The Missionary Church And Discipleship
Both articles are about the Innovated Church and Discipleship. The meaning of discipleship is found
in Luke 9:23 when Jesus said Then he said to them al: Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny
themselves and take up their cross daily, and follow me (NIV). Jesus called men into discipleship and
completed His mission with disciples. Placing Jesus first is the starting focus of a disciple, for if you
do not place Jesus first, you cannot truly be a follower. The term means that one would put themselves
and their needs to the side and attend to whatever needs the savior would ask of them, regardless of
cost. Just this starting concept would turn most lesser folk away but anyone who truly means to be
dedicated will, with some great ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jesus said that if you give up in this life material things and family for my sake you will receive a
hundred times as great or as much now and gaining eternal life. The consequences for signing up to be
a disciple is persecution. You contact states that you are a nonconformist to what the world offers and
you are on the way to sanctification. Reimar Schultze stated that We cannot become sanctified prior to
discipleship, even as we cannot cross an ocean prior to getting into a boat. The process of
sanctification only begins in discipleship.
Win, Grow, and Send There are 3 major concepts regarding being a disciple and making disciples: (1)
Win, (2) Grow, and (3) Send. These are the most important stages of discipleship. The first one is
winning of souls into the body of Christ. Winning represents the fact that there is a loser Satan. Being
in unification with the Holy Spirit, the disciple wins souls by telling the good news through
evangelism. Prayer is the first step in effective evangelism to win the lost souls. John 17:20 says,
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word (KJV).
Through prayer we offer ourselves for the lost, just as the Bible stated in John 15:13 Greater love hath
no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends (KJV). The next stage is growing or
developing disciple maker candidates. The disciple maker must build relationship,

Vulnerabilities Are Known As Security Holes That Exist
Vulnerabilities Vulnerabilities are known as security holes that exist in software, buffer flow is one
example which happens when the developer of a software product expects a certain amount of data,
for example 20 bytes of information, to be sent at a particular point in the operation of an agenda, but
fails to allow for an error circumstances where the user (or malicious attacker) sends a great deal more
data, or unexpected (perhaps special) characters. Vulnerabilities occurs in software running on PC s,
servers, communications equipment such as routers, or almost any device running software. Not all

These viruses contain their own e mail server, so that they can replicate by sending email to all mail
addresses that they harvest from the system. Worms An example of a worm is the Blaster worm,
which rapidly spread through the Internet in August 2003. Blaster targeted computers running
Windows operating systems, and used a vulnerability in Remote Procedure Call (RPC) code. Blaster
affected computers running Windows 2003 operating system, Windows NT 4.0, Windows NT 4.0
Terminal Services Edition, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. After compromising hundreds of
thousands of systems, Blaster launched a distributed denial of service attack on a Microsoft Windows
update site. Trojan horses As the name implies, these are software programs that are put onto target
systems (whether by a direct hack, or as the result of a virus or worm) that have a malicious intent.
The Trojan can capture passwords, or provide root access to the system remotely.
Denial of service attacks (DoS) A denial of service attack attempts to put the condition will often times
try to compromise many PC s, and use them to amplify the attack volume, and to hide his or her tracks
as well. This is called a Distributed Denial of Service Attack (DDoS). Denial of service attacks have
now become a well known criminal activity. In an online form of the protection racket (pay us some

HYPOTHESIS * Banana peel contains potassium which can be use to provide an energy juice drink.
OBJECTIVE * To be able to used what is unused * To be able to know how effective banana peel is,
as an energy provide
SIGNIFICANCE OF SUDY * The banana itself is best known for its abundance of potassium, but the
banana peel also contains very high amounts of essential mineral. The banana peel contains about 40%
of the total potassium content found in the entire banana , incoming the peel has almost as much
potassium as the banana itself, according to today s herbal health potassium is important for your
heart, kidneys, muscles, nerves and digestive system to work properly. It is also important for the
water balance in cells throughout your body.
SCOPE AND LIMITATION * The scope and limitation of our research is the banana itself, although
banana is connected on our research, but it is not the one we investigate though. The objective in our
research is to be resourceful, and use the thing which we think has a less value and we all know,
banana has still lots of uses so its limits our research in this investigatory project. DEFINITION OF

