1) The document presents a study on estimating heat transfer in helically coiled heat exchangers through experimental and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods. 2) An experimental setup was created and CFD analysis using ANSYS was conducted to study fluid flow and temperature distribution within helically coiled heat exchangers. 3) The CFD predictions matched reasonably well with experimental results, validating the CFD methodology. Based on this, CFD can be used to further optimize coil configurations and develop generalized heat transfer correlations.
