Women In Christianity And Islam
Christianity and Islam both believe women are inferior to men. However, historically, women had
more rights in Islam than in Christianity. Both religions have similarities along with its differences
in how women were treated through the religion. Women had little to no rights by any means in
both religions, one a little harsher than the other. Christianityand Islamboth believe women are
inferior to men. The reason for this is that many stories in the Christian Scripture as being less
spiritual as men. For example, Women are known to be crated in both Islam and Christianity from
man and for man. By this being said, in the book Genesis, Eve was the one who was deceived by
the shake. Islam like Christianity, also saw women as inferior. Women

Although women were still inferior to men, they did have a couple more rights. For example,
during the war time, schooling, and job opportunities increased for women. They were able to
work for the army, the government, along with other jobs. However this did not last long. Even
though it did not stay to be true, we can still say that women had more rights in Islam. This
would not even be a thought in Christianity. Many roles if not all were strictly only allowed to be
filled by man. There was not even a thought in anyone s mind that a women would be able to
successfully complete a role in the work force. The women was to stay at home, keep the house

Ethics And Ethics Of Ethics In Public Relations
My question is how have ethics evolved in public relation? I am asking this question because I
want to acquire knowledge and more detail about ethics in public relation. My major in
communication and this question is in association with my major. In my essay I will discuss about
ethics in public relation and the advertisingof some company. To answer this question I will look
for the information in internet and some books in library also I will do the survey.
The definition of ethics in the public relations is controlling the ethics which includes values such
as honesty, openness, loyalty, fair mindedness, respect, and forthright communication. The ethics in

You should know that a sound basis in public relation is to be frank and not hide the facts of interest
to the masses. There are no secrets in institution with the exceptions of the special operation of

production. Public relation must be based on ethical principles to strengthen trust between the
institution and the audiences also they must move away from all styles and forms of fraud,
(Johnston, 2016). They must provide facts for masses to gain their trust. The public relations and

Islamic State Of Iraq And Al Sham ( Isis )
What Are ISIS Intentions?
This assignment is a qualitative study about Islamic State of Iraq and al Sham (ISIS). What it
ISIS? Where does it come from? What are its intentions? These questions seem to be simple but can
be misrepresenting. According to Schmitt, Major General Nagata, the Special Operations
commander for the U.S. in the Middle East, admitted that that he had barely begun figuring out
the Islamic State?s appeal. ?We have not defeated the idea,? he said. ?We do not even understand
the idea.? In the past year, President Obama has referred to the Islamic State as ?not Islamic? and
as al Qaeda?s second team statements that reflected confusion about the group, and may have
contributed to significant strategic errors (Schmitt, 2014).
Since summer of 2010, ISIS seized Mosul, Iraq and ruled an area larger than the United
Kingdom. According to Wood, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi has been known as the leader, who
delivered a Ramadan sermon to upgrade his resolution from hunted guerrilla to commander of all
Muslims in summer 2014 (Wood, 2015). Baghdadi has spoken on camera only once, but he has
sent online videos and encyclicals to supporters who have toiled mightily to make their project
knowable. These online resources reject peace and hunger for slaughter. ISIS religious views make
it constitutionally incapable of certain types of change and it considers itself a precursor in the
coming end of the world.

Amputated Limb
Abstract
Through previously conducted experiments, it has been shown that amputation results in a
reduction of gray matter in areas in the motor cortex that represent the amputated limb. This study
focuses on the changes in gray matter of amputees with differing intensities of phantom limb pain
(PLP). To analyze two potential causes of transformation in the cortex, the changes of patient s
brain structures with high chronic PLP are compared to patients who did not develop PLP or only
mild PLP. In addition, a second group was tested to specifically focus on patients experiencing
intense PLP and patients with phantom limb sensations (PLS) and slight PLP. This paper gives a

Essay On Law Of Law
Federal laws and policies are more than just lists of actions that come with jail time. It also
includes legislation that endorses certain aspects and solves problems facing the country as a
whole, as well as individual states*****. The process by which ideas become laws and policies is
the journey of the legislative process. It is through this process that an examination of Senate
bill 2517 , the Combat Terrorist Use of Social Media Act of 2016, how it is progressing though
Congress, and its likelihood of becoming law can take place. The process through which bills

If the Rules committee decides to allow the bill, it is debated on the House floor. Amendments
may be added, sections edited, revised, or struck out altogether***. If the majority of the house
votes in favor of the bill, it is sent to Senate where a similar process takes place. In Senate, a
senator takes the bill and presents it, after which, if it is approved, it is sent to committee once
again for more questionings and public hearings***. Following the same model as in the House,
if it can pass through the subcommittee and committee, it is produced for the larger Senate. If it

The Place Of The Room
Well, it seemed his tomorrows had run out. Nothing to do now but make the best of the
situation, while hoping that Lily was still inside the occupied room. Lily... yes, that was
definitely a complication. The boy would have no choice but to empty the room before he d be
able to search for the diadem. That would leave her exposed, however briefly, with no guarantee
that she d be able to enter the room again. What would she do? Duck into one of the passages,
return to the Headmaster s quarters, perhaps? The latter would be the safest option, of course,
but would she take it? True, she d made him a promise, but he knew her too well to take much
comfort in it. This was Lily, after all when had she ever been content to sit idly by when danger
was about? Severus shook his head, making another attempt to enter the room. He focused all his
energy on the place he wished to access, grunting in frustration when the wall remained blank.
Fuck. He couldn t stand out here all night. Granted, The Dark Lord hadn t attempted to summon

time. What the hell am I supposed to do? he said aloud, only to gasp as a small object brushed
against his leg. Charity. In the midst of all the upheaval, he d forgotten the bloody cat. How was

