Benefits Of A New Team
When I was in Noida working for Headstrong, my team used to go out for lunch on special
occasions. As that area had quite many options, sometimes we used to be in a fix as to where to
go. Another reason for long decision making was because different people had their own tastes.
And, few of them had even been to places we were zeroing in on and didn t want to go again.
Now, that was a mess as it would delay our outings that were supposed to become a lifetime
memory for a few at least! We tried to plan well ahead in advance, but that also had issues as
people wanted to delay it to the last minute.
We primarily relied on word of mouth recommendations and what we as a team preferred the
most. All in all, it used to go just fine most of the times. However, i remember one incident when
one of our new team members strongly recommended a restaurant to which his family were
regular visitors for many years. He was giving mouthwatering description of the dishes available
there and most of us melted like butter on a parantha and were looking forward to go there.
Come the D day, being a foodie, i was especially charged up; but there was one delay after another
as few of the folks were held up in meetings. It was way past my usual lunch time and finally, we
went ahead around quarter to 3. We were all very hungry but to our utter disappointment we found
the place closed.
The colleague who had recommended us looked pretty sad and asked nearby shops if the
restaurant had closed for good.

Fear Of Madness In Hamlet
Madness, and fear of madness, are the driving factors behind the plot and character interactions
in the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare. By the end of the play, almost every main character
ends up dead as a result of the hysteria or indecisiveness of other characters. As more and more
tragic events and countless deaths occur, each character is forced to find a coping mechanism.
Some succumb to the pressure, like Ophelia, who goes mad and drowns after her father dies, but
others attempt to hide the effect the pressure has on them, like King Claudius. A deeper
examination of Claudius s emotions and behaviors reveal that his psychological state is in truth
severely damaged and has taken a toll on his actions.
After killing his brother, King ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He diagnoses this disease as Hamlet and attempts to cure himself by sending the Prince to
execution in England. ... The King is very violently affected by this play (Alexander). Unable to
deal with his own guilt and grief after murdering his brother, Claudius instead finds a scapegoat
to convince himself he has done nothing wrong. He accuses Hamlet of being mad, yet there is
madness that lies within himself. The burden of holding in the horrible action he has committed
has begun to take a toll on his well being, and the audience is finally given a glimpse into
Claudius s emotions after The Murder of Gonzago, when he attempts to pray: Pray can I not.
Though inclination be as sharp as will, my stronger guilt defeats my strong intent (3.3.42 44). The
fact that there is nothing Claudius can ever do to truly make up for what he has done finally
catches up to him, but he instead ends up using this as motivation for pursuing Hamlet s murder.
The more Hamlet pushes his buttons, the more Claudius increasingly responds with coercion and
eventually force (Keener). Every move Hamlet makes serves to convince Claudius that he is mad
and a threat that needs controlling. Claudius convinces others around him that stopping Hamlet s
madness is for the safety of the people, yet it is mainly

Similarities Between Inception And The Cave
Inception and The Cave
Imagine you are chained up from the time you are a baby all the way up until now, where all
you know and see are shadows on a cave wall. One day, you are removed, removed from
everything you thought you once knew only to find it wasn t real. This type of shock is exactly
what happened to the cave prisoners in Plato s allegory of the cave. The cave is an illusion of
reality to those within. The movie Inception takes an interesting twist on this idea of a false reality
through the exploration of multidimensional dreams.
We all want the truth, whether it s in the small things in our daily lives to the ultimate reality. When
someone is brought to look at a perspective that is outside of their box they may start to see that

Technology And Its Impact On Technology
Once the firms gets patency for their technology they can precede with their next step that is to
manufacture the product, market the product and launch the product. Once the product is out in the
market, the firm needs to monitor its product. This is a process in which the firm need to look out
for the life of the product as to if the technology is being out of date then they need to make
changes accordingly in order to cope with the market needs. But another thing which the firm
should always keep in mind is to protect their technology.
Protecting the technology mean that the firm should always be vigilant as to other firms doesn t

If a firm develops a technology then they invest a lot of time and money for that and if it is being
used by other companies they should give royalty to the developer company and if they don t then
this is one of the major losses for the company.
Asset Devalued: If the firm s innovation has been hacked or is being used by others then the
value of that asset is decreased. This is because of the a lot of fakes or thefts will be going on for
that product so if a firm wants the sell that innovation to someone then the value of it will be
degraded because of that.
Case Study
Apple and Samsung are the leading giants when it comes to telecommunication industry. They both
have created a mark in the market for its performance and durability. However there was a major
clash between the two companies which was related to patency. On January 5th 2007 which was 4
days before the IPhone was launching its phone, they filed a case against their competitor
(Samsung) that they are using the 4 design patents which were developed by Apple and these 4
design patents were related to the basic design of the phone. There was a major clash between
these two companies as it became the news all over the world. This created a lot of issues as it
affected the reputation of the company (CNET, 2014). Apple filed a law suit in United States

Kamala Markandaya s Nectar In A Sieve
The constant struggle between progress and tradition has plagued every society over the course of
human civilization. This struggle is represented in the Kamala Markandaya s novel Nectar in a
Sieve, through the tannery. The tannery represents modernization through multiple different
elements, such as industrialization and social change. The tanneryindustry brought a new way of
life to villager Rukmani and her family. Family values are a huge part of the traditional culture of
the village, but when the tannery enters the picture this all changes. As the reader sees in Rukmani

How Does Dickens Present The Portrayal Of Victorian Women
In a male dominated world, does the role of women even matter? In the Victorian era, women
were expected to be innocent, loving, and interested in their husbands business or other
affiliations. In Charles Dickens Hard Times, he portrays the Victorian society s realistic and
unrealistic views of an ideal Victorian woman in a maledominated world. Through the portrayal
of his female characters, Dickens shows the lack of morality people had during this time period,
as well as emphasizing how an ideal Victorian woman should act. Dickens example of an
idealistic Victorian woman is Sissy Jupe, while her contrast is Mrs. Sparsit. Louisa s character
however, shows the change from a nonidealistic to an idealistic Victorian woman. The several
female characters compare and contrast with each other throughout the novel and provide
evidence of which type of woman they are, as well as how they are ultimately rewarded or
punished. Sissy Jupe exemplifies the ideal Victorian woman in a maledominated Coketown.
Throughout the novel, Sissy remains a compassionate, realistic, and nurturing young woman. As a
child, Sissy does not succumb to the system of facts introduced to her by Mr. Gradgrind. She
struggles with concepts such as arithmetic or living objectively. She shares her failures at school
with Louisa who comforts her with, You are more useful to my mother, and more pleasant with
yourself than I am to myself (Dickens 55). This comment expresses how Sissy is realistic since her

