Sebastian Bach Inspiration
Johann Sebastian Bach was an inspiration and influence to those of his time and those today. He was a
German composer who played the violin, organ, harpsichord, and sang. He was, arguably, one of the
greatest composers in western musical history. Bach went through many obstacles in his life to
become successful, and that is why he is such an inspiration to me. Bach was born on March 31, 1865
in Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany into a family of eight children. Only five of the eight survived;
therefore, Bach had three brothers and a sister. He grew up into a very religious and musically inclined
family. Johann Amrosius Bach, who was Johann Sebastian Bach s father, was the director of the town
musicians, which was a teacher and a leader of all ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

pushed through his struggles and even played while he was blind, but he died of a stroke in 1750. We
do not know what specific pieces he wrote while he was blind; sources just say he continued to

Ancient Greece Physical Geography Essay
Geography is the study of the physical features on Earth, it includes landscapes, people, places and
environments. Geographic features can positively affect the development of civilizations. The
civilizations that are impacted by the geographic features are ancient Greece and Egypt. Greece
existed from 750 BCE to 600 CE in Europe and Egypt existed from 2575 to 332 BCE in Africa. The
geographic features of seas and rivers positively affected the development of ancient Greece and
Egypt.
Geography has always had a great influence on Greece and its inhabitants, one of the geographic
features would be the seas. Seas were viewed as significant features in Greece due to the fact that they
made transportation and trading easier. For example, the Aegean Sea, the Ionian Sea, and the
neighboring Black Sea were important ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The geographic feature of the river had positive effects on Egypt by providing annual floods that
brought rich soil to the land, foods, easy for transportation and exchanging of products from different
places. For example, every year the Egyptians would wait eagerly for the flood to come and soak the
land because the river brought rocks and dirt from the river bottom which made the valleys fertile, or
good for the crops to grow. The river not only provide water for the Egyptians to drink and used for
irrigation system, but also brought food by the fish in the river. Another benefit is that the river made
transportation easier using boats and barges due to the fact that the Egyptians were able to send
officials or armies to towns along the river. Another positive effect would be how the merchants
exchange or trade the products of Africa, the middle east, and the Mediterranean region by traveling
through the Nile River by sailboats. This demonstrates how the river made it possible for trading
around for goods using sailboats and

Who s To Blame For Titanic Research Paper
Do you know who s to blame for the Titanic? The Titanic was the largest ship, at the time, and it was
also told to be unsinkable. The Titanic belonged to The White Star Cross line, along with her sisters,
Olympic and Britannic. The Titanic hit the iceberg April 14 and went down April 15th. J.Bruce Ismay
is at fault for the sinking of the Titanic. Ismay is at fault because he owned the Titanic, he left the ship,
he declined 48 lifeboats.
For example, he owned the Titanic. In the article it states, Also consider that Ismay owned the White
Star Line, which means he owned the Titanic. Also in the article, If a person owns something that is
used for the public, and it fails in some way, or if death or injury occurs on that public property, it
seems whoever owns it should take some responsibility. In other words, the Titanic was used for
public use, so if it causes injury or death, the owner should be held responsible. He not only owned it
but he had a say in some of the construction. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Biographical Information
Mamie Phipps and Kenneth Bancroft Clark are best known for their doll studies, and the use of their
findings regarding the effects of racism on the psychological identity of black children in the historic
Brown vs. the Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas case, which lead to the determination that
separate but equal education for black students was unconstitutional. Mamie Phipps Clark was born

Kenneth Bancroft Clark was born July 24, 1914 in the Panama Canal Zone to parents of Jamaican and
West Indian descent (Kennedy, 2015). Like his wife, Kenneth Bancroft Clark also attended Howard
University and then Columbia University where he would become the first black man to earn a Ph.D.
in psychology (Kennedy, 2015). While at Columbia University, he was associated with Gunnar
Myrdal, a Swedish economist known for both his study of race relations and his contributions to
desegregation in the United States (Larson, 2014). Both Clarks are tied to the Civil Rights Movement
and their work is aligned with the social reconstructionist curriculum ideology of the time period.
Both Clarks define the ideal of what W.E.B. Du Bois (1903) hoped to achieve with his Talented Tenth
in that both pursued the highest levels of education and then sought to use that education as a means of
improving the lives of black people, particularly black children. Kenneth Bancroft Clark was
committed to the promotion of social action and believed that change needed to occur in the behavior
of both white and well as black people (Freeman, 2008, p. 419).
Theoretical Information
The psychological work of both Clarks is focused in the area of racial identity among black youth
(Gibbons Van Nort, 2009, p. 29). They sought to provide evidence of the detrimental effects of a
society where social norms are biased toward white culture. Though the Clarks are most widely

assets, all were made with hardened tempered glass. This paper will discuss a need to remove current
glass and replace with automotive safety glass to reduce hazards to boat crews. Recently there have
been several mishaps involving RBS 29 windows breaking. One such incident in Old House Channel
in the Pamlico Sound of North Carolina where the windshield broke in from a swamped bow, and
incoming wave caused the windshield to break lacerate the face of both crewmembers in the front

