The Relation Between Stalin And Hitler
Throughout the course of history, a vast quantity of dictators left their impression on the world as we
know it today, each having gained notoriety as a result of their rapid rise to power and their infamous
dynamisms which made them who they are known to be.
The two most notable leaders in history who express such qualities are Joseph Stalin of the Soviet
Union, and Adolf Hitler from the German Nazi regime, and these two men, different as they were,
displayed symmetric roles throughout their times in control.
The relation between Stalin and Hitler begins with their anonymously parallel childhoods. While

Intergenerational Upward Mobility
Nanay (Mother), a 2009 testimonial play on verbatim research interview transcripts of Geraldine Pratt
in collaboration with the Philippine Women Centre and Filipino Canadian Youth Alliance on Filipino
Live In Caregivers (LCP) of British Columbia, tells one story, among others, of a young woman who
was left behind in the Philippines in the care f her father. Her monologue highlights her urge to drop
out of high school, the conflict she has with her mother, and her compromised future. Though she was
pursuing a university study in the Philippines, her education ambitions shrank in Canada. Rather, she

This structural approach suggests that the low educational outcomes of Filipino youths in Canada is an
effect of their mother s migration pathway through the LCP, which is inevitably exacerbated by
economic, familial, social, and cultural expectations and factors that are complex and multifaceted.
They were left behind children when they lived in the Philippines and they then are prone to becoming
left behind students in Canada due to these intersecting factors. This idea suggests the need to bridge
the gap in studying the separation of mothers and children (left behind) and their settlement or family

Home Builder Research Paper
A Baiter is a Builder that will cite a strangely low cost for each square foot dollar sum. The low cost
per square foot snatches your consideration. The strategy/ploy then lures you to contact the Custom

What are the Ensure things to do while selecting a Maryland Custom Home Builder?
1) Make Sure that the cost cited by ANY Maryland Custom Home Builder is ALL comprehensive.
This incorporates, yet is not restricted to, ALL of the grants, ALL of the vital site work (garage,

Introduction
One of the most important skills to have in the chemistry lab is the understanding of how chemicals
will react. Knowing for example, how a chemical will react with a metal, is an excellent way of
determining the amount of a particular metal in a deposit. This knowledge was used in this lab to
determine the amount of copper in an unknown sample mixture. It is also known that the
determination of the percent concentration of a certain solution, will directly effect the percent
transmission and absorption of a solution, dependent upon its dilution. By first testing known
concentrations of a solution, and plotting this information graphically, a line is formed ... Show more

The Silent Scene In Hamlet And William Shakespeare s Hamlet
Shakespeare was an intelligent man, he wrote characters with ideas in his mind of how they should be
played, some directors and actors do not respect that. In a comparison of three different film
adaptations of the play Hamlet, the famous To be or not to be speech is often butchered and destroyed
with no respect for the original material. Music, scenery, and acting are are vital to the scene and how
viewers may understand and appreciate the work and characters in it. Often neglected, it is up to
watchers to decide whether or not the work was enjoyable, there are many reasons for those opinions
to sway in a certain direction. Olivier, Tennant, and Branagh all had their take at the scene, and in
comparison, only one managed to impress and match the stature of the original text. Olivier s
portrayal of the To be or not to be soliloquy was utterly atrocious. With the age of the film taken into
consideration, it still manages to fail at nearly every aspect and disappoint as much as possible. The
strongest point, which in comparison is not strong at all, would have to be the music and sound or lack
thereof. The silence definitely is akin to Hamlet s depression and his quiet speaking is attempting to
add to that though failing miserably. A quiet scene is something which can definitely add the feeling of
a character s struggle when done correctly which this was not, leading to an awkwardly quiet scene.
The film starts to degrade even further with the scenery. Certainly a cliff

Analysis Of Down These Mean Streets
Down These Mean Streets
Down These Mean Streets is novel written by Piri Thomas, he writes about his life as a child growing
up in New York during the 1930s. However, since his parents were Puerto Rican immigrants he was
doing very well in his new environment. He couldn t make any friends, since the other kids made fun
of him because of his race and his family didn t have a lot of money since his parents were unable to
find a job. He wrote this story as an autobiography to let all of the readers know what he had to go
through during his childhood.
Even though his parents were from Puerto Rico, Piri himself was born in the United States when his
parents moved there. He was born on September 20th, 1928 in East Harlem of New York City. When
he was growing up, his family lived in section of the city called Spanish Harlem where most spanish
speaking immigrants also lived. However, as he grew up there, he would eventually realize that life
was not very easy for people like him.
Spanish Harlem is a neighborhood in Upper Manhattan, despite its name, it is not actually a part of
Harlem. It is known as one of the largest Latino communities in New York, the residents there are
mostly Puerto Ricans but there are also people from the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and even Mexico.
Interestingly, the neighborhood was originally made up of Italians, but they pretty much declined
when the Spanish immigrated to America after the events of the First World War. Even though the
Spanish now made

Tetrahymena in the 5% ink showed a higher stained vacuole count that those in 1% ink. This
supported our hypothesis that the Tetahymena in a higher concentration of ink would show more
staining, because there is more ink around for them to consume. Differing results were found in a
similar experiment by Bazzone (2000), as cells in a higher ink concentration showed fewer vacuoles
than those at a lower ink concentration. This experiment followed the same procedure, but expanded
the ink concentrations to include 10% ink and examined cells at the timepoints 2, 10, 20, and 30
minutes (Bazzone, 2000). This study did not find an explanation for why these results occurred
(Bazzone, 2000). Since our numbers of vacuoles of 1% and 5% ink were nearly identical for each time
period, it is possible that if we repeated the experiment and counted more ... Show more content on

For this experiment, Tetrahymena would be starved for 0, 1, 5, 10, and 15 hours. Then, 2ml would be
combined with 2ml India ink and fixed at 0, 5, 10, 20 minutes. Wet mounts would be prepared and the
average number of vacuoles per Tetrahymena for twenty cells would be counted. Additionally, average
cell counts per drop of fixed Tetrahymena would be taken for twenty drops. This would allow us to
gain more knowledge on how exactly starvation affects the number of vacuoles and the lifespan of the
Tetrahymena. This would be helpful because we observed fewer Tetrahymena in our starvation
medium, but we don t know how quickly the cells died once they were placed in this medium.
In conclusion, this experiment helped us determine that Tetrahymena can perform phagocytosis most
efficiently when at a temperature close to their natural environment, when more stain is available, and
when they are not starved. Additionally, phagocytosis is a microfilament dependent process that does
not involve

