Conducting Research Process
The first step in conducting research is identifying a problem. It is important in this step to choose a
problem that you are interested in and could provide a creative solution to. Also, choose a problem
that has relevance. Do not choose a problem that is random or too difficult to find a solution to. The
second step in conducting research is reviewing the literature. In this step, you are reading all of the
papers, and reviewing all of the similar research that relates to the problem you identified in the first
step. This step will relate the relevance of your research to previous and future research by others.
This step will also educate you about what research has been conducted about your problem, how the
research was completed, and what conclusion was drawn from the previous research. The third step of
research is clarifying the problem. In this step, you take the identified problem from step one and
narrow it down into a smaller issue. The goal of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fourth step of research is to clearly define terms and concepts in the context of your research. In
this step, you are defining the words and processes as they relate to your research and the completion
of your research. This step is important because other researchers and readers need to be able to read
and understand your work. Furthermore, these terms and concepts need to be defined as how they
relate to your study. Different words have different meanings based on the situation. The fifth step is
defining the population. In this step, you reveal who is participating or who is the focus of your
research. The population could be a group or an individual and can vary in age, race, location, and
education. You can use the problem you chose and the purpose of your research in order to choose a
group. This step in research is important because it makes your research process more manageable,
and keeps you on track while conducting

Pro Choice Of Abortion
Valeria Arauza
Ms. Cooney
English CP10
30 October 2017 Marissa recently found out she was pregnant, she was taking birth control pills as
contraceptives to avoid a pregnancy, but she knew she needed to take an emergency contraceptive.
Marissa was a pro life activist, meaning she opposed abortions. She, along with all the other pro life
supporters, never did accept that people had abortions. People felt the same on the topic as her, they
were all completely against abortions and shamed woman who had took part in the practice. She did
not even understand why people even thought about having abortions, she believed only egotistical
woman wanted them. Until she found out she was pregnant, but knew she did not want to start a
family with the man nor did she believe it was the right time, she knew it was a mistake. Marissa was
finally in their shoes, she finally understood. Being pro choice is supporting legal abortions, but it is
also protecting women s right to choose. Pro choice advocates believe there is nothing wrong with
ladies getting to choose to keep their unborn baby or not, and there is nothing wrong with choosing to
go through with an abortion. People should become pro choice advocates because a woman should
decide her reproductive health care, have access to birth control and emergency contraceptives, and
although it s believed abortions are dangerous, having abortions is safer than giving birth.
People should become pro choice advocates because the reproductive

The Late And Post Renaissance
The late and post renaissance was a time dominated by the Medici family, but many other Italian
families had their time in power. As the late renaissance ended and the post renaissance era started, the
Corsini family gained power and influence under the Medici. With banks in England, offices around
Europe, and palazzos in Italy, the family made fast and large steps toward gaining influence and
relevance in Italy. While they earned respect on the financial side, they also progressed on the
religious side, thus earning them nearly the same amount of power and influence as their Medici
counterparts. The Corsini family maintained their status during the Medici rule by developing a high
status on the financial and religious sides of life.

He was the first Medici to have served on the Florentine Board and he was also a de facto ruler of
Florence. Later in Cosimo s life, the next great Medici, Lorenzo, was born (Encyclopedia Britannica).
In 1449, Lorenzo Medici, or Lorenzo, the Magnificent was born. He would prove to be one of the
greatest Florentine and Medici rulers, as he was a patron of the arts and accomplished many feats for
the great city, this is what made him so popular with the citizens and this helped him to earn higher
status and respect for the family. He was also one of the most skilled politicians of the time, but sadly
for Florence and the Medicis, he fell ill and died at the young age of 43, This ended the highest period
of power for the family. (Encyclopedia Britannica).
The financial side of the Corsini family began in the later half of the 15th Century with a bank based
in England and helped them to develop a primary financial status to maintain stability under the
Medici. When Matteo Corsini originally created the family bank in London, it gave the Corsinis the
money to purchase and invest in land back in Tuscany (PrincipeCorsini.com), this act gained
preliminary power for the family in Italy. After Mateo had passed, Filippo Corsini ran the bank in
London as well as a branch of commercial desks across Europe. With the help of his son Bartolomeo,
he was also able to establish a successful postal service that could

The Killer T Cells
When an antigen is detected, several types of cells work together to recognize and respond to it. These
cells trigger the B cells to produce antibodies. Antibodies and their responding antigens fit together
like a key and a lock. Although antibodies can recognize an antigen and lock onto it, they are not
capable of destroying it without help. That is the job of the specific T cells, also called killer cells .
The T cells are part of the system that destroys antigens that have been tagged by antibodies or cells
that have been infected or somehow changed. T cells are also involved in helping signal other cells of
the immune system to do their jobs.
B cells recognize current or past antigens, mark what cells are invaders, and produce antibodies for
those antigens. The killer T cells are the cells that expel those antigens from the body. Killer T cells
have one objective and that is to be the terminator(imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger saying that) of
those viruses and antigens in your body. Helper T cells also regulate immunity. are they examples of
negative feedback?:
I believe that the actions of the T cells and B cells are good examples of negative feedback. Our
feedback mechanism detect, check, and respond to any changes in our body. When our bodies are
pushed out of homeostasis, negative feedback is an example of our body recovering from it. When we
are infected with an illness or when an antigen enters our body, that stimulus generates a negative
feedback or immune