Essay On Software Programmers
What They Do
A software developer designs and creates applications that can be used on electronics such as a
computer or smartphone. They will also periodically update applications once they have already
been released in order to improve upon or fix any issues they might have. These people must
have a creative mind in order to concoct an original idea. Software developers begin by making a
series of models or diagrams, such as flowcharts, regarding their idea for an application. Once that
is completed it is then handed over to a programmer who will run a code that fits the idea, and test
it. However, some companies have software developers come up with their own code and test it
themselves. These people work collaboratively in order to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Due to this, it is ideal to work in an office environment, however some software developers
telecommute, which is usually less effective but can still work. The majority of these people work
full time and work long hours, as it can take several months, or years, to fully finish a program.
Some businesses that hire software developers are Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, etc.
Pay
The median annual pay for an application software developer was $100,080. The highest ten
percent earned more than $157,590, and the lowest 10% earned less than $58,300. Developers
typically get paid a salary, but the median hourly pay comes out to just below $50, at $49.17. Most
work full time at their jobs.
Job Outlook/Opportunities
From 2014 to 2024, employment of application software developers is expected to grow by 19%.
With more technology coming out, there is an increase in the need for different software, especially
on all the new smartphones and tablets being released. Health and medical
insurance and reinsurance carriers are also going to need new, innovative software to help
manage healthcare policy enrollments and to digitally administer existing policies. Also, security
concerns regarding the cyber world may cause the need for more threat protection software to be
developed. About 135,000 jobs are expected to be created by 2024, which is a big

Isolation In Disney Pixar s Film Brave
In the Disney Pixar animated film Brave, an unconventional princess, Merida, suffers from her
own isolation her entire life as she acts contrary to how traditional royalty should. However, her
rift between who she is and who she should be comes to a head when she puts a curse on her
mother. Not only does the movie take Merida on a journey of acceptance and learning, but forces
Merida s mother, the queen, to live in exile alone in her own mind as she is transformed into a
bear. The meaning of this mental isolation goes deeper than the surface themes of Brave, as
Elinor nearly loses her humanity, revealing the impact isolation can have on one s humanity and
how dire meaningful relationships are to a functioning society as a whole. Elinor s curse is first
shown to expose this idea of isolation equating to non humanity when she and Merida are hunting
for their first meal away from the castle. Shown to be unsuccessful in finding her own food as she
tries to eat poisonous berries, Elinor is characterized as someone who relies on... Show more content

One of humanity s essential qualities is to go against the grain, so to speak. Disney subtly shows
this ideal in every character from traditionalist Elinor entertaining Merida s childhood encounter
with will o the wisps to Merida s rebellion against her betrothal. So, in this way, Elinor s struggle to
go so against the grain to maintain her humanity is made more potent. If she had simply gone with
what nature told her, she would become a full fledged bear, unthinking and only relying on instinct.
This can be seen as a direct result of isolation as the lack of relationships with other higher thinking
humans takes away the need to rely on anything besides instincts; Elinor s mental isolation and
difficulty communicating with Merida removes her relationship, thus forcing her into a more
animalistic state to

Analysis Of Jared Diamond s The Worst Mistake
In Jared Diamond s The Worst Mistake in the History of the Human Race he kicks off by telling
readers the negative effects agriculture has placed on our world that still follows us today. He
believes that with agriculture came the gross social and sexual inequality, the disease and
despotism that curse our existence and that this will continue on until a change occurs (Diamond1).
He explains the progressivist perspective as well but uses their reasoning as a way to back up his.
Diamond is correct that humans worst mistake is beginning agriculturebecause more problems
occurred than it actually solved and humans are not better off this way.
Diamond explains that our worst mistake was the transition from hunter gathers to farmers.
Diamond believes that humans were better off chasing our food rather than planting it due to the
consequences that followed after such a dramatic change of life. His reasoning expands further
out than one might think of about this subject. He talks about the social changes that were created
when agriculture began. Diamond spews empowering points that leave a reader pondering if he is
correct. People are only sure of how the world is now but the possibilities are endless on what our
world could have been if agriculture had not begun.
Hunter gatherers lived in an egalitarian society; this means that everyone is treated equally. Color,
gender, nor age made any difference; every person had an equal contribution to the tribe. There is
not an issue

Diagnostic Criteria For ASD
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that is characterised by
impairments in social communication, repetitive or stereotypical behaviours, and limited range of
interests (Anagnoustou et al. 2014). These symptoms are often evident from early childhood and
vary between individuals in their severity and influence on everyday functioning. This continuum
of symptoms of ASD is reflected in the latest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of
Mental Disorders (DSM 5), a revision from previous diagnostic criteria in the DSM IV, which
identified four separate disorders in association with autismrelated symptoms (DSM5, 2013).

specifically for infants and toddlers younger than two years. One such proposed intervention
currently in progress is the Early Start Denver Model (Dawson Rogers, 2008) that aims to
address the distinctive requirements of children with ASD from as early as 12 months. The
program utilises a combination of an ABA approach along with a developmental and relationship
based approach that is then delivered in the child s natural environment. A recent randomised
controlled trial of the Early Start Denver Model in a sample of 48 children aged 18 30 months in
age revealed that children showed improvements in IQ and adaptive skills (Brookman Frazee,
2010). However, as the program is relatively new further research is required to fully infer efficacy

Research Paper On Alice Walker
Alice Walker Essay In life, people care about their appearances and how they are seen in the eyes
of others. Alice Walker cares about how the world portrays her looks and her personality. She is
confident in her looks, but at the age of eight, she is involved in an accident. This accident alteres
not only her eyesight but alters the way she sees herself. Because she believes no one finds her
pretty anymore, she loses confidence within herself. Alice and I have a lot in common when it
comes to this type of situation. I was once in a situation very similar, but it is involving my teeth. An
injury to my jaw made my teeth shift, leading me to believe my smile is not as pretty as it once
was. Eventually, Alice and I both discover the true beauty within our flaws and feel happy once
again. Alice feels beautiful from a very young age.. She is full of herself and wants people to

Especially the patterns used for query processing follow an experimental behavior, which changes
so randomly that it cannot be anticipated. So, these type of environments cannot be handled by

Online indexing and adaptive indexing are two approaches for designing a physical design
automatically in such dynamic and exploratory environments, but none of them handles the
problem adequately when isolated.
2.Clear statements of the solution(s) of the paper (up to 2 pages only):
The paper discusses about the problems faced when using the index tuning and a solution is
implemented to improve the performance of the database system called the holistic indexing, a
novel approach which automates the process of index tuning in dynamic environments. It requires
zero set up and tuning effort, depending on the adaptive index creation as a side effect of
processing the queries. The creation of Indices is done incrementally and partially.
These created indices are refined constantly as more and more queries are processed. The proposed
holistic indexing takes the state of the art adaptive indexing concepts a big step further by
introducing the idea of a system which refines the index space continuously and never stops while
taking educated decisions about which index to be incrementally refined next based on continuous

