Ipsec And Ssl Protocols ( Vpn )
Abstract: As the development of computers, smart phones and tablets, more and more equipment are
connected to the Internet. Virtual Private Network, which establishes private network over public
network has made work and life much easier for people. IPSec and SSL/TLS protocols, which provide
security services, are widely used for VPN. In this paper, I ll learn the details of IPSec and TLS/SSL
protocols and provide an analysis and comparison of them.
I. Introduction
Virtual Private Network (VPN) comes to my sight by chance due to China s great firewall blocked my
access to Gmail when I stayed in China last summer. To visit the blocked websites, one of solutions is
using VPN technology.
VPN is referred to set up a private network across a public network and usually can be classified by
three types: [1] Remote Access Type, which can establish a connection between a client outside and a
company s internal resources, Extranet Type, which connects different resources in different networks,
and Intranet Type, which creates a connection between different resources within one network. The
working theory of VPN can be briefly explained by a simple example including several steps:
Node A in Network I want to communicate to Node B in Network II via public network.
1. Since A wants to communicate with B, A will generate and send a packet whose destination IP is B
s IP address in Network II.
2. The gateway of Network I gets A s packet and checks its destination IP, if belongs to

David Ortiz Thesis
David Ortiz David Ortiz is not only considered one of the best hispanic baseball players of all time,
but is also considered to be one of the best baseball players in Major League Baseball History. For
many he is considered to be the best Boston Red Sox player ever. David Ortiz has had a longer career
than most players, playing a total of twenty Major League Baseball seasons. Ortiz finished his career
with 541 home runs, which ranks 17th on the MLB all time home run list, 1,768 RBIs which is 22nd
all time, and a .286 batting average. Among the primary position that he played, designated hitter, he
is the all time leader in MLB history for home runs, runs batted in, and hits (MLB, 2018). To top it off,

Ortiz is the eldest of four children and has always been known as an easy going person, with a great
sense of humor that makes friends everywhere he goes. Ortiz started playing baseball as soon as he
started walking. However, it was safe to say that he had baseball in his blood before he was even born.
His father, Americo Enrique Ortiz, was a semi pro and professional player in the Dominican Republic,
and he became a source of inspiration for David Ortiz to play baseball. (The Famous People, 2017). In
addition, Ortiz s home country, The Dominican Republic, is known to deliver more talent to the major
leagues than any other country besides the United States. As a matter of fact, kids there are four times
more likely than their American counterparts to reach the major leagues. Dominicans make up
between 25 and 40 percent of minor leaguers. The reason why kids choose to dropout out and play
baseball instead is to one day get in opportunity to escape poverty and their horrible conditions by
playing in the major leagues (Hopkins, 2015). Despite Ortiz s father being a professional baseball

Legalize Medical Marijuana
Should we or should we not legalize Medical Marijuana? Yes, I think we should make medical
marijuana legal in all 50 states. Why is it so difficult for our government and our american society to
vote for marijuana to be used for medical purposes. There are many reasons why medical marijuana
should be legal, why is medical marijuana helpful, and cannabis are my three reasons why Medical
marijuana should be legalized. There are many reasons why medical marijuana should be legal. One
reason is that medical marijuana can help people that are hurt. Another reason is that medical
marijuana can help get rid of nausea and vomiting by settling in your stomach. Finally Medical

The Mining Act 1990
The Mining Act, 1990, has a significant role in protecting Ontario s vast mineral resources and brings
forth a set of policies in which promote responsible mining development and extraction. The
provincial government plays an integral role in the provinces mining industry because the Act requires
that all mineral claims must be recorded and accepted by the Crown which from then the two parties
discuss a lease fee for the mineral rights. After locating a mineral claim in an area deemed open by the
Crown, there are two options available for leases, the first being The holder of a mining claim may
elect to apply for a lease of the mining rights only. (Government of Ontario, 2017), while the second
option allows both the surface rights and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 2009, the passing of Bill 173, also known as the Mining Amendment Act brought forth various
changes that were created with the input of representatives from the mining industry, environmental
groups, municipalities, private citizens, and Aboriginal communities (Pratt Smitherman, 2009). The
discussions between the government and these groups helped lead to the implementation of new
regulations that promote mineral exploration and development in a manner that recognizes Aboriginal
and treaty rights.
The Mining Act does a very good job at protecting certain aspects of the environment such as ensuring
that over exploitation of minerals does not occur, or making it mandatory to have a plan in place for
closing the mine as well as assuring that there is money to do so. Although there are many things that
this Act does right, there are also areas in which there are issues and should be improved. One of the
first issues pertaining to this Act is the impact that it fails to mitigate regarding water quality. In areas
where mining development occurs, the water quality is drastically affected and a study found that
water from waste rock piles has an ionic profile distinct from unimpacted catchments (Carey, Wellen,
Shatilla, 2015), meaning that in order to mitigate the impact of the runoff measures must be put in
place to limit it. Secondly, the Act does not involve

Limiting Access To Abortions
Limiting Access to Abortions Limits a Woman s Life
When we had to interview women from different decades, I decided to approach my grandma on the
opinions in regards to abortions when she was growing up. It turns out that much of the controversy
that was around back then, still exists today. According to her, accidental pregnancies resulted in going
away for a while , or back alley abortions , which no one would dare discuss. In these procedures a
doctor , or some strange person would remove or kill the baby by using a coat hanger and inserting it
into the uterus. This was back in the 50 s and while back alley abortions seem like they would be
uncommon in this day in age with all of the available resources, the numbers of unsafe abortions ...

