The Murder Of Nicole Brown Simpson
People all over the world know O.J. Simpson, because he was arrested and trialed for the murder of
Nicole Brown Simpson his former wife, and Ronald Goldman the friend of his former wife. The
murder trial took place in 1994, and the verdict of the court was that, he was not guilty. There were
marital problems between O.J. Simpson and his former wife, and at some point, his wife complained
to family members and friends about their marriage. She complained of being physically abused and
frequently beaten by O.J. Simpson, though he persistently denied ever abusing her.
Due to their marital problems, she decided to file for divorce in 1992. On 12th June, 1994, disaster
struck as the bodies of Ronald Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson were found after being stabbed to
death in Los Angeles, outside her condominium. The police conducted their investigations, and the
evidence found led them to suspect O.J. Simpson as the murderer. He fled from the police, but later
surrendered voluntarily at his house, found in L.A. s Rockingham Avenue. He was taken to court and
pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder against him. His murder trial was regarded as the trial of
the century, because the jury found him not guilty of either of the murder charges.
The murder trial ended on 3rd October, 1995 (Simpson, 2014). This paper will review the homicide
investigation involving O.J. Simpson. The main elements of the process of investigation comprise of

Among the defense models that can be used to address both the threat of attack from above is to use
the concept of defense in depth . Rocky Summit can build up layers of defense against cybersecurity,

The Book Of Martha Analysis
The Purpose in Life
The real question is not whether life exists after death. The real question is whether you are alive
before death (Rajneesh, n.d.). This short story narrates about a woman named Martha Bes that
apparently died. The main character is debating whether or not she is alive or dead. Also she goes
about asking what God wanted her to do. The book of Martha written by Octavia Butler uses literary
elements to present the overall message what is God s purpose in life.
One such literary element used to present the story s theme is the setting. First she was sitting at her
computer, wrapping up one more day s work on her fifth novel (Octavia, 2003). Then she felt stiff and
stopped working at five in the morning. Suddenly, she asks her self where she was. and in a surprising
way she started telling herself that she could not be in heaven. Martha s descriptions of an endless
grayness creates a mood of gloominess. In addition, describing that there was nothing there but herself
and God, made the reader felt depressive. Discovering where the story took place helps the reader
understand more in depth the story.
Another literary element that presents the story s theme is the plot. According to Routledge (2013) the
Hades is an ancient Greek that means a place where the wicked dead reside and are punished. The

Disadvantages Of Charismatic Leadership
Charismatic leaders have been the boon and the bane of humanity for as long as recorded human
history illustrates. Most people agree that charisma can be a double edged sword capable of producing
both positive and negative outcomes. (Lussier, Achua, 20216) This is where we as humans wonder
about our existence. We lead and we are led. Some successes are recorded while many failures fall by
the wayside. Still, there are some successes we would rather not have experienced. There is a game
which children have played over the years. The game is aptly named, Would You Rather . In this
game, one asks the group, Would you rather meet your demise by ...? The choices are generally

The assigned value to each leader is directly linked to the values instilled in or owned by the beholder.
Magnificence is esteemed in saving other humans from a demise such as death. We may presume that
Oskar Schindler is a hero. This was established by Schindler risking his life, liberty, and property to
save as many Jewish people as he could from the horrors of genocide during World War II. Although,
when we further look into his life, he was a human with his human frailties some might consider sins.
We learn that Schindler did not actually create a list as was made popular in the movie directed by
Steven Spielberg. Instead, Marcel Goldberg, a Jewish clerk assigned to the new Plaszow commandant
Arnold Buscher, played the largest role in compiling the transport list. It is generally agreed that
Buscher, an SS officer, could not have cared, within certain numerical limits, who went on the list,
according to Thomas Keneally. It s also agreed that Goldberg engaged in a certain amount of
corruption in who he added to the list and, moreover, that there was not even one list but rather
different lists that emerged over a series of months. (Anderson, 2014) Contrary to popular beliefs,
Schindler was an ordinary business man who, being at the right time and right place in history,
evolved from having monetary interests, into the interest of saving Jewish people from the horrors of
the concentration camps. As we consider the greatness of saving human

A Study Of Bitopological Spaces
Abstract. In 1995, A.A. Nasef and T. Noiri [6] introduced the notion of strongly
 irresolute functions. In the present paper, we generalize this notion to the setting of bitopological
spaces and obtain some characterizations and properties of pairwise strongly semi preirresolute
functions.
AMS Mathematics Subject Classifications (2010): 54E55, 54A05, 54C10, 54D05.
Key words and phrases: semi preopen, (i, j) semi preopen, semi preirresolute, pairwise strongly semi
preirresolute.
1. Introduction and preliminaries
The study of bitopological spaces was initiated by Kelly [4] in 1963. Abd ElMonsef et al. [1]
introduced the notion of
 open sets and
 continuity in topological spaces. On the other hand, Andrijevic [2] called
 open sets semipreopen and obtained many properties of such subsets. Recently, Khedr et al. [5]
have investigated the notions of semi preopen sets and semi precontinuity in bitopological spaces. In
1995, Nasef and Noiri [6] defined and studied the concept of strongly
 irresolute functions. The purpose of the present paper is to extend the concept of strongly 
irresoluteness to the setting of bitopological spaces.
Throughout the present paper, (X, 1, 2) and (Y, 1, 2) always mean bitopological spaces. For a
subset A of a space X, i c1(A) (resp. i int(A)) denotes the closure (resp. interior) of A with respect
to i
, for i = 1,2. However, i c1(A) and
i int(A) are briefly denoted by c1i(A) and inti(A), respectively, if there is no possibility of

Essay on Hotspur as Tragic Hero of Henry IV
Hotspur as Tragic Hero of Henry IV
In Shakespeare s Henry IV Part One, the characters many different conceptions of honor govern how
they respond to situations. Each character s conception of honor has a great impact on the character s
standing after the play. For instance, Falstaff survived because he dishonorably faked his own death,
and his untrue claim that he was the one who killed Hotspur may get him a title and land. On the other
hand, Hotspur lies dead after losing a duel for honor. Hotspur, who is in many ways the ideal man by
the standards of his time, is killed by his lust for honor. In creating Hotspur, Shakespeare has created a
variation on the tragic hero of other works: the stubborn tragic hero, who, dying ... Show more content

