Case Study Of Roug Rough Cut Capacity Planning
1. INTRODUCTION
Consumer demand for a product can be fulfilled entirely in the master production schedule if
supported by production capacity according to production requirements. Master production schedule
can be easily realized if consumer demand is constant, but in fact companies often experience
fluctuations in the demand of consumers who tend to be unstable. Based on research Liske F. (2012)
that capacity planning is done well can meet the demand of existing customers as well as be able to
increase the company s revenue. Based on research Ria Amalia (2012) that consumer demand can be
met by adding machines at work center that is experiencing a shortage of capacity.
PT. XYZ is a plastics company in Indonesia, are often unable to meet consumer demand for
polyethylene plastic products. This resulted in the company can not make a profit in accordance with
what is expected, and also difficult to foster consumer confidence. ... Show more content on

Sandy Hearst Argumentative Essay
After the trial and listening to the statements of the prosecutors involved, it is now up to the jury to
decide what happens in this case. Dana Ivy is said to have been drunk, which resulted in a car accident
on the morning of December 17. However, the defensive side says she was not intoxicated and that
was not the cause of this accident occurring at the intersection of Justice and Eagle street. This
accident resulted in severe injuries to Terry Vickers, the other citizen involved in this accident. Terry
Vickers wants to charge Sandy Hearst, the host of a party that occurred on the night of December 16,
for the damages. The plaintiff argues that Sandy was pushing drinks on Dana Ivy making her unable to
operate a vehicle with control. Although Dana Ivy states to have not been drunk and that the accident

Sandy as well as other guests could not clearly identify Dana as being drunk, also considering that
Dana has an outgoing personality. Sandy Hearst mentions in her statement, Dana just talked and acted
like any other normal person would at this kind of function. Witness Lee Porter says there was over 30
people at the party, making it easier for Dana to blend in. However, if Dana was acting different from
all the other guests showing signs of intoxication that is unusual for herself to do, it would be a
reliable statement. Even though alcoholic drinks were served, Sandy provided drinks for non drinkers
as well and even offered them to all her guests including Dana Ivy. Sandy Hearst may be liable for
serving alcoholic beverages but, that does not mean she was forcing that to be the only option of
beverages. Lee Porter says, Sandy said there were sodas for non drinkers if there were any. If Sandy
had the intent to push drinks on her guests, she would not have provided the option of soda to her
guests as well as

Elvis Presley Segregation
The King of Rock and Roll also known as Elvis Presley was famous and adored during the 1950 s by
the young adults all over the United States. Although the older crowd found his music and dance
moves very inappropriate, the teenagers adored and grew fond of his music which made this
Mississippi star controversial. In the very beginning before Elvis, the music that was heard around the
world was a lot of swing and jazz music that the Greats played. By Greats I mean well known artists
like Rosemary Clooney, Artie Shaw, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and so many others. While this music
was amazing in the 1940 s, a young man named Elvis Presley thought that the world should be
showed a new type of music to adore and love. Presley s career actually started when he became a
local star around Memphis, Tennessee. He recorded a couple of songs at a local recording studio and

Back then people had to go through this time period with three choices; to either support it, ignore it,
or be apart of it. I believe that Elvis created his music to try and help get rid of racial barriers by
music, and the critics at the time hated the thought of a white man singing black music . By doing this
it was shown that critics heavily disliked him and actually compared his concerts with screaming girls
and adoring teens, to Hitler mass meetings which screams insanity. There were even magazines that
were not on team Elvis Presley and they strongly showed it. For example a magazine called Look
stated in its 1956 issue, but Presley is mostly nightmare. On stage his gyrations . . . are vulgar . . . He
has also dragged big beat music to new lows in taste . . ., with this in mind people in the older crowd

The Pros And Cons Of Misfolded Protein
Introduction
The central dogma of molecular biology conveys the idea that genetic information passes from DNA
to RNA before culminating in protein synthesis (Bandyra Luisi, 2015). In essence, our genetic
information is mainly used to code for specific proteins. There are 20 amino acids that can be bonded
together in many different orders to form a number in excess of 10 million proteins across all
biological organisms (Innovateus, 2015). Proteins have many different uses and functions, as well as
modifications. Examples of these differences include glycoproteins with carbohydrates attached to be
used in the cell membrane and phosphorylated serine molecules that act as metabolites. For the protein
to be able to carry out its specific function, it must fold in the correct way. A precise path must be
followed to allow the correct shape to be formed and if there is an error in this process, the misfolded
protein could lead to dangerous diseases forming.
The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The point of using this molecule is to reduce the risk of proteins folding into non functioning shapes
and aggregating (Saibil, 2006). Protein aggregation is the accumulation of misfolded proteins and they
can form insoluble plaques known as amyloids. The pathway to aggregation is, perhaps; an alternative
to the innate pathway and that the aggregation pathway favours interactions within the molecules
rather than between them (Stefani, 2004). There are specific and non specific forms of chaperones and
it is thought that their existence was a product of evolution. Therefore, protein misfolding is likely to
have been a prominent feature of life, encouraging the eventual production of quality control
molecules. A mutation to the chaperones can render them obsolete and in some cases they are not
present at all. Some diseases are caused by a mutation to the chaperone or an absence of the protein
altogether (Reynaud,

