To Assess the Main Drawbacks of Advanced Technology for the Accounting SphereFinancialMarketCorpo
Every accountant knows that accounting is a business language and that language has undergone many
changes over the years. Dissemination in the use of information technology and the production of applications has
contributed to intense shifts in accounting firms’ Procedures as of the 1990s. From the view of accounting experts,
the influence of these advances has not been adequately analysed. The general purpose of this study was therefore to determine the effect of technological progress on the accounting sphere in Namibia. A descriptive survey
design was used to in this study, to establish whether there exists any relationship between advanced technology
and Accounting today. The results indicate that the accelerated speed of technological progress tends to challenge
conventional processes in all fields, including the accounting profession. The study also revealed that businesses
have not only embraced the revolution of advanced technology, but have also started to adopt emerging innovations in the form of accounting software, mobility and the creation of social media platforms. With a figure of
less than 50% IT-enabled use, it is obvious that accounting students and accountants do not know how to run
accounting information systems, while companies continually rely on technological advancements to conduct their

An Investigation into the Impact of the Electronic Taxation System: A Case St...FinancialMarketCorpo
The Namibian government has benefited to date from information technology in many ways. The
current research attempts to investigate the impact of electronic taxation systems, how well it is used, understood and utilized in developing countries. The importance of understanding and influencing Namibian citizens’
acknowledgement of E-Government services is key, given the substantial investment in government communication, information system technology and the potential for cost saving. One of the most successful E-Government
initiatives, the electronic filing system (e-Filing), allows tax returns to be filed electronically. Despite many taxpayers
adopting this method, a large number are still using the traditional manual method of filing tax returns. A descriptive
research approach, namely the Quantitative method was used to evaluate the impact of electronic taxation systems.
This study utilized the decomposed theory of planned behavior with factors adjusted specifically for Namibia as a
developing country to identify the possible determinants of user acceptance of the e-Filing system among taxpayers. This exploratory study was conducted by means of a questionnaire survey. The questionnaires were completed
by 48 individual taxpayers in Windhoek, which made up the whole sample. The research instruments used were
questionnaires. The data and information collected was inspected for accuracy and completeness. Data collected
was presented in the form of tables, charts and graphs for better understanding. After the data was analyzed the
following findings and conclusions were drawn. Taxpayers using the manual method lack facilitating conditions
such as access to computer and internet resources, which was the most significant barrier to e-Filing usage, while
taxpayers using the electronic method reported perceived usefulness as the primary determinant in their decision to
use e-Filing. Understanding these acceptance factors can extend our knowledge of taxpayers’ decision-making and
lead to better arranging and usage of future EGovernment initiatives in Namibia and other developing countries.

In order to test the hypotheses, the following three criteria were adequately used: The Medians, the Standard Deviations, as well as the Regression Analysis. The study has reached a number of results; the most notable amongst these results is that there is a positive effect that is statistically significant of information technology on the elements of business transformation in Jordanian communication companies and all of their relating elements.
The last decade of the twentieth century and the turn of twenty-first century witnessed significant progress in technology in general and information technology and communication in particular. Such progress still continues until today, accelerating with wide quick strides more than ever. This age has produced many mechanisms for manufacturing knowledge and more advanced technological means that have made the globe as a small village. Communication technology, which is represented by the internet, has played a huge rule in transferring information and technological revolution from the north to the south passing by the east and the west at the same time. All of that have had an impact on all political, economic, educational, teaching, social, media, and advertisement systems in all communities.
The term technology is derived from Greek. It consists of two parts, techno, which means skills or art, and logy, which means science or study. Thus, the word technology means the science of performance, science of implementation, or the technical methods to achieve a practical purpose, the science of industrial operation.

Extending utaut to explain social media adoption by microbusinessesIJMIT JOURNAL
This paper extends the use of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) to explain social media adoption by microbusinesses. A canonical action research method is used to study social media adoption in microbusiness, and a post positivist approach is used to report the results based on a predetermined premise. It is found that the major constructs of performance and effort expectancy played an insignificant role, and social influence and facilitating conditions did not influence the behavioral and adoption intentions of social media by microbusiness owners. Owner characteristics and codification effort dominated the use behavior. The goal of microbusiness owners in gaining additional customers leads to behavioral modification resulting in replacing of behavioral intention with goals as a superior method of predicting adoption behavior within the context of microbusinesses.

