Wolsey s Responsibility For His Own Downfall Essay
Wolsey s Responsibility For His Own Downfall Thomas Wolsey can be easily viewed as being
responsible for his own downfall. John Guy believes that Wolsey was brilliant but flawed. His rise was
based on luck, charm, intelligence and opportunism. Wolsey had such high ambitions and gave Henry
the idea he was capable of getting him anything, so when Wolsey failed to get Henry a divorce, it was
seen as the final nail on the coffin to his downfall. His policies are also a cause to his downfall;
Wolsey s foreign policy was a success but also caused problems. On Wolsey s rise he created enemies,
which lead to the lack of support and opposition in his years as Chancellor. But it can also be viewed,

WASN T ====== But on Wolsey s rise he made many enemies and had poor relations with nobility.
His powerful office and close friendship with Henry earned him many enemies, particularly aristocrats
who resented his usurpation of their traditional influence. They also resented his great wealth. Over
the years, Wolsey amassed a vast fortune, though he spent lavishly, but he was also charitable and
personally financed many diplomatic missionaries. Most of the gentlemen who entered the
government service was for financial reward; Wolsey was not different. As the Kings chief minister,
he was expected to entertain foreign dignitaries and maintain suitable impressive lifestyle. His
increasingly ostentatious displays of wealth did, however, damage both his personal reputation and the
church. Wolsey s rise was a cause was a cause to his own fall; he gave Henry very high ambitions and

these lowly origins he defied all the rules of social mobility by becoming the richest and most
powerful man in England besides the King. His rise from being a butcher s son and becoming the

Theories Of Hominin Evolution
Thinking about evolutionary theory, some people s first thoughts are humans have come from
monkeys. From what I have learned thus far in Archaeology is that there is more to evolutionary
theory than what one would have previously thought. Prior to entering Introduction to Archaeology I
had almost no knowledge about hominin evolution. The only idea I had about hominin evolution is the
single line of an ape that evolves into a human. For me personally I did not see the relevance of
hominin evolution, I believed that evolution did happen, for example; Darwin s findings on the
Galapagos Islands with how finch beaks change depending on the diet. I believe that evolution does
occur, what I struggled with was the hominin evolution. Prior to class ... Show more content on

I especially enjoyed the video on homo Naledi, it was exciting and I thought it gave an in depth idea
of hominin evolution. It is important for Paleoanthropologists to continue their work because there
could so much more evidence that has not been uncovered yet. Earlier in my paper I said that my
previous understanding of hominin evolution was a straight line of an ape evolving into a human.
However, that is not at all the case. The hominin evolution is similar to many branches coming off of
each other into eventually what separates the earliest apes from the earliest humans. Branches do
come off that have no leads to any other type hominin, which is where the possibility lies on whether,
that branch went extinct, or the remaining branches have not been found yet. This is why the story of
discovering Sediba was so significant. Sediba was a branch of hominid that had never discovered
before it was a missing link from Australopithecus to Homo Ergaster. Without Paleoanthropologists
continuing to search out new evidence, Sediba may have never been found. Paleoanthropologists need
to continue to search for new evidence proving the evolution of hominids further, for many reasons.
One is to find more missing links in the branches like Sediba. Another reason is to

Personal Narrative-It s Me
What I do isn t easy, what I do isn t safe... It s me, it s the way I am, I will ride my hardest... I will not
quit even though the world tells me to stop, I will not stop. I will hold it wide open till I die. This
quote was written by Garrett George. While most people find their happiness in painting or video
games or even common sports like basketball, soccer, and baseball, I find mine in motocross. It s
music to my ears. It s a way of life, a passion... it s everything to me. Life is about finding what you

About half a year later, I found myself trying to get back into racing, but soccer got the best of me. I
ended up tearing the LCL in my right knee after being tripped in a game. The injury required surgery
to fix the tear so I could walk again and nine months of therapy to recover, costing about $25,000.
Over the period of absence from racing, I played soccer until 11th grade because I tore my IT band in
my hip and then competed on the bowling team my senior year. Over the years, I found myself a
stable job and began saving up. I always tried to distract myself from the thoughts of racing again, but
the passion was burning and I couldn t resist the temptation. This past summer, I drove to Old
Appleton, Missouri, to visit my friend Jared. While I was there Jared and I went to ride at a track
called Sky High since we used to race together when we were younger. Ever since that day, motocross
is all I can think about.. With the little free time I do have due to being in college and working full
time, I have found myself jumping head first back into doing what I love, racing. Many people have
told me that I would never get back to the top when it comes to racing. They tell me that I ll never be
able to make anything out of racing. I believe in myself and I am confident that I can. When people,
say these put downs, it encourages me to train even harder and do everything I can to make sure I
never lose the thing I love again. Now, those people look at me and wish they knew what was going
on in my mind that pushed me to prove them wrong. After years of hard work and countless hours at
the gym and on the track practicing, I was offered a full ride sponsorship with a local track. This
sponsorship has given me the opportunity of a lifetime! I have a racing dirt bike with free

Tragic Events In American History
The military attack carried out by the Imperial Japanese Navy on the United States naval base at Pearl
Harbor was a tragic occurrence in United States history. On December 7, 1941, the barrage led to the
loss of more than two thousand American lives. Americans under no circumstances believed the
Japanese would plan a direct attack on American soil due to the inconveniences and especially not in
Hawaii of all places. Nevertheless, the tragic event led to the involvement of the United States in
World War II after two years of conflict.
Nearly seventy four years later, while perusing a menu at a local Chinese restaurant in Stockbridge,
Georgia, the choice wording of sushi rolls raised a red flag. Names such as Pearl Harbor Roll and
Atomic Bomb Roll were listed under the Chef s Special Rolls along with Kamikaze Roll at the
establishment where the Japanese cuisine is also offered to customers. My family and I have dined at
the restaurant previously, but never before took notice of such details within the menu. As an
American whose great grandfather served in World War II, I was appalled upon discovering the

