Choosing The Forbes Travel Guide Star
This means that every month for the last 2 years, 6.2 new luxury hotel were built in the world. Hotels
where each guest may easily fancy himself as prince surrounded by a flock of courtiers (Sherman, 2007,
p. 26) are being required more and more every day. The World Luxury Index (2014) revealed that the
global consumer interest for the luxury hospitality industry grew 7.7% in one year.
The numbers don´t lie, the luxury hotels industry is growing fast. But, are they positioning themselves
correctly in the consumer s head? Are they targeting the right client segment? And what are the triggers
they use to attract their consumers?
To answer these questions, I chose two luxury hotels brands. I will evaluate and compare them covering
the brands personalities and positioning, and analyze what these brands do to motivate the consumers in
their purchase decision. The two brands chosen were The Ritz Carlton and the South African Lodge
Londolozi. These very different choices were made considering The Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards
definition of Luxury Hotel; it defines them as those that provide a memorable experience through
virtually flawless service and the finest of amenities. In these hotels, the staff is perceptive, involved
and passionate, willing to go that extra mile. They were both designed with the guest s comfort in mind,
investing special attention to quality.

Analysis Of Kim And Mauborgne And Their Blue Ocean Strategy
Introduction:
In the early 21st century, the economic and social context became difficult; it is partly due to the
economic crisis but also by the low consumption. Many companies are struggling to find their place or
event to remain sustainable. Faced to this global economic uncertainty and increased taxes that effect
revenues, the customers; me and you, prefer to save rather than consume. Furthermore, the household
income allocated to consumption continues to decline. In addition to that, this situation makes the
consumers more volatile, looking just for the low cost or even a good plan». Meanwhile, companies are
also struggling to maintain the growth. So then they try to drastically cut costs or suggest different
offers without an added value.
Based on this general assumption, the conventional models including porter s strategic management
seem to have had their day. However, other theories have been created to try to change and renew the
components of market. This is the case of Kim and Mauborgne and their blue ocean strategy which
represented a revolution in the competitive market. This strategic paradigm is presented as a revolution!
Its implementation will lead the company adapted to success by creating new demand and avoiding
competition. This strategy seems to be similar to a dream, do not worry! The dream is overtaken by
reality.
This report is a critical review of Blue Ocean strategy. It examines and explains both the blue ocean and
porter s model as a

A Thousand Splendid Suns By Khaled Hosseini Essay
Humans have been on Earth for over 200,000 years. We have constantly been evolving and adapting to
our surroundings throughout time, and we still do to this day. When reflecting on the subject, the
question of why have we been successful? comes about. It can be argued that a significant aspect of our
success as a species is our incredible ability to adapt. Furthermore, our adaptability itself is an evolving
characteristic; as our race progresses, so does our ability to adapt. Despite the many positive features
from our adaptability, the speed in which we adapt can lead to instability within society.
Nowadays, the desire to succeed and expand our species is fierce. There seems to be a worldwide
competition to be the best or at the top of society. This hunger for the elite spot pressures societies to
rapidly advance, which ultimately produces instability and division. When elements of society such as
politics or economics are erratic, a solid foundation cannot be formed. The book A Thousand Splendid
Suns by Khaled Hosseini is an example of how a society can crumble without stability. A Thousand
Splendid Suns tells of how Afghanistan is impacted as it passes through five eras of different political
powers. The traditional culture and beliefs were altered with each governing group which generated
issues within all aspects of society. In the book, women were extremely affected. Through the characters
Mariam and Laila, readers are able to get a sense of what it felt like to be

The Code Of Ethical Conduct
Ethics in research are ideally the norms or the morals every person should adhere to when conducting
research. In essence, ethics in research entails conducting research in a way that the method or
procedure employed, the purpose of the research and the way one publishes his or her research findings
adheres or exemplifies good conduct. This alludes to the notion that moral rules and professionalism
extends to even the collection of research objects, analysis of the same, and publication of gathered
information about the research objects for purposes of distributing to third parties.
Generally, ethical standards even in other aspects of life tend to be ungoverned by law and only
observed by individuals through their conscience ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of them is that the researchers should not have been forced into the research. They should be
undertaking it free from undue pressure. This principle, otherwise referred to as principle of voluntary
participation, will ensure the autonomy of the participants which is a very vital element in the process of
research. Another principle is that the research should be of such a value that it outweighs the potential
risks or probable harm that the researchers will face. Also, the participants should be sufficiently
informed in regards to all aspects of the research. (Apa.org, 2015)
In essence, ethics in research are of great significance. Firstly, it promotes the purpose of the research.
Different researches are conducted for different purposes and for different audiences. In the world of
academics, ethics in research are key in promoting the research s objective. The findings of the research
becomes more reliable and the researcher comes off as one with dignity and integrity. This also helps to
create a good relationship between the researcher and the consumers of his or her academic work or also
if the research was intended for an academic assignment, the researcher s credibility is enhanced.
(Deakin.edu.au, 2015) More often than not, a research that is guided by ethics will have its purpose
based on good deeds. These deeds includes academic purposes such undertaking assignments,
correcting an erroneous piece of information,

Beach Volleyball vs. Indoor Volleyball

Illustration/Compare Contrast
Indoor and Beach Volleyball have gained immense popularity over the years. They re both very fun
sports that anyone at any age can enjoy. Although most people would think both sports are the same, the
truth is they are very different. The environment, rules of play and the collegiate opportunities that
many players have are a few of the main components that separate these sports. Indoor volleyball was
invented in Holyoke Massachusetts by William G. Morgan on February 9, 1895. Originally, the sport
was known as Mintonette until it was changed a year later to volleyball which it is still known as today.

