When I first enrolled in this class, I had absolutely no idea or clue as to what Anthropology was. I had
this sense that I had at least heard of the word before, but later realized that it was only the clothing

According to Tony Kushner in his dramatic play, Angels of America, Kushner uses angels and religion
to help develop the characters afflicted by it as well carry them through the entire play and reach some
sort of enlightenment. Spirituality is a big thing within Angels in America, and Angels are one of

Introduction According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, binge drinking is
defined as the consumption of five or more drinks for males and four or more drinks for females
consecutively in the same day, within a two hour period. Problem drinking seems to be a phenomenon
highly present amongst the college age population. However, not a lot of focus has been given to the
negative impacts that come along with binge drinking on college grounds. Having encountered
multiple clients reporting problems with alcohol consumption while in college sparked an interest in

concern. It is no secret that binge drinking is present amongst college aged students. However, data

The idea of death is a bit taboo, however it is the unspoken reality of life. Naturally, there comes a
time when you will no longer be a part of the ever evolving world physically and it will be your time
to die. The question that has arisen is whether or not an individual s unbearable pain should constitute
them to request death. A person should not have to be hooked up to machines in order to be kept alive,
if that is not what they want; they should be able to choose death.

becomes terminally ill many options regarding their health is placed in the doctor s hands and the

Additionally, to be able to recognize the significance of raising awareness on water, for instance to be
aware of what helps maintain or improve the quality of water and what environmental and human
behaviors puts the quality of our water at risk for contamination. In view of the fact that we depend on
water for survival, water pollution is an environmental issue that shouldn t be looked over.

Hypotheses Experiment #1:
Oil hypothesis = the water would probably change consistency, probably thicken up and change color
Vinegar hypothesis = the water would probably stay the same color if the vinegar is white but there
will be a change in smell
Laundry detergent hypothesis = the water will change in consistency and would probably have
suds/bubbles, smell and color (if detergent is colored) would also be altered.
When I tried to filtrate the water to remove the contaminants, I am not completely successful because
the water is not 100% contaminant free since the water has a rancid smell.
If bottled water is supposed to be free of contaminants, then bottled water should contain significantly
less contaminants than tap water because that is why bottled water is sold to the public.

Cherie Cosmetics is a wholly owned subsidiary of the International Cherie Company of New York.
The company is directed by Ralph Nolk and has four distinctive product lines each headed by a

Heather King doesn t have any resources that the operations department needs, thus she doesn t have
any power to direct their actions.
Heather King is making demands to Dennis Green and Sandra Mirano, but she is not their superior
and they are not in the same department. Dennis Green and Sandra Mirano s manager is Bob Shaw.
An employee should only have one manager. Dennis Green s behavior of verbally attacking Heather
King is inappropriate and unprofessional given that Heather King has a higher rank, but his behavior
is understandable. He may have just been acting out of frustration from having to deal with different
managers. As the purchasing manager, he does have a need to feel in control of his responsibilities.
Heather King had reasons to bypass Dennis Green, but by doing so, she became a threat to his
territory. When people feel threatened, they can become hostile and angry.
III. Alternatives and Evaluation of Alternatives
Alternative 1:
Heather King can bring up the issue to Ralph Nolk. As the Managing Director superior to Bob Shaw,
Ralph Nolk has the formal power to influence the operations department to coordinate with Heather
King. Ralph Nolk has the resources that the operations department needs, thus he has power over their

actions.
Ralph Nolk may decide to use his formal power to motivate and provide the

marriage patterns among different Asian groups. Asian interethnic marriages occur within clusters of
East Asians and South/Southeast Asians with only Filipinos exhibiting about the same levels of

Boyd 2008). However, scholars have paid little to no attention on the effects of such interethnic
