2. The way we brought in our masthead from our front
cover is by dragging the layers that the masthead had
onto a new tab with a transparent background and
save it as masthead so its easy to find. Then, you come
back onto InDesign on the double page spread and
then place it onto anywhere you want on the page
and can change the size as you paste it.

Then once place
you can double
tap it to resize.

3. This tool helps to add text of any size on any size.
Different sizes, colours and columns can be added
to make the article more interesting for people to
read. But we will write our article on word and
convert the typography to InDesign by going onto
‘type’ and then ‘fill Placeholder text’ to convert
all text onto double page spread. There is then an
icon that indicates whether or not all the text was
able to fit into that box to you press the box on
the other text box and click anywhere on the
filled text box.

4. To get columns you then have to press the paragraph icon under the ‘A’
Then along the bar you can add how ever many columns necessary
to your article by using the up and down arrows

5. You create a normal text box again and add a
page number in there, then place outside the
margins.
Creating a by-line is similar to adding page
numbers because you create another text box
and then type in your name
To change the font or size you use

6. To do this you got to get the number from 0 to 3 or 4

7. You’ll need to double tap the ‘T’ to change
colour of the text
Then this will appear to allow you to change the colour

8. You could press ‘Add CMYK Swatch’ to add that specific colour to your swatch
