They appeal to the women, and actually addresses them as being the target audience. We begin the
commercial with the Mustafa directing his questions strictly towards the women. The women then
become the interconnected audience watching the commercial. Women are then more likely to
purchase the body wash or encourage their significant other in their life to purchase the product. As
the Old Spice Company successfully sells their product to the women, they are selling the product to
wives, sisters, aunts, and even grandmothers. Usually when some commercials are addressed towards
women, they typically do not grab the attention of men thus causing men to not buy the product.
However, not only does this body wash appeal to the women who want their significant other to be
like Mustafa but also towards the men who want to smell more masculine like Mustafa. The product is
still made for men, so men are still likely to be encouraged and influenced by the commercial to smell

Midterm The Problem Companies expect their employees to do good work efficiently. When issues
arise from within the work environment, it prevents productivity and work satisfaction amongst
employees. At the organization I am a part of it is considered a helping profession and people either do
work in the office or out in the field by providing services. However, when you need to get something
done, people do not seem to accomplish tasks at work because of the lack of support or the
distractions that occur. There are three main issues that occur in my job, surrounding the lack of
efficient communication, guidance and expectations of managers, and scheduling conflicts. Through

In the novel Robinson Crusoe, a young man desires to be independent and self reliant by going out to
sea without consent from his parents. Along the way, he has many challenges like being taken prisoner
in Sallee and having to escape an island. In today s society, many people have to become self reliant
when their parents no longer support them. They will go through many hardships like not having
enough money to buy food or pay rent, but they will have to be independent and find a way to make it
through.
The book Robinson Crusoe, written by Daniel Defoe demonstrates a young man and his desire of
being independent and self reliant. Crusoe s wants to remove himself from his shielded life that his
parents provide. Crusoe rebels against his parents and tries to discover his purpose in life and goes out
to sea. When he goes out to sea, he becomes self reliant and independent by learning how to fend for
himself. During his adventure, he becomes more mature and learns new lessons and tricks for living
on his own, for example how to trade slaves and goods. This theme relates to life. Many teens like to

Aligning these components will make the article cohesive in its content and guarantee that the author
is staying on track. I examined three scholarly articles that describe studies related to the field of
Respiratory Therapy. I reviewed each article to determine the topic, problem, purpose and question to
see if the authors were able to maintain alignment throughout the article.

Effect of a Protective Ventilation Strategy on Mortality in the Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
(Amato et al.,). The topic of the article is the use of protective lung strategies and the effects they have
on mortality rate for patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). The problem the
authors, and practitioners around the world, face is that traditional methods for mechanical ventilation
damage already diseased lungs which increases the mortality rate of patients with ARDS. The purpose
of this study is to define what lung protective strategies are comprised of and to determine if using

Baz Luhrmann portrays many symbols in the film, The Great to show the motivation and fate of Jay
Gatsby. The text itself is constructed using many symbols, which are incorporated to highlight

What can Historians learn from this document about how as married man saw his role as head of the
family in mid 17th century?
The nature of this document is taken from the notebooks of Nehemiah Wallington (1818 1654). An
extract of the passages of my life (Booy, D. (end) 2007), written in 1662. The extract is one of over
fifty journals written over a twenty years period, of which seven originals remain. The purpose of this
document is described in Grell (2016 p.81) as a means of private and later public record relating of
Wallington s reflections of his religious struggle for salvation as a sinner that believes he belongs to
the Elect , those predestined for salvation. This autobiographical work provided historians with
primary source of evidence of the thoughts and beliefs of a Puritan married man, and his religious
responsibilities and relationship with his household.
To contextualize the text, Wallington s religious beliefs were taken from Protestant Lutheran and
Calvinistic influences that evolved in England as the Puritan movement, which was a non conformist
religious sects that had moved away from the Church of England Anglican practices and rituals in

Michael H. Stone in The Anatomy of Evil states that there are several factors that influence a serial
killer s behavior. The factors that may influence behavior are presented in a nature versus nurture
model with occasional factors falling into a category of mixed and/or unknown origins (201). The
factors that Stone considers to pertain to an individual s natural environment include mental illness
that is coupled with psychosis, schizophrenia, manic depression, autism, and Aspergers Syndrome.

GI Bill: The Servicemen Readjustment Act of 1944
In World War I, the servicemen had postponed benefits that were promised to them. This caused
political turmoil and the response was the Servicemen Readjustment Act of 1944, which is also known
as the GI Bill. This bill provided a range of benefits for the returning World War II veterans. The GI
Bill made a step in the right direction to ensure rightful benefits to the veterans, but did have faults.
The American Legion played an important role in the enactment of the bill. The GI Bill did not
advocate discrimination, but had been interpreted differently for African Americans. The bill also did
not include Merchant Marines, which were carriers and ships that delivered war supplies to the
soldiers. Over the years, adjustments to the GI Bill were made.
The Servicemen Readjustment Act of 1944 was enacted after the soldiers of World War I had come
back from the war and had troubles making ends meet. The soldiers had help from government
benefits, but the benefits were not enough to help soldiers transitioning back to the work force.
Congress had stepped in and made the Act of 1924. This Act promised a bonus that was based on the
number of days that were served in the military. However, this bonus was not put into action until 20
years later, which was too late for struggling soldiers. A group of veterans called the Bonus Marchers
was composed up of 17,000 United States World War I veterans, veterans families, and other groups
that were affiliated with them. The Bonus Marchers marched to the Capitol in Washington, D.C. and
demanded the bonus that they were promised. The government did not convey and ended up sending
out U.S. troops against the WWI veterans under President Hoover s demands. This movement, putting
veterans against soldiers, was a turning point in veterans rights.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt was determined to right the wrong that was done to the veterans. On
June 22, 1944, the GI Bill was signed into law. February 17, 1944 marks the date that the American
Legion began their daily meetings on how to get the GI Bill of Rights passed. Other veteran affiliated