According to a scientific study of Women s sociological characteristics of and reasons for having
abortion as researched in developing countries, If young girls became pregnant they used to be
excluded from the school system. The laws at this point are now less strict, but such girls often prefer
to terminate their pregnancies because a pregnancy would compromise the smooth course of their
education. This same study also found that in Togo, Educational constraints make up one of the three
principal reasons given to justify abortions. and finally, Education is mentioned by almost a third of
women under 20 as a reason for abortion. From this study, it can be concluded, that having access to
abortions allow women who do not have access to another form of birth control the chance and
opportunity to further their education. It also can promote their own well beings, as well as their lives

Sigmund Freud Essay
Sigmund Freud is known to be one of the most prominent scholars on research and thoughts regarding
human nature. Freud is acknowledged for establishing out of the box theories with dominant concepts
that are backed up by good evidence. Freud s arguments are quite convincing, but very controversial.
When thoughts get controversial, a loss of strength for an argument occurs. Freud feels that religion is
a psychological anguish and suffering. (Webster, 2003) For Freud, religion attempts to influence
individuals psychologically in order to enhance wish fulfillment, infantile sexuality, Oedipal Complex,
and dominating humanity all over the world. (Webster, 2003) Sigmund Freud referred himself as a
scientist, his main work surrounded psychology. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Freud, 1917) I completely disagree with what Freud is saying, just because our ancestors believed in
religion and it was passed down, we are in a day and age where we are all very open. More and more
atheist is present and religion is not imposed on individuals. Freud claims that theories need to be
supported with proof to be valid and religion cannot do that. I disagree even though prophets and God
has not written themselves; the scriptures are in fact overlapping in material about incidences and
events that had occurred. For instance, in Christianity the Gospels within the bible there are three
synoptic Gospels that every much touch upon the same incidences, they were all written at different
times. If these scriptures were not accurate then why are there so many overlaps amongst them. Freud
states that religion pressures and suppresses people. (Freud, 1917) I think that religion is a personal
choice if you believe in a religion that s good and if you do not that s good to. It is an individual s
choice to make and no one can affect that decision. Religious ideas have the strongest influence and
impact on humanity till today, stated Freud. (Freud, 1917) Humans are very intelligent creatures, if
religion has such a strong hold on us, there has to be some truth behind it. Freud believes that religious
ideas, teaching, and experiences are all

Jean Baptiste Lamarck And Charles Darwin s Theory Of...
Trends in Evolution
Background information: Jean Baptiste Lamarck and Charles Darwin both thought and had ideas on
how life on Earth got to be the way it is now. Unlike lots other people at that time (1800 s), they both
thought that life had changed gradually over many years and an extended time and was still changing,
that living things change to be better suited and adapted to their environments. Lamarck is best known
for his Theory of Inheritance of Acquired Characteristics. He said that change is made by what the
organisms want or need. For example, Lamarck believed that giraffes stretched their necks to reach
food. Their descendants and later generations inherited the resulting long necks. Lamarck also
believed that evolution happens according to a prearranged plan and that the results have already been
decided. (NECSI, 2012). Darwin, on the other hand said that organisms are all different and that those
which happen to have variations that help them to survive in their environments survive and have
more offspring. The offspring are born with their parents helpful traits, and as they reproduce,
individuals with that trait make up more of the population. Other individuals, that are not so well
altered, die off. Darwin also believed that evolution does not happen according to any sort of plan.
We now know that there are four basic parts by which biological evolution takes place. These include
mutation, migration, genetic drift, and natural selection. Each of these

The City And Parts Of The Soul
Another premise is how justice is a craft with a particular function. All conventional items that human
beings use have a purpose otherwise its useless. Even the most ridiculous products sold on
infomercials are designed for a specific purpose. Although products being sold on infomercials are
ridiculous for being invented with a purpose in mind, but do not function well and generally make the
user of the product look foolish. Like conventional items justice has a function. However it is
important that a thing s function is the work that it alone can do, or can do better than anyone else (I.
353a). Basically, Plato is assuming that we, human beings are dependent on each other and working
together will create a more sustainable society for all. It makes sense for every individual to specialize
in a task and can trade goods or services with one another. Plato further applies this concept to his
analogy of the city and parts of the soul.
In the creation of a city, and for the soul to be justice it has a particular hierarchical formation. For
building the ideal city, Socrates divides people into three types of classes: the ruling class, the
auxiliary or warrior class and the producer class of merchants and artisans. Each class corresponds
with a virtue and depending on a person s virtue is where a person will end up. The virtues are wisdom
for the ruling, courage for the warriors and moderation for the working class. In addition, that we need

My parents were born and raised in Ahmedabad, India. My family is apart of the minority group of
Muslims that live within the majority Hindu population of India. Being raised in poverty, they did not
have the opportunity to attend college; instead they had to work in order to provide for their families.
After my parents got married, they migrated to the U.S. with no education, no inheritance, no savings
except the money they had in their pockets. As soon as they came to America they began to work at
my uncle s Dairy Queen night and day just to make ends meet. This stress was exacerbated after they
had three children; however, they made it work. They ensured that each one of us had a great
education and would have an opportunity to go to college.