A Struggle For Employees Inside The Working Environment
Outside and interior strengths make a struggle for employees inside the working environment. With a
battling economy and perpetually expanding costs for sustenance, gas, utilities, and different items,
these outer hassles place struggle on workers home lives. Employees convey those outside clashes to
work. These outside hassles additionally put intense financial conditions on employers. The
workforces also feel the boss working environment loads as well. Chatter, bits of gossip and dread of
decreases in the workforce, cutting back because of changing innovation and outside exchange,
diminishments and terminations in hours worked with the loss of advantages, and loss of business
makes agitation and precariousness for both bosses and representatives. Indeed, even those employees
who are sufficiently fortunate to keep their occupations amid a financial downturn are tasked with
substantial workloads to compensate for the diminishments in the workforce and rare assets. These all
in mix prompts the condition, where organizations are compelled to create more with darling measure
of assets. The outer powers increase with a focused on the economy and typical interior strengths are
an actuality of working. Strains amongst bosses and employees, pay uniformity, security issues,
diverse interests and values among employees, identity conflicts between the workforce, poor

Crime In The Inner City
What ever happened to the mentality that it takes a village to raise a child? So often in today s society
we see violence on the news, and tend to shake our heads in disgust. Yet, as long as it does not affect
our lives we make no effort to seek out a way to change the world around us. Reverend Jeff Obafemi
Carr not only sees there is a growing problem of violent crimes in poverty stricken communities, but
he wants to make a difference. He established Build a Center, Heal a Community, to do so. Reverend
Carr envisioned a way to create a brighter future of the youth and improve the community that

that success begins at home, but what happens if a youth s home life is a one parent household or both

therefore leaving them to look for guidance elsewhere. Negative influence is the guidance these
youths tend to be drawn toward, because it gives them a sense of belonging to something. Build a

lives instead of the negative influences they are surrounded by. Doors can be opened for these youths
if given the proper guidance and tools. These youths can achieve a life in the world that once was

The Security Of Airport Security Screening
In the last thirteen years there have been major changes made in airport security. What brought the
changes and shook America to its core, is a day in history that no one will soon forget. Since 9/11, five
attempted terrorist attacks on U.S. airliners and airports have made airport security a continued
priority. Shortly after the 9/11 attacks, Congress passed the Aviation and Transportation Security Act,
which created the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and put federal employees in charge
of airport security screening (Bajoria). The process for airport security screenings lacked the ability to
secure a plane which caused the terrorist to be able to board the plane with ease. There are those that
argue that the increase in security has cost the country too much money and does more harm than
good. The U.S. has spent more than a trillion dollars to increase the security in all the airports across
the nation. According to Paul Borowsky and Gregory Delone, pilots were asked to complete surveys
to what they believed needed to be changed. In his book, the pilot wrote that policies were designed to
enhance security, however, he believed that they didn t take into consideration input from the pilots of
the airliners that the policies were made to protect. There is also the argument that the increased
security was an invasion of privacy. Passengers were having all their belongings placed on a table and
gone through which allowed other passengers to see

Smallpox Vaccines Essay
The world is full of dangers some seen while others slip right under the radar until it is too late.
According to the Merriam Webster online dictionary a vaccine is, a preparation of killed
microorganisms, living attenuated organisms, or living fully virulent organisms that is administered to
produce or artificially increase immunity to a particular disease. Before the invention of vaccines, the
immune system was left fighting a losing battle against some of mankind s worst enemies, but with
the help of vaccines humans have a tool to strengthen their immune system and fight back against
these unseen killers. Vaccines defeat deadly viruses, strengthen society, and change lives.
Invented by an English physician, Jenner Edwards, in 1796 vaccines have come to defeat many deadly
viruses. Through experimentation and hard work, Jenner created the first vaccine for the deadly
smallpox virus. Jenner spent much of his life researching and experimenting to find a way to beat
smallpox, and in 1796 from the teats of cows Jenner invented the first effective smallpox vaccine.
After infecting children with a small amount of cowpox, Jenner discovered that the children built up

Was Disney Justified In The Film Moana
Lately, three articles were reviewed for the film, Moana, depicting whether Disney was being
stereotypical and insensitive to the Polynesian culture. Many people think that Disney was wrong in
the depiction of the character s appearances, especially relating to the demigod character, Maui.
Disney was justified in creating the Moana film and was not culturally insensitive to the Polynesian
people because Disney had spent 5 years just getting the characters correct by Polynesian standard,
they also looked far and hard in order to get Polynesian voice actors and songwriters, and finally, the
Disney team took the time out of their lives in order to make the setting of the movie as authentic as

choreographers, musicians, and linguists called the Oceanic Trust. Together, this group helped to
shape Moana and keep the writing and design as authentic as possible. Moreover, this evidence shows
Disney had taken in a lot of accounts to get the setting of Moana very similar to what Polynesian
islands would look like. To add onto, the team took time out of their lives just to go visit these foreign
places, to make sure that their movie was perfect. The team working on the Moana film not only
accomplished their setting, but was able to get the Polynesian setting so well that they even wowed the
Polynesian people working on the movie. In article 1 it states, They are making a film inspired by my

was said by a Polynesian person Am I still grounded and rooted in the way I want to be? And I can

Ancient Artifacts Of The Great Things That Is Known About...
One of the great things that is known about Darius is his understanding the importance of religions
within his empire. During his stay in Egypt, Darius gave tributes to the Egyptian gods and dedicated
many temples to some of them. Ancient artifacts show that there were sacrifices made to several
deities of different cultures. He supported faiths and religions of his empire as long as the believers
were submissive and peaceful. It was established during Darius reign that the king was a believer in

as well as the evolution of their literature (the Old Testament ).
During the first year of the reign of Darius, he placed several governors to be in charged of twenty

Konstantin Sergeivich Stanislavski was born in 1863 and dies in 1938. He was a Russian actor,

=====================================================================
Stanislavski believed that theatre was about working together, he recognized the need to improve the

core of the play. These large units were then given titles which defined their objectives and were then

The superobjective, when deciding on the superobjective the cast simply had to come up with a simple
sentence that summed up the significance of the play as a whole, taking into account their
interpretations of the authors intentions. Stanislavski believed that this helped the actors focus on a
key idea, which they were all contributing to through their role in the performance. Therefor he
believed it was important that all of the actors involved in the production to know and agree on the

The method of physical actions, This idea grew from Stanislavski s feeling that his actors were being

vastly different ways.