Evaluation of Factors Affecting the Adoption of Smart Buildings Using the Tec...Eswar Publications
Objective: This study aimed to find a solution to the acceptance of smart buildings in Iran using the technology
acceptance model (TAM). The main research question is the significance of this model relationships, as well as the
anticipated adoption of smart buildings in Iran using variables included in the model.
Methods: This descriptive study, is based on survey data collection methods and the way of analyzing data is correlational and casual study. Measurement tool was designed based on the standardized questionnaire presented by Davis. The reliability coefficient was 0.88. Statistical population is unlimited and included citizens of Iran in 1395. The sample consisted of 388 individuals. Given the infinity of society and Cochran formula, 384 individual is sufficient for
this research. This study is a random sampling one that was done in the period of 30 days.
Findings and conclusions: The results revealed that all relationships in the model are significant. And among the
variables of the model, perceived usefulness, the attitude toward using, and features of smart buildings had the most
intense relationship in acceptance this technology. Using regression equations, each of the dependent variables in the
model, is predictable by the independent variables.
Innovation of research: The intensity of relationship between variables in technology acceptance model and impact of each variable in explaining the criterion factor was analyzed.
Research limitations: Many people tend not to complete the questionnaire and some ones answer questions unrealistic. Despite all the explanations to justify the respondents, still there are possible directions in responses.
Practical consequences: Using regression equations obtained in this study, we can predict the criterion variables in the
model of technology adoption.

An EHealth Adoption Framework for Developing Countries: A Systematic Reviewhiij
There is growing interest in the rate of eHealth uptake resulting from the increased potential to advance the quality of healthcare services in both the developed and developing countries. Although the implementation of information and communication technology to support healthcare delivery would greatly address the quality and accessibility challenges in healthcare as well as reduction in the cost of healthcare delivery, the adoption of eHealth has not been fully realized. This study aimed at conducting a systematic literature review to establish the factors associated with the adoption of eHealth and propose a context-specific framework for successful adoption of eHealth technologies in developing countries such as Uganda. The systematic literature review process was guided by the Systematic Review Protocol. The review of 29 journals from the period 2009-2021 showed that, although the most widely used frameworks in the developing countries were Technology Adoption Model (TAM), Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework and Technology Organization Environment (TOE) framework, there were other salient factors reported by other researchers that contributed to the adoption of eHealth in developing countries. A novel framework for adoption of eHealth in the local context with eight (8) dimensions namely; Sociodemographic, Technology, Information, Socio-cultural, Organization, Governance, Ethical and legal and Financial dimensions is derived and presented as result of the research.

Technology Acceptance Model for Mobile Health SystemsIOSR Journals
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to explore the factors that influence health-related consumer’s
acceptance to use the mobile technology as a tool for receiving healthcare services. Based on technology
acceptance model (TAM), this paper provides a better understanding of antecedent of key acceptance constructs
(e.g. intention to use, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use). The proposed research model and hypotheses
validated and tested with data collected from 302 Egyptians and Yemenis patients, health professionals, and
general health users. The results are analyzed using a number of statistical techniques including partial least
squares. The key findings obtaining from the results of the three surveyed stakeholders reveal that: (1) ninety
percent are indented to use mobile health services. (2) While intention to use has greatly influenced by
perceived usefulness, the impact of perceived ease of use varies. (3) Perceived value, perceived ease of use and
portability factors are significantly affect perceived usefulness. (4) Self-efficacy and technology anxiety have a
great impact on perceived ease of use. (5) The impact of the rest of the suggested factors ranged from medium,
low, and insignificant. The research made an in-depth exploration and examination of the factors that influence
user’s intention to use mobile health services focusing on technological, cultural, organizational, political, and
social aspects whereas most of the previous studies considered only one or two aspects together. The proposed
model can be applied to assess mobile health user’s acceptance, thereby help mobile health developers and
providers to develop better mobile health applications that meet the needs of the potential users.