Characteristics Of Canterbury Tales
In The Canterbury Tales, Geoffrey Chaucer paints the characters of the General Prologue in a
somewhat ironic light, offering cynicism and criticism as the poet through the naïve observations of
his own fictional personification. One character portrait that receives Chaucer s cynicism is that of the
monk, who, on the first read through, seems to be a jolly monk with a healthy habit of hunting, but on
closer inspection is not all that he seems. In this characterization, Chaucer describes the monk as the
sporting type, hunting in his free time and being somewhat lax in the strict customs of the church.
Although this profile is apt for a healthy man in the late middle ages, this characterization is not
appropriate for someone of the cloth, and Chaucer knows this. Monks, in popular culture and in real
life, are seen as devoted to the work of God and living a life of asceticism, living their lives away from
the normal social sphere and have little to no worldly possessions besides the humble clothes they
wear. However, Chaucer describes this monk as having a fine horse with a saddle lined with bells, a
pack of keen hunting greyhounds, and sleves purfiled at the hond/ With grys, and that the fynest of a
lond (General Prologue 193 194). Chaucer the pilgrim seems to observe the monk s attire as a mark of
a healthy man and listens when the monk makes his excuse that he should not be holed up in a
monastery and going mad over reading books. However, readers of the characterization

A00502435 Prospectus: Involuntary intentions create fearfulness resulting in Job Dissatisfaction
among Nashua City Employees Problem Statement Companies and organizations with tremendous
potential for success are using involuntary intention as a means of dismissing employees or
eliminating positions (Ghayas Siddiqui, 2012).In the past few years, however, organizations have used
the economic meltdown and downturns in business to justify involuntary intentions as a necessity for
organizational survival in today s competitive environment (Mbah Ikemefuna, 2012). Economic
meltdowns and adverse recessionary trends are cited as major causes for creating and sustaining
employment fear psychosis among non managerial employees working for the City of Nashua Public
Works Division, resulting in greater work turnover and job attrition losses, which are not replaced due
to ostensible economic distress, thus creating major job demotivation, lowered morale and increased
job dissatisfaction among current employees, impacting their job productivity, performance and
profitability. Although the exercise is being done humanely, studies indicate that it can cause
employment induced fear psychosis and other negatives that can affect employees performance (Ali,
Jan, 2012; Farooq Farooq, 2014). The

The Seneca Falls Convention In The 1800 s
Seneca Falls In the early 1800 s, many of the women in the United States were plain and simple
getting fed up with their lack of writes. Men had dominated everything in the past and they were still
continuing to do so. Women were finally ready to come forward and voice their opinions about how
men and women are created equal. It was now time for women to go out and become what ever they
want to be and not have to worry about the fact that they are females. The Seneca Falls Convention
would soon be one of the biggest victories for women s rights. The Seneca Falls Convention of 1848,
the first women s rights convention in American history, was an outgrowth of almost twenty years of
female activity in social reform. Elizabeth Cady ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is how women let the government know that they wanted the equal rights that they so much
deserved. One point that Elizabeth Cady Stanton makes is that the man never permitted her to exercise
her inalienable right to the elective franchise. This is very true seeing that women were not even
allowed to work because their place was at the home where they were to raise the family. If women
did work for a part time they would not get even close to the amount of money that males get. She
also states that he has taken from her all right in property, even the wages that she earns. Women at
this time were not allowed to own property. She also states that he has withheld her from her rights,
which are given to the most ignorant and degraded men, which even includes foreigners. This meant
even if you were the smartest, kindest, and most willing to work hard woman alive, you still would be
treated worse than the least respected man. What all of this means is that at this time women were be
deprived of pretty much every right that they were given by god. The Seneca Falls was the beginning,
which sparked a bunch of conventions that would follow every year. Eventually it worked, and women
started getting custody of children, and the government was more favorable

importance of promises are the most relevant of these values in the 21st century. Humility is important
for a number of reasons. Primarily, it helps you succeed. If you very overly prideful, you wouldn t see
any use in practicing skills or learning information, because you would have the sense that could do it
all already. The value of family plays a crucial role in society today as well, as many people share
close bonds with others in their family. This ensures that people always have someone who they can

strengthening relationships with others. The myth of Phaethon and the Sun Chariot helped the Greeks

increase if more people used the buildings, or decrease if they are used less. Taking people into

economic factors that could increase costs on the project is inflation, maintenance cost, and a longer

All of these assumptions, if changed, can change the predicted MARR, and should be considered