Who Is Flawed In Edith Hamilton s Mythology Flawed
I Woke Up Like This : Flawed
One of the common things among cultures is myths. Myths are deeply ingrained within the cultures
we grow up in. Whether it s Johnny Appleseed in the US or the Talking Foxes of Eritrea. Myths give
birth to heroes. And heroes plant different seeds in people depending upon the moral of the story. Such
messages are portrayed in Edith Hamilton s book, Mythology , which depicts different heroes with
different stories. Heroes are more inspirational when depicted as flawed due to their likability to
human beings, thereby being more relatable to common people and spurring confidence that they re
just as capable.
Hercules is one of the heroes whose flaws and strengths are distinct and obvious. He s strong and
powerful, as well as brave. However he also murdered his family . He was very reckless and had an
explosive rage. He was quite daft as well. In fact, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Reading about clean cut and immaculate heroes would make them strive to reach that level of
perfection. In fact Life, Death, and Subjectivity: Moral Sources in Bioethics a philosophical book on
existence by Stan Van Hooft states, ....every living thing must strive for its own perfection (pg.110).
However, this argument neglects the fact that the idea of perfection is subjective. Creating a box by
which you would abide by, in order to achieve perceived perfection is very limiting. On top of that, the
strive for perfection is a bottomless pit. Meaning perfection is unattainable and attempting to achieve
it will prove futile. It would only lead to self dissatisfaction and shame for not achieving it. One can
only try their best and proceed to learn from their mistakes as well grow and overcome their flaws.
Flawed heroes serve as examples to audiences that will internalize what they read/see and grasp that
their flaws shouldn t disturb their journey and matters they take on in

The support system for renewable energy in Romania, i.e. quota system with tradable green
certificates, was launched in 2004 in order to achieve two goals: to reduce the prices for consumers
and to protect the generators of renewable electricity. Wind energy, solar energy, biomass, micro hydro
and geothermal energy are all sources of energy that can be supported by this system [68].
The trading of green certificates is ensured by OPCOM (green certificates market operator) who
establishes the prices on the centralized market of green certificates. The green certificates are sold on
the green certificates market, independently from electricity sold on the electricity market. The green

Renewable electricity producers operate both on the electricity market (as producers of electricity),
and on the green certificates market (as owners of green certificates). If they do not fulfill the annual
mandatory quota, then they have to pay a penalty equal to the value of the green certificates not
purchased. The payment is made to Transelectrica S.A., who is the power grid company.
The evolutions of the Romanian economy and energy sector, as well as the international trends have
induced the necessity of updating the strategies, policies, plans and programs previously developed.
The Romanian Energy Strategy for the period 2007 2020 updated for the period 2011 2020 states as
the overall objective of the energy sector to meet the energy needs both now and in the medium and
long term, at the lowest possible price, suitable for a modern economy, and a decent standard of living,
in terms of quality and energy security, respecting the principles of sustainable development [61].
Having in mind the role of energy in society and in all economic sectors, the development of this
sector is made under the supervision of the state, through the development and the implementation of
the sector strategy.
For the promotion of renewable energy sources the strategy envisages the following measures [61]:

Four Major Themes In Borderlands La Frontera By Gloria...
Borderlands Essay
What I m going to talk about is four major themes from the book, Borderlands La Frontera by Gloria
AnzaldĂșa. The four major themes I chose to talk about are first, how you shouldn t be ashamed of
yourself, then how AnzaldĂșa shows deviant behavior throughout the book, also, how she found herself
through poetry, and lastly, America s melting pot.
Don t Be Ashamed of Yourself When reading the book, Borderlands La Frontera, AnzaldĂșa is
basically telling us don t be ashamed of who you are. In chapter two, AnzaldĂșa starts off by talking
about how being raised as a Catholic, it was taught that being a homosexual was a choice and it is not
something you genetically inherited (AnzaldĂșa, 2012, p. 41). AnzaldĂșa, who is a ... Show more

The woman is supposed to clean, and cook for her family. Also, a woman is supposed to listen to her
husband and not disobey. Women are made to feel like total failures if they do not get married and
have children, so in their culture they are seen as deviant. AnzaldĂșa talks about how when she was
younger she knew that she something was wrong with her. She started talking about her deviant
behavior of how she refuses to take orders from authorities. She wouldn t take orders from her parents
and she wouldn t do chores. There was a rebel in her. She called it The Shadow Beast (AnzaldĂșa,
2012, p. 38).
AnzaldĂșa was seen as a deviant because she was a lesbian. This time, she wasn t just seen as a deviant
to America, she was seen as deviant to her own culture. In her culture, as a woman, AnzaldĂșa is
supposed to marry a man. AnzaldĂșa was raised as a Catholic and was taught that being a homosexual
was a choice and it is not something you genetically inherited. If a woman does not marry a man she is
a Mujer mala, meaning a bad woman (AnzaldĂșa, 2012, p. 38). AnzaldĂșa felt like an alien. Who would
want to be disowned by their family, or even the whole village? People usually blame the kid s parents
for the kid being a homosexual. You can t come out of the closet because if you do, then you not only
ruin your reputation, you ruin your family s reputation.