Why The US Won The Battle Of Midway
The United States had to face two enemies at one time. The U.S.A had to push the Nazis

IU Scholarship Essay
Although a seemingly odd combination, I am double majoring in Chemistry and French at IUPUI.
This is a complimentary pair for me in terms of my future endeavors, however. I aspire to attend
medical school, ultimately to become a pediatric endocrinologist at Riley Hospital for Children.
While some choose medicinefor the paycheck, prestige, or to simply carry on the family business,
I wish to become a doctor for an entirely different reason. When I was eight years old, I was
diagnosed with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), a genetic disorder that affects the body s
general health, growth, and development. Devoting my career to becoming a pediatric
endocrinologist is a welcomed opportunity for me to serve as a source of care and comfort for
my patients and their families, as I was once in their shoes. My current plan of study at IUPUI is
an excellent plan of preparation for this lofty endeavor. While majoring in Chemistry will provide
the hard, scientific background required for medicine, majoring in French is the catalyst in giving
me the edge to becoming a caring, compassionate future physician. I shadowed Dr. Scott Renshaw
at IU Family Medicine last semester. I saw firsthand that the realm of medicine has turned its
attention from scientific knowledge to patient care. The successful practice of medicine... Show

Spatial Rhythm and Poetic Invention in William Carlos...
William Carlos Williams was fascinated by the ways in which living organisms and inert matter
occupy space how they move in it, or cannot move, are cramped or allowed to roam freely and
how the space inside organisms and matter is charted, perceived, and manipulated. Williams s
preoccupation with actual space in the material world is paralleled by his formal experimentations
with the placement of words on the page. Without invention nothing is well spaced (P 50), Williams
writes at the beginning of Sundayin the Park, raising the question, what does well spaced mean for
Williams? How can the world and how can poetry be well spaced? The aim of this paper is to look

The link between walking, coitus, and creativity is part of a larger framework in Sunday in which
biological processes and various kinds of movement through space what I am calling spatial
rhythms are used to explore the nature of poetry.
One only has to look at the configuration of words on the page to know that for Williams well
spaced involves not regularity but constant change and surprise. Williams s manipulation of space,
both on the page and in the Park, is, in this section of Paterson, the main tool used to create the
structure that M. L. Rosenthal and Sally Gall have described as characteristic of the modern poetic
sequence, a structure that is not predominantly narrative or dramatic, but lyrical, a progression of
specific qualities and intensities. [1] This rhythm corresponds to a cyclicity of mood that can be
described as manic depresive or, to use Rosenthal s and Gall s term, cyclothymic.[2] Corresponding

All three of the policies are in some way a little bit different than the current system in place in
New York. Delaware uses a three tier system that allows the state and local government to share the
responsibility of making decisions regarding distribution. Tier 1 provides funding for the cost for
such things as teachers salaries and their benefits. In addition, this Tier determines the amount of
money needed per pupil, meaning that the number of students in the districtdetermines the amount
of funds that a district received. Tier II: this is the amount of money given to the district by the state
to cover such things as schools supplies, building maintenance and utilities. Tier III: this is the fund,

determine the amount the district will receive and district makes up the rest. New Jersey funding
policy works by using the SFRA formula to determine the base cost per pupil in order to meet their
basic educational needs. The formula is used to calculate the extra funds needed for such things as

Regarding significant musical movements in history, more specifically the twenty first century, few
were more important than the folk revolution that took shape in the mid nineteen hundreds. One of
the leaders of this revolution was Robert Allen Zimmerman, known by his popular assumed name,
Bob Dylan. Born in 1941 in Minnesota, Dylan grew up the grandchildof JewishRussian immigrants

Dylan was beginning to perform solo at local Minneapolis night spots such as the Ten O Clock

During this time Dylan was honing his guitar skills and harmonica work and developing his

His second reason for moving was to meet his idle, Woodie Guthrie, who was in a hospital in New

Dylan would succeed on both counts. Not only did he meet Guthrie but he became a fixture at his

ravens guide travelers to their destinations. Others believe that the sight of a solitary raven is
considered good luck or more than one raven together predicts trouble ahead. People have many
different opinions about what ravens signify. In Poe s The Ravenit becomes clear that the raven
symbolizes emotional suffering and also portrays a vivid understanding of reality.
As the raven enters the room, its presence reveals emotional suffering and loneliness. For example,

loved one, Lenore. With the company of the raven, he is reminded of his current loneliness along

suffering.
The raven also forces the narrator to accept reality and move on. For example, the narrator
questions the raven whether within the distant Aidenn will he ever clasp a rare and radiant
maiden whom the angels name Lenore (129). He ponders the thought of ever seeing Lenore in
his after life. He is beginning to realize that the raven came to him to bring him a sense of reality.
With this knowledge, he is full of sorrow. He longs to see her in heaven, but realizes that in
reality this will never really happen. Also, the narrator wonders if his soul from out that

signifies the death of his beloved, and he knows that he will never be able to escape this shadow.
He will never again find happiness in his life. The reality that the raven brings helps him
comprehend the fact that hiding from his troubles will not make them better. Therefore, it forces

Scarlet Letter Ambiguity
In The Scarlet Letter, sin and guilt represent the theme of morality throughout the entire novel. The
scarlet letter A is the main representation of the protagonist assumed moral ineptitude. Yet there is a
certain amount of vagueness that occurs at her initial appearance that leaves the reader a bit
confused. Nathanial Hawthorne produces a marvelous piece of ambiguity that allows the reader to
question their own idea of how morality is defined. While he works the theme of morality into all
of the characters in the novel, the three main characters Hester Prynne, Chillingworth, and
Dimmesdale are the main focus if the idea of morality in the novel.
Hester Prynne is an adulteress; this is a fact made by an assumption by the reader of the symbol red

The witches can predict the future, they can add temptation, and influence Macbeth, but they
cannot control his destiny. Macbeth creates his own misery when he is driven by the guilt of his
actions. Although the witches did have the power to accurately predict significant events in
Macbeth s life, the actual В‘carrying out of those prophecies was undertaken by Macbeth.
In this play, the three equivocators have a resilient effect, not only on Macbeth but on the other
characters too. В‘Lesser than Macbeth, and greater. Not so happy yet much happier. Thou shalt get
kings though thou be none. (Act 1 Scene 3) Banquo is directly involved with the three witches; he
talks to them face to face. Being at first strongly contrasted with Macbeth, as an innocent man with
a guilty one, it seems like this contrast must be continued to his death; while, in reality, though it is
never removed, it is gradually diminished. Banquo in fact may be described much more truly than
Macbeth as the victim of the Witches.
Some other characters are indirectly affected by their prophecies. If Macbeth had not been
influenced by the witches, he would not have killed Duncan. Because they are the ones who start
the play and orientate it, the witches have an effect on every ones life.

