The Uniform Resource Locator ( Url ) Essay
These days if we see any business whether it is a small or a big but all of them should have online
existence. And these data online can be stored through a web site or a web page. The user wishing
to access this information will then search for it, but there are billions of web sites and web pages.
How will one be able to search for the specific web page or website? So there should be a specific
name, number or name tag through which we can differentiate all websites and web pages. The
URL plays the same role as the name or identity of a web page or website. Basically a URL is one
type of uniform resource identifier (URI); the generic term for all types of names and address that
refers to objects on the World Wide Web
. There is a specific format of URL. We can also say URL
as a web address. The uniform resource locator (URL) was developed by Tim Berners Lee in
1994 and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) URI working group. The URL format is
specified in RFC 1738 Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Every domain name has a suffix that
indicates which top level domain (TLD) it belongs to. There are only a limited number of such
domains. For example: .com, .net, .gov, .edu, .org etc. because the internet is based on IP
address, not domain names, every web server requires a Domain Name System (DNS) server to
translate domain names into IP address. A domain name is the address of your web site. This is
what is entered by your users who wants to see your web page or

Dental Braces Essay
Dental braces were originally created to help with the position of teeth in regards to a person s
bite, as well as to straighten the teeth. Braces can be helpful in correcting underbites, malocclusions,
overbites, open bites, deep bites, cross bites, crooked teeth, as well as other issues with the teethand
jaw. As an alternative to the unsightliness and discomfort that braces can inflict, Zia Chishti and
Kelsey Wirth founded Invisalign in 1997, a system of clear aligners to adjust teeth. With this
somewhat recent invention and alternative treatment technique, controversy has sparked between
dentists and orthodontists as to whether or not Invisalign is ideal for all patients, is sustainable, and
is a lasting treatment method in comparison to fixed dental appliances. Buschang, Shaw, Ross,
Crosby and Campbell claim in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Practicing dentists and orthodontists must take into account the performance of each method,
treatment retention, and treatment time period when determining which treatment method is ideal
for their patients. Though research has been conducted along with observations, there is a
widespread discrepancy in collected data supporting each treatment method in favor of another.
Research from Djeu, Shelton and Maganzini (2004) found that overall prost retention rates of
traditional braces had a higher passing rate than that of the invisalign group as observed using the
American Board of Orthodontics model. Conversely, research from Li, Wang and Zhang (2015)
found that there was no statistical differences between invisalign and braces results, when
observing that both methods received passing grades based on the ABO model. An understanding
for the need of further research to draw a solid conclusion on the overall more effective treatment
method is

Compare And Contrast Ming And Qing Dynasty
I did the Ming and Qing Dynasty because I found this more interesting than any other subject. Their
Advancements during the their lifetime was very interesting! The Ming Dynasty was the first to
happen, than it was the Qing Dynasty. These two Dynasties brought much history to our world.
These Dynasties took place in China, in the 15th 16th century. There were many new civilizations
that were created during this time period, especially the world s biggest wooden city The
Forbidden City. In this time period there was new amazing advancements in Architecture and
Literature. China is known for having the greatest architecture in the world because the enjoyed
every moment of their hard beautiful work. China Had a really strong army that brought them a lot
of success in their time period. China s population was getting bigger by the day, they had much

powerful leaders that would bring them much success in battle or just economically.
The Qing Dynasty was also a very successful time period like the advancing technology but they
started to have major issues that started to tear their economy down. One of the biggest things
they did in this time period is they were the first to map the whole expanse of a river with the use
of modern technology. The Qing was one of the last Dynasties there ever was in the world, they
accomplished many new things with their new advancements. Towards the end of the Qing

Drugs And Drug Addictions
Thousands of families across the United States deal with a child or family member struggling
with drug addiction; Toledo, Ohio is one of the top cities facing a heroin epidemic. Many people
try to avoid the fact that this epidemic is hitting Toledo as hard as it is. Unfortunately, avoiding this
situation will only allow it to grow and more people will suffer from addictionbecause they feel
there is no way out. Craig Thomas from WTOL 11 reported that the drug is so powerful that
people will do anything to get money to get drugs. Policesay heroinis causing crime that hits
innocent victims. The route from Detroit, Michigan to Toledo, Ohio is famously called Heroin
Highway because of how many drugs are being transported using that route. If no changes are
made in the city, more drug dealers will gain seniority throughout the city and more lives will be
taken. The only solutions to help this problem are to hire more law enforcement, give the drug
dealers a longer sentence when arrested for the act of dispersing a lethal drug and the best
solution would be to open more detox/ treatment centers for the addicts who are ready to receive
help. One solution to fend off the heroin epidemic is to hire more law enforcement. By hiring
more police officers it would put more men and women on the streets observing more suspicious
locations or common drug areas in Toledo. Which would then help arrest more drug dealers in the
area. By taking more dealers off the streets, it makes it

Election Promises In The United States
Campaigns are a smart s individual s game, whether you rise to the top or fall behind the
spotlight. The game of thrones where politicians bring out the best they can offer to show
America the fire of being a true leader. What tends to be the common views of citizens regarding
candidate s election promises? Do they care about analyzing the candidate s arguments and policy
proposals? Every person believes that political candidates are inclined to make hypothetical
promises to win the hearts of citizens and abandon them as soon as they reach their office (Klein,

Many citizens believe that presidential promises fall into two categories. Either they are to
theoretical and fall short of the expectation or the bills don t get passed through Congress.
According to Huffpost, many presidents in the past thirty years have shown low signs of their
promises becoming existent (Alden, 4). Presidents such as Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush
believed in decreasing tax rates on citizens to help increase job availability. Their detailed plans
and strategies passed through Congress successfully but suffered a great deal of negative impact
as they experienced undesired results. Even though both Clinton and Bush were very successful
in achieving main goals by making bills pass into laws, they didn t ultimately make good
outcomes out of their promises. Under Reagan s presidency, unemployment escalated to 10.8
percent, price went across the roof that caused the federal deficit to reach 115.4 billion dollars at
the end of his presidency (Alden, 4). Even though President Reagan pledged to increase
employment proportions and cut back on federal deficit, this doesn t seem to be the case at the end