Story Of Jonah Research Paper
What is the first thing that pops into your head when you think of the story of Jonah? Most people will

of Jonah starts out with a man who worshiped God. Then, is called on by God to help the city of

story, we are able to learn a great lesson about God and his relationship with Jonah along with Jonah s
remarkable story.
Jonah, son of Amittai, lived in Israel during the reign of Jeroboam 2, around 793 753 B.C. In the
Bible, Jonah s family is not mentioned much and they are only known as the parents of the prophet
Jonah. Jonah was a strong follower of God and he served the Lord gladly. At the time, Assyria was a
threat to Jonah s city. So, when Jonah s contemporaries, Amos and Hosea, said that God was going to
use Assyria as an instrument of punishment against his people, the Israelites were slightly glad. That is

Difference between a Mutual Fund and an Index Fund
Mutual Funds vs. Index Funds New Imperatives for the small individual investor and the general
public BY: Allen Jackson Document outline: Introduction How does this issue relate to public
finance? What is a mutual fund? What is an index fund? Shortcomings of the mutual fund Why index
funds are better long term investments Conclusion Introduction To begin, the stock market has been an
arena notorious for its extreme wealth creation. In today s news, the small investor is inundated with
information regarding particular countries, individual companies, and future macroeconomic
predictions in regards to the stock market. With all this information, the small investor is left hopeless
to sift through it all, in hopes of finding the particular asset that can secure retirement, pay for a child s
education, or provide a stable life. To the small investor s detriment however, many of them do not
have the time, expertise or inclination to study individual companies in hopes of determining which
one merits his or her hard earned money. Even more important, the few dollars the investor does have
to invest must be invested in a manner that does not lose him or her any money. In such instances, the
investor must now work even harder to cover any loses incurred and still afford to live comfortably in
retirement. As such, the investor forgoes this headache of stock picking and elects to give his money
to a mutual fund manager. This action on the surface seems correct,

Administrative controls are to ensure people understand and follow the policies and procedures.
Preventative controls try to stop threats from trying to use a vulnerability to gain access to the network

corrective controls reduces the effects of a threat on the system. The most common malicious attack
and threat are from viruses and other malware. There are different types of viruses to protect a
network and computers from and viruses can get into the network in different ways, mostly by email
and websites on the internet. The best strategy for dealing with the risk for viruses and other malware
would be risk mitigation. Viruses and other malware cannot be avoided or transferred to another
business since our computers and network is here in the business for people to utilize. Viruses are also
not an acceptable risk, the damages from viruses will outweigh the money spent to protect the network
and computers. For these reasons, the strategies of risk assignment, risk acceptance, and risk
avoidance are not appropriate to use to mitigate the risk. Antivirus software can be purchased and
placed on the computers to help prevent viruses infections would be cheaper than money spent on the

Harriet Jacobs s Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl: A Harrowing Escape from Abuse
During the Antebellum period, our young slave girl, in Harriet Jacobs s novel Incidents in the Life of a
Slave Girl, seeks release from the horrors of a cruel, sadistic white plantation owner (vii) in a cruel,
sadistic world that sees her as nothing more than property. The psychological tribulation Harriet
Jacobs endures makes her a sympathetic character for the abolitionist movement spearheaded by the
north. She is faced and burdened with the issues of self identity, self preservation, and freedom, yet
she is unrelenting in her determination to secure a life in which she has sole control. The outdoors
gave the young protagonist, Chris McCandless, in Jon Krakauer s Into the Wild, room to explore and
find himself before his untimely death. His qualities make him an admirable character (though he was
sometimes naïve in his actions), and his death makes him a martyr to the cause

What Are Some Examples Of Masculinity In Hemingway s Stories
In Hemingway s stories, there are many examples of masculinity and how it can affect a story. It could
affect how it s read, how people act, and even the outcome of the story. Masculinity is a very
important part of Hemingway s stories and it would be completely different without the aspect. In
Hemingway s stories, masculinity is usually portrayed in ways of bravery and stoicism. In The Snows
of Kilimanjaro, the main character is about to die and he is in his death bed. He goes on a journey to
redeem himself of everything he has done so that he can die peacefully. In A Day s Wait, the
protagonist is stoic in the face of death, in The Gambler, The Nun, and The Radio, the two people that
got shot were completely different in the way that one was cowering even though he wouldn t die
from the injury and the other one was facing the pain even though he had a low chance to come out of

The Ethics Of The Bhopal Disaster
In the Business Ethics Foundation Terms class (September 2nd 2014), we discussed the ethical
implications of the Bhopal disaster on December 2nd and 3rd, 1983. A plant that belonged to Union
Carbide subsidiary had a chemical explosion, killing 10,000 lives (conservatively) and affecting the
livelihood of local and their descendants. Although many reasons have been offered up to try to
explain this disaster such as the poor establishment of the manufacturing plant, less stringent labor
laws, non exist environment laws, as well as the negligence in educating the public and medical
facilities in Bhopal about the fatality of the pesticide. It is my opinion that the government should also
have placed strict boundary rules to limit populations moving into the possible disaster zone. The
government of India s negligence lies in one or both of the following: not assessing the risk of
building a manufacturing plant close to a populated city, ignoring the assessed risk inherent in the
chemicals being manufactured, and jeopardizing the environment and population of Bhopal. This is
not to say that the Union Carbide and its subsidiary were blameless, however the Government of India
s lack of responsibility for its citizens can be proved when they underrepresented the victims in the
UCC s settlement actions in 1989. Due to these reasons, I will argue in the following paragraphs that
the Government of India has more responsibility than Union Carbide in not only the tragedy but also

