Australia s Business Cycle
Abstract
This paper focuses on Australia s business cycle. It explains factors of Australia s business cycle, the
rise and fall and how these have changed over time. This paper shows and demonstrates the key
features of Australian business cycles during 2010 2015. It, specifically, identifies the chronologies in
the nation s classical cycle (expansions and contractions in the level of output) and growth cycle
(periods of above trend and below trend rates of economic growth). Which presented an assessment of

Tons of CO2 will be inserted underground. When the project is complete, it will release four times less
carbon dioxide in the earth, compared to any other project. Therefore, 40 per cent of greenhouse
emissions from the project will be cut. According to the Australian Minister for Resources and Energy,
CO2 created in the production of LNG in Australia reduces four tons of CO2 in Japan, and nine tons
in China, when it s used instead of using coal.
In short, demand for LNG is expected to develop briskly in the Asia Pacific. Thus, Australia has
remained as a leading center for LNG investment and is likely to become the first and largest LNG
supplier worldwide during the years. Accordingly, improvements in the LNG market have an
increased importance to the Aussie.

The Importance of Roger Spottiswoode’s Screen Adaptation...
The Importance of Roger Spottiswoode s Screen Adaptation of And The Band Played On
[1] Hollywood is no longer just a name, it is a business, a living entity holding America s people in its
grasp, and it is not about to let them go. Gradually taking on more responsibility and trying to build up
its reputation over the years, Hollywood has progressively assumed the position of history teller for
the American public. This role, whether or not an appropriate one for an industry such as Hollywood
to tackle, has catapulted actors and actresses into high paying, high visibility positions. History has
and will continue to be one of the main subjects that the movie industry has been fascinated with. It is

The debate over cinematic history still remains, and it will continue to challenge Hollywood,
constantly forcing the industry to make the best possible movies, producing historical epics on the big
screen, making history a universal and personable subject.
[3] In 1993, a small time director at HBO Productions thought it was about time that a movie was
made discussing the broad, taboo topic of the AIDS epidemic. Roger Spottiswoode was the director,
and he took author Randy Shilts controversial journal And The Band Played On: Politics, People and
the AIDS Epidemic (1987) and turned it into a movie. Spottiswoode took the challenge facing
Hollywood straight on and was bold enough to attempt a project that had been passed over and
rejected for six years straight. From the beginning to end And The Band Played On was a fight.
Spottiswoode fought for HBO to take the project on, and he fought with Hollywood to try to entice
actors to participate in it. The fight continued after the release of the cable TV movie, with critics and
the public simply not wanting to know or be informed of the truth.
[4] With controversy surrounding the production of the movie, the fight seeped into the movie and its
evidence in the story. The portrayal of the actors and the fight that each character undergoes is an
illustration of the fight that AIDS forced our country to face in the early 1980 s. With Richard Gere s

Dierks Bentley Research Papers
Keeping it all cool and relaxed in a very demanding genre such as country music requires adamant
skill and incomparable passion. Not all country musicians have the guts to stay afloat and be resilient,
causing some of them to fall off the trail and never regained what they started anymore. Some have
succumbed into the notion that being known once and for a short period of time will suit them well
already, while for those who planned to stay as soon as their audience needs them, loving the craft and
being addicted to fame are key points for you to succeed. We have known bag shot names such as
Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Alison Krauss and Shania Twain to have dominated the country music realm,
and yet, we know in our subconscious that there are other great artists just waiting for us to unravel.
Take for example the admirable Dierks Bentley, a man who got the country music flowing through his
blood as if he s created just to serve this genre. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Similarities Between Arrow And The Flash
Has there ever been a point in your life that you wished you could be a superhero or superhuman?
Most, if not all, people s answer to that question would be a resounding yes, including mine. Over the
years, more TV shows and movies have begun to incorporate what we would consider to be our heroes
into them. These shows, or movies, consist of a hero, or heroes, that are typically aided by friends and
a team that help them fight evil; two examples of this are Arrow and The Flash. Hero shows, or
movies, can be a quite broad category, but it can be broken into smaller categories like superhuman
heroes, mortal heroes, dark heroes, or otherworldly heroes. The Flash is a superhuman hero while
Green Arrow is a mortal, but dark hero. The two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Oliver vows that every person on his father s list will wish he too had died on that island. Similar to
the first episode of Arrow, The Flash has it s first episode named Pilot as well. It begins with a
flashback to when Barry Allen s, the main character, mom is killed in an unexplainable event and his
dad is convicted of her murder... which Barry believes to be untrue. Now, 14 years later, Barry works
for Central City C.S.I and is quite good at his job. On one particular night a particle accelerator,
created by Harrison Wells and was supposed to change the way everyone thought about physics,
exploded releasing an unimaginable amount of dark energy. Lightning then struck Barry, which put
him in a coma for nine months. After waking up, Barry began to notice certain things were slowing
down... or so he thought. In reality, he was just moving unexplainably fast. When a man named Clyde
Martin that can inexplicably control the weather starts terrorizing the city, Barry takes it upon himself
to take him down. He speaks with Oliver Queen for advice, Barry knows Oliver is the Arrow, and
Oliver tells him that he can inspire people the way he himself never could. Barry then takes on Clyde
Martin head on and defeats him. The storylines between the two shows are similar because they both
begin by showing what made the two heroes and what made them who they are stemmed from former
accidents.