Too Much Power In Tommy Douglas And George Orwell s Animal...
Have you ever thought about power and what it does when there is too much of it? In the book Animal
Farm and the short story Mousland, one group has too much power and it influences the rules; which
shows the theme that if there is too much power in one group there is no equality within the rules. The
authors of Animal Farm and Mousland use the narrative techniques of characterization and conflict to
illustrate political messages, about power influencing, how the rules affect equality.
The authors Tommy Douglas and George Orwell use characterization to show the political message that
too much power affects the rules that affect equality. In the book Animal Farm the animals have taken
over the farm from the humans and started producing their own goods. In the book Animal Farm, page
35 it says, The animals had assumed as a matter of course that these would be shared out equally; one
day, however, the order went forth that all the windfalls were to be collected and brought to the harness
room for the use of the pigs... You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this in spirit of selfless
and privilege? ... Our sole object in taking these things is to preserve our health. Milk and apples (this
has been proved by science, comrades) contain substances absolutely necessary to the well being of a
pig. We pigs are the brainworkers. This shows how Orwell uses the actions of the pigs and their
reasoning for those actions to characterize them as selfish and using their

Public Law Framers
Public law is the relationship between the government and its constituents. The Court has been a key
player in ensuring the majority rule, the Framers envisioned. The Court is not only an officer over
governmental actions, but ensures fundamental freedoms. The Court is the mediator to issues between
the people and the government. The Supreme Court asserts judicial responsibility in addressing the
concerns of the people in times of crisis. Judicial intervention is necessary and thus has become a
powerful branch with vast influence over the executive and legislative. The Framers understood that the
Constitution could not answer all questions or resolve all the problems that would arise throughout
history. They trusted that the future generations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The framers are often criticized for its sparse references to freedoms and liberties and while there are
various explanations why they did not include these rights; it definitely called for ratification (Epstein

speech, press, religion and petition (Epstein Walker 2015, 775). Amendment II, defined the right to keep
and bear arms. Amendment III defined the conditions for quarter of soldiers. Amendment IV, regulated
the right of search and seizure. Amendment V stated provisions concerning prosecution. Amendment
VI, defined the right to a speedy and fair trial. Amendment VII was the right to a trial by jury.
Amendment VIII discussed excessive bail and cruel or unusual punishment. Amendment IX was the

Gandhi s Life and Legacy Throughout the course of history there have been many influential leaders
that have stressed the use of non violence and civil disobedience including Mohandas Karamchand
Gandhi. Gandhi was a very influential and inspiring leader that was able to lead billions of people. He
was willing to give up everything for what he believed in even though he knew that his actions could
possibly lead to imprisonment and other legal consequences. Gandhi s bravery and perseverance led to
changes that affected and influenced the whole world and brought about positive change for people
whose voices would have went unheard. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869,
in Porbandar, Kathiawar, India. Gandhi s father was the chief minister in different parts of India and his
mother was very devoted to religion. Gandhi followed in both of his parents footsteps by devoting
himself to religion and later pursuing an education and career in the law field. Also, at the age of
thirteen he had an arranged marriage to a girl named Kasturba Makanji. After his marriage, Gandhi
rebelled against his mother and stopped practicing Jainism and worshipping the Hindu God Vishnu.
Jainism is an ancient religion in India that is based on morals and it stresses non violence, fasting,
meditation and vegetarianism (Mahatma Gandhi). Later in life, Gandhi traveled to London, England to

Essay about A Biography of Josephine Baker
A Biography of Josephine Baker
Josephine Baker was born Freda Josephine MacDonald in St. Louis, Missouri to her unwed parents:
Carrie McDonald and Eddie Carson. Her father soon left the family and Josephine had to help her
mother support herself and her three younger half siblings. At age eight, she got a job working as a maid
for a white family (Robinson). At age 12, she had dropped out of school to work. By age 14, she had
moved out, been married, and separated from her first husband. She would later go onto marry and
divorce three more men. Never was she financially dependent on any man, including her husbands.
Her stage career began in 1919 in the United States when she toured with The Jones Family Band and ...

In 1936, Josephine attempted a return to the United States to star in the Ziegfield Follies. Due to the still
prevalent racism in the United States, she was greeted with negative reviews. Americans were not yet
ready to embrace a black woman as sophisticated and powerful, despite her success in Europe (About).
Just a few years later, World War II spread across Europe. Josephine helped out France in every way she
could: performing for troops, being an honorable correspondent for the French Resistance (smuggling
secret messages), and serving as a sub lieutenant in the Women s Auxiliary Air Force (About). For her
efforts, she was later awarded the Medal of the Resistance with Rosette and dubbed a Chevalier of the
Legion of Honor by the French government.
In the 50s and 60s, Josephine returned to the United States to help fight racism. She refused to perform
in any club or theatre that was not integrated (Lewis). This resulted in the breaking of the color bar in
many establishments, especially in Las Vegas. May 20 was named Josephine Baker day by the NAACP
for her efforts. Part of her fight against racism came in the form of the Rainbow Tribe. She adopted 12
children to demonstrate that children of different ethnicities and religions could still be brothers
(About). The children would sometimes

Team Analysis
The most important thing while working in a team is teamwork which is essential factor which can lead
to success of the team. The team members should put the team goals in front of personal goals that will
lead to team success. There are many things we can learn from working in a team. Some of the essential
skills and knowledge we can learn from working in a team are communication skills and leadership
skills. Furthermore, since we can learn a lot and develop our knowledge and skills, I enjoy working in a

achieve highest productivity, we meet daily and update on the status of our tasks. It has been a very
good experience for me since I am getting the opportunity to exercise my skills and knowledge and at
the same time improve the same by giving some of my insights and getting feedbacks. If I was a leader
of the team, I will be actively involved in all the meetings including planning the team goals. In the
meeting, we will distribute tasks equally among each other. Furthermore, to make it more effective, I
will also focus on maintaining good communication between the team. A good communication is
necessary to make sure the team members know about the approach to the project and have clear vision
about the required tasks to meet the objective. This enables a team of work effectively and efficiently to