The Effect Of Concentration Of Sucrose On The Dialysis
ariables
The independent variable was the concentration of sucrose in the dialysis tubing we used as a
simulated membrane.
The dependent variable was the percent increase in mass of the dialysis tubing. We can use this to
compare how osmosis increases or decreases as solute concentration increases. Hypothesis
We hypothesize that as the solute concentration increases, more water will diffuse into the dialysis
tubing (shown by a greater percent increase in mass).
We know that water will move through a membrane from more free water to less free water. The
higher the solute concentration is, the less free water there is. All of the sucrose solutions are being put
in pure water, but the ones with the most sucrose will need the most water to diffuse inside and bring
the free water levels to equilibrium, and the ones with less will need less water to diffuse.
Expectations
If the hypothesis is correct, the masses after we place the tubing samples in water will be higher than
the masses before. We will see the greatest % increase in mass in the highest concentration of sucrose
(1.0 M). The % increase will get lower as concentration decreases. All of the samples should have
some increase in mass because we are placing them in distilled water. Based on the known solutions,
the data should yield a mathematical model relating concentration and % increase, which we can use
to find the concentration of the unknown solution. Methods
We used the methods provided for us in the lab book.

The Process Of Updating Research And Cite-Checking
A. Updating Research and Cite Checking Cite checking is usually the last step of your research. Never
overlook this critical step! Citation services catalogue information about how points of law in a case
or statute are treated by later cases and secondary sources. Attorneys use citators to make sure that a
case they want to use is current and useful law. The process of using citators to check your research is
called cite checking or Shepardizing. The law being cite checked is called the cited authority. Any
subsequent law that mentions the cited authority is listed in the citator as a citing authority. Citing
authorities are divided into several positive or negative categories, depending on whether the citing
authority ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, a state appellate court cannot overrule the U.S. Supreme Court on a federal
constitutional issue. The hierarchy of judicial authority matters in research and it should be considered
when citing and cite checking. It is important to know that citators list all citing authorities within a
cited case, regardless of whether those citing authorities are found in the holding or the dicta.
Therefore, note what the citing authority says about your case, and where the citing authority uses the
case within its discussion. Many of the citing authorities are found in dicta, and therefore cannot be
controlling law. Also, the authorities may be only peripherally connected with the principle of law in
your case. Also note whether the citing authority is in the body of the opinion or if it appears in the
key notes or headnotes. Remember that headnotes and keynotes are not standards of the law, but only
summaries and case finders added by the research service. In addition to listing cases that cite your
target authority, citators also list secondary sources such as treatises, journals, and law reviews. With
these sources, citators help expand your research. Cite checking sources are the modern way to check
authorities. Before computer assisted legal research was invented, most attorneys updated their
research using books. Shepard s Citators, published as a series of cumulative volumes was the

Reasons Why High School Students Should Learn A Foreign...

Why High School students should learn a foreign language? One of the greatest and most influential
filmmakers of all time , Federico Fellini once stated that A different language is a different vision of
life and I, in my turn tend to say that he was perfectly right. A person who speaks more than one
language can experience multiple personalities, visions and reflections consisting which language is
he speaking. High School students should comprehend the real benefit of speaking a foreign language.
Being a multilingual myself and speaking fluently four languages and studying another two, I consider
that I am qualified enough to persuade that my argument is strong, plausible and not ultimately right.
In the following paragraphs I am going to address the following three reasons why should other High
School students learn at least one foreign language? Firstly, learning a new language enhances
performances in the academic domain and makes you smarter. Secondly, knowing a new language is a
high estimated and a very valuable characteristic in your professional CV. Thirdly, international travel
is more pleasant through knowing a foreign language.
Why High School students should learn a new language? A recent study in Brain and Language by
University of Washington researches generated this somewhat surprising statistic: bilingual people are
about half a second faster at executing novel instructions than

Catastrophe Bonds
Catastrophe Bonds
By Kirill Graminschi
The trouble with Catastrophe Bonds
The article presents the difficulties insurance companies face when they are issuing catastrophe bonds.
Do they efficiently hedge against large scale disasters?
It is very difficult hedging against catastrophic losses. Japan s March earthquake, tsunami and nuclear
disaster threat could cost the insurance industry between $21 and $34 billion.
The catastrophe bonds are not helping much the insurance companies, although they were designed to
do so. Catastrophe bonds have limits on type and location of the disaster they will cover. A large
number of catastrophe bonds covered the losses only in Tokyo, although the actual losses occurred far
away from there.
In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Considering all the risk stated above, the insurance companies are still issuing the catastrophe bonds.
In my point of view the issuance of catastrophe bonds by insurers is a successful financial hedging
technique. Even though the investors are having large returns on risk linked securities and only a small
number of them lost their principle, the purpose of these instruments is to provide coverage for highly
improbable risks. The benefit of these bonds is that they allow the insurance companies to secure a
layer of coverage for their worst case scenarios, which may not be available if traditional reinsurance
is used.
Catastrophe bonds help to diversify the protection capacity and supplement traditional reinsurance.
The insurance companies are transferring major risks and thus have more capital to underwrite new
business, therefore using the bonds to diversify their sourcing of reinsurance.
The issuance of risk linked securities is a great strategy in supplementing traditional reinsurance, but
these bonds still need to prove their value in the long run.
In conclusion, I would not agree with Mr. Niklaus Hilti s words: from the perspective of insurers and
reinsurers, traditional reinsurance is clearly the better hedge. The catastrophe bonds are carefully
designed to provide insurers and reinsurers the capital they need for

What Was The Role Of The Federal Government In The 1960 s
Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, the U.S. federal government took several actions both at home and
abroad that many Americans didn t always feel were justified, and didn t agree with. One of these
changes made in the U.S. dealt with the legal system, and the rights given to those charged with
serious crimes. Chief Justice Earl Warren, whose goal was to extend individual rights, led this
movement. Through a series of court cases Gideon v. Wainwright, Escobedo v. Illinois, Miranda v.
Arizona new rights of people accused of crimes were established. These included the right for the
accused to have a lawyer to be present during a police investigation, a lawyer to be provided to those
who couldn t afford one, and those accused had to be informed

Stereotypes Against Asian-Americans
Stereotypes Against Asian Americans
The concept of stereotype is defined as a belief that associates a group of people with certain traits
(Kassin, Fein, Markus et al., 2008, p. 133), which can influence a person s thinking process and
perception of others as well as the world. Stereotypes are related to other concepts, such as prejudice
and discrimination, which strengthen the distortion of people s reality. Another component of a
stereotype includes the concept of outgroup homogeneity effect which is the tendency to assume that
there is greater similarity among members of outgroups than among members of ingroups (Kassin et
al., 2008, p. 135). The concept of outgroup homogeneity effect refers to a misconception of others