What Steroids Can Do To Your Body
A bloodcurdling feeling spreads throughout the arena, a smell so menacing that even the men inside
the ring don t know what will happen next. The roars of men are zipping through the air as bodies are
torn limb from limb. Grotesque as this image may be only a few hundred years ago were people
competing in stadiums adorned by thousands of viewers. Competition has always been a part of
human nature, ever since the first man put his foot onto this planet the race has been on. Certainly
competition has changed as years have gone by. First we competed for food on a daily basis,
competition was needed in order to just make it through the day, as many years began to pass
competition began to turn into daze in which people could watch others fight for their lives fighting
against creatures from other parts of the world unknown to their own. Today, we no longer face the
life or death bouts over a single meal. The sense of competition has not dulled, yet it has been moved
from a daily survival to more of an extravagance for viewers to behold the abilities of others in awe.
These days, the most anticipated competitions are held in football stadiums, boxing rings, and weight
rooms. The rewards for today s gladiators consist of bragging rights over a rival, worldwide notoriety,
and large sums of money. Being the best at what we do, getting the feeling that you are number one is
what we as humans have always strived for. No matter what the cost had been we always took another

America s Influence On World Music Essay
In this essay I will be talking about America s influence on World music and how World music has an
influence on American music. I will also discuss how the transistor radio effected this cross
pollination.
America had a huge influence on World music due to the influence of us giving music an actual name.
Some cultures did not even have a name for music. Through a wide range of genres, America has been
the supreme leader of modern music. America has shaped how we listen to many genres of music,
from pop to even folk. For example, punk was an American creation that was impacting on global
music trends. Such as, The Lower East Side and Velvet Underground. While folk and punk represent
one element of American influence on modern music, the greatest influence has probably been jazz.
Jazz was an art form that differed significantly from all of its predecessors. It began the new era that
was able to fuel folk, punk, hip hop and many other groundbreaking American genres. Part of the
reason for America s success in music, could be the country s consistent output of new sounds and
genres. For instance, Hip Hop took its mark on a new American genre and now it has gained huge
success around the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Research Paper On Chicken Pox
Chickenpox is a contagious disease that is caused by the varicella zoster virus (or coming in contact
with someone with the virus). Chicken pox is mainly found to infect children because they stay in big
groups and have a lot of contact with each other. It is a problem because it causes many issues and
symptoms to certain individuals, the disease can be serious and deadly.
The main symptoms of Chicken Pox include experiencing extreme itchiness around your body, flu like
symptoms (stuffy nose, sneezing, etc.), rashes and blisters, sore throat, headaches, stomachaches and
pain around the spots. Chicken pox can be exceedingly contagious, and it will still be contagious until

Although dying from chicken pox is very unlikely, a study showed that 20 people died from the
disease in Britain in 1 year. Also, every year there are around 5000 9000 cases of chicken pox and
around 100 deaths (caused by the Varicella Virus) in
America.
When the body has successfully defeated the virus, the virus will remain in the body in case of future
attacks from the same microorganism. After having chickenpox, it is unlikely to be infected by it
again. But the virus stays in your body after you re cured from the illness. After a chickenpox
infection, the virus will be inactive in the body, because if there are any future attacks by the same
virus, the body will recognize it and have an easier time destroying it. The immune system keeps the
virus inactive, but it is possible for the virus to reactivate and cause a similar form of the disease
called shingles, also referred to as herpes zoster.

Development Of Soybean Cultivars With Multiple Nematodes...
In the mid 1950s, the first SCN resistance soybean sources, PI 90763 and PI 84751 and cultivars Ilsoy
and Peking, were identified (Ross and Brim 1957). During the last 20 years, more than 120 soybean
germplasm with SCN resistance have been reported (Concibido et al. 2004; Vuong et al. 2013).
However, most of them present resistance to only one or few SCN races and only eight soybean
germplasm including Peking, PI 88788, and PI 437654 have widely been used for breeding programs
in the US (Vuong et al. 2013). Understanding of resistance to the nematodes have remained limited
because most of the reported resistance QTL have not been cloned. Also, continuous cultivation of
soybean cultivars with the same resistance sources may accelerate selection pressure for SCN as well
as other nematode species. Therefore, development of soybean cultivars with multiple nematodes
resistance would be essential to prevent losses by the nematodes that can occur in the same field. The
lack of diversity for SCN, RKN, and RN resistance source in current soybean cultivars still
emphasizes the necessity of identifying new resistance genes/QTL. Therefore, continuous germplasm
screening to find new germplasm and genes/QTL would be required for successful soybean breeding
programs. The identification of new genetic sources with broad spectrum resistance to multiple SCN
HG types, RKN and RN would be beneficial for the development of germplasm and varieties to
reduce losses from these nematode species (Lee

Three Dimensional Facial Reconstruction ( Gupta Et Al
Three Dimensional Facial Reconstruction Similar to the two dimensional approach, a forensic artist
and anthropologist are essential in three dimensional facial reconstruction (Gupta et al., 2015).
Initiating the three dimensional reconstruction techniques, clay or plastic have been typically used to
make replication of skulls (Decker, S., Davy Jow, S., Faraut, P., Ford, J., Hilbelink, D. Neville, W.,
2013). This clay or plastic replication method still utilizes soft facial tissue depth markers in order to
determine landmarks of the face (Nelson, L.A. Michael, S.D., 1998). In order to create a replication of
the face, pieces of clay or plastic is then placed in between the landmarks that are identified until the
face is filled, or close to being filled (Nelson, L.A. Michael, S.D., 1998). The process of clay or plastic
replication producing a three dimensional approximation of what the individual looks like is outlined
in Appendix B. There are multiple approaches to manual three dimensional facial approximation.
According to Gupta et al. (2015) there three subparts to this approach. The first subpart,
Anthropometrical American Method/ Tissue Depth Method , is a technique in which fine
measurements were obtained by the use of needles, X rays or ultrasound... facial muscles are recorded
in proper anatomical manner (Gupta et al., 2015, 27). A second subpart is the Anatomical Russian
Method which was developed by Gerasimov (Gupta et al., 2015, 27). In this application,