Everyday Use by Alice Walker an Analysis

Everyday Use Analysis
Everyday Use is a compelling story of a mother s conflicting relationships with her two daughters.
Maggie, which the mother feels contains more practical and traditional ways of living life and then
Dee her oldest and most promising daughter, who she feels has broken away from tradition and has
lost a lot of their heritage. At first glance you would see this as the normal mother daughter spat of
maybe the wild child versus the little miss do right. This story holds a much deeper and important
meaning. Everyday use tells the struggle to keep hold of African American culture in the late 1960 s
early 1970 s, when most African Americans were searching for their roots. Many ... Show more

Dee even had to ask Didn t Uncle Buddy whittle it out of a tree you all used to have ? She did not
know herself, and when her boyfriend (or husband) asked who also made the dasher. She couldn t
reply, instead Maggie did stating Aunt Dee s first husband whittled the dash , and that His name was
Henry, but they called him Stash. This is an inherent meaning that with the transformation to the Black
Panther movement our heritage was being forgotten.
The quilts in this story represent African American heritage, they symbolize the pain, tears and
struggle African Americans had to go through in the United States. The sister s conflict over who
should have the quilts shows the struggle between the Black Power movement and the African
American, and who should define its heritage. Dee when asked what she would do with the quilts, she
stated Hang them . Dee also vagrantly argued that her sister Maggie would use put the quilts to
everyday use . See Dee s argument represents the Black Power movement by using the quilts to hang
as a status symbol, to remind her of the social and economic status she has currently obtained. Maggie
s use symbolizes the African American culture to purely remember the heritage not to rank with
statuses or to compare. Alice Walker distinctively allows us to know which argument she feels is

[http://www.deanstalk.net/deanstalk/2006/01/the_theory_of_e.html] Competitive advantages give a
company an edge over its rivals and an ability to generate greater value for the firm and its
shareholders. The more sustainable the competitive advantage, the more difficult it is for competitors
to neutralize the advantage. There are two main types of competitive advantages: comparative
advantage and differential advantage. Comparative advantage, or cost advantage, is a firm s ability to
produce a good or service at a lower cost than its competitors, which gives the firm the ability sell its
goods or services at a lower price than its competition or to generate a larger margin on sales. A
differential advantage is created when a firm s products or services differ from its competitors and are
seen as better than a competitor s products by customers.

The Ontological Argument
The Ontological Argument
In my view, the belief that the mere concept of God carries real existence with it is sound. I would
deploy the same argument as a cogent proof of the existence of God.
The belief of a greater perfect being is what brings forth this argument. This idea is seen in most
religions all over the world, the existence of God , except in atheism which denies the existence of a
supreme being. As proof, I bring forth Descartes claim in the Fifth Meditation in which he
demonstrates the existence of God from the idea of a supremely perfect being. He explains further the
contradiction in believing in a supremely perfect being who lacks existence as believing in a triangle
whose interior angles do not add up to 189 degrees. He

Futility In Aylmer s Irony
Martin Fitzpatrick states that Georgiana is a woman of perfect beauty, but her only flaw is the
birthmark on her left cheek, shaped like a tiny pink hand To a Practised Touch : Miles Coverdale and
Hawthorne s Irony, (American Transcendental Quarterly 14.1 [2000]: 27 46). However, Her husband
Aylmer prizes her in marriage, he becomes, after their marriage, obsessed with the idea of fixing that
blemish and providing her absolutely perfect. Aylmer prepares a portion for Georgiana in order to
remove the birthmark and release her from the hand that clenched tighter on her cheek. Fitzpatrick
argues, If we alter the question slightly, what is the story about? We might answer: Aylmer s hatred of
women generally or Georgiana specifically, the futility

Sun Also Rises War
All for fun. Just for fun. This quotation taken from the novel, The Sun Also Rises illustrates Ernest
Hemingway s distaste for the effects of war and needless violence on the human condition that is
reflected in the experiences of Jake Barnes, the main character of the boook. At one point in the story,
Jake witnesses firsthand a man being stabbed to death by a bull during a bull rush and later on
recounts the event to a waiter of a nearby cafe. It is here where Hemingway establishes his personal
negative sentiment towards the killing as a metaphor for war and violence through the use of various
literary elements including repetition, imagery and tone. Upon perusing this passage, the reader
immediately notices the repetition of specific ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Jake first meets the waiter, he is asked where the man was stabbed. Jake replies by placing
...one hand on the small of my back and the other on my chest... Here, the reader can visualize the
moment of impact for the man and the bull as well as the pain that the man must have felt in his final
moment of life. A few lines later, when the waiter brings Jake a coffee and milk pot, he pours both
liquids through the long sprouts in two streams into the big cup. The two streams in this case reflect
the streams of blood that gushed out of the man once he was stabbed while the contrast in the dark
shade of the coffee and the white color of the milk reflect the opposing forces of life and death,
fighting until the end where death ultimately won. Furthermore, before walking away to tend to other
customers, the waiter imitates Jake s action earlier and places his hand on the small of his back. as if
envisioning himself in that man s situation. This moment indicates the pity and sympathy that the
waiter feels toward the man as well as his profound aversion to the bull rush. At the same time, this
moment could have also displayed Hemingway s own aversion to war and its incessant killing of
innocent people. The reader can infer that through the waiter s actions, Hemingway is able to express
his own lingering negativity towards the violence. As such, imagery throughout the passage conveys
certain details about the death of the man as well as the authors thoughts on the event as a

