Thailand itself has a strong potential to be the top culinary tourism destination. According to the
inadequate of promoting, good management and marketing strategy by both public and government

of promoting for Thai gastronomy through any kinds of tools could be a crucial key to attract Thai

The Overview of Culinary Tourism A variety of terms have been used to express the relationship
between food and tourism: culinary tourism, cuisine tourism and gastronomic tourism. To indicate the
definition of those words, cuisine is defined as style of food preparation in effect, styles of cookery.
Cuisine does not mean for cooking only but applying to other activities in the scope of culinary
includes ingredients, prepared foods, beverages, food production, motivations, activities, institutional
structures, and tourism. Culinary as the adjective form of cuisine means kitchen in Latin (culina). This
term seems to be focused on the actual practice (e.g. culinary utensil ) denotes styles of food
preparation and consumption as well as the social context in which food is acquired and prepared for
sharing (Ignatov Smith, 2006, p.237 238). Gastronomy is involved in the enjoyment of good food and
beverages as a part of an affluent or aesthetically superior lifestyle and concerned the total
consumption of the meal (Gillespie, 2001).
Culinary Tourism recently becomes trend in tourism industry and explores new cultures through food.
It is defined as traveling for food, traveling through food, eating out of curiosity, or integrating food
into tourism. Moreover, culinary tourism can denote distinctive destination sites, such as restaurants,
vineyards, and original home of a particular food or type of tourism that

In the novel Romeo and Juliet multiple people are responsible for the tragedy that occurred. The
numerous choices many characters made ended in the demise of Romeo and Juliet and the tragedy of
their love. Throughout the story many misfortunes occur, but Tybalt, Mercutio and Romeo are the first
characters who negatively affect Romeo and Juliet s relationship. When Tybalt comes to confront
Romeo, Romeo handles things well and the conflict is almost completely resolved until Mercutio butts
in. He begins to taunt Tybalt and his anger gets the best of him. The fight Mercutio starts with Tybalt
results in his and Tybalt s death and Romeos banishment. The death of Romeos best friend causes him

The Death Of The Khmer Rouge Party Leader, Pol Pot Seized...
From the time humans began to exist in this world, hatred seemed to be a superior attribute that one
comes accustomed to. This inevitable emotion has the ability to provoke people to engage in acts
without thinking; but it is the acts that are premeditated that should be be classified as evil and brutal.
This appalling endeavor is known as genocide, the deliberate destruction of a particular national,
racial or religious group. Between the years of 1975 and 1979, the Khmer Rouge party leader, Pol Pot
seized power of Cambodia and forced civilians of urban regions into rural lands for labor in order to
build his own agrarian utopia. Over the course of these four years, the Cambodians and other minor
ethnic groups suffered through labor camps, starvation, and torture which all led up to their demise. As
a result of these mass killings, the country s population depleted by over 20 percent in just a few years.
The country went through hardship during and even before the genocide began including wars,
torment, and considerable numbers of deaths. Cambodia is a country located within Southeast Asia
and is bordered by the countries of Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. After being a French protectorate for
nearly a century, on 9 November 1953, Cambodia regained its full independence. The population was
over seven million and the country was ruled by a monarch with Prince Sihanouk as Head of State.

Examples Of Equality In To Kill A Mockingbird
Equality is not earned or achieved easily. However, it is like a law. Often people assume they are
better than someone else, but are taught otherwise. Society judges one another to the point where they
believe they are more prevalent than someone else. In the book To Kill a Mockingbird, fairness and
equality is confused, and not treated right. Since this book is set in a specific time period, racism and
gender have a huge role in the book. The video I Am Malala tries to focus on how women are just as
equal as men. A girl named Malala has a strong belief in this topic, and is helping change the way
people look at women. Can the Law Make Us Decent? informs readers about people not helping
others because of their race or ethnicity. Mississippi Trial shows how different racisms are beginning
to get along, but still have something holding equality back. The ... Show more content on

Throughout this book equality and judgement is an enormous issue. Hiram is the main character in
this book. He encounters a lot about segregation since his Dad is against it but his Grandpa has a

anything to him about Emmet and the river (Crowe 65). At the time, incidents involving different
colored people was judged to always be the colored persons fault. Judgement on these groups brought
hatred and violence to life. Hiram encounters a child, Bobo, being forced to carry his bags and finds it
strange. Hiram watches Bobo when he utters, Then he looked at me and said, Don t see nobody
carrying my b bags around for me, and followed Ruthanne (Crowe 49). Since the time period was set

Alcohol Use Disorder, most commonly known as Alcohol Abuse or Alcohol Dependence, is widely
known as problem that occurs with individuals who consumes an enormous amount of alcohol on a
regular basis often in a single use. The individual is consumed with the thought of drinking most of
the time and often feel as though they need it to continue with living their daily lives, even though,
they are not really living at all because the enormous amount of alcohol causes a dysfunction for their
daily tasks. It inhibits their ability to take care of their family, have social relationships and performing