Could Marijuana Oil Be The Real All In One Cure?
Epilepsy affects 50,000,000 people worldwide (Cure Epilepsy). Almost 500 new cases are reported
each day in the United States. Thirty percent of these cases are from children (Cure Epilepsy). Instead
of living a life of happiness, these children are fighting for their lives, hoping they can see the next
day. However, it does not have to be this way. There is a possible cure for epilepsy, but many countries
have banned the use of this product. Some countries now allow their citizens the use of marijuana oil,

Once the plant is dissolved, the thick liquid is poured into a coffee filter to strain out the unwanted
plant remnants. The last step is to boil the strained liquid (How to Make Canna oils). This rather

Marijuana oil is thought to have been discovered by Chinese Emperor Shen Nung in 27 B.C. In 1545
marijuana was sent to the western hemisphere, and was commonly utilized in making attire, baskets,
paper, and rope (Nature s Addictive Plants). Often, in many cases, people are confused whether to
believe in the positive effects or heed the negative effects of marijuana oil. One beneficial acid found
in the oil is Omega 3 fatty acid, which prevents coronary heart disease (What Is Hemp Oil Benefits).
Omega 3 fatty acid is an unsaturated fatty acid of a kind occurring mostly in fish oils. The oil also
contains Aliphatic Alcohols, which reduce cholesterol and reduce platelet aggression. Phytol, one of
the Aliphatic Alcohols, is associated with an anti cancer benefits. Phytol can also be found in foods

were given each given four popsicle sticks and a small pile of glue. The teacher instructed them to use
the paint brush to spread the glue out inside the number one and then place the popsicle sticks on top.
One two and a half year old girl was working on the craft. She would take the paint brush with her

She stood there for a second before becoming angry. She pointed to the shoes, Me mine shoes! Me

Rutherford B. Hayes Rutherford B. Hayes was the 19th president of The United States of America. He
also served in other important political positions, including the Governor of Ohio. Perhaps the most
important thing Hayes did was get America on the right track towards the civil rights movement.

him become one of our nation s presidents. Rutherford B. Hayes was born on October 4, 1822 in

Rutherford B Hayes resigned to campaign all across Ohio to run for governor. The biggest topic of the
election was whether African Americans would get voting rights. The election was won by Hayes in
1867, but he had some struggles. He was a Republican under a Democratic legislator and had no veto
power. However, he helped create a deaf mute school and a school for girls. In his second term, he
won voting rights for black males, and helped what would become Ohio State University be founded.
He also brought the idea of lower taxes and a better life for prisoners. He left office in 1872 and came
back in 1876 and served a year long term. Rutherford B. Hayes had one of the most controversial
presidential elections. In 1876, Hayes won the Republican presidential nomination. Nearing the end of
the election, South Carolina, Louisiana and Florida had trouble with the ballot. To solve the problem, a
group of representatives voted on where all the aforementioned states votes would go. The majority of
the panel were Republican, Hayes s party and he was voted into office. The Democrats were outraged.
There was an agreement made, and many troops in the south were called back. This officially ended
the Reconstruction of the states. Rutherford B Hayes was named the president by the council and

Marketing Concepts Of The Valley Animal Center
Describe the marketing objectives you sought to achieve, using marketing terms and concepts.
The Valley Animal Center organizes an event each year to help raise funds for the shelter. The event
we participated in is called Wiggle Waggle Walk. As group, we had the task to market the event and
come up with a fun interacting activity for the occasion. We had three main objectives that helped us
to better organize and focus our ideas. The first objective was to generate a creative and interactive
activity for the participants of the Wiggle Waggle Walk to go through. The second objective was to
sign up at least five individuals as a result from marketing the event. The last objective was to create
promotional flyers to increase awareness and attendance for the walk. To complete the marketing
project, we went through a process.
Throughout the process, we met with Jackie, our supervisor, at least once a week to keep her updated
with our progress. The first time we met with Jackie, she gave us the theme for the event, which was
Movie Mania. As a group, we decided to create a Minion Photo Booth for the Wiggle Waggle Walk
that took place at the Woodward Park on October 11. Jackie s supervisor liked our idea and gave us
the approval to continue with our plan. The next objective was one of the biggest ones, which
consisted of signing up at least five individuals for the event. To encourage people to sign up for the
event, we offered a promo code of $5 discount to the first five

Analysis Of Ace Ventura And School Of Rock
In both, Ace Ventura and School of Rock, comedy is proposed from the outset; even the title and
movie cover are comedic. Setting up pretend worlds creates distances for the audience allowing them
to laugh at the comedies. In Ace Ventura, the main character, Ace Ventura, is a pet detective hired to
find a missing dolphin who is kidnapped before the Superbowl. This concept suggest absurdity at both
the ridiculousness of someone kidnapping a dolphin and a private pet detective being hired to find it.
This concept also sets up a lot of jokes throughout the movie; Ace has a special bond with animals, an
ability to communicate with animals, and in many ways acts like an animal, especially a dog. At no
point is the concept of the movie taken seriously by the audience so the outrageousness of Ace s
character and his actions are cartoonish.
This is a very different tone from School of Rock, where the movie is set in a somewhat more realistic
world that the audience is able to identify with. School of Rock creates comedy through a fish out of
water scenario where the immature, rock and roll loving, Dewey impersonates his roommate, Ned,
and becomes a substitute teacher for ten year olds. The scheming Dewey devises a plan to create a
rock band out of his class and win a contest, setting up multiple comedic approaches.
The role of Ace Ventura seems to be written especially for Jim Carrey as it takes advantage of all of
his physical comedy gifts. Jim Carrey honed his comedic

Examples Of Greed In Dante s Inferno

mountain sees paradise where his love, Beatrice, resides. He then begins making his way to the
mountain when he sees 3 creatures, a lion, a leopard and a she wolf. He then meets the spirit of Virgil,
who was a roman poet. Virgil guides Dante through the 9 rings of hell in order for Dante to reach
Beatrice. They begin at Limbo, Where those who didn t identify as being Christians and those who