Relationship between St Augustine and Plato
Discuss the relationship between St. Augustine and Plato Great philosophers over time have shared
ideas about their lifetime. There were no more captivating philosophers than Plato and Augustine who
fed off one another. Even though they were born at different times, their ideas impacted the life they
lived in and future lives. St. Augustine was a student of the wise Plato, who fed off his ideas and
created his own form of philosophy. Plato on the other hand orbited the idea of the theory of forms
which, later St. Augustine incorporated into his beliefs. St. Augustine used the notion of god to
resemble his ideas, as well as Plato s and a mix of Christianity to incorporate his own knowledge. The
philosophical views, the ideas of good and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another similarity they both share is the position of life is really death. To them the afterlife is the
heaven or paradise and earth is just preparing us to get there. Plato describes that life on earth is to
prepare the soul for existence in the afterlife. Saint Augustine shares a similar view in that who knows
where people and bodies came from. Did god create us or did we just magically show up. After people
die they can leave their life on earth behind them and spend eternity with god. The free soul can go to
heaven where his bodily desires will no longer impede his attempts at reaching the true joy of
knowing God. Augustine s views are enforced through Christ and Christianity. The time periods
brought different perspectives Christianity was very powerful in the time of St. Augustine and was not
around when Plato was alive. To Augustine, Christ was God in human form, and his death showed
God s infinite mercy, as it presented Christians with the fact that God is within reach. Both Plato and
Augustine offer unusual conceptions of what one must acquire to live a truly happy life. While the
conventional view of happiness normally pertains to wealth, financial stability, and material
possessions, Plato and Augustine suggest that true happiness is rooted in something independent of
objects or people. Though dissimilar in their notions of that actual root, each respective philosophy
views the attaining of

How School and Music Has Made Me a Better Person
When I was in elementary school, I was passionate in music. After I entered high school, I have been
told by my family and friends that I cannot make a living through music, so I decided to look for a
different path for myself. I studied in science at high school and graduating in Finance from
University. I cannot deny that education imparted by schools have helped me to balance my life and
my personal goals when I grow older. I totally agree with Elliot schools are essentially institutions
created to serve the interests of the society (Eisner, 1985, p.74). Our public schools have evolved
historically to educate citizens and to process them into roles for economic production. I have been
going to school for much of my life, I think my schooling has taught me the fundamental knowledge
and skills I needed to survive in the society.
We live in one of the most scientifically and technologically advanced countries in the world. The
scientific temper, academic environment and spirit of excellence make our education system one of
the best in the world. From elementary to higher education institutions, the existing curriculum
prepared me garnering high examination results and also provided the skills I needed in day to day
life. Besides being taught as an efficient and productive citizen, school programs have also processed
me into roles as a good citizen. I was introduced to issues such as global justice, environmental
concerns, and human rights. Although I have not been

Racial Prejudice And Stereotypes
Stereotypes are generalized, usually negative, but sometimes positive, beliefs about a group of people.
Prejudice unjustifiably applies stereotypes to a singe member of the group based on their association
with that group. Everyone has different amounts of prejudice, and though most people will not admit
to being prejudiced, every single person is prejudiced to some degree. Prejudice can exist at two
different levels, an implicit and an explicit level. Though most people will deny any explicit
prejudices, everyone harbors implicit prejudices. Research has shown that people who deny racial
prejudice often make negative associations known as implicit racial associations. One cause of
negative racial associations is ingroup bias. Since the beginning of time, people have felt the need to
belong to certain groups, which lead to prejudice by splitting people into us and them, us being the
ingroup, and them being the outgroup. The ingroup, or us, are people who share a common identity,
and the outgroup, or them, is anyone who does not share this identity or belong to the same group.
Ingroup bias develops shortly after identifying ingroups and outgroups. Prejudice is something that is
very prevalent in everyday life. One example of prejudice that has been big recently is the prejudice
white law enforcement officers have against African Americans. It has been proven that African
Americans are more than twice as likely to be shot by law enforcement officers

How Did The Crusades Affect The Medieval World
IMPACT OF THE CRUSADES ON THE LATE MEDIEVAL WORLD. The Crusades greatly
impacted economic expansion as well as the expansion of Europe as a whole. Europe regained contact
with the outside world, and as it did so, trade with the Middle East, India, and China brought goods as
well as knowledge. Merchants in Italy converted the ships used to carry crusaders into trade ships that
would sail to the Middle East. The Crusaders introduced textiles, spices, foods products and many
more goods to the Europeans from the Middle East, and through all of this trade came the
development of a money economy. The crusaders brought works from Greek philosophers back to
Europe, where Muslim scholars translated them to Latin which prompted further learning in the West.

Christians were introduced to Arabic philosophy and science, and along with this came new religious
orders and practices. The church clashed with monarchs after their power increased, and after the
church did not reunite with the Byzantine empire, many started to question the church s motives. Now
that people had the knowledge and resources to read the bible, some felt as though this clashed with
the previous actions of the church. Although this seemed like a time for religious tolerance after such a
conflict fueled by faith, the Reconquista in Spain expelled Muslims out of Spain and those who did
not convert to Christianity were burned at the steak. The crusades set the foundation for the Age of
Exploration. While the Chinese had been traveling as far as Arabia and Africa since 618 AD, the
Crusades influenced nations such as Spain to explore new travel. The Spanish had become inspired to

Exploration of Child Labor
Child Labor, a Global Problem with Local Causes Christopher King, Debra Hang Aguayo, India

it is true that children all over the world are waking up and going to work instead of going to school.
As the gap between the rich and poor grows, more children will be forced to give up school for work.
Is there an answer to this problem that will lead to the elimination of the dilemma? Has the practice