Writing Can Be A Struggle Essay
Introduction Writing can be a struggle. Even for myself, I am struggling right now to compose this last
paper for my degree. Nevertheless, I have the necessary tools and the mindset to complete this paper
with perfection. My working environment is peaceful. Soft classical music playing, soy candle
burning, and a cup of water next to my computer. (I am not a coffee person). My outline is fully filled
out with the research I want to incorporate into my paper. I know what my end goal is and the
expectations that I must achieve. I am ready to write! Students need this same type of determination
when they are writing. This is especially true for EL students. Based on research there are three main
principles for effectively teaching EL students: (1) generally, effective practices are likely to be
effective with ELs. (2) ELs require additional instructional supports. (3) The home language can be
used to promote academic development (Goldenberg, 2013, p. 5). In this paper, I am going to
highlight a few writing best practices that are research based to use within a classroom setting that are
particular successful for EL students.
Environment
The first practice I am going to discuss is creating a classroom community of writers. Writing is often
ignored, and when it is brought up in the classroom the students view it as a daunting task. Therefore,
it is up to the teacher to change this environment into a positive experience. In the article, Writing in

A Career In Physical Therapy
Honors anatomy and physiology medical career reflection paper
By: Tiarra sorey For the medical career project I decided to do physical therapy, physical therapy is
the restoration of movement and physical function impaired or threatened by disease, injury, or
disability. Physical therapists determine a plan for rehabilitation for patients which may include
stretching, strength training, exercises and physical manipulation. There has been a significant
increase in the demand for physical therapists, the employment of physical therapists is projected to
grow 34% between 2014 and 2024. Physical therapy is a very excellent career and has become more
intriguing to me during this project and helped me confirm what I want to do in the future even more.

Completing this project influenced my aspiration to become a physical therapist because it showed me
how perfect this career would be for me, it showed me that being a physical therapist wouldn t even
feel like work because I would enjoy the daily tasks and challenges such as giving motivation to
patients and making them feel stronger and more confident in themselves. During the research of the
project I read articles on other physical therapists such as Timothy DiFrancesco, former PT for the Los
angeles lakers and also Emily Beyer, the team PT for the Minnesota Lynx, they kept saying how
challenging it can be on a daily basis, whether it was trying to get athletes to work up to their limit or
just simply trying to get the patients to trust them. Reading those articles made me tell myself that
being a physical therapist was clearly challenging which is what I like, I believe that because physical
therapy can be such a complex job it really influenced me to pursue a career in that

The Fall Of The Gupta Empire
Numerous empires and civilizations have risen and fallen in many nations since time began like the
Romans, Aztecs, and the Mongols. These empires were powerful with their control over many riches,
people and land masses; however they all experienced a decline in power. Throughout history scholars
regarded India as a great and accomplished nation. Notable civilizations emerged from Indian culture
specifically during the classical period. For example civilizations like the Mauryan Empire and the
Gupta Empire are well known zeniths of Indian culture. Between the early fourth and the mid sixth
century, India experienced the rise and fall of one of its zeniths of civilization . Although the Gupta
Empire is known as one of India s major zeniths, it experienced a decline due to leadership, invasions,
and rebellions. The fall of the Gupta Empire could have been prevented by improving leadership and

Great civilization and empires can collapse as a result of rebellions. New nations are born out of the
groups that secede from larger ones. As the new civilizations arise the old ones continue to decline and
lose the power they held before. The internal structure of an empire must remain strong or the empire
will not stand. Internal rebellions break empires down and strip them of their leadership. The Gupta
Empire was victim to numerous internal rebellions. Groups around places like Magadh fought for
independence. As one civilization broke away others followed suit. The central authority over the
empire weakened as these fight broke out. . With the Gupta Empire breaking apart and full of

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Conan
In the history of British literature, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ranks highly amongst the most famous
authors of all time. Mention his name, and most people will immediately think of one thing; Sir Arthur
Conan Doyle equates to Sherlock Holmes.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was certainly much more than his most famous creation, and away from his
most famous creation, his life was full of interesting and strange facts and events.
NAME
It is common to see Sir Arthur Conan Doyle s name shortened to just Conan Doyle, Conan though,
was not part of his surname, and was in fact just one of his two middle names. Conan Doyle s full
name was Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle. It was only when he started his professional career that

briefly to continue his studying.
The south coast of England would often prove to be home to Conan Doyle, and for a long period he
lived in Hindhead; and when he died of heart attack, aged 71, in 1930, Conan Doyle was buried in
Minstead.
SPORT
The practices run by Conan Doyle were not particularly successful, and so Conan Doyle would often
find that he had plenty of spare time to indulge in other interests, including writing and playing sport.
It is often said that Conan Doyle is one of the world s most famous goalkeepers; Conan Doyle though
played for the amateur side Portsmouth Association Football Club, and not the more famous
Portsmouth FC as is often said as fact. Portsmouth FC was founded in 1898, whilst Portsmouth AFC
operated from 1884 to 1896.
In 1893, Conan Doyle would briefly move to Switzerland, staying in Davos. Here he started taking

Americans Have the Right to Keep and Bear Arms
Our rights as Americans started to take shape when the Constitution of the United States was drawn up
by the delegates at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. Three years later, a very important
part of American history called the Bill of Rights was added. The Bill of Rights is looked upon and
interpreted every day. It gives the citizens of the United States many of the rights and freedoms that
we value today, and some of those are in jeopardy. One right that is at stake is our right to bear arms,
which is addressed in the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment is a highly debatable topic,

