This document discusses a study on the adoption of open source enterprise resource planning (ERP) software by deposit-taking savings and credit cooperatives (SACCOs) in Kenya. The study aims to determine the extent of adoption of open source ERP and identify the significant factors influencing its adoption. It reviews literature on previous studies related to technology adoption in organizations. The conceptual framework uses factors from the technology-organization-environment framework and decomposed theory of planned behavior to assess their influence on ERP adoption. The study collected survey data from 378 respondents across 164 SACCOs to analyze adoption levels and significance of adoption drivers.
In this study, the researcher evaluated the challenges of e-governance implementation in
Nigerian aviation industry, using Dana Airline. The objectives of the study are; to examine the
factors that hinder the effective implementation of e-governance in the selected airline in
aviation industry in Nigeria; and to examine if the factors identified in the implementation of egovernance
have significantly affected the performance of selected airlines in aviation industry
in Nigeria. Recorded population of the study is 850, and the study used Yaro Yamane formula
at 95% confidence level to obtain a sample size of 272. Cronbach alpha was employed to obtain
a reliability instrument that yielded an index coefficient of 0.843, which made the instrument
reliable. In line with the design of this study, the data that were collected for this study were
analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The objectives posed for the study were
answered using mean, standard deviation, and sample independent t-test statistics. The
hypothesis was tested at 5% level of significance. Based on the findings of the study, it was
concluded that ICT infrastructure is the most factor that hinders the implementation of egovernance
in Nigerian aviation industry. This means that without proper ICT infrastructure, it is
impossible to implement the e-governance in aviation industry in a developing country like
Nigeria. In the absence of proper awareness among the users of the e-governance system, it is
impossible to set up an effective e-governance system. Non-acceptability of IT systems, Low
financial capability, Lack of electricity, High-cost, low-reliability of Internet access, Lack of
training facilities and Lack of planning are all factors that hinder the effective implementation of
e-governance in aviation industry in Nigeria. The study also concluded that the
factors/challenges identified in the implementation of e-governance have significantly affected
the performance of selected airlines in aviation industry in Nigeria. The study therefore
recommends among others based on the findings of the study that it is paramount to have a
proper ICT infrastructure to implement e-governance; government should take appropriate steps
to enhance the awareness among the users of e-governance by organizing seminar meeting and
other enlighten the users in the proper application of e-governance.

Objective: This study aimed to find a solution to the acceptance of smart buildings in Iran using the technology
acceptance model (TAM). The main research question is the significance of this model relationships, as well as the
anticipated adoption of smart buildings in Iran using variables included in the model.
Methods: This descriptive study, is based on survey data collection methods and the way of analyzing data is correlational and casual study. Measurement tool was designed based on the standardized questionnaire presented by Davis. The reliability coefficient was 0.88. Statistical population is unlimited and included citizens of Iran in 1395. The sample consisted of 388 individuals. Given the infinity of society and Cochran formula, 384 individual is sufficient for
this research. This study is a random sampling one that was done in the period of 30 days.
Findings and conclusions: The results revealed that all relationships in the model are significant. And among the
variables of the model, perceived usefulness, the attitude toward using, and features of smart buildings had the most
intense relationship in acceptance this technology. Using regression equations, each of the dependent variables in the
model, is predictable by the independent variables.
Innovation of research: The intensity of relationship between variables in technology acceptance model and impact of each variable in explaining the criterion factor was analyzed.
Research limitations: Many people tend not to complete the questionnaire and some ones answer questions unrealistic. Despite all the explanations to justify the respondents, still there are possible directions in responses.
Practical consequences: Using regression equations obtained in this study, we can predict the criterion variables in the

A canonical action research method is used to study social media adoption in microbusiness, and a post positivist approach is used to report the results based on a predetermined premise. It is found that the major constructs of performance and effort expectancy played an insignificant role, and social influence and facilitating conditions did not influence the behavioral and adoption intentions of social media by microbusiness owners. Owner characteristics and codification effort dominated the use behavior. The goal of microbusiness owners in gaining additional customers leads to behavioral modification resulting in replacing of behavioral intention with goals as a superior method of predicting adoption behavior within the context of microbusinesses.