Some other major factors that contribute to child labor include parental illiteracy, lack of education,
exploitation of cheap labor, family expectations and traditions, limited choices for women and public
opinion that downplays the risk of early work for children. Children are often given employment
because they are easier to exploit than adults are. Children are considered powerless and paid much
less than their parents who are often unemployed or underemployed. Child labor is often considered a
problem that only affects developing countries, but child labor is a global issue. Asia, Africa and Latin
America have the highest rates of child labor, but the United States, Canada, Europe and other wealthy
nations also employ a small number of child laborers. Some of the most common jobs for child
laborers include domestic servants, factory workers, farmers and miners. In poverty stricken areas, it
is not uncommon for a child to desert school and begin work in order to provide for themselves and
their families. Boys often work in mines, farms and factories, while girls are trained in house duties
and sent off to become domestic servants. Domestic servants are especially at risk of becoming
victims of physical and sexual abuse by their employers. International economic trends have also
increased the amount of child labor in poor, developing countries. Debt, bloated military budgets and
structural adjustment programs imposed by the International

Batesan Mimicry Essay
Batesian mimicry is a form of mimicry where a relatively innocuous organism mimics another
organism: one that its own predators avoid because it is poisonous or otherwise unpalatable (Ruxton
2004). There is selection pressure on the harmless organism to become a closer and closer replica of
its venomous model and yet, in nature, no model is quite perfect (in fact, some are poor
approximations, such as the scarlet kingsnake s cobbled together costume of the vastly more
venomous coral snake). Yet we find even these poor mimics have effectively reduced their species
mortality due to predation, at least, in areas where they live sympatrically with their model (Pfennig
2001). Why should poor mimicry be rewarded with success, and why doesn t there ... Show more

Influential Religious Figures
Influential Religious Figures
Influence is the process of producing effects on the actions, behavior, and opinions of another or
others. Influence plays a major role in world religion, as it is present through the activity of key
figures. History has shown that certain religious figures have influenced the creation of three major
religions: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. These three figures are Jesus Christ, Moses and
Muhammad. These figures have gained many followers worldwide by just simply spreading the word
of their respected God. A follower is a person who follows another in regard to his or her ideas or
belief. Through the holy acts of Jesus Christ, Moses, and Muhammad, each figure is looked upon
highly in their respected religions. The nature of Jesus was filled with humanity and divinity, made
him an outstanding figure in the Christian society. Followers of Christianity believe that Jesus was
sent here to Earth to serve, not to be served. What differs Jesus Christ from Moses and Muhammad is
that, he was not just a prophet he was the Son of God. Jesus explained about God and his fathering
abilities and made it clear to society that every man was a child of God ... Show more content on

the author of the Torah books, whereas Muhammad is the author of many Moslem scriptures. Both of
them influence the society through writing down their ideas. They also claim to be inspired by their
God who used them to pass on messages. Jesus and Muhammad spread their belief through preaching
and teaching and asked followers to continue spreading the word of their God. All three figures have
left an impact in their respected religions. Jesus asked people to love one another and by doing this,
they would be closer to God. Moses

Justice Floral Distribution And A Disaster Recovery Plan...
Justice Floral Distribution has successfully been in business for 2 years now. To insure that the
company remains successful we need to create a disaster plan. It has recently come to my attention
that we do not have one and it is crucial that we create one as soon as possible. In case of an
unforeseen event, which can bring our production to a halt our company needs to recover as rapidly as
possible to continue its services to its clients. Not having a disaster recovery plan in place can put the
company at risk of high financial costs, reputation loss and even greater risks to our employees.
Purpose
We need to be prepared in case of an emergency, whether it is a natural disaster, network outages,
active shooter events, data breaches and more. While doing research, I came upon two other types of
plans that are also essential. They are a business continuity plan and a disaster recovery plan.
According to Business Continuity Institute, Business Continuity is: The strategic and tactical
capability of the organization to plan for and respond to incidents and business disruptions in order to
continue business operations at an acceptable predefined level.

Role Of Punishment In Puritan Society
Theft, murder, and adultery are some of the major crimes in the Puritan society. In the Puritan society
the teaching of God and evading sinful actions was widely encouraged. If any crime or sinful action
was portrayed, desperate measures had to be taken. Due to their holy teachings, Puritans believed the
punishments for any wrongful doing against their teachings should be forcefully handled. For
instance, punishment during the Puritan society were almost always public, to ensure nobody missed
the point (Cox, 2003). One of the most common punishments in the Puritan society was public
whippings. Public whippings were used to serve as consequences for small crimes, such as theft.
Individuals who were sentenced to whippings were entitled to twenty to forty lashes that usually
resulted to blood being shed (NVRHS, 2006). This example above shows how Puritans dealt with the
sinful act of stealing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to the Puritan s society being highly shaped by their religious views, ministers encouraged people
to become aware of others criminal inclinations, in order to prevent other sins or crimes from
occurring (Miller, 2012, p. 1474). Public humiliation involved the branding of one s hand or being
forced to have walk around with a letter stitched on their clothing. For instance, one of the most
familiar consequences was having to wear the letter A if you was charged with adultery as portrayed in
the novel Scarlet Letter. Another way public humiliation was administrated was branding the first
letter of a committed crime on the criminal s hand. For example, when a person was caught stealing
twice they were ordered to be branded with the letter T on the palm of their

