Additional Background & Achievements with Chevron
Since the inception of the Malongo Paint Program in 2007 we have successfully
refurbished almost 500,000M2 of protective coating systems surpassing every annual
metric set.
Various projects & campaigns completed include annual offshore coating refurbishment
(M2 program was 100,000M2 in 2015), scheduled asset Integrity compliance Turn
Around outages, developed program to address Asset Integrity Work Requests based
on equipment priority & failure consequence.
Implementation of QC systems to assure the standard of the works executed are
accurately recorded & reside in documentum to provide a database of all completed
coating activities within the concession to provide best in class performance.
Developed the incumbent Paint contractor to become the poster child for FE Safety
achievements within the Chevron FE family – world class performance.
Malongo assets consist of a sprawling onshore Tank Storage & Gas processing Facility,
FPSO’s, over 200 offshore assets including multiple complexes, gathering stations &
remote well jackets.

Resources include offshore paint boats, numerous deck crews with UHP & grit blasting
capabilities, Paint shops & blast booth facilities for the 3 onshore fabrication workshops.

Coatings Consultant for Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Co. Ltd.
Conducting Coatings surveys for all of companies onshore & offshore assets,
producing maintenance procedures / coating specifications and work scopes for
short/long term maintenance recoating planning & budgeting.
Work scopes to be carried out in North Field 100km. offshore Doha (Qatar) from self
contained accommodation/work station vessels & Ras Laffan LNG plant.

Professional History
I have over 35 years professional experience in the coatings industry, beginning
with an apprenticeship as a painter with British steel Corporation in the UK, from
there I worked world wide contracting as initially Sprayer, Sprayer/blaster,
Foreman, Supervisor then Inspector for various UK painting contractors world
wide.
I had initially begun contracting on shipping - dry dockings & ship painting whilst
en route.
Then I worked on pipelines, worked on platform construction sites, terminals &
tank farms which was my introduction to the oil/gas industry 15 years ago, I then
proceeded to work on offshore construction projects Island terminals, Floating
roof tanks, LNG Trains etc & Hook ups;
15 years ago I began as Painting Foreman on offshore oil/gas platforms starting
in the North sea for ICC in the BP Forties field & Du Pont on Conoco Loggs PD
until 92 when my professional career took me to Abu Dhabi - Firstly as N.P.C.
field representative / operations co-ordinator during major annual well head
towers repainting in Zakum field & Das Island during LNG train 3 construction.
I joined ADMA OPCO as lower Zakum Field Paint Inspector/Supervisor then
transferred to my present position within ZADCO over 5 years ago.
Both were similar positions in the same offshore location Adma’s portion of the
oilfield being lower Zakum, whilst Zadco’s portion being upper Zakum, during
which time I have helped plan & oversee yearly offshore major reblast –
recoating of unmanned platforms by contractors personnel, major Insulation

refurbishment operations on Gas Gathering platforms & carried out the planning
/executions of both long & short term maintenance programs simultaneously.
I have been a member of Zadco's coating commercial strategy team (strategy is
being implemented at present).
After Nationalisation of my position I was employed in Qatar as company senior
Inspector, first for Dolphin Energy then Ras Gas to produce maintenance
Specifications, oversee & mange a team of inspectors during the construction
phase of 2 new LNG trains, also produced maintenance programs with
prioritised work scope for companies existing facilities.
I have attended numerous safety training courses throughout my time in the
oil/gas industry ranging from H2S awareness to Lifeboat Captain & served on
safety committees.
I am conversant with most major oil company's permit to work systems &
International safe working practices.
I am a reliable, computer literate, competent & self motivated
coatings/insulation/Fire proofing Inspector used to working as part of multi
national management team workforce & as Team Leader, I am competent
planning, budgeting, executing contracts & major Insulation/coating/fire proofing
planned shut downs for either new construction or maintenance works &
meeting planned deadlines while ensuring the quality of the completed works
from my wide ranging experience.
I am also computer literate & competent with company’s software systems for
work requests, ordering materials/equipment & report compilation & entering into
database.
