This document proposes a smart agriculture framework that utilizes IoT technologies like sensors, actuators, and wireless networks to automate agricultural processes. The framework has four layers - physical objects like sensors, local gateways that aggregate data from objects, the internet to transmit data to the cloud, and a cloud platform. Sensor data on soil moisture, weather etc. is sent to the cloud via gateways and internet. Experts analyze cloud data and provide farming suggestions to farmers via a mobile app. The system aims to optimize irrigation, minimize crop losses, and improve yields and farmer incomes through automated monitoring and control of agriculture.