Several states have added right to carry laws, while others have made it illegal to possess a concealed
weapon (Smith 22). Most of the additional laws deal with the ownership and use of handguns and
assault type weapons. There has been much debate and government lobbying dealing with the passing
of gun laws. Many people think the government is focusing too much on the laws about guns, because
90 percent of all violent crime in the United States does not involve any type of firearm (Smith 17).
Other countries around the world have also set examples by having gun laws. Guns are banned in the
United Kingdom, and the crime rate has risen since that time (Smith 24). Also, within the United
States, the crime rate in the states is lower if the states have right to carry laws (Smith 22). The other
major problem with gun laws in the United States is that they are simply not being enforced (Smith
15). These facts and others involving the positive uses of guns are argued in court rooms and
government offices around the country every day. As government officials study the facts and make
laws, they continue to maintain the people s right to bear arms.
When thinking about the people s right to bear arms, it is appropriate to know that not all stories about
guns are bad. Guns are not always used for violence, and the government seems to be keeping this fact
in mind. Positive stories about people having their lives saved by guns seem to

For this reason, many countries are moving towards consolidating their banking system and Nigeria
cannot be an exception. (pg 10) The CBN however noted that there would be some challenges to this
programme and they are enumerated below: o Ensuring that provision of adequate safety nets and
compensation packages are made by the merging banks to meliorate for potential job losses arising
from mergers; o Appropriate mechanisms for protecting possible disenfranchisement of small
depositors who may not be elcomed by the emerging mega banks; o The regulatory authorities,

competitive market and monopolistic tendencies of mega banks from consolidation. Also, the NDIC
and CBN would need to constantly monitor the activities and performance of the emerging mega
banks to prevent bank distress and failures. (pg 14)

Kosovo as an independent country is facing serious economic problems. Although the media
propagandizes its growth during the last two year, it is still the poorest country in the region and
decades will be needed to make obvious progress. For this reason Serbia s interest in a country like
Kosovo with very low level of development, high level of unemployment and serious debts, have
always surprised me. After Kosovo s independence, Serbia refuses to let go of the north of Kosovo
and continues to interfere by hoping that it can retain control of Mitrovica, where Trepca Mines are
located. Trepca has been a key source of development during Yugoslavia, as the statistics have shown
that it employed around 20,000 in the 1980s and produced 70% of the Yugoslav mineral reserve; while
Stan Terg, located in the southern Mitrovica, is controlled by Albanians and it is the only region where
the processing plants are still active and those controlled by Serbians are inactive. That is why I
believe that after the independence of Kosovo, Serbia s interest have shifted from symbolic, historic
claims to potential economic gains.
The Marty report is not a judicial document, but still it has been a headline around the world and a
major advantage for Serbia to blame Albanian criminals for what happened in Kosovo. However, no

Federal Funding For Public Broadcasting
The purpose of this paper is to explore the pros and cons of the proposal to eliminate federal funding
to The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). In doing so, first we will explore several facets of
this issue including first the cost of funding from both a governmental and taxpayer perspective.
Secondly, understanding the services provided and the audience served is integral in this discussion.
Lastly, we will consider government s role in media and education. The conversation, however, must
start with the history, values, and goals of this organization.
It was The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 (Public Broadcasting Act of 1967), signed into law by

America s Superpower
When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, the United States became the world s sole superpower
(Weiner). It is vital for The United states to act its part as the world superpower and continue to help
govern and protect developing and recovering countries. As the world s only superpower we are given
the opportunity to either stand by and watch as millions of people die from acts of terror and
corruption, or use our immense political, economical, and military power to help save, and better the
world and the lives of potentially billions of people. It is important America acts as a whole now more

Inaction is more dangerous and can cause a potentially riskier and costlier than smart, limited
intervention. Syria may seem far away, but every passing day, every calamitous, explosive, hate
infused day, makes it more America s and the world s problem (Ghitis). Everyday more and more
people are being displaced out of their homes and land because of war and terrorist acts posed by ISIS
and the corrupt governments like Syria. These injustices imposed by these groups spread and will

Millions of Syrians have fled their homes, straining resources and occasionally raining fire into
Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq and even Israel. These millions of displaced refugees hurt surrounding

Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq, because they are now having to increase security spending and take

Racism In The Color Purple
In the book, Class, the writer Paul Fussell states that if navy is the upper middle class color, purple is
the prole equivalent, and purple polyester pantsuit is the absolutely bottom . In fact, he urges the
reader to avoid purple under all circumstances . However, I m not trying to call Fussell out as a racist.
I want to point out how he details the discrimination the color purple faces, which echoes to the
discrimination black people face in the 20th century. As the color purple is the closest representation
of Black American s complexion. On the black to white gradient, purple is the color closest to black. If
we think of what the transition emerged from the color black conveys, we need to put the color under
a social and cultural context. If we see Black Africans as black, White people as white, then purple
matches Black Americans in this analogy. Steven Spielberg s movie adaption of The Color Purple uses
color to indicate Black Americans historical attempt to make a transition to White people. In the
movie, the colors are encoded with deeper meanings. The color white represents the oppression, while
black represents the oppressed. The blacker it is, the more oppressed it signifies. There is a detail that
can be easily overlooked the old Mr. Johnson has rather pale complexion as a black person. From the
presentation of him being almost white, we can infer that the erosive influence White people have on
Black people s mind and body. Mr.___ in the movie lives

