The authors said there were signs of human activities in the caves and that there are more
archaeological work that need to be done. The article main idea was to showed the prehistoric uses of
the Dunbar Cave in Montgomery County, Tennessee. I liked the article because the authors gave a
good enough background information so that the reader can understand it. They also define some of
the vocabulary that was used so that the reader completely understand what they were talking about.
The article also included tables and detail information on what the table is talking about. For example,
one of the table is about the Radiocarbon age determination from the Dunbar cave. At first glance the
information is very confusing, but after a while I can see what the authors was referring to and where
they got their information from. One of the problem that the article had was when they were
interpreting one of the pictograph. After reading the descriptions I went back and look at the image, I
could not see what they authors were referring to. I realized that most of the pictures needed

The past few weeks have been tough and definitely not what I was expecting of an ethics unit. Week
in, week out I find myself stumped by questions I don t have the answers to. However more than ever
before I am trying to come up with decisive answers regarding what my opinion is on certain ethical
issues, rather than just analysing the merits and demerits of other people s viewpoints.
II STRUCTURE OF REFLECTION
For my reflection I will be outlining the main practical skills that I have gained from this unit whether
it be from the weekly readings, tutorial exercises and/or online modules and material. The practical
skills gained consist of intellectual, performative and affective skills all of which are essential for
practicing lawyers, however for the purpose of this reflection primary focus will be placed upon
intellectual and affective skills.

are added to health belief model that includes motivating factor, cues to action and self efficacy. Each

HBM also provides guidelines for the program development allowing planners to address reasons for
non compliance with recommended health action. The health belief model is a process used to
promote healthy behavior among individuals who may be at risk of developing adverse health
outcomes. A person must gauge their perceptions of severity and susceptibility of developing a
disease. Then it is essential to feel vulnerable by these perceptions. Environmental factors can play a
role as well as cues to action such as media, and close friends. In order to determine that taking action

Through allusions, Plath evokes many emotions, symbols, and preconceptions like a cold father and
suffering in World War I without actually stating them specifically.
In addition to allusions to further her theme, Plath employs simple diction to reveal how deep the pain
runs. When people suffer from a traumatic experience, they often go into regression and revert back to
a childish state, which is what Plath communicates through her basic word choices. For example, the
title of the poem, Daddy, a word which is used affectionately towards a father, uncovers her desperate
need for love from this important figure. The repetition of the word throughout the piece stresses this

Since the beginning of September, I have been attending the Root Cellar in Portland Maine. My work
has varied time to time, but, mostly includes watching and hanging out with kids from age 5 18. I also
helped with projects around the organization and preparing meals for kids. Throughout my time at the
root cellar, I have noticed multiple scenarios where concepts we learn in the classroom are evident
with my experiences at this organization.
The first concept or chapter I am going to focus on is education. They provide multiple services for
the students attending to perform well in school and get extra help on homework or any other school
work. They provide private tutors for free in which they will help students with specific subjects. Two
times specifically stand out to me when thinking about the concept of education. The first was when I
was walking by and witnessed an older gentleman helping a student for about an hour with his english
homework. Next was when a little boy in the 4th grade came up to me and asked for some help with
his math homework. He was learning how to multiply numbers and I taught him the multiplying nines
trick on his hands. He was so amazed by this and was very thankful which made my whole experience
at The Root Cellar worth it.
