It is fantasy based movie, inspired by the Rocky movies. However, it is possible that the story could
have happened or is happening to a real person due to the issues presented throughout the movie. In a
sense, the movie Creed is very similar to the musical film My Fair Lady. In My Fair Lady, Eliza
wanted to learn how to speak properly thus, she increases her chances advancing in the community.
Her inability to speak a proper English hindered her from getting a good paying job. Therefore, she
went to seek help from Professor Henry Higgins. Earlier in the story, Higgins refused to help Eliza
who had nothing to offer him. But because of her persistent and Pickering challenging him to make
her a proper speaking lady, he took on the bet. The same plot was introduced in Creed. Jordan had a
dream to be a great boxer, thus, he went to seek help from Stallone who had no interest in wasting his
time teaching him boxing. But after a while, he agreed to train him but on his terms. Also, in both
films the students Eliza and Adonis moved to live with their teachers Higgins and Rocky. In addition,
at the end of My Fair lady, when Eliza left Higgins s house, he felt that he got accustomed to her being

In January 2010, Allan Monroe was preparing for the April opening of the Wildwood Lake Canoe
Company (WLC), a canoe manufacturing shop in St. Mary s, Ontario. Monroe planned to build 30
canoes per year and he wondered what strategy and tactics would maximize his profits.
The initiative for WLC evolved from Monroe s canoeing and woodworking hobbies. Monroe had
canoed recreationally for more than 20 years and had built three canoes, which he sold after using
them each for a season. Last spring, when Monroe decided to purchase a canoe for the first time, he

Monroe planned to produce 30 canoes in the first year and average one canoe every ten days, which
would leave 65 days to buffer any unforeseen production delays[1]. Monroe would have to work
seven days a week to maintain the production pace; however, he felt that he could handle a seven day
schedule for two to three years. Although the first canoes were scheduled to take almost 12 days to
build, manufacturing time would gradually decrease. Monroe knew that he would have to invest in
some equipment which would include an estimated $5,530 for power equipment and accessories; hand
tools at $835; cutters, blades and bits at $800; benches, stands and cabinets for $1,600; forms and jigs
for $160; and office equipment for $3,055. Monroe projected that variable costs would total $1,161
per canoe[2] and annual operating expenses would total $8,644[3].
The market for canoes followed the business cycle. In recessions, canoe sales suffered as many
prospective customers stopped recreational spending. Sales of premium priced canoes were especially
vulnerable. The statistics showed that many companies were unable to survive the recent recession
that began in 2008; however, industry sales had been strong and improving over the past year or so.
Monroe was optimistic that growth would continue in the immediate future.

Michelle Alexander s book, The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness,
examines mass incarceration in the United States, why the criminal justice system works the way it
does towards minorities, the detriments associated with mass incarceration as it relates to offenders,
and much more. In the introduction of her book, Alexander immediately paints the harsh reality of
mass incarceration with the story of Jarvious Cotton who is denied the right to vote among other rights
because he, has been labeled as a felon and is currently on parole (1). Other information Alexander
presents in her introduction are her qualifications as an author of the book, and gives a brief summary
of each chapter and how each one is laid out. Her qualifications are she is African American civil
rights attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and is also an Associate Professor at
the University of Stanford Law School. From a critical standpoint, Alexander seems very qualified to
write on the topic, being part of the marginalized group and also being an expert in the legal field of
which the topic covers, enhances her ethos to where one could consider her an expert in mass
incarceration topics, as they relate to African Americans. Overall, the introduction of her book does a
great job starting out giving a stark reality of topic at hand, giving brief statistical references about
mass incarceration in the United States, and giving an outline for her book. The

Advantages of perfect competition
Because firms produce where MC=MR=Price, allocative efficiency is achieved.
Productive efficiency is also achieved because the firm produces at the lowest point of the AC curve.
Prices are lower because of increased competition.
Because of perfect knowledge firms must keep up to date and innovate or they will be forced to leave
the industry.
In the long run all firms will earn normal profits.
Cartels and other restrictive agreements cannot emerge to exploit consumers.
Perfect competition can be used as a model in economic analysis.
Disadvantages of perfect competition
Firms have little time to benefit from inventions because they quickly enter the public domain.
Since firms make only normal profits they might not have the funds to undertake expensive research
that often yields the most outstanding discoveries.
Firms might not benefit from economies of large scale production.
In order to prevent abuse of the consumer, some industries are best run by the state as natural
monopolies and so perfect competition would be inappropriate.
Perfect competition is a goal that cannot be reached in the real world.

Tesco deploys its strategies based on 5 elements: international retailing, growing its core UK business,
growing in the food as well as non food sector, developing retail services, and considering the

Topographic Assessment of Taylor Mountain Regional Park The purpose of this assessment is to
understand all topographic factors concerning the past, present, and future of Taylor Mountain
Regional Park. The site is 4 acres in size and is located in Taylor Mountain Regional Park and Open
Space Preserve. The coordinates of the site, according to the USGS 1954 Santa Rosa Quadrangle
Map, are N 38 degrees 24 minutes and 30 seconds, W 122 degrees 41 minutes and 25 seconds (Figure
2). The entrance to the site is located at the 1900 section of Kawana Terrace, adjacent to the private

Through the northwestern portion of the site a manmade walking path has been established for
recreation purposes adjacent to the lowest point of the meadow. Despite there being a drainage culvert
for carrying rainwater under the pathway, there is noticeable erosion of the path itself, suggesting that
with ample rainfall such a culvert is insufficient, allowing rainwater to flow up and over the path
(Figure 8). This also draws into question the stability of the local area in terms of landslides and mass
wasting. Because the slope is greater than 25% it is very likely that mass wasting occurs in the area.
Slopes in the surrounding area are not steep enough for rock falls but with consistent heavy rainfall a
mudslide of clay and rock is possible, which could threaten recreational users of the park. Because
Taylor Mountain is a public open space preserve there is cause for concern when designing/building
structures associated with recreational use. Precautions must be taken when building to avoid hazards
of mass wasting and erosion. However, due to the nature of the preserve it is highly unlikely that any
type of large structure or septic system would be permitted. Noise pollution in this area is very mild
with only the occasional truck being heard on the 101 highway to the west. Unfortunately, a new fire
station is to be built within .6 miles and some local fauna may become disturbed by the wail of sirens.
Be advised that a sound barrier should be constructed around the fire station in order to minimize
disturbance of wildlife. One important note is that it was recommended in a biotic assessment that,
one of the proposed trails be removed from the plan (on Taylor Mountain) to avoid impacts to deer in
the oak woodland, and that another be realigned to avoid wetlands (Waaland, pg.1). In doing so further
