INTRODUCTION
System approach is a term that means to do something
systematically. In educational industry, to teach
systematically teachers must consider input, process
and output and decide objectives, contents, methods
and assessment.
The inputs are basically the objectives and objectified
contents that teachers put in, while the process is the
methods of delivery of contents. Outputs is the end-
product of educational inputs and process.
PARAMETER OF TEACHING SYSTEM
1) OPEN SYSTEM: this system include input, process and
output
2)CLOSED SYSTEM: this system include input, process,
output and feedback
INPUT
Input refers to What is put into the system
Teacher
Student
Instructional material
Instructional objectives
Curriculum
Administration
SCHOOL:
School as a Miniature Society. School is the basic foundation of
knowledge being imparted to a child. It gives a chance to children to
acquire knowledge on various fields of education
TEACHER:
what you will give to your students. Teacher input can take many forms:
lecture, handouts, explanation, modeling or providing a sample of what you
will expect students to do.
STUDENT:
Student is focused as center in teaching learning process. Without students
specific learning could not be happened. Input process student plays
an important role because without students other input can't be processed.
INSTRUCTIONAL OBJETIVES:
What’s essential is that you as teacher know why you’re doing what you are and how the
activities, assignment or whatever is planned fits in the larger plan of what your students
should learn. (Remember the Standard Course of Study—it does make clear the
objectives for each grade level).
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL:
Instructional materials are the content or information conveyed within a course.
These include the lectures, readings, textbooks, multimedia components, and other
resources in a course.
CURRICULUM :
An effective curriculum provides teachers, students, administration and
community stakeholders with a measurable plan and structure for delivering a quality
education. The curriculum identifies the learning outcomes, standards and core
competencies that students must demonstrate before advancing to the next level.
PROCESS
Process refers to what goes on in a system
Teaching and learning
TEACHING LEARNING PROCESS
Teaching and learning process can be
defined as a transformation process
of knowledge from teachers to students.
OUTPUT
Output is the product of a system. Monitored
output which is used to revise, improve and
evaluate the instructional system.
Students achievement
Attitudes
skill
For example
Advantages OF Input Process Output
Improving the quality of education
Improving the instructional system
Improving the evaluation system
Help in systematic planning
It provides a way to understand how teams perform, and how to
maximize their performance.
CONCLUSION
Inputs, process and output are system approaches in
education. Objectives, contents, methods and assessments
are the integral part of system approach and key elements in
any educational planning which is inter related with each
other.