Summary Of Elizabeth Barrett Browning s Letter To Napoleon
In Elizabeth Barrett Browning s letter in the direction of Napoleon III regarding the banishment of the
French creator Victor Hugo, she used many exceptional strategies to try and pardon Hugo. some of
tries encompass Browning trying to belittle Napoleon and using sarcasm about how she thinks he s a
robust chief but then gives his terrible movements. near the cease of the letter, however, Browning
includes her admiration in the direction of Napoleon III. on this letter, Browning has more than one
records and other points wherein she will use to counter Napoleon s emotions dealing with victor
Hugo. The English poet, Elizabeth Barrett Browning honestly uses exceptional rhetorical techniques
to petition Napoleon.
Right off the bat, Barrett begins the letter by means of pronouncing I am only a woman and have no
claim on your Majesty s attention except that of the weakest on the strongest. She writes this to inform
how she recognizes that he is more effective than her however even she will be able to see wherein
Napoleon went incorrect. She also pointed out how her being an English poet maximum possibly has

Mary s Submissive Attitude Towards Her Husband
Tension can be an everyday occurrence in the lives of those who are married. This tension can occur
through multiple means and can be detrimental to a relationship. For example, tension in marriage can
come from money problems, infidelity, and unexpected circumstances. However, in some
relationships the tension is caused because of a partners personality being overbearing or selfish. This
paper will look at Mary from Steinbeck s The Winter of Our Discontent , and how her lofty and
submissive attitude causes tension in her marriage with Ethan. Mary s loftiness concerning money
causes marital tension because of her unwillingness to admit mistakes. In the book Mary and Ethan

In the scene where Ethan asks Mary for money to give to Danny, she tells Ethan that she is still not
interested in business, and then she willingly give Ethan a thousand dollars from her own money to
him to use (122). Mary in this scene is very submissive to the judgement of Ethan. However, we must
understand that this submissive attitude by Mary is because she doesn t care for her husband or his
moral health. We can understand this because Ethan first asks her if she doesn t care about the
business. This is important to not because Ethan is trying to suggest to Mary that the business he has
planned could be considered suspicious. However, Mary clearly explains that she doesn t want to
know, and that she is apathetic towards her husband s dealings. This is important because this
apathetic attitude towards business reveals marital tension in that she is indifferent towards her
husband s actions. Indifference in a marriage can lead to many problems in life. For example, if a wife
didn t care where her husband was going at night, and later found he was committing adultery, this
could lead to a big fight or a divorce. Furthermore, Mary s attitude of submissiveness towards her
money shows further her indifference towards her husband and his dealings. She willingly grants a
thousand dollars with no questions asked to him. A thousand dollars back then was a lot of money, and
she clearly doesn t care what her husband will do with the money. Furthermore, we understand that
this money was for Danny, so that he could use it to kill himself. This is a serious breach in moral
conduct, but Mary doesn t care at all. She is revealing that, whether or not, Ethan commits a immoral
act, she is more than willing to let him commit that act, and understanding from the previous
paragraph she even encourages his immoral

The Rights Of Human Rights And Animal Rights
Animals are not suppose to be used as food, clothing, entertainment, experimentation or any other
purpose and that animals deserve consideration and what is in their best interests. Animal right is a
movement that tends to protect animals from being used and abuse by humans. This includes the use
of animals for anything that causes them pain and suffering, such as medical experiments,
imprisonment in circuses and zoos, and fur production. Animal rights support the idea that all animals
are to be treated humanely and away from pain, suffering or murder. They shouldn t be used as food,
fur or entertainment. Animal rights seek to promote treatment of living beings through legislation,
protest campaigns, research public events and other techniques such as celebrity spokesman ship.
Animals are also the creatures living on earth with us. If people say animals should be killed and
served us as food, then why don t we eat human? Human have the same nutrition that could be served,
there s no point to say that killing human is criminal but killing animal is legal. Animals have the right
to live in condition that in benefit and satisfy their nature needs, which include freedom, enough space
and environment. But people draw negative attention to animal related issue; they give out the wholly
false information. For example on one website there was a picture of some sheep gathered into a
holding yard and the caption said that, this is now sheep live all the time. They totally fail to mention
the green field in the picture, with no doubt, it is where the sheep will not be returned once they have
been sheared, or even killed. In today s society, people create some organization for fighting their
government toward freedom and rights. They are fortunate because they have ability to speak for
themselves. How about animals? People are always taking advantages from animals by killing and
entertaining, and sadly they don t have a voice to fight against it. Some of you might say, if animals
cannot be killed for food, everyone will need to become vegetarian, and getting the right amount of
protein per day will be more difficult. And from the traditional Christian view, they also think that god
has created animals for the use of

Descriptive Essay About Love
Finding Love
As I walk into the Homeward Animal Shelter for my dog walking shift, I think of the reason I began
my weekly volunteering. I want to give love, in any way I can, to the animals who have been left by
the ones they love. These animals that I spend an hour and a half with every Sunday need to know that
someone loves them. That they have not been forgotten about and it gets better. After spending the
summer with my aunt and uncle, I learned that. As I watched their newest rescue dog Snoop open up
to me after 3 years and watching his mile stones. For a dog that was abandoned by his family and left
on the street, bounced between the shelter and temporary homes, he has finally found permanent love
in our family.
Snoop s journey into our family began when his family abandoned him and his little chihuahua
brother on the side of the road. They fended for each other for days until they were brought to the
pound. From there they were separated. Where the little Chihuahua went is unknown, but Snoop,
being a pure bread German Shepherd, was taken to Missouri German Shepherd Rescue (MOGS), a
rescue center specializing in Shepherds. His white coat made him easy to love, but after the treatment
of his last family he did not easily love others. Once Snoop had come out of his shell, not so
sheepishly hiding from the shelter staff, he was moved into a foster home. Here in this foster home he
started to become the dog my family knows today. Living with another Shepherd helped him