Unethical Human Experimentation Should be Outlawed
Human experimentation has been in practice for centuries and it was not until recently that it has
been questioned. By definition human experimentation is when a researcher deliberately induces or
alters a person s physical or mental functions. Human experimentation is preformed in ways that
might prove therapeutic to the patient, but for which there is as yet insufficient evidence to make
this reasonably certain. It can also be preformed in ways that will not be of any conceivable benefit
to the particular patient, but which may advance scientific knowledge and human welfare. Although

if they have the knowledge that it will most likely result in risk to the child s health or well being.
Patients on their deathbeds should not be allowed to participate in medical experiments. Nelson

Diageo s stock price increased $1.74 from $21.10 as of December 31, 2017 to $22.84 as of
March 31, 2017. The increase can be primarily attributed to the company s reported growth in
profit for the first half of its 2017 fiscal year. Better than expected revenue growth, fueled by
favorable exchange rates, drove the increase in profitability. Surprisingly, the company reported
that revenues increased in each of its geographic markets. Such growth may mark the reversal of a
period of relatively flat growth for the company. Investors responded positively to the news, thus
fueling the quarterly increase in price.

The 5% increase can be primarily attributed to two factors: the company s strong financial
performance for Q4 2016 and speculation regarding the company s next moves as it remains on
the sidelines of the mergers and acquisitions wave that has been dominating industry news
cycles. On February 24, 2017, BASF reported its Q4 2016 and full year results. One highlight
from the announcement included a reported 7% increase in sales for the fourth quarter of 2016 as
compared to the fourth quarter of 2015. Additionally, the company reported an increase of 15% in
EBIT as compared to the fourth quarter 2015. As for the full year, the company reported that sales
had decreased by 18%. However, it is important to note that the company divested its gas trading
and storage business as part of an asset swap with Gazprom at the end of September 2015. The
aforementioned business unit had contributed 10.1 billion in sales in 2015. As such, the
portfolio effects noted above accounted for 15% of the decline in overall sales. Sales prices
decreased, but the company was able to consistently raise sales volumes over the course of the
year. Dr. Kurt Bock, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, stated that the rise in sales
volumes quarter to quarter shows that the high investments we made in research and development
and new production capacity in recent years are paying off. Given the substantial increase in
profitability and sales volume, the Chairman expressed that the company was cautiously
optimistic for 2017. Investors seemed to respond positively to the company s performance. On
Friday, February 24, 2017, the company s closing stock price was 87.36. By March 3, 2017, one

lumbar disc problems Summary
The lumbar region of the human spine is a location that is very susceptible to injury and trauma. A
majority of the population experience back pain at some time during their life, and although in
most cases the pain subsides after a time of rest, there is an enormous need for treatment of this
malady. The various typesof treatment for lumbar disc herniations include a more conservative
method of rest, physical therapy, and anti inflammatory or non steroidal drugs. A more extreme
condition would require surgery to try to alleviate the symptoms. The older, more traditional

These nerves travel to the lower extremities cause a dull ache and sometimes numbness or loss of
strength. The nerve most commonly affected by a disc herniation is the sciatic nerve. The sciatic
nerve originates between the third sacral(S 3), and fourth lumbar(L 5) vertebrae, is formed in the
pelvis and exits through the greater sciatic foramen towards the gluteal region. It then travels
laterally underneath the piriformis muscle towards the pudendal nerve, then divides travels
anteriorly down the leg until it divides near the knee into the politeal and tibial nerves(Shanahan,
1997).
A term herniated disc is used synonymously with ruptured or prolapsed discs. They describe a
protrusion of the nucleous propulsus through the annulus fibrosus upon the spinal cord. Commonly
herd terms such as a slipped or a bulging disc refer to the disc being close to herniation, but still
remaining intact. In this case, the nucleus propulsus is contained, however, the contortion can still
lead to decreased foraminal space, and sciatic nerve irritation. The symptoms for bulging or slipped
discs are similar to those for a herniated disc, but are usually milder and less intense, thus requiring
more conservative treatments(Shanahan, 1997).
An estimated eighty percent of the population suffers at least one episode of back pain in their life,

Treaty No. 2 was the second of the eleven treaties to be signed and established during Canada s
infancy. Also known as, Manitoba Post Treaty , named after a post of the Hudson Bay Company
where the treaty was signed on August 21, 1871 at Manitoba Post, located on the northwest shore
of Lake Manitoba. Treaty No. 2 was signed on behalf of the Ojibway by Mekis, Sou sonce, Ma
sah kee yash, Broken Fingers, and Richard Woodhouse. Commissioner Simpson, accompanied by
Lieutenant Governor Archibald, James McKay and Molyneux St. John, Clerk of the Legislative
Assembly signed on behalf of the crown. The Ojibway inhabit the area included within the treaty
boundaries of approximately 92462 square kilometers located in central southwestern Manitoba and
a small portion of southeastern Saskatchewan. Every first nation of Treaty 2 is located in Manitoba
and these include: Dauphin River, Ebb and Flow, Keeseekoowenin, Lake Manitoba, Lake St.
Martin, Little Saskatchewan, O Chi Chak Ko Sipi, Pinaymootang, and Skownan. The Ojibway are
an Anishinaabe grouping of indigenous peoples of North America, of which the majority inhabit
Canada. They are the second largest First Nationsgroup in Canada, only surpassed by the Cree.

in Canadian currency or in similar proportions to a larger or smaller family. Such payment was to
be made in items required by the Indians such as blankets, clothing, twine, or traps at current cash
price in Montreal, Canada. Lastly, Treaty No. 2 provided the Ojibway people with farming tools
and instilled a census to keep track of how many Aboriginals were in each band, mainly for

Eveline Essay
In the short story Eveline by James Joyce, the title character Eveline is fearful of making a change
in her life by moving with her boyfriend Frank from her homeland of Ireland and making a life
with him in Buenos Ayres. Joyce illustrates that one of our most inherent qualities as humans and
one that Eveline displays is that we are resistant to change. Through Eveline s relationships with her
father, Frank and various peripheral relationships, Joyce demonstrates to us how Eveline has come
to have certain beliefs about change.
There is overwhelming evidence in Eveline s life that change is good, yet she continues to resist it.
Eveline saw her mother make many common sacrifices and give up her freedom of choice in
everyday ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He does not want a worldly man such as Frank having any influence on his daughter. He believes
that if Eveline did become serious with Frank he, as her father, would become a lower priority in
Eveline s life. She would most certainly leave the house and quite possibly move far away, which
would be yet another change the old man would have to endure.
Other factors lead to Eveline being fearful of change. Not only change in commitments but change
in physical surroundings are things she does not embrace, though she has been surrounded by
change most of her life; when she was a child, she would play in the field with the neighbor
children every evening, until it was built upon. She has also experienced change in the form of death
; childhood friends, her brother and her mother all are dead. Death is not a positive representation
of change to be sure. As Evelyn ponders change, she comes to the realization that the physical
surroundings of her everyday life would no longer be there. The furnishings, the pictures, the
curtains, even the dust would be distant memories! Things she has unknowingly drawn comfort
from her entire life would not be there to comfort her; they would be gone. Change may not be
something she wants.
All of these realizations about change are due to Eveline considering the biggest change in her life:
the change she is most fearful about, moving away from Ireland to be with Frank in Buenos