THE CRITICAL ORGANIZATIONAL FACTORS OF E-GOVERNMENT IN KENYA Editor IJCATR
eGovernment focusses on the use of technology to achieve levels of improvement in various areas of government, transforming the nature of politics and relations between the government and citizens. However, in Kenya, just like in other developing nations, many eGovernment projects have either stalled or failed to meet their objectives due to some key organizational factors. This study therefore highlights critical organizational factors affecting eGovernment projects and the nature of their relationships with eGovernment performance. The study employed cross-sectional survey design. Targeting the entire 18 eGovernment projects implemented through the Information Communications Authority of Kenya since 2005. Both primary and secondary data was collected and analyzed based on response from 217 respondents out of the 300 who participated (72% response rate). At the end, it emerged that out of the various organizational factors hypothesized to predict eGovernment projects Performance, only organizational structure, prioritization of deliverables, and organizational culture are critical in Kenyan context. Others identified in previous studies such as future needs of the organization, power distribution, structure, information system strategy alignment, prioritization of deliverables, and training were also important but not critical.

The Transformation in Philippine BPO Companies: The Impact of Digital Workpla...AI Publications
The workforce in various industries, particularly the BPO industry, experiences significant impacts from digital workplace transformation. It is affected by employee skill levels, knowledge, efficiency, and rationalization. This research aims to investigate the impact of digital workplace transformation on work culture, represented by the following variables: employee retention, motivation, and productivity. Participants in this study work as front-office customer service representatives (CSR) for business processing outsourcing (BPO) companies in the Philippines, specifically the top BPO companies on the list issued by the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP). Using a mixed method approach, the researchers incorporated qualitative and quantitative data for this study, allowing them to compile all the necessary information. Using Somer's delta, the researchers identified the association between the dependent and independent variables. After analyzing the data, researchers found that the development of the digital workplace positively impacts work culture. At the same time, the shift to a digital workplace benefits worker productivity, motivation, and retention. On the contrary, with the interview results of the study conducted with the respective team leaders of these employees, the researchers discovered that despite the magnificent benefits of digital workplace transformation, it can still cause stress and work overload. In conclusion, our research findings contradicted our initial hypothesis that the digital workplace would not significantly impact work culture in BPO companies. Instead, we discovered that digital workplace transformation impacts employee retention, motivation, and productivity. The transformation to a digital workplace progressively enhances the quality of work performed by customer service representatives in BPO companies, leading to a better work experience. Researchers recommend that BPO companies focus on skills development, effective communication, work environment enhancements, and supervisor support to ensure a successful transformation.

education policies, trend of employment demand, and employability qualities of vocational college
graduates on the development of employment demand in Taiwan’s technology industry. According to the
research results, dynamic situational simulation of system dynamics can be used to simulate the effect of
changes in education policy system with time on the development and trend of employment demand in
technology industry. The simulation results of policy scenario showed that the talent shortage in technology
industry should be overcome by improving education policy. The problem of talent shortage cannot be
effectively alleviated until the matching rate between education policy and employment demand reaches
90%. The simulation results of this study can be provided as reference for education policy planners to
improve the employability of vocational college students. It is intended to provide valuable suggestions to
reduce the unemployment rate of vocational college graduates and to substantially reduce the gap between
industries and academia, in order to further enhance Taiwan’s competitiveness in the global economic
system.

Debora Jeske and Alecia M. Santuzzi have written the article named “Monitoring what and how: psychological implications of electronic performance monitoring.” This article aims to assess the application of electronic performance checking and analyse whether this monitoring system can improve the employee’s performance and efficiency or not. An employee has an adverse reaction to staff performance monitoring. Data from one hundred ninety student workers are used to complete a survey, which helped to conclude the decision. According to the survey result, close monitoring of employee performance creates an adverse impact on the employee. These initiatives of the authority curtail the employee engagement and job satisfaction and efficiency of the staff. This survey suggests that though there is a benefit of close monitoring of employees, yet the benefits are overshadowed by the adverse reaction of the employee (Jeske & Santuzzi, 2015).

This article, which discusses the effect of staff performance management, is written by Adelien Decramer, Carine Smolders and Alex Vanderstraeten. This article evaluates satisfaction related to staff performance management in higher education institutions. Five hundred eighty-nine staff of a Flemish University participated in a survey, which was conducted to complete the analysis. This analysis suggests that an internal staff performance management procedure on a regular basis through communication and enhanced control can increase employee satisfaction. The staff performance management procedure can increase the employee’s job satisfaction, which rests on the tenure type. In the higher education centre, the authority has to take a diverse staff performance management procedure to maximise the job satisfaction of the employee (Decramer, Smolders & Vanderstraeten, 2013).