Cause And Effect Of Bullying
The Effects of Bullying
Nerd, ugly, stupid, creep, loser: these are just a few of the hurtful words that school bullies and
other students direct towards their excluded, vulnerable peers in schools around the U.S. Bullying
is a familiar word often heard in schools, workplaces and now on the internet. It can occur in the
form of physical, mental or emotional abuse. In general, bullying has been perceived as aggressive
behavior that is intentional, harassment, and an imbalance of power with the result of inflicting
pain or discomfort on others ( Bullying ). Thousands of children in the United States are
affected every day by bullying. This kind of behavior is detrimental to all involved and should
not be allowed in any school system as it can quickly affect an individual beyond anyone s
imagination. In some cases, bullying can undermine the self esteem of the victims which can force
them to take extreme measures dangerous to them and others. The experience of school bullying
can end up causing enduring damage to both victims and bullies. The effects of school bullying
include decreased academic achievement, depression and anxiety and high risk of self destructive
behaviors. According to a study done by Gary Ladd, a psychology professor at Arizona State
University, 24 percent of children in the study suffered chronic bullying throughout their school
years, which was related to lower academic performance and less engagement in school. Decreased

Comparing Storm On The Island And The Prelude
Introduction:
Both Seamus Heaney and William Wordsworth convey the power of nature through their poems
Storm on the Island and Extract from, The Prelude . A key point of comparison between these two
poems is that they both present nature as wielding power over man... Nature is presented as
powerful or even more powerful than man itself:
Heaney presents nature to be more powerful than the speaker and the rest of the island s
residents. This is done through Heaney s use of military language. This choice of semantic field
gives us the sense that man and nature are at opposition with one another and by the harsh military
verbs it seems safe to assume that the weather is the dominant force of the two. Arguably, the use
of an oxymoron reaffirms this struggle. To us, the oxymoron does not make sense but it is possible
that the irregularity is intended to reflect the unfair battle that the islanders face. This may show us
that the people on the island have made sense of what goes on even though we struggle to. Again,
this demonstrates the power of nature by making the weather appear to be unable to be matched by
man. Nature is presented as powerful or even more powerful than ... Show more content on

Wordsworth uses simple language in complex sentences to show how he is so in awe of nature
that he struggles to find the words to justify what he is seeing. This is most true following the
sighting of the huge peak . The regression in adjectives and shows us how nature has transformed
Wordsworth s language therefore being presented as powerful for doing so. Perhaps, the
metaphorical meaning of the poem that as humans there are forces greater than us that many, in
our proud, self centred state of mind, do not realise is being revealed to Wordsworth and causing
not only a change in language but in his views of life. This powerful meaning most certainly
attributes power to nature. There is a sense of being within a

This movie is touching and thought provoking at the same time. I cared about Theodore and
Samantha s relationship and I gradually became more tolerant and supportive of their love.
Regarding the cast, Joaquin Phoenix amazingly impersonates the character of a weird, but
loveable man. In addition, Scarlett Johansson played very well with her voice and although she
was not present physically on screen, she still managed to be a character of full value. The
soundtrack and the atmosphere of the movie beautifully reflect the emotions of the lovers. The
song that stands out the most is a piano composition, called the Photograph. I also liked that the
director did not try to over romanticize the story, every scene was credible in a sense, although
some of them seemed pointless and made the movie unnecessarily long. Her may not be
everyone s cup of tea, but it undoubtedly makes people feel something, whether it is discomfort,
loneliness or a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Moreover, it triggers self assessment and makes us
think differently about people and love. I would recommend this movie for those who are open to
new ideas and want to be part of an interesting love

The Pros And Cons Of Sin In Christianity
Sin is a religious interpretation of the morals of society, claiming immoral things to be a
violation of a higher law; in Christianity s case, God s Law. All religions, since they were first
created, have in some way, discussed sin. Sin is a method of creating the moods and motivations
for acting justly in society. People are encouraged to refrain from doing something because it is a
sin. Sin is thought to be universally understood and believed by all followers of a religion.
However, there is debate over whether sin is truly universal. Sin in Christianityis widely interpreted
with many different views on what is sinful. Within Christianity, acts deemed as sinful vary
depending on denominations, societal standards, and the situation in which it happens.
Across Christianity there is variation about what is considered sinful. Different denominations
interpret and teach the Bible in different ways. One example is homosexuality. Some Christian
denominations consider homosexuality to be a sin while others do not. The Primitive Baptist
denomination, which includes the Westboro Baptist Church, is intensely conservative when it
comes to viewing homosexuality as a sin . The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is one of
the more welcoming Christian denominations to the LGBTQ community, who celebrate same sex
marriages, so therefore do not view homosexuality as a sin . There are many other denominations
who fall between declaring homosexuality as sinful and not. Calvin College,

Comparing Fortune In Hamlet And The Prince
Hamlet, written by William Shakespeare, is a play about a prince who needs to get revenge for the
murder of his father. The Prince, written by NiccolГІ Machiavelli, is a treatise on how to take and
hold on to political power. Both Hamlet and The Prince contain the concept of fortune as a common
theme throughout each work. Fortune is talked about in similar ways in both, including how
fortune is a woman, how much control fortune has over people, and how fortune is like water.
Fortune is associated with the goddess Fortuna from Roman mythology in both Hamletand The

Again, Fortune is called a strumpet, as First Player pleads with all the other gods to destroy her

in The Prince:
My opinion on the matter is this: it s better to be impulsive than cautious; fortune is female and if
you want to stay on top of her you have to slap and thrust. (Machiavelli 136 137)
Machiavelli is using sex as a metaphor to say that to subdue Fortune, one must be impulsive and
assert their dominance over her. Hamlet believes he leaves too much up to fortune because he
thinks too much without taking enough action. In his to be or not to be soliloquy, he reflects on
how he overthinks things, saying conscience does make cowards of us all . Hamlet wishes he