Iran And The P5 + 1
Negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 began in 2006, to assure that P5+1 world powers that Iran
would not develop nuclear weapons and to guarantee that Iran that its rights to enrich nuclear fuel for
civilian purposes under the third pillar of the Treaty on the Non Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, to
which it is a party, was esteemed. During the time of the negotiation, the United States, the European
Union and others enforced some agreements on Iran, which have been referred to by President
Rouhani as a crime against humanity. Fast forward to 2015 and now Iran and six world powers are
trying to reach a preliminary agreement on their goals to limit Tehran s nuclear program in exchange
for lifting economic agreements. However Iran will only sign the agreement if economic sanctions are
removed the first day of the deal s implementation.
The Iran Nuclear deal started when talks led to a breakthrough interim agreement agreed in November
of 2013 that was known for being called the Geneva Accord and the Joint Plan of Action that also
began in February 2013. Prior to that there were numerous unsuccessful attempts in trying to negotiate
a deal with Iran since way back in 2002 when Iranian nonconformist groups raised an alarm over the
country s nuclear programed by revealing the existence of two facilities that were not declared to the

Qualities of a Strong Teenage Girl
Qualities of a Strong Teenage Girl
Being a teenage girl, I know what it is like to be let down, put down, and feel completely alone. But I
also know what it takes to get back up, be courageous, and fight. One quality a teenage girl must have
is courage. Courage to stand up for yourself and others. To succeed, a teenage girl must have smarts.
Street smarts as well as book smarts are important. However, one quality that most teenage girls have
is a carelessly open heart; letting anyone in that tries. These qualities of a teenage girl may lead her to
heartbreak and emotional struggles, but overall can contribute to a successful life. The first quality an
adolescent girl must have to succeed, is courage. One reason for this quality is ... Show more content

She may do this because she wants to feel loved and needed. This leads to my second reason which is
the motivation of her partner. He may be looking to take advantage of her and wishes to leave her
heartbroken. When the partner realizes the girl s despiration, he feels a position of power and can
further take advantage of her; body and soul. Through my experience, I hear how girls can be taken
advantage of, and move from partner to partner as a reaction. Avoiding a broken heart can be
accomplished by having a strong heart that is selective and strives for mutual and balanced
commitment. A final reason for a teenage girl to be cautious with her heart is in connection to her self
worth. When a girl gets her heart broken, she may feel intense loneliness, or she may look quickly for
someone else to love and care for in order to avoid or fill the void of emotional pain. She may start
feeling negatively about herself and her body and believe she will never be good enough. This poor
self image can lead to severe depression and self harm. Many times, this heartache happens because a
girl lets someone into her life without boundaries, or standards and once she realize this, she can feel
defeated. For these reasons, having an open heart without using intelligence is a dangerous
combination for a teenage girl. As you can see by the reasons above, teenage girls must have
intelligence and courage to be successful.

Adenosine Function In The Body
Function in the body Adenosine primarily acts in the central nervous system. It promotes sleep in the
evening and assists the brain to wake up in the morning. The concentration of adenosine is highest in
the brain during waking hours and it builds up the longer a person is awake. Since the ATP reserves
are depleted and stored in the brain, it results in the buildup of adenosine in the brain. When a person
is asleep, adenosine is metabolized by adenosine deaminase, which results in a decreased
concentration in the brain in the morning which causes a person to wake up. In the brain there are

Biomass 3 Biomass energy or can be preferred as bioenergy has been used since people began burning
wood to cook food and keep warm (NREL, Biomass Energy Basics 2007). Though wood is the largest
biomass energy resource today, other sources of biomass can also be used (NREL, Biomass Energy
Basics 2007). These include crops, garbage, landfill gas, and alcohol fuels. For centuries people have
been using wood as a source of energy for mainly cooking and heating. Wood was the main source of
energy in the U.S. and the rest of the world until the mid 1800s. (eia, BIOMASS Renewable Energy

Smart Cards Vs. Smart Card Technology
Abstract
Smart Cards are portable devices used for operations on data that can be offline or online and are
mainly used in tasks that require high security. Smart cards are in a wide use and thus my study looks
deep into smart card technology along with its use in India and throughout the world. My paper even
highlights things to happen in future with the use of smart card technology. Importance is even given
to the problems and methods for the development of multipurpose smart card system and even the
main characteristics of smart chip based cards like memory management, security purpose use, open

1 Introduction
A smart card is a card generally made of plastic same like a credit or debit one .It consists of a
integrated microprocessor and a memory. Two ways of it exchanging data with the outside world are
via contact cards and via contactless cards that use radio frequency. To interchange information the
card is to be put in a reader (contact cards) or kept in the connection area of a contactless reader. Smart
cards do not require batteries or any power supply .Power is provided by the reader. It is necessary for
a card to have a certain microprocessor or logic for it to be called a smart card. Security and mobility
are the two main features of a smart card. The applications that are linked to a smart card system have

