The Negative Effects Of Gress Stress And Its Effects On...
Through the fast pace of today s economy and job market in the United States, students are constantly
being asked to do more in order to maintain a competitive edge. Although, obtaining such an edge
might promote a positive outcome, there are also negative responses that essentially hurt students as
individuals and the American job market as a whole. The constant government and societal push
towards measuring up to the rest of the world is essentially, harming students more than it is
promoting them.
Although stress stress isn t always a negative aspect, in extreme situations, it can prove to be very
unhealthy. The American Psychological Association has found that Teens report that their stress level
during the school year far exceeds what they believe to be healthy... The association also says that
Many teens also report feeling overwhelmed (31 percent) and depressed or sad (30 percent) as a result
of stress. The stress that students are experiencing is not the problem as much as the consequences that
come from it. Depression and lack of motivation can result from too much pressure upon students, and
these negative side effects can cancel any of the positively intended effects. From elementary school
to college, the American school system is constantly striving to keep up with that of other countries.
This constant motivation can be very toxic to the entire cause at hand. The University of La Verne
took statistics of their students and found that ...at least 50% of

International Mother Language Day
Our Mother Language Day
(21st February)
UNESCO s declaration of 21st February as the International Mother Language Day has brought fresh
glory and prestige to Bangladesh which is making significant strides towards peace, progress and
prosperity at home and discharging international obligations abroad. After 1952, the people of
Bangladesh have been observing every year the 21st day of February as their glorious and
unforgettable Language Martyrs Day. What happened on 21st February 1952 is widely known. Still let
us very briefly recount the fateful happenings of that day and the circumstances that led to and
followed them.
In August 1947, a new state called Pakistan, comprising two far flung wings in the west and east,

Yet so long, it has been mainly a national event of Bangladesh. But with the declaration of 21st
February as the International Mother Language Day, it has transcended the national borders of
Bangladesh and acquired an international significance and a global dimension.
International Mother Language Day is particularly significant in the sense that it has a cultural
importance. From now on, 21st February so long observed in Bangladesh as the Bangla Language
Martyrs Day will be observed here simultaneously as the Bangla Language Martyrs Day and the
International Mother Language Day. And in nearly 200 countries of the world, various peoples
speaking various languages and belonging to various national cultures will observe 21st February as
the International Mother Language Day. They will naturally celebrate their own mother languages, but
while doing so, it is more than likely that they will refer to Bangladesh and the Language Movement
launched by her people that reached a climactic point on 21st February 1952.
The declaration made by the UNESCO in November 1999 designating 21st February as the
International Mother Language Day has placed Bangladesh on the cultural map of the world with a
highly positive image. We, people of Bangladesh, should now do all that we can to further develop our
mother language Bangla in all branches of knowledge so that it can play a worthy role in the
community of world languages. We shall love, cherish and promote Bangla,

Two annually elected consuls convened the senate and the curiate and centuriate assemblies. Initially
the office was only open to patricians until the Lex Licinia opened it to Plebeian candidates in 367
BC. At the end of their annual term of service, Consuls would take the title Proconsul and generally
serve as provincial governors The Senate directed the magistrates, especially the consuls, in their
prosecution of military conflicts. The Senate also had an enormous degree of power over the civil
government in Rome. This was especially the case with regards to its management of state finances, as
only it could authorize the disbursal of public monies from the treasury. In addition, the Senate passed
decrees called senatus consultum, which was officially advice from the Senate to a magistrate. While
technically these decrees did not have to be obeyed, in practice, they usually were. During an
emergency, the Senate (and only the Senate) could authorize the appointment of a dictator. The last
ordinary dictator, however, was appointed in 202 BC. After 202 BC, the Senate responded to
emergencies by passing the senatus consultum ultimum ( Ultimate Decree of the Senate ), which

Love Medicine Chapter 18 Summary
Foster brings up rebirth again through the idea of baptism within chapter 18 of his novel. He starts off
by defining what Baptism is and how it is the symbolic death and rebirth of a certain person. Foster
states that drowning is a type of symbolic baptism because the character would come back up and be
reborn. He explains how this is representing a form of rebirth where the character who is being
baptized is leaving behind their old life and gaining a new one. Other forms of symbolic baptism that
Foster mentions are traveling on water such as oceans and rivers. Some people don t want to survive
the drowning and he shows this by explaining the story Love Medicine where the main character s
uncle imagines going to the bottom of Lake Matchimanito ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

You can see how the rain chapter is correlated through this one because it even states that rain is able
to baptize and have some sort of purity. The other chapter is the Biblical one because Baptism is
obviously something relating to the religion of Christianity and has been used in the religion
traditionally. However, when these two chapters mix together it does emphasize many points. It doesn
t only show that rain can baptize but other things are able to also. I m going to bring up the story Lord
of the Flies because, again, it has many symbols relating to the Bible and religion. When the story
begins, we notice that a plane full of English boys is headed towards army training or some sort of
recruitment. However, the plane crashes and ends up on an island. Here we can assume that everyone
on that plane has died. That assumption is somewhat right actually. The boys died there on the plane
and left their old lives back but now they are reborn and on an island where they don t know anything.
They don t know how to survive at all when stranded and they are like babies that need help from their
mother. However, they do learn and eventually create a small society with enemies and such. With the
plane crash, we are able to see how baptism can be symbolized by anything in