Gross Domestic Production (GDP)
Gross domestic product (GDP) is the total output of absolute commodities and services that a nation
puts out including exports but not including imports. Gross domestic product is used to measure the
health of a national and global economy. When gross domestic product is increasing, particularly if
inflation is not an issue, employees and industries are usually better off than when it is not. GDP
signifies the economic growth and production, symbolizing the whole dollar value of all goods and
services produced over a precise time period. It sums up the output created within the margins of a
country. GDP is made up of goods and services produced for sale in the market. The GDP is the sum
of domestic consumption; new capital investments; government spending, and the difference between
the values of goods imported into the United States and the value of exports to other countries.
Gross domestic product can be measured in two ways using income approach or expenditure method.
When using the income approach, GDP (I), you add up what everyone made in one year, which would
include rent, wages, interest and profits earned, by the selling of the merchandises in the nations
market. The income approach is determined by accumulating the total payment to workers, gross
profits for incorporated and non incorporated companies, and taxes without aids. This method is the
most complicated because measuring income is much more complex than measuring spending.
Whereas, when using the

The Learning Theory and Television Essay
The role of media is to provide a myriad number of programs to the individual. The programs can
either be beneficial, or damaging. Since we humans have the ability to learn while watching, the
impact of media is tremendous. For example, there has been found to be a high correlation between
violence and the number of television one watches. That is not to say that watching television causes
violence but that there is a significant amount of correlation to warrant further research.
The effects can be explained using the learning theory. The learning theory states that deviance is
learned through social interaction. The learning theory is all about the ability of anyone to learn
deviant behavior. That s where the media would come in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yet these families and many others are touted as average. This sets up out of reach goals, and this is
where the anomie strain theory comes in. The anomie strain theory states that lower class people are
more likely to get involved in deviant activities because the society has encouraged them to pursue a
high success goal without providing them with the means of achieving it. So when you see that
average family on television, and the difference between you. One starts to ask themselves what am I
doing wrong that I don t have those things. After some time, the strain becomes too much, and to
achieve those goals you commit deviant acts such as selling drugs, or stealing. To put it simply, those
are the only tools they have to achieve societal goals, and it just happens that those tools are
considered deviant. If given the right tools, this would decrease deviant behaviour.
The terms incidence and prevalence are very important for us to understand the media, and our class
in general. In class, to understand deviance we look at many statistics, and the two terms are tools to
understand the data. To start off incidence in this context would mean the frequency in which new
crimes, or deviant acts take place. It can also be understood to be the probability of new cases in
deviance. The other important term is prevalence, and that is interpreted as the commonness of
something. When the prevalence of something increases

Failure In The Odysseus
The Role Failure has in Success
It is okay to be a glowstick, sometimes we need to break before we shine ( 12 quotes That will
Immediately Boost your confidence). Sometimes, to grow, people have to shrink first. So then they
have a new start, to grow bigger then they ever were. In order to have success, sometimes failure
comes first, this happens in today s life, and the Odyssey.
Odysseus was a brave and strong man that got through unimaginable dangers, but that doesn t mean
he didn t have any failure that led to his success. Odysseus was a leader to all of his men, but his
orders are not always followed. In the story, The Odyssey written by Homer, Odysseus was sent

Odysseus was weary about it, but he was outnumbered, so, he agreed to stop at the island with only
one rule they had to obey. They were not allowed to kill or touch the cattle on the island. The stay at
the island was longer than Odysseus had planned, there were strong winds sent by Zeus that didn t let
them go bad out to sea, and forced them to stay in the island for a long time. One night Odysseus fell
asleep. His men were starving, overcome by their hunger, they killed the cattle to eat. Once Odysseus
found out, he cried out to the gods, O Father Zeus and gods in bliss forever, you made me sleep away
this day of mischief! O cruel drowsing in the evil hour! Here they sat and a great work they contrived
(Homer 842). Odysseus failed at keeping his men from eating the cattle. The failure broke him down,
but he still kept on going with his job, that later soon will led to his success. Odysseus succeeded
many times along his journey, but there is always room to grow stronger. Odysseus failed once again
at Helios s Island. Once the winds, that were sent by Zeus, came to a stop, the men were able to carry

Importance Of Choosing A Business Entity
Monique Desir Choosing a Business Entity The Importance of Choosing a Business Entity As an
accountant and Tax Preparer in New York, Monique Desir works with many tax payers who require a
business entity. There are many factors that go into the choosing of a business entity, and the
implications for the business can be large. If you are working towards a new business, find a tax
professional who knows the ins and out of business entities in your area. What is a Business Entity? A
business entity is not only the identity of the company you are creating, but also determines the type of
legal structure your new business will have. This decision is complicated, and possibly the most
important item you will decide when you start a new business venture. There is no single type of
entity that is better than the rest. Your choice will have to be made based upon your requirements and
future desires. There are five commonly used business entities; partnerships, sole proprietorship, C
corporations, S corporations, and Limited Liability Companies. To pick the business entity that will
suit your needs, you should consult a local Tax Preparer or accountant. What Your Entity Will Effect
Choosing a business entity has long reaching considerations. One of the most important aspects of this
choice is the resulting taxes that your business (and you) will have to pay. Each type of business entity
is subject to a different form of taxation. Some entity forms have better opportunities to