There were two types of greed a person would have had, those who hoarded possessions, and those
who carelessly spent them. The punishment was to have an unstoppably heavy weight suppressed onto
one s chest to represent the drive a person had to keep or carelessly spend their riches/possessions. In
this ring Dante saw men of the clergy, including popes and cardinals. I would closely relate greed to
gluttony because the overconsumption of food is basically being greedy and not sharing with others,
even though these two are closely related, I still stand by with rearranging lust and gluttony because I
feel greed is much worse. With Christianity, for the most part, everyone would go out of their way to
help one another. I feel this is mostly among the poorer people because they would appreciate one
another s efforts and open to sharing and trading what they could muster. As for people such as some
kings, popes, and higher classes, since they had their riches, and far more positions, sharing was not
on their agenda, again I m not saying all higher class people did this. For those who carelessly spend
their riches, they only think about themselves rather than helping out the poor. I can think of quite a
few people now a day s that would definitely be ing this ring. I would keep this as the fourth ring
because it s not the worst thing someone can do, but the punishment is defenatly what those who

we can hop in the truck and go four wheeling. This shows me that Jesse s father is still alive because a

they can still go four wheeling together. Jesse also states, Remind me to give you a hug goodnight I

movie is an adaptation of the book by the same name that was written by Anthony Burgess in 1963.
The story begins with the main character, Alex narrating while he and his fellow gang members
Georgie, Dim and Pete sit in the Korova Milk Bar discussing what violent acts they will be part of that
night. The drink of choice is milk that is laced with drugs that is dispensed from the breast of nude
statues of women that adorn the bar. After Alex and his gang leave the Korova, they go on a crime
spree that includes mugging, robbery, a gang fight, grand theft auto, breaking and entering and rape.
The rape of the woman is especially brutal; Alex and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A primary theme that runs throughout the movie is the importance of free will. This theme is deeply
entangled with Beethoven s Ninth Symphony and the idea the Ninth provides the backdrop to pivotal
violent points during the movie. Free will in the movie is often depicted as the presence of a moral
choice. This moral choice for Alex is heavily influenced by the way society and the government views
the young people of that time period. The youth are neglected not only by their parents, but by the
society who is supposed to be welcoming them with open arms and helping them become a
productive, responsible adult. John Locke suggests in his Social Contract Theory that the idea that
though men are by nature free, equal and independent , they can be subjected to the political power of
another with their consent. The purpose of this being is to maintain a set of rules for which all agree to
follow, thus creating social peace

The third is to describe and substantiate the tripartite composition of MA used in the research i.e. MA
techniques, skills and roles. Change in Management Accounting Technical innovation has been a
marked feature of MA over the past two decades. New methods such as activity based costing, quality
costing, life cycle costing, target and kaizen costing, throughput accounting, the balanced scorecard
and beyond budgeting have been prominent developments extending the management accountant s
tool kit. Empirical research confirms that the new techniques are being used by organizations to
varying degrees. Although in most instances adoption has taken place in a minority of companies
favouring those of a larger size, the evidence shows that these techniques are now used in at least three
continents. Consequently, these developments have resulted in significant levels of real world MA
change. Empirical evidence of management accounting change takes the form of both case studies

Social work educators must also, at all times, provide leadership and be mentors for their students.
Field of Practice Social work evolved in the United States during the time of the Industrial Revolution
when people started moving into urban areas and social issues such as poverty, prostitution and child
labor became problematic. Social work was initially done through missionaries and charities;
however, formalized education came into being in 1898. According to the Counsel of Social Work
Education (CSWE), The Summer School of Philanthropy was founded in 1898 by the Charity
Organization Society of New York and was soon followed by additional training schools for social
workers in Boston, Chicago, St. Louis, and Philadelphia. In 1919 the Association of Training Schools
for Professional Social Workers was established, (CSWE, 2014). The AASSW established formal
accrediting procedures in 1932, (CSWE, 2014). In 1937 AASSW s move to limit its membership to
graduate schools caused state higher education institutions to form the National Association of
Schools and Social Administration (CSWE, 2014). In an article published by the The Social Welfare

The Abdduction By Joyce Carol Oates Analysis
The Abduction Joyce Carol Oates has captivated the imagination of the reader within her short story
The Abduction. There are many components to making a story great as well, and in his Ted Talk The
Clues to a Great Story , Andrew Stanton goes into detail about the dos and don ts of story. Joyce Carol
Oates uses several of the positive references from Stanton s Ted Talk throughout her short story to
grab the reader s attention and envelope them into the story of a girl gone missing. As anyone can
imagine it is fascinating to read a story about something we would never want to happen to ourselves.
Whether it be a disappearance or a murder, the suspense intrigues the reader and triggers them to want
to find out the ending. The main character in The Abduction is a seventeen year old girl with the so
called maturity of someone much older, who slips up and puts herself into a dangerous situation. She
is abducted. Joyce Carol Oates immediately turns the reader s attention towards the girl directly into
the situation, personally placing them into the story trying to find out how to escape. In Stanton s Ted
Talk he explains the concept of Don t give them four, give them two plus two. Give the reader two
pieces of information separately and let them put it together on their own. Oates uses this concept
from the beginning when she says, it wasn t actually right away that she understood something was
wrong and he was making an effort not to talk too fast or get too excited and wasn t paying all that
much attention where he was driving to lead the reader in the direction of an abduction occurring. This
concept of leading the reader to the answer allows them to work for what they want in the end.
Stanton also discusses how the audience needs to like the main character as well in his quote, another
fundamental thing we learned was about liking your main character. from his Ted Talk. Within her
story, Oates pulls on the heartstrings of the reader by making the main character a naive teenage girl
attempting to get home who stumbles into the wrong situation. In the quote, she was seventeen years
old...walking there, alone, her shoulders hunched against the wind...she was asked by this man from
Oates s story,