Sacco And Vanzetti And The Red Scare
At the beginning of 1920, America had just witnessed the rise of communism as a result of the first
world war. Many affected nations were in shambles and their citizens looked for refuge within the
United States. This tide of immigration carried with it citizens from around the globe who brought
with them their families, their culture, and their approach to foreign policy. America recognized this
immigration as a threat and labeled many immigrants communists . This event was called the Red
Scare and much controversy arose as a result. One of the most well known controversies of this time
was the trial of Sacco and Vanzetti. Sacco and Vanzetti created a split within the nation of minorities
and immigrants versus the frightened and prejudiced homegrown Americans ( Sacco and Vanzetti:
Were Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti Treated Fairly by the American Justice System? ). As a
result, Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti fell victim to an unfair trial based upon the stigma
associated with immigrants at that time, their unpopular political views, and a biased judge.
On April 15, 1920, the Slater and Morrill Shoe Company in Braintree, Massachusetts, fell victim to an
armed robbery. According to Louis Stark s article Are Sacco and Vanzetti Really Guilty, ...two men

Introduction to Email Content Filtering
Email is the fastest means of communication among businesses. It is even faster than the faxing.
Email facilitates the exchange of information, keeps lowest communication costs and provides

suspicious e mails (Gmail Help 2015).
In this paper, we have discussed about the advantages of email, threats related to email, techniques
used to protect the system from these threats.

Power In Lord Of The Flies Research Paper
After all, what influence does power have on people? It is clear that power varies by definition, but
should it have any effect when experienced? Several researchers suggest that power is defined as a
relevant approach to obtain some future apparent benefit. According to Polity, In the state of nature as
Hobbes describes it, where trust is nonexistent, one is forced to act as if one s gain were always
another s loss (Read, 1991). In other words, one s gain must come at a different person s expense.
Following that, power is said to relate to conflict. In the book Lord of the Flies, William Golding
illustrated how Jack s gain of power came at Ralph s expense. In the beginning, Ralphs was in charge
of the group of the boys, but Jack eventually took over and lead to a great conflict between the two. ...

Piggy s death was the outcome of Jack s offense and the desire to complete authority. However, the
authority that Jack experienced was different from that of Ralph s. They both had different types of
power; one could influence others through threat and force, while other through justice and equality.
According to the book, Jack punished boys who didn t obey, He s going to beat Wilfred... He s been
tied for hours, waiting (Golding 159), whereas Ralph maintained control through the assignment of
equal responsibilities and allowance to express own opinions, We ought to have more rules. Where the
conch is, that s a meeting (Golding 42). In this quote the conch also symbolizes democracy under
Ralph s authority as it allows others to speak while they are holding it. Moreover, research shows that
there are numerous types of power. The three different types are the Power to , Power with and Power

Enterprise Industrial Relations Essay
Todd (2012) has interviewed employer association representatives and examined their public

relations system that employer associations advocate would enhance productivity. With regard to
issues such as penalty rates and job security, there is evidence that these relate to cost cutting and
enhanced managerial prerogative rather than productivity. Discuss

Ultimately employers indicate that unless businesses can become more flexible then in the long term
there will be no work available at all (Pye, 2012).
Statistical research by Eslake (2011) has established that for the last decade Australia has been
experiencing a decline in overall productivity. This supports the main thrust of the lobbyists, who
argue that rigid organisational pay and working conditions create an inflexible organisation which is
not able to compete in the international environment. They argue that there is a direct correlation
between increased organisational flexibility and productivity, and a number of large organisations in
Australia have suggested that barriers to productivity include a lack of flexibility, increasing penalty
rates, and restrictions on the use of contractors (Todd, 2012:350). They believe that these inhibitors
should be addressed in amendments to the FWA in order to secure a productive future for Australia
and the workforce in general.
Challenges
Todd (2012) questions the validity of these sweeping arguments made by employers seeking to
challenge the FWA. She draws upon wider research which demonstrates that generalisations linking
flexibility and organisational productivity should be treated with caution as the specifics of this within
organisations are also correlated to aspects of leadership and organisational culture (Abernathy, 2011).

The Problem With Low Libido
Some call it passion, others know it as desire, and others simply refer to it as lust or canal urge, but
whatever name you want to give this elusive feeling, there s no denying that it s a feeling worth
experiencing. As a young woman, you are either doing it, trying to get it, or thinking about it. If it s
not any (or a combination) of the three, then some people will tell you outright that there s something
wrong with you. While most young women between the ages of 18 and 30 are caught up in a sexed up
culture of lingerie parties and walks of shame, some lasses painfully learn a painful lesson that low
libido is not a thing for the menopausal only. Statistics show that about 30% of young women
experience problems with low sex drive. Are you one of this unlucky lot? If yes, read on to find out
what could be the cause of your disinterest in sex: 1. Fatigue Have you heard of (or suffered from) the
honey I m tired sickness? If your answer is in the affirmative, then don t go looking for another libido
stealer. Fatigue is known to be a very common sex drive killer. The problem is that fatigue is a natural
body response of telling you that you have endured a lot physically. The best way to prevent fatigue
from stealing your sexual energy is to avoid engaging in activities that will drain your energy or exert
pressure on you physically. If you know that you have a date that will later on end up on a happy note,
it would be best to relax as much as you can. 2. Stress A