Pediatric Emergency Medicine Personal Statement
Eighteen years it took me to become a pediatric emergency medicine specialist. As my journey in
academics started, I faced the challenge and responsibility of being a single parent. Seeking
opportunities to learn about economics and finance, I did what came naturally to me, which was study.
Eighteen months of doing the unthinkable : working full time, studying full time, and raising a six
year old, was the most exhausting and yet the most inspiring time of my life. Travelling to Asia to
write a thesis comparing the Japanese and American health insurance industry, added a global flavor
to my knowledge of medicine.
Fueled by an interest in research, I received a scholarship for Ph.D. studies after medical school. Life
events interrupted this journey, making it necessary to move from cities, and even countries. I made an
unthinkable move to Australia, right after being promoted at the university. Each change has required
patience and persistence, forcing me to look beyond hurdles and seek opportunities for growth. As a
foreign medical graduate, in two countries, I have had to prove my skill as a physician and my
specialist fellowships in both the U.S. and Australia substantiates this. Through every stage of my
training and academic career, I have sought out opportunities to further my understanding of the
science behind the practice of medicine. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Analysis Of Shakespeare s Othello
An Analysis of Othello by Shakespeare
Shakespeare is known for his use of recurring themes throughout his work, including love, death and
betrayal. These themes are present in his work of Othello. However, the most fundamental issue is
jealousy. The lives of the characthers in Othello are ruined by jealousy from the beginning to the end
of the play. The telling of the story is carried out by passion, jealousy, and death. Shakespeare s
Othello reveals devastating tragic inevitability, stunning psychological depth, and compelling poetic
depth; the fragility and mysterious power of love, as well as demons of doubt, and how suspicion can
be triggered by manipulative villain (Barthelemy 12).
In the play, evil intentions destroy what we know of a pure heart as well as trust and genuine honesty
by this falsehearted deception. The agony of the tragic play is captured in a nutshell when Othello
admits to Desdemona when I love thee not/chaos is come again. There is some misunderstanding of
tragedy of love between the two characters. Trust is misplaced, honesty smeared out and finally, lives
are ruined by denigrating fabrications and outright lies (Lupu, Jeffrey and Westmaas Jones 12). The
tragic cautionary of Shakespeare offers a supreme warning over jealousy which is referred as the
green eyed monster with doth mock the meat it feeds on.
At First , Roderigo is envious of Othello because he wanted to be in love with Desdemona. This is the
beginning of jealousy which runs

Sociological Perspectives on Religion Essay example
Religion is a ritualized system of beliefs and practices related to things defined as sacred by an
organized community of believers. (Basirico et.al. 379). Religion is an important element in the
society because it influences the way individuals act and think. It has shaped the relationship and
bonding among families as well as influenced the decision made in economics and politics. Religion
in general has contributed to shape a society and a government structure which will influence the way
the individuals under certain governmental structure behave. Sociologists are interested in religion
mainly because religious belief is heavily rooted in individuals lives and it helps sociologists to
interpret human s actions, expression, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, no matter how sociologists and scientists view religion, there are a lot of people who will
still believe in their own religion and that there exists a power that science cannot explain. For
example, in an Islamic country such as Indonesia, government is organized base on what is
appropriate according to Islam. Even though, there are a lot of people questions the existence of
supernatural power and hundreds of books publish that study the scientific view of religion,
government and people in that country still believe in their religions. Students at school also study
about science and sociological perspective toward religion and almost every student still believe in
their religion and practice it in their societies. Moreover, in US where freedom of speech is allowed
and knowledge can be shared quickly by internet, every person in US knows about scientific study of
religion but Christianity is still emphasized in everyday life. People may only view sociological and
scientific perspective of religion as one of the knowledge that need to be known but doesn t have to be
practiced. Overall, the sociological study in religions does not undermine nor strengthen one s faith.
Other factors such as people who use religion to abuse people or control over people that may have
made a person to change their view toward religion. Sociologists also view religion as part

Neoliberalism In Chile
The concept of neoliberalism has brought many changes both in the world of politics and economy
throughout the world, as well as in Chile. Neoliberalism has transformed Chile both politically and
economically or even made Chile one of the luckiest victims of neoliberalism. In this essay, the writer
will try to explain comprehensively about what is neoliberalism is and how it practices or policy shape
the nature of domestic and global politics, especially Chile under Augusto Pinochet in 1973.
Neoliberalism or modern Liberalism (Walzenbach, 2016, p. 88) is the idea that society should be
shaped by the free market and that the economy should be deregulated and privatized. Thus, it is
project that the state must reduce its role and keep it to a bare minimum (only to create and preserve
the economic institutional framework) as well as more embrace the freedom of the individual to

Strong private property rights mean that every individual have a right to owned property which
impacts human most basic needs at large, such as in areas like water, land, health care (privatizations).
Meanwhile, free markets mean that the economics are based on the rule of the market. Every private
enterprise is no longer bound by the state regulation (deregulation) that may prevent the market to act
as the self regulating system. Consequently, capital gain become the top of everything, no matter how
much social damage causes. After that free trade, it is mean that a state must open their market to

Anabolic Steroids And Substance Steroids
According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary anabolic steroids are any of a group of usually synthetic
hormones that are derivatives of testosterone, are used medically specially to promote tissue growth,
and are sometimes abused by athletes to increase the size and strength of their muscles and improve
endurance. The main purpose of anabolic steroids is to gain strength and muscle very quickly and
faster than any other drug enhancement. There are many types of models that relate to anabolic
steroids. One model is high school athletes who use anabolic steroids and would mostly fall in the
performance enhancer model category. Many may ask, what exactly are performance enhancement
drugs? Performance enhancement drugs are substances used to improve any form of activity
performance in humans. There are many experiments done on the use of anabolic steroids within high
schools. According to the Huffington Post as of 2011, 13 percent of boys who play football in high
school take anabolic steroids and that is just football players. All of these young athletes who take
steroids use the drug to become stronger. An average of 8.8 percent of female high school athletes
have also tried or currently use anabolic steroids. The crave to have a buffed body is a big trend for
young adults. A study from the University of Michigan showed that in 1992, 72 percent of high school
seniors believed that those using steroids risked harming themselves (Are Student Athletes Taking