In this he is similar to other famous tragic heroes. Oedipus was king at the opening of the play
Oedipus Rex, and Odysseus was returning from a great military conquest that had been won with an
idea that was at least partly his. In addition, Hotspur experiences the traditional rise and fall sequence
of the tragic hero. As Hotspur s plot against the King unfolds, it appears that he has as allies all the
forces of the men who were earlier named as fighting England s wars, and the King does not even
have his son. Here Hotspur hits his peak, just as Odysseus returning from victory at Troy was at his
peak as he started the journey home. Shakespeare packs almost all the bad news Hotspur will receive
into a single scene, telling us that many of Hotspur s allies have fallen out of the scene and describing
the King s forces and reinforcements, including Hal s joining Henry. This is in the style of the fall of
the tragic hero, and follows the pattern set by Odysseus sudden shipwreck and Oedipus sudden
understanding of what he is. To complete the picture, there is what might have been. Just as Oedipus
might have turned back from his quest for knowledge at any point, so Hotspur had several clear
opportunities to turn back, even at advantage. For instance, while the message carried by Worcester is
altered, the message Blunt took back to the King was not changed, and could have been an offer of
peace, on Hotspur s terms. In addition, it is Hotspur who pushes

The Character of Falstaff in Henry IV Essay
The Character of Falstaff in Henry IV
None of Shakespeare s plays are read more than the first and second parts of Henry IV. Particularly in
Henry IV Part I, Shakespeare writes chronologically historical and interesting to follow events. The
reader follows the chain of events with devotion and content eager to find out what happens next.
Even though the hero of the play is Prince Henry, or Hal as we know him, the reader may find
themselves more focused on Falstaff, one of the other major characters that Shakespeare created for
comical relief. He was a witty, self conscious, self centered companion of the Prince. King Henry even
criticized his eldest son for keeping company with such a low man. Even though Hal is ... Show more

Prince Hal was the hero of the play, but Falstaff was the character to follow. (Johnson 235)
Hal s opposite was a peer to him, the younger of the Percy s Hotspur. Shakespeare properly named
this character Hotspur for he was indeed a character with a hot temper and passionate ideas and
actions. He longed for a one on one match with the Prince, which he did get at the end of the play.
Unfortunately for himself, he lost it and was eventually eliminated. Yet I would have to agree with
Johnson once again that Falstaff received the center attention of the reader.( Johnson 235 )
Sir John, or as he was commonly known in the play as Falstaff, was a knight to the King Henry. He
was a man of large proportions, indulging into the sweet things in life. He was a man of low morale,
as Johnson had noted in his essay. He was a coward and the viewer got to see that in the robbery scene
that was aforementioned above. He cared for nothing in life but to satisfy his needs. He preyed upon
the poor, he was always ready to cheat and lie. Yet we have grown an attachment to him, for he is a
character that we learn to like. Michael Goldman highlighted that point in his Shakespeare and the
Energies of Drama. When at the end of the Boar s Head Tavern scene, when the viewer learns that the
Sheriff is outside looking for the robbers, Prince Hal defends the fat knight. However, we find Falstaff
soundly asleep behind an array. This scene

Description about Romania
Although Romania was originally a part of the Ottoman Empire, several principalities gained their
autonomy and then united to join the Axis powers. The greatest impact on Romanian people came
from Soviet occupation of the Eastern bloc, which caused an establishment of communism as the main
government ideology and led to slow economic growth during the 20th century, a time of rapid
industrialization and growth for many nations across the globe. Today, Romania is a member of both
the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the European Union (EU). Situated between
Bulgaria and Ukraine, it is home to one of the sputtering economies in the region, which is based on
manufacture of industrial capacity machinery and chemicals to other trade partners such as Germany
and Italy. Romania also boasts one of the largest labor forces in the world. One major issue with
Romania is its problem with drugs, as it serves as a conduit for laundering through government
officials and financial institutions.

include primary markets, such as IPOs that are placed with investors through underwriters, and

John Stuart Mill Harm Principle
The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized
community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others [14]. In John Stuart Mill s On Liberty, his
harm principle addresses interference in other people s actions. He contends that the exercise of power
over others is only justified when preventing harm. It is important to keep in mind that some harm is
acceptable, but an action that infringes on another s interests should be prevented and punished.
In accordance with Mill s description of his harm principle, the statement that protecting liberty
through this principle prioritizes the development of individuality over social progress is somewhat
valid. It is only somewhat valid because Mill prioritizes the self development of the individual in order
to help society progress rather than instead of the progression of society. He believes that freedom is
designed to protect individualism and that in a state of nature there would be no social contract
because of the concept of social good. This concept conveys that because people receive protection
from society then they owe a specific behavior in return.
Mill justifies the conservation of originality with the object of personal wellbeing and societal good.
His justification reveals the way that, in preventing harm, he prioritizes the preservation of the
individual to better the progression of society.

Anger In The Angry Young Men
Anger is an innate feature and feeling that is present in all human beings. It is a feeling the leads man
to feel that he is not restricted and free. It gives one the motivation to face everything and create his

unfairness that the mind receives towards something (126). Aristotle declares that anger is a
motivation that accompanied by pain. It leads to the idea of trying to make the other suffer through

Many people say they are going Gluten Free . This means that the person is transitioning to a diet
where they do not eat gluten. By doing this, they are excluding wheat, barley, rye and possibly oats

Free Diet was created for those who have medical reasons to not eat gluten. Medical reasons could be
celiac disease, wheat allergies, gluten sensitivity, dermatitis herpetiformis, ataxia and other

the diet is being used by those who do not have a practical medical reason to be practicing this diet.
The Gluten Free Diet rose in popularity when some research was introduced, that is still being

General Overview of the Topic
The course of history serves as an influential bridge that connects the past with our education, future,
and perspectives on crucial issues. In public education, history is a school subject that is taken by a
large population of students, and although authors and historians are working to create content with
less bias, the course is bound to present subjectivities. Such examples include the neglect towards the
Soviet era war crimes in Eastern European countries or the lack of attention given to the Nanking
Massacre in Japanese textbooks. These misleading alterations of historical content can often cause the

