This document provides feedback from a teacher to a student, Lily Curtis, on her pre-production tasks for a music video project. The teacher confirms that research on similar products, genre analysis, target audience, annotated lyrics, storyboards, and drafts were completed satisfactorily. However, the shot list, floor plans, locations, costumes, props, actors, equipment, and production schedule were either incomplete or not handed in initially. The student has now uploaded all missing work, which the teacher finds to be of a high proficient standard, raising the mark from 5/20 to 15/20.

1. Some basic analysis of ‘Take Care’ by Drake/Rihanna. You should be
using Goodwin to analyse this video. How are his 6 features and 5 ways
shown in this video? Some application of Goodwin has now been added
although this could be in more detail.
2. Genre research completed using powerpoint. Some good research has
been undertaken. Could you say more how RnB has changed with
regards music of today. Does ethnicity play a part? You could look at a
specific artist and do a mini case study. Digipak and poster research has
been completed well using prezi, lots of good detail and analysis.
3. Good research on target audience. Good use of avatars to show
stereotypical audience members – you could add detail on what these
people like to do in terms of hobbies, fashion, movie tastes etc.
4. Lyrics have been annotated analysed well showing initial ideas.
5. Good evidence of ideas drafting. Good comments on the listening
exercise to show how you might incorporate other ideas.
6. Comprehensive storyboards detailing your ides well.
7. Some work on your shot list has been added, but this is not complete. A
comprehensive detailed shot list has now been added.
8. Not handed in Good clear floor plan of main location, excellently labelled
with multiple shots explained well. Would have been good to see floor
plans of other locations.

Where is all your work Lily? This is incomplete and can only be level 1 until all
work is handed in.