The World Of International Relations
Just as this book serves as a great introduction to the world of international relations, the first chapter
does a great job of exploring what the book will cover. It covers the many viewpoints of international
relations. There are many concepts and terms that the chapter covers which can help one understand
politics. Some of these key concepts are cognitive dissonance, mirror images, and enduring rivalries.
Many key terms that increase one s knowledge of world politics that are covered in this chapter are
actors, power, and sovereignty. World politics can affect us more than we may think. In the siege of
Lebanon during the 1982 Lebanon War a US backed Israeli army gave Osama Bin Laden inspiration
for an event that changed the world. As I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
International organizations and courts were even established. Sadly these organizations did not hold
up in the years following their creation. The rather quick demise of liberalism contributed to World
War II which would go on to have massive effects on the world for years to come. In chapter three the
many theories of international decision making are covered. There are many influences on the
decision making process and they are the current global conditions, internal characteristics of the state,
and an actor s leadership. The three models of decision making are also covered and they are decision
making as a rational choice, bureaucratic politics, and impactful leaders. There are also factors,
domestic and global, that affect policy decisions and they include military capabilities, economic
conditions, types of government, global distribution of power, and geopolitical powers. In 1962 during
the Cuban missile crisis President Kennedy was faced with a situation that, if handled wrong, could
end the world. When deciding on proper responses he would have to consider many of the factors that
are discussed in the chapter like military capabilities. Thankfully Kennedy considered the factors and
decided on actions that would not lead to a conflict with the Soviet Union. Rivalries and relations of
the great powers are explored in chapter four. It begins by explaining long cycle theory and hegemons.
Then the causes and consequences of world war

The Battle Of The Midway
The Battle of Midway The battle of midway was arguably the most important battle in the pacific
because it shifted the tides of WWII from and American defensive to an American offensive in the
Pacific. Midway Island is located in the North Pacific Ocean, 2010km (1250 mi) northwest of
Honolulu. The two islands (east and sand island) combined have an overall area of 25sq miles. For
such a small island, the battle was one of the largest of WWII. The Battle of Midway occurred only six
months after Pearl Harbor. After the attack on Peal Harbor Japan s fleet with ten aircraft carriers
dwarfed the United States four. The Battle of Midway is best explained and understood by focusing on
the people involved. Historians say that the Japanese plan was extremely complicated, consisting of
many attacks starting simultanisley. historians also say that the japenese fleet out gunned the
Americans heavenly. After the Pearl Harbor America was crippled and with out the large military
presence of America in the pacific america and the islands it controlled were left vonrable. The
Japenese we re hoping to suprise the forces on midway island. The original japenese plan was to bomb
the island of midway into submission then invade with overwhelming forces. The battle of midway
turned the tide in the pacific war. Midway island was important to the United States for many reasons.

Latinx Feminist Theory
The term feminism encapsulates a vast variety of topics important to women s rights. Unfortunately,
feminist theory is often talked about within the restrictions of a reproductive binary. Latinx feminist
theory is more than just a reproduction binary. As women of color, Latinx women have historically
been undermined and excluded from social narratives. Latinx women however, challenge various
forms of oppression, such as the perpetuations of sexism, racism, and violence, by sharing their
testimonios to the world a vulnerable yet incredibly strong form of resistance. This specialized theory
addresses many of the barriers that intersect and impact Latinx women on a daily and generational
basis. Evident in my resistance poem, through the use ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I demonstrate the importance of allywork to the Latinx feminist theory in stanza six by which I call for
readers to help Liberate not only women, but anyone oppressed. Despite the differences of our
experiences, Latinx feminist theory believes that our differences should serve as an incentive to
establish solidarity towards justice, not another borderland to cross. Similar to the reproductive justice
theory s utilization of the Ubuntu philosophy, the belief in the universal bond of sharing that connects
all humanity (201 RJT) Latinx feminist theory embraces unity as a direct path to the realization of the
left world concept. Furthermore, I emphasize the essentiality of allywork to the theory through the

The Trump Wall Controversy
The 2016 presidential election has created much controversy as both parties were viciously attacking
each other throughout the campaign season; one of the initiatives that the Republican Party was the
wanting to pursue was the building of a wall that will border the United States and Mexico. Although
the source of this money is unaware, Trump s plan is make the country of Mexico to pay for it as it
stretches nearly two thousands miles long and has a great expense (Drew).
This action that Trump wishes to put into place is negative to outlook on the United States and draws a