My Cultural Conception Of Happiness
The honorable Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso once said, When I meet people from different cultures I
know that they too want happiness and do not want suffering . . . That being said, people from
different cultures want to be happy. The only thing that differs between cultures is how each distinct
culture perceives how happiness can be achieved. Such is true for the conception of happiness
between my culture, the American culture, and the Indian culture. While the conception of happiness

Both bodies have differing views of happiness, but they still uphold the their individuality. Likewise, I
too am able to embrace my personal perception of happiness because my society is one that embraces
individualism. It can be said that my culture thoroughly embraces Aristotle s definition of happiness
due to the fact that it preaches the importance of every individual being the sole passenger and
conductor when it come to riding the train that is the pursuit of happiness. In other words, the pursuit
of happiness is in the hands of the individual. No matter how one believes they can achieve happiness
in my culture, the fact remains that it is widely recognized that happiness is based on an individual s
actions and viewpoints.
In contrast, the conception of happiness in Indian culture is a combination of both individualist and
collectivist viewpoints. From the individualistic viewpoint of happiness in Indian culture, an
individual has the power to pursue their own happiness and do whatever they deem conducive to their

Servant Leadership By Robert K. Greenleaf
Servant leadership is something that counters common sense. It is not the image of a leader that comes
to mind when you think of someone who is a leader Servants are individuals that are known for
following and bowing down while leaders are individuals who exhibit power and enforce rule. It is
difficult to picture a leader also having characteristics of a servant. While it may be difficult to picture,
servant leadership offers a unique perspective to leadership and often times is incredibly effective.
Servant leadership is a type of leadership that focuses on the behaviors of the leader. Northouse states,
a servant leader must be attentive to the concerns of their followers, empathize with them, and nurture
them (2013). Servant leadership demands that the leader empower his followers and help to build
them up in order to reach their full potential. Servant leadership helps enrich the lives of the
individuals working for the company and ultimately builds more caring organizations. Robert K.
Greenleaf wrote an essay entitled The Servant As Leader in 1970 where he said: The servant leader is
servant first... It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first. Then conscious
choice brings one to aspire to lead. That person is sharply different from one who is leader first,
perhaps because of the need to assuage an unusual power drive or to acquire material
possessions...The leader first and the servant first are two extreme types. Between them there are

2000 Us Presidential Election Essay
Introduction
The US Presidential Election of 2000 featured George W. Bush and Al Gore. It will go down in
history as one of the most closest elections¡¦ in US history. It also goes down as one of the most
controversial. The final decision was based on just a few hundred votes in Florida. The controversy
began when the media prematurely declared the winner twice based solely on exit polls. They finally
conceded that the Florida count was just too close to predict. It would take a month before the election
was ultimately certified after numerous court challenges and vote recounts. Republican candidate
George W. Bush was declared the winner of the Florida¡¦s 25 electoral votes. This was a victory by a
razor thin margin of popular ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As in the past, the media was covering the all important election. They had always relied on exit polls
as the polls closed across the nation. In reality, the Florida results were just too close to call.
Nevertheless, that did not stop the media from doing so. Not once, but twice, major news media
outlets were erroneous in their report. Around 8pm, it was declared that Al Gore was the projected
winner of the electoral votes in the state of Florida. However, a couple of hours later, the projection
was retracted and restated as Florida as being too close to call. Then, just after 2am on November 8,
the mistake was made for a second time. The major networks declared George W. as the winner. This
even led to Al Gore calling the Governor to concede. However, as Gore prepared to address his
supporters in Nashville, Tennessee, he was alert to the shrinking numbers in Bush¡¦s lead. The final
total was now less than one half of a percent lead in favor of Bush. That immediately calls for a
recount of votes under state law. Subsequently, Gore called Bush and retracted his concession. It
wasn¡¦t over yet! One thing was, Al Gore had prevailed in the popular vote but without Florida¡¦s tally,
the electoral vote was up in the air. The election wasn¡¦t over and the recounts began.

The results of the November 7, 2000 election were unknown for more than a month after the election.

Social Divisions In The Great Gatsby
My reading of American literature is concerned with this passage by Theodore Dreiser s An American
Tragedy. It explores variety within gender roles and the American dream of the times. This is explored
when social divisions are highlighted in the text in the phrase would have assumed at once belonged to
this world. The worlds that are shown to us are old and new in The Great Gatsby, as there are many
that are striving to achieve more wealth to belong to the new world where all the industrial wealth is
increasing in rates never seen before. The verb belonged suggests the social status of women in those
times, as men were the superior and women were to follow behind as belongings , and the reader has
to understand that men had the power and dominance over women. The noun world suggests the
divisions between the East side and the West side as they are portraying social divisions throughout
1922 when The Great Gatsby was set. Although An American Tragedy was set in 1925, a little after
The Great Gatsby, we have reason to conclude that similar social divisions were still in play. In The
Great Gatsby, Nick, the narrator of the novella, sees two kinds of America: the hard working Chicago,
part of a Middle West culture; and the white, fashionable East Egg. Nick may be able to make it in the
Middle West, but he is not cut out for East Coast life. This reference to the two worlds hints at the
decadence of the roaring 20s, a time in which which everyone was increasing in

Persuasive Essay On Performance Enhancing Drugs
In the world of sports it is a competitive place where athletes lay everything they have worked for
their whole lives to win the game. Now these athletes have been striving for greatness and dedicating
so much of their lives to getting bigger faster and stronger to be able to win some games and
ultimately move up in their careers and possibly make a living out of the sport they love to play.
Sports rewards players who are motivated and works harder than the other team and stay focused and
just dedicate so much to the sport. Now there are shortcuts to becoming bigger and faster and stronger.
While some athletes bleed sweat and work as hard as they can and sometimes get changes slowly and
far between some athletes will take performance enhancing drugs which will help these athletes take a
shortcut and beat out the others who strive to get better. There in my opinion is nothing wrong with
athletes wanting to get an upper edge on opponents by getting bigger and stronger but when the athlete
uses performance enhancing drugs to get an upper edge I do not agree with this and feel like those
athletes should receive some type of punishment. My first reason to not agree with performance
enhancing drugs are because in most if not all schools and organizations have rules that strictly state
that these performance enhancing drugs are completely prohibited. So since these schools and
organizations have rules against the performance enhancing drugs already then I cannot see why