Technology Acceptance Model for Mobile Health SystemsIOSR Journals
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to explore the factors that influence health-related consumer’s
acceptance to use the mobile technology as a tool for receiving healthcare services. Based on technology
acceptance model (TAM), this paper provides a better understanding of antecedent of key acceptance constructs
(e.g. intention to use, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use). The proposed research model and hypotheses
validated and tested with data collected from 302 Egyptians and Yemenis patients, health professionals, and
general health users. The results are analyzed using a number of statistical techniques including partial least
squares. The key findings obtaining from the results of the three surveyed stakeholders reveal that: (1) ninety
percent are indented to use mobile health services. (2) While intention to use has greatly influenced by
perceived usefulness, the impact of perceived ease of use varies. (3) Perceived value, perceived ease of use and
portability factors are significantly affect perceived usefulness. (4) Self-efficacy and technology anxiety have a
great impact on perceived ease of use. (5) The impact of the rest of the suggested factors ranged from medium,
low, and insignificant. The research made an in-depth exploration and examination of the factors that influence
user’s intention to use mobile health services focusing on technological, cultural, organizational, political, and
social aspects whereas most of the previous studies considered only one or two aspects together. The proposed
model can be applied to assess mobile health user’s acceptance, thereby help mobile health developers and
providers to develop better mobile health applications that meet the needs of the potential users.

This document summarizes a study that applied the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model to examine students' perceptions of campus e-voting in Malaysia. A survey was administered to 300 students. The results found that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, trust, and computer anxiety influenced behavioral intention to use campus e-voting. Specifically, students were most likely to vote online if the system was accessible and they believed it would enhance their performance. Overall, students had positive perceptions of campus e-voting.

FACTORS AFFECTING ACCEPTANCE OF WEB-BASED TRAINING SYSTEM: USING EXTENDED UTA...IJCSEIT Journal
Advancement in information system leads organizations to apply e-learning system to train their employees
in order to enhance its performance. In this respect, applying web based training will enable the
organization to train their employees quickly, efficiently and effectively anywhere at any time. This
research aims to extend Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use Technology (UTAUT) using some factors
such flexibility of web based training system, system interactivity and system enjoyment, in order to explain
the employees’ intention to use web based training system. A total of 290 employees have participated in
this study. The findings of the study revealed that performance expectancy, facilitating conditions, social
influence and system flexibility have direct effect on the employees’ intention to use web based training
system, while effort expectancy, system enjoyment and system interactivity have indirect effect on
employees’ intention to use the system.
INVESTIGATING TANZANIA GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES’ ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF SOCIAL MED...IJMIT JOURNAL
The aim of this paper was to present factors which influence work-related adoption of social media among
government employees. The study adapted the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology
(UTAUT) and integrated it with three constructs namely Hedonic Motivation (HM), Perceived Personal
Image (PI) and Attitude (AT). The sample of study consisted of 600 usable responses collected using survey
questionnaire from employees based in Tanzania Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) employing
convenience sampling technique. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling. The results
showed that, PI and HM influence attitude (AT), while PI, Social Influence (SI) and AT influence Behavior
Intention (BI). Moreover, SI, PI, AT and BI showed significant effect on actual Use Behavior. Furthermore,
the results showed that PI is affected positively by HM and SI. The added constructs proved to be important
modifications to the UTAUT model as suggested by the increase in explained variance by UTAUT from
70% to 73% on BI and from 53% to 73% on actual use behavior.