Liberation of Korea
Korea had been a colony of Japan since 1910. Along with the surrender of Japan in the World War II
in 1945, the colonial period that had lasted for 35 years ended. As one can imagine, Korean people
were extraordinarily happy when the Japanese announced surrender, since they could eventually get
rid of the harsh days of the language deprivation that they were forced to abandon Korean and adopt
Japanese, and of family members having been sent overseas to serve the Japanese in all manners
including being comfort women, and so forth. However, they did not know the Liberation was the
start of another catastrophic period of time. The political vacuum engaged the United States and the
Soviets who then occupied the peninsula, and caused a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This kind of discontent did not seem to happen in the south. The Joint Commission did not function
effectively since the relation between the United States and the Soviets was going downwards. The
original intention of establishing a unified provisional Korean government was no longer a mutual aim
of the two powers. Eventually, the southern government, Republic of Korea (ROK), led by Syngman
Rhee, and the northern government, Democratic People s Republic of Korea (DPRK), led by Kim Il
Sung, were respectively inaugurated on 15th August 1948 and 3rd September 1948. It has been more
than sixty years already and the unification is still not yet accomplished. After the establishment of the
separate governments, the Soviets and the United States withdrew their forces from Korea. In the first
years of the states, the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People s Republic Korea has dissimilar
evolution. Social revolutions were carried on in the DPRK while political instability took place in the
south. In the DPRK the people were provided with better living standard and all sort of political rights

Men s Separate Dining Kitchen By Virginia Woolf
Virginia Woolf compares and contrasts two menus at the men and women s separate dining halls to
bring attention to subtle hints of variances in social class, the diners sense of urgency or lack thereof
and their comfort level at their segregated dinner parties. Woolf discusses the unfair treatment of
women when she recounts the monotonous environment of which the women dined compared to the
glorious mouth watering festivity that was the men s meal. Woolf contrasts the menu of the men s
meal that s brilliance pops in and out upon their lips to the dry biscuits and dissatisfying rumps of
cattle in a muddy market that the women were served to show women s place in society. The author
also compares the sense of urgency between the two dining halls. In passage two she uses descriptions
such as violently and emptied. Meanwhile, in passage one, she uses statements such as, no need to
hurry, no need to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In passage one, the food seems to be more elegant and expensive, and catered to people of a higher
social class. For example, in passage one the dinners are served salmon, duckling, wine, tapioca, and
partridges. The author also calls attention to the cutlery and dinnerware used in the passages by using
statements such as flushed yellow and flushed crimson to describe the wine glasses, or the food being
served sunk in a deep dish . Another instance of the stark social class division is indicated in the men s
dining hall; dinner is served by a silent servingman. In contrast, in the women s dining hall they are
left to serve themselves. In comparison to passage two she states the diners are eating plain gravy
soup, dry biscuits and cheese, prunes and custard. Passing around a water jug . Eating off of plain
plates. Drawing the conclusion of food, cutlery, and dinnerware that at are cheaper and easier to access

Examples Of The Horned Man Paradox
In every society, people ask questions that seem as though there are only two answers to, but neither
of which are accurate. The Horned Man paradox is a great example of this complex question. The
question asked can be answered with it is true or it is false, but what happens when the responder has
never experienced what the question being asked? The responder must then answer indirectly to try
and explain him/herself, which can make their answer seem invalid. A good example of this is the
question, Are you still beating your wife? because it implies that one either does beat one s wife or use
to but no longer beats one s wife. What if one does not even have a wife? Or what if one does have a
wife but never beat her? This seemingly true or false question actually requires a more intricate
answer that the responder must think and realize before they blurt out an answer. ... Show more

You have not lost your horns. Therefore, you still have your horns (Sorensen). This statement implies
that one has horns to begin with when, in fact, one may not have horns. But one appears to have to
answer this paradox with the conclusion I still have horns if one has not lost one s horns because of
the way the paradox is stated. In this situation, if lost means no longer has, but had then not lost means
the opposite, still has and never had to begin with (Slater). It forces a person to say an answer that may

Symbols In The Robber Bride
The Robber Bride is a Margaret Atwood novel first published by McClelland and Stewart in 1993. Set
in present day Toronto, Ontario, the novel begins with three women (Roz, Charis, and Tony) who meet
once a month in a restaurant to share a meal.
the book tells a story of four female characters. Here, it is a friendship between four little girls
growing up together in Toronto suburbs, in the 1940s.
The Robber Bride is a story of three women who had been friends since university. But, there is also a
fourth woman in the story, Zenia, one who is every wife s curse. The men s role is ancillary, if not
subordinate.
Men are depicted as invisible fathers. Fathers like a dotted line, which has to be coloured in for their
children by their women. They sleep with their arms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reader sometimes wonders whether she is real a person or fantasy. Is she a symbol of the
catastrophe and darkness of life, and that of the endless wars that we must fight to preserve what is
precious to us? But, Zenia s battles with the three women, which leave all of them deeply and
permanently scarred, are the story.
The Robber Bride is a memorable and a compelling read. As a parable, the story is remarkably
powerful. Though it is written in a simple style, its message is profound. I doubt if any of Miss
Atwood s novels can match The Robber Bride. What keeps the reader engrossed is Margaret Atwood s
consummate skill as a storyteller and the flowing narrative of the novel.
During their most recent outing, three friends see Zenia, a long dead university classmate who had
stolen, one by one, their respective beaux. The novel alternates between the present and flashbacks
featuring the points of view of Tony, Charis, and Roz, respectively. Zenia has given each woman a
different version of her biography, tailor made to insinuate herself into their lives. No one version of
Zenia is the truth, and the reader knows no more than the