Paris Opera Ballet Research Paper
A Brief History of the Paris Opera Ballet
It is during the 16th century that the French started ascertaining themselves using the art of ballet.
The early ballet dancing was mainly done by dignified dancers who used to entertain the royalty in
the main hall where other spectators would watch through the sides of the galleries. The ballet
dancing was majorly designed for the entertainment of the aristocracy and the high and rich
people in Paris. In the year 1661 Louis XIV founded the Academie Royale de Danse which is
presently known as the Paris Opera Ballet (Fisher, 2003, p. 146). In the early times of ballet
dancing all the dancers were men, and women roles were played by men wearing masks. It was

Jersualem by William Blake Essay
Jersualem by William Blake Of the true masterpieces in the English language, one of the most
metaphysically challenging and eternally relevant is William Blake s Jerusalem. It took Blake four
thousand lines etched onto one hundred plates to put his reinterpretation of the prophetic books of
the Bible into an English context. The poem shows not only Blake s new understanding of the Old
Testament gained from his recent learning of the Hebrew language, but his freedom from the
Miltonic tradition. In the preface to Jerusalem Blake writes that it is a, more consolidated extended

Awake! awake O sleeper of the land of shadows, wake! expand!(4:6 ) Here is the initial call, the call
to Albion, which is Israel, that has been superimposed on England. For as we see later, All is Eternal
Death unless you can weave a chaste/ Body over an unchaste Mind!(21:11) He needs England to
feel the way he feels, to see not just the trees in the forest but the color of each of those trees, and
which have sparrows living in them. For Blake, life is Eternal Death, and only in the
imagination can there be refuge. Thus the first contradiction appears; the idea that one must
awaken not the physical self, but the Los within. Awake, but on the inside, keep your temporal
self asleep it does too much damage when arisen. For no immortal hand or eye can weave a
chaste body over any mind. An image forms here of Blake resting his hands ever so on gently the

different than Milton s England was. Enter now into Jerusalem s second chapter,

Tan Two Kinds
In Amy Tan s Two Kinds Jin Mei mother had dreams as she was coming to America. My mother
believed you could be anything you wanted to be in America. You could open restaurant. You
could work for the government and get good retirement. You could buy a house with almost no
money down. You could become rich. You could become instantly famous (Tan 377). She is not
alone. There are many people who come to America to make all these dreams come true. They all
come with their children with the hope of finding a better life, to get away from the insecurities in
their countries. However, parents who immigrate to America can put too much pressure on their
children to fulfil the parents dream, and by putting too much pressure on their children it leads the
children to live a limited life with less choices.
This story is about a mother and daughter who came to America to find a better life. They moved
from china. In the story the mother wants to turn her daughter into a prodigy so she can be

America s Military Presence Is Necessary Overseas
The protection of citizens lives, foreign or domestic, is a critical necessity. As a result, the military
is the most important organization in a country. In America, for instance, $598 billion is spent each
year on the military ( Federal ). Because this is such an expensive, important, and dangerous topic, it
is often debated. One of the most common arguments is whether or not America s militarypresence
is necessary overseas. Due to its foreign benefits, positive domestic effects, and overall creation of
World Peace, the negative side of the argument is outweighed. America s military presence in
foreign countries is necessary. First of all, any war that could occur would most likely be kept in
foreign nations. On September 11, 2001,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If a hostile action did take place, it will also contain most acts of terrorism, violence, and even wars
in the foreign countries that are responsible for them. As a result, the citizens of America would
be able to live carefree lives. In addition to foreign affairs, a domestic military presence can be
used to support a foreign military presence. Many natural disasters occur each year in the United
States, and it is important to help those in need. One of the worst natural disasters in America s
history was Hurricane Katrina. By the time Katrina made landfall on August 29, 2005, America s
military was mobilizing for emergency response (Berthelot). The most important benefit of this is
the fact that soldiers save many lives from floodwaters, earthquake shaken regions, and even areas
scorched by wildfires. The military has equipment that regular citizens do not, and this is
demonstrated by the lowered casualty statistics. In addition, the military often helps to rebuild
structures and get the region back on its feet. As a result, individuals are able to continue to enjoy
their lives. The same effects of a domestic presence would occur as a result of a foreign presence.
Foreign citizens would be able to continue their lives even after disasters. America s military also
helps with domestic hostile occurrences. Recently, Ferguson consistently experienced riots and
violence due to the shooting of an African American. The

Middle East are uprising their rulers choices of their decisions and hoping to have a democracy.
There were many countries, which overthrew their government, like Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, and
Libya. There are still many countries, which is still ongoing to overthrow their government like
Syria and Bahrain. During the process with the conflict in the Middle East, there is a lot of
questions to answer, the causes, succesful uprising and ongoing uprisings, and how it affects the
United States. The main cause of the Arab Spring is mainly on the dissatisfaction of how the
government ruled the country. During the uprising, there had been many human rights violations,
unemployment, and political corruption. The tension between the Middle Eastern countries is that
there is a lack of government reform, which should be changed. The Arab springs are happening
frequently now in the Middle Eastern Countries, since the people are demanding for democracy.

Rasputin played a part in the fall of the royal family but he was not the main reason. The Tsar
had no one to support and protect his family due to not seeing to civilians needs. The overthrow
of the Tsarist government was the ending of the oppression and tyranny. Rasputin however did
manipulate his ability to influence government decisions. The Romanov Empire in Russia was a
dynasty that had been in power for over three hundred years and sadly ended with the last
Romanov family being murdered. Rasputin, although he was not royalty, he was close to the
family and had a hand in their downfall but was not the main reason for the downfall (Source J).