134). In Gran Torino, the concept of social categorization is depicted by Walt s ignorance of Sue s
(Tao s sister) ethnic background, in which he asks her, What is a... where is Hmong or whatever? she
responds by saying, Wow! You re so enlightened. Hmong isn t a place, it s a people. Hmong people
come from different parts of Laos and Thailand and China (Eastwood et al., Eastwood, 2008). Another
example of social categorization is shown by Walter s misconceptions about Sue s and other Asian
Americans ethnic backgrounds when he said, What in the hell s the matter with you? I thought all you
Asian girls were supposed to be so smart. That s how you end up in the obituaries, that is, if they can
identify your body once they pull it out of the goddamned river (Eastwood et al., Eastwood, 2008).
The concept of social categorization leads to a misconception that Asians have similar ethnic
background and places of origin. However, people are mistaken because they fail to make a distinction
between their place of origin, ethnicity, and class, which leads to an overlap and intersection of their
definition of an Asian American identity. This misconception is shown otherwise by the New York
Times article when it states: defined categories of Asian American and Pacific Islander included
dozens of groups, each with its own language and culture, as varied as the Hmong, Samoans,

Case Study Of Tyco s Case
2008). In September 2002, Kozlowski and Swartz were accused of stealing more than $170 million
dollars from Tyco and swindling $430 million in the sale of company shares. Tyco s former chief
corporate counsel Mark A. Belnick was also found to have forged business records to hide over $14
million dollars that he received in company loans (Timeline of the Tyco International scandal, 2005).
The first trial began in October 2003, which was declared a mistrial in April 2004, because a juror said
she received a letter pressurizing her to convict Kozlowski and Swartz. The second trial began in
January 2005 and ended in June 2005, with Kozlowski and Swartz found guilty and in a separate trial,
Belnick was freed of all charges against him (Timeline of the Tyco International scandal, 2005).
The spending and loans were able to go on for so long because of Kozlowski s unethical leadership

Metropolitan Bishop
I, Eustathius, Bishop of Antioch come before you today to discuss the organization of the church.
Before I begin my discussion I would like to provide a little background information on myself. I am
the Bishop of Antioch, I was recently appointed to this position, and I have not physically been there
yet. Prior to this appointment I was the Bishop of Syria. Since I am able to trace my lineage directly
back to the apostles of Jesus, I am considered a metropolitan bishop. As a metropolitan Bishop, I
believe that we know what is best for the church. What is best for the church is to allow the
metropolitan bishops to be in charge. Metropolitan bishops should have full authority over the
doctorine and the clergy in their proper providences. This can only be done by creating a hierarchy to

head leaders before a person of clergy can be promoted to a bishop. In addition to this I believe that
the bishop of Jerusalem should be appointed over Palestine instead of Eusebius of Caesarea. While
Caesarea was the seat of Roman power in Palestine it has no spiritual or theological authority in the
church. Jerusalem has tires all the way back to Genesis, when Abraham went to Jerusalem to make
Thanksgiving. The key to this issue was that we are trying to make sure that everything aligns

End Humpback Whale Protection Essay
End Humpback Whale Protection Say Fisheries
Humpback whales would no longer be listed under the Endangered Species Act
(www.fws.gov/laws/lawsdigest/esact.html) if U.S. fisheries managers get what they want, which is to
end humpback whale protection. The group says that the whales are doing well now and don t face
extinction like they did when first put on the list.
Humpback whales now are on the list as being in danger all over the world, however, on Monday a
proposal was opened up to the public that seeks to end humpback whale protection in some areas by
putting the world s population of humpback whales into 14 groups having differing levels of
protection and taking 10 of those groups totally off the protected status.

If End Humpback Whale Protection, Laws Would Change
Getting rid of the protection the humpback whales now have would mean that ships and fishermen
could get by with hitting or killing a whale or producing too high of noise levels in certain underwater
areas. The changes to end humpback whale protection is being suggested due to the fact that scientists
claim there are now tens of thousands of humpbacks now vs. only a few thousand back in the 70s
when they were originally put on the Endangered list.
Since 1966, commercial hunting of whales has been prohibited by the International Whaling
Commission (iwc.int). However, some countries still hunt them, such as Japan, Norway and Iceland,
for instance, killing of these mammals is permitted for scientific research and a few more are killed by
Japanese in the Southern Ocean for blubber and their meat.
There have also still been humpbacks killed from things like getting tangled up in fishing equipment,
loss of habitat, harassment from whale watchers, and getting hit by

I guess he earned his last name. I hope I don t suffer that fate.
Years ago I watched him grow, I thought I taught him right from wrong, I saw my mistake, there was

Comparing The Roles Of Women During Athens And Sparta
Planning Investigation:
This investigation will answer the question What were the differences and similarities of the roles of
women in Athens and Sparta? This question is relevant due to the fact that the role of women and how
they were treated back then are very different than today and we ve come a long way since then in
terms of women s rights. It s also important to see the drastic differences between the roles of women
from one Greek city to another. The issues that will be addressed are their treatment and roles within
societies and how they differ from the Greek towns Athens and Sparta. The places investigated will
include Athens and Sparta. This will be accomplished through an examination of books, websites, and

The origin of this source is an essay, titled Athenian vs. Spartan Women in Antigone s Era that was
written by Professor Eric Hibbison at J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College in 2002. It s a
secondary source. Its purpose is to inform people and better educate his students and others through
his writing so people would be more informed. A value of this is that it gives the perspective of being
a fairly newer text which means it has more new information. It also has a balanced view on who,
between Athenian and Spartan women, were treated better or worse. However, there were some
limitations too. A lot of the sources were websites with only a handful of book cites, making it rely on

Research Paper About Kewauna

English 12/ 1A
Ambitious Bargains Have you ever wanted to prove somebody or even yourself that you could do
better? Have you ever wanted to prove that you were better than what you were or where you came
from? That s what two girls named Kewauna and Marita wanted to do. Kewauna wanted to better her
life with the OneGoal program, she took full advantage of her education by getting to know her
professors and making them remember her, and anything she struggled with she made sure to study
and pay extra attention to. Marita also wanted to take advantage of her education instead of telling her
mom that she couldn t handle the KIPP Academy she toughed through it, even with a 10 hour school

