This document discusses designing a monitoring system for distribution transformers using sensors and a microcontroller. It compares different temperature sensors, controllers, and communication modules that could be used. LM35 temperature sensors and ACS712 current sensors are selected to monitor transformer temperature and current due to their specifications matching needs. An Arduino Uno microcontroller is chosen as the controller for its low cost and ease of programming. An ESP8266 WiFi module will transmit sensor data to an application where the monitored parameters will be displayed, allowing real-time transformer monitoring. Ijeee 33-36-surveillance system for coal mines based on wireless sensor networkKumar Goud
Abstract: The foremost critical task for coal mine is of keeping track of miners spread out across a large mining areas .It becomes even difficult when mine tunnels collapse. Many mines use a radio system to track miners, but when a collapse occurs, the base stations connected by a thin wire often are rendered useless. In this project to overcome the demerits of radio system we used wireless technology for tracking the miners. For this purpose a small RF transmitter module is equipped to each person entering a mine. Each transceiver placed in the mine look after the location of miners. The transceivers communicate with base stations through Zigbee module. In addition of tracking the location of miners we also include sensors such as temperature & humidity to intimate the base station & miners when some atmosphere changes occur. Mine operators are now able to monitor the real-time locations of each miner to better pinpoint their locations in the event of an emergency. Even after a full-day of use, mine operators can locate an individual miner within ten feet.

When a fault occurred a SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number detailing about type of fault and location of fault.
Presently, humans are employed for temperature netting and mask identification in public places to help the spread of COVID-19. We have temperature testing systems for all surveying entrances, but custom-made temperature scanning has numerous downsides. The staff isn’t well-clued in the operation of temperature scanners. When reading values, there is space for mortal error. People are constantly allowed entry despite advanced temperature readings or the lack of masks. A manual scanning device or system is ineffective. So there needs an automatic system that checks for temperature and mask. We propose a fully automated temperature scanner and entry provider system to break this issue. The system uses a temperature scanner and a camera for capturing images. However, the scanner is connected to a gate or an entrance like structure that prevents entry, If a high temperature or the absence of a mask is observed. To cover the entire process, the device uses a temperature sensor and camera connected to a Raspberry Pi system.
A microprocessor controlled automatic door opener including means for detecting the velocity and direction of travel of the door. The micro-controller evaluates detected changes in either the velocity or direction of travel to determine the cause, and either reverses door travel direction or ignores the detection. The settings of the door are stored in the memory of the microprocessor. The microcontroller will regulate the opening and closing speed and the direction of door travel depending upon a preprogrammed sequence. The door control mechanism is able to differentiate between these internal factors and external obstructions.

Today safety of miners is a major challenge. Miners health is in danger mainly because of the emission of Toxic gases, insufficiency of oxygen and mine disasters. In this project we have designed a continuous monitoring system, which monitors the environmental parameters such as oxygen level and poisonous gases (methane, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide). It also measures the miner’s pulse rate, which is done by using the heart rate sensor. During the accidents, by using this device we get to know that how many miners are alive under the mine. This system uses Zigbee technology for wireless transmission. The parameters are detected continuously by various sensors, if any abnormal condition occurs the miner will get an alert through the buzzer present on the helmet. The values of different sensors are continuously transmitted by wireless transmitter to the remote monitoring unit which is placed outside the mine and received by the receiver module (PC).
I made this project soon after completing my trainee period. This project was aimed at reducing human effort and allowing ease of access to differently-abled people. Home automation using bluetooth is really cheap to build and easy install in your home.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Power plants release a large amount of water vapor into the
atmosphere through the stack. The flue gas can be a potential
source for obtaining much needed cooling water for a power
plant. If a power plant could recover and reuse a portion of this
moisture, it could reduce its total cooling water intake
requirement. One of the most practical way to recover water
from flue gas is to use a condensing heat exchanger. The power
plant could also recover latent heat due to condensation as well
as sensible heat due to lowering the flue gas exit temperature.
Additionally, harmful acids released from the stack can be
reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation. reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation.
Condensation of vapors in flue gas is a complicated
phenomenon since heat and mass transfer of water vapor and
various acids simultaneously occur in the presence of noncondensable
gases such as nitrogen and oxygen. Design of a
condenser depends on the knowledge and understanding of the
heat and mass transfer processes. A computer program for
numerical simulations of water (H2O) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4)
condensation in a flue gas condensing heat exchanger was
developed using MATLAB. Governing equations based on
mass and energy balances for the system were derived to
predict variables such as flue gas exit temperature, cooling
water outlet temperature, mole fraction and condensation rates
of water and sulfuric acid vapors. The equations were solved
using an iterative solution technique with calculations of heat
and mass transfer coefficients and physical properties.