The geographic features of seas and rivers positively affected the development of ancient Greece and Egypt. Geography has always had a great influence on Greece and its inhabitants, one of the geographic features would be the seas. Seas were viewed as significant features in Greece due to the fact that they made transportation and trading easier. The geographic feature of the river had positive effects on Egypt by providing annual floods that brought rich soil to the land, foods, easy for transportation and exchanging of products from different places. For example, every year the Egyptians would wait eagerly for the flood to come and soak the land because the river brought rocks and dirt from the river bottom which made the valleys fertile, or good for the crops to grow. The river not only provide water for the Egyptians to drink and used for irrigation system, but also brought food by the fish in the river. Another benefit is that the river made transportation easier using boats and barges due to the fact that the Egyptians were able to send officials or armies to towns along the river. Another positive effect would be how the merchants exchange or trade the products of Africa, the middle east, and the Mediterranean region by traveling through the Nile River by sailboats. Kenneth Bancroft Clark was committed to the promotion of social action and believed that change needed to occur in the behavior of both white and well as black people (Freeman, 2008, p. 419). At first glance you would see this as the normal mother daughter spat of maybe the wild child versus the little miss do right. This story holds a much deeper and important meaning. The quilts in this story represent African American heritage, they symbolize the pain, tears and struggle African Americans had to go through in the United States. The sister s conflict over who should have the quilts shows the struggle between the Black Power movement and the African American, and who should define its heritage. The more sustainable the competitive advantage, the more difficult it is for competitors to neutralize the advantage. There are two main types of competitive advantages: comparative advantage and differential advantage. Comparative advantage, or cost advantage, is a firm s ability to produce a good or service at a lower cost than its competitors, which gives the firm the ability sell its goods or services at a lower price than its competition or to generate a larger margin on sales. A differential advantage is created when a firm s products or services differ from its competitors and are seen as better than a competitor s products by customers. At one point in the story, Jake witnesses firsthand a man being stabbed to death by a bull during a bull rush and later on recounts the event to a waiter of a nearby cafe. A few lines later, when the waiter brings Jake a coffee and milk pot, he pours both liquids through the long sprouts in two streams into the big cup. The two streams in this case reflect the streams of blood that gushed out of the man once he was stabbed while the contrast in the dark shade of the coffee and the white color of the milk reflect the opposing forces of life and death, fighting until the end where death ultimately won. Furthermore, before walking away to tend to other customers, the waiter imitates Jake s action earlier and places his hand on the small of his back. as if envisioning himself in that man s situation. This moment indicates the pity and sympathy that the waiter feels toward the man as well as his profound aversion to the bull rush. At the same time, this moment could have also displayed Hemingway s own aversion to war and its incessant killing of innocent people. The reader can infer that through the waiter s actions, Hemingway is able to express his own lingering negativity towards the violence. As such, imagery throughout the passage conveys certain details about the death of the man as well as the authors thoughts on the event as a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There were no more captivating philosophers than Plato and Augustine who fed off one another. Even though they were born at different times, their ideas impacted the life they lived in and future lives. St. Augustine was a student of the wise Plato, who fed off his ideas and created his own form of philosophy. Plato on the other hand orbited the idea of the theory of forms which, later St. Augustine incorporated into his beliefs. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another similarity they both share is the position of life is really death. To them the afterlife is the heaven or paradise and earth is just preparing us to get there. Plato describes that life on earth is to prepare the soul for existence in the afterlife. Saint Augustine shares a similar view in that who knows where people and bodies came from. Did god create us or did we just magically show up. After people die they can leave their life on earth behind them and spend eternity with god. The free soul can go to heaven where his bodily desires will no longer impede his attempts at reaching the true joy of knowing God. Augustine s views are enforced through Christ and Christianity. The time periods brought different perspectives Christianity was very powerful in the time of St. Augustine and was not around when Plato was alive. To Augustine, Christ was God in human form, and his death showed God s infinite mercy, as it presented Christians with the fact that God is within reach. Both Plato and Augustine offer unusual conceptions of what one must acquire to live a truly happy life. While the conventional view of happiness normally pertains to wealth, financial stability, and material possessions, Plato and Augustine suggest that true happiness is rooted in something independent of objects or people. • 16. Racial Prejudice And Stereotypes Stereotypes are generalized, usually negative, but sometimes positive, beliefs about a group of people. Prejudice unjustifiably applies stereotypes to a singe member of the group based on their association with that group. Everyone has different amounts of prejudice, and though most people will not admit to being prejudiced, every single person is prejudiced to some degree. Prejudice can exist at two different levels, an implicit and an explicit level. Though most people will deny any explicit prejudices, everyone harbors implicit prejudices. Research has shown that people who deny racial prejudice often make negative associations known as implicit racial associations. One cause of negative racial associations is ingroup bias. Since the beginning of time, people have felt the need to belong to certain groups, which lead to prejudice by splitting people into us and them, us being the ingroup, and them being the outgroup. The ingroup, or us, are people who share a common identity, and the outgroup, or them, is anyone who does not share this identity or belong to the same group. Ingroup bias develops shortly after identifying ingroups and outgroups. Prejudice is something that is very prevalent in everyday life. In the scene where Ethan asks Mary for money to give to Danny, she tells Ethan that she is still not interested in business, and then she willingly give Ethan a thousand dollars from her own money