Essay on The Sound of Waves by Yukio Mishima
In The Sound of Waves, Yukio Mishima creates an exquisite story which has strong idealistic and
mythic features. Although Mishima writes of young love and tranquility in The Sound of Waves, his
later works are categorized as aggressive and containing violent sexual actions. Even Mishima himself
referred to The Sound of Waves as that great joke on the public (qtd. in Ishiguro 385). However, one
cannot compare this novel to Mishima s other literary pieces; in order to classify it as romanticized,
one must evaluate the usage of imagery, an idealized setting, mythical allusions, and characterizations
which establish the romantic driven qualities in The Sound of Waves. It is apparent that nature plays a
major role throughout The Sound of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mythical allusions described by Mishima serve to highlight the other qualities within The Sound of
Waves. When Shinji first catches sight of Hatsue, she is letting her hair stream and her cheeks glow
(7). These characteristics are shown many times throughout the novel and resemble Vergil s depictions
of goddesses such as Venus and Juno in the Aeneid. One conflict that Hatsue must overcome is when
Yasuo attempts to rape her; his plot was obstructed by the intervention of a furious hornet. Hatsue sees
the flashing of the little golden colored wings and wonders what god it [is] who [has] come to her
rescue. (93).The interference of the hornet seems far fetched, for most would think that the hornet
would not only attack Yasuo, but also Hatsue. In this case, Mishima created an idealized situation
were nature as saved Hatsue from the immoral actions of Yasuo. The setting of the island Uta jima is
idealized, which creates a place where the romance between Hatsue and Shinji can seem realistic. The
reader begins the novel with a description of this island and two spots with surpassingly beautiful
views. (3).After this, the reader is introduced to a young man, Shinji, climbing up the stairs of the
lighthouse. Mishima depicts this area as one of the most beautiful views on the island. The

Identifying And Evaluate Depression Among Graduate Students
The purpose of this literature review is to identify and evaluate depression among graduate students,
relations to student development theory, and provide treatment outcomes and implications for student
affairs professionals to practice. Depression is a disabling disorder that can disrupt an individual s
ability to function occupationally, socially, physiologically, and psychologically for long periods at a
time (American Psychiatric Association, 2014). In the U.S. alone, an estimated 17 million adults suffer
from depression yearly and affecting college students as the most common psychological disorder
(American Psychiatric Association, 2014; Uqdah, Tyler, DeLoach, 2009).
At a higher risk for depression, graduate student s changes in environment, finances, social support,
and living conditions associated with beginning a graduate program can lead to depression (Uqdah,
Tyler, DeLoach, 2009). However, most studies and institutions on depression focus highly on
undergraduates and providing support and resources that guides undergraduate s student development.
Compared to undergraduates, the research, services, and resources provided to graduate students are
limited or not easily accessible. If depression is left untreated, depressive symptoms can compromise
student learning and affect academic performance, thus, enabling negative behavior, such as alcohol
abuse, unsafe sex, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation (National Institute of Mental Health, 2012).

The Biblical Subtext in Samuel Beckett’s Waiting For Godot...
Samuel Beckett may have renounced the use of Christian motifs in Waiting for Godot, but looking at
the character of Lucky proves otherwise. We can see Lucky as a representative figure of Christ as his
actions in the play carry a sort of criticism of Christianity. His role suggests that the advantages of
Christianity have declined to the point where they no longer help humanity at all. If you analyze the
poem Waiting for Godot you can see the huge parallels between the character of Lucky and Jesus.
Lucky, bound with a rope, is the disgraced prisoner, very similar to the story of Jesus as the prisoner of
the Romans after Judas turned him in. Pozzo beats, yells at, and spits on Lucky the same way the
Roman treated Jesus when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lucky slowly chokes as the rope cuts into his neck just as crucifixion suffocated Jesus until he was
dead. Pozzo, rephrasing Estragon s question, then asks a emblematic question concerning Lucky, he
asks Why he doesn t make himself comfortable? . This question refers specifically to the taunting
spectators gave to Jesus, telling him to save himself and if he is the son of God to get himself off the
cross, this also refers generally to Christ s mission of suffering on earth to forgive us of our sins.
Pozzo tells them that Lucky doesn t want to let go of the luggage because He wants to mollify me, so
that I will give up the idea of parting with him . He also says that Lucky imagines that when I see how
well he carries I ll be tempted to keep him on in that capacity . This is extremely similar to the way
that Jesus believed that he had to carry out his burden of crucifixion to awaken humanity s faith in
God for time to come. Jesus directed his apostles to make disciples of all nations and to teach them to
carry out everything I have commanded you. And always know that I am with you (Matthew 28:18
20). Jesus wanted us as humans to act in his own memory, or to keep himself on in that capacity,
which was that of teacher, consoler, and in the end deliverer of salvation. In the past Pozzo had
benefitted from Lucky, now he thinks the benefits are gone. Something,

William Browning And Elizabeth Barrett Browning Essay
The Two Authors Different Perspective Literatures in the Victorian Era
Many authors are influenced by the society, culture, politic and economy during their period.
Therefore, their literary works usually describe the condition of their period directly or indirectly. The
two authors, Roberts Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, also expose the culture and the
condition of the society of the Victorian era through their works. The authors are married couple
authors of the Victorian era. Roberts Browning s a typical literary work is My Last Duchess. Elizabeth
Barrett Browning s one of the most famous work is Aurora Leigh. In the two poems, the authors
mainly focus on the different gender roles. Even though the two Victorian era literatures, Aurora Leigh
and My Last Duchess, demonstrate the social issue, which is a sexual discrimination during the
Victorian era, each author emphasizes the seriousness of the issue by using different perspectives on
women s roles and positions. My Last Duchess, which was written by Roberts browning demonstrates
the horrible condition of the Victorian society by exposing the author s perspective on the genders role
in the Victorian era. The book, the literature of the Victorian era, defines the poem a perfect picture of
cold blooded heartlessness, a thing possible in any age though fortunately (Hugh 427). The poem
clearly shows the dreadful social condition for a woman in the Victorian era. According to the author,

Why Is Hinduism The Strongest Civilization
Hinduism is one of the oldest religions which some believe to be the first. Hinduism is so big it has
almost one billion people following the religion. Also, Buddhism is also very old but has only been

People don t even know how far back Hinduism is way older and has been around for longer than
Buddhism, which means Hinduism has had longer to develop and become a civilized civilization.