Statement of Purpose: The purpose of this analysis is to determine if Reynolds Metals (
Reynolds ) should accept NestlГ© s offer of $61 million for its holdings of Eskimo Pie. The
crux of the issue is whether or not the projected income from a proposed Initial Public Offering (
IPO ) by Wheat First Securities ( Wheat First ) is reasonable and will actually result in proceeds
between $61 and $68 million to Reynolds, the Reynolds family and the Reynolds foundation, as
projected. To get at this question, this paper will seek to value Eskimo Pie as a stand alone
company, if the IPO option is selected.
Discount Rate: The first task is to estimate the discount rate, or the rate that investors will require
on this type of investment. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As previously mentioned, net sales will be estimated beginning with the $61 million in net sales
projected for 1991, then relying on Goldman Sach s projected growth rate for 1992 and 1993, and
using a 5% growth rate from that point forward. Net income is estimated for 1992 and 1993 using
Goldman Sach s estimate of the margin.
Free cash flow is then estimated from the net income by subtracting capital expenditures, which
are estimated to be less than $1 million for 1992. Additionally, there are several additional
expenses for 1991 that I believe are ignored by Goldman Sach s estimate. The first is the potential
clean up costs from the spill in the New Jersey plant, estimated at $300,000. However, weighing
other possible outcomes, I estimate the cost to be $374,000, occurring by the end of 1991.
Further, even in the pre Sarbanes Oxley era, the cost of an IPO, and the subsequent filing
documents required by the SEC, is significant. I estimate the cost of the IPO to be $1 million in
1992, and $500,000 each year after for the filing requirements (or the cost of being public). These
amounts are subtracted from the free cash flows in the appropriate years.
Thus, I estimate the value of Eskimo Pie, as a stand alone company, to be $31,770,219. This is
significantly lower than the $61,412,000 or $68,044,000 that Wheat First predicts the IPO will
generate.
Further Analysis: This of

The Moral Status Of A Virtual Avatar
The moral status of a virtual Avatar, is a refection of a person s choice, such as that someone s
choices are a representation of how one may react to certain types of online attacks. Virtual rape is
a type of attack that when one avatar gets involved in non consensual sexual behaviors with
another. Obviously not the same as physical rape, virtual rape also harms the person to some
extent. The traumatic experiences avatars experience is valued because morally there is still a
problem with the person controlling the avatar. What is going on online is that hate speech is
occurring as sexual harassment, which explains the immorality of virtual rape. There are many
ways people view the harm virtual rape causes, such as that critics say people can just ignore the
hate speech. Others say that it is still equal harassment in the virtual world, linked to hate speech.

harm things (living or otherwise). For instance, it is OK to put one s own doll in a trash

Pros And Cons Of Airport Security
Just recently there has been uproar over airport security and the use of body scanners on
passengers. After 9/11 many airlines have toughen up their security measures in order to prevent
this tragic accident to ever occur again. In order to improve security and make our lives a lot safer
airlines have implemented many different types of technology. Technology aids airline securityto

Effects Of Pollution And Environmental Degradation
Pollution and Environmental Degradation are things that the large majority of humans
contributes to some small or large way on the daily. Whether it is our mode of transportation,
throwing a piece of trash on the ground, buying products made from trees, and to be perfectly
honest the concentration in which we live, by which I mean the proximity of the average
residents in which we reside. These all seem like regular everyday things that are just normal.
But in the past things like these were so beyond the norm that they would seem alien and
impossible. The first matter that I pointed out, our mode of transportation, differs from person to
person. There are those that have decided to either not use any fossil fuel burning vehicular
modes of transportation, such as walking and riding bikes; while others have decided to greatly
decrease their ecological footprint by using various forms of carpooling, whether it being literal
carpooling with friends or coworkers, or taking modes of mass transportation such as buses and
subways or underground railways. According to a survey 91% of people drive to work in their
personal vehicles; and 204 million personal vehicles are regularly used. And though not everyone
throws their trash directly on to the ground, and most that do don t do it completely intentionally. I
do have to say that a large amount of Americans do not take the time to make sure that their trash
and garbage is disposed of properly. Some do not invest in having both

The emergency services need to be called, and given all the correct information, such as, if you are
with the casualty now, how many people are involved, the patients age/gender, if they are

is then categorised into emergency or non emergency.
* Follow instructions from emergency services, and other members of staff.
Emergency services may give instructions over the phone, such as move child into recovery
position, or keep wound elevated, this will also give some reassurance to the child. And is helpful
for the emergency services as they are aware of how the child/young person is reacting to this.

Every child should have a record with emergency contact details of parents, grandparents, carers or
any other relative. They should be people that are easy to contact and who can contact parents if

The person in charge will contact this person as soon as possible and tell that person what has

Response Criticism In Raymond Carver s Cathedral
In the short story, Cathedral , Carver uses reader response criticism to let the reader interpret the
story by leaving out pieces of information. Carver has been dubbed a minimalist for his low key
plots and spare style (34). This approach allows the reader to look deeper into a character without
even knowing their name. With the mentioning of alcohol, marijuana, and a suicide attempt, all
before the eye opening moment at the end...it gives the reader a glimpse into Raymond Carvers own
life long struggle with alcoholism and possible struggles with his life. In Cathedral , the narrator
seems to be very grumpy, jealous, and ignorant. The narrator fails to mention any names except
for Robert s, but the narrator mostly refers to him as the blind man . When the narrator speaks of
his wife s past, he never mentions her name, or her ex fiancГ©s; and you can sense the bitterness
from the narrator about his wife s past when he says Her officer why should he have a name? he
was the childhood sweetheart, and what more does he want? (36). The reader can pick up the
vibe that the husband seems to be jealous that this man holds a special place in his wife s heart
because they had the cute Hollywood movie plot where two childhood sweethearts grow up and
run off and get married. The narrator never comes out and says these things though, because Carver
uses his language and minimalist ways to let the reader piece everything together and to interpret
the story in their own way. The