I Want to Study Educational Psychology
It is the extraordinarily young hours of May 24th, 1993. The sun is trying with all its might to shine its
light through the hospital windows in an attempt to bring life back into the world. In this hospital, the
smell of the sterile hair fills everyone s nose as the nurse s bustle about, tending to their patients.
Then, the wail a newborn baby rings out through the silent maternity ward halls; I have been born.
Fast forward almost 21 years into the future. My name is Deanna Mix and I was born in Nashville,
Tennessee to Aneta and Gary Mix. Five years later, my parents had my younger and only sibling,
Samantha. I spent the first 11 years of my childhood in Tennessee, a state I truly love and intend on
moving back to the fall season to continue my education in International Relations. In Tennessee, we
lived with my babcia and dziadek, which is Polish for grandma and grandpa. Since my mother and her
side of the family moved to America from Poland, I grew up in a bilingual family, and I was able to
learn a second language fairly early in life. That being said, according to many psychological studies,
learning a second language early greatly helps a child s cognitive development

Chatterje Psychodynamic Theories Of Social Work
Introduction
Human behavior has been described and understood from a multitude of perspectives, which have
been furthered developed into many theories over time. These theories provide the framework for
social work. Social workers must have a firm understanding of human behavior in order to fully
understand a client and the various challenges they may experience. The following paper discusses
several of these theories and how they relate to the field of social work.
Systems Theory People aren t one dimensional; they form in depth, complex relationships in a
multitude of environments, and interact within these environments which we call systems. These
systems are interrelated and form the unique experience of each individual, and therefore, can be
helpful or hurtful in the change process. Systems theory is not only a singular construct but rather an
underlying component for many theories that vary greatly in their application (Robbins, ... Show more

The first is its focus on childhood experiences. Sigmund Freud believed that the development of the
psyche depended on the way children navigated through various phases of development: The oral
stage, the anal stage, the phallic stage, the latency stage and the genital stage. In addition, their
experiences in childhood drive their behavior as adults (Robbins, Chatterjee Canda, 2012). A second
key concept is based on the unconscious and preconscious, and how it motivates an individual s
behavior. According to Robbins et al. (2012), The unconscious is the part of the mind that holds ideas,
thoughts, and memories that we cannot access and bring into our conscious awareness...the
preconscious holds ideas, thoughts, and memories that we are not currently thinking of, but if we
concentrate, we can bring these to our conscious (p. 171). It is in the unconscious mind, the id, where
the drives and instincts of the original originate (Robbins, Chatterjee Canda,

Masculinity of Mike Tyson
Iron Mike Events, icons, technology, and environment affect the male population in America. Most
males have a person they look up to for inspirations and motivations. Males want to be tough and
strong, and they want to be feared by other males. Males enjoy being better than everyone else and
impressing women. When a successful male icon experiences a downfall, most men are shocked and
fear for their own downfall. Mike Tyson is an example of a successful male whose downfall became a
public spectacle for all to witness. Tyson, once a popular male icon, soon affected the male population
while building his own criminal record. The fight of Mike Tyson vs. Evander Holyfield demonstrates
how far a man will go to obtain the title of the Iron ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mike Tyson claims that he acted as he did in the ring because he feared he would lose the fight to
Holyfield since he had a cut above his eye. His claim proves that as a male, he was scared of losing his
title of championship and beating his opponent was more important than his values. He accepted any
punishment and said he expect[s] to pay the price as a man, showing his desire to remain manly and
strong (1). Even after apologizing and admitting he is wrong, Tyson wants to prove to his fans and
everyone else that he would have won the fight. Tyson remains full of pride after his mistake and
states that he was saddened that the fight did not go further so that the boxing fans of the world might
see for themselves who would come out on top (2). Mike Tyson s actions impacted masculinity in
America, showing that even while being successful one can experience a downfall. Biting Holyfield s
ear was the beginning of Tyson s downfall. The incident with Holyfield was an addition to Tyson s
criminal record. After this event, there was more attention towards Tyson s increasing criminal record.
Before the fight versus Holyfield, Mike Tyson had been convicted of raping a pageant queen. His
behavior was not strange to some people because he never had stable relationships with women (Grass

The Pros And Cons Of Capitalization
Capitalization
We live in the era of Globalization, which refers to the international integration of goods, services,
people, and money with the purpose of making an area more profitable or productive, or useful. This
term sounds good for everybody. If we exchange all these components, the living of the global citizens
raises, but this is not all true. In fact, this exchange originates more macrolevel issues globally, and
with these problems, also microlevel issues. I m not saying it has not been an effective way all these
past years to benefit the population with a more worldwide opportunity to success, but has it been
addressed correctly? Let s take a look to some of the problems that overrun our world.
Many nations go blind with the idea of producing more profitable people for their countries economic
growth to the point that they strength up iceberg issues in society, problems that only their top are
known but their bottom are unacknowledged. When we explore these issues deeper we find that there
is an inequality in human rights. One of the main rights that is not given in a same quality to
everybody is education. For instance, students from wealthy families get the chance to go to good
schools and universities, while students living in poverty have minimum chances to go to good
schools or they don t even get the opportunity to attend college, as it has been proven to us in the
podcast Carlos doesn t remember , when Carlos is given the opportunity to attend a

The Greatest Tunnel Ever! Essay
The day had that perfect quality you always associate with childhood memories. I was eight, maybe
nine, at the time of this particular memory, a small, ponytailed, freckled child with dirty legs and
dirtier arms and face, full of energy and hope all children possess when looking forward to playing

afternoon, the tar road had started to bubble under my feet. The ponies tethered at the side of the road

Differences Between The Bodhisattva In The Davis Museum
Another more obvious difference between the Bodhisattva in the Davis Museum is the coloring of
each. Unfortunately, time has worn away most of the paint on these heads, but the left Bodhisattva
shows more remnants of the original painting, including a small wavy mustache. Red paint can still be
seen in the headdress, the urna and the lines of the neck. Both heads have dark paint outlining the
eyebrows and the eyes, offering the viewer a look into Gandharan culture. One can see the hair was
once painted black based on the left Bodhisattva s hair which still contains some of the dark pigment.
While most of the paint has worn away, the naturalistic sculpting style allows the life of the
Bodhisattvas to remain intact without the added color. The sculptures appear dynamic due to the use
of lines and shadows in order to further one s sense of naturalism. The eye sockets are set deep into