Prostitution Victimless Crime
The notion that prostitution is a victimless crime has been accepted by many since in theory, neither
participants of the crime are unwilling or harmed in the process. However, upon further exploration,
this notion is found to be critically flawed. A victimless crime has been described as a situation in
which a socially disapproved and legally proscribed exchange occurs with lack of apparent harm to
others (Schur, 1965 cited in Roach Anleau, 2006). It is understood if a participant is willing and a lack
of harm exists, the crime is victimless. Prostitution is not a criminal offence in Australia however,
allowing a premises to be used for prostitution, soliciting in public or living on the earnings of a
prostitute are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the case of prostitution, this becomes more complicated. In order to determine whether there is a
victim in prostitution, the concept of consent must be re examined. In Harding and Hamilton s study
(2008), several prostitutes were asked whether they were forced into the act. All of the respondents
stated they had felt coerced into sex work by their partners typically, abusive and violent men . It was
suggested that many prostitutes suffer from a false consciousness where they are a victim, despite not
identifying as one. (Harding Hamilton, 2008). Benson and Matthews (1995) support this claim
concluding from their studies that although many believe prostitutes should be able to continue their
freely chosen occupation unrestricted, the truth is that many battle from various forms of dependency.
It appears prostitution is unlikely to be a free choice, rather, stems from desperation, abuse, control
and coercion. Some of those involved in sex work may convince themselves they chose to do so in an
attempt to exert some control over their lives and bodies (Harding Hamilton, 2008). Ultimately, if the
willingness of the prostitute is lacking then we cannot label prostitution as a victimless

The Effects Of Nuclear Family On Children
As Bronfenbrenner s Bioecological Model suggests, the nuclear family typically provides the first and
most important environment in the child s early development (Siegler, Eisenberg, DeLoache, Saffran,
Graham, 2014). However, due to its strong influence on the child and to the intensity of early
attachments, any disruptions to the family s structure threatens to trigger a series of risk factors that
most children are not equipped to handle (Kostelnik, Soderman, Whiren, Rupiper, Gregory, 2012).
Amongst these disruptions, parental divorce and family reconstitution present stressful and disturbing
challenges for children. Young children in particular five years and younger are in greater risk of
failing to cope with such circumstances, as their cognitive and social development has not yet
provided them with the necessary mechanisms to understand and handle the complexities of the
circumstances (Elliott Richards, 1991; Kostelnik et al., 2012). Under these events parental support
becomes vital, and an array of tools that parents can use to help their children to successfully navigate
these difficult situations is available. In many countries, picture books addressing divorce, remarriage,
and stepfamilies are often used as effective useful venues to aid children cope with these stressful
situations (Mo, 2007). In light of these statements, and using the impact of family conflict and marital

The Music Of Music Today
Music Today On the highway there is always noise. The sound of cars honking and rushing by is all I
can hear. I hit the FM button on my radio. When the radio comes on, I hear a song I have never heard
before. Really enjoying it, I sing along and jam out to it. The music is the soundtrack to my drive. It
blocks out the sound of the highway winds and cars driving by. An hour later, I get back into my car
and hear the same song. I sing along but do not jam as enthusiastically this time. After hearing that
same song more than ten times in a week, I feel as if I am a movie character who is stuck in the same
scene singing the same song. I am tired of hearing the instrumental of the song; I get bored of singing
the melody I once enjoyed. I flip through different radio stations and hear the same old songs I always
hear. Giving up on the radio, I hook up my phone to my car with Bluetooth and play my own music. I
open up Spotify and hit play. Spotify makes a playlist that plays songs it thinks you will like based on
what you have listened to in the past. Fresh melodies flood my car; fresh harmonies flow through my
speakers. Song after song, I hear something I have never heard before. Like a lot of people, I do not

Analysis Of Wittgenstein s View About The Nature, Limit...
Hayley Berkowitz Linguistic Structure: Wittgenstein s view about the Nature, Limit Function of
Logical Constants Quantifiers. 2. For Ludwig Wittgenstein to really provide us with a thorough
account of propositions he needs to explain the nature of logical constants. Wittgenstein was a thinker
who remained skeptical as to whether logical constants could be representational. For him, (negations,
conditionals, connectives, conjuncts, disjuncts, etc) are not constituents of the proposition but are
instead structural elements of that proposition. The notion that the nature of logical constants is
inherently structural, seems clear in Wittgenstein s reference to them in relation to punctuation. In
5.4611, Wittgenstein declares that Logical operation signs are punctuations , and it seems in this sense
they must have a syntactical role. With this notion in mind the proposition that Greg is a lobster ,
would have the same sense as the proposition that Greg is not a lobster . It s feasible to assume that the
negated proposition has an extra situation or object (the negation) that goes above and beyond the
unnegated proposition. For Wittgenstein however, this is not the case because negative facts merely
account for the non existence of a state of affairs. Therefore, because not is a structural element (and
not a name) it can only be a truth function that reverses the sense of a proposition. For Wittgenstein
the sign and in the sentence Mr. Hsu and Greg float into

How They Dress In Lucy Research Paper
How they Dress: In Lucy the outfits are very generic or what you would expect at the time. The girls
would dress up to look cute and nice and the men would be in suits and usually look very formal. In
Modern family they all would dress sort of like how we would. Very casually and no one really sticks
out from one another when it would come to comparing clothes.
Role of men/women: The roles in I Love Lucy would also be something that you would expect for the
time. The Men would be the busy business men in there suits going and working and coming home to
greet their wife and for the ladies, It would be like cleaning, Kitchen Work and most stereotypical
things. In modern family everything is mixed and ordinary. You have the adults going to work

Equal Employment Opportunity Complaint Essay
Equal Employment Opportunity Complaint
In order for John to file a discrimination complaint against his employer, he is required to file a charge
with the Equal Employment Opportunity Complaint counselor or representative of the company. Once
the charge has been filed, an investigation is made, or the charge maybe selected to an EEOC program
and maybe dismissed. In this case, John is given a certain number of days to file a lawsuit on his
behalf. This process would have to go through several lengthy stages such as the EEOC administrative
process. If gone to trial it must go through filing of a summons, response and answer, discovery
process, enlisting of experts, pre trial, actual trial and a possible appeal. In the EEOC s Charge ...