Restaurant Business Report
Business report Executive summary As the world gets intricate and complex courtesy of new trends
and social waves, no sector of life seems to be left behind. The hospitality industry is faced with one
of the greatest challenges ever and all attention and focus is certainly geared toward addressing
customer satisfaction. However, without efficient information systems and proper technological
applications, the whole efforts are always insufficient or wasted. The need to upgrade systems and
improve operations is the main strategic objective of most restaurant executives. This report is
therefore an analysis of the need to apply the modern information systems in the industry and
embrace the growing usage of the point of sale system (POS) that has become the industry norm
across the world. In a way, most hoteliers and restaurant owners are confronted with unrelenting
demand to radically transform operations or to exit the market. To avoid the latter, implementation
is inevitable. Introduction In an increasingly competitive global environment, where the search for
opportunities dominates all other undertakings, where resources are less than those who seek them,
it becomes important to find ways and means of sailing through. Businesses across the world are
increasingly responding to these challenges by applying information systems to enhance
performance and efficiency in the operations. The major objective lies in producing high quality

Witchcraft Trials And The Salem Witch Trials
The Salem witchcraft trials took place in colonial Massachusetts between February 1692 and
May 1693. The news of witches began to spread in Salem when a group of young girls gathered
together in the kitchen of the Reverend Samuel Parris with his Indian slave named Tituba to
experiment with witchcraft. After these young girls began to portray unusual behavior the village
doctor came to the scene and diagnosed the girls to be possessed by the devil. The news of the
presence of witches spread throughout Salem like a craze and lead to a series of accusations and
turmoil.
The Salem witchcraft trials were a collection of trials, hearings, accusations, imprisonments, and
executions that sought to get rid of the influence of witchcraft from the Salem population. The vast
majority of people who were accused of being witches were mostly women. These accusations had
more to do with the social status of these women rather than to seek to understand them. The first
hanging began with the death of Bridget Bishop in June and continued until September. The Salem
witchcraft trials included an example of scapegoating because Puritans feared that the devil was
continuously looking for ways to test their faith.
Today the term witch has been used in films, books, and in pop culture. In the seventieth century,
an example of a person who was considered a witch was generally someone who appeared to be
involved with the devil by portraying unexplainable behavior. In Salem, the Puritans

because this ultimately eliminates the death rate of train related accidents. Although, the rise of
interstate highways and commercials airlines decreased the need for the High Line. Meat and

Paradise Lost Vs Beowulf
In all epics, there exists a hero that possesses specific traits and core values to follow the culture
of a time period. Most works show hero figures looking up to some type of higher authority figure
for guidance. Both Beowulf and Paradise Lost reference Christianity and the idea of depending on
God, however, the basis of heroism is fundamentally different in each story. Beowulfis an Anglo
Saxon epic whereas Paradise Lost is a completely Christian epic poem. Both works differ in their
interpretations of morals and conflict resolution. Beowulf upholds all of the traits required of
traditional epic heroes: wisdom, strength, courage, honor, honesty, and strong leadership. He
illustrates his courage and willingness to fight by traveling to the

Free Throws
In the beginning, we often see tasks as not having meaning or being a waste of our time. We
won t realize that these tasks will help us later in life in valuable moments in our life. I
remember as a young child learning the ropes of how to play my favorite sport basketball. My
father and I would drill around, and i d learn to shoot by B.E.E.F (Balance, eyes, elbows in, and
follow through), but one tasked seemed to be unimportant to me and that was free throws. I
couldn t understand why we had to practice free throws so often and so much. I didn t learn until
later in life how important it was to have the skill of shooting free throws. While I was young free
throws never seemed to be as important as they are today to me, when i was young this... Show

Playing against the Buffalo Bison we the freshman Warriors had not played well. Throughout
the game shots had not dropped for us and we struggled in a close game. None the less, we
continued to play physical on both ends of the court. Fouls were called in bunches on both ends
of the court, on both us and the Bison. The difference in us the Warriors and the Bison was that
was shot free throws exceptionally well compared to the Bison. In the end, the game ended with
us the Warriors only have three players on the court, while the Bison had five players left. Even
down players we had gained a lead where there was no way we could lose. During this game i shot
twelve free throws and only missed one, i shot at over ninety percent helping lead our team to a
victory. This is when i realized how important free throws are to a game of basketball. The amount
of free throws you shot and make is important to any team looking for a win against any
opponent. Not till i had experience the meaning of free throws first hand i had no reason to
practice them. My father forced me to shoot them and i am thankful now, while back then they
just annoyed me. This task of shooting one hundred free throws a night seemed to be useless at a
young age, until i had was but in a position where my task lead us to victory. The task i learned
that day seemed to have no meaning to me until i had grown up.