Historical Context and Performance Reflection of Ocean Alley
Ocean Alley is an ensemble consisting of 6 musicians (guitarist/vocalist, lead guitarist, rhythm
guitarist, bassist, keyboardist and drummer), which was established in 2010 on the Northern Beaches,
Sydney. Ocean Alley is currently touring various local pubs around Sydney and is also going to begin
recording its next EP as of next month. The band encompasses elements of natural, beat driven reggae
as well as various components of psychedelic rock through a large number of inspirations(Alley). This
has given the band a highly diverse, unique sound of psychedelic rock/reggae fusion(Alley). This
review will examine the historical context in which this band has grown from as well as the textural
and structural characteristics in its live performance, as well as in comparison to its studio recordings.
It will focus on the compositions of Yellow Mellow and Freedom Lover to highlight how the use of
texture, density and the fusion of two genres can create a highly distinctive sound that sets them apart
from other ensembles.
One of the main genres that Ocean Alley has embraced is reggae. Reggae is a specific genre created in
Jamaica, formed through heavy rhythmical elements where the rhythm guitar can almost be seen as a
percussion instrument on its own through the use of the expressive technique known as staccato. This,
in combination with distinctive drum and bass rhythmic structures, as well as a particular chord
structure has created a genre that has combined elements of funk,

Topics in the book SuperFreakonomics include prostitution, terrorists, doctors with poor hygiene and

This manner is that there is in each chapter an interesting story, followed by an analysis of the problem
in said story, before concluding with an solution or discovery about the underlying aspects of the
problems. Throughout this there are dozens of seemingly unconnected anecdotes that manage to tie
themselves into the greater problem. For example, the first chapter, titled how is a street prostitute like
a department store santa? starts off with an interview with a prostitute. Despite saying that she dislikes
prostitution, she admits she would do a lot more if it payed twice as much. The chapter follows this up
with a history of prostitution in Chicago. It discusses how women were likely to become prostitutes
because it payed so much more. Then the chapter analyzes why it payed so much more by going into
the supply and demand of the field. Sex was in high demand. Prostitutes were in low supply. Therefore
it was a high paying job. Overtime, as the stigma increased and casual sex became the social norm,
demand lowered, and now the modern prostitute makes a fraction of what prostitutes made a hundred
years ago. After much more discussion on the topic, the book points towards a modern study about
prostitution that shows that even non prostitutes take up prostitution during certain times of the year
(the fourth of july namely). Then it finishes by tieing back to the original question of the chapter,
stating They both take advantage of short term job opportunities brought about by holiday spikes in
demand (Levitt, 43). Thus the structure of the book is

Jazz Music, Freedom and Women
Background of Jazz
Jazz is still considered as etymology obscure as the origin and the background of the music is still
unclear to the society. According to The Oxford Dictionary of Music, 2nd Edition by Kennedy
Michael (1994), page 445 :
Jazz is a term which came into general use for a type of music which developed in the Southern States
of United States of America in the late 19th century and came into prominence at the turn of the
century in New Orleans, chiefly (but not exclusively) among black musicians
Jazz which was considered as America s classical music was developed during the late 18th century
but it only found it real habitats in Louisiana port city in New Orleans around 1900. The jazz was a
combination of blues, American popular song, musical theatre, European classical music, ragtime and
marches. During 1900 to 1928, jazz was widespread to Americans household through the recording
industry. Played by the Original Dixieland Jazz Band in 1917, Livery Stable Blues was the first jazz to
be recorded.
During the beginning of dance boom in 1910, the early jazz was widely spread through the country. As
new couple dances such as trots and two steps being introduced to the young generation, the natural
swing of jazz had made it ideal for these dances as it has uneven rhythm. This new music was then
recognised as a symbol of rebellion and flock to speakeasies, cabarets and dance halls in order for the

Important Elements Of Secrecy In Hamlet
The most important characteristics of the court at Elsinore is that it is a place full of secrets.
To what extent would you agree with this statement?
In Shakespeare s play Hamlet, there are elements of secrecy and I would argue that secrecy is not
necessarily the most important characteristic because there are lots of moments of spying within the
play too. However, I agree that Claudius secret of murdering King Hamlet defines the play and drives
the plot because everything that happens seems to be caused because of it.
Firstly, we are made aware and included with Claudius secret (killing King Hamlet) in Act 1, Scene 5,
and this is the first secret we know off suggesting that it is perhaps the most important. Hamlet

At the end of this scene, Hamlet says He may play a fool nowhere but in s own house making it clear

Moreover, in Act 3, Scene 3 Claudius confesses his big secret and seems to accept that there will be
consequences; however he isn t actually sorry for what he has done.
What then? What rests? Try what repentance can
For a lot of Claudius speech he is accepting responsibility and is aware of his actions following his
murder of King Hamlet, but it becomes apparent that he doesn t regret what he did and therefore it is
questioned whether Claudius will carry on with his plan to kill Hamlet. Hamlet is actually present
when Claudius makes his big confession, and it is up to people s interpretations whether or not Hamlet
hears what Claudius says. This could be classed as spying, and in Branagh s version it is clearly
obvious that Hamlet hears Claudius confess, but it is not certain whether or not he hears Claudius say
he does not regret what he did.
In addition to this, Hamlet spreads the secret, and tells Gertrude about his pretence of madness and
how Claudius murdered the king.

The Effect Of Insulin Humalog On Lowering Blood Glucose...
Audience and Purpose of Description
The audience for this description is the population of Type I Diabetes, Type II diabetes, their
caregivers, they health care providers, as well as general public interested in this process. The purpose
of this technical document is to inform the audience, step by step how Insulin Humalog works in
lowering blood glucose level.
Introduction to Process
Every human body wants to maintain blood glucose (blood sugar) level in normal range (70
100mg/dl). After we eat, the stomach digest food breaking it down into type of sugar, called glucose.
Furthermore, this glucose is released into the bloodstream (Figure 1). The rise of glucose level triggers
the pancreas, one of the body s organ, to release insulin, a hormone, it blood stream.

Insulin travels through the blood and acts as a key to open up body s cells and let glucose in. Once
inside, the cells convert glucose into energy or store it for later use (Figure 2).