Positive Aspects Of Playing Basketball

are in 2nd grade you can start playing rec basketball. If you are good enough when you are in 2nd
grade to 6th grade you can be asked to playon a travel basketball team. This is where you parents
pay a lot of money to have you travel around and play with the best of the best. This is a really
good time, because you sometimes play on college courts which just make you dream of one
day playing college basketball and then maybe going into the NBA. I played on travel basketball,

Analysis Of The Poem The Open Boat
The Unidentified Tone in The Open Boat The tone most readers find in The Open Boat by
Stephen Crane is a person alone in the universe. That particular tone is the easiest to see when; a
group of four men are in a ten foot dinghy with nothing to their north, south, east, and west except
water around their position. The men seem to recognize that they are helpless in the face of nature.
Their lives could be lost at any moment by the most common of natural phenomena: a wave, a
current, the wind, a shark, or even simple starvation and exposure. The men are at the mercy of
mere chance. (The Open) With that specific thought out in the open, there is an adventure of
finding the other tones of the story. Luck, chance, and hints of despair are a few of the other tones
in this short story. The tone to be on the lookout for in The Open Boatis one of concern, hope and
will to survive. One feeling a person could feel by reading the story is being alone. The only
characters for most of the story are isolated in the middle of the ocean looking for rescuers, they
believe will come from the mainland. Throughout the years since Stephen Crane published The
Open Boat , people have implied that the story was based on his experience of, the Commodore
sinking off the coast of Florida. In his article he purposely left out certain details of their thirty
hours in an open boat because he prefer to tell the story at once, because from it would shine the
splendid manhood of Captain

Snowboarding is a great way to get outdoors, get some fresh air and get moving in the winter. It
works out most of all of the body s major muscles, especially the legs and core. Most
snowboarders use the big muscles in their legs, such as the quads, calves and hamstrings, to
guide the board over the snow. Snowboarders also use their calves and the muscles of their feet
and ankles to steer the board. Snowboarding requires good balance, so snowboarders develop
stronger core muscles. Snowboarders also tone their upper body as they use their arms for
balance. Snowboarding is an excellent aerobic workout that gets the heart rate up and increases
cardiovascular and respiratory endurance. It also burns a lot of calories and fat. The average
person can expect to burn between 250 and 630 calories per hour, depending on the difficulty of
the terrain. More difficult terrain forces your body to work harder to control the board.
Snowboarding requires rapid changes in pace and direction, and it requires you to pay attention to
the terrain over which you re traveling. As snowboarders become more aware of the terrain and
develop the ability to make quick changes in direction and pace, they experience increased
flexibility and enhanced focus and concentration. Snowboarding has combined fun, excitement,

Essay about The Sociological Framework of Harriet Martineau
The Sociological Framework of Harriet Martineau
Over the past twenty years, sociology has gone through a process of self evaluation, as field
researchers and observers express a wariness about the empty universalism of speculative systems
and look for ways in which to secure empirical foundations that give way to meaningful application
in a pluralistic, postmodern world. The survival of sociology as a critical theoretical discipline is a
concern expressed by many, such as contemporary social analyst George Ritzer, who are forging
new paths of application that represent a paradigm shift in this classical social legacy. In the
framework of classical sociological theory, numerous sources, including Ritzer, investigate this

By referring to works on classical sociological theory and other sources, one can only arrive at the
conclusion that Martineau provided a conceptual framework capable of providing an integrating
paradigm for the entire field of social psychological cultural relations upon which many modern
social theorists have been able to put forth theories that are attuned to postmodern realities, as well.
(Hutcheon 2 3). In the seminal work, Studies in History and Philosophy of Science, authors note the
birth of meaningful social science concurrent with Martineau s groundbreaking social research, as
they explore her attempts to move away from subjective authorship in order to devise objective
methods for the observation and representation of the social state (Cooper Murphy, p. 122).
Martineau, and her contemporaries such as George Ritzer, clearly have found the means to do this
through the interactionist approach.
As method researchers observe, for Martineau, and her contemporary Ritzer, aesthetic
considerations are as key to their method as much as scientific observation and representation.
Critics have considered both Society in America, Martineau s most widely known work which
attacks the reality/rhetoric issues confronting methodological strategy and ethnocentrism, and her
foundational treatise on sociological theory in data collection, How to Observe Morals and
Manners. These works

Aneurysms Essay
To begin with, the word aneurysm derives from the Latin word aneurysma. In Latin aneurysma
means dilation and dilation means that act of expanding. From this, it is easier to figure out what
an aneurysm really is. The definition of the English word aneurysm means, blood filled dilation of
a blood vessel. There are several different types of aneurysm, but this report will only cover a
cerebral one. Intracranial aneurysms are classified as dissecting, saccular, and fusiform. There are
many causes of intracranial aneurysms. Some of the most common causes would include
fibromuscular dysphasia, atherosclerosis, and arteriovenous malformation. Some that are less
common, but do occur would include drugs, infection, and trauma. Dissecting... Show more content

Saccular aneurysms are the most common and are easily identified because of the berrylike sacs
on the veins or arteries. They are caused by weakness in the vessel wall layers. The sac itself
grows from the intima and adventitia of an vessel. When this occurs abnormal hemodynamic
pressure on the cerebral arteries causes rupture. Saccular aneurysm can be caused by infections,
tumors, or drugs. Aneurysms occur to people in their early forties to their late fifties. Most
aneurysms occur to people that are around age sixty. Intracranial aneurysms are rare to children
and only account for 2% of the total aneurysms. The younger the patient with an intracranial
aneurysm the larger the sac. Location is a big part in classifying the type of aneurysm. About
86.5% of all intracranial aneurysms occurs in the carotid region. The pieces all fall to place
when using the Hunt and Hess scale, which measures the current status of the expansion. There is
a grade 0 to grade 5 scale. Zero is a non ruptured aneurysm and 5 is basically the point were there
is not much doctors can do to make the patient live. Vasospasm is the term used when a
constriction of a vein or artery occurs. It is also the cause of death when an aneurysm occurs. More
than 50% of all surviving patients that get an intracranial aneurysm have neurological defects.
Treatment is wonderful when treating intracranial aneurysm. The most common approach is
surgery, because blood

Influences Of The Meiji Era
Influences of the Meiji Era The Meiji Era was a move into modernism and a step towards western
changes. Japan, influenced by Western Powers, would go through an immense government shift,
which would potentially be the turning point to a new era of ideas. During this political shift,
literature would reflect criticisms and struggles of the people in this time. Also as this major
change takes place, the lifestyles of many are either improved or destroyed. Therefore the culture of
the Meiji Era during the years of 1868 to 1912 was shaped by its bureaucratic government while the
literature of Mori Ogai evinces its cultural connection. During the Meiji Era, to show Western
powers their strength and independence, Japan underwent many changes, one... Show more content