CLINICAL MANIFESTATION Enlarged hands and feet are common feature with acromegaly. People
with this disorder often notice that they can no longer put on rings that used to fit and that their shoe
size has progressively increased. Gradual changes in the shape of their face, such as a protruding
lower jaw and brow, an enlarged nose, thickened lips, and wider spacing between the teeth can also be
noted (Z. Killinger, J. Payer, I. Lazúrová et al 2010). Because it tends to progress slowly, early signs
may not be readily apparent for several years. Sometimes, people notice the condition only by

The liver produces a hormone called insulin like growth factor I (IGF I) when GH is secreted into the
blood stream. This result in the growth of bones and other tissues. If the pituitary gland makes too
much GH, excessive amounts of IGF I can result leading to abnormal growth of the soft tissues and
skeleton and other signs and symptoms characteristic of acromegaly and gigantism. In adults, a tumor
is the most common cause of too much GH production: Pituitary tumors. Most cases of acromegaly
are caused by a noncancerous tumor of the pituitary gland. Secretion of excessive amounts of growth
hormone causes the signs and symptoms of acromegaly. Symptoms such as headaches and impaired
vision are resultant of the tumor mass pressing on nearby brain tissues. Tumors in other parts of the
body, such as the lungs, pancreas or adrenal glands can also cause acromegaly in few people. These
tumors are from non pituitary origin which sometimes secrete GH. In some cases, the tumors produce
a hormone called growth hormone releasing hormone (GH RH) which stimulates the pituitary to make

Living With Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Essay
Can you imagine walking down the street passing a building, and not being able to go on your way

takes you about one and a half to two hours to leave because you keep checking and checking to make
sure the windows and doors are locked? These are just a few examples of how people may act who
have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). People that have OCD find it hard to lead normal lives.

The PET scans show that patients that have OCD show a change in the striatum area of the brain when
behavioral therapy and medication are given. Maybe with this new information on the cause of OCD,
physicians may be able to treat it easier and with greater success. Commonality of OCD among the
population of the United States does not seem substantial when compared to other illnesses. About 3.3
million people in the U.S. between the ages of 18 54 have OCD in a given year. (NIMH 2000.) This
translates into roughly 2.3 percent of the population. Studies show that OCD affects women and men
about equally. The ratio of men to women with OCD not being that significant in either direction to
give it solely to one gender. This is unusual because most illnesses tend to favor one gender or the
other. Typically OCD starts in early adolescence, but is written of by parents as abnormal or unusual
behavior and the thought that the child will grow out of it. At least one third of the cases of adult OCD
began in childhood. This shows if caught soon enough and treated OCD might not have been a life
long battle for some clients. In 1990 the U.S. paid out a total of 8.4 million dollars for treatment of
clients with OCD. This was nearly 6 percent of the total mental health bill of 148 billion dollars.
(NIMH 2000.) OCD doesn t just affect the adult population either. Approximately one million children

Superiority In The Iliad
In the Homer s The Iliad, each soldier s main aspiration is to go down in history as a fierce defender of
their country. To achieve this status, they must exhibit unceasing bravery and persistence to a higher
degree than all other warriors. However, while attempting to build an image of fortitude, soldiers are
forced to rid themselves of all humanity they possess. To maintain an image of superiority over their
peers, fighters are required to constantly intimidate and degrade those around them. Commanders of
the war use this same method of terrorization by insulting their soldiers and using their men s fear of
death to assert authority over their armies. In order to be accepted by their leaders, warriors are
expected to take countless lives ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As every battle presents a daunting challenge, leaders constantly find their armies exhausted and
weary from the hardships of war. While attempting to raise their men s moral, commanders often
threaten their soldiers with the thought of gruesome death. Leaders intimidate their soldiers in order to
maintain their authority and make it clear that they expect each man to fight their hardest. As the
Trojans are being pushed back by the Greeks, Hector asserts his power over his men by saying to
them, If I catch any man hanging back on this side/ He s dead on the spot with no family funeral (15.
355). Commanders often use their renowned reputations to build an image of superiority over their
soldiers. Since the leaders are distinguished warriors, they use this credibility to terrify their men and
force them to remain allegiant to the army. While the Trojan army approaches the Greek trench,
Hector uses his renowned reputation to control his men by telling them that if they are lagging during
battle they will lose [their] life at the point of [his] spear (12. 255 257). Commanders control over
their soldiers relies greatly on their image among the men they command, requiring them to uphold a
perception of ruthless power and heavy handed authority in order maintain influence over their

