Design and development of intelligent electronics travelling aid for visually...eSAT Journals
Abstract The dynamic nature of the environment poses a big challenge to the visually impaired in navigation. This compels most of the visually impaired persons in the developing countries, who generally do not get any technology support, to depend on the visual sense of others, thus, undermining their independence. The intelligent electronic travelling aid for the visually impaired (IETA-VI) designed and developed by the authors and reported here, intends to provide solution to the navigational challenges of the visually impaired individuals. The system utilizes the ultrasonic detection technology for detecting any obstacle in his/her path, and then converts the distance to the obstacle into voice using voice synthesis technology so as to inform the visually impaired user. The device uses GPS and GSM technologies to determine the location of the user and to send this location to his/her care givers on mobile phone, respectively. The device also recognizes the voice signals of the visually impaired when in distress, by making use of voice recognition technology and send SMS to his care givers giving his location and asking them to help him. In a moment of emergency, when the visually impaired requires the attention of his/her care givers, the device provides three alternatives: The first alternative it provides is an emergency key, which when pressed will automatically send the location of the visually impaired to the care givers. The second alternative is that the visually impaired shouts (gives a voice command), the device responds by sending the location of the visually impaired to the care givers. The third alternatives take care of the situation when the user is unconscious or cannot even speak. This is provided by the display device, which displays the names and contact details of his/her care givers, so that someone can offer a helping hand. Design of Image Projection Using Combined Approach for TrackingIJMER
Over the years the techniques and methods that have been used to interact with the
computers have evolved significantly. From the primitive use of punch cards to the latest touch screen
panels we can see the vast improvement in interaction with the system. There are many new ways of
projection and interaction technologies that can reshape our perception and interaction
methodologies. Also projection technology is very useful for creating various geometric displays. In
earlier generations, the projector technology was used for projecting images and videos on single
screen, using large and bulky setup. To overcome the earlier limitations we are designing “Wireless
Image Projection Tracking”, which is a system that uses IR (Infrared) technology to track the body in
the IR range and uses their movements for image orientation and manipulations like zoom, tilt/rotate,
and scale. We are presenting a method of mapping IR light source position and orientation to an
image. By using this system we can also track single and multiple IR light source positions and also it
can be used effectively to see the image projection in 3D view. Extension in this technology can further
be useful for future tracking capabilities to implement the touch screen feature for commercial
applications.
Sherlock: Monitoring sensor broadcasted data to optimize mobile environmentijsrd.com
Rich-sensor Smartphones have made possible the recent birth of the mobile sensing research area as part of ubiquitous sensing which integrates other areas such as wireless sensor networks and web sensing. The object of sensing can be people-centered or environment-centered. The sensing domain can be home, urban, vehicular etc. Now there are barriers that limit the social acceptance of mobile sensing systems. Several technical barriers are phone energy savings and the variety of sensors and software for their management. In this article, we design and implement Sherlock technology, which captures a micro-environment through sensors and automatically records sensor hints and optimize the micro-environment of smartphones. We refer to such immediate surroundings as micro-environment, usually several to a dozen of centimeters, around a phone. The platform runs as a daemon process on a smartphone and provides finer-grained environment information to upper layer applications via programming interfaces. Sherlock is a unified framework covering the major cases of phone usage, placement, attitude, and interaction in practical uses with complicated user habits. The main objective is to save battery in mobile sensing systems and provides security.
Presentazione human daily activity recognition with sparse representation u...Fabio Greco
Abstract of case study—Human daily activity recognition using mobile personal sensing technology plays a central role in the field of pervasive healthcare. One major challenge lies in the inherent complexity of human body movements and the variety of styles when people perform a certain activity. To tackle this problem, is presented a novel human activity recognition framework based on recently developed compressed sensing and sparse representation theory using wearable inertial sensors. This approach represents human activity signals as a sparse linear combination of activity signals from all activity classes in the training set. The class membership of the activity signal is determined by solving a L^1 minimization problem. Experimentally is validated the effectiveness of the sparse representation-based approach by recognizing nine most common human daily activities performed by 14 subjects. This approach achieves a maximum recognition rate of 96.1%, which beats conventional methods based on nearest neighbor, naive Bayes, and support vector machine by as much as 6.7%. Furthermore ( in the original paper form Mi Zhang, Student Member, IEEE, and Alexander A. Sawchuk, Life Fellow, IEEE) is demonstrated that by using random projection, the task of looking for “optimal features” to achieve the best activity recognition performance is less important within this framework.

VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE MONITORING IN A SMART HOME USING ELECTRONIC WHITE CANEijcsit
The monitoring of visually impaired people is important in order to help them to travel safely. Then, many
research works implement some travel aids. The proposed techniques are mostly based on the use of a
white cane. This work introduces an electronic white cane based on sensors' technology. The proposed
electronic cane helps its user to detect obstacles within two meters on the ground or in height. Once the
obstacle is detected, the system sends vocal instructions via a Bluetooth headset to alert the person
concerned. The ultrasonic and infrared sensors have been mounted on the white cane in order to provide it
with the necessary intelligence. A raspberry pi performs the processing of the data. The proposed system
also suggests using a mobile application to track the visually impaired in real-time. This application has a
function that allows you to trace the visual patient's route. This is important to detect the possible cause of
damage to patients during their travels. We use Python as programming language for electronic devices.
The mobile application is Android. Though, the WEB application is a REST API developed using Python
and NodeJs. The system is implemented and tested. The result shows the efficacity of the proposed system.

Sensor Stick walking aid for the blindsIJRES Journal
In this paper, few methods of aiding and guiding visually impaired persons are presented. They are analyzed and studied thoroughly. Some commercially available systems help in aiding people with disabilities of seeing and give information refereeing to the location of the users. We propose an intelligent” stick equipped with an ultrasonic sensor that takes information about the environment. This information is processed and is delivered to the handle stick and thus can be interpreted by the users. The stick will produce beeping sound with varying speed according to the distances of obstacles. This stick will provide assists to visually impaired persons by providing informations related to obstacles distances. This device was tested with blind persons and results are presented.
The man has been suffering with diseases and weired. Visually challenged people are blind people who are very common and difficult to deal with in their way. The main aim of this paper is to the visually challenged people with a better navigation tool. This smart walking stick is more sophisticated than a traditional walking stick. It uses a microcontroler to detect an obstacles in front, left, right side of a person. It is based on ultrasonic sensors for distance measurement property. For obstacle indication, there is voice playback which helps to mention a direction of obstacles around a visually challenged person by sensors. Along with this a receiver and buzzer placed on a stick .If the person missing a stick which can be find out by buzzer sound .This sound is induced when switch on a remote controller by visually challenged people .GPS also include in stick to find a visually challenged people.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
