This document summarizes a study analyzing the structural and modal properties of a secondary air flow system for a turbine engine. Solid modeling and finite element analysis were performed on the system. Static structural analysis found stresses met design requirements under normal, proof, and burst pressure loads. Modal analysis determined the first six natural frequencies and mode shapes. Results from the finite element analysis closely matched analytical calculations. The first fundamental frequency of 593Hz was found to be sufficiently far from excitation frequencies to avoid resonance.

The present article describes the improvement of Self-regulation Nonlinear PID (SN-PID) controller. A new function is introduced to improve the system performance in terms of transient without affecting the steady state performance. It is used to optimize the nonlinear function available on this controller. The signal error is reprocessed through this function, and the result is used to tune the nonlinear function of the controller. Furthermore, the presence of the dead zone on the proportional valve is solved using Dead Zone Compensator (DZC). Simulations and experiments were carried out on the pneumatic positioning system. Comparisons between the existing methods were examined and successfully demonstrated.

Abstract
NACA aerofoil shapes have been successfully used over the years as wing and tail sections for general aviation and military aircraft, as well as propellers and helicopter rotors. The aircraft performance is highly affected by induced drag caused by wingtip vortices to improve fuel efficiency. In this research work, the analysis of NACA 66-206 aerofoil propellers was investigated for high-speed aircraft propulsion.CFD analysis is performed on the NACA aerofoil to verify the aerodynamic characteristics and enhancing the lift of the aircraft by changing the orientation of angle of attack 00, 100 and 200 and to determine the drag and lift coefficients by applying inlet velocities. An auxiliary part, winglets are added on propeller blade tip in order to improve the performance of propeller. By adding this auxiliary equipment the weight of propeller are significantly increased. To decrease the weight without compromising the performance of the propeller the fiber reinforced composite materials are used. The effects of stacking sequence layers of composite materials, which were fabricated from Kevlar, carbon, glass fibres, and epoxy resin have been used to increase the strength to weight ratio. To validate the strength of the propeller, Structural and buckling analysis is performed.

In this Paper, a classical PID controller with anti-windup technique is employed for controlling the
microstructure development during hot working process. The strength of any material is dependent on the grain
size of that material [4], [9]. The strength of the material is increased when its grain size is reduced. In this
paper, the standard Arrehenious equation of 0.3% carbon steel is utilized to obtain an optimal deformation path
such that the grain size of the product should be 26m. The 0.3% carbon steel improves in the machinability
by heat treatment [8]. It must also be noted that this steel is especially adaptable for machining or forging and
where surface hardness is desirable. The plant model is developed with grain size. The effect of process control
parameters such as strain, strain rate, and temperature on important microstructural features can be
systematically formulated and then solved as an optimal control problem. These approaches are applied to
obtain the desired grain size of 26m from an initial grain size of 180m. The simulation is done on various
grain sizes using the controller by MATLAB simulink toolbox. From the response it is found that the PID
controller with anti-windup provides better performance. Resulting tabulated performance indices showed a
considerable improvement in settling time besides reducing steady state error.

Internal model controller based PID with fractional filter design for a nonli...IJECEIAES
In this paper, an Internal model Controller (IMC) based PID with fractional filter for a first order plus time delay process is proposed. The structure of the controller has two parts, one is integer PID controller part cascaded with fractional filter. The proposed controller has two tuning factors λ, filter time constant and a, fractional order of the filter. In this work, the two factors are decided in order to obtain low Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE). The effectiveness of the proposed controller is studied by considering a non linear (hopper tank) process. The experimental set up is fabricated in the laboratory and then data driven model is developed from the experimental data. The non linear process model is linearised using piecewise linearization and two linear regions are obtained. At each operating point, linear first order plus dead time model is obtained and the controller is designed for the same. To show the practical applicability, the proposed controller is implemented for the proposed experimental laboratory prototype.