The Songs I Ever Heard At A Young Age Of 11
This song is listed number one because it was one of the first Beatles songs I ever heard at a
young age of 11. The Beatles were a very spiritual group and it shows in their work. Many of
their songs were based around love and positive energy. The song was originally written by Paul
McCartney in order to guide Julian Lennon, John s son, who was neglected by his father after he
began dating Yoko Ono. My father started dating my step mother around the same age I heard the
song. Certain lyrics presented seem like they speak to me personally, Remember to let her into
your heart. Then you can start to make it better. During the time, I was so young and did not
really understand why my father decided to start dating again shortly after my parents divorce.
It was a very hard time for to choose whether to accept and support my dad s new girlfriend and
life. Hey Jude would relate to the topic of choices and decisions, because change is a very hard
thing to accept and when and how you accept it can vary based upon the person.
2Pac I Wonder If Heaven Gotta Ghetto I Wonder If Heaven Gotta Ghetto is one of my favorite
2Pac songs, from one of my favorite artist and who I believe to be the best rapper ever. I first

plenty of meaning and significance about everyday problems. In the song, 2Pac talks about the
struggles of black youth, and how they are forced to do certain things in order to

that they will receive more subsidies such as receiving more benefits of MediShield Life but
paying less premiums than they do for their MediShield. Also extra subsidies will be given at

Should Napoleon Be Considered A Hero Essay
Should Napoleon Bonaparte Be Considered A Hero or tarrant?
A hero is defined as a man who starts from the bottom and climbs the top to achieve greatness
based on his talent. Should Napoleon be considered as a hero? Mostly people would argue that
Napoleon is a hero as his brave nature made France one of the superior countries in the world. I
believe Napoleon was a hero, as his many accomplishments improved the French society and
ultimately enlightened the world. Not only he did better for France through his policy but he also
expanded the boundaries of France with many battles through his strategically planned military. He
gave citizens of France the pride they needed.
Being a military genius, Napoleon won many battles to expand his French territory. His strategic
military plans throughout many wars made him a hero all over the Europe. Although his army was
less than half by Austrians Napoleon s brilliant strategies resulted in a defeat of his enemy armies in
the Battle of Austerlitz. In many other battles that Napoleon won he always used his military ...

Human Pollination On Bees
Are we obligated to protect and secure the future of the bees? Humankind tends to take for
granted where our food comes from and do not think twice about it, let alone the process of
pollination. The manner in which we regard the bees not only has an effect on us but, it also
affects a multitude of species. However, we are able to do our part to lessen our negative impact
on the bees. If educating humankind would alleviate suffering of many species such as bees, we
would then be obligated to save the them. Bees are some of the most feared insects on the planet
but aside from their sting they are quite a complex and beneficial creature. There are over 20,000
species of bees on the planet (Spivak,2013). They are often associated with honey however, they
play a far more important role, they pollinate. Bees are responsible for about 80 percent of
pollination worldwide and a single colony is able to pollinate upwards of 300 million flowers each
day (Greenpeace.org). Although there are ways for human pollination it is often a painstaking and
time consuming process. Studies have also shown that human pollination is not as effective
(Spivak, 2013)). With 90 percent of the worlds nutrition dependent upon bees we need to support
the bees with pollination (Greenpeace.org). If we want to continue enjoying the many foods bees