The defendant at this time must plead any affirmative defenses and show that they are not liable
because the affirmative defense rules out liability. The next step is the Discovery Process, which is the
formal fact finding stage of litigation. There are several different types of discovery processes:
interrogatories, depositions, request to produce documents, physical and mental examinations and
request for admissions. Both sides would then request additional information from the other party or
third parties to develop their case. In most cases if privileged information is gathered, the opposing
party does not have to produce this information. In addition to information gathered, the parties may
be able to determine their opponent s theories and strengths of their courtroom presentation. Based on
their discovery plan and requests. Once the discovery process is completed, the Enlisting of Experts
process is required. The plaintiff early in the pre trial process to determine whether he has a viable
claim must obtain this expert. The defendant will also obtain an expert to support the defendant s
theory of the case and refute the plaintiff s expert. After sufficient discovery has been made and
experts are in place, either party may move for summary judgment. If the material at hand shows that
there is no genuine issue as to a material fact, the court may rule and motion that there is no need for a
formal trial. When either party

  • 2. The Murder Of Nicole Brown Simpson People all over the world know O.J. Simpson, because he was arrested and trialed for the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson his former wife, and Ronald Goldman the friend of his former wife. The murder trial took place in 1994, and the verdict of the court was that, he was not guilty. There were marital problems between O.J. Simpson and his former wife, and at some point, his wife complained to family members and friends about their marriage. She complained of being physically abused and frequently beaten by O.J. Simpson, though he persistently denied ever abusing her. Due to their marital problems, she decided to file for divorce in 1992. On 12th June, 1994, disaster struck as the bodies of Ronald Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson were found after being stabbed to death in Los Angeles, outside her condominium. The police conducted their investigations, and the evidence found led them to suspect O.J. Simpson as the murderer. • 4. The Book Of Martha Analysis The Purpose in Life The real question is not whether life exists after death. The real question is whether you are alive before death (Rajneesh, n.d.). This short story narrates about a woman named Martha Bes that apparently died. The main character is debating whether or not she is alive or dead. Also she goes about asking what God wanted her to do. The book of Martha written by Octavia Butler uses literary elements to present the overall message what is God s purpose in life. One such literary element used to present the story s theme is the setting. First she was sitting at her computer, wrapping up one more day s work on her fifth novel (Octavia, 2003). Then she felt stiff and stopped working at five in the morning. Suddenly, she asks her self where she was. and in a surprising way she started telling herself that she could not be in heaven. Martha s descriptions of an endless grayness creates a mood of gloominess. In addition, describing that there was nothing there but herself and God, made the reader felt depressive. Discovering where the story took place helps the reader understand more in depth the story. Another literary element that presents the story s theme is the plot. We learn that Schindler did not actually create a list as was made popular in the movie directed by Steven Spielberg. Instead, Marcel Goldberg, a Jewish clerk assigned to the new Plaszow commandant Arnold Buscher, played the largest role in compiling the transport list. It is generally agreed that Buscher, an SS officer, could not have cared, within certain numerical limits, who went on the list, according to Thomas Keneally. • 6. A Study Of Bitopological Spaces Abstract. In 1995, A.A. Nasef and T. Noiri [6] introduced the notion of strongly  irresolute functions. In the present paper, we generalize this notion to the setting of bitopological spaces and obtain some characterizations and properties of pairwise strongly semi preirresolute functions. Introduction and preliminaries The study of bitopological spaces was initiated by Kelly [4] in 1963. Abd ElMonsef et al. [1] introduced the notion of  open sets and  continuity in topological spaces. On the other hand, Andrijevic [2] called  open sets semipreopen and obtained many properties of such subsets. Recently, Khedr et al. [5] have investigated the notions of semi preopen sets and semi precontinuity in bitopological spaces. In 1995, Nasef and Noiri [6] defined and studied the concept of strongly  irresolute functions. • 7. Essay on Hotspur as Tragic Hero of Henry IV Hotspur as Tragic Hero of Henry IV In Shakespeare s Henry IV Part One, the characters many different conceptions of honor govern how they respond to situations. Each character s conception of honor has a great impact on the character s standing after the play. For instance, Falstaff survived because he dishonorably faked his own death, and his untrue claim that he was the one who killed Hotspur may get him a title and land. On the other hand, Hotspur lies dead after losing a duel for honor. Hotspur, who is in many ways the ideal man by the standards of his time, is killed by his lust for honor. In this he is similar to other famous tragic heroes. Oedipus was king at the opening of the play Oedipus Rex, and Odysseus was returning from a great military conquest that had been won with an idea that was at least partly his. As Hotspur s plot against the King unfolds, it appears that he has as allies all the forces of the men who were earlier named as fighting England s wars, and the King does not even have his son. Here Hotspur hits his peak, just as Odysseus returning from victory at Troy was at his peak as he started the journey home. Shakespeare packs almost all the bad news Hotspur will receive into a single scene, telling us that many of Hotspur s allies have fallen out of the scene and describing the King s forces and reinforcements, including Hal s joining Henry. This is in the style of the fall of the tragic hero, and follows the pattern set by Odysseus sudden shipwreck and Oedipus sudden understanding of what he is. To complete the picture, there is what might have been. Just as Oedipus might have turned back from his quest for knowledge at any point, so Hotspur had several clear opportunities to turn back, even at advantage. He longed for a one on one match with the Prince, which he did get at the end of the play. Unfortunately for himself, he lost it and was eventually eliminated. Yet I would have to agree with Johnson once again that Falstaff received the center attention of the reader.