Mexican War Research Paper
Wars and Revolutions happen all around the world. Every war and revolution started because of its
own reasons. Some are to gain power, land or freedom. One revolution that stands out to me was the
Mexican War of independence. It started in 1810 and ended 1821. The war is significant compared to
the other Latin American War of Independence. The American and French Revolution influenced this
war of independence. The Mexico cannot stay behind and still be controlled by the Spanish; they
decided to start their revolution to make themselves free. After 11 years of fighting, they finally
defeated the Spain and declared themselves free. This war was significant not only because they are

Disgust Anger And Stereotypes
Participants completed five sets of questionnaires in order to evaluate all the variables needed.
Trait Anger (TA) was measured using a 10 item sub scale of the State Trait Anger Scale (STAXI;
Spielberger, 1996). Responses were made on a 4 point scale (scores ranged from 1=almost never to
4=almost always) to statements regarding anger. Disgust Propensity (DP) was assessed using an 8
item sub scale of a longer measure the Disgust Propensity and Sensitivity Scale Revised (DPSS R).
This particular sub scale measures the frequency with which one experiences disgust (Olatunji, Cisler,

Moral emotions and intuition come first and directly cause moral judgment (Shweder Haidt, 1993).
Researchers use personal moral dilemmas in order to test the association between moral emotions and
moral judgment. Personal moral dilemmas and judgments concern the appropriateness of personal
moral violations (Greene et al., 2004). The footbridge dilemma is an example of a personal dilemma
(Thomson, 1986). A trolley is racing down a track towards five workmen on the track who will be
killed if nothing is done to the trolley. You and a large stranger are standing in between the trolley and
the five workmen. The only way to save the five people is to push the stranger next to you onto the
track to stop the oncoming trolley but he will die in the process. Most people would not push the
stranger onto the track (Greene et al., 2001). Not pushing the stranger is a deontological response (do
not kill innocents), whereas pushing the stranger is a utilitarian response (greatest good for greatest
number). In Choe and Min s study (2011), it was concluded that disgust propensity had a negative
correlation to utilitarian judgment, while trait anger had correlated positively to utilitarian judgment.
They had a variety of personal moral scenarios that were randomised and given to the participants,
who were asked to choose an emotion that they felt. In order to have a better understanding

Project Management As The Management Of The Work
According to Russell and Taylor (2014), the project management as the management of the work,
including work break down structure, to develop and implement a new idea, innovation or a change in

PERT/CPM techniques
PERT/CPM are two popular tools which are derivatives of the Gantt chart and as a result are very
similar. The Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) which considers probabilistic
estimates for task durations, provides a graphics and visual representation of the interrelationship and
sequence of individual project activities to determine the expected project duration (SNHU, 2015).
The Critical Path Method (CPM) is a one of the other tools to identify the paths through the project
activities and uses one time estimate when the duration of the task is solid, whereas PERT uses three
time estimates. Over a time CPM and PERT tools have been merged and referred as CPM/PERT. The
CPM/PERT uses a network to depict the precedence relationships between activities which is
advantage over Gantt chart.
The CPM/PERT network are a more efficient as well as direct means of displaying precedence
relationships and in a network which is visually easier to see the precedence relationships. Due to this
reason CPM/PERT is

The Grapes Of Wrath And Jacob Lawrence s The Grapes Of Wrath
During the Dust Bowl and Great Depression migration in the United States impacted the nation just as
much as immigration did in the early twentieth century. The Dust Bowl was the time in which severe
dust storms occurred in the South because the ground was so infertile from all the years of farming on
it the wind would blow it away. Along with other agricultural and economic reasons it was during this
time that many Southerners began their migration North in search of work. John Steinman s, The
Grapes of Wrath and Jacob Lawrence s, The Migration Series demonstrate one characteristic of the
American Dream, the pursuit of happiness, through the theme of family both during times of need and
difficult situations.
The mother figures had the job to take care of everyone and make sure the family remained together
and one during their journey. One scene in The Grapes of Wrath the Joad family just arrived at a camp
and Mama Joad was making food when all the kids around her came to see if they could be fed too.
She knew she needed to take care of her family first and made sure that was a priority. After they were
fed she extended her love and care to the children of the camp by offering them what was left of the
remaining food. It was because of her nurturing persona she was able to find a way to feed the
children as well her family. Panel 11 labeled Food had doubled in price because of the war (68 69)

The Consequences Of Bonnie And Clyde
Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were two of the most notorious criminals of the 1930 s. Known for
robbery, murder and kidnapping the two spent most of their criminal career hiding and running from
law enforcement. They encountered many different people on the run, some of which became
accomplice s others became victims. The movie Bonnie and Clyde is a basic interpretation of the
events that led up to the gruesome killings of the couple.
It started January 5th, 1930 when Bonnie and Clyde first met at a mutual friend s house (Browder). At
the time of their fateful meeting, Bonnie was already married to Roy Thornton, who was at the time
serving a five year sentence in prison (Strickland). They grew close in a short period of time and soon
later Clyde was arrested on charges of burglary and went to jail. A short time later, by smuggling
Clyde a gun in his jail cell, Bonnie helped him escape. However, it was not long after that he was
arrested again, he went back to jail and was sentenced to two years. However, he only remained there
for several months until he was released on general parole because of his mothers pleading with the
governor (Guinn). Ironically just before he was to be released, a fellow convict in the same facility
was asked by Clyde to chop of two of his toes in order to escape the difficult work detail. (Mcgasko).
By 1932, Bonnie and Clyde were together again and began their crime spree not long after. Clyde,
Bonnie, and a few others started to rob small