The Namibian government has benefited to date from information technology in many ways. The
current research attempts to investigate the impact of electronic taxation systems, how well it is used, understood and utilized in developing countries. The importance of understanding and influencing Namibian citizens’
acknowledgement of E-Government services is key, given the substantial investment in government communication, information system technology and the potential for cost saving. One of the most successful E-Government
initiatives, the electronic filing system (e-Filing), allows tax returns to be filed electronically. Despite many taxpayers
adopting this method, a large number are still using the traditional manual method of filing tax returns. A descriptive
research approach, namely the Quantitative method was used to evaluate the impact of electronic taxation systems.
This study utilized the decomposed theory of planned behavior with factors adjusted specifically for Namibia as a
developing country to identify the possible determinants of user acceptance of the e-Filing system among taxpayers. This exploratory study was conducted by means of a questionnaire survey. The questionnaires were completed
by 48 individual taxpayers in Windhoek, which made up the whole sample. The research instruments used were
questionnaires. The data and information collected was inspected for accuracy and completeness. Data collected
was presented in the form of tables, charts and graphs for better understanding. After the data was analyzed the
following findings and conclusions were drawn. Taxpayers using the manual method lack facilitating conditions
such as access to computer and internet resources, which was the most significant barrier to e-Filing usage, while
taxpayers using the electronic method reported perceived usefulness as the primary determinant in their decision to
use e-Filing. Understanding these acceptance factors can extend our knowledge of taxpayers’ decision-making and
lead to better arranging and usage of future EGovernment initiatives in Namibia and other developing countries.
Research on the field of using social media has gained more importance in the recent days due to the rapid development of social media technologies. Looking at the behavioral intention and attitude of using social media for collaborative learning within Malaysian higher educational institutions and the influencing factors in this regard has received little attention by researchers. The study aims at examining the determinants that affect learners’ attitude and behavior intention regarding their use social media to achieve collaborative learning. Such examination is carried out by using the Theory Acceptance Model (TAM) and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Usage of Technology (UTAUT). A total of 243 participants were recruited for this study. The findings indicated that students’ attitudes and behavior are strong indicators of their intentions in terms of using social media in collaborative learning.

To understand the extensive usage of the Information system, the study is undertaken where the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is used to see the extent to which an Information System (IS) is able to make any HR routine activity in the institution to be automated; whereby, the information obtained is effective and reliable. The study undertook in this article focuses on the reliability test in order to test the reliability of the scale and also the correlation test in order to find the rate of correlation between the various components of the TAM model – Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Attitude towards change (ATU) and Behavioral Intention towards use (BIU). The study indicated that the null hypothesis is accepted where there is significant positive change in the Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude of the User and the Behavioral intention of the user towards using the HRIS tool in any organization. This led to understanding from the study that there is a very high rate of effectiveness in the usage of HRIS tool in any institutions using, which is proved using the TAM model.

This document describes a study that examines factors influencing businesses' adoption of electronic business (e-business) in eight European countries. The study develops a conceptual model based on the technology-organization-environment framework. Survey data from 3,100 businesses and 7,500 consumers is used to test the model. The study finds that technology competence, firm size and scope, consumer readiness, and competitive pressure positively influence adoption, while lack of trading partner readiness negatively influences adoption. As e-business intensity increases, consumer and trading partner readiness become less important factors. In high e-business intensity countries, e-business is no longer dominated by large firms, and small firms benefit from network effects. Firms in high intensity countries also appear more cautious

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to explore the factors that influence health-related consumer’s
acceptance to use the mobile technology as a tool for receiving healthcare services. Based on technology
acceptance model (TAM), this paper provides a better understanding of antecedent of key acceptance constructs
(e.g. intention to use, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use). The proposed research model and hypotheses
validated and tested with data collected from 302 Egyptians and Yemenis patients, health professionals, and
general health users. The results are analyzed using a number of statistical techniques including partial least
squares. The key findings obtaining from the results of the three surveyed stakeholders reveal that: (1) ninety
percent are indented to use mobile health services. (2) While intention to use has greatly influenced by
perceived usefulness, the impact of perceived ease of use varies. (3) Perceived value, perceived ease of use and
portability factors are significantly affect perceived usefulness. (4) Self-efficacy and technology anxiety have a
great impact on perceived ease of use. (5) The impact of the rest of the suggested factors ranged from medium,
low, and insignificant. The research made an in-depth exploration and examination of the factors that influence
user’s intention to use mobile health services focusing on technological, cultural, organizational, political, and
social aspects whereas most of the previous studies considered only one or two aspects together. The proposed
model can be applied to assess mobile health user’s acceptance, thereby help mobile health developers and
providers to develop better mobile health applications that meet the needs of the potential users.

This document summarizes a study that applied the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model to examine students' perceptions of campus e-voting in Malaysia. A survey was administered to 300 students. The results found that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, trust, and computer anxiety influenced behavioral intention to use campus e-voting. Specifically, students were most likely to vote online if the system was accessible and they believed it would enhance their performance. Overall, students had positive perceptions of campus e-voting.