Investigating The Internal Controls Of The Business...
Fraud prevention is a concern to both small businesses and large corporations alike. Business owners
place their trust into employees who are hired to perform duties that contribute to the success of the
company. When that trust is broken, or ideally before this occurs, businesses must look to their
internal controls in an effort to limit the opportunity for such malicious behavior. The purpose of this
paper is to define internal controls, explain the purpose it serves in the business environment, and
common internal control measures. Additionally, an example of internal control from this author s
employer will be discussed as well as an incidence of embezzlement found while researching this
topic. Let s first take a look at its definition and some examples. Internal controls, as defined by
Investopedia.com, are methods put in place by a company to ensure the integrity of financial and
accounting information, meet operational and profitability targets, and transmit management policies
throughout the organization. This system works best when applied to multiple divisions and deal with
inter departmental transactions. An example of the latter may be those occurring between the
originating department from where the transaction is originated, supply management, and accounts
payable. These methods can be broken down between a preventative and a detective category.
Preventive controls are just such: those policies and procedures that prevent an incident from
occurring.

are and what we expect of the students who attend them (620). Garland wants to better schools, so
students can be successful. Garland makes a strong argument when she states schools need uniforms,

environment. If schools require uniforms students will not spend as much time laying out their outfits
each night. Students would not struggle with self image as much, since everyone would be wearing
the same outfit. Garland states, Kids from modest backgrounds could stand out because of their

Using A Systems Theory Model
Open Systems A system interdependent on groups of people or items working together to complete a
specific goal is known as an open system (Cordan, 2013). Healthcare organizations are usually
designed around systems that interact with outside environments, indicating that they are open
systems (Cordan, 2013). The purpose of this paper is to use a systems theory model to examine a
workflow problem within an open system unit, in one organization, and design a solution to the
workflow issue.
Systems Theory Description
Cardiac and Vascular holding unit is an eight bed unit open system unit in that this unit regularly
exchanges feedback with the outside environment. The unit staff is responsible for providing care to
patients receiving invasive patient both inpatients and outpatients vascular or cardiac procedures.
Myers and O Brien Pallas, 2010, contend that an open system, Nursing Services Delivery Theory
(NSDT), certain concepts: input, output, throughput combine to influence work demands achieve
goals and complete daily workflow task
Input
In the CAV input is derived from: patients, staff, materials outside data sources, and funding. Input is
essentially the flow of energy exchange from outside sources that renews or sustains the system
(Meyer, O Brien Pallas, 2010). For this particular unit input can also be impacted by the particular
insurance standard indicting the medical necessity of certain procedures. When energies are

Gender Roles In Twelfth Night
Shakespeare s romantic comedy Twelfth Night arguably poses questions about sexuality and the social
constraints of gender. In his 1996 film adaptation of the play Trevor Nunn takes these queries and
highlights them for his audience. Nunn s opening, pictures Viola and Sebastian both dressed in harem
costumes as entertainment for the others on board the ship. Panning around the room we see Antonio
watching the twins intensely. Antonio shows very little emotion in this scene, nor any recognition of
which twin is which. This opening seems to bring the similarity of the twins to the forefront of the
audience s attention, as well as perhaps their androgyny, as not only is Sebastian dressed up as a

scene straight into the scenes Viola being accused by Antonio of being ungrateful and by Olivia and
Orsino for being dishonest, the reunion of Sebastian and Viola and finally Orsino s proposal to Viola,
this continuous sequence of events highlights its importance in clearing up the events and meaning of
the film. In the original play, however Shakespeare breaks up these events with the prank played on

rags or ragged clothing the genre was used to describe the raggedy music style found in Jamaica at the
time. Reggae incorporates the traditional Jamaican music such as mento and ska, rhythm blues, and
rocksteady. Ska characteristics such as the walking bass line of the guitar and piano off beats are used
in reggae. However, ska is much faster than reggae, so the use of rocksteady in the genre slows the ska
tempo. Reggae songs are heavily backbeated, meaning the music has highly emphasized second and
fourth beats; this style is typically found in African based musical genres. In reggae s foundation,
artists typically wrote of love, but the seventies foresaw the use of socio political and religious lyrics.
To English listeners, reggae lyrics are nearly incomprehensible. For example, Jah means God, and
Ganga is the Jamaican slang term for marijuana, a medical herb Rastafarians smoked to feel closer to
God. Since those not of this faith do not understand the importance of marijuana, reggae lyrics often
get misinterpreted as getting high.
Never the less, reggae music first rose to international acclaim in the 1970s following the release of
the movie, The Harder They Came, a story of a young man traveling through urban Jamaica. The
movie s soundtrack was comprised entirely of reggae music, skyrocketing the genre into the
mainstream. Despite the movie s success in