Ap European Film Essay
Europe is the home of many nations. It is also the home of philosophical, political and cultural
movements. Mainly because of its advantage of having a western civilization before anyone else is
currently named as the Old Continent (Lewis and Wigen, 1997, p.29). The fact that there is a
considerate amount of movements of all classes in Europe created many borders and national
sentiments. Although in recent times and culturally speaking, and in film specifically, there is a defined
map that splits the industry in two: Hollywood, which is popular entertainment, the norm or the classic ,
and Europe, which is art; this is seen in the study of film as a cultural phenomenon, film theory, where
the studies are well stablished in Britain and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The creation of this homogenous world causes a bubble where the integration of national economies,
markets and cultures concedes to an essentially American dominated culture (Wayne, 2002, p.2). This
import and export of culture, the bubble, and alimented by Globalization itself, brings about that
Hollywood captures around 70% of British film market, for example, and the British film industry
captures only 1% of the American market (Elliot, 2000). Jameson comes to the problematic assertion
that consumption of Hollywood films breaks up the seamless web of habits and habitual practices of a
national culture.
A critique of this argument was made by John Tomlinson where he notes that discussions of cultural
domination often locate the media as central to cultural imperialism (Tomlinson, 1991, p.29). It seems
that when we reach a higher level of Globalization the enemy of the difference is the transnational
system itself (Jameson, 1998, p.74). This all come to the fact that Hollywood films playing in European
cinemas or in television makes a clear distinction between media products (films, television, radio,
books...) and culture (repertoire of a national meaning). In this particular aspect Tomlinson notes that:
media texts of Western origin are massively present in other cultures. But the key question is, does this
presence represent cultural imperialism? Clearly the sheer presence alone does not. A text does not
become culturally significant until it is read (Tomlinson, 1991,

Foreshadowing In Of Mice And Men
The deaths of Lennie Small and John Coffey were foreshadowed throughout both novella and film,
respectively. Lennie s death is foreshadowed by the death of Candy s dog. Candy s dog was old and
therefore suffering. Carlson, one of the migrant workers shoots the dog, directly through the head. After
the death of his dog, Candy becomes extremely lonely. He regrets letting Carlson shoot his dog and
wished that he had done it himself. Just like the dog, Lennie is also shot through the back of the head.

In the first chapter of Of Mice and Men , George discovers that Lennie had been keeping dead mice in
his pocket. Lennie insists on an unlikely story, that the mice were already dead when he found them.
This shows the audience that although Lennie does not mean to kill the mice, it keeps recurring because
he is completely unaware of his own strength. Later on in the story, Lennie kills one of Slim s puppies.
He was warned to be gentle and keep the pup with its mother but didn t listen. These scenes keep
building and building until the climax of the novella, when Lennie breaks the neck of Curley s wife and
kills her. During the film The Green Mile there is frequent foreshadowing of the powers that John
Coffey possesses. The first sign of John s magic is at the start of the film, when he is seen holding the
bodies of the two dead girls and crying. Although the magic is not clear at the time, the audience is able
to look back upon that scene and realise that John was trying to heal the two girls, not hurt them. When
John first gets to the Green Mile, Paul has an extremely painful UTI. John is able to take Paul s UTI
onto himself and regurgitate it out in the form of flies. This is the first obvious sign of his magic. Later
on in the book, John uses slightly more magic when Percy steps on Mr. Jingles the mouse and kills him.

Dangers Of Earthquakes
1. What are some of the dangers of having an earthquake in large cities? There are many significant
dangers of having earthquakes in large cities such as
Large amounts of people being at risk
Lots of large structures such as buildings
Set off landslides
Tsunamis
The devastation of the Earthquake can differ depending on the location and environment of the country
the Earthquake occurs. Countries that have fault lines close to the ocean are more at risk of having large
Tsunamis. These waves can reach speeds of up to 500 kilometres per hour and cause massive
devastation to anything in their path (ABC 2017). Some places such as New Zealand are more likely to
have things such as landslides since the country has large amounts of hills and countryside.
2. What are 2 ways to make building that survive earthquakes? You may include a diagram to help you
explain. 1. Buildings are designed to support the walls, roof and all the stuff inside to keep them
standing. Earthquakes present a lateral/sideways, load to the building structure that is a bit more
complicated to prepare for. One way to make a simple structure more resistant to a quake is to tie the
walls, floor, roof, and foundations into a rigid box that holds together when shaken by a quake
(Imagination Station 2017)
2. Using materials that can bend without breaking helps make buildings more shock absorbent.

The Downfalls of Topshop
Weaknesses
Production Facilities Topshop is among many companies around the globe that uses cheap labour, or as
many people call it, slave labour , to produce the items being sold in their stores. The use of unethical
labour can cast an unfavorable company image, which in turn may cause customers to shop elsewhere.
Product Line/Store Management Topshop is a large company, with numerous product lines and
extensive staffing requirements. This contributes to high management costs.
Narrow Demographic Topshop caters to women in the 18 35 year age group. This is a weakness because
there is a large market they are not addressing.
Customer Service Topshop has a bad reputation for their customer service. Due to their size and large
volume of customers, it is difficult to provide individualized customer service. Also, it is difficult to
train staff to be knowledgeable on such a wide range of products.
Website needs Improvement Topshop also has a poor, difficult to navigate website. Customers have
difficulty with the Graphical User Interface which greatly inhibits the efficiency of the online shopping

All non Muslims governments and parties in the world are against Jihad because they are likely to

financial, energy and defence sectors (The White House, 2014). The measures imposed by the United
States are expected to increase Russia s political isolation as well as increasing the economic costs to