Analysis Of Madden 18
Madden 18 Review If you ever watch a NFL football game you know how the fans get loud and crazy
about their team. You see all the lights and excitement from people who love the game. Madden 18 is
the perfect game for football lovers who just can t get enough of just watching it on Sunday. Madden
came a long way from the old gameplay and graphic. To becoming one of the best sports game that hit
the market. With the new edition to madden being the all new story mode. Fans of all ages were
thrilled to purchase the game and try out the new game mode. If you compare last year madden 17 to
the new madden you would see that the game style of offense and defense on the field did not change.
The play calling and the playbooks are the similar as well. Madden 18 bring excitement with the
cutting edge graphic, smooth gameplay, restructured franchise mode, and the new first person mode
called The Longshot. Tom Brady have the honor to grace the game with being on the cover of madden
18. Being on the cover derives with the madden curse but Tom Brady is the greatest of all time
(G.O.A.T) therefore he can overcome the curse. In addition, the graphic if you played the previous
madden you can see how they improve into eye catching graphic. The start of the game you have play
as the Atlanta Falcon and try to repeat history and go against the New England Patriot. When you look
at the graphic you can see how EA took their time to get flawless graphic. Once the game starts you
can see the shine off the players helmets when the lights hit it. Another thing that stuck out was when
the referees are on the field calling the penalties you can see the improve lifelike graphics. Also the
uniforms have jumped out at me as well. Looking at the neon green of the Seahawks jersey and the
lively orange the broncos wear on the field shows they put a lot of time and patience behind the
graphic. Furthermore, the new addition to the madden game comes with three new game styles and
new passing to get down the field. It is the first time they have three different game choices. Arcade
mode is filled with spectacular play, limited penalties, and lots of scoring. Simulation mode play true
to team ratings and players, with authentic NFL rules and

Holistic Marketing
MKTG208 Holistic Marketing
Define and discuss the concept of holistic marketing. Your discussion should include the following: 1.
Describe and analyze the ways holistic marketing can assist organizations to connect with customers.
2. Explain how holistic marketing can build brand/s. 3. Explain how holistic marketing can deliver
and communicate value.
The Holistic Marketing concept is based on the development, design and implementation of marketing
programs, processes and activities that recognise their breadth and interdependencies. It is thus an
approach that attempts to recognise and reconcile the scope and complexities of marketing activities
(Kotler et. al, 2009).

Product or brand management is commonly used by organizations that produce a variety of products
or brands. An extra level of management is added to supervise the various categories or product areas
that the business operates in. This presents an advantage for organizations such as Kraft, as it separates
the product categories of cereal, pet food and beverages. (Kotler et. al, 2009)
Similarly, instead of separating by product categories, market management organization uses a focus
on user groups and market segments. For instance, a firm may sell to individual consumers, business
and/or government.
Integrated marketing is the coordination and integrating of all marketing communication tools,
avenues, and sources within a company into a seamless program that maximises the impact on
customers and other stakeholders at a minimal cost. (Kotler et. al, 2009)
By directing Internal Integrated Marketing Communications (IIMC) towards their employees, firms
are able to promote employee satisfaction, trust and commitment, thereby strengthening the firm
employee relationship and ultimately affecting profitability by enhancing customer satisfaction
(Herington, Johnson and Scott 2006).
Integrated marketing is based on a strategic marketing plan. The plan coordinates efforts in all
components of the marketing mix. A complete integrated marketing plan starts with and incorporates

Sweatshops Thesis Statement
Thesis statement: Sweatshops, when left to operate without government intervention, are the most
efficient way of out poverty.
Introductory rationale: When it comes to social justice issues, most people believe the government
needs to solve the problem. Social justice in sweatshops is no exception. In my research, I have found
that what people see as the cause of injustice in developing countries, sweatshops, are actually what is
responsible for lifting people up out of poverty. As a result, any sort of government regulation will fail
to solve the problem. The audience I am writing for is a diverse group of peers who are concerned
with social justice though they may have different solutions and beliefs about the topic. My goal in
this draft is to expand their knowledge and show them the benefits of not interfering with the free
market.
I. Claim 1: Sweatshops increase the standards of living for the workers and their communities
1. Evidence:
1) Where Sweatshops Are a Dream is a short article in favor of sweatshops. The author talks about
how the living standards rose due to sweatshops when he was a kid (Kristof). This article has a
personal story from the author about improving conditions. This makes for a good pathos argument.
2) In the interview with the Mises Institute called, Sweatshops: A Way Out of Poverty, Powell talks
about how living standards rise in areas with sweatshops as well as how sweatshops actually pay well
in comparison to other jobs (Powell,

White people sold Kizzy to different owners and her life was terrible without her mom and her dad.
Kunta Kinte tried to run away many times but the white people always catch him and torture him.
Secondly, the white people did not respect the African American slavery at all. So they say the n word

uneducated, have less abilities, and the slavery were born to white people so that the African slavery