Examples Of Greek Heroes In The Odyssey
Greek Hero or Ordinary Mortal? Throughout all of the Greek mythology and texts that I have read,
each story contains one or more heroes. A hero is a person who is selfless and somehow gets all of the
attention in a story because he or she causes some sort of change. There is always someone who gains
leadership qualities throughout the story and ends of saving the rest of the people. One particular
person who stood out to me was Odysseus. Odysseus was an ordinary person who eventually
accomplished a huge task. He ruled Ithaca with his wife, Penelope, and throughout the story, he tried

Odysseus was a mere mortal with the same flaws as everyone else. Although he came back to his wife,

the removal of James II, a Stuart, from England due to his absolutist and catholic tendencies, because
the majority of English people were Anglican at the time. Locke, along with many other people, felt
threatened when James II began to pack parliament with his friends and supporters. This was a huge
problem, because parliament is in charge with representing the people, protecting their rights as
English citizens, which includes freedom of speech and property. Eventually, James II left England for
France in exile, and King William and Queen Mary became the new leaders. They signed the English
Bill of Rights to protect certain civil liberties, and in terms of property, the Bill of Rights states that
taxes cannot be levied without consent from Parliament. Taxes can be a direct threat to someone s
property; if an individual cannot afford to pay their taxes, they will lose their property. In sum, John
Locke writes The Two Treatises of Government the exact same year as the Glorious Revolution, to
express why James II was

Mediation and Peacekeeping Agenda in International Relations
MEDIATION AND PEACEKEEPING AGENDA In International Relations, mediation and
peacekeeping are the very essence of what are international relations itself, international organizations
and regional organization like the African Union. First established by the United Nations decades ago,
it has played an outstanding role in the peaceful aim and determination of armed conflict around the
world. It was at the end of the Cold War that it mostly reached its peak as many long term conflicts
were finally coming to an end due to the political negotiations which were often broken but were
successfully applied after strong mediation and peacekeeping effort. For this thesis of the Darfur
conflict, to assess and examine the African Union s mediation and peacekeeping agenda, we must first
understand and differentiate between peacemaking and peacekeeping. Then their role in the Darfur
conflict could be analyzed and if they have had an outstanding role as in many others armed conflict.
Definition of Mediation and Peacekeeping What is mediation? What is peacemaking? Peacemaking
and mediation are deeply intertwine and cannot be defined without one another. But what is
peacemaking? Peacemaking has been defined by many scholars and critics. For Douglas Noll, an
expert in peacemaking and mediation specialized in difficult and intractable conflicts; he defined
peacemaking as a complex concept as even peace can be defined in so many ways. But however he
described peacemaking as a concept

What Is The Mood Of The Poem Mending Wall
Why Walls?
In the poem Mending Wall the author Robert Frost uses poetic elements to express the idea that
barriers to communication, exchange of ideas and relationships should be questioned. By the use of
particular form, rhythm and tone, his choice of words, and use of imagery and symbols the author uses
a small poem to express a large idea.
The poem is written in blank verse, which is unrimed iambic pentameter. According to the authors of
Backpack Literature, X. J. Kennedy and Dana Gioia, Many writers, such as Robert Frost, feel iambs
most easily capture the natural rhythms of our speech. (503) This is a good choice for this lyric poem
in which the speaker seems to be sharing his observations with the reader as if they were friends. ...

The wall in the poem is a stone wall between the fields belonging to two neighbors. In the spring they
work together to set the wall between us once again (14). The wall is a symbol for division, separation
and barriers to friendship, communication and relationships. The author s use of the tactile image of
we wear our fingers rough with handling them (20) shows how much effort is involved in maintaining
walls. Maintaining distance between other people also requires effort. In the line He is all pine and I
am apple orchard (24) the author uses the symbol of the two different types of trees to represent the
two neighbors, and the difference between staying fixed behind a rigid wall and being willing to be
open to new ideas, to allow the wall to come down. The neighbor s pines are a hard wood with prickly
pine cones and needle shaped leaves that are unchanging as an evergreen. His ideas are also hard and
unchanging. The speaker s trees are deciduous apple trees that provide nourishing food, sweet
smelling flowers and change with the seasons like his openness to the idea of leaving the wall down.
There is also a contrast between the speaker s fanciful description of the something that doesn t love a
wall (35) as elves (36) and the image of the neighbor as an old stone savage

The Role Of Muckraking In Haiti
In total, the American Red Cross has received $488m in donations to aid in rebuilding the poor
neighborhood of Campeche in Haiti s capital city, Port Au Prince (Sullivan et al.). With this copious
amount of money, the organization has only built six permanent homes in all of Haiti. Where did all of
that money go, and why hasn t it been used to provide assistance to the poor country? Thanks to
muckraking done by NPR and ProPublica s investigative journalists, there has been information
uncovered about the American Red Cross s scandal. Muckraking does still exist as demonstrated by
Laura Sullivan and Justin Elliot s 2015 series, How the Red Cross Raised Half a Billion Dollars for
Haiti and Built Six Homes . ProPublica and NPR published Laura ... Show more content on

The prime minister of Haiti (who served when the earthquake hit), Jean Max Bellerive, publicly
criticized the American Red Cross by saying that the Haitian government needs to take legal actions
that demand accountability. Another castigator, U.S. representative Rick Nolan, a Democrat from
Minnesota, has called for the House oversight committee to hold hearings regarding the Red Cross s
plan to help Haiti. Many other angry calls for investigation have been made in other states. The
American Red Cross finished off the conference by ending with a statement from Red Cross
spokeswoman, Jana Sweeney. The Red Cross is happy to talk with any member of Congress who has
questions about our relief work in Haiti, or elsewhere, she said