Of the 128 students, including Kewauna, who started OneGoal as juniors at six Chicago high schools
in the fall of 2009, ninety six were enrolled in four year colleges as of March 2012. This proves that
OneGoal is a fairly successful prep school. Marita went to a school called KIPP Academy where
richer kids automatically had the upper hand because of the amount of money and lifestyle they were
born into. The school was known for its ascendancy in math, and that may have caused Marita to
major in Accounting now that she is in college. The final comparison you can make between the two
is that they both came from troubled backgrounds, poor families, and bad neighborhoods with little to
no opportunities before KIPP and OneGoal. Kewauna had a very troubling childhood until OneGoal,
she was arrested at 15 for punching a police officer and she was also homeless for a time in her life.
She decided to change her life for the better and start doing better in school after a family intervention
about her behavior. There is the only slight difference between Kewauna and Marita, Marita was not a
problematic child like Kawauna she just is one of the unfortunate people born in a not so nice
neighborhood which lessened her chances of being successful significantly. Luckily, for both of
Marita and Kewauna they have beaten that stereotype to pieces and they both enrolled in higher
education. In conclusion, Marita and Kewauna can practically be twins. But in all

Underground Economies And Its Effects On Canada
This paper looks into the different types of underground economies and its effects on Canada, and
argues that underground economy is destructive to the society and should be eliminated as much as
possible. With evidence from Statistics Canada, it shows the percentage of how much the black market
is affecting the GDP. It also discusses the main causes as to why some sellers choose to be in the
underground economy and how they could benefit from it temporarily. Underground economies in a
long run are invisible actions that creates very visible consequences, including the vicious cycle of
low tax revenue, less quality and quantity in public goods, discourage in money circulation,
drawbacks to GDP, lowered employment rate and a society that ... Show more content on

All kinds of goods and services are available in an underground economy. The most commonly traded
goods and services are goods and services that are available in the official market, but at a lower cost
in the black market; or goods and services that has a limited supply in the official market, but are sold
at an elevated price in the Black market. Despite the trade being illegal, as long as both the seller and
buyer comes to an agreement on the price, they trade privately with cash to avoid being detected.
Although many sellers get away with this, at the end of the day underground economy is a continued
cycle of affecting the country and its citizens, including sellers and buyers in the black market, mostly
its tax revenues will be affected, then the GDP, and finally its citizens. All Black market trades are
done in the shadows, but if the root causes of the continued growth in the underground economy are
known, things could be done to eliminate the number of black market trades as much as possible.
Underground economy is disruptive to the society, to avoid these negative effects; it should be
eliminated as much as possible.
The unreported economy causes tax evasion and that affects everybody in Canada. There are various
negative effects regarding the black market; doubtful the most significant one is the effect it has on tax
revenues the unreported economy. Tax revenue is the sum of all different kinds of taxes collected

Amazing Grace Summary
Amazing Grace, the third live music album of Aretha Franklin, was released by the Atlantic Records
in 1972. Twenty years later, the RIAA certified it double platinum and this album went on the to
become the best selling live gospel music album of all time. With Rev. James Cleveland as the leader
of the choir and a highly accomplished rhythm section band, Amazing Grace is widely acknowledged
to have revitalized the gospel genre. Beyond the immediate musical impact, the social impact could be
felt then and for future generations as Franklin, by going back to her more traditional roots,
emphasized change, respect, and most importantly African American pride.
Hence it came as no surprise when the 33 ⅓ series of books, a series evaluating the most influential
albums of all time, announced an installment on Amazing Grace. Few would have been more suited to
write this book than Aaron Cohen, a man with expertise in jazz, r b, and gospel, all three of whose
influences can be seen on Amazing Grace. Cohen s passion and knowledge for gospel, and particularly
for this album can be seen in this book as he tracks down nearly everyone alive involved in the
making of the album. He maintains a specific style throughout the book. Cohen provides numerous
interviews, historical records, and various songs throughout the text, and based off of these accounts,
he offers his own musical and sociological analyses, often providing a fresh perspective on Aretha s
background and into the makings of Amazing Grace.
Cohen makes his style clear right from the first chapter. He offers a fascinating take on Aretha s
transition from gospel to pop, and back to gospel. The popular media narrative was that Aretha began
singing gospel in her childhood under the influence of her father, a famous preacher. She then
transferred to pop and jazz, and after struggling and achieving little success, switched to r b under the
guidance of a street smart producer (Jerry Wexler), before becoming the queen of soul. But Cohen s
perspective was that Aretha Franklin began in the church and never left (6). She always accompanied
her father on the gospel circuit. Alexander Hamilton, one of the leaders of the choir for Amazing
Grace, in his interview with Cohen,

Big Boss Juicer Review
Juicer Review
Getting the benefit of fruits produce all at once without the stress of worrying about how well your
body will digest is one of the prime features of Juicing. The art of juicing involves crushing the pulp
of food produce to extract juice and essential phytonutrients. Furthermore, the process of extracting
juice is dependent on the juicer being used; the centrifugal juicers use high spinning blades to crush
pulp and extract juice in seconds while the masticating juicer mimics the chewing and grinding motion
of the mouth to get maximum yield from fruits and vegetables in minutes.

Insider Trading And Stock Market
Furthermore, many economists believe that insider trading leads to instability in the market.
Economists Julan Du and Shang Jin Wei suggest that when the market is at higher volatility, insider
trading has mainly a part to play in this instability of the market. However, these two economists also
believe that many other factors play into the market efficiency and insider trading. Some of these
factors include: financial and economic policies, and the maturity of the stock market at the current

When a company issues new shares to an investor, the capitals from these shares are spread to that

Tyre Josias, who described the position of the crusaders located in Jerusalem, and the loss of the Holy

The World Trade Organization And Its Predecessor The...
Over the course of its history, the World Trade Organization (and its predecessor the General
Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) has aimed to liberalise trade throughout the globe. While
accomplishing such a task is no easy matter, the WTO has managed to successfully implement a
number of agreements over the course of 67 years towards such a goal. Recently though, the WTO
seems to have stalled in producing successful agreements. The latest round of such agreements,
dubbed the Doha Development Round, has been in development for nearly 15 years now with little to
show for it. Why is it then that the WTO, an organization that has managed to successfully agree on
eight previous rounds, been stuck for so long?
The World Trade Organization largely accomplishes its agenda through rounds : negotiation rounds
between all members that largely focus on specific agendas with the aim to create guidelines and rules
that promote global trade. Historically, the WTO (and the GATT) have seen eight rounds thus far (nine
if counting the current Doha round), with each producing an universally agreed on agreement. The
first round of such, taking place in 1947, is what actually brought about the GATT and focused largely
on tariff controls. The subsequent four rounds, occurring in 1949, 1951, 1956, and 1960, each also
focused on tariffs controls. Such negotiations largely took place because of the quickly changing
world playing field and as new members joined onto the GATT. It wasn t until the mid