The stucco heads are examples of the novel art that was formed when art from different countries was
allowed to influence each other. This is visibly illustrated by the Davis Museum placing the
Gandharan heads between the South Asian and Mediterranean exhibits, symbolizing the mixing of the
various art forms. While the informational cards about the Bodhisattvas are helpful tools, they must be
taken with a grain of salt. Whatever is printed on the informational cards must be questioned and

controls the narrative that the audience will learn about each piece. Nonetheless, it is critical to be

Gentrification Of The West Philadelphia
Gentrification in North Philadelphia
Gentrification began to garner a great deal of attention from scholars, politicians, and the media soon
after the phenomenon was first identified by Ruth Glass in the 1964 (Glass, 1964). Politicians and
academics have debated[[delete,] what constitutes gentrification, whether gentrification is a legitimate
means of improving the economy of metropolitan neighborhoods, or if the influx of wealthier
residents into a low income neighborhood is more akin to an invasion,, an invasion which could lead
to conflict along class and racial/ethnic lines as once public spaces are appropriated by corporate
interests. I intend to conduct a study of gentrification in the Northern Philadelphia area, but I have ...

How has the expansion of Temple University affected the Cecil B. Moore neighborhood? (or

Are changing rent and property rates linked to the expansion of Temple s campus? (alternatively: Are
the changing rent and property rates in East Kensington linked to realtors and development

Theory
Soon after the term gentrification was conceived, scholars began to develop and debate its theoretical
foundation. Neil Smith and David Ley engaged in one of the more important theoretical debates about
the causal factors of gentrification. Neil Smith s rent gap theory frames gentrification in economic
terms. Essentially the rent gap theory is based on the classic economic law of supply and demand
(Smith, 1979). According to Smith when there is a disparity between income collected from rent and
the potential achievable rental income, investors will seek to renovate and increase rent (Smith, 1979).
Ley rejects Smith s claim that gentrification is caused only by the changing housing market and
presented his own theory which places societal needs as the driving force behind

The Minoans Civilization
The Minoans were a civilization who flourished from 3000 BCE until 1100 BCE on the island of
Crete, were greatly influenced by the Phoenicians, Egyptians, Syrians and the Anatolians (Britannica
Encyclopedia). This civilization made major contributions to Western European development in the
areas of language, architecture and art. It was the famous archaeologist Sir Arthur Evans who made
the astounding discoveries at Knossos in the early 1900 s that introduced to the world the fascinating
and wonderful sophistication of these early Greeks (Britannica Encyclopedia). The history of the
island has been molded by its proximity to the Aegean Sea. Its geographical location gave it control
over the sea and the lucrative trade routes. The Minoans traded with Egypt, the Levant, the Aegean,
and beyond to Italy, and Sicily.
The great Minoan civilization of Crete formed around palaces such as those at Knossos, Phaestus,
Ayia Triada, and Tyliossos. The extremely important Palace of Minos at Knossos gives us crucial
evidence of a continuous architectural brilliance and highly developed artistic sense, bringing together
all aspects of architectural style, art, and innovation during the Minoan period between 1700 BCE and
1580 BCE and continuing until the invasion of the Achaeans in the 12th century BCE (Britannica

Freedom iin Kate Chopin s The Awakening Essay
Finding Freedom in The Awakening
In her novel, The Awakening, Kate Chopin shows Edna Pontellier¹s confrontations with society, her
imprisonment in marriage and Edna¹s exploration of her own sexuality. Chopin also portrays Edna as
a rebel, who after her experiences at Grand Isle wants to live a full and a free life and not to follow the
rules of society. Edna¹s life ends in her suicide, but her death does not come as a surprise. Chopin
foreshadows Edna¹s death by the use of nature and Edna¹s connection to it; also by the use of symbols,
especially the symbolic meaning of a bird; and by the use of many different characters in the novel,
such as Robert Lebrun, Mademoiselle Reisz and Madame Ratignolle.

Mademoiselle Reisz tells Edna that people are cruel and if Edna doesn¹t feel strong enough, she will
be like a weakling bruised, exhausted, fluttering back to earth (533). This conversation foreshadows
Edna¹s lack of strength and her death. As Edna takes her last swim, she sees the bird with a broken
wing , falling down to the water (558). Edna feels weak; she falls down into the waters of Grand Isle.
When Edna meets Robert Lebrun at Grand Isle, she experiences an awakening from her life long,
stupid dream , as she recalls her life (553). She is ready to give her heart to Robert, but he flees Grand
Isle and Edna before he ruins his reputation as a good Creole . Robert knows that the Creole husband
is never jealous about the harmless flirting and as a good Creole , Robert cannot go beyond these
social boundaries (475). Robert follows the rules of his society; his departure foreshadows his future
actions towards Edna. She returns to her pigeon house and finds that Robert is not waiting for her and
the house is empty (556). Robert is gone again. Edna remembers the warning of Mademoiselle Reisz
about the cruelty of society. Edna is scared to face the cruelty alone. Edna feels that without Robert by
her side she is helpless. Edna doesn¹t want anyone near her except Robert (557) but he cannot be a
good Creole and be with Edna. Even if Robert would be

When I Came To America
When I came to America from China at age 16, everyone around me appeared to be different.
However, I didn t just talk to my Chinese friends. I pushed myself outside of my bubble; I tried my
best to make friends with American students, while I still maintained good relationships with my
Chinese friends. America is very different from what I expected, everyone speaks so fast and unclear;
it almost made English a completely different language from what I had already learned. As I was
trying to make friends, I realized that Chinese culture had made me different from Americans; things
that I was curious about as a Chinese person were very private to American students. For example, in
America, people won t mention what their parents jobs are when they meet someone for the first time.