A key ingredient to the abolition of feudalism was, By providing a new environment of political
and financial security, the government made possible investments in new industries and
technology. ( The Meiji par.11)These new industries would open up more jobs for citizens and
would therefore better their lives and increase the economies wealth. Another matter is that the
new technology would change how things were run, the old traditional ways would be replaced
with more modern solutions. Another major element to a new system of life was the railway,
...after the railway was completed in the late 1880s [a journey between Edo and Kyoto] took
less than one day. Moreover the rail fare was less than a third of the cost of the trip by sedan
chair. (Henshall 76)This big improvement in transportation would mark the beginning of
technology making the lives of everyday citizens more easier and less expensive. By being able
to go to such lengths for only a short amount time and money, the people of Japan are extremely
likely to go aboard the train and that would in turn boost the economy once again. In addition to
economical changes there were clothing changes as well, Western dress became fashionable among
progressives and in 1872 became compulsory for government officials (including on ceremonial
occasions) and civil servants such as

To Kill A Mockingbird Man Vs Society
From reading To Kill a Mockingbird, I learned that racism is very harmful to the people it
affects, that it was a huge issue at that time, and that it was considered a part of everyday life in
the South. I also learned that there is more to a person than meets the eye and you will never know
a person s entire story, so you should always be kind and compassionate to them.
Scout s mindset in this book reminded me of my own beliefs as a child. When I was younger, I
believed that everyone around me was a good person. I was also intolerant and prejudiced
against people who were different than me. Just like Scout, as I grew older and more mature, I
realized that people can be good and evil and became more accepting of people who are different
than me. The two types of conflict in the story were man vs. man and man vs. society. Bob Ewell

man conflict. During the trial, Atticus attempts to convince the jury and townspeople not to be
prejudiced and give Tom Robinson a fair trial, which is an example of man vs. society conflict.
One of the literary elements I noticed was dialect, which was used to make the story seem more
realistic and figurative language such as similes and metaphors. Symbolism is also very
prominent in the book. One of the main symbols used is mockingbirds. Miss Maudie tells Scout,
Mockingbirds don t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don t eat up people s
gardens, don t nest in corncribs, they don t do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That s
why it s a sin to kill a mockingbird. Mockingbirds represent the characters in the story that are

Texas Western Miners Case Study
Coach Dan Haskins was the basketball coach of Texas Western University. When he got his
position he wanted to recruit basketball players that could help Texas Western University s
basketball team. As he journeyed to find basketball players, he recruited 7 black players. During
that time period it was not common for black players to play in universities basketball teams,
especially in Texas. The Texas Western Miners consisted of 7 black and 3 white athletes. Coach
Haskins decision to recruit black basketball players affected the team to be harassed and threatened,
the funding boosters threatened to pull funding from the team, and won the championships.
As the basketball season starts for the Texas Western Miners, the team has had many victories. The
more victories they get, they become nearer to the championship. However, as the team travels to
play their games in different towns and states, they meet a numerous amount of haters. Many whites
disagreed that blacks should not be playing on the team. The team gets harassed at games. People

if the funding boosters did pull away the funds for the team, they would not make a good

Iran Pros And Cons
Under Supreme Leader Khamenei; moderate President Rafsanjani; and reformists President
Khatami, the Iran nuclear program received support in the 1990s from China, Russia, and the
A.Q. Khan network. China and Iran signed an agreement in 1990 and subsequently imported a
metric ton of uranium hexafluoride, a feed gas for gas centrifuges, from China in 1991.
According to certain safeguard agreements in place, Iran was supposed to report the transfer to
the IAEA but they did not. However, support from the Chinese stopped in 1992 after China joined
the Nuclear Suppliers Group and succumbed to U.S. pressures. These measures forced the Iranians
to seek assistance from the A.Q. Khan network again; therefore, Iran purchased more drawings and
components for 500 P 1 centrifuges and drawings for the upgraded P 2 centrifuges. Russia also
supported the Iranian nuclear program in the 1990s. In the mid 1990s, picking up where the

weapon, which are highly enriched uranium (HEU) and plutonium. Assuming there are no other
secret facilities, uranium is currently produced at Natanz and FFEP, while plutonium is produced
at Arak. The website also mentions that Iran currently possesses enough HEU to produce eight
nuclear bombs, and that it possesses 20,000 centrifuges between the previously mentioned Natanz

or below the 3.67% while reducing the number of centrifuges to 6,104 for at least the next 10
years. Additionally, the deal addresses concerns about future secret facilities, specifying that Iran is
subject to exceptionally vigorous monitoring, verification, and inspection measures as well as
allowing the IAEA access to any suspected nuclear

run by an external vendor, Glo bus, and there is a small fee (less than $40.00) to participate. You
will pay this by credit card to the vendor, and this is in addition to the text. For the simulation,
you will work in teams. Discussion Board Participation criteria In this class, online contributions
are an important component of the course. All case analyses and discussions will be conducted
via Discussion Board (DB), so be sure to focus on these! Evaluation of your participation will be
based on both the quality and consistency of your contribution and effort. First and foremost, the
purpose of the DB is to discuss and/or dialogue with your classmates. Therefore, one posting of
your perspective on an issue is not sufficient. Your ability to integrate text concepts, raise and

The Law On Sexual Offences
The law on sexual offences stipulates that in order for criminal liability to exist, there needs to
be a lack of consent, and also a lack of reasonable belief whether it be mistaken or not. Consent is
defined in S.74 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 as when a person consents if he agrees by
choice, and has the freedom and capacity to make that choice. Before this act there was no
statutory definition of consent. In the case of Olugboja , the residing lord Lord Dunn said The
jury should be directed that consent, or the absence of it, is to be given its ordinary meaning 2.
Consent was not defined in previous legislations; this caused the Home Office in 1999 to set out a
report called Setting the Boundaries . In this report they lay out recommendations on how to deal
with sexual offences going forward. One of the many suggestions they made were that consent
should be defined as free agreement ; and the law should set out a non exhaustive list of examples
of when consent/free agreement is not present.3 The issue of consent is pivotal in the offences of
(1) rape; (2) assault by penetration; (3) sexual assault; and (4) Causing a person to engage in sexual
activity without consent. The Sexual Offences Act 2003 introduced the latter three offences,
statutory defined consent, new evidential presumptions were introduced such as the prosecution
must disprove consent and not the defence needing to prove it, and it also changed the fault
elements in the offence of rape. This act