In fact, Stew Magnuson an author and journalist explains the drastically long period of time that it will
take for a hardship like this The Trump Wall will never be completed as envisioned before the new
president leaves office even if he were to win a second term. In fact, it s a safe bet to say a nearly
2,000 mile long wall on the U.S. border with Mexico is a pipe dream as the workers to put on this wall
to make it happen in less than 8 years it would cost even more to the budget of 1.2 billion dollars to
buy materials for this enormous wall (Magnuson). As President Trump claims it will take at least a
year to accomplish this wall, it is believed that it will take longer than possible a decade of work
(Moller). With the preparation, the workers, and the funding to make this project set into play, will still
take over a decades of work; in fact, it took the Chinese 2,000 years to build the great wall (Griffiths).
Although, the executive order is signed for the building of the wall, still many disagree on its
intentions to fix a not as important problem in society today. Many do not agree according to a poll by
the Washington post that states Washington Post ABC News poll: Sixty percent of adults oppose
building a wall along the U.S. Mexico border, while 37 percent support it. Of these respondents, 47
percent are strongly against it. It is worth noting that 76 percent of Trump voters support it, while 91
percent of Hillary Clinton voters don t. But what the January poll also found is that even among those
who supported neither of the candidates, the consensus (69 percent vs. 27 percent) is against building
the wall and even though the

Bullying can be describes as an aggressive behavior from an individual that feels the need to
overpower, and control others, whether physically or mentally. The term bullying is thrown around a
bit excessively these days that we go to extremes when we hear the word, we either ignore it
completely or we go off the handle and want to stamp everyone as a bully. As a society we have
become desensitized to term while at the same time trying to stay politically correct, in other words

has tremendously changed in physical appearance and the idea on how men and women should

what can be done to resolve this. Schools all around America are already busy places, and with the

The Culture At Nickelodeon, Crafted Carefully By Taran
The culture at Nickelodeon, crafted carefully by Taran Swan, was one that could be characterized as
creative, inclusive, heterarchical, and harmonious. Teamwork was of utmost importance in Swan s
Nickelodeon as well as reliability, so employees were able to communicate and work together, while
also focusing on delivering accurate individual contributions. Furthermore, the culture did not offer
preferential treatment to executive managers over lower level employees; instead, it followed a
heterarchical structure of treatment which generated a sense of equality and energized the workplace.
The inclusive nature of the culture was evidenced by what one department head said about their roles,

Additionally, Swan consistently asked questions to force her team members to think broadly about the
implications of their decisions to ensure that they visualize a bigger picture of the potential
consequences and to be able to think of alternatives ahead of time. Swan also encouraged the
individuality of the employees by setting different guidelines for the different focus groups she
established. This ensured that while these teams will collaborate and work together, they will still have
to work individually according to their own guidelines. Swan also emphasized the importance of
communication by leading bi monthly Update Meetings, rotating the meetings leadership based on the
feedback from an internal survey, and opening lines of communication with employees who were
having tensions with other members or who wanted to communicate with Swan directly.
3. Describe Swan s leadership style. What impact has it had on the culture? When assessing Swan s
leadership style, one cannot help but reference Ancona s four leadership capabilities. In the saturated
media market, Swan was quick to prioritize capturing attention and differentiating the brand in order
to convince affiliates and advertisers to choose Nickelodeon over the plethora of other channels.
Furthermore, she knew the importance of signing up advertisers ahead of time, even before there was

Interstitial Migration Of Lymphocytes.
3. Interstitial migration of lymphocytes in non lymphoid organs. 3.1. T cells Targeting infected or
transformed cells in an inflammatory milieu is a complex and multifactorial process. To mediate their
effector functions, primed CD8+ and CD4+ T cells need to migrate into the inflamed organs and
initiate adaptive immune responses. After homing into the inflamed tissue, T cells require presentation
of the cognate antigen MHC complex on the surface of the target cells before effector functions can be
initiated. In case of T cells, the identification and neutralisation of these target cells can be
challenging, as the number of target cells in most cases is much lower than the tissue resident and/or
inflammatory immune cells within the milieu. Moreover, successful initiation of effector T cell
function results in lower abundance of target cells therefore T cells need to scan larger regions within
the tissue for increasingly rare target cells. Similarly, the complex inflammatory environment presents
several other challenges that may impede successful navigation of effector T cells like the presence of
various chemotactic cues, pathogen associated molecular patterns (PAMPs), damage associated
molecular patterns (DAMPs) and alterations in the extracellular matrix (ECM). To successfully
navigate through such a complex inflammatory milieu, T cells have devised novel migratory
strategies. Extravasating T cells in the tissue polarise and migrate at high velocities within the
inflamed