Reason is, the current demand forecast could be different with price increase. The risk is too high and
doesn t create growth.
Recommendation
The best option for Livoria at this time is to expand its menu into the vegetarian options. Not only is
this the best way to prepare for the future but it will also meet all of the preferences of the
stakeholders while aligning with the corporate objectives, mission and vision of the company. The
$1.1 million goal will also be met by the end of 2013. No constraints will be broken.
Implementation
In order for Livoria to be successful in implementing the menu expansion, it must first contact its
suppliers and ensure they can meet the change and increase in veggie demand. Next training and
logistics must be arranged in house to adapt to the change in menu options. Quality must be
maintained and no short cuts can be made. With the financial analysis provided in Exhibit 4

The Pros and Cons of Cell Phones Essay
The effects of technology on society will always be a double edged sword. The debate is a never
ending one, in which both sides have valid and compelling arguments. The Industrial Revolution
reduced manual labor in the long run, but had negative consequences such as child labor and
sweatshop conditions. Nuclear Power reduces the cost of producing energy, but raises serious
environmental issues like pollution and radiation. In this day in age refusing to assimilate to at least
some form of modern living is simply not an option. One invention causing controversy today that has
yet to cease being alter, modified, and improved since its debut is the ever present cell phone. Even as

alone every year. The issue of driving while talking on a cell phone has become serious enough that
five states have passed laws prohibiting this type of act and making it a primary offense to do so. Not
only are drivers talking behind the wheel, but many have admitted to engaging in even more
potentially dangerous behavior with their phones such as text messaging and surfing the internet. A
distracted driver is a dangerous one. If you are focused on a conversation and your eyes are not on the
road, drivers cannot be expected to make a quick and safe decision should the need for one arise. The
behavior of a driver while using a cell phone has been compared to that of one driving while under the
influence. Studies have shown that those who use a cell phone while driving are four times more
likely to be involved in a crash than those who don t. On the flip side, it is very reassuring to know as
you are driving down the highway that if you were to get a flat tire or your engine were to overheat
you could flip open that gadget in the cup holder next to you and have a plan b on the way. Cell
phones have also been used to make calls in more serious life and death situations where immediate
help is needed. Obviously, having a cell phone in your car within reach is much better when the
seconds count than finding the nearest land line. One of the earliest complaints of cell phones was the
disturbances they

First Sight Is Real
In my own opinion I will explain to you if I think love at first sight is real. I believe that love at first
glance isn t real because you truly have no idea who that person is. If you like somebody because of
their looks, it s from lust or desire, not love. You have to know the person, not just go out and propose
to every single, pretty person out there, otherwise it could actually lead to bad decisions and later can
harm you.
When we were all little we got told to stay away from strangers because they will kidnap us, well now
that we are older we just assume we are okay, and safe..but we actually aren t. Ted bundy is a good
example of this, Bundy was regarded as handsome and charismatic by many of his young female
victims, traits he exploited to win their trust. He typically approached them in public places, feigning
injury or disability, or impersonating an authority figure, before overpowering and assaulting them at
more secluded locations.. The victims trusted him, because he was handsome, and well spoken, so
they wouldn t of ever thought he was a bad person. Real courage is displayed in the book beowulf. He
was a man who would fight with honor and courage. He would even disarm his weapon if his enemy

Everybody Loves Raymond Tv Show Analysis
After watching both TV Sitcoms, Everybody loves Raymond and Modern Family , there is a lot of
differences and similarities to analyze, comparing both on styles and production. First, Everybody
loves Raymond is an American TV series show in the sitcom genre, created by Philip Rosenthal and
aired on CBS since 1996. When I was watching it, I noticed that their settings were practically similar
to ¨Modern Family¨, showing both sites in a family house. For example, both TV shows started with
an establishing show. It is showing basically an overview of the location on where the scene will take
place. The director used different settings in the house, like for example, in the bedroom, kitchen,
living and dining room. The lighting in ¨Everybody ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Indeed, this is like that because the creators Christopher Lloyd Steven Levitan, made this TV sitcom
particularly in a Mockumentary style or (docu comedy style, in which means that they present the
events in a documentary style just to create comedy. Modern Family have that particular style of using
more camera movements than the show of Everybody loves Raymond , that is more static. This
dramatically movements of the camera makes the show seems like in a face pace running all the time.
They do faster close ups, zooms in/ out, tilting up/ down, and they do faster movements of panning
left/ right, to follow the conversation of the actors, which is totally different from the other show.
Another differences on both shows is that in ¨Modern Family¨ they have that particular style when you
see the actors talking directly to the camera, like they are having a conversation to someone, or just
maybe pretending they are talking to themselves. However, we don t see this in ¨Everybody loves
Raymond¨ but there is because they are acting to follow the story of the family but in that particular
way of the viewer listening to the live audience laughing after something funny

The Role Of A Chief Executive Officer

The Road to Becoming an Executive
At some point in life, people dream of being the boss in the work place. Whether it is owning a
business, being a supervisor, or being an executive, at some point being in charge seems like the place
to be. However, it takes a lot to be a leader and not everyone is cut out for the leadership role. A major
leadership role that most organizations have is a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). CEOs are considered
the head of a corporation and are responsible for providing direction for the company and making
certain that goals are met. CEOs can work at a wide variety of businesses, from small businesses to

