Improved predictive current model control based on adaptive PR controller for...IJECEIAES
This paper investigates an improved current predictive model control (PCMC) strategy with a prediction horizon of one sampling time for voltage regulation in standalone system based on diesel engine driven fixed speed synchronous generator. An adaptive PR controller with anti-windup scheme is employed to achieve high performance regulation without saturation issues. In addition, new method to obtain the optimal parameters of the adaptive PR controller to achieve high performance during the transition and in steady state, is provided. Furthermore, to balance the power at the point of common coupling (PCC), as well as, to fulfilling a clean power to the connected loads, a three-phase voltage source inverter (VSI) with LRC filter is controlled using the developed improved PCMC strategy. The output filter current is controlled using the predicting of the system behaviour model in the future step, at each sampling prediction time. The performances of the developed control strategy are verified using Matlab/Simulink interface.

This work represents a mathematical analysis and
simulation of dc-motor electric drive control system with
variable moment of inertia. A separately-excited dc motor is
used in this control system. A mathematical model for this
motor has been simulated and tested in Matlab/Simulink. A
closed-loop control system for this dc electric drive system is
proposed. The proposed control system is based on the
technical optimum method of design. The controlled variable
of this system is the load angular speed. In this control system
the moment of inertia is considered to be variable. It varies as
a function of time. A speed controller and a current controller
are designed for the suggested model to meet the desired
performance specifications by using the technical optimum
method. These controllers are attached to the control system
and the closed-loop response is observed by simulation and
testing this model. The results show the high-performance of
the designed control system.

Effects of the Droop Speed Governor and Automatic Generation Control AGC on G...IJAPEJOURNAL
In power system, as any inequality between production and consumption results in an instantaneous change in frequency from nominal, frequency should be always monitored and controlled. Traditionally, frequency regulation is provided by varying the power output of generators which have restricted ramp rates. The Automatic Generation Control AGC process performs the task of adjusting system generation to meet the load demand and of regulating the large system frequency changes. A result of the mismatches between system load and system generation, system frequency and the desired value of 50 Hz is the accumulation of time error. How equilibrium system frequency is calculated if load parameters are frequency dependent, and how can frequency be controlled. Also, how do parameters of a speed governor affect generated power. The transient processes before system frequency settles down to steady state. Finally, AGC in what way is it different from governor action. This paper presents new approaches for AGC of power system including two areas having one steam turbines and one hydro turbine tied together through power lines.

In textile industry many processes require speed synchronization of more than one motors involved in the process. Rolling of cloth should be synchronized with the speed of weaving spindle to avoid damage and motor speed synchronization is vital in conveyor belt driven by multiple motors. Abrupt load variations may cause hunting or oscillatory behavior in d. c. machines. This behavior can be detrimental to the process. The digitally controlled d. c. machines can have much aggravated phenomenon owing to poor sampling period selection. Traditionally processes are synchronized through mechanical transmission system consisting of a line shaft gears, pullers etc. Among the available software mechanisms master-slave synchronization is a widely used technique. Multi-motor applications have become very attractive field in industrial applications replacing in traditional mechanical coupling. Many textile applications involved synchronized speed motors. For example wrapping of clothes should be synchronized with the speed of weaving spindle to avoid damage and Similarly in some cases the speed of long conveyor belt driven by multiple motors is need to be constant. In such types of applications master slave technique is used as a software mechanism to synchronize the speed of different motors to avoid damage.

Brushless DC Motor Drive during Speed Regulation with Artificial Neural Netwo...IJERA Editor
Brushless DC motor, at this moment is extensively used being many industrial functions due to the different
features like high efficiency and dynamic response and high speed range. This paper is proposing a technology
named as Artificial Neural Network controller to control the speed of the brushless DC motor. Here the paper
contributes an analysis of performance Artificial Neural Network controller. Because it is difficult to handle by
the use of conventional PID controller as BLDC drive is a nonlinear. Through PID controller, the speed
regulation of BLDC is not efficient and reliable as PID controller cannot operate the large data, results it gives
different variation in BLDC motor control. The ANN easily trains the data of large amount by NN toolbox. As
ANN controller has the strength to indulge characteristics of control and it is accessible to operate the huge
amount of data as like human can store in a mind. The empirical results prove that an ANN controller can better
control the act than the PID controller. The modelling, control and the simulation of the BLDCM get done by
applying MATLAB/SIMULINK software kit.
CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

Courier management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.