The Negative Impacts Of Food Inseecurity
Introduction
Millions of people every day do not know when they are going to eat their next meal. This brings
upon great stress to households as finding their next meal becomes the priority. The United States
defines this shortage of food in households as food insecurity. The U.S. Department of Agriculture
(USDA) has defined food insecurity as a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active,
healthy life (Coleman Jensen, Rabbitt, Gregory, Singh, 2017). Households that are food insecure will
often skip meals, eat low nutritious dense food, and face high stress levels of making food last until
they are able to buy more food for their home. Food insecurity is a serious issue that is consistently
overlooked and it needs more attention because it has a negative impact on the families.
Literature Review Food insecurity affects every community in the United States. About 12.3% of U.S.
households were considered food insecure in 2016 (United States Department of Agriculture 2017).
This number has not changed much from the 12.7% it was in 2015. Food insecurity can affect anyone,
but certain groups are more vulnerable to this issue. For instance, low income households, the elderly,
children, and immigrants are at highest risk to be food insecure. In particular, it is households with
children that are most affected by food insecurity. The rate for these households was higher than the
national average at 16.5% for the year 2016 (United States Department of Agriculture

  • 3. Pro Choice Of Abortion Valeria Arauza Ms. Cooney English CP10 30 October 2017 Marissa recently found out she was pregnant, she was taking birth control pills as contraceptives to avoid a pregnancy, but she knew she needed to take an emergency contraceptive. Marissa was a pro life activist, meaning she opposed abortions. She, along with all the other pro life supporters, never did accept that people had abortions. People felt the same on the topic as her, they were all completely against abortions and shamed woman who had took part in the practice. She did not even understand why people even thought about having abortions, she believed only egotistical woman wanted them. Until she found out she was pregnant, but knew she did not want to start a family with the man nor did she believe it was the right time, she knew it was a mistake. Marissa was finally in their shoes, she finally understood. Being pro choice is supporting legal abortions, but it is also protecting women s right to choose. Pro choice advocates believe there is nothing wrong with ladies getting to choose to keep their unborn baby or not, and there is nothing wrong with choosing to go through with an abortion. People should become pro choice advocates because a woman should decide her reproductive health care, have access to birth control and emergency contraceptives, and although it s believed abortions are dangerous, having abortions is safer than giving birth. People should become pro choice advocates because the reproductive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Late And Post Renaissance The late and post renaissance was a time dominated by the Medici family, but many other Italian families had their time in power. As the late renaissance ended and the post renaissance era started, the Corsini family gained power and influence under the Medici. With banks in England, offices around Europe, and palazzos in Italy, the family made fast and large steps toward gaining influence and relevance in Italy. While they earned respect on the financial side, they also progressed on the religious side, thus earning them nearly the same amount of power and influence as their Medici counterparts. The Corsini family maintained their status during the Medici rule by developing a high status on the financial and religious sides of life. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He was the first Medici to have served on the Florentine Board and he was also a de facto ruler of Florence. Later in Cosimo s life, the next great Medici, Lorenzo, was born (Encyclopedia Britannica). In 1449, Lorenzo Medici, or Lorenzo, the Magnificent was born. He would prove to be one of the greatest Florentine and Medici rulers, as he was a patron of the arts and accomplished many feats for the great city, this is what made him so popular with the citizens and this helped him to earn higher status and respect for the family. He was also one of the most skilled politicians of the time, but sadly for Florence and the Medicis, he fell ill and died at the young age of 43, This ended the highest period of power for the family. (Encyclopedia Britannica). The financial side of the Corsini family began in the later half of the 15th Century with a bank based in England and helped them to develop a primary financial status to maintain stability under the Medici. When Matteo Corsini originally created the family bank in London, it gave the Corsinis the money to purchase and invest in land back in Tuscany (PrincipeCorsini.com), this act gained preliminary power for the family in Italy. After Mateo had passed, Filippo Corsini ran the bank in London as well as a branch of commercial desks across Europe. • 5. The Killer T Cells When an antigen is detected, several types of cells work together to recognize and respond to it. These cells trigger the B cells to produce antibodies. Antibodies and their responding antigens fit together like a key and a lock. Although antibodies can recognize an antigen and lock onto it, they are not capable of destroying it without help. That is the job of the specific T cells, also called killer cells . The T cells are part of the system that destroys antigens that have been tagged by antibodies or cells that have been infected or somehow changed. T cells are also involved in helping signal other cells of the immune system to do their jobs. B cells recognize current or past antigens, mark what cells are invaders, and produce antibodies for those antigens. The killer T cells are the cells that expel those antigens from the body. Killer T cells have one objective and that is to be the terminator(imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger saying that) of those viruses and antigens in your body. Helper T cells also regulate immunity. are they examples of negative feedback?: I believe that the actions of the T cells and B cells are good examples of negative feedback. Our feedback mechanism detect, check, and respond to any changes in our body. When our bodies are pushed out of homeostasis, negative feedback is an example of our body recovering from it. When we are infected with an illness or when an antigen enters our body, that stimulus generates a negative feedback or immune ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Characteristics Of Canterbury Tales In The