This document summarizes a research study that used ANSYS software to design a thermal-electrical model for sparks generated during electrical discharge machining (EDM) and determine temperature distribution. The study aimed to model the EDM process, predict maximum temperature, and estimate material removal rate from the workpiece. Experiments were conducted using different pulse on-times and currents on an EN-19 workpiece. Results showed that material removal rate increased with higher current and pulse on-time, and was in agreement with finite element analysis results. The temperature distribution curve was also able to estimate the maximum material removal rate.

Thermal Stress Analysis of Electro Discharge MachiningIJESFT
Procedures and results of experimental work to find thermal stress analysis in electric discharge machined surfaces are presented. In this study, an axisymmetric thermo-physical FEA model for the simulation of single sparks machining during electrical discharge machining (EDM) process is shown. This model has been solved using ANSYS 14.0 software. A transient thermal analysis assuming a Gaussian distribution heat source with temperature-dependent material properties is used to investigate the stress analysis based on temperature distribution. The effect on significant machining parameters (Gap current – Gap voltage) on aforesaid responses had been investigated and found that the stresses sharply changes with the parameters [1].
The FEA model is used to study the relation between these parameters and maximum temperature attended at the end of cycle which is further used to find residual stress produced at the end of cooling cycle. To find residual stresses in the work piece during EDM, the temperature distribution at the end of pulse duration in the work piece has to be estimated [2]
High residual thermal stresses are developed on the surfaces of electric discharge machined parts because of the high temperature gradients generated at the gap during electrical discharge machining (EDM) in a small heat-affected zone. These thermal stresses can be responsible for micro-cracks, decrease in fatigue life and strength and possibly catastrophic failure. The results of the analysis show high temperature gradient zones and the regions of large stresses where, sometimes, they exceed the material yield strength. A transient thermal analysis assuming a Gaussian distribution heat can be used to investigate the Stress analysis.

Design and optimization of cost-effective coldproof portable enclosures for p...IJECEIAES
Based on the International Electrotechnical Commission standards, the electronic devices in the industrial class (e.g., integrated circuits or batteries) can only operate at the ambient temperature between -40°C and 85°C. For the human-involved regions in Alaska, Northern Canada, and Antarctica, extreme cold condition as low as -55°C might affect sensing electronic devices utilized in the scientific or industrial applications. In this paper, we propose a design and optimization methodology for the selfheating portable enclosures, which can warm up the inner space from -55°C for encasing the low-cost industrial-class electronic devices instead of expensive military-class ones to work reliably within their allowed operating temperature limit. Among the other options, ceramic thermal resistors are selected as the heating elements inside the enclosure. The placement of the thermal resistors is studied with the aid of thermal modelling for the single heating device by using the curve fitting technique to achieve uniform temperature distribution within the enclosure. To maintain the inner temperature above -40°C but with the least power consumption from the thermal resistors, we have developed a control system based on the fuzzy logic controller. For validation, we have utilized COMSOL Multiphysics software and then one prototyped enclosure along with the fuzzy control system. Our experimental measurement exhibits its efficacy compared to the other design options.

EN 1010is a low-carbon steel alloy with 0.10% carbon content. It is known for its fairly low strength and low ductility; however, it can be tempered to increase strength. Machinability of EN 1010 carbon steel is measured to be fairly good. EN 1010 is commonly used for cold headed fasteners, rivets and bolts, in addition to structural, construction and automotive applications such as fenders, pans, nails and transmission covers. Wire Electric Discharge Machine (WEDM) seems to be a good option for machining the complicated profiles. This paper, find effects of various process parameters of Wire EDM such as pulse on time (Ton), pulse off time(Toff), peak current (Ip) and servo voltage (Sv) for analysis of cutting rate (CR) while machining EN 1010. Central Composite Design is used to plan the design of experiment. The output response variable being cutting rate will be measured for all number of experiments conducted. The optimal parameter level combination would be analysed which gives desired cutting rate. These optimized values of different parameters would then be used in execution the machining operation in order to obtain the necessary outputs.

OPTIMIZATION OF WIRE EDM PARAMETERS TO ACHIEVE A FINE SURFACE FINISHIjripublishers Ijri
Wire Cut Electric Discharge Machining process with a thin wire as an electrode transforms electrical energy to thermal
energy for cutting materials. WEDM is considered as a unique adoption of the conventional EDM process, which uses
an electrode to initialize the sparking process. However, WEDM utilizes a continuously travelling wire electrode made of
thin copper, brass or tungsten of diameter 0.05-0.30 mm, which is capable of achieving very small corner radii. The wire
is kept in tension using a mechanical tensioning device reducing the tendency of producing inaccurate parts. During
the WEDM process, the material is eroded ahead of the wire and there is no direct contact between the work piece and
the wire, eliminating the mechanical stresses during machining.

Optimization of EDM Process Parameters using Response Surface Methodology for...ijtsrd
The present work demonstrates the optimization process of material removal rate MRR of electrical discharge machining EDM by RSM Response Surface Methodology . The work piece material was EN31 tool steel. The pulse on time, pulse off time, pulse current and voltage were the control parameters of EDM. RSM method was used to design the experiment using rotatable central composite design as this is the most widely used experimental design for modeling a second–order response surface. The process has been successfully modeled using response surface methodology RSM and model adequacy checking is also carried out using Minitab software. The second order response models have been validated with analysis of variance. Finally, an attempt has been made to estimate the optimum machining conditions to produce the best possible responses within the experimental constraints. Dr. N. Mahesh Kumar | Mr. P. COLLEGE BUS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROJECT REPORT.pdfKamal Acharya
The College Bus Management system is completely developed by Visual Basic .NET Version. The application is connect with most secured database language MS SQL Server. The application is develop by using best combination of front-end and back-end languages. The application is totally design like flat user interface. This flat user interface is more attractive user interface in 2017. The application is gives more important to the system functionality. The application is to manage the student’s details, driver’s details, bus details, bus route details, bus fees details and more. The application has only one unit for admin. The admin can manage the entire application. The admin can login into the application by using username and password of the admin. The application is develop for big and small colleges. It is more user friendly for non-computer person. Even they can easily learn how to manage the application within hours. The application is more secure by the admin. The system will give an effective output for the VB.Net and SQL Server given as input to the system. The compiled java program given as input to the system, after scanning the program will generate different reports. The application generates the report for users. The admin can view and download the report of the data. The application deliver the excel format reports. Because, excel formatted reports is very easy to understand the income and expense of the college bus. This application is mainly develop for windows operating system users. In 2017, 73% of people enterprises are using windows operating system. So the application will easily install for all the windows operating system users. The application-developed size is very low. The application consumes very low space in disk. Therefore, the user can allocate very minimum local disk space for this application.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
Quality defects in TMT Bars, Possible causes and Potential Solutions.PrashantGoswami42
Maintaining high-quality standards in the production of TMT bars is crucial for ensuring structural integrity in construction. Addressing common defects through careful monitoring, standardized processes, and advanced technology can significantly improve the quality of TMT bars. Continuous training and adherence to quality control measures will also play a pivotal role in minimizing these defects.