Two Point Threshold Lab Report
In this experiment, the two point threshold, or smallest separation of two points of stimulation on the
skin that are perceived as two separate impressions of touch, was measured using the method of limits.
The purpose of this experiment was to determine the participant s two point threshold on their finger,
forearm, palm, and back. The identification of the stimulus is due to a variety of somatosensation
mechanoreceptors, meaning they sense touch in response to a mechanical stimulation or pressure,
which are located all over the body. When pressure is placed upon the epidermis (outermost layer of
skin), different receptors respond to that pressure which is felt through vibrations. There are four types
of mechanoreceptors: Merkel complexes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The ascending trials for each body part, with the exception of the second trial of the forearm, did not
vary far from the mean threshold. When the second trial of forearm stimulation was given to the
participant, there was a point in time (near the middle of administration) in which the experimenter
accidentally placed the dial caliber tips onto the participant s skin at two separate times. This caused
the participant to report feeling the stimulus as separate earlier than she did in the first and third
forearm trials. Because of this error, the mean two point threshold of the forearm was not as reliable as
it could have been had there been no error in the deliverance of stimuli. The purpose of this lab was, in
fact, achieved and the participant s two point threshold means were calculated. The errors of this
experiment could have been avoided by utilizing computer/mechanical stimulation as opposed to a
dial caliper. Using a machine to administer the touch would ensure that the pressures as well as the
timing and placement of each tip on the caliber were exactly the same. It is also important to note that
the temperature of the dial caliber could have had an effect of the collection of data. At various points
throughout the experiment, the participant jumped at the chilling temperature of the metal caliber.
With each startle of the participant, the experimenter had to remove and then re place the stimulus
onto the participant s skin to attempt an accurate reading. In future experiments, it is important to
standardize the pressure and placement of the stimuli to record a more accurate data set. It may also be
helpful to eliminate the variable of temperature of the caliber to the best of one s ability. As a
continuation of this study, it may strike the experimenter as intriguing to add a variable such as

Statistics Of Clinton County, Iowa
When you the evaluate statistics of Clinton County, Iowa, you can infer the various styles of living
and economic classes of these areas. In Clinton County, Iowa, the middle class has an annual income
between $33,300 and $99,401. As I walked down the streets of Cobblestone Estates in DeWitt, Iowa
and driving through the trailer parks on the outskirts of DeWitt, it is clear to examine the differences
between these two neighborhoods. The three central differences fall into the categories of economic
differences, personal identities, and outdoor appearance s. Cobblestone Estates, has immense homes

very low income compared the wealthier families. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With these homes being manufactured in industrial shops, they are constructed fairly quickly and can
be shipped to a location on one semi trailer. The doublewide trailers require a little more effort to
obtain. Doublewide homes begin at 1,067 square feet and can reach up to 2,300 square feet. These
homes have a width of 20 feet or more and can reach an astonishing 90 feet long. Although they can
get quite large, the most common size is 56 feet long and 26 feet wide. This totals out to be around
1,456 square feet. Unfortunately, with these homes being wider they have to be shipped as two
separate units and are jointed together seamlessly to create a double wide home. These homes can be
shipped onto the site very quickly and at a low cost compared to constructing a larger home built in a
subdivision. After some research conducted on the U.S. Census Bureau website, I found the average
new home built in 2015 had a square footage of 2,467. Even though these statistics are the average
house size in the Midwest in 2015, Cobblestone Estates holds houses well over the median square
footage in the Midwest. All of this information within the economic differences category because
wealthier families tend to relocate to upper class neighborhoods, compared to lower class families
moving to trailer parks. Although Cobblestone includes homes larger than the average sized home,
this does not mean they are necessarily wealthier than than the inhabitants in

The Arts And Arts Education
Studies show that students in the arts outperformed their non arts peers on the SAT by 96 points, while
a child who has continued access to arts education has a 74 percent higher chance of planning to
attend college (Urist 9). The arts teach several lessons to children and they provide an equal
opportunity for everyone. The arts also provide a different form of discipline and insight into the real
world. While others may say that sports make kids strive for good grades, the arts support children in
a different way. Others may also say funding should go towards core subjects, but what they don t
know is that the humanities use the core subjects during classes. Even though fine arts are not exciting
for everyone, they should receive more funding in schools because fine arts keep kids out of trouble,
provide a way to express oneself and help teenagers make life decisions.
Every year fine arts and humanities programs are cut from high schools. The fine arts and humanities
programs are the studies of art, literature, dance, music or theater. The fine arts are both extra

The value of Swiss Franc has increased significantly against the majority of currencies such as US
Dollar and British Pound since the breakdown of the Bretton Woods system in 1973. Furthermore,
since the inception of the Euro in 1999, the Swiss Franc marked appreciation against the Euro

worried that the strong Swiss Franc risks would push Switzerland into recession. The country s
traditionally strong and stable economy has been depending on its important exports. More than 50%
of its products are sold overseas. In the past 18 months of 2011 the Swiss Franc had increased 25%

hand, with the Swiss Franc at its high record, the Swiss shoppers have started to abandon local
business due to the relatively high prices of the products. They would prefer to shop in the
neighboring countries with lower prices such as Germany where they can also be able to get a refund

Dear Mr. Gordon,
We have completed the analysis of your goal to determine the amount of tomato products to pack for
the season. This report consists of defining the whole problem and the solution as you desired to be,
with respect to limitations and possibilities that already exist, management policies, recommendations
and alternatives.
By modulating the problem, we found out that the highest profit is obtained with 615.000 pounds of
canned whole tomatoes from grade A and 205,000 from grade B, 65.000 juice from grade A and
195.000 from B, and 2.000.000 paste tomatoes from grade B. So the whole net profit will be $47.600.