Evidence Based Management Essay
This essay is going to analyze the article titled What s the Evidence on Evidence Based Management?
by Trish Reay, Whitney Berta, and Melanie Kazman Kohn that was written in 2009. The article was a
systematic review of the available literature in response to increasing advocacy for the application of
evidence based management (EBMgt). The authors were driven by three overarching research
objectives: (I) to find out whether there was adequate literature about the concept of EBMgt, (II) to
evaluate the quality of existing evidence (literature) concerning EBMgt, and (III) to find out whether
there is a correlation between employing EBMgt and improved organizational performance.
The Author s Ability to Explain Why the Study According to the authors of the article, their systematic
review was necessitated by the increased call for EBMgt. They note that there are a number of eloquent

Eating Disorders are a Mental Illness
Eating disorders are mental illnesses that involve an obsession with food, extremely unhealthy eating
behaviors and a distorted body image. They are complicated, serious disorders. The group that eating
disorders affects the most are typically girls through the ages of sixteen and twenty years old. Although
teenage eating disorders are typically believed to be caused by depression or genetic factors, social
media has worsened the problem by the huge increase in peer pressure girls endure due to the
widespread use of sites such as Twitter and Instagram. Eating disorders are real, complex and

The Effect Of Outdoor Two Stroke Power Equipment
Abstract:
The emissions from two stroke outdoor power equipment, light terrestrial vehicles, and marine vehicles
are a significant detriment to air quality, human health, and the environment. Due to the mechanical
nature two stroke engines operations, engines running on fuel oil mixtures that have been blended from
biologically based oils generate far less Green House Gas emissions than two stroke engines running
fuel oil mixtures blended from more traditional petroleum based outdoor power equipment oil.
Preliminary results of previous research support the hypothesis that equipment running on bio synthetic
fuel oil blends emits drastically lower amounts of Hydrocarbons, Nitrogen Oxides, and Carbon
Monoxide than equipment operating exclusively on petroleum based fuel oil mixtures. In addition,
qualitative factors such as the color and smell of the exhaust fumes, and differences in engine
performance have also been monitored and recorded. These data have been gathered in two separate and
complimentary stages where the results were accumulated, condensed, and analyzed with the objective
of discovering differences in the emissions and engine performance of Outdoor Two Stroke Power
Equipment (OPE) running on petroleum based oil versus bio synthetic oil.

Review Of Writing A Wall Street Op
To begin with, Flash Boys is terrible. It is not just a major whiff, but a travesty. And it really ticked me

Lewis had a major incentive to over hype the story, as he all but admitted. I fully agree with Cliff
Asness of AQR Capital, who wrote in a Wall Street op ed: Making mountains out of molehills sells
more books than a study of molehills. That is more or less what happened here. Lewis wanted to sell a
lot of books. He wanted to capture lightning in a bottle (to use his own phrase). He captured
irresponsible hyperbole instead.

The Workplace Of A Corporation Can Be Categorized As Four...
In the workplace, people are often asked to work as a group to get their cases done, especially when
they are facing some big, complicated and tough projects. Theoretically, the majority of people will
choose someone who has stronger ability to solve problems and accomplish works to work with.
Nonetheless, in more cases in reality, people tend to prefer the popular and the likable other than the
qualified. So here s the point: In real life, people would prefer likability over competency. The article
basically illustrated a rule that all the employees in a corporation can be categorized as four archetypes:
the competent jerk, who is competent yet hard to work with; the lovable fool, who s lovely but knows
quite little; the lovable star, who is both acknowledged and likable; and the incompetent jerk:
disappointing to work with yet knows nothing. As the authors summarized in this article, on the basis of
their research among varying sizes and purposes companies in both North America and Europe
illustrated, no matter in which industry and what kind of corporations, people are always willing to
work with a likable star but never an incompetent fool. What is more, their research further proved that
no matter how smart and qualified a person was, as long as he was considered extremely disappointing
to work with ,nobody would work with that unlikable person. As we ve known that in real workplaces,
people generally prefer the lovable fool when facing the selection between a

Mutation is a change in the nucleotide sequence of an organism s DNA thus forming new alleles. Even
it involves only change in a single base, whether it be insertion, deletion or substitution the effects are
significant. The severity of the frame shift depends on how far down the DNA base sequence the
mutation occurs (Crick, 1961). It gives rise to the changes in genotype and therefore different phenotype
will be expressed. Sometimes mutations can occur in noncoding proteins region and bring no effect to
the phenotypic characteristic. This is known as neutral variation. Mutation is a random and spontaneous
process during DNA duplication. The formation of a harmful protein may be disadvantageous to the
organism. Selection pressure will remove these alleles and it will not be passed on the next generations.
On rare occasion, a mutant allele brings advantage to the bearer by making it better adapted to the
environment thus increasing the reproductive success. For example, Patagona gigas living in Andean
Highlands, an oxygen poor region in South Africa which is 16,000 feet above sea level, experienced
identical mutation independently and not by interbreeding. The mutation change their haemoglobin
gene make it easier for oxygen to bind (Projecto Garcia, 2013). Hence high altitude hummingbirds have
adaptive oxygen binding traits to live in higher elevation zone.

Euthanasi Ethical And Legal Issues Within The Australian...
Introduction
Modern medicine and contemporary society are frequently confronted with contentious decisions.
Perhaps no decision is more challenging to reconcile than that of euthanasia. The legalisation of
euthanasia continues to be passionately debated. It has been a pertinent issue in human rights discourse
as it affects ethical and legal issues pertaining to both the patient and the health care practitioner
(Bartels Otlowski, 2010).
The following essay will define euthanasia and make the distinction between active, passive, voluntary,
non voluntary, involuntary euthanasia and physician assisted suicide. Relevant legal issues within the
Australian context will then be discussed. Ethical issues such as sanctity of life versus quality of life ,
and the slippery slope argument will also be explored. Ethical reflections regarding euthanasia will be
considered from both a deontological and consequentialist perspective. Finally, personal opinion will be
expressed based on ethical considerations.
What is Euthanasia?
Euthanasia means good death from the Greek word eu (good) and thanatos (death) (Bartels Otlowski,
2010). According to prominent Australian philosopher Peter Singer, euthanasia refers to, the killing of
those who are incurably ill and in great pain or distress, for the sake of those killed, and in order to spare
them further suffering or distress (Singer, 1993, p.175).