It was a great time for the scholars and philosophers to introduce democracy and justice through
deliberations of liberty and equality. One of the most well known philosopher, Thomas Hobbes, is
known for his political thoughts. He is a kind of a guy that thinks about how people could actually live
their life ignoring the conflicts happening around them. He believes that people have their own right to
do whatever they desire by not what they are told to do. He also believes that a system of governing
should be an individual person rather than a group from a foreign country asking them to do as they
pleased. In order for him to do that, he wrote a book. His book is called Leviathan . In that book it is
stated that people are incapable of ruling themselves, primarily because humans are naturally self
centered and quarrelsome and need the iron fist of a strong leader. Hobbes was not more effective than
following philosophes like Voltaire, Montesquieu, and Rousseau. They were more confident about
democracy. Their ideas were straight to the point and they support questions that were negatively
viewed about absolute monarch. For example, Montesquieu proposed a concept about the separation
of powers into different district of government. They also find willing students who are tempted to
fight for liberty. The ideas of the Enlightenment helped lead to the American Revolution and

your risk of miscarriage or still birth, preterm labor, placenta abruption, fetal death and even maternal

Twelve
Twelve. The age where boys around the world go to junior high for the first time. The age where some
boys have braces on their crooked teeth. The age where the voice of some boys becomes deeper.
Twelve for me means none of that. Twelve marks the year when a member of the Nazi party could
knock on our door and take me away. Twelve marks the age that I might never see my family again.
Growing up with the frenzy of the war outside my bedroom window seized my childish qualities and
innocence away from me. I do not have the option to play in the street like the others. I cannot
casually walk in the Berlin plaza freely, as it seems that every five seconds a Nazi soldier stops to
question me. I have seen guiltless people shot to death on the sidewalk by ruthless soldiers under
Adolf Hitler s command. I have seen brainwashed boys that I used to go to school with do the dirty
work for Hitler. I have seen things that the little boys and girls in America have not even seen in their
nightmares.
Being only eleven years old, I cannot remember the day my older brother went with the soldiers. They
took him to a camp in order to train in order to be like them. I really only know what my parents told
me, and they don t know that much either. The whole situation still remains a conundrum, and now it
seems that my brother became like those before him, cold and lifeless.
It alarms me that in two

Establishing Special Economic Zones
Inspired by the success of the Silicon Valley, numerous states began to establish special economic
zones, or scientific parks in pursue of economic growth in a region and diversification of the
innovation potential. Considered to be a tool for attraction the small companies with high innovative
orientation, such parks have become an international phenomenon. The variety of patterns of existing
parks can be explained by the difference in social economic formation of specific countries, their
history, cultural legacy and mentality. Having come through difficult economic reforms of 80s 90s,
Russia found itself in a situation of strong crude materials dependence and relative inability to
compete successfully on the international and domestic markets. Recent trend in IT and innovation
technologies suggested the need for the country to catch up with those who in the lead. Skolkovo is an
example of how Russian officials adopt best foreign practices for domestic market in order to
eliminate the problem of long term lagging. However, Skolkovo, despite being protected by the
government, is deemed to have a lot of problem inherited from Russian mentality and business ethics.
The need for finding the solution of long standing problems justifies the purpose of this paper. Purpose
of the paper is to investigate nature of science parks, in particular Skolkovo Project. We hypothesize
that the model of Skolkovo s development can be successful in the current Russian economic

My Calling In High School
A calling like no other
I ve always known that I wanted to be a force of good in the world, someone who lifts people up,
someone who can help during stressful times, and be the shoulder people can lean on. I want to be
there for anyone I can. While I ve been in multiple school groups as early as elementary, such as
student council, several honor societies, academic clubs, and other activities, it wasn t until my final
years of high school that I discovered my true calling that has created the most memorable and
rewarding experiences of my life.
In my sophomore year of high school, I applied for a spot in an exclusive class of only 25 students
who help the special needs students at my campus. I was so excited to jump at the chance to be in a
class, that to my knowledge, those enrolled would celebrate the students birthdays, take them to the
Special Olympics, and be their confidant and companion. I wanted to join the class to do the same, but
it wasn t until I was accepted that I realized how significantly the class would affect and change my
heart. This class has redefined how I see myself because I know what I am meant to do with my life. I
want to better the lives of Special Needs students because they have enriched my life and made it
meaningful.
Despite there only being 5 spot openings for students in my grade level to join the class, my
application and interview managed to earn me a spot. By the end of the first week I was already in
love. The special needs students

How Does Hume Determine Human Existence
David Hume s An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding is a work which addresses and
questions philosophical ideas through empirical epistemology. In this work, Hume focuses mainly on
ideas of custom, causality, belief, and fiction. Not only, but Hume interconnects all of these, creating
new ideas of perception, and asserts that although humans are reasonable creatures, there is no true
reason as to why we should rely on causality to determine our actions.
To illustrate, in Of the Origin of Ideas, Hume states, that during observation, rather than taking things
as a they truly are, humans have a tendency to instead contort and alter their perceptions to work in
their favor, and relate to them. For instance, Hume states, When we reflect on our past sentiments and
affections, our thought is a faithful mirror, and copies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Hume, it is somewhat impossible to reach an idea of cause and effect. Take for instance,
...nor is it reasonable to conclude, merely because one event, in one instance, precedes another, that
therefore the one is the cause, the other the effect. In other words, there is no reason to infer an
existence from the appearance of another. Like stated prior, given the fact that perception is
determined by past experience, Hume is correct in his statement. For instance, since perception is
subjective, it is highly unreasonable to conclude causality.
With all that said, Hume s philosophy can be applied to natural law. For example, natural laws are
moral standards that govern human nature, based on the nature of the world. However, the ideas of
natural laws were derived from instances of causality. With this in mind, it can be understood that not
only is causality unreasonable, but also, in a way, is natural law. This, however, is not to say that
natural law has no truth, but rather address the idea that both causality, as well as natural law are
merely relative