It is reverent that HR play a key role in the administration and the construction of a functioning
staff. It is the goal of the principal to hire effective personnel to his team, and that these individuals
bring forth experiences that might make the team stronger. The principal must think of his
weaknesses and try to fulfill people who will pick up the slack in these areas. He also wants
individuals who know how to multitask and organize. The principalalso needindividuals who will

According to the passage, we read the principle can do his hiring to convenient himself or he can
just pick from the list that the district provides. I believe the principal needs to think of his
school as a game of chess. A principal needs to place the right people in the right roles. A
principal wants to know his teachers and administration. He needs to know what they can handle
and what they have accomplished in their careers. In addition, he needs to know about their life
style and see what issues individual might be facing and if they are trying to progress as a
teacher. He might have individuals who are hanging on to retire. Which is ok, if they do their job.
However, he does not need individuals who are disgruntle and tend to rub off negativity views on
new employees. A principal wants individuals who wantto grow and has set goals for themselves.

State of Good Faith in English Contract Law
The law of contract in many legal systems requires that parties should act in good faith. English
law refuses to impose such a general doctrine of good faith in the field of contract law. However,
despite not recognizing the principle, English contract law is still influenced by notions of good
faith. As Lord Bingham affirmed, the law has developed numerous piecemeal solutions in
response to problems of unfairness. This essay will seek to examine the current and future state
of good faith in English contract law. Good faith was described by Lord Bingham in Interfoto as
playing fair, coming clean, or putting one s cards face upwards on the table. It owes its origins to
the law of equity and can be traced back to the case of Carter v... Show more content on

With a good faith requirement, it could be argued that a culture of trust and cooperation would
emerge which would compel a duty of disclosure. The doctrine of frustration is another piecemeal
solution that enables fairer performance of contracts. Frustration acknowledges that it is unjust to
tie a party s obligations entirely to the contract. Frustration is invoked to rectify certain unfair
situations where unforeseen contingencies have occurred. This doctrine provides for acts beyond
the control of either party, which renders performance impossible. As Lord Bingham stated, the
doctrine of frustration was to give effect to the demands of justice, to achieve a just and
reasonable result, to do what was reasonable and fair, as an expedient to escape from injustice
where such would result from enforcement of a contract in its literal terms after a significant
change in circumstances. Lord Simon in Panalpina stresses this point that frustration was
developed as an expedient to escape from injustice . However one main limitation of the doctrine is
the requirement of foreseeability of the frustrating event. Frustration is thus rarely used and will
only be applied where a change to the foundation of the contract has destroyed the basis of the
contract. The problem with the doctrine of frustration as piecemeal solution is that some events are
inevitably impossible to predict. Therefore a good faith

The Historical Context Of Shakespeare s Titus Andronicus
Tiffany Stelle
English
Prof Barrett Graves
8 April 2015
Tamora: Gender Constructs in Titus Andronicus
In Shakespeare s plays it is important to understand the historical context of women in the
Elizabethan Age and their role. The Shakespearean era consisted of a misogynistic and patriarchal
society which contrasted with Queen Elizabeth being the head of the state. Even though the most
important person in England was a woman, the common woman was still very limited in her
power and in her independence. Women in this era were dependent on men socially,
economically and sexually. Married women were not allowed to be in the public without their
husbands, they were bound to the domestic area. Women in general were believed to be less
rational than men and always needed male protection and guidance. As they were thought to be
incapable of caring for themselves, it was the men s duty to control their sexuality; the father
had to guarantee that his daughter marries as a virgin and the husband had to control his wife so
she would only bear his children. Economically women were dependent on men because they
were not allowed to have their own business or be involved in trade. They were seen as objects
of bartering that men traded with and treated as if they were property. Women were believed to be
passive objects, this idea of male dominance above women is represented in theology and
philosophy and even supported by medical science: The fact that female sex organs were inside was

The Theme Of Faith And Suffering In The Hebrew Bible
The concept of faith and suffering in the Hebrew Bible has filled worshippers with fraught
throughout the ages of its existence. The crux of the matter is that there is no definition of what
exactly these things are and what they mean, leading to many different theories to emerge on the
concept of whether sufferingis necessary for faith in God. This has historically caused strife
between many populations of worshippers, and continues to be a point of bitter disagreement
between people. Wildly contradicting itself between various books, the Hebrew Bibleis at best
ambiguous in many of these concepts, but when analyzing small passages, certain themes can be
argued for with much more strength. In the Book of Job, loyalty to God is questioned, and
ultimately the theme of free will in faith is addressed through the pain and suffering of its characters.
The Book of Job in the Hebrew Bible is characterized by the misery of a faithful servant of God,
and how it relates to this character s ability to praise God. Job is an unwaveringly loyal and
righteous subject of God, blessed with immense wealth and a beautiful family. One day God
boasts to Satan of the innate goodness of Job, to which Satan questions does Job fear God for
nothing? ... you have blessed the work of his hands ... but stretch out your hand, and touch all that
he has, and he will curse you to your face (The Bible, Book of Job, 1:6 12). If Job has faced no

Robert Nozick s Anarchy, State, And Utopia
In Anarchy, State, and Utopia Robert Nozick uses a famous example of Wilt Chamberlain getting
rich by playing basketball to show how patterned distribution is destroyed by individual transfers of
goods and money. He argues that we should have a free economy in which we each have control
over our holdings without interference from a governmentor anyone else. To argue this he shows
that the alternative to this free economy, patterning our distribution of resources, is unjust because
it causes interference in people s lives.
In this paper I will pose three arguments that this example is faulty because it is oversimplified. I
will argue that it overlooks important moral concerns, specifically reward. I will argue that it makes
a faulty assumption ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
People pay happily to see him play and exchange their money for his time. Their money is assumed
to be justly earned, and is justly given since the transfer is voluntary. Because of his popularity
Chamberlain earns more than the other basketball players and more than the average citizen.
Nothing is evenly distributed anymore because he has more of it than others do. The example
shows how free exchange inevitably upsets patterns of distribution. If that free exchange follows
the rules of just transfer then it is just to upset the pattern and presumably unjust to reinstitute