Wade. According to the Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia, The Roe v. Wade case was decided on in
1973 by the U.S. Supreme Court. This decision legalized abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy. It
was created from two different cases. hat of an unmarried woman from Texas, where abortion was
illegal unless the mother s life was at risk, and that of a poor, married mother of three from Georgia,
where state law required permission for an abortion from a panel of doctors and hospital officials. While
establishing the right to an abortion, this decision gave states the right to intervene in the second and
third trimesters of pregnancy to protect the woman and the potential life of the unborn child ( Roe V.
Wade ). According to CNN Library, The Court held that a woman s right to an abortion fell within the
right to privacy (recognized in Griswold v. Connecticut) protected by the Fourteenth Amendment. The
decision gave a woman a right to abortion during the entirety of the pregnancy and defined different
levels of state interest for regulating abortion in the second and third trimesters. The ruling affected laws
in 46 states ( Roe v. Wade Fast Facts CNN.com ). There were also several other court cases about

anyone, no matter the size, like how nature is so dangerous that it can pose a threat on any one. Judith
Wright makes it clear that nature is strong enough to impose a threat on humans so that means that we
should respect nature for what it can do to us, and a snake is used as a metaphor to represents

Informative Essay On Supernatural
Informative Essay
Supernatural is a television series produced by Warner Bros. staring Jared Padaleki and Jensen Ackles.
The show is about two brothers who hunt supernatural (hints the name) things. Jared plays the little
brother, Sam Winchester, and Jensen plays the big brother Dean Winchester. Sam and Dean s mother
was killed on Sam s 6 month birthday by a special demon with yellow eyes. The demon went into Sam s
room and Mary went to check on him. When she saw a figure standing there, she assumed it was her
husband John Winchester, until she went downstairs and saw John watching TV. She immediately knew
that Sam was in trouble but when she went in Sam s room she was thrown to the ceiling and burned.
John saved the boys and was bent on revenge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This also means there is 11 complete seasons, and they are filming season 12 now. Each season had its
own problem, but they are all connected, making the show complicated but really good (in my opinion).
Each season has around 20 23 episodes. If you watch it on the TV, it plays on Thursdays, 7:00 8:00
central time, on The CW. Supernatural is around the top 9th longest running TV show. Jensen and Jared
(the main characters) both have things they support, like charities. They both have charities, and
campaigns they start. Jensen has three children and a wife. Jared has two children and a wife. Fun fact:
Jared s wife, Genevieve Cortese, was actually on the show, playing a demon named

Logical Data Model
Part 2: Logical Data Model and its DBMS Products:
2.1 Logical Data Model:
A logical data model is a data model for a particular problem are presented related to a specific data
management technology. Without being specific to a particular DBMS product, it describes the data as
much as details (Watt and Eng 2014). As we mentioned before, there is another type of DBMS involved
in the logical data model such as hierarchical data model and network data model, which will be
discussed in the following.
2.2 Hierarchical data models and its products:
Hierarchical data model suggests that if the relationships between data in the database are established
that one data item could be described as the subordinate of another one. Products based on ... Show

(Microsoft 2011).
2.3 Network data models and its products:
Network DBMS is a database that describes a flexible way of presentation in forms of objects and their
relationships, which was created by Charles Bachman and improved into standard form in 1961(Watt
and Eng 2014).
The Frist product based on network data model is Raima Database Manager (RDM). RDM is an
embedded database management system that can be used in embedded systems. It was created by
Raima Company in 1984 and it was one of the first microcomputer network model database
management, which is provided for C language applications (RAIMA 2017). The most recent functions
involve database mirroring use to support highly available (HA) systems, database replication, multi
version concurrency with read only transactions and etc. (RAIMA 2017). RDM Server includes the
following functional features. First, it is a kind of transaction file server that supports the processing and
managing of database files on a given medium (RAIMA 2017), which can also be considered as a
database controller. Second, its database unions provide a consistent view of various identically
structured databases(RAIMA 2017), which providing a single appearance of the large database. This
could increase the processing capacity. Another feature could be introduced is encryption (RAIMA
2017). RDM requires all data to be encrypted before it is transferred through a network and enter the
database files, which ensure the security of the

Persuasive Essay On Transracial Adoption
Adoption is the social, emotional, and legal process in which children who will not be raised by their
birth parents become full and permanent legal members of another family while maintaining genetic
and sometimes psychological connections to their birth family (www.childwelfare.gov). Transracial
adoption, or adopting outside one s own race, has become prevalent in today s society, especially among
celebrities. For example, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, are White celebrities, who have adopted multiple
children of varied races including African and Asian. This trend of transracial adoption has sparked
global debates as to whether or not celebrities and other individuals should adopt children that are not of
the same race. Many people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW), for example, argue that transracial
adoption is, in essence, a form of race and cultural genocide, claiming that children will not develop
proper skills to survive in a society that is racially biased specifically against them. As a result the
NABSW passed a resolution in 1972 calling for an end to the transracial adoption of African American
children (Lee 2015). The NABSW feels that Black children should be raised by Black parents and
express concern that Black children raised in White homes would fail to develop effective coping
strategies to deal with racism and discrimination and would experience subsequent identity conflicts as
they grew older. The idea is that the very basis of the upbringing does not convey the true thoughts,
ideas and behaviors of the real world . In addition to the argument against transracial adoption, the
NABSW also challenges traditional adoption practices and raises questions about institutionalized
racism within the adoption profession. They question the criteria and the basic existing evaluation
criteria for prospective adoptive couples that routinely prevented Black families from qualifying, and
stated that even though prospective Black adoptive families did exist, adoption agencies were not only
failing to recruit them and were, in fact, denying them in favor of white