Geography Of Strabo
The Geography of Strabo (50 B.C. 21 A.D.) is another source of the Arsacids history within which
Strabo mentions matters of Arsacids kingdom and their reigns in the fifteenth and sixteenth books
(Selections from Strabo) (Tozer 1893, 41). Also, Strabo in his writings had used the book of
Parthica which was written by Apollodorus ( is currently unavailable) (Strabo 1960 1969, 5). The
information furnished by Plutarch in his Lives especially those of Crassus and Antony, was based
on the main sources. He presented his book as an important description of Roman battles,
especially, the battle of Carrhae. This information provides the most extensively connected
narratives on Arsacid history (Plutarch 1841, 30). In addition to these three

The Characteristics Of Being An Honorable And Honest...
I believe that to accomplish something great in life is what most people strive to reach in their
lives. Having the courage to be an honorable and honest person is an amazing quality to have.
You may ask why is it so hard to be honest, well I feel it takes courage and honorability to stand
alone and fight for what is right. Believing and fighting for what is right for me is very courageous
and for many people that is very frightening and they sometimes prefer to stay quiet and not do
anything.
In the poem, Beowulf, he was a brave warrior, a hero to the people. His honorability was so great
he had faith and believed in God. Beowulf saved the people from the monstrous Grendel when he
was terrorizing the town. I think honor is one of the characteristics that Beowulf has. An honorable
person is one who is deserving of respect. (Lynne Bratcher)It is very hard to be honorable and
honest in a world of competition, where most everyone lies and betrays each other. It takes a very
strong person, not physically but mentally and emotionally as well to be honest and honorable.
Having faith and wanting to do good by God are what makes us do the right things. Speaking the
truth when everyone else disagrees, it can sometimes be very frightening and hard for us to do
because of the fear of being rejected by others. Being loyal and helping others without accepting
nothing back in return makes us honorable.
Beowulf was a brave and courageous warrior, defeating three terrifying monsters with his bare
hands.Walking into the layer of the monster had to be very terrifying but, Beowulf courageously
went into it and behead Grendel s mother. (Heaney)Fearless and daring can guide you to be
courageous and to move in a dangerous situation. What makes a person so brave and
courageous? Was is because he was big and extremely strong? Being courageous does not mean
you have to be strong, but having heart. Moving in the face of danger. (Martha
Pasternak)Having passion about what is being done, even if it means it would be dangerous and
even fatal. There are many brave and courageous people out there in today s society. A firefighter
that goes into a burning building to save a person or a police officer that puts his or her life in the

Compare And Contrast The Concentration Of Hydrochloric...
Considering the data and evidence collected from both primary, secondary and additional sources, I
can conclude that my hypothesis, which suggests that the higher the food colouring concentration,
the steeper the gradient of diffusion reaction, is valid. To support my hypothesis I will refer to my
primary, secondary and additional evidence to explain my conclusions in depth.
Firstly, if we consider the data collected in tables from my primary and secondary evidence, we
can see that the values of the range of diffusion reaction are higher when the concentration of food
colouring dye used is higher in percentage. Specifically, when the concentration is at 0%, there is
no diffusion reaction at all. In contrast, as we increase the percentage of food dye used by a
specific set value (+20% each time) the distance (radius or diameter) of food dye formed from
diffusion around the well becomes steeper. For example, 20% of food dye concentration diffused
presents the lowest means: 12.3mm (primary data) and 2.3mm (secondary data, where the radius
has been measured instead of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Agar is remarkably related. To be specific, diffusion is a process in which substances move down
a concentration gradient, from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration to
reach the equilibrium. When a well is filled with a specific food dye, the well becomes the area of
high concentration. It eventually diffuses through agar, (agar being the region having no
concentration of food dye particles) at a certain rate, depending on the concentration of the food
dye to reach the equilibrium. When doing my practical and collecting data, food dye with higher
concentration diffused through agar had a bigger gradient of diffusion(bigger area around the
wells), which presents higher values exactly as I predicted in my

The Hollywood Sign Analysis
The Hollywood sign: fantasy and reality of an American icon by Leo Braudy and Videoland:
movie culture at the American video store by Daniel Herbert are two scholarly works that analyze
the importance of place within various aspects of the entertainment industry. In The Hollywood
Sign, Braudy provides a comprehensive history and analysis of the famous Hollywood Signand
successfully describes both the physical and metaphorical significance of the icon. Through use
of factual information, chronologically presented history, and all inclusive analysis, Braudy
shows us that the unapproachable but highly visible nature of the sign has created a sense of
prestige and glamour in the minds of those who seek it out, and this has continually allowed
business people to take advantage of those who wish to engage with it. Videoland uses a similar
method of analysis to posit ideas about the humble video store; the work argues that its past
existence as a physical place facilitated interaction between browsers and clerks, while also
maintaining a metaphorical significance in that its store geography shaped the browser s
perception of movies. While the Hollywood Sign exists as one place that can be interpreted in
various ways, video stores exist (or used too) as many places whose layout crafts an experience for
the consumer, leaving no room for interpretation. In their respective works, Braudy argues that the
metaphorical idea of the Hollywood sign contributed to the physical development of

Billy Joel is one of the best selling solo artists of all time in the United States. Amongst his most
popular songs are Piano Man, We Didn t Start the Fire and She s Always a Woman, all with good

The musical legend was born William Martin Joel on May 9, 1949 to Howard and Rosalind Joel.
He grew up in the suburb of Hicksville, New York, in a rather musical home. His father was a
classically trained pianist while his mother would sing along to songs. Billy tried his luck with
the piano too, pounding on the keys at a very young age until his mother took him to take piano

could have been considered a professional by the time he was a teenager.
Billy Joel joined a total of 3 bands before becoming a solo artist. The first group he joined was
called the Echoes, a cover band that quickly gained popularity and would later be known as the
Lost Souls. While enjoying the success of his first band, Billy Joel saw the Beatles iconic

Bacon Rebellion Research Paper
Bacon Rebellion In 1676 a group of poor farmers rebelled against the government and William
Berkley a royal governor in Jamestown Virginia. Poor colonists had to settle outside of the
English Colony and into the frontier where the Natives had control. When indentured servants
were set free they also had nowhere to live except for the land on the frontier and use that land to
start farms and their lives. This created a problem because the poor farmers that were settling in
the frontier were being attacked by the Natives because there was no protection passed Jamestown
and it was dangerous because the Natives had control over all that land. The farmers were killing