( Johnson 235 ) Sir John, or as he was commonly known in the play as Falstaff, was a knight to the King Henry. He was a man of large proportions, indulging into the sweet things in life. He was a man of low morale, as Johnson had noted in his essay. In John Stuart Mill s On Liberty, his harm principle addresses interference in other people s actions. He contends that the exercise of power over others is only justified when preventing harm. It is important to keep in mind that some harm is acceptable, but an action that infringes on another s interests should be prevented and punished. In accordance with Mill s description of his harm principle, the statement that protecting liberty through this principle prioritizes the development of individuality over social progress is somewhat valid. It is only somewhat valid because Mill prioritizes the self development of the individual in order to help society progress rather than instead of the progression of society. He believes that freedom is designed to protect individualism and that in a state of nature there would be no social contract because of the concept of social good. This concept conveys that because people receive protection from society then they owe a specific behavior in return. The final decision was based on just a few hundred votes in Florida. The controversy began when the media prematurely declared the winner twice based solely on exit polls. They finally conceded that the Florida count was just too close to predict. It would take a month before the election was ultimately certified after numerous court challenges and vote recounts. Republican candidate George W. Bush was declared the winner of the Florida¡¦s 25 electoral votes. This was a victory by a razor thin margin of popular ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As in the past, the media was covering the all important election. They had always relied on exit polls as the polls closed across the nation. In reality, the Florida results were just too close to call. Nevertheless, that did not stop the media from doing so. Not once, but twice, major news media outlets were erroneous in their report. Around 8pm, it was declared that Al Gore was the projected winner of the electoral votes in the state of Florida. However, a couple of hours later, the projection was retracted and restated as Florida as being too close to call. Then, just after 2am on November 8, the mistake was made for a second time. The major networks declared George W. as the winner. This even led to Al Gore calling the Governor to concede. However, as Gore prepared to address his supporters in Nashville, Tennessee, he was alert to the shrinking numbers in Bush¡¦s lead. The final total was now less than one half of a percent lead in favor of Bush. That immediately calls for a recount of votes under state law. Subsequently, Gore called Bush and retracted his concession. It wasn¡¦t over yet! One thing was, Al Gore had prevailed in the popular vote but without Florida¡¦s tally, the electoral vote was up in the air. The election wasn¡¦t over and the recounts began. • 24. Social Divisions In The Great Gatsby My reading of American literature is concerned with this passage by Theodore Dreiser s An American Tragedy. It explores variety within gender roles and the American dream of the times. This is explored when social divisions are highlighted in the text in the phrase would have assumed at once belonged to this world. The worlds that are shown to us are old and new in The Great Gatsby, as there are many that are striving to achieve more wealth to belong to the new world where all the industrial wealth is increasing in rates never seen before. The verb belonged suggests the social status of women in those times, as men were the superior and women were to follow behind as belongings , and the reader has to understand that men had the power and dominance over women. The noun world suggests the divisions between the East side and the West side as they are portraying social divisions throughout 1922 when The Great Gatsby was set. Although An American Tragedy was set in 1925, a little after The Great Gatsby, we have reason to conclude that similar social divisions were still in play. In The Great Gatsby, Nick, the narrator of the novella, sees two kinds of America: the hard working Chicago, part of a Middle West culture; and the white, fashionable East Egg. Nick may be able to make it in the Middle West, but he is not cut out for East Coast life. This reference to the two worlds hints at the decadence of the roaring 20s, a time in which which everyone was increasing in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Now these athletes have been striving for greatness and dedicating so much of their lives to getting bigger faster and stronger to be able to win some games and ultimately move up in their careers and possibly make a living out of the sport they love to play. Sports rewards players who are motivated and works harder than the other team and stay focused and just dedicate so much to the sport. Now there are shortcuts to becoming bigger and faster and stronger. While some athletes bleed sweat and work as hard as they can and sometimes get changes slowly and far between some athletes will take performance enhancing drugs which will help these athletes take a shortcut and beat out the others who strive to get better. There in my opinion is nothing wrong with athletes wanting to get an upper edge on opponents by getting bigger and stronger but when the athlete uses performance enhancing drugs to get an upper edge I do not agree with this and feel like those athletes should receive some type of punishment. My first reason to not agree with performance enhancing drugs are because in most if not all schools and organizations have rules that strictly state that these performance enhancing drugs are completely prohibited. Although Mishima writes of young love and tranquility in The Sound of Waves, his later works are categorized as aggressive and containing violent sexual actions. Even Mishima himself referred to The Sound of Waves as that great joke on the public (qtd. in Ishiguro 385). However, one cannot compare this novel to Mishima s other literary pieces; in order to classify it as romanticized, one must evaluate the usage of imagery, an idealized setting, mythical allusions, and characterizations which establish the romantic driven qualities in The Sound of Waves. These characteristics are shown many times throughout the novel and resemble Vergil s depictions of goddesses such as Venus and Juno in the Aeneid. One conflict that Hatsue must overcome is when Yasuo attempts to rape her; his plot was obstructed by the intervention of a furious hornet. Hatsue sees the flashing of the little golden colored wings and wonders what god it [is] who [has] come to her rescue. (93).The interference of the hornet seems far fetched, for most would think that the hornet would not only attack Yasuo, but also Hatsue. In this case, Mishima created an idealized situation were nature as saved Hatsue from the immoral actions of Yasuo. The setting of the island Uta jima is idealized, which creates a place where the romance between Hatsue and Shinji can seem realistic. The reader begins the novel with a description of this island and two spots with surpassingly beautiful views. Identifying And Evaluate Depression Among Graduate Students The purpose of this literature review is to identify and evaluate depression among graduate students, relations to student development theory, and provide treatment outcomes and implications for student affairs professionals to practice. Depression is a disabling disorder that can disrupt an individual s ability to function occupationally, socially, physiologically, and psychologically for long periods at a time (American Psychiatric Association, 2014). In the U.S. alone, an estimated 17 million adults suffer from depression yearly and affecting college students as the most common psychological disorder (American Psychiatric Association, 2014; Uqdah, Tyler, DeLoach, 2009). At a higher risk for depression, graduate student s changes in environment, finances, social support, and living conditions associated with beginning a graduate program can lead to depression (Uqdah, Tyler, DeLoach, 2009). However, most studies and institutions on depression focus highly on undergraduates and providing support and resources that guides undergraduate s student development. Compared to undergraduates, the research, services, and resources provided to graduate students are limited or not easily accessible. • 36. The Biblical Subtext in Samuel