The Azusa Street Revival By William J. Seymour
What if Fire at Azusa never happened

HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY II:
THE REFORMATION AND MODERN CHURCH
HIST 0562
INSTRUCTOR: REV. DR. RON KYDD 13th April 2015
Mail Box # 344
The Azusa Street Revival was a historical Pentecostal revival meeting that occurred in Los Angeles,
California and is the beginning of the Pentecostal movement. It was run by William J. Seymour, an
African American minister. It started with a meeting on April 9, 1906, and proceeded until about 1915.
The revival was portrayed by euphoric spiritual encounters joined by miracles, speaking in tongues,
inter racial socialising during worship services. The members were criticized by media and
theologians for their behaviour as it was considered as outrageous and unorthodox, particularly at the
time. Today, the restoration is considered by historians to be the essential push for the spread of
Pentecostalism in the 20th century. This paper will aim to analyze how history may have unfolded if it
had not happened, it will be examining the event and setting it in context that how it has impacted the
history of Christianity for the reformation and modern Church. It will analyze how this event impacted
the historic Pentecostal movement. Being born and bought up in Christian Orthodox Church, for a
long time I could not understand the real meaning of Pentecostalism, but things changed dramatically
in my life, and so did my theology about Church. Throughout the year I have learnt a

An Open Mind As The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is another Comforter, Teacher, and Reminder. Before Christ went back to Heaven He
said that He would not leave us without another Comforter, of which is the Holy Ghost. God the Holy
Spirit, God the Father, and God the Son are a Trinity, in Heaven and on this earth. The Comforter
indwells us and we are in God and in Jesus. We are in the Trinity. Talk about eternal security, how
much more can one be secure than this?
Being the Holy Spirit is our Teacher, and the Word of God says He is, then that which is preached
should not be readily accepted. One should not build a doctrine on one or two verses of Scripture but
should study all verses on the subject with an open mind as the Holy Ghost teaches (II Timothy 2:15),.

Judgment will be revealed by the Holy Spirit because the prince (ruler) of the world is judged, which
is by the power of Christ who judged the old Devil and his kingdom, defeating Satan at the cross. The
Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and is most reliable. He is God in the office of the Holy Spirit.
He listens, hears, and will communicate and speak to the believer, showing future things, glorifying
Christ, and will show you the things of the Father. See John 16:7 15.
Much conjecture is found concerning John 20:22. The way I view this verse tells that Jesus breathed
on, not in, the disciples, and said Receive ye the Holy Ghost: receiving the Holy Ghost that gave
commandments unto them (Acts 1:2). They received the Holy Ghost outwardly as those in the Old
Testament did and for particular services till Pentecost, and there dwelt within. In Acts 1:5 they were
waiting for a different baptism than that of John s which they had already received. They were to be
baptized by the Holy Ghost who would dwell both with them and be in them (John 14:17), and receive
the power to equip them to preach the gospel to all nations throughout the world (Acts 1:8). When
Pentecost had fully come they received that recorded in Acts chapter two.

Anabolic Steroids Essay
Anabolic Steroids
In today s society, athletes are revered as heroes. There is immense pressure to be the best. Athletes
are willing to do whatever it takes to gain an edge, even if it means compromising their health. For
almost three decades, athletes have been supplementing their strength program with anabolic steroids
to enhance their performance. To be sure, anabolic steroids are effective supplements to strength
training programs, but there is no doubt that the consequences can be deleterious.

Users often utilize a dangerous practice known as stacking, the combination several different types of
steroids to maximize their effectiveness (http://www.nashville.net/~acarney/8html).
Protein Synthesis
Anabolic steroids cause enzymes, such as RNA polymerase, to promote two important biochemical
reactions, creatine phosphate synthesis and protein synthesis. Creatine phosphate is a molecule that
can be metabolized in the absence of sufficient oxygen as a short term energy source. Increased
creatine phosphate synthesis enables athletes to train harder and for longer periods of time. Protein
synthesis is increased as the newly formed receptor steroid complex migrates to the nucleus and
initiates transcription. The production of RNA is elevated, causing an increased rate of protein
synthesis (http://www.bigsport.com/steroids/steroids/roidb11a.txt).
Nitrogen Retention
Anabolic steroids increase the body s ability to retain nitrogen. By allowing for better utilization of the
nitrogen in ingested protein, anabolic steroids help athletes to build body mass
(http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/~hsr/hsr/winter97/steroid.html). In order for an athlete to accumulate
extra muscle mass, his or her body must temporarily be in a state of positive nitrogen balance; more
nitrogen must come into the body than is lost. During strenuous exercise, the release of
glucocorticosteroids creates a negative nitrogen balance in the body. Anabolic steroids can reverse this