Burgesses know they need some protection or to kill and push the Natives away. Berkley
proposed to build defensive forts around the frontier but this was not helpful because the
farmers believed it was just another excuse to raise the taxes and it was an unnecessary expense.
They took the problem into their own hands After their demands were declined of forcing the
Natives out of the area, and the Rebellion began when Bacon and his men killed men, women,
and even kids at a village but he was captured by Jamestown. He was set free soon after to not

Effectiveness of Fiscal Policy as a Stabilization Tool
The Effectiveness of Fiscal Policy as Stabilization Policy

I. Introduction
Perspectives among economists on the usefulness of fiscal policy as a device for macroeconomic
management have moved back and forth over the years. Belief in the active use of the tools of
fiscal policy may have reached a relative peak sometime during the 1960s or early 1970s, and
practice followed theory. In the United States, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, one might wish to announce that the ITC would be eliminated in the future, to spur
investment today, but once the future arrived, and today s investment had already taken place,

it might no longer be optimal to repeal the credit. Hence, in addition to the policy lags that made the
implementation of policy difficult, one was confronted with two major additional obstacles: first, to
figure out how to evaluate potential policies and, second, to recognize that agents react not to
policies that are announced, but to policies that are expected. To these three hurdles, policy lags,
model instability, and dynamic inconsistency, the literature added several others. There was, of
course, the problem that estimates of behavioral responses to fiscal policy were just that estimates
of parameters, not the parameters themselves. Even with a stable model, i.e., one based on
exogenous taste and technology parameters, uncertainty about model parameters militated against
activism, as shown by Brainard (1967). Moreover, determining the right behavioral model is a
difficult task, given that all models involve simplifying assumptions, and some models of
household and firm decisions suggested that fiscal policy changes would be ineffective. For
example, there has been a long debate in the investment literature about the importance of the user
cost of capital as a determinant of investment, relating to such

Hitler seized this opportunity to claim that the democratic system had failed the German people

Green Computing And The Improvement Of Computing
the term green computing refers to the improvement of computing practices in a way that is
environmentally friendly. green computing started in1992 with the introduction of the Energy Star
program. This program awarded computer products that used a minimum energy and still operate at
maximizing efficiency.
Green computing Practices such as how you use, dispose and manufacture computers and computer
technologies are only becoming more relevant. As big companies are looking to keep their energy
usage and costs as low as possible investing and creating new technologies in green computing can
help make computers run more energy efficiently which in turn reduces environmental impact and
creates lower energy costs.

One way is to use a cache to place critical memory access it quickly and easily. As technology
evolves processors have improved and become even faster. The latency is greatly decreased but
no matter how fast a given processor can function, it is still limited to the rate of transfer allowed
by the bottleneck. In most cases, a faster processor only means that it will spend more time idling
and will not be fully utilised.
In a compiled implementation, the original program is translated or compiled into native machine
instructions. These instructions are then executed by the hardware directly.
In an interpreted implementation, the original program is translated into bytecode. Which is a set
of instruction designed specifically for an interpreter program. This program then examines the
bytecode and executes the instructions that are called.
In Java implementation, there are two phases both a compilation and interpretation stage. These are
the compilation stage and the interpretation stage.
In the Compilation stage, a just in time compiler (a JIT) compiles the Java source code and

In the Interpretation stage the Java interpreter also known as the Java virtual machine (JVM)

The Inequality Of Social Classes
America is referred to as a molting pot, which means that it has a variety of ethnic cultures and
backgrounds that are unified. Though America may be diverse, there is still a huge factor that
separates people and prevents those from becoming an equal. That discrepancy is the iniquity in
social classes. On September of 2011, Matt Wuerker a political cartoonist for Politico, published
Kitchen Tables that highlighted the injustice in social classes. It is a cartoon that consist of three
different drawings of kitchen tables that Americans sit around: a luxurious upper class, an average
middle class, and a deprived underclass. Wuerker used unequal proportion between each of the
drawings size to represent the iniquity within social classes. He not only gave the upper class
half of the paper, but he also labeled it the top 1% . Wuerker even used colors that symbolized
the meaning of the political cartoon. The upper class has an elegant golden table, with a purple
shadow casting underneath it. The middle class has a green table, with a dirt green background.
The underclass has a rusty bucket that is flipped upside down for a table, with a somber blue
background. Wuerker used wit to display a serious message that is effecting people throughout
America. Matt Wuerker used numerous ways that exemplifies the message he is trying to get
across, and each of those make it an effective political cartoon for the minority of the Americans
that can relate to it. It is natural for humans

Approaches to and Types of Genre
Genre is known to change discourse by the format the information is presented to the audience
(Varela, 2008). It is also a category of composition that is characterized by a particular style, form
or content as dictate by Webster Third Dictionary. However Trosborg (n.d) stated that for the past
decade, genreidentification, classification and description have been scholarly concern. Certain
scholars dictate that genre is defined primarily around its basic external criteria such as journals and
newspaperdiscourse while other scholars stand on the opinion that genre can be classify by its
communicative purpose, linguistic content and form of role its play in the discourse made
(Trosborg, n.d).
One of the scholar Swales (1990) stand firmly that the defining criterion for genre is the socio
rhetorical context, the categories defined by the community and communicative purpose. Therefore
there is certain approaches of a genre to be effetively delivered to the audience after taking into
account to what dictate an effective genre.
In this part of the essay, there will be discussion on how the commonly used approach of genre is
utilize for which purpose of discourse. They are, typography, oral, and iconography approach. All
of these approaches of genre usage will be discussed in detail in this section of the essay.