  • 3. Sandy Hearst Argumentative Essay After the trial and listening to the statements of the prosecutors involved, it is now up to the jury to decide what happens in this case. Dana Ivy is said to have been drunk, which resulted in a car accident on the morning of December 17. However, the defensive side says she was not intoxicated and that was not the cause of this accident occurring at the intersection of Justice and Eagle street. This accident resulted in severe injuries to Terry Vickers, the other citizen involved in this accident. Terry Vickers wants to charge Sandy Hearst, the host of a party that occurred on the night of December 16, for the damages. The plaintiff argues that Sandy was pushing drinks on Dana Ivy making her unable to operate a vehicle with control. Although Dana Ivy states to have not been drunk and that the accident was ... Although the older crowd found his music and dance moves very inappropriate, the teenagers adored and grew fond of his music which made this Mississippi star controversial. In the very beginning before Elvis, the music that was heard around the world was a lot of swing and jazz music that the Greats played. By Greats I mean well known artists like Rosemary Clooney, Artie Shaw, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and so many others. While this music was amazing in the 1940 s, a young man named Elvis Presley thought that the world should be showed a new type of music to adore and love. I believe that Elvis created his music to try and help get rid of racial barriers by music, and the critics at the time hated the thought of a white man singing black music . By doing this it was shown that critics heavily disliked him and actually compared his concerts with screaming girls and adoring teens, to Hitler mass meetings which screams insanity. There were even magazines that were not on team Elvis Presley and they strongly showed it. For example a magazine called Look stated in its 1956 issue, but Presley is mostly nightmare. On stage his gyrations . . . are vulgar . . . He has also dragged big beat music to new lows in taste . . ., with this in mind people in the older crowd have completely dragged this rock n roll star through the mud because of the little things that he has ... • 9. The Pros And Cons Of Misfolded Protein Introduction The central dogma of molecular biology conveys the idea that genetic information passes from DNA to RNA before culminating in protein synthesis (Bandyra Luisi, 2015). In essence, our genetic information is mainly used to code for specific proteins. There are 20 amino acids that can be bonded together in many different orders to form a number in excess of 10 million proteins across all biological organisms (Innovateus, 2015). Proteins have many different uses and functions, as well as modifications. Examples of these differences include glycoproteins with carbohydrates attached to be used in the cell membrane and phosphorylated serine molecules that act as metabolites. For the protein to be able to carry out its specific function, it must fold in the correct way. A precise path must be followed to allow the correct shape to be formed and if there is an error in this process, the misfolded protein could lead to dangerous diseases forming. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The point of using this molecule is to reduce the risk of proteins folding into non functioning shapes and aggregating (Saibil, 2006). Protein aggregation is the accumulation of misfolded proteins and they can form insoluble plaques known as amyloids. The pathway to aggregation is, perhaps; an alternative to the innate pathway and that the aggregation pathway favours interactions within the molecules rather than between them (Stefani, 2004). There are specific and non specific forms of chaperones and it is thought that their existence was a product of evolution. Therefore, protein misfolding is likely to have been a prominent feature of life, encouraging the eventual production of quality control molecules. A mutation to the chaperones can render them obsolete and in some cases they are not present at all. Some diseases are caused by a mutation to the chaperone or an absence of the protein altogether (Reynaud, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The roars of men are zipping through the air as bodies are torn limb from limb. Grotesque as this image may be only a few hundred years ago were people competing in stadiums adorned by thousands of viewers. Competition has always been a part of human nature, ever since the first man put his foot onto this planet the race has been on. Certainly competition has changed as years have gone by. First we competed for food on a daily basis, competition was needed in order to just make it through the day, as many years began to pass competition began to turn into daze in which people could watch others fight for their lives fighting against creatures from other parts of the world unknown to their own. Today, we no longer face the life or death bouts over a single meal. The sense of competition has not dulled, yet it has been moved from a daily survival to more of an extravagance for viewers to behold the abilities of others in awe. These days, the most anticipated competitions are held in football stadiums, boxing rings, and weight rooms. The rewards for today s gladiators consist of bragging rights over a rival, worldwide notoriety, and large sums of money. Being the best at what we do, getting the feeling that you are number one is what we as humans have always strived for. No matter what the cost had been we always took another step forward ... I will also discuss how the transistor radio effected this cross pollination. America had a huge influence on World music due to the influence of us giving music an actual name. Some cultures did not even have a name for music. Through a wide range of genres, America has been the supreme leader of modern music. America has shaped how we listen to many genres of music, from pop to even folk. For example, punk was an American creation that was impacting on global music trends. Chicken pox is mainly found to infect children because they stay in big groups and have a lot of contact with each other. It is a problem because it causes many issues and symptoms to certain individuals, the disease can be serious and deadly. The main symptoms of Chicken Pox include experiencing extreme itchiness around your body, flu like symptoms (stuffy nose, sneezing, etc.), rashes and blisters, sore throat, headaches, stomachaches and pain around the spots. Also, every year there are around 5000 9000 cases of chicken pox and around 100 deaths (caused by the Varicella Virus) in America. When the body has successfully defeated the virus, the virus will remain in the body in case of future attacks from the same microorganism. After having chickenpox, it is unlikely to be infected by it again. But the virus stays in your body after you re cured from the illness. After a chickenpox infection, the virus will be inactive in the body, because if there are any future attacks by the same virus, the body will recognize it and have an easier time destroying it. The immune system keeps the virus inactive, but it is possible for the virus to reactivate and cause a similar form of the disease called shingles, also referred to as herpes zoster. • 14. Development Of Soybean Cultivars With Multiple Nematodes... In the mid 1950s, the first SCN resistance soybean sources, PI 90763 and PI 84751 and cultivars Ilsoy and Peking, were identified (Ross and Brim 1957). During the last 20 years, more than 120 soybean germplasm with SCN resistance have been reported (Concibido et al. 2004; Vuong et al. 2013). However, most of them present resistance to only one or few SCN races and only eight soybean germplasm including Peking, PI 88788, and PI 437654 have widely been used for breeding programs in the US (Vuong et