Scout Finch Symbolism Essay
Although the story is seen through a child s perspective, it includes multiple instances of symbolism.
The story s main character is Scout Finch who is a child that is living through the 1930 s full of
racism. It is about a man who is an attorney that struggles to prove a black man s innocence and fights
to keep his children safe. Harper Lee s ¨To Kill a Mockingbird¨ is a book with several examples of
symbolism, including Atticus symbolized as a mockingbird.
Atticus is so selfless that he can feel compassion for even Bob Ewell. For example, Jem, see if you
can stand in Bob Ewell s shoes a minute. I destroyed his last shred of credibility at that trial, if he had

you just hold your head high and keep those fists down. No matter what anybody says to you, don t

head, Atticus is showing her how she can fight without getting in trouble, rather than resorting to using
her fists and getting in trouble for her actions. He is also trying to teach Scout to control her temper
and not let others get the better of her by making her angry. Atticus believes that everyone should be
equal and that it isn t fair for black people to get treated unfairly in court. Harper Lee explains this by
adding, Our courts have their faults, as does any human institution, but in this country our courts are
the great levellers, and in our courts all men are created equal. Here, Atticus is describing the
principles of blind justice and equality under the law. Courts should decide cases objectively without
favoring any race or gender, for example. The one place where a man ought to get a square deal is in a
courtroom, be he any color of the rainbow, but people have a way of carrying their resentments right
into a jury box. This shows that atticus believes that everyone should have equal rights especially in

Mary Todd Compare And Contrast
Early on in life, Mary Todd set her sights on becoming the First Lady of the United States. Her

many, considered a southerner, a trait that would later used against her during the Civil War. Both

Earning the educational and certificate/license requirements ensures that a health care professional has
the ability and qualifications to aid others in a medical setting. Various college institutions offer both
an associate s and bachelor s degree program in sonography. At Washburn University, a Diagnostic
Medical Sonographer program can be completed between one to two years after obtaining a
Radiological Technologist degree. Like most medical careers, this profession requires a student to
complete courses such as anatomy and physiology, as well as applied science curriculum. Not only
does this profession require in class studies, but it also entails a clinical component. Requiring
students to be hands on in a clinical setting allows the students to gain genuine experience as well as
acquire additional knowledge and expertise in their specific field of study. Once an individual has
completed the required curriculum, they must complete a certification from the American Registry for
Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Typically, a person in this career field earns at least one specialty
certification, but could potentially broaden their horizon and get certificates in many different
specialties such as abdomen, breast, vascular, and/or cardiac sonography. Nonetheless, few

William O Connell Bradley s Contributions
William O Connell Bradley (1847 1914) was the 32nd Governor of Kentucky and a U.S. senator. The
first Republican to serve as governor of the state, he became known as the father of the Republican
Party in Kentucky. After a well received speech seconding the presidential nomination of Ulysses S.
Grant at the 1880 Republican National Convention, he was nominated for governor in 1887. He lost
the general election that year, but won in 1895, capitalizing on divisions in the Democratic Party over
the issue of free silver. His term was marked by political struggles and violence. He advanced the
status of black citizens, but was unable to enact much of his reform agenda over a hostile Democratic
majority. He was elected by the state legislature to the U.S. Senate in 1907, when voting was
deadlocked and the Democratic candidate, outgoing Governor J. C. W. Beckham, refused to withdraw
in favor of a compromise candidate. Bradley s opposition to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The Rhetorical Analysis Of Martin Luther s On Christian...
Martin Luther wrote On Christian Liberty, as an attempt to avoid conflict with the Church. In it, he
justifies his beliefs, primarily on the importance of placing faith in Christ above works in the grand
scheme of salvation. Throughout the treatise, he address who a Christian should be, the nature
humanity, and the role he believes faith, works, and ceremonies playing in forming a good Christian.
This, in turn, entices the reader to critique and search of his or her self, what it means to be a good
Christian and how to gain salvation. Within the first few pages of On Christian Liberty, Luther creates
a paradox that causes readers to think deeply about their own role as believers of Christ. In it, he
claims that a Christian is: ...a perfectly free lord of all, subject to none while, at the same time, being a
perfectly dutiful servant, subject to all (pg.2). Through faith, the most important part of a person s
salvation, a Christian gains freedom and liberty. However, a Christian becomes a servant of all
through love, subjecting themselves to the needs of others as Christ did. Luther identifies the two
natures of man as the body and the spirit. These two natures continuously conflict. The body is the
flesh or a person s outward nature while the soul represents the inner person. The bodily nature of
humanity has no bearing on the righteousness of the soul. Luther states that the soul cannot benefit if
the body and flesh is well. Regardless of outward wealth,

Effects Of Colonization In Africa
J. Klíma argues that Africa was the most affected by colonization. Colonialism established artificial
states which did not respect ethnic, natural and cultural units. Massive decolonization of the countries
in Africa commenced mainly after the Second World War. The Anglophone countries struggled for
their independence more or less successfully. Great Britain began to retreat from the Empire shortly
after 1945. The British government fell back because they could not afford financing of the
administration, army and other important issues to maintain their distant possessions. There was not
only lack of interest to engage in African possessions, there was also general persuasion of
illegitimacy of colonialism. It is confirmed by United Nations resolution (Declaration on the Granting
of Independence to Colonial Countries and People). According to this resolution, Recognizing the
passionate yearning for freedom in all dependent peoples and the decisive role of such peoples in the
attainment of their independence, and Recognizing that the peoples of the world ardently desire the
end of colonialism in all its manifestations, Milestone in decolonization in sub Saharan Africa became

The Outbreak Of Bse ( Mad Cow Disease )
The surge of goods and services have also increased opportunities for the spreading of disease. The
outbreak of BSE (Mad Cow Disease) is an example of this. Mosquitoes that carry malaria have been
found on planes and so have infected seafood carrying cholera bacteria being shipped by boat.
Compression of time through international air travel, boats, etc. make it likely for people to cross
continents in periods of time shorter than the incubation periods of most diseases. Because of this
people can infect others unbeknownst to them that anything is wrong.