talking to Hannah and she says Sometimes I like pretending that I m somebody else, haven t you

makes the audience believe that Alison believed it was normal to take the place of another.
The social identity theory is a theory developed by Henry Tajfel, in which Tajfel believes that
who we are socially determines how many positive feelings we have towards ourselves.
Basically, if we like where we stand socially, then we will like who we are and display happiness.
In this theory, Tajfel labels the in group and the out group and says that we will always compare
our in group to another s out group. By comparing these groups, we develop a better personal
view on ourselves (King, 2009). A big factor of the social identity theory is that the groups will
tend to critique the differences of the groups, and overlook the similarities. A modern day example
of the social identity theory would be your everyday high school cheerleaders versus band
members. The cheerleaders think of themselves as the queen bees of the school,

The American Civil War Was A Death Filled Four Years
The American Civil War was a death filled four years. Many people died fighting for what they
believed. The north, who won the war, got what they wanted; the south was able to keep their
property with nearly no consequences for their actions. But one group of people who fought for
both sides got nothing for their blood left on the battle field. Both the Union army and the

Components Of Continuous Quality Improvement
Quality improvement has philosophical components by emphasizing satisfaction with the consumer
(patient, provider, and payer) and health outcomes by focusing on having a mission, values, and
objectives to measure performance and implementation (Sollecito Johnson, 2013, p. 11). In order to
create this, they review the whole system of service by gathering information from the system
operation and patient, so that one can understand the root cause of the information (Sollecito
Johnson, 2013, p. 12). Furthermore, quality improvement emphasizes wanting to find multiple
roots of causation, and seeks solutions that fix a multitude of functions, so that the process is
optimized (Sollecito Johnson, 2013, p. 12). Lastly, emphasizing continuous improvement and
analysis on systems that will allow the medical personnel to improve continually the quality of care
given (Sollecito Johnson, 2013, p. 12). In order to facilitate the philosophical components of
continuous quality improvement, a strong emphasis on structural components helps to facilitate
continuous quality by utilizing improvement teams that have been empowered to deal with existing
issues of the organization (Sollecito Johnson, 2013, p. 12). The process improvement team uses a
continuous quality improvement tool or tools, which are the following: flowcharts, cause and effect

understanding of where the Syrian healthcare system stood before the civil war, the toll of the
fighting and intentional targeting of medical personnel/infrastructure, ongoing humanitarian efforts,
and America s actions to date enable an informed evaluation of whether or not to use American
militaryforces in a humanitarian assistance role in Syria. This context allows for an examination of
the limitations of humanitarian aid, the advantages/disadvantages of plausible courses of action
involving the military and the threat of mission creep. Before evaluating the merits of available
courses of action the military can take to address Syria s medical crisis, it is important to identify
and understand the limitations of humanitarian assistance in general. Taylor Seybolt, Associate
Professor in International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh an expert on military and
humanitarian intervention, cites the following inherent limitations of humanitarian intervention: it