Sequential Art Rhetorical Analysis
Rhetoric in Sequential Art When the word sequential art comes to mind, many people would
automatically assume some elaborate work of art that belongs in an art museum, but at a baseline
sequential art can be your average comic book or comic strip. This isn t to say that they shouldn t be in
an art museum because the work displayed in them is phenomenal and in some ways, can surpass your
stereotypical piece of art, but most people consider them childish, a waste of time, or something that
could never be taken seriously. In reality comics and other forms of sequential art do something that
many pieces of art cannot do. They can combine the beauty or simplicity behind art, with a
phenomenal storyline that everyone can understand. What is even ... Show more content on

When thinking about a novel, one of the most commonly used rhetorical tools used is imagery. When
a scene is important for the sake of the plot or important to the author, the author works hard to bring
the reader into the world that they see the action happening in. The same can be said of the
presentation of a certain sequence within a piece of sequential art. Whereas a square can be seen as an
ordinary frame for a comic, when the art is put into any other shape, it now stands out as important to
the reader and they are more inclined to noticed more detail within the scene or frame. The same
effect applies within the Narmer Palette and its presentation on the stone tablet that it is carved on.
The main parts of the story are in giant panels, framed in a large rectangle and surrounded by the
Egyptian goddess Bat, a cow goddess who was prevalent in the Old and Middle Kingdoms of Egypt.
The goddess was told to have two faces, one able to see to the past and the other to see towards the
future, hence why the face of a cow appears twice on each panel of significance. For many who were
to look upon the palette it would be a sign of a blessing, significance, and greatness. This particular
style of detail can be considered a rhetorical device because of its purpose towards the main theme of

Similarities And Differences Between Robert E. Lee
General War
It no secret that General Ulysses S. Grant and General Robert E. Lee had their differences. Ranging
from appearance to actions they hardly shared any similarities. This makes them both easily
comparable. Both had their ups and their downs, but in the end, General Robert E. Lee was the best
general overall.
Let us start somewhere easy, let us start with their appearances. Lee stood at a 5 ft. 11 in., weighing
175 lbs., and Grant stood under him at 5ft. 7 in., weighing 140 lbs. While Lee was compared in size to
the great Abraham Lincoln, it has been said that Grant had to stand on a stool just to address other
soldiers. As for their attire Lee was always seen in a perfect uniform. His jacket pressed, complete
with a sash, general s sword, hat, white gloves, and shined boots. Grant on the other hand always look
disheveled. He wore a simple private s uniform with general insignia added on, complete with a jacket
that looked slept in. Many people accredit this look saying that His mind was too busy on winning the
war than on looking presentable. His personal account of how he came to this shows more, I was
impatient to get on my uniform and see how it looked, and probably wanted my old school mates,
particularly the girls, to see me in it. The conceit was knocked out of me by two little circumstances
that happened soon after the arrival of the clothes, which gave me a distaste for military uniform that I
never recovered from. Being presentable was something

Essay on African American Representation in Show Boat
The evolution of musical theater in America can be viewed through many lenses. Through the lens of
hindsight, it is easy to reflect on the treatment and portrayal of African Americans in the contextual
fruition of live entertainment in the United States. Dating back to the later half to the nineteenth and
into the early twentieth century, ethnic representation in musical theater underwent a gradual change
paralleling a shift in societal opinion toward racial equality. Though by today s standards, its depiction
of African Americans may seem archaic at best, Show Boat changed the way audiences viewed
musical theater through its success as the first show to deal with racial issues in the United States. In

In her doctoral dissertation, Katherine Axtell examines Show Boat from its novel origins to its
inception and creation as a work of musical theater. It is clear from her analysis that even though
Hammerstein and Kern may not have intended Show Boat to be about race, it was still at the forefront
of their minds. Axtell states, sources...strongly suggest that, page for page and line for line, the
composer and librettist expended the greatest energy on the development of material for the romantic
leads, Magnolia and Ravenal; that they took inspiration...from contemporary African American
musical theater. 6 Axtell also cites Todd Decker, who in 2007 included Show Boat in a larger study of
black white encounters in selected American stage and film musicals... Decker argues that Kern and
Hammerstein concentrated, from the beginning of their collaboration, on the development of
interracial encounters and the creation of such numbers as Can t Help Lovin; Dat Man and Ol Man