The Attainment Of Wealth And Social Status
The attainment of wealth and social status has been the goal for human beings since the beginning of
civilizations. Socioeconomic status [SES] is defined as a measure of one s level of education and
income (Friedman, H., Schustack, 2012, pg.420). The factors that contribute to one s success have
dumbfounded the masses. What makes a person more successful? Some may say the combination of
hard work and hint of luck is the key to success. However, it recent years psychologists have
questioned whether there is a correlation between socioeconomic status and personality. Researchers
have just recently begun to explore questions relating to status and individual characteristics. It is a
new emerging research topic, but they have begun to test many different aspects of the correlation to
find statistically significant relationships. Low socioeconomic status has been linked to poor health. A
possible explanation for this association may be characteristics of personality that influence health. A
2009 study conducted by the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Duke University sought
to assess the relationship between occupational status and individual characteristics. In this particular
study, 233 African American and Caucasian, male and female individuals volunteered to participate

immigration years, work experience, education, language skill, family factors, industry, occupation
and provinces in column (2), I find that the wage differential widens to 50.8 percent lead to an

mainly from the inclusion of variables that affect the wage gap between immigrants and natives. For

These effects are not considered in the unconditional wage regression model (the first column) so a
lower wage gap is observed. Thus, if theses variables are controlled, the wage differential will widen
significantly. I find one additional immigration year will increase the weekly immigrant wage by 2.7
log percentage points at the beginning. Moreover, in the higher immigration years, wage starts to
increase at a decreasing rate due to the factor that immigrant workers are too old to work less
efficiently than before. The similar situation can also be found in the work experience variable. All
positive coefficients of provinces imply that workers who reside in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Quebec,
Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia have wage advantages than workers residing in Atlantic
provinces. Compared with that of the Atlantic provinces, the provincial wage difference is largest in

Modeling Of Forecasting Inflation On Nepal Essay
CHAPTER FOUR
MODELING OF FORECASTING INFLATION IN NEPAL
4.1Introduction
Inflation is a burning economic problem in the developing countries like Nepal that brings adverse
effects like loss of purchasing power of national currency, leading to the aggravation of social
conditions and living standards. This also leads to uncertainty making domestic and foreign investors
reluctant to invest in the economy. Additionally, inflation broadens the country s terms of trade
causing domestic goods and services more expensive in the market. That is why; the monetary
authority of every economy should have the objective of maintaining stable price.
Inflation forecasting plays a central role in monetary policy formulation. Recent international
empirical evidence suggests that with the decline in inflation of recent years, a fairly widespread
phenomenon, the combined dynamics of this variable and its potential predictors, such as money or
different measures of the output gap, has changed, and inflation has become more unpredictable.
Univariate models tend to show a better forecasting capacity than those based on various inflation
theories, such as the Phillips curve. Traditionally, in industrialized countries the Phillips curve has
played a predominant role in inflation forecasting, and according to Stock and Watson (1999),
Atkenson and Ohanian (2001) and Canova, (2002), it would seem to perform better in terms of
forecasting error than other alternative models. In recent years there have

dates back to the Hurricane Katrina. Here, the employees were forced to leave as the power failed
which led to over 10,000 aquatic animals being killed.
Animals should be given the freedom they deserve. They should not be held captive in zoos and we
can help stop this insanity. If people stop buying tickets to look at imprisoned animals, zoos will be
forced to stop imprisoning and breeding wild animals. There are many better ways of studying an
animal, such as looking up about it online, or even watching an animal documentary which shows the
animal in its natural habitat, with its natural behavior. The animals need to be happy to live the life

Despite its continuous aging, the epic poem Beowulf is...
Despite its continuous aging, the epic poem Beowulf is still currently discussed in modern day English
courses, allowing the reader to unfold and discuss certain literary themes associated throughout the
epic poem. One arguable theme associated with the Anglo Saxon styled poem is that if a great warrior
can also be a prominent ruler of their land or not. A warrior is usually associated with being victorious
in challenging situations, automatically associating themselves as being a great leader or king of a
kingdom. However, heroic actions cannot simply determine a great leader, but rather the character s
traits unique to each great warrior which are needed to produce a great leader. Traits such as: god like
strength, courage to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However Beowulf displayed vital traits needed in a great leader. At his lowest point, Beowulf still
gave his all; never accepting defeat. Accepting a taunting task such as this swim requires enough
courage as is, but to carry threw and be victorious demands a great respect none can share. This plays
into being a great leader when faced with harmful conflict. During times of low moral, many look
directly to their leadership to gain motivation. With Beowulf having such great strength and courage
second to none, it would allow him to make decisions that would instill confidence and motivation in
his men, likely allowing victory to follow. Coinciding with courage and strength, both loyalty and
courtesy are two other key elements that lay at the core of being both a great warrior and leader.
Beowulf perfectly exemplifies these two traits in his willingness to help Hrothgar and his current need
for help. What proves his loyalty doesn t come straight from his heart, but rather the past and Hrothgar
s history with Beowulf s father. In order to resolve a gruesome blood feud between the Wulfings and
Ecgtheow, Hrothgar paid a sum of money to settle their differences. Hrothgar explains, This man is
their son,/ here to follow up an old friendship (375 376). Although Beowulf has no obligation to
Hrothgar, he understands the sacrifice that was made for his father and is grateful for his past help.

Abortion Statistics
In the first article I have chosen to use in my paper entitled Abortion in the United States:
A Statistical Study, there are many facts and different data and statistics that help confirm my
hypothesis that unmarried women are more likely to seek abortions than married women. The
article includes informative sections such as Characteristics of Women Seeking Abortions. This
particular section stated that women in the twenty to twenty four year old age group obtained
the greatest proportion of abortions in 2003 one third (33.7%) of the total. (Abortion in the
United States: A Statistical Study. (2008). In S. M. Alters) A women in the United States

One piece of data
that I found in this article states that 91.9% of 2010 abortions were preformed at or less than the
13th week of gestation. Of those 71.7% were performed at or less than the eighth week. 17.7% of
all 2010 abortions were medical abortions. (Abortion Fast Facts. (2014, May 27). CNN Wire)
This clearly shows that most women who decide to have abortions make that decision rather
quickly. This is usually due to an unfit situation for a child, often times due to unmarried women
who are receiving the abortion. Just this piece of data alone helps to support the hypothesis that
unmarried women are more likely to seek abortions than married women.
The third article I chose to use in my paper on the topic of abortion is entitled Abortion
around the World. This article provides great statistics and data for abortion situations around the
entire world. There is a lot of information about legal and illegal abortions in this article. I also
found a section that shows the legal abortion rates by the age of women at termination. In 2003
in the United States 22.1 out of every 100 legal abortion was from women age 19 and