Business Value Chain Analysis Of Diageo
Diageo s code for business value creation does involve their tangible assets, however other
organizations can easily buy them, so these are rarely the source of competitive advantage. The
greatest tangible source that is not easily obtainable by other companies is their own resource to
produce raw and unique materials to their own products. Diageo has competitors purchase materials
from their owned and operated distilleries and land to make their own product. Intangible assets are
difficult to measure and can t be touched or seen. These assets drive innovation and contribute to
Diageo s success and competitive edge in the market place. Above, examining Diageo s unique mix of
resources explores how Diageo develops certain resources necessary to support corporate strategy. As
we have reviewed, Diageo has a purpose, vision, mission and objective, and has strategically
implemented internal assets and has the capability and resources to deliver their strategy. Diageo is
interested in growing their people and business as well as improving financial returns and shareholder
value to avoid situations of competitive parity. These views emphasize asset valuation using
accounting and economic measures over effectiveness measures and lack a holistic approach to
understanding value as an internally driven strategic effort (Barney 2001; Hawawini et al 2000). The

The Effects Of Teen Pregnancy On The United States
Teen Pregnancy and the Link to Poverty in the U.S. with A Focus on Western Ma Especially Holyoke

In the 1950s, the frequency of teenage births in the United States was already high, and since that,
time has decreased, although the number of births outside marriage has increased. Thus, in 1990 the
rate was 61.8 births, pregnancy rate 116.9 per 1,000. The incidence of teenage pregnancy has
decreased significantly in the 1990s. This decline is observed in all racial groups, but Teenagers,
African Americans and Hispanic teens remain higher frequency compared with Americans of
European and Asian origin. Guttmacher Institute, about 25% of this decline carried her share of sexual
abstinence and 75% on the effective use of contraceptives. However, in 2006 the first time in 14 years,
the incidence of teenage births has increased. This would imply that the incidence rates of teenage
pregnancy are also on the rise, but marked by the rise could be linked to other sources: for example,
reducing the number of abortions or a decrease in the number of abortions.
In 2002, the United States noted 53 teen births per 1,000 women aged 15 19 years, the highest among
developed countries. If all pregnancies, including those that ended in abortion or miscarriage, taken
into account that in 2000 the total value of the frequency of pregnancies accounted would be 75.4 per

The Classical Style Of The Ancient Greece And The United...
Neo Classicism in France and the United States
The classical style of the ancient Athens, derived from Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome in the 15th
century, has had a universal impact on many cultures during previous time periods. The classical
period reflected traditional forms focused on symmetry and elegance; it flourished during the time of
the Renaissance through artist such as Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo De Vinci. The artists
main goal was to attain the absolute beauty in their art by showing emotion through detail, almost
through perfection. Some examples of well known classical arts during the Renaissance were
Belvedere Torso and the Medici Venus . In the 17th century the classical style was revived, now called
the neo classical style. It was born in Rome but its popularity flourished all over Europe. The neo
classical movement clashed with the age of Enlightment and continued through the 19th century. The
neo classical principles were based around the same characteristics as the classical arts such as:
balance, proportion, order, simplicity, clarity, and reason. It was strongest in architect, sculpture, and
decorative arts. The neo classical style continued to spread throughout the world and became sought
after in the 17th and 18th century in countries such as France and The United States, and it influenced
some of the greatest government buildings in America.
Neoclassicism can be seen as a political movement as well as an artistic and cultural one.

Sports Related Knee Injuries Essay
Sports Related Knee Injuries
Sports have been around for a very long time. The Maya used to play a game with a rubber ball
similar to basketball. The nobility in the medieval era played a primitive form of tennis. Most
civilizations have had a sport of some kind. Sports are a way for us to get exercise and expend energy.
However, in modern society, sports have become much more competitive and more popular. There are
now numerous professional sports leagues and every year, millions of people go to see professional
sporting events. Nowadays in football, as a man on the defensive line, your goal is to try and smash
the quarterback, whereas 30 years ago, the goal was to just to win the game. This change in mindset,

These boots move the forces caused by a fall to the knee rather than the ankle or lower leg. The ACL
injury usually occurs when the knee is forcefully twisted, or hyper extended. Many patients recall
hearing a loud pop when the ligament tears, and feel the knee give way. This injury has received a
great deal of attention from orthopedic surgeons over the past 15 years and very successful operations
to reconstruct the torn anterior cruciate ligament have been performed. The tearing oh the posterior
cruciate ligament is another sports related knee injury, though less common than the ACL. This injury
can occur when the knee is forcefully twisted or hyper extended, but other ligaments are usually
injured or torn, before the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is torn in these injuries. The most
common way for the PCL alone to be injured is from a direct blow to the front of the knee while the
knee is bent. If the tibia moves too far back the PCL can rupture. This is a common cause of injury to
the PCL during an automobile accident. As the automobile strikes another and stops suddenly, the
front passenger or driver slides forward. The bent knee hits the dashboard just below the kneecap. This
forces the tibia backward on the femur tearing the PCL. The same force can occur during a fall on the
bent knee, where the force of the fall on the tibia pushes it back