  • 2. Benefits Of A New Team When I was in Noida working for Headstrong, my team used to go out for lunch on special occasions. As that area had quite many options, sometimes we used to be in a fix as to where to go. Another reason for long decision making was because different people had their own tastes. And, few of them had even been to places we were zeroing in on and didn t want to go again. Now, that was a mess as it would delay our outings that were supposed to become a lifetime memory for a few at least! We tried to plan well ahead in advance, but that also had issues as people wanted to delay it to the last minute. We primarily relied on word of mouth recommendations and what we as a team preferred the most. All in all, it used to go just fine most of the times. However, i remember one incident when one of our new team members strongly recommended a restaurant to which his family were regular visitors for many years. He was giving mouthwatering description of the dishes available there and most of us melted like butter on a parantha and were looking forward to go there. Come the D day, being a foodie, i was especially charged up; but there was one delay after another as few of the folks were held up in meetings. It was way past my usual lunch time and finally, we went ahead around quarter to 3. We were all very hungry but to our utter disappointment we found the place closed. The colleague who had recommended us looked pretty sad and asked nearby shops if the restaurant had closed for good. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Fear Of Madness In Hamlet Madness, and fear of madness, are the driving factors behind the plot and character interactions in the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare. By the end of the play, almost every main character ends up dead as a result of the hysteria or indecisiveness of other characters. As more and more tragic events and countless deaths occur, each character is forced to find a coping mechanism. Some succumb to the pressure, like Ophelia, who goes mad and drowns after her father dies, but others attempt to hide the effect the pressure has on them, like King Claudius. A deeper examination of Claudius s emotions and behaviors reveal that his psychological state is in truth severely damaged and has taken a toll on his actions. After killing his brother, King ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He diagnoses this disease as Hamlet and attempts to cure himself by sending the Prince to execution in England. ... The King is very violently affected by this play (Alexander). Unable to deal with his own guilt and grief after murdering his brother, Claudius instead finds a scapegoat to convince himself he has done nothing wrong. He accuses Hamlet of being mad, yet there is madness that lies within himself. The burden of holding in the horrible action he has committed has begun to take a toll on his well being, and the audience is finally given a glimpse into Claudius s emotions after The Murder of Gonzago, when he attempts to pray: Pray can I not. Though inclination be as sharp as will, my stronger guilt defeats my strong intent (3.3.42 44). The fact that there is nothing Claudius can ever do to truly make up for what he has done finally catches up to him, but he instead ends up using this as motivation for pursuing Hamlet s murder. The more Hamlet pushes his buttons, the more Claudius increasingly responds with coercion and eventually force (Keener). Every move Hamlet makes serves to convince Claudius that he is mad and a threat that needs controlling. Claudius convinces others around him that stopping Hamlet s madness is for the safety of the people, yet it is mainly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Similarities Between Inception And The Cave Inception and The Cave Imagine you are chained up from the time you are a baby all the way up until now, where all you know and see are shadows on a cave wall. One day, you are removed, removed from everything you thought you once knew only to find it wasn t real. This type of shock is exactly what happened to the cave prisoners in Plato s allegory of the cave. The cave is an illusion of reality to those within. The movie Inception takes an interesting twist on this idea of a false reality through the exploration of multidimensional dreams. We all want the truth, whether it s in the small things in our daily lives to the ultimate reality. When someone is brought to look at a perspective that is outside of their box they may start to see that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Technology And Its Impact On Technology Once the firms gets patency for their technology they can precede with their next step that is to manufacture the product, market the product and launch the product. This is a process in which the firm need to look out for the life of the product as to if the technology is being out of date then they need to make changes accordingly in order to cope with the market needs. If a firm develops a technology then they invest a lot of time and money for that and if it is being used by other companies they should give royalty to the developer company and if they don t then this is one of the major losses for the company. This is because of the a lot of fakes or thefts will be going on for that product so if a firm wants the sell that innovation to someone then the value of it will be degraded because of that. Case Study Apple and Samsung are the leading giants when it comes to telecommunication industry. They both have created a mark in the market for its performance and durability. However there was a major clash between the two companies which was related to patency. On January 5th 2007 which was 4 days before the IPhone was launching its phone, they filed a case against their competitor (Samsung) that they are using the 4 design patents which were developed by Apple and these 4 design patents were related to the basic design of the phone. • 7. How Does Dickens Present The Portrayal Of Victorian Women In a male dominated world, does the role of women even matter? In the Victorian era, women were expected to be innocent, loving, and interested in their husbands business or other affiliations. In Charles Dickens Hard Times, he portrays the Victorian society s realistic and unrealistic views of an ideal Victorian woman in a maledominated world. Through the portrayal of his female characters, Dickens shows the lack of morality people had during this time period, as well as emphasizing how an ideal Victorian woman should act. Dickens example of an idealistic Victorian woman is Sissy Jupe, while her contrast is Mrs. Sparsit. Louisa s character however, shows the change from a nonidealistic to an idealistic Victorian woman. The several female characters compare and contrast with each other throughout the novel and provide evidence of which type of woman they are, as well as how they are ultimately rewarded or punished. Sissy Jupe exemplifies the ideal Victorian woman in a maledominated Coketown. Throughout the novel, Sissy remains a compassionate, realistic, and nurturing young woman. As a child, Sissy does not succumb to the system of facts introduced to her by Mr. Gradgrind. She struggles with concepts such as arithmetic or living objectively. She shares her failures at school with Louisa who comforts her with, You are more useful to my mother, and more pleasant with yourself than I am to myself (Dickens 55). This comment expresses how Sissy is realistic since her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They will also periodically update applications once they have already been released in order to improve upon or fix any issues they might have. • 10. Isolation In Disney Pixar s Film Brave In the Disney Pixar animated film Brave, an unconventional princess, Merida, suffers from her own isolation her entire life as she acts contrary to how traditional royalty should. However, her rift between who she is and who she should be comes to a head when she puts a curse on her mother. Not only does the movie take Merida on a journey of acceptance and learning, but forces Merida s mother, the queen, to live in exile alone in her own mind as she is transformed into a bear. The meaning of this mental isolation goes deeper than the surface themes of Brave, as Elinor nearly loses her humanity, revealing the impact isolation can have on one s humanity and how dire meaningful relationships are to a functioning society as a whole. Elinor s curse is first shown to expose this idea of isolation equating to non humanity when she and Merida are hunting for their first meal away from the castle. One of humanity s essential qualities is to go against the grain, so to speak. Disney subtly shows this ideal in every character from traditionalist Elinor entertaining Merida s childhood encounter with will o the wisps to Merida s rebellion against her betrothal. So, in this way, Elinor s struggle to go so against the grain to maintain her humanity is made more potent. If she had simply gone with what nature told her, she would become a full fledged bear, unthinking and only relying on instinct. This can be seen as a direct result of isolation as the lack of relationships with other higher thinking humans takes away the need to rely on anything besides instincts; Elinor s mental isolation and difficulty communicating with Merida removes her relationship, thus forcing her into a more animalistic state to ... • 11. Analysis Of Jared Diamond s The Worst Mistake In Jared Diamond s The Worst Mistake in the History of the Human Race he kicks off by telling readers the negative effects agriculture has placed on our world that still follows us today. He believes that with agriculture came the gross social and sexual inequality, the disease and despotism that curse our existence and that this will continue on until a change occurs (Diamond1). He explains the progressivist perspective as well but uses their reasoning as a way to back up his. Diamond is correct that humans worst mistake is beginning agriculturebecause more problems occurred than it actually solved and humans are not better off this way. Diamond explains that our worst mistake was the transition from hunter gathers to farmers. Diamond believes that humans were better off chasing our food rather than planting it due to the consequences that followed after such a dramatic change of life. His reasoning expands further out than one might think of about this subject. He talks about the social changes that were created when agriculture began. Diamond spews empowering points that leave a reader pondering if he is correct. People are only sure of how the world is now but the possibilities are endless on what our world could have been if agriculture had not begun. Hunter gatherers lived in an egalitarian society; this means that everyone is treated equally. Color, gender, nor age made any difference; every person had an equal contribution to the tribe. • 12. Diagnostic Criteria For ASD Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that is characterised by impairments in social communication, repetitive or stereotypical behaviours, and limited range of interests (Anagnoustou et al. 2014). Nelson, professor of Christian ethics at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, and Jo Anne Smith Rohricht, board member of the United Church of Christ Advisory Board on Health and Human Services, Experiments entailing substantial risk to children are not justified even if the parents give consent (75). Researchers should not be allowed to perform experiments on children if they have the knowledge that it will most likely result in risk to the child s health or well