The And International Monetary Fund
Living Below the Line The majority of the world s nations and people are in a state of poverty. Most in
debt nations are a result of guidelines set by global establishments that use the nation s desperation to
their advantage. Also, many causes of hunger result in poverty. Additionally, the world as a whole has
spent unfathomable amounts of money for wants, when achieving basic necessities for developing
countries is far less. Poverty would not have to exist if the developed world was not greedy to satisfy
and only concerned with their own wants. As an outcome of neoliberalism circumstances set by global
institutions, such as the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF), many nations have been in
debt and in poverty since they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a result, governments then need to increase exports just to keep their currencies stable [and in order
to do so,] governments therefore must spend less, reduce consumption... (Shah). In reality, the financial
assistance provided actually worsens the poverty and keeps the nation for attaining financial stability.
Another notion is for developing nations to advertise their resources to have investors interested and to
bring in money, however many other developing nations might advertise the same resource. The battle
between the nations can lead to a price war. Poor countries need to pay off their debts and the best way
to do is to export more resources. Developing nations desperately need the money and to obtain it [they
enter the global market] before they are economically and socially stable and ready and told to
concentrate on similar cash crops and commodities as others, the situation resembles a large scale price
war (Shah). Once again, this favours the West instead of making a significant change in the status of
poor regions. The developing countries will lower their prices to make them more appealing to potential
investors. As a realistic solution, I would suggest for governments to put laws that would allow them to
have more control over their own resources and industries. They need to set laws where the developing
region s government is required to have a certain level of involvement in global affairs. In addition to
the laws, I believe that the

However, adverse side effects attributed to drugs containing statin, pushed consumers to begin looking
for better, much safer alternative drugs to lower cholesterol levels. The use of stenols in containing the

can reduce the risk of contracting heart attack. The supplements that came into the market following the

was conducted by McGill University in Montreal, Canada. In the study involving 32 subjects, patients
who took 1.g a day of Reducol branded sitosterol with sterol combination recorded a remarkable LDL
reduction of up to 24% compared to a reduction of 9% for those who relied on low fat diet. In the study,
no remarkable increases in plasma sterol was recorded, a fact that suggests the sterols were not

What this article is about is the ticket sales and the secondary prices in two of college football
postseason games. The two games that they are focused on is the 2014 Rose bowl which was the game
between Stanford and Michigan State and the BCS Championship game between Auburn and Florida
State. In between one week worth of action the Rose Bowl and the BCS Championship game was
played. The main things in this article that they were looking for is distance traveled and sightlines for
seating can raise the ticket prices for a college football game. In the introduction of this article they talk
about inelastic ticket pricing and how behavior is not counted for maximizing profit. This is before the 4
team playoff system started so, they talk about how BCS selected teams for the bowl games and the

They are not going to be teams like Alabama, Texas, or Notre Dame that going to play in a

fans all over the country than teams like Boise State, North Dakota State, San Diego St, etc. Those three
teams that I just name all have good football team but if they have to go across country to go watch
postseason play are the fans going to come or will the trip be too expensive for them. On a dart board in
terms of reliable, this would be in the middle, because what about teams like Miami that can get the
Orange Bowl and be right there in Miami. Another team is University of Southern California or UCLA
and play in the Rose Bowl which would be like a home game for them. I believe that this source is
objective because they do come up with their answers with help from other sources that have been

expenditures (Spielvogel, P. 517). Since nobles were an important and powerful part of the society, both
Louis and Peter tried to integrate them in the main body of the government hence, preventing
oppositions and maintaining stability in their governments. Louis XIV widened his control over higher
and provincial nobility by creating the court of aristocrats and summoning the nobles to take up
residence in Versailles. This made it easier for him to keep them under his eyes (Spielvogel, P. 509).
Peter on the other hand, created Table of Ranks to force nobles to enter into government service in the
bureaucracy, army and navy (Lim, P. 99). Therefore, treating them as commoners and devaluing the
importance of their nobility. While talking about ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the beginning of the seventeenth century, Spain possessed the most populous empire in the world,
controlling almost all Africa. To most Europeans, Spain still seemed the greatest power of the age, but
the reality was quite different: the treasury was empty (Spielvogel P 512). A major political
development inspired by growing nationalism was the alliance of small states into two central new
nations: Italy and Germany. Before the second half of the 19th century, Italy was a collection of city
states that were only loosely allied with one another. The German Confederation was created by the
Congress of Vienna in 1815, but it had been controlled by the Austrian and Prussian Empires. In 1848
major rebellions broke out within the confederation, inspired by liberals who envisioned a German
nation ruled by parliamentary government. The revolutions failed, and many liberals fled the country,
but they proved to be an excuse for the Prussian army to invade other parts of the Confederation. The
Prussian military leader was Otto von Bismarck, who subjugated the rebels and declared the beginning