C-Reactive Drug Case Study
NONCONVENTIONAL RISK MARKERS C Reactive Protein (CRP) One of the best studied
biomarker of inflammation process is the acute phase reactant CRP. Some studies found that cells

cerebrovascular, CAD, peripheral arterial disease among apparently healthy persons, even if LDL
cholesterol levels are not high.38 individuals with high CRP levels and low levels of LDL C actually
have higher absolute vascular risk than those with high levels of LDL C but low levels of CRP.39

Elevated NLR, is a strong predictor of stable coronary artery disease (CAD), its development,
progression and mortality.52,53,54,55 The predictive superiority of NLR may be due to the fact that
NLR is a ratio integrating the deleterious effects of Ns, which are responsible for innate immunity and
lymphopenia, which is a marker of poor general condition.56 Coronary artery anatomy: Left Main
Coronary Artery The left main coronary artery (LMCA) arises from the left aortic coronary sinus
ranging in diameter from 3 to 6 mm and up to 10 to 15 mm length. It courses behind the right
ventricular outflow tract and usually bifurcates into the left anterior descending artery (LAD) and left
circumflex (LCx) branches. Rarely, the LMCA artery is absent, and the LAD and LCx arteries arises
from separate ostia. In some patients, the LMCA trifurcates into the LAD, LCx and the ramus
intermedius which arises between the LAD and the LCx arteries. Left Anterior Descending Artery The
left anterior descending (LAD) artery passes along the surface of interventricular groove anteriorly
toward the cardiac apex. It gives several septal perforators and diagonal branches. Most patients have
one to three diagonal branches. In most patients the LAD rounds along the left ventricular apex and
ends at the diaphragmatic surface of the left ventricle.

Gnomeo And Juliet Essay
many love stories originate from previously existed love, as either to continue the story or to improve
on the story line or even just to recreate the story/play into a movie. There are many successful
remakes of plays and some that did not work out, as they did not contain the deep roots and meanings
of the original play/ story. Many Shakespearian plays and stories were recreated into movies to
entertain audiences and to get the morals across to the audience by a more naĂŻve and a youthful way
for all kinds of watchers. William Shakespeare has wrote many plays that hold vast concepts that do
nit intrigue the reader when he/she reads it but when they understand the concept and story behind it.
Romeo and Juliet is a tragic play written by William ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is a cartoon based version of Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet are gnomes in
Gnomeo and Juliet; the story line is pretty much similar to the actual Romeo and Juliet. Gnomeo and
Juliet have many twists and turns that make it applicable for young audiences to watch and
understand. The gnomes are set in 2 peoples backyards and Juliet s family are the red gnomes and
Romeos family are the blue gnomes. The owners of both houses and the mother and father of Romeo
and Juliet are Capulet and Montague in Shakespeare s version. The gnomes are to only to move when
the owners of both houses are not present. Gnomeo and Juliet both fell in love but when they learnt
that they are both from nemesis families, they knew their love is forbidden. When the family found
out that Juliet loves Gnomeo they went to war in their own backyards and Romeos best friend ordered
a lawn mower to win the battle faster but that only turned it into the worse as a monument fell over
Romeo and Juliet, but thankfully they didn t die. The story ends with both families and homeowners in
peace and Romeo and Juliet getting

Devil Facial Tumor Disease Analysis
Devil Facial Tumor Disease (DFTD) can be recognized by lumps around the face and neck.
(Evolution.berkeley.edu, 2008),which causes starvation in 12 18 months due to feeding difficulties and
therefore death (Deakin and Belov, 2012) . This fatal disease affects only Tasmanian devils, marsupial
carnivores of Tasmania. Scientists reported that devils may be responding to DFTD by breeding
earlier before the disease kills them, which could help the species survive longer (Hamede, McCallum
and Jones, 2012).
DFTD spreads due to biting between animals during mating or feeding. The cancer cells themselves
are the infective agent, as opposed to a transmissible virus that leads to Tumor formation. in the case
of the devils (Pearse et al., 2012), the genes that could differentiate between own and foreign cells are
so similar between the cancer and host, that the devil s immune system does not identify the cancer, ...

breeding females (Deakin et al., 2012). Females with genes for early breeding would be advantageous
over standard breeding times females , and due to this reproduction difference, the population may
have undergone evolution(McCallum et al., 2009). Alternatively, it could be that the population
genetic makeup have not undergone any changes, but with more food access due to a reduced devil

Exercise On Depression
The one research study I wanted to focus on was the Effects of Exercise on Depression because I
wanted to learn more about exercise helping depression or anxiety, so I performed some extra
research. One of the research study site I visited was called, Exercise for Stress and Anxiety by the
Anxiety and Depression Association of America. Another research study site I visited was called, The
Benefits of Exercise for the Clinically Depressed by Lynette L. Craft and Frank M. Perna. One claim
made by the article Effects of Exercise on Depression says, 80 male and female volunteers . . . then
did aerobics for an hour. That group was most likely to benefit, reporting a reduction in anger, fatigue,
and tension ( Effects of Exercise on Depression 1). According to this article, after people who suffered
from depression exercised, they reported less of their symptoms ... Show more content on

First, the information seems logical and when the information is cross compared with other articles,
the articles contain similar information, all saying the same thing about the correlation between
depression and exercise. Also, the authors for both articles either have a Ph.D or come from a well
known research branch and organization. This means both authors are experts in this field and
understand the effects of depression along with exercise. One question I would pose to researchers
interested in exercise and depression would be, Does exercise have the same positive effects on
depression when tested with teenagers? Another question I had in order to take the research further
was, If exercise doesn t work to combat depression in special cases, what would be the next step to
help those who reject exercise as a solution to depression? When researching more about this topic, I
truly learned a lot about the wonders of