It was, in fact, Ol Man River that many believed to be the highlight of the show. Sung by the African

Ocean Pollution Causes
The Causes of Ocean Pollution Ocean Pollution has been occurring for years. It is important because
trash and toxic substances are harmful to humans and animals. Animals are continuously dying either
by being choked from trash caught around their neck or them mistaking it for food. Humans are
responsible for overfishing. There is less fish species due to overfishing. Ocean Pollution is caused by
people, natural disasters and animals. When looking at the ocean pollution caused by people it impacts
animals and ourselves as humans. For many years, the unregulated dumping of chemicals, toxins and
other waste directly into lakes, rivers, streams and oceans triggered disease and other risks to humans
and wildlife(Calhoun 89). This can affect ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If seabirds and marine life keep dying from eating cast off garbage they will eventually become
extinct. The dumping of toxic liquids in the ocean directly affects the marine life as they are
considered hazardous and secondly, they raise the temperature of the ocean, known as thermal
pollution, as the temperature of these liquids is quite high(causes and effects). Toxic liquids are not
good for the water, humans and marine life. The temperature of the ocean is highly affected by carbon
dioxide and climate changes, which impacts primarily the ecosystems and fish communities that live
in the ocean(causes and effects). Too much carbon dioxide is a bad thing because too much can make
the water warmer than it should be. Landfills urban runoff, ocean dumpsites, ocean vessels and the
dumping of fossil fuel are just a few of the pathways that lead to the oceans(Calhoun 109). All these
pathways to pollution are making it unsafe for marine life to be in the water. The release of other
chemical nutrients into the ocean s ecosystem leads to reductions in oxygen levels, the decay of plant
life, a severe decline in the quality of the seawater itself(causes and effects). The less oxygen there is
in the water, the harder it will be for marine life to breathe and the harder it will be for plants to grow.
Sewage or polluting substances flow through rivers or drainages directly into the ocean(causes and

United States Of America For Multiple Years
Health care has been an issue for the United States of America for multiple years. Dental care, a topic
that does not get much attention because people believe it is trivial, plays a major part in people s
lives, particularly children. Gerard van Honthorst s The Tooth Puller shows a dentist pulling a patient s
tooth with five observers watching. Van Honthorst shows how in awe or scared people are of the
dentist. There is a negative outlook on dentists and dental care: people are afraid of the dentist giving
them their negative connotation, while dental care only causes pain in many people eyes. There is a
problem in the health care system and improvement in the system is needed because health care is a
right for every citizen, especially dental care. The United States of America s government should
allow dental therapist to conduct the procedure that normal dentist conduct for free for children under
the age of twelve. The government should fund the teaching, training, and employment of dental

celebrations and customs related to the day have evolved over the years.
Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ, who was believed to be the saviour of mankind. Christmas
has always been one of the favourite times of the year for everyone through out the world. The
magical events of Christmas are believed to hold each and everyone s heart with joy and freshness.
These magical events have been recreated in the many traditions followed during Christmas. The
Christmas tree, the star, Santa Claus and the ginger bread man are some traditions that all combine to
form the spirit of Christmas.
The traditions of Christmas have been aggregated from over half a dozen cultures and accumulated
over the centuries. An in depth look in into its tradition, and one is moved with all the sentiments,
symbols and meaning associated with Christmas. All of which combine to give a touch of liveliness
and harmony to the season of celebrations. However, no matter which part of the world you are in, the

try soup that can be made in a short amount of time is chilled avocado soup. This cold soup has a

Process until everything starts to come together.
Slowly add the water until the soup thins out a bit. The goal is a smooth consistency.
Taste and season with more salt and black pepper if needed.
Ladle into bowls and serve with crostini. Garnish the soup with fresh mint if desired.
This soup utilizes affordable, fresh ingredients in the best way possible. It has depth and complexity
without coming across as too bold or overwhelming. The aspect of this soup that really allows it to
shine is the cold temperature. Serving it chilled actually brings out the flavors of the ingredients and
melds them together really nicely. The crostini adds a lot to the soup as well by adding some texture
variation. Cold creamy soup on toasted bread appeals to everyone s tastes buds. When you have some

