Professional Summary
Self-motivated and driven, with proven leadership skills in managing, developing and motivating
engineering/construction teams to achieve and exceed the goals and objectives of assigned
projects. Committed team member with a strong emphasis on safety in design and execution.
Over 28 years of construction, drilling and engineering experience, working front line construction
including offshore hook ups, covering onshore/offshore facilities in the UK, Europe, Africa and the
Middle East. Project environments cover EPC, Integrated Service Contracts (ISC’s) and Project
Management Consultancy (PMC). Leading up to Senior Supervision/Engineer achieving on time
completion of various Oil and Gas upgrade and new build projects; extensive experience in all
construction aspects for piping, mechanical, steel structures, storage tanks, modular fabrication,
including erection, welding, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
Familiar with design engineering principles and safety reviews such as HAZCON, Design Safety,
Constructability and Maintainability reviews. Construction management, planning, resourcing,
work pack development, Readiness reviews and authorization to proceed in line with clients
procedures, job card development, task risk assessments, inspection and testing requirements,
client handover and acceptance. Exercise and implement QA/QC procedures as laid down by
ASME, BS and ISO codes on all projects.
Safety is a major element of my responsibilities and is my top priority. In 2013 I was recognized
as overall safety champion by Zadco, UZ-750 projects, for my commitment, interaction,
intervention, guidance and the awareness training I conducted throughout the year.
Employment History
September 2012 – Present: Accommodation and Utilities Project (AUP) Fabrication
Engineer - AMEC Abu Dhabi
AUP is part of the UZ-750 project located offshore Abu Dhabi on four artificial islands which
involves the engineering (design and approval), fabrication, delivery, installation, commissioning
and handover to Zadco Drilling and Operations to provide accommodation and utilities for an
anticipated duration of 20+ years.

My responsibilities include periodic surveillance visits to various sub-contractor yards and
workshops located within the UAE, offshore and abroad (Turkey & China). My objective is to
monitor progress and feedback status on sub-contractors scope of work and to assure the quality
of equipment fabrication, against company specification and recognized international Oil & Gas
standards. Also, ensuring production is carried out safely and within the established budget and
program milestones.
I am also responsible for the review and comment of project documentation; Drawings,
Procedures, Method Statements, Plans, Schedules and Specifications, together with onsite
inspections for tri-party walk-throughs, FATs, SATs, Test verifications, witness and acceptance.
October 2011 – September 2012: Project Management Consultancy Service (PMC)
Contract, Construction Field Engineer – AMEC Abu Dhabi
Transferred from AMEC Kuwait to work on the Zadco UZ750 project, construction of four new
Islands. Due to delay in construction I was allocated to the New Main Oil Line (NMOL) project as
Construction Field Engineer.
The project had been in construction with EPC Contractor, NPCC (National Petroleum
Construction Company) for approximately 2 years, consisting of a 42” oil line running from ZCC
offshore installation to Zirku Island facility. The NMOL is to replace the Existing Main Oil Line
(EMOL) of approximately 65 kilometers in length, subsea. ZCC offshore installation is also being
equipped with new PIG launcher plus associated valves, structural supporting/strengthening and
replacement 36” header associated piping and all required E&I tie ins to new and existing control
systems. Zirku Island is a repeat. Both ZCC and Zirku islands are having early tie in works
carried out in parallel for UZ750 project during construction. The plan includes Pre-Shutdown,
Shutdown, Post Shutdown, Pre-commissioning and assistance with Zadco commissioning
activities on completion.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing documentation to verify all is as per Clients procedures and standards, attending
meetings, involvement with RAs and Readiness reviews. Building good communications with
Client, Assigned PMC and Contractors site Management.
As of 9th February 2012 I mobilized to ZCC installation in the upper Zakum field as Client Rep on
Contractors Barge SEP-350 to oversee construction and HSE for Pre Works prior to planned
shutdown in May 2012.
February 2008 – September 2011: Field Senior Construction Supervisor, AMEC Kuwait
The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract provides
engineering and project management services for the KOC. This includes FEED development of
client strategic plans including the development of Target Cost Estimates and Schedules in
preparation for third party bid packages, subsequent bid evaluation and recommendations for
contract award.
Responsibilities:

• JLO FEED: Develop client project scopes to such a degree to allow third party contractors to
bid for contracts
• Provide Health and Safety leadership to project personnel, internal and external,
• Develop and maintain the project management plan for each assigned project to ensure
company revenues are secure
• Promote team working across all functional teams, internal and external, in order to achieve

project objectives within agreed cost and time targets without compromising safety
• Provide regular progress reports to all project upper Management, ensuring major
achievements and issues are appropriately publicised
• Coordination between all functional teams to ensure the resource requirements of the
assigned project are met
• Capture lessons learned and the subsequent cascade, promoting a continuous improvement
culture
• Development of company processes to improve project delivery
• Provide client with advice/recommendations on contractual issues ensuring that deviations
are appropriately recorded and approved within agreed change management procedures
• Ensure that contractor works comply with all contractual deliverables in line with
specifications and approved procedures and quality requirements
• Ensure regular audit of contractor compliance with approved management systems and
procedures
• The management of the EPC phase along with the assigned contractor, covering project
management, engineering, construction, commissioning, handover and project close out
activities to ensure specified project schedule and quality requirements were adhered to.

September 2005 – January 2008: AMEC, Great Yarmouth
Offshore and office upgrade projects, various Shell installations in Southern North Sea. Initially
employed as Foreman, then promoted to Senior Construction Supervisor.
December 2003 – September 2005: Foreman Pipe Fitter, Bonga FSPO, Nigeria
Construction/Hook-Up floating production storage and off-loading vessel situated 150 miles off
the Nigerian Coast, West Africa.
Foreman Pipe Fitter (Night Shift) on 30/26 day rotation, working with a team varying between 8
and 17 of various Nationalities. Safety is of paramount importance and I conducted pre-shift
Tool-Box-Talks to 50/60 of all trades.

December 2003 – September 2005: Foreman Pipe Fitter, Bonga FSPO, Nigeria Construction/Hook-Up floating production storage and off-loading vessel situated 150 miles off the Nigerian Coast, West Africa. Foreman Pipe Fitter (Night Shift) on 30/26 day rotation, working with a team varying between 8 and 17 of various Nationalities. Safety is of paramount importance and I conducted pre-shift Tool-Box-Talks to 50/60 of all trades.