al. 2013). Understanding of resistance to the nematodes have remained limited because most of the reported resistance QTL have not been cloned. Also, continuous cultivation of soybean cultivars with the same resistance sources may accelerate selection pressure for SCN as well as other nematode species. Therefore, development of soybean cultivars with multiple nematodes resistance would be essential to prevent losses by the nematodes that can occur in the same field. The lack of diversity for SCN, RKN, and RN resistance source in current soybean cultivars still emphasizes the necessity of identifying new resistance genes/QTL. Therefore, continuous germplasm screening to find new germplasm and genes/QTL would be required for successful soybean breeding programs. The identification of new genetic sources with broad spectrum resistance to multiple SCN HG types, RKN and RN would be beneficial for the development of germplasm and varieties to reduce losses from these nematode species (Lee ... • 16. Three Dimensional Facial Reconstruction ( Gupta Et Al Three Dimensional Facial Reconstruction Similar to the two dimensional approach, a forensic artist and anthropologist are essential in three dimensional facial reconstruction (Gupta et al., 2015). Initiating the three dimensional reconstruction techniques, clay or plastic have been typically used to make replication of skulls (Decker, S., Davy Jow, S., Faraut, P., Ford, J., Hilbelink, D. Neville, W., 2013). This clay or plastic replication method still utilizes soft facial tissue depth markers in order to determine landmarks of the face (Nelson, L.A. Michael, S.D., 1998). In order to create a replication of the face, pieces of clay or plastic is then placed in between the landmarks that are identified until the face is filled, or close to being filled (Nelson, L.A. Michael, S.D., 1998). The process of clay or plastic replication producing a three dimensional approximation of what the individual looks like is outlined in Appendix B. There are multiple approaches to manual three dimensional facial approximation. According to Gupta et al. (2015) there three subparts to this approach. Several researchers suggest that power is defined as a relevant approach to obtain some future apparent benefit. According to Polity, In the state of nature as Hobbes describes it, where trust is nonexistent, one is forced to act as if one s gain were always another s loss (Read, 1991). Ultimately employers indicate that unless businesses can become more flexible then in the long term there will be no work available at all (Pye, 2012). Statistical research by Eslake (2011) has established that for the last decade Australia has been experiencing a decline in overall productivity. This supports the main thrust of the lobbyists, who argue that rigid organisational pay and working conditions create an inflexible organisation which is not able to compete in the international environment. They argue that there is a direct correlation between increased organisational flexibility and productivity, and a number of large organisations in Australia have suggested that barriers to productivity include a lack of flexibility, increasing penalty rates, and restrictions on the use of contractors (Todd, 2012:350). They believe that these inhibitors should be addressed in amendments to the FWA in order to secure a productive future for Australia and the workforce in general. Challenges Todd (2012) questions the validity of these sweeping arguments made by employers seeking to challenge the FWA. • 34. Investigating The Internal Controls Of The Business... Fraud prevention is a concern to both small businesses and large corporations alike. Business owners place their trust into employees who are hired to perform duties that contribute to the success of the company. When that trust is broken, or ideally before this occurs, businesses must look to their internal controls in an effort to limit the opportunity for such malicious behavior. The purpose of this paper is to define internal controls, explain the purpose it serves in the business environment, and common internal control measures. Additionally, an example of internal control from this author s employer will be discussed as well as an incidence of embezzlement found while researching this topic. Let s first take a look at its definition and some examples. Internal controls, as defined by Investopedia.com, are methods put in place by a company to ensure the integrity of financial and accounting information, meet operational and profitability targets, and transmit management policies throughout the organization. This system works best when applied to multiple divisions and deal with inter departmental transactions. An example of the latter may be those occurring between the originating department from where the transaction is originated, supply management, and accounts payable. These methods can be broken down between a preventative and a detective category. Preventive controls are just such: those policies and procedures that prevent an incident from occurring. ... • 35. Summary Of Let s Really Reform Our Schools By Anita Garland Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world (Nelson Mandela). In Let s Really Reform Our Schools by Anita Garland she discusses how schools need to change to help students succeed. Garland states, We need to completely restructure our thinking about what schools are and what we expect of the students who attend them (620). Garland wants to better schools, so students can be successful. Garland makes a strong argument when she states schools need uniforms, better food and to remove disruptive students. If schools do so there will w a better learning environment. If schools require uniforms students will not spend as much time laying out their outfits each night. Students would not struggle with self image as much, since everyone would be wearing the same outfit. Garland states, Kids from modest backgrounds could stand out because of their personalities and intelligence, rather then being tagged as losers because they can t wear the season s hottest sneakers or jeans (621). And then back to the classroom for a few hours of intense mental activity, fueled on fat, salt, and sugar (621). I agree with Garland. How are you going to expect students to function on sugar and fat? • 36. Using A Systems Theory Model Open Systems A system interdependent on groups of people or items working together to complete a specific goal is known as an open system (Cordan, 2013). Healthcare organizations are usually designed around systems that interact with outside environments, indicating that they are open systems (Cordan, 2013). The purpose of this paper is to use a systems theory model to examine a workflow problem within an open system unit, in one organization, and design a solution to the workflow issue. Systems Theory Description Cardiac and Vascular holding unit is an eight bed unit open system unit in that this unit regularly exchanges feedback with the outside environment. The unit staff is responsible for providing care to patients receiving invasive patient both inpatients and outpatients vascular or cardiac procedures. Myers and O Brien Pallas, 2010, contend that an open system, Nursing Services Delivery Theory (NSDT), certain concepts: input, output, throughput combine to influence work demands achieve goals and complete daily workflow task Input In the CAV input is derived from: patients, staff, materials outside data sources, and funding. Input is essentially the flow of energy exchange from outside sources that renews or sustains the system (Meyer, O Brien Pallas, 2010). For this particular unit input can also be impacted by the particular insurance standard indicting the medical necessity of certain procedures. When energies are transformed within the system it then indicates ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Brazilian