Examples Of Chivalry In Beowulf
Some say chivalry is dead , I don t think so. Chivalry is a code of conduct governing a knight s

example of braver was , He could see how his king was suffering ... Wiglaf mind was made up ; he
raised his yellow shield and drew his sword. in the story Wiglaf went back to help his king fight, that

chivalry is loyalty, in the story we read called Le Monte d Arthur, an example of loyalty was My lords,

Stately Home In Elizabethan England
The main reason for building a stately home in Elizabethan times was to demonstrate the successful
career of its owner How far does the study of Hardwick Hall support this statement?
Elizabeth Talbot, Countess of Shrewsbury or simply Bess of Hardwick was one of the most notable
figures in Elizabethan society made rich by four beneficial marriages and her investments in glass and
mining. Her stately home Hardwick Hall is the prime example of the upper tier of Elizabethan society.
How they presented themselves, how they lived and how they advertised their wealth. But to what
extent does the building tell us about the purpose of other stately homes and the impression the owners
are trying to make? To answer this question, we will look at the reasons Hardwick Hall is as it is, what
Bess is trying to convey or prove. Namely, her wealth, intellect and pedigree. Her right to be where
she is, the cutting of ties to her lesser life and the importance of herself in the Shrewsbury dynasty.

A Brief History And Analysis Of Portrayal Of Women Essay

Dr. Michael I. Niman
SPC 333
5 December 2016 A Brief History and Analysis of the Portrayal of Women in Magazines Throughout
history women have been depicted and treated as an inferior to the male all aspects of life. It is
without debate, that to this day, like many other countries, the United States of America is a
patriarchal society, valuing men over women and using various tactics to oppress women by
constructing gender roles. These gender roles are thrust upon people before birth and are reinforced
through society within the media. This object here is to provide an overview of the portrayal of
women in magazines from the late 1800 s to present day. As the years progress, so do the number of
women s rights. While women are still fighting for equality, the birth of feminism has done much to
close the gender gap. Mass media, magazines in particular, facilitated in fostering a stereotype which
became the standard, and continues to be, used by society. A society that continues to oppress and
suppress its women. However, as the mass media has the capability to demystify, or to bring down
and/or destroy a particular group or person, they also have the ability of mystification, or emulating a
person or group into society s graces. I plan to review how women were portrayed since this country s
inception with an analysis of how gender equality might be possible today.

Theory of Demographic Transition Essay
The Theory of Demographic Transition
Demography is the study of the components of population variation and change. Death rate and birth
rate are two determinants of population change. Theory of Demographic Transition is comparatively
recent theory that has been accepted by several scholars throughout the world. This theory embraces
the observation that all countries in the world go through different stages in the growth of population.
A nation s economy and level of development is directly related to that nation s birth and death rates.
Population history can be divided into different stages. Some of the scholars have divided it into three
and some scholars have divided it into five stages. These stages or classifications demonstrate a ...

But the death rate exceeds the birth rate, which triggers the population increasing very slowly or
almost stable. In this stage, birth rate becomes high due to less use of contraception and sterilization.
Most of the people do survive in agriculture where the children are considered as economic assets and
so people are encouraged to get many children. Similarly death rate becomes high due to diseases,
natural calamities, wars, etc. Infant death rate is also found very high. Because of poor health facilities
provided by the state to the people, lack of clean water and sanitation and food shortage, health of the
people will be weak so that the people will depart the life in high numbers. Before 1920, China and
India were at this stage (Raj, H. 2003). This stage is generally found in the countries where people
depend on agriculture as a main source of surviving. At present, the countries like Nigeria, Ethiopia,
Tanzania, Angola, etc. are passing through this stage (Raj, H.2003)
The Early Expanding Stage:
This is the second stage of the Theory of Demographic Transition. In this stage, birth rate does not
come down from the High Stationary Stage but death rate gets very much declined, which triggers
very rapid growth in the population change. In this stage, the nation provides the better public health
services to the people so that the people will not depart from the life so rapidly, and the declining in

Autism Spectrum Disorder ( Asd ) Essay
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a range of conditions grouped under the neurodevelopmental
disorders in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM 5) published in 2013
(Kress Paylo, 2015). Those who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder must present two types
of symptoms: 1) Deficits in social communication and social interaction and 2) Restricted, repetitive
patterns of behavior, interests or activities (APA, 2013). The DSM 5 merged all autism disorders into
one diagnosis of ASD. Before this publication, they were organized as distinct subtypes, which
included autistic disorder, childhood disintegrative disorder, pervasive developmental disorder not
otherwise specified (PDD NOS) and Asperger syndrome (Kress Paylo, 2015).
The Current Understanding of Disorder and Causes
Autism may be connected to early brain development but notable signs and symptoms of the disorder
have the propensity to manifest around 1 3 years old (APA, 2013). This disorder can at times be linked
to intellectual disability, motor coordination and attention difficulties as well as physical health issues
including sleep and gastrointestinal disturbances (CITE).
Researchers have found that ASD appears to follow two likely developmental courses, the first
development being a gradual progression, parents describe growing or potential concerns in
development over the first two years of life and diagnosis is made around 3 4 years old. Potential early