Canterbury Tales, Geoffrey Chaucer paints the characters of the General Prologue in a somewhat ironic light, offering cynicism and criticism as the poet through the naïve observations of his own fictional personification. One character portrait that receives Chaucer s cynicism is that of the monk, who, on the first read through, seems to be a jolly monk with a healthy habit of hunting, but on closer inspection is not all that he seems. In this characterization, Chaucer describes the monk as the sporting type, hunting in his free time and being somewhat lax in the strict customs of the church. Although this profile is apt for a healthy man in the late middle ages, this characterization is not appropriate for someone of the cloth, and Chaucer knows this. Monks, in popular culture and in real life, are seen as devoted to the work of God and living a life of asceticism, living their lives away from the normal social sphere and have little to no worldly possessions besides the humble clothes they wear. However, Chaucer describes this monk as having a fine horse with a saddle lined with bells, a pack of keen hunting greyhounds, and sleves purfiled at the hond/ With grys, and that the fynest of a lond (General Prologue 193 194). Chaucer the pilgrim seems to observe the monk s attire as a mark of a healthy man and listens when the monk makes his excuse that he should not be holed up in a monastery and going mad over reading books. Economic meltdowns and adverse recessionary trends are cited as major causes for creating and sustaining employment fear psychosis among non managerial employees working for the City of Nashua Public Works Division, resulting in greater work turnover and job attrition losses, which are not replaced due to ostensible economic distress, thus creating major job demotivation, lowered morale and increased job dissatisfaction among current employees, impacting their job productivity, performance and profitability. Although the exercise is being done humanely, studies indicate that it can cause employment induced fear psychosis and other negatives that can affect employees performance (Ali, Jan, 2012; Farooq Farooq, 2014). Men had dominated everything in the past and they were still continuing to do so. Women were finally ready to come forward and voice their opinions about how men and women are created equal. It was now time for women to go out and become what ever they want to be and not have to worry about the fact that they are females. The Seneca Falls Convention would soon be one of the biggest victories for women s rights. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is how women let the government know that they wanted the equal rights that they so much deserved. One point that Elizabeth Cady Stanton makes is that the man never permitted her to exercise her inalienable right to the elective franchise. This is very true seeing that women were not even allowed to work because their place was at the home where they were to raise the family. If women did work for a part time they would not get even close to the amount of money that males get. She also states that he has taken from her all right in property, even the wages that she earns. Women at this time were not allowed to own property. She also states that he has withheld her from her rights, which are given to the most ignorant and degraded men, which even includes foreigners. This meant even if you were the smartest, kindest, and most willing to work hard woman alive, you still would be treated worse than the least respected man. What all of this means is that at this time women were be deprived of pretty much every right that they were given by god. The Seneca Falls was the beginning, which sparked a bunch of conventions that would follow every year. What Is The Theme Of Phaaethon And The Sun Chriot Phaethon and the Sun Chariot In the myth of Phaethon and the Sun Chariot, Phaethon often brags about the fact that is father is the sun god, Helios. However, many other children doubt this and tease Phaethon. This bothers him, so he demands that his mother, Clymene, give him proof of his paternity. Clymene reassures him, and sends him from Ethiopia to India, where Helios lives. When he arrives, Phaethon is awed by the magnificent palace. He proceeds inside to find his father upon a diamond throne. Helios was thrilled by Phaethon s request to establish legitimacy, and tells him that he will grant any favor to Phaethon. Difference between a Mutual Fund and an Index Fund Mutual Funds vs. Index Funds New Imperatives for the small individual investor and the general public BY: Allen Jackson Document outline: Introduction How does this issue relate to public finance? What is a mutual fund? What is an index fund? Shortcomings of the mutual fund Why index funds are better long term investments Conclusion Introduction To begin, the stock market has been an arena notorious for its extreme wealth creation. In today s news, the small investor is inundated with information regarding particular countries, individual companies, and future macroeconomic predictions in regards to the stock market. With all this information, the small investor is left hopeless to sift through it all, in hopes of finding the particular asset that can secure retirement, pay for a child s education, or provide a stable life. To the small investor s detriment however, many of them do not have the time, expertise or inclination to study individual companies in hopes of determining which one merits his or her hard earned money. Even more important, the few dollars the investor does have to invest must be invested in a manner that does not lose him or her any money. In such instances, the investor must now work even harder to cover any loses incurred and still afford to live comfortably in retirement. As such, the investor forgoes this headache of stock picking and elects to give his money to a mutual fund manager. This action on the surface seems correct, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 21. What Are Some Examples Of Masculinity In Hemingway s Stories In Hemingway s stories, there are many examples of masculinity and how it can affect a story. It could affect how it s read, how people act, and even the outcome of the story. Masculinity is a very important part of Hemingway s stories and it would be completely different without the aspect. In Hemingway s stories, masculinity is usually portrayed in ways of bravery and stoicism. In The Snows of Kilimanjaro, the main character is about to die and he is in his death bed. He goes on a journey to redeem himself of everything he has done so that he can die peacefully. In A Day s Wait, the protagonist is stoic in the face of death, in The Gambler, The Nun, and The Radio, the two people that got shot were completely different in the way that one was cowering even though