This paper establishes inadequacies of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) theory to explain social media adoption by microbusinesses. Literature review confirms the explaining power of UTAUT in variety of technology adoption by businesses. This paper uses UTAUT theory to implement social media technology in microbusinesses. Canonical action research method is adopted to introduce social media in microbusinesses. A post positivist approach is used to report the results based on a predetermined premise. It was found that the major constructs of performance and effort expectancy played insignificant role in establishing behavioural and adoption intention of social media by microbusinesses. Social influence and facilitating condition did not influence the behavioural intentions of the microbusiness owners. Individual characteristics and codification effort dominated the use behaviour. Goal of gaining customers leads to behavioural modification resulting in replacing of behavioural intention with goals as a superior method of predicting adoption behaviour within the context of microbusinesses. This paper extends the UTAUT to explain social media adoption in microbusinesses.

Advancement in information system leads organizations to apply e-learning system to train their employees
in order to enhance its performance. In this respect, applying web based training will enable the
organization to train their employees quickly, efficiently and effectively anywhere at any time. This
research aims to extend Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use Technology (UTAUT) using some factors
such flexibility of web based training system, system interactivity and system enjoyment, in order to explain
the employees’ intention to use web based training system. A total of 290 employees have participated in
this study. The findings of the study revealed that performance expectancy, facilitating conditions, social
influence and system flexibility have direct effect on the employees’ intention to use web based training
system, while effort expectancy, system enjoyment and system interactivity have indirect effect on
employees’ intention to use the system.

The aim of this paper was to present factors which influence work-related adoption of social media among
government employees. The study adapted the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology
(UTAUT) and integrated it with three constructs namely Hedonic Motivation (HM), Perceived Personal
Image (PI) and Attitude (AT). The sample of study consisted of 600 usable responses collected using survey
questionnaire from employees based in Tanzania Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) employing
convenience sampling technique. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling. The results
showed that, PI and HM influence attitude (AT), while PI, Social Influence (SI) and AT influence Behavior
Intention (BI). Moreover, SI, PI, AT and BI showed significant effect on actual Use Behavior. Furthermore,
the results showed that PI is affected positively by HM and SI. The added constructs proved to be important
modifications to the UTAUT model as suggested by the increase in explained variance by UTAUT from
70% to 73% on BI and from 53% to 73% on actual use behavior.

The Namibian government has benefited to date from information technology in many ways. The
current research attempts to investigate the impact of electronic taxation systems, how well it is used, understood and utilized in developing countries. The importance of understanding and influencing Namibian citizens’
acknowledgement of E-Government services is key, given the substantial investment in government communication, information system technology and the potential for cost saving. One of the most successful E-Government
initiatives, the electronic filing system (e-Filing), allows tax returns to be filed electronically. Despite many taxpayers
adopting this method, a large number are still using the traditional manual method of filing tax returns. A descriptive
research approach, namely the Quantitative method was used to evaluate the impact of electronic taxation systems.
This study utilized the decomposed theory of planned behavior with factors adjusted specifically for Namibia as a
developing country to identify the possible determinants of user acceptance of the e-Filing system among taxpayers. This exploratory study was conducted by means of a questionnaire survey. The questionnaires were completed
by 48 individual taxpayers in Windhoek, which made up the whole sample. The research instruments used were
questionnaires. The data and information collected was inspected for accuracy and completeness. Data collected
was presented in the form of tables, charts and graphs for better understanding. After the data was analyzed the
following findings and conclusions were drawn. Taxpayers using the manual method lack facilitating conditions
such as access to computer and internet resources, which was the most significant barrier to e-Filing usage, while
taxpayers using the electronic method reported perceived usefulness as the primary determinant in their decision to
use e-Filing. Understanding these acceptance factors can extend our knowledge of taxpayers’ decision-making and
lead to better arranging and usage of future EGovernment initiatives in Namibia and other developing countries.
Research on the field of using social media has gained more importance in the recent days due to the rapid development of social media technologies. Looking at the behavioral intention and attitude of using social media for collaborative learning within Malaysian higher educational institutions and the influencing factors in this regard has received little attention by researchers. The study aims at examining the determinants that affect learners’ attitude and behavior intention regarding their use social media to achieve collaborative learning. Such examination is carried out by using the Theory Acceptance Model (TAM) and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Usage of Technology (UTAUT). A total of 243 participants were recruited for this study. The findings indicated that students’ attitudes and behavior are strong indicators of their intentions in terms of using social media in collaborative learning.

