• A magnifying glass is a convex lens that is used to produce a
magnified image of an object.
• The lens is usually mounted in a frame with a handle.
• A low vision refers to an optical device that improves or
enhances residual vision by magnifiers.
• A patient with a low vision is a person who because of an
irreversible disorder of the visual system can not perform
customary visual activities without the special vision
enhancing devices.
