Caribbean people view race differently than African Americans. Caribbean immigrants who arrive to
the United States are often shell shocked by the tangible presence of racism there. What is all the more
surprising is that some of these tensions are more so perpetuated by African Americans. Before an

Nationality, maybe; but not race. They never faced the outright hatred that African American or Blacks
in America face, which makes Islanders view themselves in a different way. It is most likely,
socioeconomic class separates that the Caribbean nation. On the other hand, African Americans have

Kate Chopin is an American author who composed The Story of an Hour in 1894. The story depicts a
period in time, specifically an hour, when Mrs Mallard experiences a plethora of emotions after
receiving the news of her husband s death. After having time to cope and reflect to herself while in her
room, ironically, Mrs Mallard was pleased with her husband s sudden departure. Furthermore, she
eventually died of heart disease after realizing her husband was in fact alive. Chopin s incorporation of

is easier and more affordable for an institution to only have one colour plates, then having special
plates for residents with vascular dementia could be a challenge. To overcome this, having the family

So much hard work and money has been lost just because America has refused to use the metric
system; why do we continue to make life so hard for ourselves and foreigners? Only three countries in
the world don t use the metric system: Burma, Liberia, and the United States. Since the Metric Act
was passed by the Senate in 1866, the U.S. has started using the metric system on things like food
labels and in the military. Yet, we continue to use the imperial system (or USCS) for body weight
scales, food recipes, and road signs, which makes it difficult for any foreigner traveling to the U.S., or
any American traveling anywhere else. Therefore, for the ease of Americans, for better interaction
with people from other countries, and for science, medicine, and international commerce, the United