Employment growth will vary by industry and is largely dependent on the rate of industry growth. Top
executives should face very strong competition for jobs. With strong competition being predicted
between executives, it would be advantageous to further the level of education above the required
minimum by completing a master s or doctorate program.
Many aspiring CEOs choose to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a similar
graduate degree. These programs can be pursued before finding work within an industry or after
having been employed for some time. Those who are currently working in a corporate or managerial
position can enroll in a part time professional or executive MBA program that integrates practical
employment knowledge into the curriculum. MBA students might take classes in strategic
management, finance, organizational theories and managerial economics. For individuals who may
have an interest in leading a global organization, pursuing study abroad options allows the study of
international business and the development of different cultural and societal skills. Most MBA
programs require students to select a concentration to focus on. Individuals can take advantage of this
opportunity by selecting an emphasis that relates to the industry they wish to advance in. Many
programs allow students to specialize in fields like marketing, finance, information technology,

The High Five Analysis
A simple gesture of excitement and congratulations, a you did it! or way to go! are all interpretations
of the high five. The deemed creator of the high five, Glenn Burke, and his story is told in one of
ESPN s 30 for 30 segments, The High Five. In this documentary, the launch of one of the most, if not
the most understood gestures of appraisal and encouragement in sporting events is unveiled. Nearing
the end of the 1977 Dodger s baseball season, Steve Garvey, Reggie Smith, Ron Cey, and Dusty Baker

Team performance is increased when it s members are supportive and they can rely on one another.
Burke s uplifting and energizing personality brought his team closer. He was a person who built
people up and supported them this was exemplified when he was asked if he created the high five he
said no, it was Dusty s accomplishment that brought it out of him. That is a player who doesn t want to
stand in the spotlight alone but be supportive of his team and lift them up to ensure they are standing
in the spotlight and sharing the glory. Burke to me seems like a player who could hit the game
winning run and still find a way to dim the light on him and exemplify his team. The high five became
a way for all players and fans to show excitement and lift someone else up and let them have their
moment. After accomplishing something that you have been striving to accomplish there is no greater
feeling than receiving a big high five of approval from the people who have been alongside seeing the

Resting Membrane Potential Essay
The first step of four is called the resting membrane potential, the resting membrane potential is also
known as polarized. At this stage no ions move through the voltage gated channels, both sodium and
potassium gates are shut. A neuron (which is a specialized cell transmitting nerve impulses) is resting.
At resting state, the membrane potential of a neuron is roughly 70mV (millivolts), so the cytoplasmic
side (which is the inside) is negatively charged parallel to the outside. All gated Na+ and K+ channels
are closed at this stage. A Na+ channel each has two gates, 1 being an activation gate which is closed
at rest but swings open when depolarization occurs, the second being and inactivation gate that ceases

This is where the Na+ channels are inactivating, this allows the K+ gates to swing open. Due to their
being a lot more Na+ ions on the outside and the inside the sodium dashes into the neuron first,
sodium is a positive charge, so during depolarization the neurons become a lot more positive. As time
passes the Na+ channels inactivates allowing the K+ channels to swing open the K+ channels take
more time to open, but once they fully have unfortunately, the internal negativity resting membrane is
restored to 70mV (Marieb ; Hoehn;, 2010).
The fourth and final step is called Hyperpolarization. This is a dramatic change in the cells membrane
potential which makes it more negative than the resting membrane potential. It is the complete
opposite of depolarization. Hyperpolarization is also considered as a undershoot, due to it dropping
below step 1 (resting membrane potential) during the hyperpolarization stage a small amount of K+
channels remain open while the Na+ channels reset, the Na+ channels reset to their original position
by changing their shape to further reopen their inactivation gates by closing the activation gates

The Consumption Of Cow Milk, It Has Become Highly Consumed...
Introduction Since the discovery of the nutritional benefits associated with the consumption of cow s
milk, it has become highly consumed within the western diet and worldwide (Kanekanian 2014).
However, health concerns arose in the late nineteenth and early twentieth Centuries due to an increase
in infant mortality and milk borne illnesses relating to the consumption of raw cow s milk (Knechtges
2012). This became an increasing public health concern and highlighted the growing need to introduce
and enforce laws and legalisations relating to the processing and sale of cow s milk. In 1864 Louis
Pasteur discovered pasteurisation was an effective processing method for destroying pathogenic
microorganisms responsible for foodborne illness present in beverages; prolonging its life and quality
(Brown 2015). Current laws and legislations now state milk must undergo this process before being
sold for retail sale and intended for human consumption. Yet, there is still a growing demand for the
sale of raw cow s milk due to beliefs in greater nutritional benefits if consumed. This creates a
growing public health concern to ensure safe laws and legislations are in place and practice. This
paper investigates the introduction of a new milk processing technique allowing for the sale of raw
milk which undergoes a high water pressure processing (HPP) technique and whether it is an effective
alternate processing method. Moreover, it identifies the human health risks associated with the

Lego As A Plastic Injection Machine For Toy Production Essay
We all know the classic Legos bricks, but Lego has not always been this well loved toy. Originally
Lego was a carpentry business in 1932. It created wooden toys such as a wooden duck. It s first
construction toy was the Kirk s Sandgame (Lego, 2012).
By 1946 Lego was creating wooden bricks with decorations such as letters and figures. Following
World War II plastics became available in Denmark (Wikipedia, 2016). This same year Lego Group
purchased its first plastic injection molding machine for toy production (Hansen, 1982). The machine
did not arrive until a year later (Lego, 2012). With the machine Lego started building items such as a
plastic fish, a plastic sailor, and the game Tiddlywinks (Lego, 2012). One of the first modular toys to
be produced was a truck that could be taken apart and re assembled (Wikipedia, 2016). With the new
machine Lego received several sample parts showing its capabilities. Among these samples were
Hilary Fisher Page s Kiddicraft Self Locking Building Brick (The Automatic Binding Brick, n.d.).
From those samples Lego created its first Automatic Binding Brick with four and eight studs (Lego,
2012). They had taken the Kiddicraft brick and modified it by straightening the round corners and
converting inches to cm and mm. The studs on the bricks were also flattened on top (The Automatic