There should also be laws to protect their status in the country since they are part of it. They should
have access to adequate health care and insurance and be paid sick leave. To not do this will only put
the whole country at risk at outbreaks of food borne illnesses.
New innovations in technology would help a great deal in decreasing the spread of disease. For
example, finding an alternative way to have air in an airplane. The way we now have it the air in an
airplane simply recirculates the air that s already there. So the diseases in the airplane are rebreathed
and don t go away for the duration of the plan ride. This poses a greater risk for infection. A way to
replace the air continually would decrease the risk. Dealing with the increase in urbanization in
developing countries I found a lot more difficult to think about. None of the solutions seem easy and
the problems are ongoing. There are too many people living in these urban area mostly for the pursuit
of work, they don t have adequate drinking water, they have waste problems, along with a whole
bunch of unsanitary conditions. The best I can think of is to have them be educated in jobs that they
can do online so that they don t have the need to move to these areas. But this also brings of the
question of how these laptops would be provided to teach them and how they would get wifi. Also
there needs to be a system in place to get them access to clean

  • 3. The Negative Effects Of Gress Stress And Its Effects On... Through the fast pace of today s economy and job market in the United States, students are constantly being asked to do more in order to maintain a competitive edge. Although, obtaining such an edge might promote a positive outcome, there are also negative responses that essentially hurt students as individuals and the American job market as a whole. The constant government and societal push towards measuring up to the rest of the world is essentially, harming students more than it is promoting them. Although stress stress isn t always a negative aspect, in extreme situations, it can prove to be very unhealthy. The American Psychological Association has found that Teens report that their stress level during the school year far exceeds what they believe to be healthy... The association also says that Many teens also report feeling overwhelmed (31 percent) and depressed or sad (30 percent) as a result of stress. The stress that students are experiencing is not the problem as much as the consequences that come from it. Depression and lack of motivation can result from too much pressure upon students, and these negative side effects can cancel any of the positively intended effects. From elementary school to college, the American school system is constantly striving to keep up with that of other countries. This constant motivation can be very toxic to the entire cause at hand. What happened on 21st February 1952 is widely known. Still let us very briefly recount the fateful happenings of that day and the circumstances that led to and followed them. Yet so long, it has been mainly a national event of Bangladesh. But with the declaration of 21st February as the International Mother Language Day, it has transcended the national borders of Bangladesh and acquired an international significance and a global dimension. International Mother Language Day is particularly significant in the sense that it has a cultural importance. From now on, 21st February so long observed in Bangladesh as the Bangla Language Martyrs Day will be observed here simultaneously as the Bangla Language Martyrs Day and the International Mother Language Day. And in nearly 200 countries of the world, various peoples speaking various languages and belonging to various national cultures will observe 21st February as the International Mother Language Day. They will naturally celebrate their own mother languages, but while doing so, it is more than likely that they will refer to Bangladesh and the Language Movement launched by her people that reached a climactic point on 21st February 1952. The declaration made by the UNESCO in November 1999 designating 21st February as the International Mother Language Day has placed Bangladesh on the cultural map of the world with a highly positive image. They were rescued by a she wolf who cared for them The Rape of the Sabine Women is an episode in the legendary history of Rome, traditionally dated to 750 BC, in which the first generation of Roman men acquired wives for themselves from the neighboring Sabine families. Two annually elected consuls convened the senate and the curiate and centuriate assemblies. Initially the office was only open to patricians until the Lex Licinia opened it to Plebeian candidates in 367 BC. At the end of their annual term of service, Consuls would take the title Proconsul and generally serve as provincial governors The Senate directed the magistrates, especially the consuls, in their prosecution of military conflicts. The Senate also had an enormous degree of power over the civil government in Rome. This was especially the case with regards to its management of state finances, as only it could authorize the disbursal of public monies from the treasury. In addition, the Senate passed decrees called senatus consultum, which was officially advice from the Senate to a magistrate. While technically these decrees did not have to be obeyed, in practice, they usually were. During an emergency, the Senate (and only the Senate) could authorize the appointment of a dictator. The last ordinary dictator, however, was appointed in 202 BC. After 202 BC, the Senate responded to emergencies by passing the senatus consultum ultimum ( Ultimate Decree of the Senate ), which suspended civil government declared something analogous to martial law. • 6. Love Medicine Chapter 18 Summary Foster brings up rebirth again through the idea of baptism within chapter 18 of his novel. He starts off by defining what Baptism is and how it is the symbolic death and rebirth of a certain person. Foster states that drowning is a type of symbolic baptism because the character would come back up and be reborn. He explains how this is representing a form of rebirth where the character who is being baptized is leaving behind their old life and gaining a new one. Other forms of symbolic baptism that Foster mentions are traveling on water such as oceans and rivers. Some people don t want to survive the drowning and he shows this by explaining the story Love Medicine where the main character s uncle imagines going to the bottom of Lake Matchimanito ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You can see how the rain chapter is correlated through this one because it even states that rain is able to baptize and have some sort of purity. The other chapter is the Biblical one because Baptism is obviously something relating to the religion of Christianity and has been used in the religion traditionally. However, when these two chapters mix together it does emphasize many points. It doesn t only show that rain can baptize but other things are able to also. I m going to bring up the story Lord of the Flies because, again, it has many symbols relating to the Bible and religion. When the story begins, we notice that a plane full