  • 2. Choosing The Forbes Travel Guide Star This means that every month for the last 2 years, 6.2 new luxury hotel were built in the world. Hotels where each guest may easily fancy himself as prince surrounded by a flock of courtiers (Sherman, 2007, p. 26) are being required more and more every day. The World Luxury Index (2014) revealed that the global consumer interest for the luxury hospitality industry grew 7.7% in one year. The numbers don´t lie, the luxury hotels industry is growing fast. But, are they positioning themselves correctly in the consumer s head? Are they targeting the right client segment? And what are the triggers they use to attract their consumers? To answer these questions, I chose two luxury hotels brands. I will evaluate and compare them covering the brands personalities and positioning, and analyze what these brands do to motivate the consumers in their purchase decision. The two brands chosen were The Ritz Carlton and the South African Lodge Londolozi. These very different choices were made considering The Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards definition of Luxury Hotel; it defines them as those that provide a memorable experience through virtually flawless service and the finest of amenities. In these hotels, the staff is perceptive, involved and passionate, willing to go that extra mile. They were both designed with the guest s comfort in mind, investing special attention to quality. • 3. Analysis Of Kim And Mauborgne And Their Blue Ocean Strategy Introduction: In the early 21st century, the economic and social context became difficult; it is partly due to the economic crisis but also by the low consumption. Many companies are struggling to find their place or event to remain sustainable. Faced to this global economic uncertainty and increased taxes that effect revenues, the customers; me and you, prefer to save rather than consume. Furthermore, the household income allocated to consumption continues to decline. In addition to that, this situation makes the consumers more volatile, looking just for the low cost or even a good plan». Meanwhile, companies are also struggling to maintain the growth. So then they try to drastically cut costs or suggest different offers without an added value. Based on this general assumption, the conventional models including porter s strategic management seem to have had their day. However, other theories have been created to try to change and renew the components of market. This is the case of Kim and Mauborgne and their blue ocean strategy which represented a revolution in the competitive market. This strategic paradigm is presented as a revolution! Its implementation will lead the company adapted to success by creating new demand and avoiding competition. This strategy seems to be similar to a dream, do not worry! The dream is overtaken by reality. This report is a critical review of Blue Ocean strategy. It examines and explains both the blue ocean and porter s model as a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. A Thousand Splendid Suns By Khaled Hosseini Essay Humans have been on Earth for over 200,000 years. We have constantly been evolving and adapting to our surroundings throughout time, and we still do to this day. When reflecting on the subject, the question of why have we been successful? comes about. It can be argued that a significant aspect of our success as a species is our incredible ability to adapt. Furthermore, our adaptability itself is an evolving characteristic; as our race progresses, so does our ability to adapt. Despite the many positive features from our adaptability, the speed in which we adapt can lead to instability within society. Nowadays, the desire to succeed and expand our species is fierce. There seems to be a worldwide competition to be the best or at the top of society. This hunger for the elite spot pressures societies to rapidly advance, which ultimately produces instability and division. When elements of society such as politics or economics are erratic, a solid foundation cannot be formed. The book A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini is an example of how a society can crumble without stability. A Thousand Splendid Suns tells of how Afghanistan is impacted as it passes through five eras of different political powers. The traditional culture and beliefs were altered with each governing group which generated issues within all aspects of society. In the book, women were extremely affected. Through the characters Mariam and Laila, readers are able to get a sense of what it felt like to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In essence, ethics in research entails conducting research in a way that the method or procedure employed, the purpose of the research and the way one publishes his or her research findings adheres or exemplifies good conduct. This alludes to the notion that moral rules and professionalism extends to even the collection of research objects, analysis of the same, and publication of gathered information about the research objects for purposes of distributing to third parties. • 7. Too Much Power In Tommy Douglas And George Orwell s Animal... Have you ever thought about power and what it does when there is too much of it? In the book Animal Farm and the short story Mousland, one group has too much power and it influences the rules; which shows the theme that if there is too much power in one group there is no equality within the rules. The authors of Animal Farm and Mousland use the narrative techniques of characterization and conflict to illustrate political messages, about power influencing, how the rules affect equality. The authors Tommy Douglas and George Orwell use characterization to show the political message that too much power affects the rules that affect equality. In the book Animal Farm the animals have taken over the farm from the humans and started producing their own goods. In the book Animal Farm, page 35 it says, The animals had assumed as a matter of course that these would be shared out equally; one day, however, the order went forth that all the windfalls were to be collected and brought to the harness room for the use of the pigs... Mainly because of its advantage of having a western civilization before anyone else is currently named as the Old Continent (Lewis and Wigen, 1997, p.29). The fact that there is a considerate amount of movements of all classes in Europe created many borders and national sentiments. Although in recent times and culturally speaking, and in film specifically, there is a defined map that splits the industry in two: Hollywood, which is popular entertainment, the norm or the classic , and Europe, which is art; this is seen in the study of film as a cultural phenomenon, film theory, where the studies are well stablished in Britain and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The creation of this homogenous world causes a bubble where the integration of national economies, markets and cultures concedes to an essentially American dominated culture (Wayne, 2002, p.2). This import and export of culture, the bubble, and alimented by Globalization itself, brings about that Hollywood captures around 70% of British film market, for example, and the British film industry captures only 1% of the American market (Elliot, 2000). Jameson comes to the problematic assertion that consumption of Hollywood films breaks up the seamless web of habits and habitual practices of a national culture. A critique of this argument was made by John Tomlinson where he notes that discussions of cultural domination often locate the media as central to cultural imperialism (Tomlinson, 1991, p.29). It seems that when we reach a higher level of Globalization the enemy of the difference is the transnational system itself (Jameson, 1998, p.74). This all come to the fact that Hollywood films playing in European cinemas or in television makes a clear distinction between media products (films, television, radio, books...) and culture (repertoire of a national meaning). In this particular aspect Tomlinson notes that: media texts of Western origin are massively present in other cultures. But the key question is, does this presence represent cultural imperialism? Clearly the sheer presence alone does not. A text does not become culturally significant until it is read (Tomlinson, 1991, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Product Line/Store Management Topshop is a large company, with numerous product lines and extensive staffing requirements. This