Grade B tomatoes were averaged 5 points per pound. The minimum average input quality for canned
whole tomatoes was 8 points per pound and for tomato juice was 6 points per pound.
The whole tomato production was limited to 800.000
Variables: The following variables were defined to do the calculations and will be used for our
analysis.
X1 è pounds of grade A tomatoes in canned whole tomatoes. X2 è pounds of grade B tomatoes in
canned whole tomatoes.
9X1 + 5X2 ≥ 8 (X1 + X2) è 9X1 + 5X2 = 8 (X1 + X2) è 9X1 8X1 = 8X2
‐ 5X2 è X1 = 3X2
We know that X1 is maximum 600.000 pounds of the total crop. Substituting this
value on the equation above we obtained the value for X2: ! .!!!
X1 = 3X2 è 600.000 = 3X2 è X2 = ! = 200.000
Adding the two values of X1 and X2 we obtained the limited production amount for whole tomatoes:
X1 + X2 =

Japan is a very interesting place, it is the same size of the state California and the lifestyle can be

the political area I have learned that in the United States we have a President and Secretaries of the
state, but in Japan they have Emperor s (chief of state), Prime Ministers, and Deputy Prime Ministers.
The chef of state is named Emperor Akihito and the head of government is Prime Minister Shinzo

political party and appoints various ministries to make up his cabinet. Political power is supposed to
be shared between national government and regional governments. However, most of the time the
national government is unwilling or unable to fix urgent or local matters. According to Funabashi, The
country s population has been declining since 2008 at 128 million people to 2016 at 127 million
people. The prime minister has set the first numerical target to stabilize the population at 100 million

Vaping Vs Smoking Research Paper
In 2016 there were more than 480,000 deaths annually from smoking according to the CDC. With that
in mind, is vaping a good and safer alternative to smoking? Vapor products are noncombustible
electronic devices that contain no tobacco and do not emit smoke. Vaping devices create vapor by
heating a coil or wire that is wrapped around a cotton or rayon wick, this, in turn, vaporizes the liquid
which in then inhaled giving the effect and feeling of inhaling smoke from a cigarette. Smoking
delivers nicotine to the user s body via combustion and smoke inhalation. The combustion is what
makes smoking so bad for you. When the tobacco is burned, it releases thousands of toxic chemicals
into your body. Vaping allows users to choose different flavors

Kidney Transplants
Kidney transplants have been known since 1954 when it was first performed at Brigham Woman s
hospital in Boston. Although technology and technique involved have improved, the waiting list for a
kidney transplant (which is the most common transplanted organ) continues to increase. In 2012 there
were 95,000 individuals waiting for a transplant yet only about 16,500 transplants were performed that
year. Introducing a new system that offers compensation for people who give up their organs is what
some believe the most effective way to decrease the waiting list. Individuals waiting on a transplant
and their family members endure many hardships such as; the high cost of the transplant, hardships of
dialysis, and reduced life expectancy.Individuals ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

immoral. Paying individuals $15,000 for a kidney would ultimately save the recipient about $330,000
and an improved liberalized lifestyle. In a transplant the recipient of the kidney is the only person
receiving a tangible benefit. If the person who donates receives compensation in return this individual
will also benefit financially. The word donation is defined as an act or instance of presenting
something as a gift, grant, or contribution . Taking this definition into account the idea of organ
donations would be nonexistent. The article presents the fact that the waiting list is getting larger and
larger due to the lack of donations. Setting up a capitalist market for body parts may in no doubt
increase the donations yet, who are the people that will be selling their organs? The less wealthy
therefore implementing a system in which the poor are working as replacement parts for the rich.
Paying for organs is immoral because it treats the human body as a commodity, but is it more immoral

We put $500,000 towards television advertising, and $700,000 towards magazine advertising. We
assumed that newspaper advertising was unnecessary and less effective opposed to television and
magazine advertising. Next, we decreased public relations expenditure from $500,000 to $320,000.
Like advertising, we put more money towards magazines and television than newspaper. In television,
we spent $125,000 and $195,000 in magazines. By following the scenario information, our company
believed it was best to spend our money according to the suggestions and preferences that were stated
in order to meet market demand. Operations Financial Decisions The company started off producing
20,000 units of mountain bikes. We did not change the production quantity. Last year our forecast
sales were 24,000 when we only sold 19,866; therefore we thought it would be best to leave
production at 20,000 bikes. Having excess inventory, we concluded that 20,000 units should be
enough considering our quality has not changed and our advertising will not increase the sales
dramatically. Although we had the choice to produce as much as 30,000 units, we felt as though we
did not have sufficient money to increase production. We were interested in allocating the money
towards marketing as opposed to production. We realized that without awareness, no matter how many
units we make, sales would be inefficient. Financial Decisions We did not get the

Analyzing The Film Gladiator
My film I watched was Gladiator. It was an action movie as opposed to a documentary about war. It
was based in Rome in the early times.
In the movie, the emperor of Rome was Marcus Aurelius. He was a very victorious general. After his
death he wanted Maximus to take the throne, and he wasn t even his son. Aurelius s son was very
power hungry and wanted to rule. His plan was to rule Rome and take the throne. He wanted to
murder the last ruler Marcus Aurelius and then execute Maximus, which was the new emperor after so
then he would be next in line. Maximus then escaped the execution but was then sold into slavery.
From there he was forced into being a gladiator. He was trained by Proximo. Later they were sent off
to Rome to perform a lot of