Cities of Salt by Abdul Rahman Munif
Short Essay The Post Colonial Arabic Novel Cities of Salt Cities of Salt has often been read as at once
an elegy for a disfigured space and society, and a chronicle of its transformation. How does Munif

social ties on the one hand, and the encounter with the foreign other represented? What are the
limitations and potential problems of attempting to write such a work? Elaborate! Abdelrahman
Munif, a Jordanian born Saudi novelist, wrote a novel called Cities of Salt . It is a monumental novel
that tells the story of the discovery of oil. Encountering the vicious arrival of the global, political and
economic modernity to an unnamed Persian Gulf kingdom is the main point of Munif in this novel.
Munif described the migration of the villagers as their traditional lands are destroyed, and their way of
living is thrown into disarray by the foreigners Americans, through invasion of modern technology,
cultural gaps, and a whole new bunch of the local economy. He has exercised an unconventional
format in novel by declining a clear protagonist or even its mixture. Leading characters of the novel in

Born of a king whose most disappointing day was that of her birth, Elizabeth Tudor s life seemed

problems as an adult, Elizabeth proved to be one of the most remarkable monarchs in English history.
Firstly, I will discuss Elizabeth s family (including her many stepmothers), and then I will talk about

She was beheaded and buried near her cousin, Ann Boleyn. In 1543, the King married for the last
time. Catherine Parr was a very good wife and stepmother. She encouraged Elizabeth and Edward in
their lessons and in their interest in the protestant church. King Henry died in 1547. Edward became
the king at the young age of ten. Elizabeth and Edward remained very close throughout his reign, and,
because they were not allowed to live in the same residence, many fond letters were exchanged
between them. Soon, though, Edward became ill. He, knowing he probably would not live much
longer, made a quick revision to Henry VIII s will. Mary Tudor (a catholic) was supposed to become
queen at his death, but he replaced her with his cousin, Lady Jane Grey, a protestant. After Edward s
death, Jane Grey was queen for ten days before the public rallied and gave their support to Mary. Jane
Grey was executed and Mary was declared queen. The nation was restored to Catholicism. Mary, to
begin with, was polite to Elizabeth. Mary looked at her sister with warmth and tolerance, provided her
reconciliation to the Church could be brought about, Mary was ready, not entirely to trust her, but to
treat her with sisterly kindness (Jenkins, 1965, p. 41). Elizabeth outwardly converted to Catholicism