Even though it did not stay to be true, we can still say that women had more rights in Islam. This would not even be a thought in Christianity. • 4. Islamic State Of Iraq And Al Sham ( Isis ) What Are ISIS Intentions? This assignment is a qualitative study about Islamic State of Iraq and al Sham (ISIS). What it ISIS? Where does it come from? What are its intentions? These questions seem to be simple but can be misrepresenting. According to Schmitt, Major General Nagata, the Special Operations commander for the U.S. in the Middle East, admitted that that he had barely begun figuring out the Islamic State?s appeal. ?We have not defeated the idea,? he said. ?We do not even understand the idea.? In the past year, President Obama has referred to the Islamic State as ?not Islamic? and as al Qaeda?s second team statements that reflected confusion about the group, and may have contributed to significant strategic errors (Schmitt, 2014). Since summer of 2010, ISIS seized Mosul, Iraq and ruled an area larger than the United Kingdom. According to Wood, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi has been known as the leader, who delivered a Ramadan sermon to upgrade his resolution from hunted guerrilla to commander of all Muslims in summer 2014 (Wood, 2015). Baghdadi has spoken on camera only once, but he has sent online videos and encyclicals to supporters who have toiled mightily to make their project knowable. Amputated Limb Abstract Through previously conducted experiments, it has been shown that amputation results in a reduction of gray matter in areas in the motor cortex that represent the amputated limb. This study focuses on the changes in gray matter of amputees with differing intensities of phantom limb pain (PLP). To analyze two potential causes of transformation in the cortex, the changes of patient s brain structures with high chronic PLP are compared to patients who did not develop PLP or only mild PLP. • 6. Essay On Law Of Law Federal laws and policies are more than just lists of actions that come with jail time. It also includes legislation that endorses certain aspects and solves problems facing the country as a whole, as well as individual states*****. The process by which ideas become laws and policies is the journey of the legislative process. It is through this process that an examination of Senate bill 2517 , the Combat Terrorist Use of Social Media Act of 2016, how it is progressing though Congress, and its likelihood of becoming law can take place. The process through which bills become laws is long and somewhat convoluted. First, an idea is created. Anyone can come up an issue they believe needs to be resolved. Members of Congress, politicians,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If the Rules committee decides to allow the bill, it is debated on the House floor. Amendments may be added, sections edited, revised, or struck out altogether***. If the majority of the house votes in favor of the bill, it is sent to Senate where a similar process takes place. In Senate, a senator takes the bill and presents it, after which, if it is approved, it is sent to committee once again for more questionings and public hearings***. Following the same model as in the House, if it can pass through the subcommittee and committee, it is produced for the larger Senate. If it is called up by the floor majority leader, who decides whether or not to let it appear before the whole of the Senate, it will again be amended and edited until a vote takes place. In the case of a majority yes vote, the bill is sent back to the House. If the House disagrees with any part of the changes, the bill is then sent to the Conference committee. Lily... yes, that was definitely a complication. The boy would have no choice but to empty the room before he d be able to search for the diadem. That would leave her exposed, however briefly, with no guarantee that she d be able to enter the room again. What would she do? Duck into one of the passages, return to the Headmaster s quarters, perhaps? The latter would be the safest option, of course, but would she take it? True, she d made him a promise, but he knew her too well to take much comfort in it. This was Lily, after all when had she ever been content to sit idly by when danger was about? Cause And Effect Of Bullying The Effects of Bullying Nerd, ugly, stupid, creep, loser: these are just a few of the hurtful words that school bullies and other students direct towards their excluded, vulnerable peers in schools around the U.S. Bullying is a familiar word often heard in schools, workplaces and now on the internet. It can occur in the form of physical, mental or emotional abuse. In general, bullying has been perceived as aggressive behavior that is intentional, harassment, and an imbalance of power with the result of inflicting pain or discomfort on others ( Bullying ). Thousands of children in the United States are affected every day by bullying. This kind of behavior is detrimental to all involved and should not be allowed in any school system as it can quickly affect an individual beyond anyone s imagination. In some cases, bullying can undermine the self esteem of the victims which can force them to take extreme measures dangerous to them and others. The experience of school bullying can end up causing enduring damage to both victims and bullies. The effects of school bullying include decreased academic achievement, depression and anxiety and high risk of self destructive behaviors. According to a study done by Gary Ladd, a psychology professor at Arizona State University, 24 percent of children in the study suffered chronic bullying throughout their school years, which was related to lower academic performance and less engagement in school. • 9. Comparing Storm On The Island And The Prelude Introduction: Both Seamus Heaney and William Wordsworth convey the power of nature through their poems Storm on the Island and Extract from, The Prelude . A key point of comparison between these two poems is that they both present nature as wielding power over man... Nature is presented as powerful or even more powerful than man itself: Heaney presents nature to be more powerful than the speaker and the rest of the island s residents. This is done through Heaney s use of military language. This choice of semantic field gives us the sense that man and nature are at opposition with one another and by the harsh military verbs it seems safe to assume that the weather is the dominant force of the two. Arguably, the use of an oxymoron reaffirms this struggle. To us, the oxymoron does not make sense but it is possible that the irregularity is intended to reflect the unfair battle that the islanders face. This may show us that the people on the island have made sense of what goes on even though we struggle to. Again, this demonstrates the power of nature by making the weather appear to be unable to be matched by man. Nature is presented as powerful or even more powerful than ... Perhaps, the metaphorical meaning of the poem that as humans there are forces greater than us that many, in our proud, self centred state of mind, do not realise is being revealed to Wordsworth and causing not only a change in language but in his views of life. This powerful meaning most certainly attributes power to nature. There is a sense of being within a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In addition, Scarlett Johansson played very well with her voice and although she was not present physically on screen, she still managed to be a character of full value. The soundtrack and the atmosphere of the movie beautifully reflect the emotions of the lovers. The song that stands out the most is a piano composition, called the Photograph. The Pros And Cons Of Sin In Christianity Sin is a religious interpretation of the morals of society, claiming immoral things to be a violation of a higher law; in Christianity s case, God s Law. All religions, since they were first created, have in some way, discussed sin. Sin is a method of creating the moods and motivations for acting justly in society. People are encouraged to refrain from doing something because it is a sin. Sin is thought to be universally understood and believed by all followers of a religion. However, there is debate over whether sin is truly universal. Sin in Christianityis widely interpreted with many different views on what is sinful. Within Christianity, acts deemed as sinful vary depending on denominations, societal standards, and the situation in which it happens. Across Christianity there is variation about what is considered sinful. Different denominations interpret and teach the Bible in different ways. One example is homosexuality. Some Christian denominations consider homosexuality to be a sin while others do not. The Primitive Baptist denomination, which includes the Westboro Baptist Church, is intensely conservative when it comes to viewing homosexuality as a sin . The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is one of the more welcoming Christian denominations to the LGBTQ community, who celebrate same sex marriages, so therefore do not view homosexuality as a sin . The news of witches began to spread in Salem when a group of young girls gathered together in the kitchen of the Reverend Samuel Parris with his Indian slave named Tituba to experiment with witchcraft. After these young girls began to portray unusual behavior the village doctor came to the scene and diagnosed the