The Consequences Of Civil Disobedience
The meaning of civil disobedience has been disoriented throughout the years. Unfortunately, civil
disobedience is often confused with simply violating laws that you do not like (docsoffredom.org). On
the other hand, true civil disobedience lies in violating inequitable laws, but accepting the
consequences that come with it. Peaceful resistance can positively impact a free society and bring
about reform people desire, but only in the form of true civil disobedience. For example, the Civil
Rights Movement won desegregation for many African Americans. Furthermore, Mahatma Gandhi
and his non violent acts of civil disobedience helped to ensure India s independence from Britain.
Also, protests of the Dakota Access pipeline has led the Army ... Show more content on

This can be seen in the Civil Rights Movement, which desegregated the United States for many
African Americans. Moreover, another defining example of this is seen in the many non violent
protests of Mahatma Gandhi, which aided India in gaining independence. Finally, a modern example
of true civil disobedience are the protests against the Dakota pipeline, which had a small taste of
victory until President Donald Trump authorized the pipeline to continue. All of these examples are
evidence of how true civil disobedience can impact not just one society, but the entire world, and how
it will continue to do so for generations to

Examples Of Housing Bubble In Australia
Housing bubble in Australia
With the consistent increase of property prices and more personal debt than ever before, we assume
that there s a housing bubble in Australia. The statistics show that from 2008 till now, property prices
have been going up as a result of increased mortgage debt. When it slows down, that could cause a
property crash. We are sure that there s a housing bubble, but we cannot confirm when it will finally
burst although a few area in Australia has already met a decrease of house prices. There are 3
indicators of the housing bubble in Australia.
First of all, from 2008 to 2015, property prices of all capital cities in Australia have increased rapidly.

This is a sign that the housing bubble starts to burst. Secondly, in the past few years, household debt
has increased rapidly. On one hand, it has deep influence on each Australian. With one dollar earned,
one Australian is now in debt for two dollars. Australia s debt for property is just lower than
Switzerland in the whole world and doubles as much as America. Compared with the increase of
house debt, salaries of Australians have remained steady, which means people s capacity to repay debt
hasn t improved. Australians have been recorded low wage growth. From January to March 2017
wages grew just 0.5 percent. Over the previous year, wages grew a total of 1.9 percent. From 2011
2016 wages grew just 13 percent (Anderson 2017). Considering price to income ration index, housing
affordability in Australia has broadly declined in the past few years. Nevertheless, it s very easy for
anyone to get loans from the bank. People don t need strict assessment of credit to get loans and the
government has some policy like first home owners scheme to encourage house loans. As the interest
rate is at the lowest point in history, any boost of the interest rate would cause hundreds of thousands
of households under mortgage depress. In addition, the ease to get loans make more house demand,
which eventually make the price going up. If people can only use their incomes to buy properties, the
demand would definitely not as high as nowadays. The American house crash

What Is The Role Of Sympathy In Wordsworth s Old Man...
Adam Smith and was a great 19th century philosopher whose famous analytical work on sympathy,
The Theory of Moral Sentiments , continues to be the source of much contemporary speculation and
debate. To offer a general viewpoint of the Smithian model of sympathy, the term to sympathize
means to feel and to be able to relate to the pain and the suffering of others but only to a certain extent.
The ideas of sympathy presented in the Smithian model play a significant role in supporting voice in
prominent works by offering a stage on which the narrator can persuade and provoke his targeted
audience. One notable work which possesses this structure is Wordsworth s Old Man Traveling
(1798). The poem Old Man Traveling is a metaphor that creates sympathy by presenting the narration
through a paradoxical loudspeaker: a man appears serene and nonchalant while journeying with the
burden of a personal tragedy. The work incorporates and presents the strengths and weaknesses of the
Smithian model to varying degrees. In order to evoke sympathy in the reader, Wordsworth s narrator
paints his subject as an enduring hero , creates a contrast in feelings of the man and of those around
him, and showcases the incongruences between the man s reactions to his contemporary dilemma.
The narrator first opens the story with The little hedge row birds, / That peck along the road, regard
him not (Wordsworth 1 2), indicating nature s obliviousness to the traveler s presence. Mother Earth s

As the compass progresses along the assembly line, plastic components are snapped together. Some
plastic components move through printers, which stamp them with markings such as the company
logo, or with scale markings for use with maps. This could cause the throughput to slow down if
defected parts are discovered. The Firebird Manufacturing facility is spread over 130,000 square feet
and has a capacity for producing over six million compasses each year. Firebird Compass matches
production capability to customer orders. The continuous analysis done weekly on the resources in the
plant is compared to meet the demand of the product so our obligations are fulfilled. Firebird employs
short term fixes to any imperfections in balance by hiring extra workers during a heavy production
cycle, plan a third shift for continuous operations, approve overtime at the worker level and sub
contract if necessary.
Production planning at Firebird is a key essential task with complimenting sub tasks requiring the
managers input for a successful operation. At Firebird modulating capacity is accomplished by
additional overtime and increasing the part time employees hired for the additional production needed.
Firebird has the capacity to meet the demands of the compasses that are ordered at frequent peaks
during the year. Firebird can achieve this demand with inventory buffers in the supply chain. By