Culture Research Paper I am half Brazilian and half Japanese. My grandmother immigrated to Brazil when she was three years old. There she met my grandfather, whom was also Japanese, and started her family. I was born in Brazil in 1989, and I lived there until I was eleven. In 2000, my mother decided to move to Japan because of its exceeding economy. When I first arrived in Japan, I was in shock! I had no idea that a world so different from the one I ve known even existed. Brazilians and Japanese are the complete opposite. The Brazilian culture is individualistic, and Brazilians tend to value individualism. They all want to be unique in a certain way; no Brazilian wants to be average or just like everybody else. Japanese culture, on the other hand, is collectivistic, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They tend to arrive later than they are supposed to. Even services such as trains or TV programs tend to be delayed. Japanese, on the other hand, are extremely punctual. If they say eight clock, it s eight o clock; not 7:59; not 8:01. Shops, buses, trains; all the services follow the exact time they are supposed to. And the list goes on and on... People often ask me Are you more Brazilian or more Japanese? My answer is: neither. I think that when someone lives at a different country from their own, it changes them, and they become something else. You still maintain some aspects of the first country that you lived in, but you also acquire some aspects of the second country. You don t fully become the second race nor you can go back to be what you were before, leaving you at an intermediate state. I am neither Brazilian nor Japanese, I am another race. When I was living in Brazil as a child, I identified myself as Brazilian. My personality was typical of a Brazilian girl. But those thirteen years that I lived in Japan affected me and I acquired some Japanese characteristics. I am easy going, friendly, and passionate; I express my feelings and emotions freely; and I know when to say no as a Brazilian. But I am also punctual; I pay attention to details; and I try not to disturb my neighbors as a Japanese would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. My Brother Sam Is Dead Quotes In the novel, My Brother Sam is Dead, Father says, Is it worth war to save a few pence in taxes? (Collier and Collier 21). This quote summarizes the main idea of that war does nothing. My Brother Sam is Dead is written by James and Christopher Collier. The authors introduce many strong characters that include Sam, Tim, Life, and Susannah Meeker and takes place during the American Revolutionary War. The authors, Collier and Collier, try to prove that war does not help by adding the theme inside of a realistic plot that involves family and death, something everyone has or has gone through in their life. By adding family and death, it makes readers connect the story to our life and makes the reader question if war is actually worth it if the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, Mr. Meeker and Sam have an argument which leads to Mr.Meeker kicking Sam out. Go Sam. Go. Get out of my sight. I can t bear to look at you anymore in that vile costume. Get out. And don t come back until you come dressed as my son, not a stranger. (Collier and Collier 22). This quote is an example of the author s message by showing readers that differing opinions over war or the side a family member takes can cause a disturbance in a family. War also tore the Meeker s apart by having death occur within their family. War can obviously get someone killed and they cannot be brought back to life. Death can easily hurt a family and affect the remaining family members. For instance, after Mr.Meeker s death, Susannah, Tim and Sam s mother, becomes an alcoholic and Tim becomes more mature and responsible. This changed the Meeker s way of how they act and the way they process information. It makes them take sides and blame others for actions they cannot control. Bah patriotism. Your patriotism has got my husband in prison and one of my children out there in the rain and the muck shooting people and likely to be dead any minute, and my business is half ruined. Go sell your patriotism elsewhere, I ve had enough of it. (Collier and Collier 149) This quote is a perfect example of war ripping families ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 40. Gender Roles In Twelfth Night Shakespeare s romantic comedy Twelfth Night arguably poses questions about sexuality and the social constraints of gender. In his 1996 film adaptation of the play Trevor Nunn takes these queries and highlights them for his audience. Nunn s opening, pictures Viola and Sebastian both dressed in harem costumes as entertainment for the others on board the ship. Panning around the room we see Antonio watching the twins intensely. Antonio shows very little emotion in this scene, nor any recognition of which twin is which. This opening seems to bring the similarity of the twins to the forefront of the audience s attention, as well as perhaps their androgyny, as not only is Sebastian dressed up as a harem girl, but underneath this first costume Viola is wearing a fake moustache disguising her as a male. The opening of the original play presents ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This confusion may be admitted by the audience due to their similarity in appearance both dressed as men and their manner being so alike. Nunn reminds his audience of the likeness which he portrayed in his opening scene, when Sebastian meets Feste and performs the same trick with the coin that Cesario performed at the beginning of the film. Sebastian s obvious confusion with the situation is seemingly ignored by Olivia in her excitement when Sebastian says that he will be ruled by [her]. Nunn runs this scene straight into the scenes Viola being accused by Antonio of being ungrateful and by Olivia and Orsino for being dishonest, the reunion of Sebastian and Viola and finally Orsino s proposal to Viola, this continuous sequence of events highlights its importance in clearing up the events and meaning of the film. In the original play, however Shakespeare breaks up these events with the prank played on Malvolio, this moves the full attention of the audience away from these points and changes the meaning of the play to be more about trickery and ... • 42. The Musical Genre Of Reggae The musical genre, reggae, was originally coined in the 1960s. Derived from rege rege Jamaican for rags or ragged clothing the genre was used to describe the raggedy music style found in Jamaica at the time. Reggae incorporates the traditional Jamaican music such as mento and ska, rhythm blues, and rocksteady. Ska characteristics such as the walking bass line of the guitar and piano off beats are used in reggae. However, ska is much faster than reggae, so the use of rocksteady in the genre slows the ska tempo. Reggae songs are heavily backbeated, meaning the music has highly emphasized second and fourth beats; this style is typically found in African based musical genres. In reggae s foundation, artists typically wrote of love, but the seventies foresaw the use of socio political and religious lyrics. To English listeners, reggae lyrics are nearly incomprehensible. For example, Jah means God, and Ganga is the Jamaican slang term for marijuana, a medical herb Rastafarians smoked to feel closer to God. Since those not of this faith do not understand the importance of marijuana, reggae lyrics often get misinterpreted as getting high. Never the less, reggae music first rose to international acclaim in the 1970s following the release of the movie, The Harder They Came, a story of a young man traveling through urban Jamaica. The movie s soundtrack was comprised entirely of reggae music, skyrocketing the genre into the mainstream. Despite the movie s success in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
