Integrating technology with instruction means using learning technologies to introduce, reinforce, or supplement ideas and extend skills. True integration occurs when student technology use is woven into teaching patterns and software extends student tools. There is no integration if technology is only used for rest periods or solely to teach computer skills. For integration to occur, technology must be planned to fit into the learning process and address specific instructional issues through changed instructional strategies.

Integrating technology with teaching means the use of

 Reinforce (an existing idea),
 Supplement (absorption)
 extending the skills

3. The difference between the classrooms of exemplary
users of technology and technology users is the way
their classes are conducted.
In the exemplary classrooms, student use of computers
is woven integrally into the patterns of teaching;
software is a natural extension of student tools.

4. There is NO INTEGRATIVE PROCESS in letting the
students play computer games to give them a rest
period during classes.
NEITHER is there INTEGRATION, if the teacher
merely teaches students computer skills.

 The teacher sets instructional strategies to address
specific instructional issues/problems.
 The use of technology provides the opening of
opportunities to respond to these instructional
issues/problems.
 In sum, technology occupies a position (is a simple or
complex way) in the instructional process.