to him to use (122). Mary in this scene is very submissive to the judgement of Ethan. However, we must understand that this submissive attitude by Mary is because she doesn t care for her husband or his moral health. We can understand this because Ethan first asks her if she doesn t care about the business. This is important to not because Ethan is trying to suggest to Mary that the business he has planned could be considered suspicious. However, Mary clearly explains that she doesn t want to know, and that she is apathetic towards her husband s dealings. This is important because this apathetic attitude towards business reveals marital tension in that she is indifferent towards her husband s actions. Indifference in a marriage can lead to many problems in life. For example, if a wife didn t care where her husband was going at night, and later found he was committing adultery, this could lead to a big fight or a divorce. Furthermore, Mary s attitude of submissiveness towards her money shows further her indifference towards her husband and his dealings. She willingly grants a thousand dollars with no questions asked to him. A thousand dollars back then was a lot of money, and she clearly doesn t care what her husband will do with the money. Furthermore, we understand that this money was for Danny, so that he could use it to kill himself. This is a serious breach in moral conduct, but Mary doesn t care at all. She is revealing that, whether or not, Ethan commits a immoral act, she is more than willing to let him commit that act, and understanding from the previous paragraph she even encourages his immoral ... • 26. The Rights Of Human Rights And Animal Rights Animals are not suppose to be used as food, clothing, entertainment, experimentation or any other purpose and that animals deserve consideration and what is in their best interests. Animal right is a movement that tends to protect animals from being used and abuse by humans. This includes the use of animals for anything that causes them pain and suffering, such as medical experiments, imprisonment in circuses and zoos, and fur production. Animal rights support the idea that all animals are to be treated humanely and away from pain, suffering or murder. They shouldn t be used as food, fur or entertainment. Animal rights seek to promote treatment of living beings through legislation, protest campaigns, research public events and other techniques such as celebrity spokesman ship. Animals are also the creatures living on earth with us. If people say animals should be killed and served us as food, then why don t we eat human? Human have the same nutrition that could be served, there s no point to say that killing human is criminal but killing animal is legal. Animals have the right to live in condition that in benefit and satisfy their nature needs, which include freedom, enough space and environment. But people draw negative attention to animal related issue; they give out the wholly false information. For example on one website there was a picture of some sheep gathered into a holding yard and the caption said that, this is now sheep live all the time. They totally fail to mention the green field in the picture, with no doubt, it is where the sheep will not be returned once they have been sheared, or even killed. In today s society, people create some organization for fighting their government toward freedom and rights. They are fortunate because they have ability to speak for themselves. How about animals? People are always taking advantages from animals by killing and entertaining, and sadly they don t have a voice to fight against it. Some of you might say, if animals cannot be killed for food, everyone will need to become vegetarian, and getting the right amount of protein per day will be more difficult. And from the traditional Christian view, they also think that god has created animals for the use of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 27. Descriptive Essay About Love Finding Love As I walk into the Homeward Animal Shelter for my dog walking shift, I think of the reason I began my weekly volunteering. I want to give love, in any way I can, to the animals who have been left by the ones they love. These animals that I spend an hour and a half with every Sunday need to know that someone loves them. That they have not been forgotten about and it gets better. After spending the summer with my aunt and uncle, I learned that. As I watched their newest rescue dog Snoop open up to me after 3 years and watching his mile stones. For a dog that was abandoned by his family and left on the street, bounced between the shelter and temporary homes, he has finally found permanent love in our family. Snoop s journey into our family began when his family abandoned him and his little chihuahua brother on the side of the road. They fended for each other for days until they were brought to the pound. From there they were separated. Where the little Chihuahua went is unknown, but Snoop, being a pure bread German Shepherd, was taken to Missouri German Shepherd Rescue (MOGS), a rescue center specializing in Shepherds. His white coat made him easy to love, but after the treatment of his last family he did not easily love others. Once Snoop had come out of his shell, not so sheepishly hiding from the shelter staff, he was moved into a foster home. Here in this foster home he started to become the dog my family knows today. But I also know what it takes to get back up, be courageous, and fight. One quality a teenage girl must have is courage. Courage to stand up for yourself and others. To succeed, a teenage girl must have smarts. Street smarts as well as book smarts are important. However, one quality that most teenage girls have is a carelessly open heart; letting anyone in that tries. She may do this because she wants to feel loved and needed. This leads to my second reason which is the motivation of her partner. He may be looking to take advantage of her and wishes to leave her heartbroken. When the partner realizes the girl s despiration, he feels a position of power and can further take advantage of her; body and soul. Through my experience, I hear how girls can be taken advantage of, and move from partner to partner as a reaction. Avoiding a broken heart can be accomplished by having a strong heart that is selective and strives for mutual and balanced commitment. A final reason for a teenage girl to be cautious with her heart is in connection to her self worth. When a girl gets her heart broken, she may feel intense loneliness, or she may look quickly for someone else to love and care for in order to avoid or fill the void of emotional pain. She may start feeling negatively about herself and her body and believe she will never be good enough. This poor self image can lead to severe depression and self harm. Many times, this heartache happens because a girl lets someone into her life without boundaries, or standards and once she realize this, she can feel defeated. For these reasons, having an open heart without using intelligence is a dangerous combination for a teenage girl. As you can see by the reasons above, teenage girls must have intelligence and courage to be successful. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