he wouldn t die from the injury and the other one was facing the pain even though he had a low chance to come out of it alive. The Short and Happy Life of Francis Macomber also portrayed acts of bravery, the main character is brave enough to go on another hunt to redeem himself from his cowardice he had when he was facing his foe. Masculinity is a big part of all these stories but it will be the same in each story. They could all be different but even if it s a small part, it will still affect the story. A plant that belonged to Union Carbide subsidiary had a chemical explosion, killing 10,000 lives (conservatively) and affecting the livelihood of local and their descendants. Although many reasons have been offered up to try to explain this disaster such as the poor establishment of the manufacturing plant, less stringent labor laws, non exist environment laws, as well as the negligence in educating the public and medical facilities in Bhopal about the fatality of the pesticide. It is my opinion that the government should also have placed strict boundary rules to limit populations moving into the possible disaster zone. The government of India s negligence lies in one or both of the following: not assessing the risk of building a manufacturing plant close to a populated city, ignoring the assessed risk inherent in the chemicals being manufactured, and jeopardizing the environment and population of Bhopal. This is not to say that the Union Carbide and its subsidiary were blameless, however the Government of India s lack of responsibility for its citizens can be proved when they underrepresented the victims in the UCC s settlement actions in 1989. Due to these reasons, I will argue in the following paragraphs that the Government of India has more responsibility than Union Carbide in not only the tragedy but also for ... To mediate their effector functions, primed CD8+ and CD4+ T cells need to migrate into the inflamed organs and initiate adaptive immune responses. After homing into the inflamed tissue, T cells require presentation of the cognate antigen MHC complex on the surface of the target cells before effector functions can be initiated. In case of T cells, the identification and neutralisation of these target cells can be challenging, as the number of target cells in most cases is much lower than the tissue resident and/or inflammatory immune cells within the milieu. Moreover, successful initiation of effector T cell function results in lower abundance of target cells therefore T cells need to scan larger regions within the tissue for increasingly rare target cells. Similarly, the complex inflammatory environment presents several other challenges that may impede successful navigation of effector T cells like the presence of various chemotactic cues, pathogen associated molecular patterns (PAMPs), damage associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) and alterations in the extracellular matrix (ECM). To successfully navigate through such a complex inflammatory milieu, T cells have devised novel migratory strategies. Extravasating T cells in the tissue polarise and migrate at high velocities within the inflamed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We left our tire and wheel near the texas border. Somehow it had become more square than round (Yates 130). Some racers such as J.J and Victor were very laid back and were in this for only the fun. This quote is an example of a problem faced on the road. They had tire failure for the second time but they left their supplies in Texas thinking they would save gas as they were not expecting to need to change tires again. This is where the curious problem solving actions come to life in this novel. These guys don t know what s going on (Yates 188). This quote is from a part of the novel where two of the racers were caught by the police, and the male character, Doc thinks up a quick excuse for his high speed. These are Doc s words trying to calm down his companion, Pamela who is scared as they were going fast enough to be arrested. Doc calmly tells the police that Pamela is very ill and they need to be to the hospital in a very short amount of time, the cop says to slow it down a bit, but let them go on their way. • 36. The Negative Impacts Of Food Inseecurity Introduction Millions of people every day do not know when they are going to eat their next meal. This brings upon great stress to households as finding their next meal becomes the priority. The United States defines this shortage of food in households as food insecurity. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has defined food insecurity as a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life (Coleman Jensen, Rabbitt, Gregory, Singh, 2017). Households that are food insecure will often skip meals, eat low nutritious dense food, and face high stress levels of making food last until they are able to buy more food for their home. Food insecurity is a serious issue that is consistently overlooked and it needs more attention because it has a negative impact on the families. Literature Review Food insecurity affects every community in the United States. About 12.3% of U.S. households were considered food insecure in 2016 (United States Department of Agriculture 2017). This number has not changed much from the 12.7% it was in 2015. Food insecurity can affect anyone, but certain groups are more vulnerable to this issue. For instance, low income households, the elderly, children, and immigrants are at highest risk to be food insecure. In particular, it is households with children that are most affected by food insecurity. The rate for these households was higher than the national average at 16.5% for the year 2016 (United States Department of Agriculture ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The nine chapters on the mathematical art is an anonymous work, and its origins are not clear. (Jing Fang,Liu Xin, and Zhang Heng, People guess one of these three people is the author of book.). Yet it is only one Chinese mathematics book in Zu s age. Zu have studied mathematical in this book and use it s equations and theorems to calculated Pi, sphere s equation, completed Daming calender, and other mathematical or astronomy works. Shuishu(The Method of Interpolation) is a mathematics book by Zu Chongzhi and Zu Geng(Zu Chongzhi s son). This book become math textbook at the Tang dynasty and it also revised problem of The Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art. This book also recorded Zu s equation to calculated Pi and area of sphere, but it is lost in Song s dynasty(The period after Tang s dynasty). Therefore, Nobody know how Zu calculate the Pi and the area of sphere.Historians believe if Shuishu is survived, the history of Pi will be change and we can have another way to calculate corrected value of Pi.