Sexism In Pygmalion
Pygmalion in Greek mythology was a Cypriot sculptor who constructed a woman out of ivory and
named her Galatea. According to Ovid s translation, after seeing the Propoetides prostituting
themselves in public for their defiance against the gods, he became uninterested in women; however
his statue was so beautiful and realistic that he fell in love with it. After a short time, Aphrodite s
festival day came, and Pygmalion made several offerings at the shrine of Aphrodite. Pygmalion was
too scared to admit his true desire at the altar, so he quietly wished for a bride who would be the living
likeness of my ivory girl . When he returned home, he kissed his Galatea, and found that the statue s
lips felt warm. He kissed it again and found that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author shows his feminist side as he has Eliza stand up for her self and break out of the traditional
position of women in the era. This brings a very feminist, free thinking theme to the play that
challenges the audience to break the usual traditions of England s segregated, unofficial caste system
of a society. In Shaw s display against inequality and sexism, there is another theme that must be kept
in mind. When thinking about how to achieve equality between the sexes, it has to be taken into
consideration that true equality does not necessarily come from being treated equally. In order for
equality to be achieved, we must feel equal to one another. This feeling comes from making the effort
to meet the needs of all people so that they can reach a point in life where they feel dignified, and feel
as though they have the ability and the will power to work to raise themselves up in society.
The amount of character development in Pygmalion, the characters help to make the play seem more
realistic and interesting due to each character s complex and individual personality. Each one
contributes to the play s over all message in a different way. For example, Professor

