The American Airlines Flight 1420 fatal accident is reported as a runway overrun accident. The NTSB
(National Transportation Safety Board) investigated the accident on what would result in the accident.
This work s basic objective is to put emphasis on the human aspects that resulted in the accident by
applying the Human Factor Analysis and Classification System (HFCAS). It also incorporates the
Swiss Chess approach to link the series of events that eventually became the set of events that
triggered the accident.
NTSB applied the HFCAS in the analysis of the human factors in the flight, and it was enlightening to
see that it proved on how the fatal even occurred. The HFACS synergized with the Swiss Chess
illustrates the manner in which one occurrence resonates to the other. Also, the model revealed that the
resources and regulations of the company after inadequate monitoring, combined with the prevalent
weather conditions and fatigued flight crew instigated unsafe actions. This includes wrong judgment
and errors that took place before and during the landing of the airplane.

2014). Although CBT has been known for the most effective treatment for social phobia, not all
patients show improvements after the treatment. Patients easily drop out during, or at the early stage
of the treatment. Even patients who successfully finished the entire session tend to have a hard time
continuing to use methods they learned and to maintain low level of anxiety, so the likelihood of
reoccurrence exists. Therefore, alternative ways to solve these weaknesses are needed in order to
develop the treatment itself and to provide the most matchable treatment method for each patient,

The goals of this study were to examine the efficacy of ACT compared to CBT and to find the

Compare And Contrast The Passionate Shepherd To His Love
The Idealist and the Realist are two rather different types of people. One sees the world in an
optimistic light, where the flowers seemingly always bloom and summer is ever lasting, while the
other sees the world as a skeptic and sees that all happiness at some point comes to an end. Within the
poems The Passionate Shepherd to his love and The Nymph s Reply to the Shepherd we see these two
types of people interact with one and another through letters as one expresses his love and the other
rejects it. We see how the Shepherd views the world and the blossoming of love and we see the
Nymph s view of the world and her skeptical view on love. The story of these two poems start with
the declaration of love from the Shepherd within The Passionate Shepherd to his love, with the first
line of the poem being Come live with me, and be my love yet what is his view on love? Well the
Shepherd within his poem to the Nymph, says that he d give her gifts like A cap of flowers and a kirtle
(Line 11, Shepherd) to her. Those aren t the only gifts either he even promises her a Gown made of the
finest wool (Line 13, Shepard), and also some Delights such as other Shepherds singing and dancing
for them(Line 21, Shepherd). The Shepherd seems to view that love is not moved by who one is, but
rather by bribes and entertainment which are different from the Nymph s own views. The Nymph
herself seems to be rather skeptical of the Shepherd and seemingly has a distrust of Shepherds due

The scientific purpose of this experiment was to examine the rate of enzyme activity of a potato
catalase when mixing 2.5 ml of potato catalyst with either 2.5 ml of H2O, 2.5 ml of 5% salt
concentration, 2.5 ml of 15% salt concentration, or 2.5 ml of 30% salt concentration. It was
hypothesized that the higher the concentration of salt each catalysts solution contained, the rate of
enzyme activity would decrease when applied to hydrogen peroxide. This was tested by measuring (up
to 240 seconds) in room temperature of 21 degrees Celsius how long it would take for each filter disk
(dosed with the various salt and potato catalase solutions) to float off of the bottom of the beaker that
contained hydrogen peroxide. The results of the experiment showed that enzyme activity decreased
with higher salt concentrations, that being in tube four (which contained 2.5 ml of potato catalase and
2.5 ml of 30% of salt concentration) all four filter paper disks did not float within the 240 second