Summary Of Simon Lewis Out Of Africa
Simon Lewis writes a critique of Karen Blixen s, also known from her pen name as Isak Densen,
novel which is call Out of Africa. The author, Blixen, died in 1962. However, her memoir is still
making waves. Simon Lewis decided to write an article that analyzes her writing in 2000, which is
thirty eight years after her death. This piece of writing, by Lewis highlights Blixen s opinions on
African lifestyle; Colonialism; Farms; Authors; Literary analysis; and the subtle racism. The novel
being critiqued is set in Kenya, Africa. In this article, Lewis examines colonial perspectives written
by Blixen, and how they relate to the preservation management, farming, and society in the genre of
pastoral. Lewis mentions that Blixen s effort advances her writing material to better sell. Her
writing is manufactured by a society that is used to marketing itself to sell their lifestyle, citizens,

The first sentence of Out of Africa implies the owning of a farm. The book continues without any
talks of how the author came into possession of the land. This information is crucial in
determining the character of the author, and how she obtained the land is the key. Lewis brings up

Despite The Tremendous Economic Success In Texas And Its
Despite the tremendous economic success in Texas and its overall well being, the state continues to
face its nonstandard set of challenges that must be addressed immediately. Certainly, the most
pressing issue is a deteriorating transportation infrastructure, which requires innovation, long range
planning and, of course, investment (Button Reggiani, 2011). The following study focuses on the
deteriorating transportation infrastructureas a major issue facing the state of Texas. The report will
also discuss the positions of two major Texas political parties (Republican and Democratic) on the
issue. It further explains the ways of their addressing it. Next, it will discuss the overall goals, the
position, the level of lobbying and the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, the changing characteristics and the growth of the Texas population are the major causes
of the transportation problem (Gravel, 2016).
While it was not a major issue in the just concluded campaigns, the future of Texas infrastructure
did receive attention in the two major Texas political parties (Republican and Democratic).
However, the political parties reveal differing positions and philosophies on ways of tackling the
issue. To be specific, the Democrats believe that infrastructure is important to the future economic
prosperity (LePatner, 2010). Further, the party argues that broadband networks, schools, water
systems, and energy are some of the infrastructures that are readily ripe for investment. As such, the
party hopes that investments in such fields may help address other related issues such as
unemployment too. Sadly, the Democratic Party does not mention how additional funding would
be injected in infrastructure. Instead, the members weigh in on some tools that may be vital in
helping Texas to fund infrastructure projects (Schiller, Bruun, Kenworthy, 2010). The party
promises to continue encouraging investments in infrastructure by state and local governments by
creating a lasting edition of the Build America Bonds program. Conversely, the Republicans appear
unfavorably on using government funds for sidewalks,

The Fall And Rise Of Strategic Planning
In his article, The Fall and Rise of Strategic Planning, Henry Mintzberg (1994) provides his views
on the process of strategic planning. He offers that most companies and organizations start a
strategic planning process with little understanding of the definition or actual purpose of planning.
He tends to admonish much of the conventional understanding concerning strategic planningand
proposes his interpretations. He states that the most successful strategies are visions, not plans
(Mintzberg, 1994, p. 107). Mintzberg further states that the strategy making process should include
summarizing the data that the manager has acquired from all sources and then synthesizing that
data into a vision of the path which the company should follow (Mintzberg, 1994). He continues
his ideas by stating that Planners should make their contribution around the strategy making
process rather than inside it (Mintzberg, 1994, p. 108). He believes that the planner should not be
the one creating the plan, but rather the one who supplies the needed analysis, or data, to the
strategic thinkers. An analogy that comes to mind is in my previous job whereby the exceptions
processing representatives were a type of advanced data entry representatives. Not only would they
extrapolate the data received, but they were also required to forward it to the proper department for
processing. They did not make any decision on how to use the data, but instead, directed that data to
the group that

Blindness By Jose Saramago
The novel Blindness by Jose Saramago uses an epidemic of blindness as the means to illustrate the
fault in humanity. Blindness in this sense can hold countless differing meaning and values thus
making it a prime literate and metaphoric choice to portray his message rather than any other
epidemic. The definition of blindnessare 1 Sightless; having less than 1/10 of normal vision in the
more efficient eye when refractive defects are fully corrected by lenses; 2 Unable or unwilling to
discern or judge . Although within the book the form of blindness is in the medical context of lost
of vision, the author carries through his underlying message according to the second definition of
blindness. Metaphorically the author may have intended to portray the ignorance of society and
how being individually oriented may leave us blind to the problems we create.
For one within the book one of the main characters: the doctor states Fighting has always been a
form of blindness. Through the doctor s speech the author depicts that the epidemic of blindness
arguably allowed them to see that they actually had been blind all along. The fact that we humans
can argue, fight and kill each other in a sense leaves us blind since we are unable to see another
person s view resulting in fight. Thus in lament terms the unwillingness to view ... Show more

The doctor is remarking that he thinks that they may have never actually been blind in fact quite
the opposite, in which the characters are blinder when they can see since when they have vision
they become blind to how complicated and fragile society actually is. By saying that there are no
blind people and only blindness, the doctor is arguably saying that all blindness is the

Review Of Current And Overlooked Organizational Resources
Review of current and anticipated organizational resources The University is a state institution that
receives a portion of its funding from the State of Missouri. Over time, funding from the state has
decreased. This year alone, Southeast is facing a budget cut in excess of 4 million dollars. With that
said, Southeast Online is completely self funded. Students who take an online class are charged an
online course fee. Additionally, students who are enrolled in an online degree program, pay an
online tuition rate. Southeast Online is funded through a portion of these fees. While budget cuts
are substantial overall, their direct impact on Southeast Online has been related to challenges with
adding additional staff due to hiring... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Allen Gathman who served as the Dean of Online Learning. His position wasn t filled, instead his
duties were re distributed. A new position was created for an Associate Provost for Academic
Effectiveness and Student Success, Dr. Bethany Alden Rivers filled that role. Southeast Online
now reports to her. The Director of the RN BSN program also retired and a new Director, Desma
Reno was installed. The effect to the overall culture of the university remains to be seen. However,
President Vargas appears to understand the complex needs of the online environment and is in full
support of the growth of programs. While Dr. Vargas is in full support, the current culture makes
growth in online program difficult as customer service is an important part of recruiting and
retaining students in the online environment. Customer Service isn t the primary focus of the
campus culture, so much so that the term Southeast Shuffle was coined to describe how
departments will shuffle students between departments instead of assisting them. Arguments can be
made that higher education isn t in the customer service business, but in online where degrees can
be commoditized to an extent, it is an important factor. Providing customer service doesn t mean
you have to sacrifice academic integrity. It remains to be seen how the changes in upper
management will affect the culture. The majority of campus is focused on retaining