Global usage of automated system in all fields has remarkably increased in the past decades. To understand the extensive usage of the Information system, the study is undertaken where the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is used to see the extent to which an Information System (IS) is able to make any HR routine activity in the institution to be automated; whereby, the information obtained is effective and reliable. The study undertook in this article focuses on the reliability test in order to test the reliability of the scale and also the correlation test in order to find the rate of correlation between the various components of the TAM model – Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Attitude towards change (ATU) and Behavioral Intention towards use (BIU). The study indicated that the null hypothesis is accepted where there is significant positive change in the Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude of the User and the Behavioral intention of the user towards using the HRIS tool in any organization. This led to understanding from the study that there is a very high rate of effectiveness in the usage of HRIS tool in any institutions using, which is proved using the TAM model.
Effective deployment of a technology in an environment is the desire of many system developers. Positive uptake of a technology coupled with user acceptance is deemed as a key indicator towards technology acceptance. Knowledge is weighed as a strategic resource for any successful data driven decision making initiative. Institutions leverage on technological initiatives and tools to drive knowledge management (KM) initiatives that enhance quality service delivery and prudent data management. These initiatives provide the overall strategy for managing data resources. They make available knowledge organization tools and techniques while enabling regular updates. Derived benefits of positive deployment of a technological intervention are competency enhancement through gained knowledge, raised quality of service and promotion of healthy development of e-commerce. Successful and timely adoption of technological interventions through which knowledge management initiatives are deployed remains a key challenge to many organizations. This paper proposes the application of a wholesome multilevel technology acceptance management model towards effective technology deployment. The proposed model takes into account human, technological and organizational variables, which exist in a deployment environment. This model will be vital in driving early technology acceptance prediction and timely deployment of mitigation measures to deploy technological interventions successfully.
This document describes a study that examines factors influencing businesses' adoption of electronic business (e-business) in eight European countries. The study develops a conceptual model based on the technology-organization-environment framework. Survey data from 3,100 businesses and 7,500 consumers is used to test the model. The study finds that technology competence, firm size and scope, consumer readiness, and competitive pressure positively influence adoption, while lack of trading partner readiness negatively influences adoption. As e-business intensity increases, consumer and trading partner readiness become less important factors. In high e-business intensity countries, e-business is no longer dominated by large firms, and small firms benefit from network effects. Firms in high intensity countries also appear more cautious

The fundamental components of our user acceptance model are perceived usefulness, attitude towards use, social norms, and performance expectancy.

Business intelligence is a collection of methodologies, methods, architectures, and technologies that convert raw data into significant and useful information used by organizations to enable more effective strategic, tactical, and operational insights and decision-making. In spite of several studies have examined the critical success factors and development of business intelligence system, but few relevant studies have investigated perceptions of end-user’s business intelligence systems. Furthermore, none of those studies was performed in a higher education sector in Iraq. Consequently, the study aims to determine the business intelligence system features influencing perceived impact end users’ and of using business intelligence systems in Iraqi educational institutes. A technology acceptance model and technology organization environment framework were syntheses as a basis to develop a research model for business intelligence users' perceived impact and adopt of business intelligence systems named (SMUPIBIS). Later, an online instrument (questionnaire) was designed to gather data from the business intelligence system users in five Iraqi universities. Twentyone hypotheses were proposed and later tested. The main outcomes of this study suggest that decision support, information quality, and real-time reporting are the most significant system characteristics influencing end users' perceived impact and their usage of business intelligence systems.