girls to be possessed by the devil. The news of the presence of witches spread throughout Salem like a craze and lead to a series of accusations and turmoil. The Salem witchcraft trials were a collection of trials, hearings, accusations, imprisonments, and executions that sought to get rid of the influence of witchcraft from the Salem population. The vast majority of people who were accused of being witches were mostly women. These accusations had more to do with the social status of these women rather than to seek to understand them. The first hanging began with the death of Bridget Bishop in June and continued until September. The Salem witchcraft trials included an example of scapegoating because Puritans feared that the devil was continuously looking for ways to test their faith. • 25. The Characteristics Of Being An Honorable And Honest... I believe that to accomplish something great in life is what most people strive to reach in their lives. Having the courage to be an honorable and honest person is an amazing quality to have. You may ask why is it so hard to be honest, well I feel it takes courage and honorability to stand alone and fight for what is right. Believing and fighting for what is right for me is very courageous and for many people that is very frightening and they sometimes prefer to stay quiet and not do anything. In the poem, Beowulf, he was a brave warrior, a hero to the people. His honorability was so great he had faith and believed in God. Beowulf saved the people from the monstrous Grendel when he was terrorizing the town. I think honor is one of the characteristics that Beowulf has. An honorable person is one who is deserving of respect. (Lynne Bratcher)It is very hard to be honorable and honest in a world of competition, where most everyone lies and betrays each other. It takes a very strong person, not physically but mentally and emotionally as well to be honest and honorable. Having faith and wanting to do good by God are what makes us do the right things. Speaking the truth when everyone else disagrees, it can sometimes be very frightening and hard for us to do because of the fear of being rejected by others. Being loyal and helping others without accepting nothing back in return makes us honorable. Beowulf was a brave and courageous warrior, defeating three terrifying monsters with his bare hands.Walking into the layer of the monster had to be very terrifying but, Beowulf courageously went into it and behead Grendel s mother. (Heaney)Fearless and daring can guide you to be courageous and to move in a dangerous situation. What makes a person so brave and courageous? Was is because he was big and extremely strong? Being courageous does not mean you have to be strong, but having heart. Moving in the face of danger. Firstly, if we consider the data collected in tables from my primary and secondary evidence, we can see that the values of the range of diffusion reaction are higher when the concentration of food colouring dye used is higher in percentage. Specifically, when the concentration is at 0%, there is no diffusion reaction at all. The Hollywood Sign Analysis The Hollywood sign: fantasy and reality of an American icon by Leo Braudy and Videoland: movie culture at the American video store by Daniel Herbert are two scholarly works that analyze the importance of place within various aspects of the entertainment industry. In The Hollywood Sign, Braudy provides a comprehensive history and analysis of the famous Hollywood Signand successfully describes both the physical and metaphorical significance of the icon. Through use of factual information, chronologically presented history, and all inclusive analysis, Braudy shows us that the unapproachable but highly visible nature of the sign has created a sense of prestige and glamour in the minds of those who seek it out, and this has continually allowed business people to take advantage of those who wish to engage with it. Videoland uses a similar method of analysis to posit ideas about the humble video store; the work argues that its past existence as a physical place facilitated interaction between browsers and clerks, while also maintaining a metaphorical significance in that its store geography shaped the browser s perception of movies. While the Hollywood Sign exists as one place that can be interpreted in various ways, video stores exist (or used too) as many places whose layout crafts an experience for the consumer, leaving no room for interpretation. Poor colonists had to settle outside of the English Colony and into the frontier where the Natives had control. When indentured servants were set free they also had nowhere to live except for the land on the frontier and use that land to start farms and their lives. This created a problem because the poor farmers that were settling in the frontier were being attacked by the Natives because there was no protection passed Jamestown and it was dangerous because the Natives had control over all that land. I am grateful to my discussants, Takatoshi Ito and Chung Mo Koo, and other conference participants for comments on an earlier draft. I. Introduction Perspectives among economists on the usefulness of fiscal policy as a device for macroeconomic management have moved back and forth over the years. Belief in the active use of the tools of fiscal policy may have reached a relative peak sometime during the 1960s or early 1970s, and practice followed theory. In the United States, ... For example, one might wish to announce that the ITC would be eliminated in the future, to spur investment today, but once the future arrived, and today s investment had already taken place, 2 it might no longer be optimal to repeal the credit. Hence, in addition to the policy lags that made the implementation of policy difficult, one was confronted with two major additional obstacles: first, to figure out how to evaluate potential policies and, second, to recognize that agents react not to policies that are announced, but to policies that are expected. To these three hurdles, policy lags, model instability, and dynamic inconsistency, the literature added several others. There was, of course, the problem that estimates of behavioral responses to fiscal policy were just that estimates of parameters, not the parameters themselves. Even with a stable model, i.e., one based on exogenous taste and technology parameters, uncertainty about model parameters militated against activism, as shown by Brainard (1967). Moreover, determining the right behavioral model is a difficult task, given that all models involve simplifying assumptions, and some models of household and firm decisions suggested that fiscal policy changes would be ineffective. For example, there has been a long debate in the investment literature about the importance of the user cost of capital as a determinant of investment, relating to such ... Though America may be diverse, there is still a huge factor that separates people and prevents those from becoming an equal. That discrepancy is the iniquity in social classes. It is a cartoon that consist of three different drawings of kitchen tables that Americans sit around: a luxurious upper class, an average middle class, and a deprived underclass. Wuerker used unequal proportion between each of the drawings size to represent the iniquity within social classes. He not only gave the upper class half of the paper, but he also labeled it the top 1% . Wuerker even used colors that symbolized the meaning of the political cartoon. The upper class has an elegant golden table, with a purple shadow casting underneath it. The middle class has a green table, with a dirt green background. The underclass has a rusty bucket that is flipped upside down for a table, with a somber blue background. Wuerker used wit to display a serious message that is effecting people throughout America. When Alison says this to Hannah, she says it in a tone of voice that makes the audience believe that Alison believed it was normal to take the place of another. The social identity theory is a theory developed by Henry Tajfel, in which Tajfel believes that who we are socially determines how many positive feelings we have towards ourselves. Basically, if we like where we stand socially, then we will like who we are and display happiness. In this theory, Tajfel labels the in group and the out group and says that we will always compare our in group to another s out group. By comparing these groups, we develop a better personal view on ourselves (King, 2009). A big factor of the social identity theory is that the groups will tend to critique the differences of the groups, and overlook the similarities. ARGUMENT AGAINST MILITARY INTERVENTION FOR HUMANITARIAN RELIEF An understanding of where the Syrian healthcare system stood before the civil war, the toll of the fighting and intentional targeting of medical personnel/infrastructure, ongoing humanitarian efforts, and America s actions to date enable an informed evaluation of whether or not to use American militaryforces in a humanitarian assistance role in Syria. This context allows for an examination of the limitations of humanitarian aid, the advantages/disadvantages of plausible courses of action involving the military and the threat of mission creep. Before evaluating the merits of available courses of action the military can take to address Syria s medical crisis, it is important to identify and understand the limitations of humanitarian assistance in general.