Beckett’s Waiting For Godot... Samuel Beckett may have renounced the use of Christian motifs in Waiting for Godot, but looking at the character of Lucky proves otherwise. We can see Lucky as a representative figure of Christ as his actions in the play carry a sort of criticism of Christianity. His role suggests that the advantages of Christianity have declined to the point where they no longer help humanity at all. If you analyze the poem Waiting for Godot you can see the huge parallels between the character of Lucky and Jesus. Lucky, bound with a rope, is the disgraced prisoner, very similar to the story of Jesus as the prisoner of the Romans after Judas turned him in. Pozzo beats, yells at, and spits on Lucky the same way the Roman treated Jesus when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lucky slowly chokes as the rope cuts into his neck just as crucifixion suffocated Jesus until he was dead. Pozzo, rephrasing Estragon s question, then asks a emblematic question concerning Lucky, he asks Why he doesn t make himself comfortable? . This question refers specifically to the taunting spectators gave to Jesus, telling him to save himself and if he is the son of God to get himself off the cross, this also refers generally to Christ s mission of suffering on earth to forgive us of our sins. Pozzo tells them that Lucky doesn t want to let go of the luggage because He wants to mollify me, so that I will give up the idea of parting with him . He also says that Lucky imagines that when I see how well he carries I ll be tempted to keep him on in that capacity . This is extremely similar to the way that Jesus believed that he had to carry out his burden of crucifixion to awaken humanity s faith in God for time to come. Jesus directed his apostles to make disciples of all nations and to teach them to carry out everything I have commanded you. And always know that I am with you (Matthew 28:18 20). Jesus wanted us as humans to act in his own memory, or to keep himself on in that capacity, which was that of teacher, consoler, and in the end deliverer of salvation. William Browning And Elizabeth Barrett Browning Essay The Two Authors Different Perspective Literatures in the Victorian Era Many authors are influenced by the society, culture, politic and economy during their period. Therefore, their literary works usually describe the condition of their period directly or indirectly. The two authors, Roberts Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, also expose the culture and the condition of the society of the Victorian era through their works. The authors are married couple authors of the Victorian era. Roberts Browning s a typical literary work is My Last Duchess. Elizabeth Barrett Browning s one of the most famous work is Aurora Leigh. In the two poems, the authors mainly focus on the different gender roles. Even though the two Victorian era literatures, Aurora Leigh and My Last Duchess, demonstrate the social issue, which is a sexual discrimination during the Victorian era, each author emphasizes the seriousness of the issue by using different perspectives on women s roles and positions. My Last Duchess, which was written by Roberts browning demonstrates the horrible condition of the Victorian society by exposing the author s perspective on the genders role in the Victorian era. The book, the literature of the Victorian era, defines the poem a perfect picture of cold blooded heartlessness, a thing possible in any age though fortunately (Hugh 427). The poem clearly shows the dreadful social condition for a woman in the Victorian era. According to the author, Michael O Neill, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Prostitution Victimless Crime The notion that prostitution is a victimless crime has been accepted by many since in theory, neither participants of the crime are unwilling or harmed in the process. However, upon further exploration, this notion is found to be critically flawed. A victimless crime has been described as a situation in which a socially disapproved and legally proscribed exchange occurs with lack of apparent harm to others (Schur, 1965 cited in Roach Anleau, 2006). It is understood if a participant is willing and a lack of harm exists, the crime is victimless. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the case of prostitution, this becomes more complicated. In order to determine whether there is a victim in prostitution, the concept of consent must be re examined. In Harding and Hamilton s study (2008), several prostitutes were asked whether they were forced into the act. All of the respondents stated they had felt coerced into sex work by their partners typically, abusive and violent men . It was suggested that many prostitutes suffer from a false consciousness where they are a victim, despite not identifying as one. (Harding Hamilton, 2008). Benson and Matthews (1995) support this claim concluding from their studies that although many believe prostitutes should be able to continue their freely chosen occupation unrestricted, the truth is that many battle from various forms of dependency. It appears prostitution is unlikely to be a free choice, rather, stems from desperation, abuse, control and coercion. Some of those involved in sex work may convince themselves they chose to do so in an attempt to exert some control over their lives and bodies (Harding Hamilton, 2008). The Effects Of Nuclear Family On Children As Bronfenbrenner s Bioecological Model suggests, the nuclear family typically provides the first and most important environment in the child s early development (Siegler, Eisenberg, DeLoache, Saffran, Graham, 2014). However, due to its strong influence on the child and to the intensity of early attachments, any disruptions to the family s structure threatens to trigger a series of risk factors that most children are not equipped to handle (Kostelnik, Soderman, Whiren, Rupiper, Gregory, 2012). Amongst these disruptions, parental divorce and family reconstitution present stressful and disturbing challenges for children. Young children in particular five years and younger are in greater risk of failing to cope with such circumstances, as their cognitive and social development has not yet provided them with the necessary mechanisms to understand and handle the complexities of the circumstances (Elliott Richards, 1991; Kostelnik et al., 2012). • 44. Analysis Of Wittgenstein s View About The Nature, Limit... Hayley Berkowitz Linguistic Structure: Wittgenstein s view about the Nature, Limit Function of Logical Constants Quantifiers. 2. For Ludwig Wittgenstein to really provide us with a thorough account of propositions he needs to explain the nature of logical constants. Wittgenstein was a thinker who remained skeptical as to whether logical constants could be representational. For him, (negations, conditionals, connectives, conjuncts, disjuncts, etc) are not constituents of the proposition but are instead structural elements of that proposition. The notion that the nature of logical constants is inherently structural, seems clear in Wittgenstein s reference to them in relation to punctuation. In 5.4611, Wittgenstein declares that Logical operation signs are punctuations , and it seems in this sense they must have a syntactical role. With this notion in mind the proposition that Greg is a lobster , would have the same sense as the proposition that Greg is not a lobster . It s feasible to assume that the negated proposition has an extra situation or object (the negation) that goes above and beyond the unnegated proposition. For Wittgenstein however, this is not the case because negative facts merely account for the non existence of a state of affairs. Therefore, because not is a structural element (and not a name) it can only be a truth function that reverses the sense of a proposition.