When the project is complete, it will release four times less carbon dioxide in the earth, compared to any other project. Therefore, 40 per cent of greenhouse emissions from the project will be cut. According to the Australian Minister for Resources and Energy, CO2 created in the production of LNG in Australia reduces four tons of CO2 in Japan, and nine tons in China, when it s used instead of using coal. • 3. The Importance of Roger Spottiswoode’s Screen Adaptation... The Importance of Roger Spottiswoode s Screen Adaptation of And The Band Played On [1] Hollywood is no longer just a name, it is a business, a living entity holding America s people in its grasp, and it is not about to let them go. Gradually taking on more responsibility and trying to build up its reputation over the years, Hollywood has progressively assumed the position of history teller for the American public. This role, whether or not an appropriate one for an industry such as Hollywood to tackle, has catapulted actors and actresses into high paying, high visibility positions. History has and will continue to be one of the main subjects that the movie industry has been fascinated with. It is an alive and very fragile ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The debate over cinematic history still remains, and it will continue to challenge Hollywood, constantly forcing the industry to make the best possible movies, producing historical epics on the big screen, making history a universal and personable subject. [3] In 1993, a small time director at HBO Productions thought it was about time that a movie was made discussing the broad, taboo topic of the AIDS epidemic. Roger Spottiswoode was the director, and he took author Randy Shilts controversial journal And The Band Played On: Politics, People and the AIDS Epidemic (1987) and turned it into a movie. Spottiswoode took the challenge facing Hollywood straight on and was bold enough to attempt a project that had been passed over and rejected for six years straight. From the beginning to end And The Band Played On was a fight. Spottiswoode fought for HBO to take the project on, and he fought with Hollywood to try to entice actors to participate in it. The fight continued after the release of the cable TV movie, with critics and the public simply not wanting to know or be informed of the truth. [4] With controversy surrounding the production of the movie, the fight seeped into the movie and its evidence in the story. The portrayal of the actors and the fight that each character undergoes is an illustration of the fight that AIDS forced our country to face in the early 1980 s. With Richard Gere s ... • 4. Dierks Bentley Research Papers Keeping it all cool and relaxed in a very demanding genre such as country music requires adamant skill and incomparable passion. Not all country musicians have the guts to stay afloat and be resilient, causing some of them to fall off the trail and never regained what they started anymore. Some have succumbed into the notion that being known once and for a short period of time will suit them well already, while for those who planned to stay as soon as their audience needs them, loving the craft and being addicted to fame are key points for you to succeed. We have known bag shot names such as Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Alison Krauss and Shania Twain to have dominated the country music realm, and yet, we know in our subconscious that there are other great artists just waiting for us to unravel. Take for example the admirable Dierks Bentley, a man who got the country music flowing through his blood as if he s created just to serve this genre. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. Similarities Between Arrow And The Flash Has there ever been a point in your life that you wished you could be a superhero or superhuman? Most, if not all, people s answer to that question would be a resounding yes, including mine. Over the years, more TV shows and movies have begun to incorporate what we would consider to be our heroes into them. These shows, or movies, consist of a hero, or heroes, that are typically aided by friends and a team that help them fight evil; two examples of this are Arrow and The Flash. Hero shows, or movies, can be a quite broad category, but it can be broken into smaller categories like superhuman heroes, mortal heroes, dark heroes, or otherworldly heroes. The Flash is a superhuman hero while Green Arrow is a mortal, but dark hero. The two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Oliver vows that every person on his father s list will wish he too had died on that island. Similar to the first episode of Arrow, The Flash has it s first episode named Pilot as well. It begins with a flashback to when Barry Allen s, the main character, mom is killed in an unexplainable event and his dad is convicted of her murder... which Barry believes to be untrue. Now, 14 years later, Barry works for Central City C.S.I and is quite good at his job. On one particular night a particle accelerator, created by Harrison Wells and was supposed to change the way everyone thought about physics, exploded releasing an unimaginable amount of dark energy. Lightning then struck Barry, which put him in a coma for nine months. After waking up, Barry began to notice certain things were slowing down... or so he thought. In reality, he was just moving unexplainably fast. When a man named Clyde Martin that can inexplicably control the weather starts terrorizing the city, Barry takes it upon himself to take him down. He speaks with Oliver Queen for advice, Barry knows Oliver is the Arrow, and Oliver tells him that he can inspire people the way he himself never could. Barry then takes on Clyde Martin head on and defeats him. • 6. I Want to Study Educational Psychology It is the extraordinarily young hours of May 24th, 1993. The sun is trying with all its might to shine its light through the hospital windows in an attempt to bring life back into the world. In this hospital, the smell of the sterile hair fills everyone s nose as the nurse s bustle about, tending to their patients. Then, the wail a newborn baby rings out through the silent maternity ward halls; I have been born. Fast forward almost 21 years into the future. My name is Deanna Mix and I was born in Nashville, Tennessee to Aneta and Gary Mix. Five years later, my parents had my younger and only sibling, Samantha. I spent the first 11 years of my childhood in Tennessee, a state I truly love and intend on moving back to the fall season to continue my education in International Relations. In Tennessee, we lived with my babcia and dziadek, which is Polish for grandma and grandpa. Since my mother and her side of the family moved to America from Poland, I grew up in a bilingual family, and I was able to learn a second language fairly early in life. That being said, according to many psychological studies, learning a second language early greatly helps a child s cognitive development (http://tip.duke.edu/node/866). Soon after my 11th birthday, I moved to Belleview, Florida were I still currently reside. Shortly after we moved, my parents went their separate ways, with both of them eventually remarrying. Chatterje Psychodynamic Theories Of Social Work Introduction Human behavior has been described and understood from a multitude of perspectives, which have been furthered developed into many theories over time. These theories provide the framework for social work. Social workers must have a firm understanding of human behavior in order to fully understand a client and the various challenges they may experience. The following paper discusses several of these theories and how they relate to the field of social work. Systems Theory People aren t one dimensional; they form in depth, complex relationships in a multitude of environments, and interact within these environments which we call systems. These systems are interrelated and form the unique experience of each individual, and therefore, can be helpful or hurtful in the change process. Systems theory is not only a singular construct but rather an underlying component for many theories that vary greatly in their application (Robbins, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In addition, their experiences in childhood drive their behavior as adults (Robbins, Chatterjee Canda, 2012). A second key concept is based on the unconscious and preconscious, and how it motivates an individual s behavior. According to Robbins et al. He accepted any punishment and said he expect[s] to pay the price as a man, showing his desire to remain manly and strong (1). Even after apologizing and admitting he is wrong, Tyson wants to prove to his fans and everyone else that he would have won the fight. • 11. The Pros And Cons Of Capitalization Capitalization We live in the era of Globalization, which refers to the international integration of goods, services, people, and money with the purpose of making an area more profitable or productive, or useful. This term sounds good for everybody. If we exchange all these components, the living of the global citizens raises, but this is not all true. In fact, this exchange originates more macrolevel issues globally, and with these problems, also microlevel issues. I m not saying it has not been an effective way all these past years to benefit the population with a more worldwide opportunity to success, but has it been addressed correctly? Let s take a look to