Importance Of Expressive Communication In The Jewish Culture
Expressive communication is a common trend among Jews, as well as being very verbal in how
and what they are feeling. Humor is also a frequent method of communication among the Jewish
people. Humor will be used in a way that makes fun of themselves. Though they can make jokes
toward themselves and other Jews, jokes from non Jews about Jews are not usually accepted or
appreciated (Schwartz, 2004). Elderly Jews towards the end of their life can come across as
chronic complainers. It is just important to remember that expressiveness about how and what
they are feeling is part of the culture. It may take some time a and patience to determine and
assess pain levels due to their outspoken complaints (Schwartz, 2004). Space within the Jewish
Culture Some Jews are more sensitive to space than other types. Orthodox Jews are very
conscientious when it comes to personal space, especially when dealing with the opposite sex.
Orthodox Jews, both men and women, will often not shake the hand of the opposite sex. This
comes from the Code of Jewish Law, forbidding a man to smell the scent of a strange women, to
look upon her hair, or even to look at her pinky finger (Schwartz, 2004). Older Jewish members
and those who are nearing the end stages of life, will often want to have family and other Jews
close by. For example, if there are multiple Jews in a nursing home, they would prefer to live in
close proximity to each other just because of that Jewish connection and understanding of one

Argumentative Essay On Animal Shelter
One in ten dogs born will find a permanent home, therefore what happens to the other nine? The
other nine dogs likely will end up in traditional animal shelters only to succumb to euthanization if
not adopted within a week. A traditional animal shelter must accept, or chooses to accept, any and
all companion animals regardless of health, temperament or space availability, with no limits.
(AHeinz57 PetRescue) A growing number of people feel that animals should not be exploited by
people and that they should have the same rights as humans.
Stray animals outnumber homeless people five to one. This mainly occurs only because these
animals do not receive the proper security they need. This includes dogs breaking chains, getting

On the other hand if the shelter is not full and if the dog is good and a desirable breed, the execution
date will in return be pushed back, but it will not be for long. Of the 1,000 shelters that replied to
the National Council s survey, 4.3 million animals were handled. In 1997, roughly 64 percent of
the total number of animals that entered shelters were euthanized approximately 2.7 million
animals in just these 1,000 shelters. These animals may have been euthanized due to
overcrowding, but may also have been sick, aggressive, injured or suffering from something else.
(americanhumane) Euthanizing animals in shelters should not be aloud. The precious lives of
these animals are lost with no rhyme or reason. No reason out there can make taking an innocent
life away right. These little harmless animals never did anything to deserve death. They did not
hurt anyone. They only die to make room for other animals and it shall never be the right thing to
do. They could find other alternatives to do instead of killing more helpless animals.
As pet owners it remains our job to keep our pets safe. Allowing animal shelters to kill innocent
adorable animals is wrong. A growing number of people feel that animals should not be exploited
by people and that they should have the same rights as humans. They should not destroy a fragile
life over space. Space is endless, on