being. Patients on their deathbeds should not be allowed to participate in medical experiments. Nelson and Rohricht acknowledged, To die in dignity means that one has conscious control over one s own personal responses to the dying process. An experiment which intrudes on this personal hour can be inhumanly exploitative (77). There is no need to include dying patients in experiments because they may not even be able to finish the procedure. Researchers who do this are taking respect away from the patient and ... Television shows were popular at this time in the 21st century, as was the oversexualization of female sex symbols in the shows. At a time of progressivism in America, and at a height in the feminist and women s liberalism movements, the presence of female lead characters in the show was important, but their portrayal as TV sex symbol women ultimately made their presence harmful to the movements. Sitcoms like these allow women to see examples of their potential and strive to be anything they want to be. • 33. Diageo Executive Summary Diageo s stock price increased $1.74 from $21.10 as of December 31, 2017 to $22.84 as of March 31, 2017. The increase can be primarily attributed to the company s reported growth in profit for the first half of its 2017 fiscal year. Better than expected revenue growth, fueled by favorable exchange rates, drove the increase in profitability. Surprisingly, the company reported that revenues increased in each of its geographic markets. Such growth may mark the reversal of a period of relatively flat growth for the company. Investors responded positively to the news, thus fueling the quarterly increase in price. Nuernberger s stock price increased 10.39 from 56.61 as of December 31, 2016 to 67.00 as of March 31, 2017. The 5% increase can be primarily attributed to two factors: the company s strong financial performance for Q4 2016 and speculation regarding the company s next moves as it remains on the sidelines of the mergers and acquisitions wave that has been dominating industry news cycles. On February 24, 2017, BASF reported its Q4 2016 and full year results. One highlight from the announcement included a reported 7% increase in sales for the fourth quarter of 2016 as compared to the fourth quarter of 2015. Additionally, the company reported an increase of 15% in EBIT as compared to the fourth quarter 2015. As for the full year, the company reported that sales had decreased by 18%. However, it is important to note that the company divested its gas trading and storage business as part of an asset swap with Gazprom at the end of September 2015. The aforementioned business unit had contributed 10.1 billion in sales in 2015. As such, the portfolio effects noted above accounted for 15% of the decline in overall sales. Sales prices decreased, but the company was able to consistently raise sales volumes over the course of the year. Dr. Kurt Bock, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, stated that the rise in sales volumes quarter to quarter shows that the high investments we made in research and development and new production capacity in recent years are paying off. Given the substantial increase in profitability and sales volume, the Chairman expressed that the company was cautiously optimistic for 2017. Investors seemed to respond positively to the company s performance. On Friday, February 24, 2017, the company s closing stock price was 87.36. At the end of 2009, their long term debt went up to 855.9 million of dollars (Form 10 K, p.40). One of the factors that negatively affected Blockbuster s income and cash flow due to their debt obligation was the payment due date. It made even more difficult for Blockbuster to pay off the debts when the company faced economic downturns. The decrease in revenue made Blockbuster s obligation and interest higher. Due to this fact, the company had a limited fund to contribute their strategy and operation. While their revenue decreased and debt increased, Blockbuster gradually lost their ability to remain the war price as low as others. The company ended up going bankrupt. The first failure of Blockbuster s strategies, which lead it to bankruptcy, was the negative relationship with their consumers. While Netflix s chief executive, Reed Hastings, recognized the technology had been grown rapidly and would change the transmission of movie rental industry, Blockbuster s CEO, James Keyes, believed that consumers would still prefer to the brick and mortar rental structure. Through Eveline s relationships with her father, Frank and various peripheral relationships, Joyce demonstrates to us how Eveline has come to have certain beliefs about change. He believes that if Eveline did become serious with Frank he, as her father, would become a lower priority in Eveline s life. Not only change in commitments but change in physical surroundings are things she does not embrace, though she has been surrounded by change most of her life; when she was a child, she would play in the field with the neighbor children every evening, until it was built upon. She has also experienced change in the form of death ; childhood friends, her brother and her mother all are dead. Death is not a positive representation of change to be sure. As Evelyn ponders change, she comes to the realization that the physical surroundings of her everyday life would no longer be there. The furnishings, the pictures, the curtains, even the dust would be distant memories! Things she has unknowingly drawn comfort from her entire life would not be there to comfort her; they would be gone. Change may not be something she wants. As previously mentioned, net sales will be estimated beginning with the $61 million in net sales projected for 1991, then relying on Goldman Sach s projected growth rate for 1992 and 1993, and using a 5% growth rate from that point forward. Net income is estimated for 1992 and 1993 using Goldman Sach s estimate of the margin. Free cash flow is then estimated from the net income by subtracting capital expenditures, which are estimated to be less than $1 million for 1992. Additionally, there are several additional expenses for 1991 that I believe are ignored by Goldman Sach s estimate. The first is the potential clean up costs from the spill in the New Jersey plant, estimated at $300,000. However, weighing other possible outcomes, I estimate the cost to be $374,000, occurring by the end of 1991. Further, even in the pre Sarbanes Oxley era, the cost of an IPO, and the subsequent filing documents required by the SEC, is significant. I estimate the cost of the IPO to be $1 million in 1992, and $500,000 each year after for the filing requirements (or the cost of being public). These amounts are subtracted from the free cash flows in the appropriate years. Thus, I estimate the value of Eskimo Pie, as a stand alone company, to be $31,770,219. This is significantly lower than the $61,412,000 or $68,044,000 that Wheat First predicts the IPO will generate. Further Analysis: This of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Response Criticism In Raymond Carver s Cathedral In the short story, Cathedral , Carver uses reader response criticism to let the reader interpret the story by leaving out pieces of information. Carver has been dubbed a minimalist for his low key plots and spare style (34). This approach allows the reader to look deeper into a character without even knowing their name. With the mentioning of alcohol, marijuana, and a suicide attempt, all before the eye opening moment at the end...it gives the reader a glimpse into Raymond Carvers own life long struggle with alcoholism and possible struggles with his life. In Cathedral , the narrator seems to be very grumpy, jealous, and ignorant. The narrator fails to mention any names except for Robert s, but the narrator mostly refers to him as the blind man . When the narrator speaks of his wife s past, he never mentions her name, or her ex fiancГ©s; and you can sense the bitterness from the narrator about his wife s past when he says Her officer why should he have a name? he was the childhood sweetheart, and what more does he want? • 50. The Songs I Ever Heard At A Young Age Of 11 This song is listed number one because it was one of the first Beatles songs I ever heard at a young age of 11. The Beatles were a very spiritual group and it shows in their work. Many of their songs were based around love and positive energy. The song was originally written by Paul McCartney in order to guide Julian Lennon, John s son, who was neglected by his father after he began dating Yoko Ono. My father started dating my step mother around the same age I heard the song. Certain lyrics presented seem like they speak to me personally, Remember to let her into your heart. Then you can start to make it better. During the time, I was so young and did not really understand why my father decided to start dating again shortly after my parents divorce. It was a very hard time for to choose whether to accept and support my dad s new girlfriend and life. Hey Jude would relate to the topic of choices and decisions, because change is a very hard thing to accept and when and how you accept it can vary based upon the person. 2Pac I Wonder If Heaven Gotta Ghetto I Wonder If Heaven Gotta Ghetto is one of my favorite 2Pac songs, from one of my favorite artist and who I believe to be the best rapper ever. I first heard the song when I was 13. Different from most rappers now a days, Tupac s songs have plenty of meaning and significance about everyday problems. In the song, 2Pac talks about the struggles of black youth, and how they are forced to do certain things in order to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Private healthcare is seen as a basic right of those who choose to use it. It reduces pressure on the NHS and allows medical staff an opportunity to improve their incomes. Big companies and their employees find it convenient as it enables them to arrange treatments at times that do not interfere with their work schedules. But private healthcare is criticised as it allows people with higher incomes to gain access to treatment ahead of those who are unable to afford it. It is also seen as taking resources away from the NHS. For example, staff who are trained by NHS may go on to treat patients in private healthcare with a profit ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A hero is defined as a man who starts from the bottom and climbs the top to achieve greatness based on his talent. Should Napoleon be considered as a hero? The manner in which we regard the bees not only has an effect on us but, it also affects a multitude of species. However, we are able to do our part to lessen our negative impact on the bees. If educating humankind would alleviate suffering of many species such as bees, we would then be obligated to save the them. Bees are some of the most feared insects on the planet but aside from their sting they are quite a complex and beneficial creature. There are over 20,000 species of bees on the planet (Spivak,2013). They are often associated with honey however, they play a far more important role, they pollinate. Bees are responsible for about 80 percent of pollination worldwide and a single colony is able to pollinate upwards of 300 million flowers each day (Greenpeace.org). Although there are ways for human pollination it is often a painstaking and time consuming process. Studies have also shown that human pollination is not as effective (Spivak, 2013)). With 90 percent of the worlds nutrition dependent upon bees we need to support the bees with pollination (Greenpeace.org). If we want to continue enjoying the many foods bees provide for us we...