what is the future of Pi Network currency.DOT TECH
The future of the Pi cryptocurrency is uncertain, and its success will depend on several factors. Pi is a relatively new cryptocurrency that aims to be user-friendly and accessible to a wide audience. Here are a few key considerations for its future:
Message: @Pi_vendor_247 on telegram if u want to sell PI COINS.
1. Mainnet Launch: As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Pi was still in the testnet phase. Its success will depend on a successful transition to a mainnet, where actual transactions can take place.
2. User Adoption: Pi's success will be closely tied to user adoption. The more users who join the network and actively participate, the stronger the ecosystem can become.
3. Utility and Use Cases: For a cryptocurrency to thrive, it must offer utility and practical use cases. The Pi team has talked about various applications, including peer-to-peer transactions, smart contracts, and more. The development and implementation of these features will be essential.
4. Regulatory Environment: The regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies is evolving globally. How Pi navigates and complies with regulations in various jurisdictions will significantly impact its future.
5. Technology Development: The Pi network must continue to develop and improve its technology, security, and scalability to compete with established cryptocurrencies.
6. Community Engagement: The Pi community plays a critical role in its future. Engaged users can help build trust and grow the network.
7. Monetization and Sustainability: The Pi team's monetization strategy, such as fees, partnerships, or other revenue sources, will affect its long-term sustainability.
It's essential to approach Pi or any new cryptocurrency with caution and conduct due diligence. Cryptocurrency investments involve risks, and potential rewards can be uncertain. The success and future of Pi will depend on the collective efforts of its team, community, and the broader cryptocurrency market dynamics. It's advisable to stay updated on Pi's development and follow any updates from the official Pi Network website or announcements from the team.

US Economic Outlook - Being Decided - M Capital Group August 2021.pdfpchutichetpong
The U.S. economy is continuing its impressive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and not slowing down despite re-occurring bumps. The U.S. savings rate reached its highest ever recorded level at 34% in April 2020 and Americans seem ready to spend. The sectors that had been hurt the most by the pandemic specifically reduced consumer spending, like retail, leisure, hospitality, and travel, are now experiencing massive growth in revenue and job openings.
Could this growth lead to a “Roaring Twenties”? As quickly as the U.S. economy contracted, experiencing a 9.1% drop in economic output relative to the business cycle in Q2 2020, the largest in recorded history, it has rebounded beyond expectations. This surprising growth seems to be fueled by the U.S. government’s aggressive fiscal and monetary policies, and an increase in consumer spending as mobility restrictions are lifted. Unemployment rates between June 2020 and June 2021 decreased by 5.2%, while the demand for labor is increasing, coupled with increasing wages to incentivize Americans to rejoin the labor force. Schools and businesses are expected to fully reopen soon. In parallel, vaccination rates across the country and the world continue to rise, with full vaccination rates of 50% and 14.8% respectively.
However, it is not completely smooth sailing from here. According to M Capital Group, the main risks that threaten the continued growth of the U.S. economy are inflation, unsettled trade relations, and another wave of Covid-19 mutations that could shut down the world again. Have we learned from the past year of COVID-19 and adapted our economy accordingly?
“In order for the U.S. economy to continue growing, whether there is another wave or not, the U.S. needs to focus on diversifying supply chains, supporting business investment, and maintaining consumer spending,” says Grace Feeley, a research analyst at M Capital Group.
While the economic indicators are positive, the risks are coming closer to manifesting and threatening such growth. The new variants spreading throughout the world, Delta, Lambda, and Gamma, are vaccine-resistant and muddy the predictions made about the economy and health of the country. These variants bring back the feeling of uncertainty that has wreaked havoc not only on the stock market but the mindset of people around the world. MCG provides unique insight on how to mitigate these risks to possibly ensure a bright economic future.
The European Unemployment Puzzle: implications from population agingGRAPE
We study the link between the evolving age structure of the working population and unemployment. We build a large new Keynesian OLG model with a realistic age structure, labor market frictions, sticky prices, and aggregate shocks. Once calibrated to the European economy, we quantify the extent to which demographic changes over the last three decades have contributed to the decline of the unemployment rate. Our findings yield important implications for the future evolution of unemployment given the anticipated further aging of the working population in Europe. We also quantify the implications for optimal monetary policy: lowering inflation volatility becomes less costly in terms of GDP and unemployment volatility, which hints that optimal monetary policy may be more hawkish in an aging society. Finally, our results also propose a partial reversal of the European-US unemployment puzzle due to the fact that the share of young workers is expected to remain robust in the US.