Jazz Music In West Side Story And Romeo And Juliet
In my essay I am going to bring up three different topics. How jazz music makes West Side Story be
evocative of the decade in which it was written, how gang related music would change West Side
Story and Romeo and Juliet, and further how different Romeo and Juliet would be if they would of
sang rather than spoke their soliloquy. Each of these topics has gang related actions and how music
defines the gangs.
In West Side Story both Acts 1 and 2 are mostly instrumental, allowing suspense to form in each
scene. In the 1950 s, gangs are growing more and more. With West Side Story being in New York,
there were the Jets and the Sharks. Jazz music help bring out the actions in each of the two gangs and
helps bring out each of the characters and shows who they really are. In Tonight, the characters are
reflecting on their hopes and dreams. Bernstein crafted the music to mirror the visions of each
character. Jazz music helps build suspense in many scenes in West Side Story, for instance, in The
Gangs Fight in the Street, the music starts to become allegro and the snaps of their fingers build the
suspense even more. The jazz helps show the differences in each gang and how their actions are like
that of the sounds of jazz orchestra. West Side Story also has classical and pop music played
throughout it, and at certain instances all three can be heard together. At the very end of the musical,
the music become piano; and the hurt and anger from Maria is radiated from the music choice.

Many people think the government is focusing too much on the laws about guns, because 90 percent of all violent crime in the United States does not involve any type of firearm (Smith 17). Other countries around the world have also set examples by having gun laws. Guns are banned in the United Kingdom, and the crime rate has risen since that time (Smith 24). • 21. Racism In The Color Purple In the book, Class, the writer Paul Fussell states that if navy is the upper middle class color, purple is the prole equivalent, and purple polyester pantsuit is the absolutely bottom . In fact, he urges the reader to avoid purple under all circumstances . However, I m not trying to call Fussell out as a racist. I want to point out how he details the discrimination the color purple faces, which echoes to the discrimination black people face in the 20th century. As the color purple is the closest representation of Black American s complexion. On the black to white gradient, purple is the color closest to black. If we think of what the transition emerged from the color black conveys, we need to put the color under a social and cultural context. If we see Black Africans as black, White people as white, then purple matches Black Americans in this analogy. Steven Spielberg s movie adaption of The Color Purple uses color to indicate Black Americans historical attempt to make a transition to White people. In the movie, the colors are encoded with deeper meanings. The color white represents the oppression, while black represents the oppressed. The blacker it is, the more oppressed it signifies. There is a detail that can be easily overlooked the old Mr. Johnson has rather pale complexion as a black person. • 22. Gross Domestic Production (GDP) Gross domestic product (GDP) is the total output of absolute commodities and services that a nation puts out including exports but not including imports. Gross domestic product is used to measure the health of a national and global economy. When gross domestic product is increasing, particularly if inflation is not an issue, employees and industries are usually better off than when it is not. GDP signifies the economic growth and production, symbolizing the whole dollar value of all goods and services produced over a precise time period. It sums up the output created within the margins of a country. GDP is made up of goods and services produced for sale in the market. The GDP is the sum of domestic consumption; new capital investments; government spending, and the difference between the values of goods imported into the United States and the value of exports to other countries. Gross domestic product can be measured in two ways using income approach or expenditure method. When using the income approach, GDP (I), you add up what everyone made in one year, which would include rent, wages, interest and profits earned, by the selling of the merchandises in the nations market. The income approach is determined by accumulating the total payment to workers, gross profits for incorporated and non incorporated companies, and taxes without aids. This method is the most complicated because measuring income is much more complex than measuring spending. Whereas, when using the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Since we humans have the ability to learn while watching, the impact of media is tremendous. For example, there has been found to be a high correlation between violence and the number of television one watches. That is not to say that watching television causes violence but that there is a significant amount of correlation to warrant further research. The effects can be explained using the learning theory. The learning theory states that deviance is learned through social interaction. The learning theory is all about the ability of anyone to learn deviant behavior. This sets up out of reach goals, and this is where the anomie strain theory comes in. The anomie strain theory states that lower class people are more likely to get involved in deviant activities because the society has encouraged them to pursue a high success goal without providing them with the means of achieving it. So when you see that average family on television, and the difference between you. One starts to ask themselves what am I doing wrong that I don t have those things. After some time, the strain becomes too much, and to achieve those goals you commit deviant acts such as selling drugs, or stealing. To put it simply, those are the only tools they have to achieve societal goals, and it just happens that those tools are considered deviant. If given the right tools, this would decrease deviant behaviour. The terms incidence and prevalence are very important for us to understand the media, and our class in general. In class, to understand deviance we look at many statistics, and the two terms are tools to understand the data. To start off incidence in this context would mean the frequency in which new crimes, or deviant acts take place. It can also be understood to be the probability of new cases in deviance. The other important term is prevalence, and that is interpreted as the commonness of something. When the prevalence of something increases ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are many factors that go into the choosing of a business entity, and the implications for the business can be large. If you are working towards a new business, find a tax professional who knows the ins and out of business entities in your area. What is a Business Entity? A business entity is not only the identity of the company you are creating, but also determines the type of legal structure your new business will have. This