This document discusses utilizing real-life experiences in inquiry-based life science instruction. It notes that teachers should provide real-world connections to engage students with global issues. The study examined how 102 junior high school science teachers in the Philippines incorporated real-life experiences and inquiry-based learning into their lessons. It found that teachers moderately used real-life experiences and applied the phases of inquiry-based learning. The document recommends using proposed learning plans to enhance science instruction and developing an assessment tool to determine the impact of incorporating real-life experiences.
This research aims to understand the influence process of science skill and motivation learning with creativity learn. Data about the process of scince skill, motivation and creativity learn collected by test questioner instrument. Data analysis with regression analysis and correlation. Research shows that: There is the influence of skill process of science to the process of creativity learn with correlation coefficient r=0.634, there is the influence of motivation learn students to creativity learning with correlation coefficient r=0.55, the process of science skills and motivation to study for students influence of creativity learn with correlation coefficient r=0.935. This study concluded that skill process of science and the motivation to study student could creative learning.

Pedagogical approaches and techniques are common among teachers, but some are more effective and appropriate than others. The study is focused on identifying the basic pedagogical approaches and techniques of Senior High School non-education graduate teachers (SHSNEGT) teaching General Mathematics using the purposive sampling method, the main respondents of the study are 12 SHSNEGT and two experts per school in Aliaga District, Municipality of Aliaga in Nueva Ecija. With the use of concurrent mixed-method research design and data statistical analysis, the results show that teacher-respondents whose age ranges from 25 to 38 are categorized as "young adults and professionals" and 83.33% are female with two years teaching experience in SHS, having BS Degree and specialization related in business courses as well as in their previous work. Using logical/matrix and inductive analysis and weighted mean, the subject matter-centered approach has weighted mean3.92 and the teacher-centered approach has 3.31 mean and considered dominant and "significantly evident" in teaching General Mathematics. With regards to pedagogical techniques applied by the teachers using weighted mean, "setting of objectives" has the highest weighted mean of 3.44, lesson development has 3.39, application 3.36, evaluation 3.35 and materials being used have 3.28. All items with a verbal description of “outstanding". They set their objectives based on learning competencies with three domains of learning, using board, with motivational activity on lesson development and board-work, group activity, problem sets, and quiz as a means of evaluation. Using ANOVA test analysis, previous work has significant differences in the pedagogical approaches(F=10.667, sig = .004) but there are no significant differences in terms of techniques (F=.510, sig=.65). The majority of the teachers are challenged about the attitude and behavior of the students towards learning. To develop productive notions of teaching, teachers must think of appropriate pedagogical approaches and techniques for every topic/lesson.
The purpose of this study was to investigate student scientific attitudes toward civic education lesson through inquiry-based learning. The samples in this study were selected using stratified random sampling technique. Interactive data analysis consists of two stages: data collection and data display. The data were gathered by observation and interviews. Statistical results indicated that the student scientific attitudes towards civic education were a positive. Inquiry-based learning enhances student scientific attitude, where the most visible indicator of scientific attitudes is students' curiosity. Building scientific attitude can provide a logical solution to the problem student faced in their daily life and has scientific thinking skills. Creating and using science concepts related to students’ lives and interests will provide opportunities for a student to build their scientific attitude through meaningful learning activities. Scientific attitudes are grown through a series of experiences that students discover on their own during the learning process.

Students are challenged to develop their own learning skills and strategies for life-long learning. With this,
the study investigated and analyzed the level of learning skills and strategies of the students in relation to
the extent of implementation of learner-centered teaching in the classroom. This study conducted a survey
in a high school institution where 900 students from first year to fourth year levels were considered as
respondents. A survey tool was used to evaluate the students’ level on their learning skills, collaborative
learning, and study skills through learner-centered teaching. It was found out that students rated
themselves as Good in their learning skills and strategies. This leads to enriching more the learning skills
and strategies of the students and providing them more opportunities to be engaged in meaningful activities
from which they develop their own knowledge and skills applicable in their day-to-day lives

This study aims to determine the views of students majoring in mathematics education and natural science faculty of teacher training and education science at Universitas Jambi to use electronic’s module in physics practicum which is based on science process skills. The study involved 117 students majoring in mathematics education and science which consists of 59 students of physical education and 58 students of mathematics education. This research is descriptive quantitative research in order to obtain information mean (M), median (Me), mode (Mo), percentage, the range of the maximum value and the minimum value. Data was collected by using questionnaires and interviews. Based on the research results from students’ perceptions of physical education in good category at 64.4% while the student's perception of mathematics education in good category amounting to 55.2%.
Abstract- This study aims to produce learning tools based on guided inquiry models that are feasible to improve the science process skills of elementary school students. This research is a development research, with ADDIE model. The research trial design uses one group pretest-posttest design with quantitative descriptive analysis techniques and qualitative descriptions. The subject of this study is a learning device consisting of a syllabus, learning implementation plan, student worksheets, student teaching materials, tests on learning outcomes of science process skills. The trial was carried out on 40 students of grade five in elementary school. Data collection methods use validation, observation, tests, and filling out the questionnaire. The results of the analysis of the research data show: (1) the device developed is valid; (2) legibility of Student Book and Student Work Sheet at the independent level; (3) learning takes place in either category; (4) students become active in learning; (5) students give positive responses in the excellent category to learning; (6) science process skills show a high category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry-based learning device that has been developed is feasible to improve students' science process skills.

This study purposed to investigate researching anxiety of pre-service teachers
that might want to explain why they are able to learn successfully in the
context of difference in program of study. There were 15 pre-service teachers
in M.Ed. program of teaching science and mathematics voluntary
participated. Learning Anxiety Questionnaire (LAQ) was employed their
anxiety towards learning through Google Form. The study revealed that preservice
teachers
had
anxiety
at
medium
level.
However,
some
of
item
present
they
had
different
level
of
anxiety.
The
effective
learning
for
decreasing
level
anxiety
needs
to
be
more
discussed.
Students come into our courses with knowledge, beliefs, and attitudes gained in other courses and through daily life. As students bring this knowledge to bear in our classrooms, it influences how they filter and interpret what they are learning. If students’ prior knowledge is robust and accurate and activated at the appropriate time, it provides a strong foundation for building new knowledge. However, when knowledge is inert, insufficient for the task, activated inappropriately, or inaccurate, it can interfere with or impede new learning. To apply this principle, consider the following teaching techniques:
Administer a diagnostic assessment or have students assess their own prior knowledge (See “Selected Classroom Assessment Techniques (CATs) for Getting Feedback on Student Learning”).
Use brainstorming to reveal prior knowledge.
Identify discipline-specific conventions explicitly.
Ask students to make and test predictions (See “Teaching for Retention in Science, Engineering & Mathematics”).

Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