Protagonist In The Cask Of Amontillado
How far would you go to make your adversary pay for what he or she has done to you? In the novel, it
is already pointing out the disagreement between the two main characters in the first few lines. The
disagreement includes the antagonist (Fortunado) being very physical towards the protagonist
(Amontillado) but when the antagonist ventures into insult, the protagonist becomes imprudent and
jumps right into what type of revenge he will do to make him pay. Is the protagonist within reason or
just plain delirious? Amontillado has a very diverse and complex way of being. He not only wants to
punish his victim, he wants to punish him with impunity, which means to be exempt from the
consequences. Amontillado is inclined toward using Fortunado s

John Guy believes that Wolsey was brilliant but flawed. His rise was based on luck, charm, intelligence and opportunism. Wolsey had such high ambitions and gave Henry the idea he was capable of getting him anything, so when Wolsey failed to get Henry a divorce, it was seen as the final nail on the coffin to his downfall. His policies are also a cause to his downfall; Wolsey s foreign policy was a success but also caused problems. His powerful office and close friendship with Henry earned him many enemies, particularly aristocrats who resented his usurpation of their traditional influence. They also resented his great wealth. Most of the gentlemen who entered the government service was for financial reward; Wolsey was not different. From what I have learned thus far in Archaeology is that there is more to evolutionary theory than what one would have previously thought. Prior to entering Introduction to Archaeology I had almost no knowledge about hominin evolution. The only idea I had about hominin evolution is the single line of an ape that evolves into a human. For me personally I did not see the relevance of hominin evolution, I believed that evolution did happen, for example; Darwin s findings on the Galapagos Islands with how finch beaks change depending on the diet. I believe that evolution does occur, what I struggled with was the hominin evolution. Prior to class ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I especially enjoyed the video on homo Naledi, it was exciting and I thought it gave an in depth idea of hominin evolution. It is important for Paleoanthropologists to continue their work because there could so much more evidence that has not been uncovered yet. Earlier in my paper I said that my previous understanding of hominin evolution was a straight line of an ape evolving into a human. However, that is not at all the case. The hominin evolution is similar to many branches coming off of each other into eventually what separates the earliest apes from the earliest humans. Branches do come off that have no leads to any other type hominin, which is where the possibility lies on whether, that branch went extinct, or the remaining branches have not been found yet. This is why the story of discovering Sediba was so significant. Sediba was a branch of hominid that had never discovered before it was a missing link from Australopithecus to Homo Ergaster. Without Paleoanthropologists continuing to search out new evidence, Sediba may have never been found. Paleoanthropologists need to continue to search for new evidence proving the evolution of hominids further, for many reasons. One is to find more missing links in the branches like Sediba. Another reason is to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Tragic Events In American History The military attack carried out by the Imperial Japanese Navy on the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor was a tragic occurrence in United States history. Americans under no circumstances believed the Japanese would plan a direct attack on American soil due to the inconveniences and especially not in Hawaii of all places. • 10. The Security Of Airport Security Screening In the last thirteen years there have been major changes made in airport security. What brought the changes and shook America to its core, is a day in history that no one will soon forget. Since 9/11, five attempted terrorist attacks on U.S. airliners and airports have made airport security a continued priority. Shortly after the 9/11 attacks, Congress passed the Aviation and Transportation Security Act, which created the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and put federal employees in charge of airport security screening (Bajoria). The process for airport security screenings lacked the ability to secure a plane which caused the terrorist to be able to board the plane with ease. There are those that argue that the increase in security has cost the country too much money and does more harm than good. The U.S. has spent more than a trillion dollars to increase the security in all the airports across the nation. According to Paul Borowsky and Gregory Delone, pilots were asked to complete surveys to what they believed needed to be changed. In his book, the pilot wrote that policies were designed to enhance security, however, he believed that they didn t take into consideration input from the pilots of the airliners that the policies were made to protect. Before the invention of vaccines, the immune system was left fighting a losing battle against some of mankind s worst enemies, but with the help of vaccines humans have a tool to strengthen their immune system and fight back against these unseen killers. Vaccines defeat deadly viruses, strengthen society, and change lives. Invented by an English physician, Jenner Edwards, in 1796 vaccines have come to defeat many deadly viruses. The differences between the ideas can be illustrated by comparing two key artworks; The Pre Raphaelite Ophelia by John Everett Millais, and the conceptual The Physical Impossibility Of Death In The Mind Of Someone Living by Damien Hirst, both pieces deal with the idea of mortality in vastly different ways. The Pre Raphaelites are at a more extreme end of traditional art ideals, Ophelia is beautiful; she is an idealistic image of a woman, even in death, and the viewer is invited to sympathize with her and her grief in a poetic sense. Moral emotions and intuition come first and directly cause moral judgment (Shweder Haidt, 1993). Researchers use personal moral dilemmas in order to test the association between moral emotions and moral judgment. Personal moral dilemmas and judgments concern the appropriateness of personal moral violations (Greene et al., 2004). The footbridge dilemma is an example of a personal dilemma (Thomson, 1986). A trolley is racing down a track towards five workmen on the track who will be killed if nothing is done to the trolley. • 39. Walden Two Research Paper The bond between parent and child is something that is truly special. The television show Gilmore Girls redefined the parent child relationships on more than just television. Television shows of the past have often kept the lives of the parent and the child separate whereas the two main characters of Lorelai and Rory break this mold. They put out an example for all viewers on how the child and parent can function in the same realm. For them, spending the night watching movies together isn t some kind of forced bonding, but a time to actively seek each other s company. But this bond does more than just solidify a mother daughter friendship, it allows them to support each other through life s worst and best moments. There are boundaries that ... The communal child rearing and altered family ideals allow for the creation of independent, self controlled and charming children, but regardless, this kind of community would not survive in our world today. The idea of not having previously identified parents or things like individualism, are shocking to some. There are certain