2. Why this research?
Internationalization is very important for higher education
This does not happen at the same speed in all countries or institutions
There are several possible solutions
Wanted to know what kind of research / concerns is being done about
this topic all over the world
Furthermore we also wanted:
To contribute to a clearer picture of the internationalization of higher
education and related challenges;
To contribute to a better understanding of internationalization of higher

19. Results
Internationalization of higher education involves a number of
challenges but unfortunately a number of risks;
The challenges of internationalization are, first, the ability to
mobilize adequate financial and human resources to build
sustainable public policies conducive to increasing
internationalization of the campus;
The most significant risk was related to the possibility of
losing by migration an important resource of human capital;
Beneficiary countries which were considered absolute
winner of the internationalization process were subjected to
acts of international terrorism.

20. Although the challenges and risks
identified, internationalisation is
something needed and that should be
pursued by all HEI, no matter its
location or dimension.