The Silent Scene In Hamlet And William Shakespeare s Hamlet Shakespeare was an intelligent man, he wrote characters with ideas in his mind of how they should be played, some directors and actors do not respect that. In a comparison of three different film adaptations of the play Hamlet, the famous To be or not to be speech is often butchered and destroyed with no respect for the original material. Music, scenery, and acting are are vital to the scene and how viewers may understand and appreciate the work and characters in it. Often neglected, it is up to watchers to decide whether or not the work was enjoyable, there are many reasons for those opinions to sway in a certain direction. Olivier, Tennant, and Branagh all had their take at the scene, and in comparison, only one managed to impress and match the stature of the original text. Olivier s portrayal of the To be or not to be soliloquy was utterly atrocious. With the age of the film taken into consideration, it still manages to fail at nearly every aspect and disappoint as much as possible. The strongest point, which in comparison is not strong at all, would have to be the music and sound or lack thereof. The silence definitely is akin to Hamlet s depression and his quiet speaking is attempting to add to that though failing miserably. A quiet scene is something which can definitely add the feeling of a character s struggle when done correctly which this was not, leading to an awkwardly quiet scene. However, since his parents were Puerto Rican immigrants he was doing very well in his new environment. He couldn t make any friends, since the other kids made fun of him because of his race and his family didn t have a lot of money since his parents were unable to find a job. He wrote this story as an autobiography to let all of the readers know what he had to go through during his childhood. Even though his parents were from Puerto Rico, Piri himself was born in the United States when his parents moved there. He was born on September 20th, 1928 in East Harlem of New York City. When he was growing up, his family lived in section of the city called Spanish Harlem where most spanish speaking immigrants also lived. However, as he grew up there, he would eventually realize that life was not very easy for people like him. Spanish Harlem is a neighborhood in Upper Manhattan, despite its name, it is not actually a part of Harlem. It is known as one of the largest Latino communities in New York, the residents there are mostly Puerto Ricans but there are also people from the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and even Mexico. This experiment followed the same procedure, but expanded the ink concentrations to include 10% ink and examined cells at the timepoints 2, 10, 20, and 30 minutes (Bazzone, 2000). • 11. The Effect Of Concentration Of Sucrose On The Dialysis ariables The independent variable was the concentration of sucrose in the dialysis tubing we used as a simulated membrane. The dependent variable was the percent increase in mass of the dialysis tubing. We can use this to compare how osmosis increases or decreases as solute concentration increases. Hypothesis We hypothesize that as the solute concentration increases, more water will diffuse into the dialysis tubing (shown by a greater percent increase in mass). We know that water will move through a membrane from more free water to less free water. The higher the solute concentration is, the less free water there is. All of the sucrose solutions are being put in pure water, but the ones with the most sucrose will need the most water to diffuse inside and bring the free water levels to equilibrium, and the ones with less will need less water to diffuse. Expectations If the hypothesis is correct, the masses after we place the tubing samples in water will be higher than the masses before. We will see the greatest % increase in mass in the highest concentration of sucrose (1.0 M). The % increase will get lower as concentration decreases. All of the samples should have some increase in mass because we are placing them in distilled water. Based on the known solutions, the data should yield a mathematical model relating concentration and % increase, which we can use to find the concentration of the unknown solution. Methods We used the methods provided for us in the lab book. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Therefore, note what the citing authority says about your case, and where the citing authority uses the case within its discussion. Many of the citing authorities are found in dicta, and therefore cannot be controlling law. Also, the authorities may be only peripherally connected with the principle of law in your case. Considering all the risk stated above, the insurance companies are still issuing the catastrophe bonds. In my point of view the issuance of catastrophe bonds by insurers is a successful financial hedging technique. Even though the investors are having large returns on risk linked securities and only a small number of them lost their principle, the purpose of these instruments is to provide coverage for highly improbable risks. The benefit of these bonds is that they allow the insurance companies to secure a layer of coverage for their worst case scenarios, which may not be available if traditional reinsurance is used. Catastrophe bonds help to diversify the protection capacity and supplement traditional reinsurance. The insurance companies are transferring major risks and thus have more capital to underwrite new business, therefore using the bonds to diversify their sourcing of reinsurance. The issuance of risk linked securities is a great strategy in supplementing traditional reinsurance, but these bonds still need to prove their value in the long run. • 25. Amazing Grace Summary Amazing Grace, the third live music album of Aretha Franklin, was released by the Atlantic Records in 1972. Twenty years later, the RIAA certified it double platinum and this album went on the to become the best selling live gospel music album of all time. With Rev. James Cleveland as the leader of the choir and a highly accomplished rhythm section band, Amazing Grace is widely acknowledged to have revitalized the gospel genre. Beyond the immediate musical impact, the social impact could be felt then and for future generations as Franklin, by going back to her more traditional roots, emphasized change, respect, and most importantly African American pride. Hence it came as no surprise when the 33 ⅓ series of books, a series evaluating the most influential albums of all time, announced an installment on Amazing Grace. Few would have been more suited to write this book than Aaron Cohen, a man with expertise in jazz, r b, and gospel, all three of whose influences can be seen on Amazing Grace. Cohen s passion and knowledge for gospel, and particularly for this album can be seen in this book as he tracks down nearly everyone alive involved in the making of the album. He maintains a specific style throughout the book. Cohen provides numerous interviews, historical records, and various songs throughout the text, and based off of these accounts, he offers his own musical and sociological analyses, often providing a fresh perspective on Aretha s background and into the makings of Amazing Grace. Cohen makes his style clear right from the first chapter. He offers a fascinating take on Aretha s transition from gospel to pop, and back to gospel. The popular media narrative was that Aretha began singing gospel in her childhood under the influence of her father, a famous preacher. She then transferred to pop and jazz, and after struggling and achieving little success, switched to r b under the guidance of a street smart producer (Jerry Wexler), before becoming the queen of soul. But Cohen s perspective was that Aretha Franklin began in the church and never left (6). She always accompanied her father on the gospel circuit. Over the course of its history, the World Trade Organization (and its predecessor the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) has aimed to liberalise trade throughout the globe. While accomplishing such a task is no easy matter, the WTO has managed to successfully implement a number of agreements over the course of 67 years towards such a goal. Recently though, the WTO seems to have stalled in producing successful agreements. The latest round of such agreements, dubbed the Doha Development Round, has been in development for nearly 15 years now with little to show for it. Why is it then that the WTO, an organization that has managed to successfully agree on eight previous rounds, been stuck for so long? The World Trade Organization largely accomplishes its agenda through rounds : negotiation rounds between all members that largely focus on specific agendas with the aim to create guidelines and rules that promote global trade. Historically, the WTO (and the GATT) have seen eight rounds thus far (nine if counting the current Doha round), with each producing an universally agreed on agreement. The first round of such, taking place in 1947, is what actually brought about the GATT and focused largely on tariff controls. The subsequent four rounds, occurring in 1949, 1951, 1956, and 1960, each also focused on tariffs controls. The factors that contribute to one s success have dumbfounded the masses. What makes a person more successful? Some may say the combination of hard work and hint of luck is the key to success. However, it recent years psychologists have questioned whether there is a correlation between socioeconomic status and personality. Researchers have just recently begun to explore questions relating to status and individual characteristics. It is a new emerging research topic, but they have begun to test many different aspects of the correlation to find statistically significant relationships. Low socioeconomic status has been linked to poor health. A possible explanation for this association may be characteristics of personality that influence health. In this particular study, 233 African American and Caucasian, male and female individuals volunteered to participate and their parent s education, current SES (education and income), and personality were assessed. Modeling Of Forecasting Inflation On Nepal Essay CHAPTER FOUR MODELING OF FORECASTING INFLATION IN NEPAL 4.1Introduction Inflation is a burning economic problem in the developing countries like Nepal that brings adverse effects like loss of purchasing power of national currency, leading to the aggravation of social conditions and living standards. This also leads to uncertainty making domestic and foreign investors reluctant to invest in the economy. Additionally, inflation broadens the country s terms of trade causing domestic goods and services more expensive in the market. That is why; the monetary authority of every economy should have the objective of maintaining stable price. Inflation forecasting plays a central role in monetary policy formulation. Recent international empirical evidence suggests that with the decline in inflation of recent years, a fairly widespread phenomenon, the combined dynamics of this variable and its potential predictors, such as money or different measures of the output gap, has changed, and inflation has become more unpredictable. Univariate models tend to show a better forecasting capacity than those based on various inflation theories, such as the Phillips curve. Traditionally, in industrialized countries the Phillips curve has played a predominant role in inflation forecasting, and according to Stock and Watson (1999), Atkenson and Ohanian (2001) and Canova, (2002), it would seem to perform better in terms of forecasting error than other alternative models. Despite its continuous aging, the epic poem Beowulf is still currently discussed in modern day English courses, allowing the reader to unfold and discuss certain literary themes associated throughout the epic poem. One arguable theme associated with the Anglo Saxon styled poem is that if a great warrior can also be a prominent ruler of their land or not. A warrior is usually associated with being victorious in challenging situations, automatically associating themselves as being a great leader or king of a kingdom. At his lowest point, Beowulf still gave his all; never accepting defeat. Accepting a taunting task such as this swim requires enough courage as is, but to carry threw and be victorious demands a great respect none can share. This plays into being a great leader when faced with harmful conflict. During times of low moral, many look directly to their leadership to gain motivation. With Beowulf having such great strength and courage second to none, it would allow him to make decisions that would instill confidence and motivation in his men, likely allowing victory to follow. Coinciding with courage and strength, both loyalty and courtesy are two other key elements that lay at the core of being both a great warrior and leader. Beowulf perfectly exemplifies these two traits in his willingness to help Hrothgar and his current need for help. Abortion Statistics In the first article I have chosen to use in my paper entitled Abortion in the United States: A Statistical Study, there are many facts and different data and statistics that help confirm my hypothesis that unmarried women are more likely to seek abortions than married women. The article includes informative sections such as Characteristics of Women Seeking Abortions. This particular section stated that women in the twenty to twenty four year old age group obtained the greatest proportion of abortions in 2003 one third (33.7%) of the total. (Abortion in the United States: A Statistical Study. (2008). In S. M. Alters) A women in the United States between the age of 20 24 is more often than not an unmarried woman. This statistic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One piece of data that I found in this article states that 91.9% of 2010 abortions were preformed at or less than the 13th week of gestation. Of those 71.7% were performed at or less than the eighth week. 17.7% of all 2010 abortions were medical abortions. (Abortion Fast Facts. (2014, May 27). CNN Wire) This clearly shows that most women who decide to have abortions make that decision rather quickly. This is usually due to an unfit situation for a child, often times due to unmarried women who are receiving the abortion. Just this piece of data alone helps to support the hypothesis that unmarried women are more likely to seek abortions than married women. The third article I chose to use in my paper on the topic of abortion is entitled Abortion around the World. This article provides great statistics and data for abortion situations around the entire world. There is a lot of information about legal and illegal abortions in this article. I also found a section that shows the legal abortion rates by the age of women at termination. In 2003