aspects of this world that could potentially survive in our world. Things like the use of role models, some form of separation within marriage and community support are all things that could drastically help to shape the lives of our children. Giving a child a sense of community and belonging is something pivotal in their lives. Without the communities that have always surrounded me, I would not be the same person. Those around me have helped to shape me without really knowing the impact that they have had on me. Religion, Private Property, And Politics Taylor O Sullivan Religion, private property, and politics combined to benefit the common good Religion and private property are thought to be exceedingly influential in regards to politics, and many political theorists would agree with this statement. John Locke, an imperative leader in the Enlightenment movement in Europe, thoroughly expresses the relationship between government, religion, and private property in his writing, The Two Treatises of Government. Locke examines his belief that all humans are free and equal by nature, and they have the the right to life, liberty, and private property. Before examining the relationship between private property, religion, and politics, it is imperative to recognize the historical context as to what was happening at the time when John Locke wrote The Two Treatises of Government. Locke began to articulate his views, particularly in The Two Treatise of Government, during the Glorious Revolution in late 17th century England. This revolution involved the removal of James II, a Stuart, from England due to his absolutist and catholic tendencies, because the majority of English people were Anglican at the time. Locke, along with many other people, felt threatened when James II began to pack parliament with his friends and supporters. This was a huge problem, because parliament is in charge with representing the people, protecting their rights as English citizens, which includes freedom of speech and property. Eventually, James II left England for France in exile, and King William and Queen Mary became the new leaders. They signed the English Bill of Rights to protect certain civil liberties, and in terms of property, the Bill of Rights states that taxes cannot be levied without consent from Parliament. Taxes can be a direct threat to someone s property; if an individual cannot afford to pay their taxes, they will lose their property. In sum, John Locke writes The Two Treatises of Government the exact same year as the Glorious Revolution, to express why James II was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. Mediation and Peacekeeping Agenda in International Relations MEDIATION AND PEACEKEEPING AGENDA In International Relations, mediation and peacekeeping are the very essence of what are international relations itself, international organizations and regional organization like the African Union. First established by the United Nations decades ago, it has played an outstanding role in the peaceful aim and determination of armed conflict around the world. It was at the end of the Cold War that it mostly reached its peak as many long term conflicts were finally coming to an end due to the political negotiations which were often broken but were successfully applied after strong mediation and peacekeeping effort. For this thesis of the Darfur conflict, to assess and examine the African Union s mediation and peacekeeping agenda, we must first understand and differentiate between peacemaking and peacekeeping. Then their role in the Darfur conflict could be analyzed and if they have had an outstanding role as in many others armed conflict. Definition of Mediation and Peacekeeping What is mediation? What is peacemaking? Peacemaking and mediation are deeply intertwine and cannot be defined without one another. But what is peacemaking? Peacemaking has been defined by many scholars and critics. For Douglas Noll, an expert in peacemaking and mediation specialized in difficult and intractable conflicts; he defined peacemaking as a complex concept as even peace can be defined in so many ways. But however he described peacemaking as a concept ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. What Is The Mood Of The Poem Mending Wall Why Walls? In the poem Mending Wall the author Robert Frost uses poetic elements to express the idea that barriers to communication, exchange of ideas and relationships should be questioned. By the use of particular form, rhythm and tone, his choice of words, and use of imagery and symbols the author uses a small poem to express a large idea. The poem is written in blank verse, which is unrimed iambic pentameter. According to the authors of Backpack Literature, X. J. Kennedy and Dana Gioia, Many writers, such as Robert Frost, feel iambs most easily capture the natural rhythms of our speech. (503) This is a good choice for this lyric poem in which the speaker seems to be sharing his observations with the reader as if they were friends. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The wall in the poem is a stone wall between the fields belonging to two neighbors. In the spring they work together to set the wall between us once again (14). The wall is a symbol for division, separation and barriers to friendship, communication and relationships. The author s use of the tactile image of we wear our fingers rough with handling them (20) shows how much effort is involved in maintaining walls. Maintaining distance between other people also requires effort. In the line He is all pine and I am apple orchard (24) the author uses the symbol of the two different types of trees to represent the two neighbors, and the difference between staying fixed behind a rigid wall and being willing to be open to new ideas, to allow the wall to come down. The neighbor s pines are a hard wood with prickly pine cones and needle shaped leaves that are unchanging as an evergreen. His ideas are also hard and unchanging. The speaker s trees are deciduous apple trees that provide nourishing food, sweet smelling flowers and change with the seasons like his openness to the idea of leaving the wall down. There is also a contrast between the speaker s fanciful description of the something that doesn t love a wall (35) as elves (36) and the image of the neighbor as an old stone savage ... It courses behind the right ventricular outflow tract and usually bifurcates into the left anterior descending artery (LAD) and left circumflex (LCx) branches. Rarely, the LMCA artery is absent, and the LAD and LCx arteries arises from separate ostia. In some patients, the LMCA trifurcates into the LAD, LCx and the ramus intermedius which arises between the LAD and the LCx arteries. Left Anterior Descending Artery The left anterior descending (LAD) artery passes along the surface of interventricular groove anteriorly toward the cardiac apex. • 46. Devil Facial Tumor Disease Analysis Devil Facial Tumor Disease (DFTD) can be recognized by lumps around the face and neck. (Evolution.berkeley.edu, 2008),which causes starvation in 12 18 months due to feeding difficulties and therefore death (Deakin and Belov, 2012) . This fatal disease affects only Tasmanian devils, marsupial carnivores of Tasmania. Scientists reported that devils may be responding to DFTD by breeding earlier before the disease kills them, which could help the species survive longer (Hamede, McCallum and Jones, 2012). DFTD spreads due to biting between animals during mating or feeding. The cancer cells themselves are the infective agent, as opposed to a transmissible virus that leads to Tumor formation. in the case of the devils (Pearse et al., 2012), the genes that could differentiate between own and foreign cells are so similar between the cancer and host, that the devil s immune system does not identify the cancer, ...
