The document introduces the Bright Star Atlas 2000 maps created by Wil Tirion. The maps cover the entire celestial sphere in 10 overlapping maps, with maps 1-2 centered on the North Celestial Pole and maps 9-10 centered on the South Celestial Pole. The maps contain all naked eye stars, as well as clusters, nebulas, galaxies and other deep sky objects for viewing with a telescope.