some of the problems that overrun our world. Many nations go blind with the idea of producing more profitable people for their countries economic growth to the point that they strength up iceberg issues in society, problems that only their top are known but their bottom are unacknowledged. When we explore these issues deeper we find that there is an inequality in human rights. One of the main rights that is not given in a same quality to everybody is education. For instance, students from wealthy families get the chance to go to good schools and universities, while students living in poverty have minimum chances to go to good schools or they don t even get the opportunity to attend college, as it has been proven to us in the podcast Carlos doesn t remember , when Carlos is given the opportunity to attend a ... Another differences on both shows is that in ¨Modern Family¨ they have that particular style when you see the actors talking directly to the camera, like they are having a conversation to someone, or just maybe pretending they are talking to themselves. However, we don t see this in ¨Everybody loves Raymond¨ but there is because they are acting to follow the story of the family but in that particular way of the viewer listening to the live audience laughing after something funny ... Nearing the end of the 1977 Dodger s baseball season, Steve Garvey, Reggie Smith, Ron Cey, and Dusty Baker made major league baseball history in being the first quartet of players to hit thirty home runs in a season. • 35. Resting Membrane Potential Essay The first step of four is called the resting membrane potential, the resting membrane potential is also known as polarized. At this stage no ions move through the voltage gated channels, both sodium and potassium gates are shut. A neuron (which is a specialized cell transmitting nerve impulses) is resting. At resting state, the membrane potential of a neuron is roughly 70mV (millivolts), so the cytoplasmic side (which is the inside) is negatively charged parallel to the outside. All gated Na+ and K+ channels are closed at this stage. A Na+ channel each has two gates, 1 being an activation gate which is closed at rest but swings open when depolarization occurs, the second being and inactivation gate that ceases the channel once swung open. Although for Na+ to enter both gates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is where the Na+ channels are inactivating, this allows the K+ gates to swing open. Due to their being a lot more Na+ ions on the outside and the inside the sodium dashes into the neuron first, sodium is a positive charge, so during depolarization the neurons become a lot more positive. As time passes the Na+ channels inactivates allowing the K+ channels to swing open the K+ channels take more time to open, but once they fully have unfortunately, the internal negativity resting membrane is restored to 70mV (Marieb ; Hoehn;, 2010). The fourth and final step is called Hyperpolarization. This is a dramatic change in the cells membrane potential which makes it more negative than the resting membrane potential. It is the complete opposite of depolarization. Hyperpolarization is also considered as a undershoot, due to it dropping below step 1 (resting membrane potential) during the hyperpolarization stage a small amount of K+ channels remain open while the Na+ channels reset, the Na+ channels reset to their original position by changing their shape to further reopen their inactivation gates by closing the activation gates (Marieb ; Hoehn;, ... • 37. The Consumption Of Cow Milk, It Has Become Highly Consumed... Introduction Since the discovery of the nutritional benefits associated with the consumption of cow s milk, it has become highly consumed within the western diet and worldwide (Kanekanian 2014). However, health concerns arose in the late nineteenth and early twentieth Centuries due to an increase in infant mortality and milk borne illnesses relating to the consumption of raw cow s milk (Knechtges 2012). This became an increasing public health concern and highlighted the growing need to introduce and enforce laws and legalisations relating to the processing and sale of cow s milk. In 1864 Louis Pasteur discovered pasteurisation was an effective processing method for destroying pathogenic microorganisms responsible for foodborne illness present in beverages; prolonging its life and quality (Brown 2015). Current laws and legislations now state milk must undergo this process before being sold for retail sale and intended for human consumption. Yet, there is still a growing demand for the sale of raw cow s milk due to beliefs in greater nutritional benefits if consumed. This creates a growing public health concern to ensure safe laws and legislations are in place and practice. This paper investigates the introduction of a new milk processing technique allowing for the sale of raw milk which undergoes a high water pressure processing (HPP) technique and whether it is an effective alternate processing method. Moreover, it identifies the human health risks associated with the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Lego As A Plastic Injection Machine For Toy Production Essay We all know the classic Legos bricks, but Lego has not always been this well loved toy. Originally Lego was a carpentry business in 1932. It created wooden toys such as a wooden duck. It s first construction toy was the Kirk s Sandgame (Lego, 2012). By 1946 Lego was creating wooden bricks with decorations such as letters and figures. Following World War II plastics became available in Denmark (Wikipedia, 2016). This same year Lego Group purchased its first plastic injection molding machine for toy production (Hansen, 1982). The machine did not arrive until a year later (Lego, 2012). With the machine Lego started building items such as a plastic fish, a plastic sailor, and the game Tiddlywinks (Lego, 2012). One of the first modular toys to be produced was a truck that could be taken apart and re assembled (Wikipedia, 2016). With the new machine Lego received several sample parts showing its capabilities. Among these samples were Hilary Fisher Page s Kiddicraft Self Locking Building Brick (The Automatic Binding Brick, n.d.). From those samples Lego created its first Automatic Binding Brick with four and eight studs (Lego, 2012). They had taken the Kiddicraft brick and modified it by straightening the round corners and converting inches to cm and mm. The studs on the bricks were also flattened on top (The Automatic Binding Brick, n.d.). Cities of Salt by Abdul Rahman Munif Short Essay The Post Colonial Arabic Novel Cities of Salt Cities of Salt has often been read as at once an elegy for a disfigured space and society, and a chronicle of its transformation. How are tradition, traditional social ties on the one hand, and the encounter with the foreign other represented? What are the limitations and potential problems of attempting to write such a work? Elaborate! Abdelrahman Munif, a Jordanian born Saudi novelist, wrote a novel called Cities of Salt . It is a monumental novel that tells the story of the discovery of oil. Encountering the vicious arrival of the global, political and economic modernity to an unnamed Persian Gulf kingdom is the main point of Munif in this novel. Munif described the migration of the villagers as their traditional lands are destroyed, and their way of living is thrown into disarray by the foreigners Americans, through invasion of modern technology, cultural gaps, and a whole new bunch of the local economy. He has exercised an unconventional format in novel by declining a clear protagonist or even its mixture. Essay on Queen Elizabeth I Born of a king whose most disappointing day was that of her birth, Elizabeth Tudor s life seemed almost made for trials and controversy, both personally and politically. Although she had, at times, a horrible temper and a disagreeable personality, and suffered through many physical and psychological problems as an adult, Elizabeth proved to be one of the most remarkable monarchs in English history. Firstly, I will discuss Elizabeth s family (including her many stepmothers), and then I will talk about her relationship with her siblings under their power. She encouraged Elizabeth and Edward in their lessons and in their interest in the protestant church. King Henry died in 1547. Edward became the king at the young age of ten. Elizabeth and Edward remained very close throughout his reign, and, because they were not allowed to live in the same residence, many fond letters were exchanged between them. Soon, though, Edward became ill. He, knowing he probably would not live much longer, made a quick revision to Henry VIII s will. Mary Tudor (a catholic) was supposed to become queen at his death, but he replaced her with his cousin, Lady Jane Grey, a protestant. After Edward s death, Jane Grey was queen for ten days before the public rallied and gave their support to Mary. Jane Grey was executed and Mary was declared queen. The nation was restored to Catholicism. Mary, to begin with, was polite to Elizabeth. Mary looked at her sister with warmth and tolerance, provided her reconciliation to the Church could be brought about, Mary was ready, not entirely to trust her, but to treat her with sisterly kindness (Jenkins, 1965, p. 41). Elizabeth outwardly converted to Catholicism for Mary, though she remained a protestant on the inside. Mary s kindness to Elizabeth gradually disappeared.