Describe The Working Conditions In The 1800 s
Six days a week I worked from siren to siren. This quote describes what it was like to work at a
plantation, it explains how it was on a regular day working on a plantation in Hawai i. Sugar was
starting to grow in Hawai i during the reign of Kamehameha III. At first there were many plantations
but then only a few grew larger and continued to produce. The larger plantations often bought the land
of the smaller ones that were not successful. These large plantations needed workers to manage the
machinery, so Kamehameha III had the idea to look abroad for workers. These workers came from
near and far to work on the plantations to get paid $3 a month. Plantation life in Hawai i in the 1800 s
was demanding. The living conditions were dreadful, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the first source it says, the workers had to share a one room house and that one house that they
shared was unsanitary. The first source also states, their houses were on the fields and had little to no
shade. They would only get a pre dawn bowl of rice that had to last them the whole day, this shows
that the workers didn t have a lot to eat. In the article it stated, the wake up call was at 5:00 in the
morning and all of them had to be at the fields by 5:30 a.m. Second, the working conditions were
terrible. According to source one, the workers had to hike to get to the fields and then spend 10 to 12
hours working on the fields. For the 10 to 12 hours that the people worked, they only received $3 a
month and were charged for many necessities, this means that the workers didn t have a lot of money.
If they worked more than 10 hours, the workers get paid more. Third, the different races were also
treated differently. The management and skilled jobs were held by whites. The camp policemen were
mostly Portuguese and Hawaiian. The asians got the hardest jobs, this means that the . Japanese cane
cutters were paid $0.99, while the filipino cane cutters were paid $0.69. Filipino string bands would
go from plantation to plantation for workers to pay to dance with a woman for three