of English boys is headed towards army training or some sort of recruitment. However, the plane crashes and ends up on an island. Here we can assume that everyone on that plane has died. That assumption is somewhat right actually. The boys died there on the plane and left their old lives back but now they are reborn and on an island where they don t know anything. They don t know how to survive at all when stranded and they are like babies that need help from their mother. However, they do learn and eventually create a small society with enemies and such. With the plane crash, we are able to see how baptism can be symbolized by anything in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Pediatric Emergency Medicine Personal Statement Eighteen years it took me to become a pediatric emergency medicine specialist. As my journey in academics started, I faced the challenge and responsibility of being a single parent. Seeking opportunities to learn about economics and finance, I did what came naturally to me, which was study. Eighteen months of doing the unthinkable : working full time, studying full time, and raising a six year old, was the most exhausting and yet the most inspiring time of my life. Travelling to Asia to write a thesis comparing the Japanese and American health insurance industry, added a global flavor to my knowledge of medicine. Fueled by an interest in research, I received a scholarship for Ph.D. studies after medical school. Life events interrupted this journey, making it necessary to move from cities, and even countries. I made an unthinkable move to Australia, right after being promoted at the university. Each change has required patience and persistence, forcing me to look beyond hurdles and seek opportunities for growth. As a foreign medical graduate, in two countries, I have had to prove my skill as a physician and my specialist fellowships in both the U.S. and Australia substantiates this. Through every stage of my training and academic career, I have sought out opportunities to further my understanding of the science behind the practice of medicine. ... • 8. Analysis Of Shakespeare s Othello An Analysis of Othello by Shakespeare Shakespeare is known for his use of recurring themes throughout his work, including love, death and betrayal. These themes are present in his work of Othello. However, the most fundamental issue is jealousy. The lives of the characthers in Othello are ruined by jealousy from the beginning to the end of the play. The telling of the story is carried out by passion, jealousy, and death. Shakespeare s Othello reveals devastating tragic inevitability, stunning psychological depth, and compelling poetic depth; the fragility and mysterious power of love, as well as demons of doubt, and how suspicion can be triggered by manipulative villain (Barthelemy 12). In the play, evil intentions destroy what we know of a pure heart as well as trust and genuine honesty by this falsehearted deception. The agony of the tragic play is captured in a nutshell when Othello admits to Desdemona when I love thee not/chaos is come again. There is some misunderstanding of tragedy of love between the two characters. Trust is misplaced, honesty smeared out and finally, lives are ruined by denigrating fabrications and outright lies (Lupu, Jeffrey and Westmaas Jones 12). The tragic cautionary of Shakespeare offers a supreme warning over jealousy which is referred as the green eyed monster with doth mock the meat it feeds on. At First , Roderigo is envious of Othello because he wanted to be in love with Desdemona. This is the beginning of jealousy which runs ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(Basirico et.al. 379). Religion is an important element in the society because it influences the way individuals act and think. It has shaped the relationship and bonding among families as well as influenced the decision made in economics and politics. Religion in general has contributed to shape a society and a government structure which will influence the way the individuals under certain governmental structure behave. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, no matter how sociologists and scientists view religion, there are a lot of people who will still believe in their own religion and that there exists a power that science cannot explain. For example, in an Islamic country such as Indonesia, government is organized base on what is appropriate according to Islam. Even though, there are a lot of people questions the existence of supernatural power and hundreds of books publish that study the scientific view of religion, government and people in that country still believe in their religions. Fans of all ages were thrilled to purchase the game and try out the new game mode. If you compare last year madden 17 to the new madden you would see that the game style of offense and defense on the field did not change. The play calling and the playbooks are the similar as well. Madden 18 bring excitement with the cutting edge graphic, smooth gameplay, restructured franchise mode, and the new first person mode called The Longshot. Tom Brady have the honor to grace the game with being on the cover of madden 18. Being on the cover derives with the madden curse but Tom Brady is the greatest of all time (G.O.A.T) therefore he can overcome the curse. In addition, the graphic if you played the previous madden you can see how they improve into eye catching graphic. The start of the game you have play as the Atlanta Falcon and try to repeat history and go against the New England Patriot. When you look at the graphic you can see how EA took their time to get flawless graphic. Once the game starts you can see the shine off the players helmets when the lights hit it. Another thing that stuck out was when the referees are on the field calling the penalties you can see the improve lifelike graphics. Also the uniforms have jumped out at me as well. Looking at the neon green of the Seahawks jersey and the lively orange the broncos wear on the field shows they put a lot of time and patience behind the graphic. Furthermore, the new addition to the madden game comes with three new game styles and new passing to get down the field. It is the first time they have three different game choices. Introductory rationale: When it comes to social justice issues, most people believe the government needs to solve the problem. Social justice in sweatshops is no exception. In my research, I have found that what people see as the cause of injustice in developing countries, sweatshops, are actually what is responsible for lifting people up out of poverty. As a result, any sort of government regulation will fail to solve the problem. The audience I am writing for is a diverse group of peers who are concerned with social justice though they may have different solutions and beliefs about the topic. My goal in this draft is to expand their knowledge and show them the benefits of not interfering with the free market. I. The author talks about how the living standards rose due to sweatshops when he was a kid (Kristof). This article has a personal story from the author about improving conditions. This makes for a good pathos argument. 