to defend themselves.

s not protecting the lives of its citizens, it is allowing excessive gun violence (by police forces) and it
has insufficient violations of guns by people who are not even supposed to possess guns. The US is

It s common to think that hard work is the key that will help people move up in the world, and that is
true for the most part. However what is one supposed to do when there s a roadblock that is difficult to
overcome? There are factors that may all together or by one at a time cause someone to not achieve
that pay that wish. Due to education and wealth, discrimination, worker abilities and monopoly power,
the opportunities of equal pay isn t always obtainable to workers.
First factor of income quality, not every citizen has the best education they can get for that high paying
job, and not many has the funds to get that job they really desire. In our world, not everything can be
as fair for those who strive for success. Consider this, many people start at working minimum wage
which is about nine dollar an hour. For one waitress addressed in a PBS news article by Paul Solman,
that one waitress only earned $2.13 an hour before taxes. It is stated by many who are struggling with
minimum wage that it is not enough to live on. As the cost of living increases, the minimum wage
becomes insufficient in covering bills and cost. As a result of this situation, there are inspiring students
who are unable to go further with their education and move up in life. Being stuck near the poverty
line creates a situation where as much as those workers desire to progress in their career, insufficient
funds and the lack of education keeps them from doing so as many higher paying jobs require

¬By definition, a Pagan is a person who has religious beliefs other than those of the main world
religion. The epic poem Beowulf was passed down verbally from generation to generation with
enlightening Pagan teachings and elements. Christian elements were not included in the poem until a
Christian monk added them when it was put as written text. However, the Christian aspects collide
with the Pagan elements found in the poem. Beowulf was originally told with only Pagan elements. In

Things such as magic, unnatural creatures, and strange scenarios play a huge role in their faith.
However, Christians believe that things such as dragons, witches, magic and the dark arts are of Satan.
While the Pagans view the dragon as a fire breathing, greedy creature keeping treasure in its lair, the
Christians view it as the devil making the setting of hell. The equivalent of Beowulf in the Christian

and Jesus Christ is when they both died to save other people. According to Christian belief, Christ was
crucified to save everyone from death. Beowulf was killed by the dragon in order to save someone
else and to calm his soul from the loss of his village. Christ also found his true followers when he was

Alinsky s rules for radicals were written by Saul Alinsky in 1972. The rules were created to develop a
process for organization. Alinsky s rules were broken into two different types, tactics with 13 rules and
ends and means with 11 rules. The four rules I chose to discuss were from the tactics list of rules.
Alinsky s rules for radicals are applicable in many ways and also are somewhat biased. The first rule I
chose was the seventh rule of tactics, Alinsky states, A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a
drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues. . I agree with the purpose of
this rule because people need variety in an organization or else they get bored. People need any kind
of variations of work that they can get within an organization over a prolonged period of time in order

I agree with this rule because we, as human beings, are prone to over complicate a simple situation.
For example, we look at a situation, we then get overwhelmed by it, then, when the situation is over,
we feel as though we shouldn t have been worried about the situation at all. A Biblical example of this

only take a couple bombs to destroy the US. This is not even counting wind carrying radioactive dirt
and dust miles away. If a bomb was dropped in the UK, people on the east coast of the US could suffer
radiation poisoning. Secondly, thermonuclear bombs, or hydrogen bombs, work by using the energy of

The present doctoral research project intends to analyze and study diversity in unity in the poetry of
Elizabeth Jennings who is the only woman poet of the 1950s The Movement. Unity is in a sense that
the poets of the 1950s have been classified under the common grouping The Movement. Unity implies
the traits, themes, sensibilities, techniques these nine Movement poets have in common. Here diversity
is in a sense that Jennings is the sole female poetess with her conviction in the dignity of being human
one driven by her Roman Catholic outlook among the unity of male Movement poets. Jennings being
a woman poet differs from her male counterparts in terms of theme, language, sensibility, conventions,