IPSec and SSL/TLS protocols, which provide security services, are widely used for VPN. In this paper, I ll learn the details of IPSec and TLS/SSL protocols and provide an analysis and comparison of them. I. Introduction Virtual Private Network (VPN) comes to my sight by chance due to China s great firewall blocked my access to Gmail when I stayed in China last summer. To visit the blocked websites, one of solutions is using VPN technology. VPN is referred to set up a private network across a public network and usually can be classified by three types: [1] Remote Access Type, which can establish a connection between a client outside and a company s internal resources, Extranet Type, which connects different resources in different networks, and Intranet Type, which creates a connection between different resources within one network. The working theory of VPN can be briefly explained by a simple example including several steps: Node A in Network I want to communicate to Node B in Network II via public network. 1. Since A wants to communicate with B, A will generate and send a packet whose destination IP is B s IP address in Network II. 2. The gateway of Network I gets A s packet and checks its destination IP, if belongs to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In 2009, the passing of Bill 173, also known as the Mining Amendment Act brought forth various changes that were created with the input of representatives from the mining industry, environmental groups, municipalities, private citizens, and Aboriginal communities (Pratt Smitherman, 2009). The discussions between the government and these groups helped lead to the implementation of new regulations that promote mineral exploration and development in a manner that recognizes Aboriginal and treaty rights. The Mining Act does a very good job at protecting certain aspects of the environment such as ensuring that over exploitation of minerals does not occur, or making it mandatory to have a plan in place for closing the mine as well as assuring that there is money to do so. Although there are many things that this Act does right, there are also areas in which there are issues and should be improved. One of the first issues pertaining to this Act is the impact that it fails to mitigate regarding water quality. In areas where mining development occurs, the water quality is drastically affected and a study found that water from waste rock piles has an ionic profile distinct from unimpacted catchments (Carey, Wellen, Shatilla, 2015), meaning that in order to mitigate the impact of the runoff measures must be put in place to limit it. • 8. Jean Baptiste Lamarck And Charles Darwin s Theory Of... Trends in Evolution Background information: Jean Baptiste Lamarck and Charles Darwin both thought and had ideas on how life on Earth got to be the way it is now. Unlike lots other people at that time (1800 s), they both thought that life had changed gradually over many years and an extended time and was still changing, that living things change to be better suited and adapted to their environments. Lamarck is best known for his Theory of Inheritance of Acquired Characteristics. He said that change is made by what the organisms want or need. For example, Lamarck believed that giraffes stretched their necks to reach food. Their descendants and later generations inherited the resulting long necks. Lamarck also believed that evolution happens according to a prearranged plan and that the results have already been decided. (NECSI, 2012). Darwin, on the other hand said that organisms are all different and that those which happen to have variations that help them to survive in their environments survive and have more offspring. The offspring are born with their parents helpful traits, and as they reproduce, individuals with that trait make up more of the population. Other individuals, that are not so well altered, die off. Darwin also believed that evolution does not happen according to any sort of plan. We now know that there are four basic parts by which biological evolution takes place. These include mutation, migration, genetic drift, and natural selection. Each of these ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Like conventional items justice has a function. However it is important that a thing s function is the work that it alone can do, or can do better than anyone else (I. 353a). Basically, Plato is assuming that we, human beings are dependent on each other and working together will create a more sustainable society for all. It makes sense for every individual to specialize in a task and can trade goods or services with one another. Plato further applies this concept to his analogy of the city and parts of the soul. In the creation of a city, and for the soul to be justice it has a particular hierarchical formation. For building the ideal city, Socrates divides people into three types of classes: the ruling class, the auxiliary or warrior class and the producer class of merchants and artisans. • 16. Analysis Of Ace Ventura And School Of Rock In both, Ace Ventura and School of Rock, comedy is proposed from the outset; even the title and movie cover are comedic. Setting up pretend worlds creates distances for the audience allowing them to laugh at the comedies. In Ace Ventura, the main character, Ace Ventura, is a pet detective hired to find a missing dolphin who is kidnapped before the Superbowl. This concept suggest absurdity at both the ridiculousness of someone kidnapping a dolphin and a private pet detective being hired to find it. This concept also sets up a lot of jokes throughout the movie; Ace has a special bond with animals, an ability to communicate with animals, and in many ways acts like an animal, especially a dog. At no point is the concept of the movie taken seriously by the audience so the outrageousness of Ace s character and his actions are cartoonish. This is a very different tone from School of Rock, where the movie is set in a somewhat more realistic world that the audience is able to identify with. School of Rock creates comedy through a fish out of water scenario where the immature, rock and roll loving, Dewey impersonates his roommate, Ned, and becomes a substitute teacher for ten year olds. In this ring Dante saw men of the clergy, including popes and cardinals. I would closely relate greed to gluttony because the overconsumption of food is basically being greedy and not sharing with others, even though these two are closely related, I still stand by with rearranging lust and gluttony because I feel greed is much worse. With Christianity, for the most part, everyone would go out of their way to help one another. I feel this is mostly among the poorer people because they would appreciate one another s efforts and open to sharing and trading what they could muster. As for people such as some kings, popes, and higher classes, since they had their riches, and far more positions, sharing was not on their agenda, again I m not saying all higher class people did this. Empirical research confirms that the new techniques are being used by organizations to varying degrees. Although in most instances adoption has taken place in a minority of companies favouring those of a larger size, the evidence shows that these techniques are now used in at least three continents. Consequently, these developments have resulted in significant levels of real world MA change. Empirical evidence of management accounting change takes the form of both case studies (e.g. Clark, 1985, Innes and Mitchell, 1990, Shields and Young, 1991, Darlington et al., 1992, Kaplan and Norton, 1992, Dutton and Ferguson, 1996, Burns et al., 1999, Anderson and Young, 2001) and surveys undertaken in several different countries [e.g. Bright et al., 1992 (UK), Green and Amenkhienan, 1992 62 WHAT FACTORS DRIVE CHANGE IN MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING IN MALAYSIAN ORGANISATIONS? • 27. The Abdduction By Joyce Carol Oates Analysis The Abduction Joyce Carol Oates has captivated the imagination of the reader within her short story The Abduction. There are many components to making a story great as well, and in his Ted Talk The Clues to a Great Story , Andrew Stanton goes into detail about the dos and don ts of story. Joyce Carol Oates uses several of the positive references from Stanton s Ted Talk throughout her short story to grab the reader s attention and envelope them into the story of a girl gone missing. As anyone can imagine it is fascinating to read a story about something we would never want to happen to ourselves. Whether it be a disappearance or a murder, the suspense intrigues the reader and triggers them to want to find out the ending. The main character in The Abduction is a seventeen year old girl with the so called maturity of someone much older, who slips up and puts herself into a dangerous situation. She is abducted. Joyce Carol Oates immediately turns the reader s attention towards the girl directly into the situation, personally placing them into the story trying to find out how to escape. In Stanton s Ted Talk he explains the concept of Don t give them four, give them two plus two. Give the reader two pieces of information separately and let them put it together on their own. Oates uses this concept from the beginning when she says, it wasn t actually right away that she understood something was wrong and he was making an effort not to talk too fast or get too excited and wasn t paying all that much attention where he was driving to lead the reader in the direction of an abduction occurring. This concept of leading the reader to the answer allows them to work for what they want in the end. Stanton also discusses how the audience needs to like the main character as well in his quote, another fundamental thing we learned was about liking your main character. from his Ted Talk. Within her story, Oates pulls on the heartstrings of the reader by making the main character a naive teenage girl attempting to get home who stumbles into the wrong situation. • 29. Two Point Threshold Lab Report In this experiment, the two point threshold, or smallest separation of two points of stimulation on the skin that are perceived as two separate impressions of touch, was measured using the method of limits. The purpose of this experiment was to determine the participant s two point threshold on their finger, forearm, palm, and back. The identification of the stimulus is due to a variety of somatosensation mechanoreceptors, meaning they sense touch in response to a mechanical stimulation or pressure, which are located all over the body. When pressure is placed upon the epidermis (outermost layer of skin), different receptors respond to that pressure which is felt through vibrations. There are four types of mechanoreceptors: Merkel complexes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The ascending trials for each body part, with the exception of the second trial of the forearm, did not vary far from the mean threshold. When the second trial of forearm stimulation was given to the participant, there was a point in time (near the middle of administration) in which the experimenter accidentally placed the dial caliber tips onto the participant s skin at two separate times. This caused the participant to report feeling the stimulus as separate earlier than she did in the first and third forearm trials. Because of this error, the mean two point threshold of the forearm was not as reliable as it could have been had there been no error in the deliverance of stimuli. The purpose of this lab was, in fact, achieved and the participant s two point threshold means were calculated. The errors of this experiment could have been avoided by utilizing computer/mechanical stimulation as opposed to a dial caliper. Using a machine to administer the touch would ensure that the pressures as well as the timing and placement of each tip on the caliber were exactly the same. It is also important to note that the temperature of the dial caliber could have had an effect of the collection of data. At various points throughout the experiment, the participant jumped at the chilling temperature of the metal caliber. With each startle of the participant, the experimenter had to remove and then re place the stimulus onto the participant s skin to attempt an accurate reading. In future experiments, it is important to standardize the pressure and placement of the stimuli to record a more accurate data set. It may also be helpful to eliminate the variable of temperature of the caliber to the best of one s ability. As a continuation of this study, it may strike the experimenter as intriguing to add a variable such as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