2) In the interview with the Mises Institute called, Sweatshops: A Way Out of Poverty, Powell talks about how living standards rise in areas with sweatshops as well as how sweatshops actually pay well in comparison to other jobs (Powell, ... One of the most well known philosopher, Thomas Hobbes, is known for his political thoughts. He is a kind of a guy that thinks about how people could actually live their life ignoring the conflicts happening around them. He believes that people have their own right to do whatever they desire by not what they are told to do. He also believes that a system of governing should be an individual person rather than a group from a foreign country asking them to do as they pleased. In order for him to do that, he wrote a book. His book is called Leviathan . In that book it is stated that people are incapable of ruling themselves, primarily because humans are naturally self centered and quarrelsome and need the iron fist of a strong leader. • 23. How Does Hume Determine Human Existence David Hume s An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding is a work which addresses and questions philosophical ideas through empirical epistemology. In this work, Hume focuses mainly on ideas of custom, causality, belief, and fiction. Not only, but Hume interconnects all of these, creating new ideas of perception, and asserts that although humans are reasonable creatures, there is no true reason as to why we should rely on causality to determine our actions. To illustrate, in Of the Origin of Ideas, Hume states, that during observation, rather than taking things as a they truly are, humans have a tendency to instead contort and alter their perceptions to work in their favor, and relate to them. For instance, Hume states, When we reflect on our past sentiments and affections, our thought is a faithful mirror, and copies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In other words, there is no reason to infer an existence from the appearance of another. Like stated prior, given the fact that perception is determined by past experience, Hume is correct in his statement. For instance, since perception is subjective, it is highly unreasonable to conclude causality. With all that said, Hume s philosophy can be applied to natural law. For example, natural laws are moral standards that govern human nature, based on the nature of the world. However, the ideas of natural laws were derived from instances of causality. With this in mind, it can be understood that not only is causality unreasonable, but also, in a way, is natural law. • 30. The Rhetorical Analysis Of Martin Luther s On Christian... Martin Luther wrote On Christian Liberty, as an attempt to avoid conflict with the Church. In it, he justifies his beliefs, primarily on the importance of placing faith in Christ above works in the grand scheme of salvation. Throughout the treatise, he address who a Christian should be, the nature humanity, and the role he believes faith, works, and ceremonies playing in forming a good Christian. This, in turn, entices the reader to critique and search of his or her self, what it means to be a good Christian and how to gain salvation. Within the first few pages of On Christian Liberty, Luther creates a paradox that causes readers to think deeply about their own role as believers of Christ. In it, he claims that a Christian is: ...a perfectly free lord of all, subject to none while, at the same time, being a perfectly dutiful servant, subject to all (pg.2). Through faith, the most important part of a person s salvation, a Christian gains freedom and liberty. However, a Christian becomes a servant of all through love, subjecting themselves to the needs of others as Christ did. Luther identifies the two natures of man as the body and the spirit. These two natures continuously conflict. The body is the flesh or a person s outward nature while the soul represents the inner person. The bodily nature of humanity has no bearing on the righteousness of the soul. Luther states that the soul cannot benefit if the body and flesh is well. Regardless of outward wealth, ... • 32. Effects Of Colonization In Africa J. Klíma argues that Africa was the most affected by colonization. Colonialism established artificial states which did not respect ethnic, natural and cultural units. Massive decolonization of the countries in Africa commenced mainly after the Second World War. The Anglophone countries struggled for their independence more or less successfully. Great Britain began to retreat from the Empire shortly after 1945. The British government fell back because they could not afford financing of the administration, army and other important issues to maintain their distant possessions. There was not only lack of interest to engage in African possessions, there was also general persuasion of illegitimacy of colonialism. It is confirmed by United Nations resolution (Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and People). According to this resolution, Recognizing the passionate yearning for freedom in all dependent peoples and the decisive role of such peoples in the attainment of their independence, and Recognizing that the peoples of the world ardently desire the end of colonialism in all its manifestations, Milestone in decolonization in sub Saharan Africa became ... The outbreak of BSE (Mad Cow Disease) is an example of this. Mosquitoes that carry malaria have been found on planes and so have infected seafood carrying cholera bacteria being shipped by boat. Compression of time through international air travel, boats, etc. make it likely for people to cross continents in periods of time shorter than the incubation periods of most diseases. Because of this people can infect others unbeknownst to them that anything is wrong. The globalization of food supplies needs safety standards for food production and processing. There should also be laws to protect their status in the country since they are part of it. They should have access to adequate health care and insurance and be paid sick leave. To not do this will only put the whole country at risk at outbreaks of food borne illnesses. New innovations in technology would help a great deal in decreasing the spread of disease. For example, finding an alternative way to have air in an airplane. The way we now have it the air in an airplane simply recirculates the air that s already there. So the diseases in the airplane are rebreathed and don t go away for the duration of the plan ride. This poses a greater risk for infection. A way to replace the air continually would decrease the risk. Dealing with the increase in urbanization in developing countries I found a lot more difficult to think about. None of the solutions seem easy and the problems are ongoing. There are too many people living in these urban area mostly for the pursuit of work, they don t have adequate drinking water, they have waste problems, along with a whole bunch of unsanitary conditions. The best I can think of is to have them be educated in jobs that they can do online so that they don t have the need to move to these areas. But this also brings of the question of how these laptops would be provided to teach them and how they would get wifi. Also there needs to be a system in place to get them access to clean ...