  • 48. The Consequences Of Civil Disobedience The meaning of civil disobedience has been disoriented throughout the years. Unfortunately, civil disobedience is often confused with simply violating laws that you do not like (docsoffredom.org). On the other hand, true civil disobedience lies in violating inequitable laws, but accepting the consequences that come with it. Peaceful resistance can positively impact a free society and bring about reform people desire, but only in the form of true civil disobedience. For example, the Civil Rights Movement won desegregation for many African Americans. Furthermore, Mahatma Gandhi and his non violent acts of civil disobedience helped to ensure India s independence from Britain. Also, protests of the Dakota Access pipeline has led the Army ... Moreover, another defining example of this is seen in the many non violent protests of Mahatma Gandhi, which aided India in gaining independence. Finally, a modern example of true civil disobedience are the protests against the Dakota pipeline, which had a small taste of victory until President Donald Trump authorized the pipeline to continue. All of these examples are evidence of how true civil disobedience can impact not just one society, but the entire world, and how it will continue to do so for generations to ... • 50. Examples Of Housing Bubble In Australia Housing bubble in Australia With the consistent increase of property prices and more personal debt than ever before, we assume that there s a housing bubble in Australia. The statistics show that from 2008 till now, property prices have been going up as a result of increased mortgage debt. When it slows down, that could cause a property crash. We are sure that there s a housing bubble, but we cannot confirm when it will finally burst although a few area in Australia has already met a decrease of house prices. There are 3 indicators of the housing bubble in Australia. First of all, from 2008 to 2015, property prices of all capital cities in Australia have increased rapidly. People have had obsession with buying houses. At the same time, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is a sign that the housing bubble starts to burst. Secondly, in the past few years, household debt has increased rapidly. On one hand, it has deep influence on each Australian. With one dollar earned, one Australian is now in debt for two dollars. Australia s debt for property is just lower than Switzerland in the whole world and doubles as much as America. Compared with the increase of house debt, salaries of Australians have remained steady, which means people s capacity to repay debt hasn t improved. Australians have been recorded low wage growth. From January to March 2017 wages grew just 0.5 percent. Over the previous year, wages grew a total of 1.9 percent. From 2011 2016 wages grew just 13 percent (Anderson 2017). Considering price to income ration index, housing affordability in Australia has broadly declined in the past few years. Nevertheless, it s very easy for anyone to get loans from the bank. People don t need strict assessment of credit to get loans and the government has some policy like first home owners scheme to encourage house loans. As the interest rate is at the lowest point in history, any boost of the interest rate would cause hundreds of thousands of households under mortgage depress. In addition, the ease to get loans make more house demand, which eventually make the price going up. If people can only use their incomes to buy properties, the demand would definitely not as high as nowadays. The American house crash ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 52. What Is The Role Of Sympathy In Wordsworth s Old Man... Adam Smith and was a great 19th century philosopher whose famous analytical work on sympathy, The Theory of Moral Sentiments , continues to be the source of much contemporary speculation and debate. To offer a general viewpoint of the Smithian model of sympathy, the term to sympathize means to feel and to be able to relate to the pain and the suffering of others but only to a certain extent. The ideas of sympathy presented in the Smithian model play a significant role in supporting voice in prominent works by offering a stage on which the narrator can persuade and provoke his targeted audience. One notable work which possesses this structure is Wordsworth s Old Man Traveling (1798). The poem Old Man Traveling is a metaphor that creates sympathy by presenting the narration through a paradoxical loudspeaker: a man appears serene and nonchalant while journeying with the burden of a personal tragedy. The work incorporates and presents the strengths and weaknesses of the Smithian model to varying degrees. In order to evoke sympathy in the reader, Wordsworth s narrator paints his subject as an enduring hero , creates a contrast in feelings of the man and of those around him, and showcases the incongruences between the man s reactions to his contemporary dilemma. The narrator first opens the story with The little hedge row birds, / That peck along the road, regard him not (Wordsworth 1 2), indicating nature s obliviousness to the traveler s presence.