  • 2. The Uniform Resource Locator ( Url ) Essay These days if we see any business whether it is a small or a big but all of them should have online existence. And these data online can be stored through a web site or a web page. The user wishing to access this information will then search for it, but there are billions of web sites and web pages. How will one be able to search for the specific web page or website? So there should be a specific name, number or name tag through which we can differentiate all websites and web pages. The URL plays the same role as the name or identity of a web page or website. Basically a URL is one type of uniform resource identifier (URI); the generic term for all types of names and address that refers to objects on the World Wide Web . There is a specific format of URL. We can also say URL as a web address. The uniform resource locator (URL) was developed by Tim Berners Lee in 1994 and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) URI working group. The URL format is specified in RFC 1738 Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Every domain name has a suffix that indicates which top level domain (TLD) it belongs to. There are only a limited number of such domains. For example: .com, .net, .gov, .edu, .org etc. because the internet is based on IP address, not domain names, every web server requires a Domain Name System (DNS) server to translate domain names into IP address. A domain name is the address of your web site. This is what is entered by your users who wants to see your web page or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Dental Braces Essay Dental braces were originally created to help with the position of teeth in regards to a person s bite, as well as to straighten the teeth. Braces can be helpful in correcting underbites, malocclusions, overbites, open bites, deep bites, cross bites, crooked teeth, as well as other issues with the teethand jaw. As an alternative to the unsightliness and discomfort that braces can inflict, Zia Chishti and Kelsey Wirth founded Invisalign in 1997, a system of clear aligners to adjust teeth. With this somewhat recent invention and alternative treatment technique, controversy has sparked between dentists and orthodontists as to whether or not Invisalign is ideal for all patients, is sustainable, and is a lasting treatment method in comparison to fixed dental appliances. Practicing dentists and orthodontists must take into account the performance of each method, treatment retention, and treatment time period when determining which treatment method is ideal for their patients. Though research has been conducted along with observations, there is a widespread discrepancy in collected data supporting each treatment method in favor of another. Research from Djeu, Shelton and Maganzini (2004) found that overall prost retention rates of traditional braces had a higher passing rate than that of the invisalign group as observed using the American Board of Orthodontics model. Conversely, research from Li, Wang and Zhang (2015) found that there was no statistical differences between invisalign and braces results, when observing that both methods received passing grades based on the ABO model. The survival of sociology as a critical theoretical discipline is a concern expressed by many, such as contemporary social analyst George Ritzer, who are forging new paths of application that represent a paradigm shift in this classical social legacy. In the seminal work, Studies in History and Philosophy of Science, authors note the birth of meaningful social science concurrent with Martineau s groundbreaking social research, as they explore her attempts to move away from subjective authorship in order to devise objective methods for the observation and representation of the social state (Cooper Murphy, p. 122). Iran Pros And Cons Under Supreme Leader Khamenei; moderate President Rafsanjani; and reformists President Khatami, the Iran nuclear program received support in the 1990s from China, Russia, and the A.Q. Khan network. China and Iran signed an agreement in 1990 and subsequently imported a metric ton of uranium hexafluoride, a feed gas for gas centrifuges, from China in 1991. According to certain safeguard agreements in place, Iran was supposed to report the transfer to the IAEA but they did not. However, support from the Chinese stopped in 1992 after China joined the Nuclear Suppliers Group and succumbed to U.S. pressures. These measures forced the Iranians to seek assistance from the A.Q. Khan network again; therefore, Iran purchased more drawings and components for 500 P 1 centrifuges and drawings for the upgraded P 2 centrifuges. The Law On Sexual Offences The law on sexual offences stipulates that in order for criminal liability to exist, there needs to be a lack of consent, and also a lack of reasonable belief whether it be mistaken or not. Consent is defined in S.74 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 as when a person consents if he agrees by choice, and has the freedom and capacity to make that choice. Before this act there was no statutory definition of consent. In the case of Olugboja , the residing lord Lord Dunn said The jury should be directed that consent, or the absence of it, is to be given its ordinary meaning 2. Consent was not defined in previous legislations; this caused the Home Office in 1999 to set out a report called Setting the Boundaries . In this report they lay out recommendations on how to deal with sexual offences going forward. One of the many suggestions they made were that consent should be defined as free agreement ; and the law should set out a non exhaustive list of examples of when consent/free agreement is not present.3 The issue of consent is pivotal in the offences of (1) rape; (2) assault by penetration; (3) sexual assault; and (4) Causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent. The Sexual Offences Act 2003 introduced the latter three offences, statutory defined consent, new evidential presumptions were introduced such as the prosecution must disprove consent and not the defence needing to prove it, and it also changed the fault elements in the offence of rape. This essay will seek to examine the current and future state of good faith in English contract law. With a good faith requirement, it could be argued that a culture of trust and cooperation would emerge which would compel a duty of disclosure. The doctrine of frustration is another piecemeal solution that enables fairer performance of contracts. Frustration acknowledges that it is unjust to tie a party s obligations entirely to the contract. Frustration is invoked to rectify certain unfair situations where unforeseen contingencies have occurred. This doctrine provides for acts beyond the control of either party, which renders performance impossible. As Lord Bingham stated, the doctrine of frustration was to give effect to the demands of justice, to achieve a just and reasonable result, to do what was reasonable and fair, as an expedient to escape from injustice where such would result from enforcement of a contract in its literal terms after a significant change in circumstances. Lord Simon in Panalpina stresses this point that frustration was developed as an expedient to escape from injustice . However one main limitation of the doctrine is the requirement of foreseeability of the frustrating event. Frustration is thus rarely used and will only be applied where a change to the foundation of the contract has destroyed the basis of the contract. The problem with the doctrine of frustration as piecemeal solution is that some events are inevitably impossible to predict. Therefore a good faith ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Historical Context Of Shakespeare s Titus Andronicus Tiffany Stelle English Prof Barrett Graves 8 April 2015 Tamora: Gender Constructs in Titus Andronicus In Shakespeare s plays it is important to understand the historical context of women in the Elizabethan Age and their role. The Shakespearean era consisted of a misogynistic and patriarchal society which contrasted with Queen Elizabeth being the head of the state. Even though the most important person in England was a woman, the common woman was still very limited in her power and in her independence. Women in this era were dependent on men socially, economically and sexually. Married women were not allowed to be in the public without their husbands, they were bound to the domestic area. Women in general were believed to be less rational than men and always needed male protection and guidance. As they were thought to be incapable of caring for themselves, it was the men s duty to control their sexuality; the father had to guarantee that his daughter marries as a virgin and the husband had to control his wife so she would only bear his children. Economically women were dependent on men because they were not allowed to have their own business or be involved in trade. They were seen as objects of bartering that men traded with and treated as if they were property. Women were believed to be passive objects, this idea of male dominance above women is represented in theology and philosophy and even supported by medical science: The fact that female sex organs were inside was ... The crux of the matter is that there is no definition of what exactly these things are and what they mean, leading to many different theories to emerge on the concept of whether sufferingis necessary for faith in God. This has historically caused strife between many populations of worshippers, and continues to be a point of bitter disagreement between people. Wildly contradicting itself between various books, the Hebrew Bibleis at best ambiguous in many of these concepts, but when analyzing small passages, certain themes can be argued for with much more strength. In the Book of Job, loyalty to God is questioned, and ultimately the theme of free will in faith is addressed through the pain and suffering of its characters. The Book of Job in the Hebrew Bible is characterized by the misery of a faithful servant of God, and how it relates to this character s ability to praise God. To argue this he shows that the alternative to this free economy, patterning our distribution of resources, is unjust because it causes interference in people s lives. He offers that most companies and organizations start a strategic planning process with little understanding of the definition or actual purpose of planning. He tends to admonish much of the conventional understanding concerning strategic planningand proposes his interpretations. He states that the most successful strategies are visions, not plans (Mintzberg, 1994, p. 107). Mintzberg further states that the strategy making process should include summarizing the data that the manager has acquired from all sources and then synthesizing that data into a vision of the path which the company should follow (Mintzberg, 1994). He continues his ideas by stating that Planners should make their contribution around the strategy making process rather than inside it (Mintzberg, 1994, p. 108). He believes that the planner should not be the one creating the plan, but rather the one who supplies the needed analysis, or data, to the strategic thinkers. An analogy that comes to mind is in my previous job whereby the exceptions processing representatives were a type of advanced data entry representatives. The definition of blindnessare 1 Sightless; having less than 1/10 of normal vision in the more efficient eye when refractive defects are fully corrected by lenses; 2 Unable or unwilling to discern or judge . Although within the book the form of blindness is in the medical context of lost of vision, the author carries through his underlying message according to the second definition of blindness.