2. Effect of Technology on Staff Retention: Case Study of Picknpay Namibia 29
Objectives were:
(a) To examine the effect of technology on staff retention
in Windhoek Namibia
(b) To evaluate strategies that can be put into practice to
promote staff retention in Windhoek Namibia?
(c) To analyze the encouragement programs an orga-
nization put into operation to reduce the effect of
technology on staff retention in Windhoek Namibia
4 Methodology
The researcher used an exploratory single case study
design for this study because it allowed researcher to
understand the specific phenomenon of how business lead-
ers increase IT employee retention within the company.
The case study design focused on decisions that contribute
to real-life phenomena where the boundary and its context
were not evident (Yin, 2012). This design allowed me to
investigate, gather, analyze, and interpret data of the lived
experiences of participants under study (Saunders, 2009).
Other strategies of inquiries associated with the qualitative
research methodology, such as ethnographic, grounded
theory, and phenomenology Marshall (2016) received con-
sideration but were not appropriate for the study.
5 Literature Review
The purpose of this literature review is to provide a critical
analysis and synopsis of current and previous research that
explores the effect of technology on staff retention in Pick
N Pay and how managers use to retain employees.
Employees conduct business on behalf of an organiza-
tion by having direct contact with customers and suppliers.
Organizational leaders need to take a keen interest in
retaining their human capital. A fluctuating human capital
affects the productivity, performance, and, efficiency lev-
els of an organization (Tobias, 2016). This had led to most
organization to keep analyze the encouragement programs
an organization put into operation to reduce the effect of
technology on staff retention. ICTs have been receiving
enormous scientific and political attention among Interna-
tional Organizations namely the World Bank, the United
Nations (UN), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) (OECD, 2015). The
2017 World Trade Report states that the use of comput-
ers, information technology (IT) and the internet has effects
that go far beyond labor productivity (World Trade Organ-
isation, 2017). However the effects of ICT in staff retention
in Namibia is not yet fully understood and to date there is
insufficient published research that looks at the importance
of ICT (Weber, 2017). Therefore, the purpose of this quali-
tative multiple case studies to explore strategies that affect

the technology of staff retention in pick n pay (Connell,
2014).
6 Discussion of Results
This section presents the findings from the respondents
and from the data that was evaluated and analyzed
through questionnaires. The findings are effects of tech-
nology in Pick n Pay, which is the basis of this study to
investigate and describe the experiences and challenges
faced by employees in Pick n Pay. The collected data were
evaluated, analyzed and summarized to come up with the
conclusion and the recommendations. The data in these
findings were collected in questionnaire.
The researcher distributed 20 self-administered ques-
tionnaires, however, only 10 were completed and returned
as illustrated in Table 1. This resulted in a return rate of 50%
that could be considered as acceptable and the response
rate was sufficient to accept the samples as a true reflection
of the population.
7 Work Life Balance
According to (Viswanathan, 2013), work life balance refers
to being able to maintain satisfying work and family envi-
ronments without compromising on the deliverables of
either role. (Viswanathan, 2013) noted that leaders have
discovered that if they manage work-life employee con-
flicts appropriately, they retain more of their talented work-
ers. Ratna (2012) noted that employees intentionally stay
with companies that provide a work-life balance. Studies
show employees want a flexible schedule. In response to
the overarching research question: Do you think the Tech-
nology training provided by the organization is helpful?
And How do you rate the usefulness of your Technology
trainings in the daily working procedures at your organi-
zation? These questions emerged from the questionnaire
question 3 and 4 has an alternate work schedule, or flexi-
ble schedule, which is consistent with the responses from
3. 30 Elingua Kuume and Nikodemus Angula
the participants. The chart below shows how Technology
played any important role in helping to insure a work life
balance on the staff retention. This group seemed to want
more opportunities for variety and the ability to fit work
around their life schedule to the maximum extent possi-
ble. Kataria et al. (2012) recognized that job flexibility, along
with other (intrinsic) hygiene factors is a critical incentive
for all employees.