contributes to high management costs. Narrow Demographic Topshop caters to women in the 18 35 year age group. This is a weakness because there is a large market they are not addressing. Customer Service Topshop has a bad reputation for their customer service. Due to their size and large volume of customers, it is difficult to provide individualized customer service. Also, it is difficult to train staff to be knowledgeable on such a wide range of products. Website needs Improvement Topshop also has a poor, difficult to navigate website. Customers have difficulty with the Graphical User Interface which greatly inhibits the efficiency of the online shopping experience. Even it involves only change in a single base, whether it be insertion, deletion or substitution the effects are significant. The severity of the frame shift depends on how far down the DNA base sequence the mutation occurs (Crick, 1961). It gives rise to the changes in genotype and therefore different phenotype will be expressed. Sometimes mutations can occur in noncoding proteins region and bring no effect to the phenotypic characteristic. This is known as neutral variation. Mutation is a random and spontaneous process during DNA duplication. The formation of a harmful protein may be disadvantageous to the organism. Selection pressure will remove these alleles and it will not be passed on the next generations. On rare occasion, a mutant allele brings advantage to the bearer by making it better adapted to the environment thus increasing the reproductive success. For example, Patagona gigas living in Andean Highlands, an oxygen poor region in South Africa which is 16,000 feet above sea level, experienced identical mutation independently and not by interbreeding. This decision legalized abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy. It was created from two different cases. hat of an unmarried woman from Texas, where abortion was illegal unless the mother s life was at risk, and that of a poor, married mother of three from Georgia, where state law required permission for an abortion from a panel of doctors and hospital officials. While establishing the right to an abortion, this decision gave states the right to intervene in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy to protect the woman and the potential life of the unborn child ( Roe V. Wade ). According to CNN Library, The Court held that a woman s right to an abortion fell within the right to privacy (recognized in Griswold v. Connecticut) protected by the Fourteenth Amendment. The decision gave a woman a right to abortion during the entirety of the pregnancy and defined different levels of state interest for regulating abortion in the second and third trimesters. The ruling affected laws in 46 states ( Roe v. Wade Fast Facts CNN.com ). There were also several other court cases about abortion that followed the Roe v. Wade case. Allison Crews, the author of this article, was much like us. She grew up in a pro life home and that was all that she knew. Her mother was very active in helping young women make the decision to not have an abortion. She protested with her mother and that is the day that her life was forever changed. Shortly after she became pregnant at a young age and fought the urge to have an abortion and refused to have an adoption regardless of what every one else wanted her to do. • 45. Persuasive Essay On Transracial Adoption Adoption is the social, emotional, and legal process in which children who will not be raised by their birth parents become full and permanent legal members of another family while maintaining genetic and sometimes psychological connections to their birth family (www.childwelfare.gov). Transracial adoption, or adopting outside one s own race, has become prevalent in today s society, especially among celebrities. For example, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, are White celebrities, who have adopted multiple children of varied races including African and Asian. This trend of transracial adoption has sparked global debates as to whether or not celebrities and other individuals should adopt children that are not of the same race. Many people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW), for example, argue that transracial adoption is, in essence, a form of race and cultural genocide, claiming that children will not develop proper skills to survive in a society that is racially biased specifically against them. As a result the NABSW passed a resolution in 1972 calling for an end to the transracial adoption of African American children (Lee 2015). The NABSW feels that Black children should be raised by Black parents and express concern that Black children raised in White homes would fail to develop effective coping strategies to deal with racism and discrimination and would experience subsequent identity conflicts as they grew older. The idea is that the very basis of the upbringing does not convey the true thoughts, ideas and behaviors of the real world . In addition to the argument against transracial adoption, the NABSW also challenges traditional adoption practices and raises questions about institutionalized racism within the adoption profession. They question the criteria and the basic existing evaluation criteria for prospective adoptive couples that routinely prevented Black families from qualifying, and stated that even though prospective Black adoptive families did exist, adoption agencies were not only failing to recruit them and were, in fact, denying them in favor of white ... Most in debt nations are a result of guidelines set by global establishments that use the nation s desperation to their advantage. Also, many causes of hunger result in poverty. Additionally, the world as a whole has spent unfathomable amounts of money for wants, when achieving basic necessities for developing countries is far less. Poverty would not have to exist if the developed world was not greedy to satisfy and only concerned with their own wants. As a result, governments then need to increase exports just to keep their currencies stable [and in order to do so,] governments therefore must spend less, reduce consumption... (Shah). In reality, the financial assistance provided actually worsens the poverty and keeps the nation for attaining financial stability. Another notion is for developing nations to advertise their resources to have investors interested and to bring in money, however many other developing nations might advertise the same resource. The battle between the nations can lead to a price war. Poor countries need to pay off their debts and the best way to do is to export more resources. Developing nations desperately need the money and to obtain it [they enter the global market] before they are economically and socially stable and ready and told to concentrate on similar cash crops and commodities as others, the situation resembles a large scale price war (Shah). Once again, this favours the West instead of making a significant change in the status of poor regions. The developing countries will lower their prices to make them more appealing to potential investors. As a realistic solution, I would suggest for governments to put laws that would allow them to have more control over their own resources and industries. They need to set laws where the developing region s government is required to have a certain level of involvement in global affairs. In addition to the laws, I believe that the ... Since nobles were an important and powerful part of the society, both Louis and Peter tried to integrate them in the main body of the government hence, preventing oppositions and maintaining stability in their governments. Louis XIV widened his control over higher and provincial nobility by creating the court of aristocrats and summoning the nobles to take up residence in Versailles. To most Europeans, Spain still seemed the greatest power of the age, but the reality was quite different: the treasury was empty (Spielvogel P 512). A major political development inspired by growing nationalism was the alliance of small states into two central new nations: Italy and Germany. Before the second half of the 19th century, Italy was a collection of city states that were only loosely allied with one another. The German Confederation was created by the Congress of Vienna in 1815, but it had been controlled by the Austrian and Prussian Empires. In 1848 major rebellions broke out within the confederation, inspired by liberals who envisioned a German nation ruled by parliamentary government.