decision is complicated, and possibly the most important item you will decide when you start a new business venture. There is no single type of entity that is better than the rest. Your choice will have to be made based upon your requirements and future desires. There are five commonly used business entities; partnerships, sole proprietorship, C corporations, S corporations, and Limited Liability Companies. To pick the business entity that will suit your needs, you should consult a local Tax Preparer or accountant. What Your Entity Will Effect Choosing a business entity has long reaching considerations. It was run by William J. Seymour, an African American minister. It started with a meeting on April 9, 1906, and proceeded until about 1915. The revival was portrayed by euphoric spiritual encounters joined by miracles, speaking in tongues, inter racial socialising during worship services. The members were criticized by media and theologians for their behaviour as it was considered as outrageous and unorthodox, particularly at the time. Protein Synthesis Anabolic steroids cause enzymes, such as RNA polymerase, to promote two important biochemical reactions, creatine phosphate synthesis and protein synthesis. Creatine phosphate is a molecule that can be metabolized in the absence of sufficient oxygen as a short term energy source. Increased creatine phosphate synthesis enables athletes to train harder and for longer periods of time. Protein synthesis is increased as the newly formed receptor steroid complex migrates to the nucleus and initiates transcription. The production of RNA is elevated, causing an increased rate of protein synthesis (http://www.bigsport.com/steroids/steroids/roidb11a.txt). Nitrogen Retention Anabolic steroids increase the body s ability to retain nitrogen. By allowing for better utilization of the nitrogen in ingested protein, anabolic steroids help athletes to build body mass (http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/~hsr/hsr/winter97/steroid.html). In order for an athlete to accumulate extra muscle mass, his or her body must temporarily be in a state of positive nitrogen balance; more nitrogen must come into the body than is lost. • 33. Business Value Chain Analysis Of Diageo Diageo s code for business value creation does involve their tangible assets, however other organizations can easily buy them, so these are rarely the source of competitive advantage. The greatest tangible source that is not easily obtainable by other companies is their own resource to produce raw and unique materials to their own products. Diageo has competitors purchase materials from their owned and operated distilleries and land to make their own product. Intangible assets are difficult to measure and can t be touched or seen. These assets drive innovation and contribute to Diageo s success and competitive edge in the market place. Above, examining Diageo s unique mix of resources explores how Diageo develops certain resources necessary to support corporate strategy. As we have reviewed, Diageo has a purpose, vision, mission and objective, and has strategically implemented internal assets and has the capability and resources to deliver their strategy. Diageo is interested in growing their people and business as well as improving financial returns and shareholder value to avoid situations of competitive parity. These views emphasize asset valuation using accounting and economic measures over effectiveness measures and lack a holistic approach to understanding value as an internally driven strategic effort (Barney 2001; Hawawini et al 2000). Neo Classicism in France and the United States The classical style of the ancient Athens, derived from Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome in the 15th century, has had a universal impact on many cultures during previous time periods. The classical period reflected traditional forms focused on symmetry and elegance; it flourished during the time of the Renaissance through artist such as Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo De Vinci. The artists main goal was to attain the absolute beauty in their art by showing emotion through detail, almost through perfection. Some examples of well known classical arts during the Renaissance were Belvedere Torso and the Medici Venus . In the 17th century the classical style was revived, now called the neo classical style. It was born in Rome but its popularity flourished all over Europe. The neo classical movement clashed with the age of Enlightment and continued through the 19th century. The neo classical principles were based around the same characteristics as the classical arts such as: balance, proportion, order, simplicity, clarity, and reason. It was strongest in architect, sculpture, and decorative arts. The neo classical style continued to spread throughout the world and became sought after in the 17th and 18th century in countries such as France and The United States, and it influenced some of the greatest government buildings in America. This injury has received a great deal of attention from orthopedic surgeons over the past 15 years and very successful operations to reconstruct the torn anterior cruciate ligament have been performed. The tearing oh the posterior cruciate ligament is another sports related knee injury, though less common than the ACL. This injury can occur when the knee is forcefully twisted or hyper extended, but other ligaments are usually injured or torn, before the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is torn in these injuries. The most common way for the PCL alone to be injured is from a direct blow to the front of the knee while the knee is bent. If the tibia moves too far back the PCL can rupture. This is a common cause of injury to the PCL during an automobile accident. As the automobile strikes another and stops suddenly, the front passenger or driver slides forward. • 43. Jazz Music In West Side Story And Romeo And Juliet In my essay I am going to bring up three different topics. How jazz music makes West Side Story be evocative of the decade in which it was written, how gang related music would change West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet, and further how different Romeo and Juliet would be if they would of sang rather than spoke their soliloquy. Each of these topics has gang related actions and how music defines the gangs. In West Side Story both Acts 1 and 2 are mostly instrumental, allowing suspense to form in each scene. In the 1950 s, gangs are growing more and more. With West Side Story being in New York, there were the Jets and the Sharks. Jazz music help bring out the actions in each of the two gangs and helps bring out each of the characters and shows who they really are. In Tonight, the characters are reflecting on their hopes and dreams. Bernstein crafted the music to mirror the visions of each character. Jazz music helps build suspense in many scenes in West Side Story, for instance, in The Gangs Fight in the Street, the music starts to become allegro and the snaps of their fingers build the suspense even more. The jazz helps show the differences in each gang and how their actions are like that of the sounds of jazz orchestra.