Information Systems (IS), such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, are being developed and used in
organizations to achieve their business goals and to enhance organizational effectiveness. The effect of user participation on
successful systems development and implementation of ERP systems continues to be an area of interest to researchers. Common
understanding has been that extensive user participation is not only important, but absolutely essential to system success. Even with
this understanding of user participation as one of the critical factor in successful IS development and implementation, empirical studies
have been unable to conclusively link user participation to systems success. This paper uses a private university as a case study to
examine the role played by user participation in the implementation of an ERP system. In order to achieve its objective, this study
adopted a mixed method where both qualitative and quantitative approaches were used in the collection of data. The results of the
study reveal that user participation has a positive impact on the likelihood of ERP system success, user participation by choice is the
best, user participation leads to better understanding of system requirements, the more participation the more the satisfied the users are,
and participation builds support for the system during implementation. From our results we conclude that user participation in ERP
system implementation is critical for successful implementation.
Present study aims to investigate the influence of ICTs dimensions (Information Technology (IT),
Management Information System (MIS), Office automation (OA), Intranet and Internet) on workforce
productivity for a group of industrial organizations in Alexandria - Egypt. The population of the study was
managers and staff members working in different areas related to ICTs in the selected industrial
organizations at various managerial levels. Descriptive-statistical combined research study was conducted.
The selection of the participating industrial organization done using simple random sampling technique.
Data collection done using questionnaires. In order to check the validity of the study instrument expert
comments were used and the reliability of the questions calculated as 79% using Cronbach’s Alpha
coefficient. The analysis of instrument data done using single variable t-test, Friedman and variance
analysis. The study findings revealed that the specified dimensions of ICTs positively affect workforce
productivity of industrial organizations in Alexandria - Egypt.

This research study assesses the organizational and individual determinants that influence the use of e-procurement system in Uttarakhand public sector. This study provides managers with the valuable information to take intervention programs to achieve greater acceptance and usage of e-procurement system. Data collected for this study by the means of a survey conducted in Uttarakhand state in 2011. A total 1200 questionnaire forms were distributed personally and online to employees using e-procurement system in Uttarakhand.

Abstract: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have been adopted and implemented in the Kenyan higher education sector, with their success being described in many ways that one. Empirical studies have identified Quality, use, and benefits dimensions as suitable descriptors of success of ERP systems. This study used the results of a cross-sectional survey conducted in selected public and private universities in Kenya, coupled with theories and literature from existing Information System (IS) success models, to examine the effect of these dimensions on success of ERP systems. An understanding of ERP systems success dimensions will help to appreciate how each dimension fit in the higher education sector and provide a basis from which mitigation mechanisms can be employed to ensure success. There is need for universities to match their expectations on ERP systems with efficiency, assurance, accuracy, coupled with good support service by experienced professionals that will ensure the desired level quality is guaranteed. Engaging end-users during implementation and providing adequate training to employees have a direct impact on productive use of the ERP system. In addition, universities also need to define the strategic goals clearly before embarking on implementation, such that the process can always be steered towards the realization of benefits associated with the ERP system.

Due to the rapid development of ICT and its huge use in all spheres of our lives, businesses are also influenced by it. Now, businesses are managing their resources by using ICT support that is helping them to perform their tasks faster and accurate than before. But the developing countries like Bangladesh are still struggling to introduce ICT supports in all areas of businesses. But due to a very strong culture at work place, this effort is hindered substantially. Therefore, this paper aims at identifying the present status of the use of ICT in business management and its challenges it faces. Secondary data have been primarily used for conducting this study which was collected from the different business reports and the journal papers. An experience survey was also conducted among the senior administrators of the business houses were also included in the study. Results show that the use of ICT is very low in the small and medium business enterprises while the large businesses houses are using ICT supports. Results also show that the use of ICT primarily depends on the complexity and the nature of the business. The entrepreneurs who have ICT literacy, they are mostly using ICT supports in the management of their businesses. This study suggests that the business houses in Bangladesh should use ICT support in order to increase the efficiency at their work. But this is often depends on the ICT infrastructure of the country as a whole.

This document presents a study that uses linear regression to predict university freshmen's academic performance (GPA) based on their scores on the Joint Matriculation Examination (JME). The study finds a weak positive correlation (R=0.137) between GPA and JME scores, with the regression model only explaining 1.9% of variability in GPA. advent of technology has also increased the traffic hazards and the road accidents take place
frequently which causes huge loss of life and property because of the poor emergency facilities.
Many lives could have been saved if emergency service could get accident information and
reach in time. Our project will provide an optimum solution to this draw back. A piezo electric
sensor can be used as a crash or rollover detector of the vehicle during and after a crash. With
signals from a piezo electric sensor, a severe accident can be recognized. According to this
project when a vehicle meets with an accident immediately piezo electric sensor will detect the
signal or if a car rolls over. Then with the help of GSM module and GPS module, the location
will be sent to the emergency contact. Then after conforming the location necessary action will
be taken. If the person meets with a small accident or if there is no serious threat to anyone’s
life, then the alert message can be terminated by the driver by a switch provided in order to
avoid wasting the valuable time of the medical rescue team.