The meaning of discipleship is found in Luke 9:23 when Jesus said Then he said to them al: Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily, and follow me (NIV). Jesus called men into discipleship and completed His mission with disciples. Placing Jesus first is the starting focus of a disciple, for if you do not place Jesus first, you cannot truly be a follower. The term means that one would put themselves and their needs to the side and attend to whatever needs the savior would ask of them, regardless of cost. Just this starting concept would turn most lesser folk away but anyone who truly means to be dedicated will, with some great ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jesus said that if you give up in this life material things and family for my sake you will receive a hundred times as great or as much now and gaining eternal life. The consequences for signing up to be a disciple is persecution. You contact states that you are a nonconformist to what the world offers and you are on the way to sanctification. Reimar Schultze stated that We cannot become sanctified prior to discipleship, even as we cannot cross an ocean prior to getting into a boat. The process of sanctification only begins in discipleship. Win, Grow, and Send There are 3 major concepts regarding being a disciple and making disciples: (1) Win, (2) Grow, and (3) Send. These are the most important stages of discipleship. The first one is winning of souls into the body of Christ. Winning represents the fact that there is a loser Satan. Being in unification with the Holy Spirit, the disciple wins souls by telling the good news through evangelism. Prayer is the first step in effective evangelism to win the lost souls. John 17:20 says, Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word (KJV). Through prayer we offer ourselves for the lost, just as the Bible stated in John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends (KJV). The next stage is growing or developing disciple maker candidates. The disciple maker must build relationship, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As one can imagine, Korean people were extraordinarily happy when the Japanese announced surrender, since they could eventually get rid of the harsh days of the language deprivation that they were forced to abandon Korean and adopt Japanese, and of family members having been sent overseas to serve the Japanese in all manners including being comfort women, and so forth. • 8. Men s Separate Dining Kitchen By Virginia Woolf Virginia Woolf compares and contrasts two menus at the men and women s separate dining halls to bring attention to subtle hints of variances in social class, the diners sense of urgency or lack thereof and their comfort level at their segregated dinner parties. Woolf discusses the unfair treatment of women when she recounts the monotonous environment of which the women dined compared to the glorious mouth watering festivity that was the men s meal. Woolf contrasts the menu of the men s meal that s brilliance pops in and out upon their lips to the dry biscuits and dissatisfying rumps of cattle in a muddy market that the women were served to show women s place in society. Another instance of the stark social class division is indicated in the men s dining hall; dinner is served by a silent servingman. In contrast, in the women s dining hall they are left to serve themselves. In comparison to passage two she states the diners are eating plain gravy soup, dry biscuits and cheese, prunes and custard. The Horned Man paradox is a great example of this complex question. The question asked can be answered with it is true or it is false, but what happens when the responder has never experienced what the question being asked? The responder must then answer indirectly to try and explain him/herself, which can make their answer seem invalid. A good example of this is the question, Are you still beating your wife? because it implies that one either does beat one s wife or use to but no longer beats one s wife. • 10. Symbols In The Robber Bride The Robber Bride is a Margaret Atwood novel first published by McClelland and Stewart in 1993. Set in present day Toronto, Ontario, the novel begins with three women (Roz, Charis, and Tony) who meet once a month in a restaurant to share a meal. the book tells a story of four female characters. Here, it is a friendship between four little girls growing up together in Toronto suburbs, in the 1940s. The Robber Bride is a story of three women who had been friends since university. But, there is also a fourth woman in the story, Zenia, one who is every wife s curse. The men s role is ancillary, if not subordinate. Men are depicted as invisible fathers. Is she a symbol of the catastrophe and darkness of life, and that of the endless wars that we must fight to preserve what is precious to us? But, Zenia s battles with the three women, which leave all of them deeply and permanently scarred, are the story. The Robber Bride is a memorable and a compelling read. As a parable, the story is remarkably powerful. Though it is written in a simple style, its message is profound. I doubt if any of Miss Atwood s novels can match The Robber Bride. What keeps the reader engrossed is Margaret Atwood s consummate skill as a storyteller and the flowing narrative of the novel. During their most recent outing, three friends see Zenia, a long dead university classmate who had stolen, one by one, their respective beaux. The novel alternates between the present and flashbacks featuring the points of view of Tony, Charis, and Roz, respectively. Maybe with this new information on the cause of OCD, physicians may be able to treat it easier and with greater success. Commonality of OCD among the population of the United States does not seem substantial when compared to other illnesses. About 3.3 million people in the U.S. between the ages of 18 54 have OCD in a given year. (NIMH 2000.) This translates into roughly 2.3 percent of the population. Studies show that OCD affects women and men about equally. The ratio of men to women with OCD not being that significant in either direction to give it solely to one gender. This is unusual because most illnesses tend to favor one gender or the other. Typically OCD starts in early adolescence, but is written of by parents as abnormal or unusual behavior and the thought that the child will grow out of it. At least one third of the cases of adult OCD began in childhood. This shows if caught soon enough and treated OCD might not have been a life long battle for some clients. In 1990 the U.S. paid out a total of 8.4 million dollars for treatment of clients with OCD. This was nearly 6 percent of the total mental health bill of 148 billion dollars. (NIMH 2000.) When thinking about a novel, one of the most commonly used rhetorical tools used is imagery. When a scene is important for the sake of the plot or important to the author, the author works hard to bring the reader into the world that they see the action happening in. The same can be said of the presentation of a certain sequence within a piece of sequential art. Whereas a square can be seen as an ordinary frame for a comic, when the art is put into any other shape, it now stands out as important to the reader and they are more inclined to noticed more detail within the scene or frame. The same effect applies within the Narmer Palette and its presentation on the stone tablet that it is carved on. The main parts of the story are in giant panels, framed in a large rectangle and surrounded by the Egyptian goddess Bat, a cow goddess who was prevalent in the Old and Middle Kingdoms of Egypt. The goddess was told to have two faces, one able to see to the past and the other to see towards the future, hence why the face of a cow appears twice on each panel of significance. Lee was the best general overall. Let us start somewhere easy, let us start with their appearances. Lee stood at a 5 ft. 11 in., weighing 175 lbs., and Grant stood under him at 5ft. 7 in., weighing 140 lbs. While Lee was compared in size to the great Abraham Lincoln, it has been said that Grant had to stand on a stool just to address other soldiers. As for their attire Lee was always seen in a perfect uniform. His jacket pressed, complete with a sash, general s sword, hat, white gloves, and shined boots. Grant on the other hand always look disheveled. He wore a simple private s uniform with general insignia added on, complete with a jacket that looked slept in. Many people accredit this look saying that His mind was too busy on winning the war than on looking presentable. It is without debate, that to this day, like many other countries, the United States of America is a patriarchal society, valuing men over women and using various tactics to oppress women by constructing gender roles. Similarly death rate becomes high due to diseases, natural calamities, wars, etc. Infant death rate is also found very high. Autism Spectrum Disorder ( Asd ) Essay Autism Spectrum Disorder Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a range of conditions grouped under the neurodevelopmental disorders in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM 5) published in 2013 (Kress Paylo, 2015). Those who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder must present two types of symptoms: 1) Deficits in social communication and social interaction and 2) Restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests or activities (APA, 2013). The DSM 5 merged all autism disorders into one diagnosis of ASD.