EFFECTS OF TECHNOLOGY ON WORK LIFE
BALANCE
8 Telework
The telework policies, procedures, and instructions are
readily available for employees and can be located on the
organization’s Intranet as well as in the human resources
office. Pick N Pay has implemented a telework program
for all of their employees. It is important that the tele-
work program fit the organization as well as the individ-
ual employee and the particular job at hand. Telework
emerged from the questions 6, 7, and 8. Pick n Pay has
implemented the telework program, based on the federal
policies, to allow employees to work from an approved
worksite. Most employees in the IT division are taking
advantage of telework.
According to Herzberg (1959), hygiene factors such as
characteristics associated with company policy can con-
tribute to employee dissatisfaction in the workplace. In this
case study, the presence of telework policy within Pick n
Pay positively influences employee retention.
9 Incentives
The government offers incentives to retain employees.
(Ratna, 2012) noted that employees intentionally stay with
companies that provide competitive pay and bonuses, job
security, training, as well as retirement arrangements on
which they can depend. Pokorny (2013) agrees that organi-
zations are better able to retain employees who are satisfied
with their work, and whom they reward and recognize
well. The literature review and conceptual framework sup-
port the theme of incentives. Incentives emerged from
questions 2, 3, 4 and 5. The participants agreed that strat-
egy used to retain IT personnel is rewards, both monetary
and nonmonetary, and recognition. The study shows that
professionals are not always motivated by money alone.
Stated training opportunities and career advancement are
incentives and cross training is used to provide employ-
ees the greater overall knowledge of the IT division.
This approach breaks up the day to day monotony and
provides thought provoking challenges. It also makes a
better-rounded employee competitive for future promo-
tions. Aguinis, Gottfredson, and Joo (2013) stated that
among all types of reward, monetary pay is one of the
most important and significant intrinsic factors affecting
employee retention. In the list of Herzberg intrinsic fac-
tors, advancement and recognition could influence satis-
faction. Herzberg found that when leaders recognize an
employee’s accomplishments, the employee might be more
effective. Verbal praise has the ability to enhance company
loyalty (Aisha et al., 2013; Sinha and Sinha, 2012). In the
list of extrinsic factors, company policies and job security
could influence employee job dissatisfaction.
10 Quality of Life
Valenti (2014) stated that employees want more from their
jobs than just pay and rewards. Since there is only a
finite amount of money to go around, most people will
gravitate to employment that pays more to increase their
quality of life. Ratna (2012) noted that employees inten-
tionally stay with companies that provide a competitive
pay and bonuses on which they can depend. The body
of the literature supported this theme. Pick n Pay pol-
icy document entitled Pick N Pay Strategic Business Plan
corroborated that the organization considers “quality of
life” to be their number one goal for taking care of their
employees. The participants’ responses are in line with the
goal of the command to have a better quality of work-life to
retain their employees. In the list of Herzberg intrinsic fac-
tors, advancement was identified as a possible influence of
job satisfaction. In the list of intrinsic factors, salary was
also identified as a possible influence of job dissatisfac-
tion. These factors could have an impact on IT employee
retention.
11 Leadership
Mahal (2012) found leadership style could have a pos-
itive effect on organizational commitment. Mardanov,
Heischmidt, and Henson (2014) stressed that a leader’s
positive attitude improves the employee attitudes toward
work, their leader, and the organization. The body of
the literature primarily supported this theme. Leadership
emerged from question from section D. Pick N Pay men-
toring program corroborates the aforementioned evidence
that leadership is concerned with growth and development
4. Effect of Technology on Staff Retention: Case Study of Picknpay Namibia 31
of their employees by providing both internal and external
leadership opportunities. The employees really feel that
this makes a difference. concurred, demonstrating the idea
by assigning mentors to develop the junior employees for
more senior positions. This study show that one strategy
that was used was working to an individual’s strengths
while at the same time mentoring them on their weak-
nesses. Participants noted that the IT industry is chang-
ing so quickly that it is hard to retain good employees.
Herzberg et al. considered factors such as growth, super-
vision, and employee supervisor relationship important.
According to Herzberg’s theory, the presence of extrinsic
factors, such as growth, could enhance employee satisfac-
tion. The presence of intrinsic factors, such as supervision
and relationship with supervisor and peers, could reduce
employee dissatisfaction. These factors could influence
organizational commitment which could have an impact
on IT employee retention.
12 Conclusion
The results of this study were significant to professional
business practices in several ways. The findings of this
study revealed business leaders’ view within one organi-
zation about creating innovative retention strategies and
enacting positive organizational changes to reduce IT
employee turnover. Business leaders could use the find-
ings to establish ongoing and continuing training to update
their employee skills and expertise. Business leaders may
also use this study as a basis for increasing the retention
rate in other areas. Publishing the results of this study
could provide business leaders information on employee
motivation and productivity.
