HOW TO IMPROVE LISTENING SKILL?  ‘ Khantaishir-Erdem’
Why is listening comprehension so important? Students learn a lot of vocabulary and grammar from listening activities.  Listening is one of the most difficult skills to learn because students must listen at someone else’s pace.  It is the only skill over which they have little or no control.     Students communicate better in the target language when they understand.  If they cannot understand there is no communication taking place.  
So how do you teach students to become effective listeners? ,[object Object]
Next, plan effective listening activities that include:  ,[object Object]
During listening activities
Post-listening activities
Listening assessment   ,[object Object]
Assign listening activities for homework such as:  ,[object Object]
Listen to audio clips on a tape, CD, or online
Listen to English radio
Watch English TV
The more students practice listening comprehension, the more their skills will improve!!!
Listening activities With songs
Activity-1:  Staring at the moon so blue Turning all my thoughts to you I was without hopes or dreams I tried to dull an inner scream but you Saw me through  Walking on a path of air See your faces everywhere As you melt this heart of stone You take my hand to guide me home and now I'm in love Listen carefully and put the sentences in the correct order.

How to improve listening skill

  • 1. HOW TO IMPROVE LISTENING SKILL? ‘ Khantaishir-Erdem’
  • 2. Why is listening comprehension so important? Students learn a lot of vocabulary and grammar from listening activities. Listening is one of the most difficult skills to learn because students must listen at someone else’s pace.  It is the only skill over which they have little or no control.    Students communicate better in the target language when they understand.  If they cannot understand there is no communication taking place.
