This document studies the use of aluminum dross and powder as partial replacements for cement in producing lightweight concrete. Testing was conducted on concrete mixtures with 5%, 10%, and 15% replacements of cement with aluminum dross and powder. The results showed that 10% replacement of cement with aluminum dross produced concrete with sufficient compressive and tensile strengths for construction purposes while reducing the density. Both density and strength decreased as replacement levels increased due to the formation of air voids from the reaction of aluminum with cement. The 10% aluminum dross mixture provided better results than equivalent aluminum powder replacements. In conclusion, partial replacement of cement with waste materials like aluminum dross and powder can produce usable lightweight concrete.
