The Evolution Of Hip Hop Culture
According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, language is the system of words or signs that people use
to express thoughts and feelings to each other . Therefore, language can be considered as a form of
human communication. As cultures and societies grow and evolve, language evolves with them too.
Annually, four thousand words are added to the Oxford English Dictionary . Many factors contribute
to the evolution of the English Language such as: technological advances, interaction and exposure to
other languages, and the always evolving contemporary American culture. The hip hop culture greatly
contributes to the semantic change of the English language. You could name practically any problem
in the hood and there d be a rap song for you. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Large corporations such as Sprite, Nike, Coca Cola, Reebok, and Burger King featured the hip hop
culture in their advertisements, which is a great way to promote for their products since this was
popular among the people. Also, these advertisements promoted the words that rappers use, so when
people watch the advertisements a lot they would start using such words too. Meanwhile, movies that
present the hip hop culture such as Wild Style, Style Wars, and Beat Street and Breakin exposed the
international audience to hip hop. Not only is the English language changing within the United States,
but it is also changing within foreign English speakers. For instance, in Egypt, many people use words
such as dude and man which originally came from the hip hop culture. Furthermore, there are many
rappers in Egypt that rap in English such as Arabian Knightz. In conclusion, the everyday evolving
American culture changes the English language and how words are used. The hip hop culture greatly
contributed to such evolution. Not only hip hop affect the American culture but also other
international cultures. After all, Hip hop gave a generation a common ground that didn t require either
race to lose anything; everyone gained. just as Jay Z

She went through the same things the narrator struggled with. Gilman suffered from postpartum
depression after having her first child. During this time period it was seen as women being invalid to
what they have to say. In 1888 Gilman and her husband separated which was a very rare thing to do
during that time period. After they divorced in 1894 Gilman and her daughter moved to California
where she started to become an active feminist. She is most famous for the story The Yellow
Wallpaper and her views are made very clear throughout the story. She wrote this story to show how
woman were treated in her society and to change their minds about it. Her main point of story was to
show how hard it was for women to be heard like they should be. The story is an important part of
history because it brought positiveness for women to be respected and it shows how far women s
rights have came since this story was

The Significance Of Nature In William Wordsworth By...
As time passes it is said that the human race becomes less aware of nature around them and more
consumed with the things produced by man. The romantic poet William Wordsworth saw the cultural
decline and as the literary critic Harold Bloom stated, The fear of mortality haunts much of
Wordsworth s best poetry, especially in regard to the premature mortality of the imagination and the
loss of creative joy. This statement greatly reflects the views of Wordsworth, whose poetry conveys
the warning of a man asking those enveloped in the world to step back and recognize the beauty and
miracles of nature. A few of the texts in which this warning of Wordsworth s is very potent include
Tinturn Abbey, The Prelude, The World Is Too Much With Us, and London, 1802. These works all
include a reference to the fall or the cultural decline of the people in the world, especially those he
sees around himself. The amazing gift of nature is the blessing Wordsworth sees and wishes for those
around him to recognize the issue is often the plain, everyday miracles of the world are overlooked
because of the material things human possess more and more of each day. The statement made by
Bloom is a very accurate one as Wordsworth does wish to push the world back into a respect for the
beauty and blessing of nature.
The application of Wordsworth s call back to nature is seen in his poem Tinturn Abbey, as he recalls
the happiness brought to him in his youth by the peace and beauty of the area.

Nutrient Density And Nutrient Nutrients
The nutrient density is how many of the nutrients that you get from food, due to the number of
calories they contain. Nutrient density is a simple way to link food with calories. 2 Why are nutrient

Comparing Logit And Probit Models Essay
In Logit and Probit models, a dependent variable takes only two values that represent the occurrence
of an event (yes or no) or a choice between two alternatives. In the current case, to model choice status
of each individual WTP for improved solid waste management respondents differed in age,
educational attainment, income, sex and other observable characteristics. These are denoted by S. In
the dichotomous choice method, individuals are assumed to have utility function, U, income (I), and a
set of conditioning factors (S): U(I; S)
Each respondent was confronted with a specified bid value, BID, which she or he may contribute
towards the management initiative. It is assumed that the individual would accept a suggested BID to
maximize his or her utility under the following condition and reject it otherwise (Hanemann, 1984):
U(1, I BID; S)+ ε1 ≥U(0, I; S) + ε0
In the current case, ε1 and ε0 are considered as independently distributed random variables with zero
means. Therefore, the probability that a household would decide to pay for the proposed improved
solid waste management for Delhi is the probability that the conditional indirect utility function for
proposed intervention is greater than the conditional indirect utility function for the status quo. The
dependent variable is dichotomous and equals 1, if the ith household is willing to pay a bid and 0,
otherwise. The general form of the estimation can be written as:

Contract Law Regarding Sales Transaction
In contract law concerning sales transaction, a Right to Cover is a remedy that is available to a buyer
under Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), which governs the sales of goods. The UCC
states a buyer may use a cover as a protection in an action of a breach in a sales contract. The buyer, in
good faith, would purchase substitute goods when the seller violated the contract and fail to deliver the
goods the buyer has asked for. The buyer can recover from the seller the difference of the cost of cover
and contract price with any additional incidental or consequential damages. In other words, after the
seller breaches the contract, the buyer is able to look for reasonable substitute goods. Then the buyer
would have the damages recover from the seller. For example Bob, the buyer owns a hair salon. Bob
orders 15 boxes of shampoos from John, the seller. John runs a hair supply store. Bob specifically
orders the Green Tea scented shampoos. In his order, Bob states that he must have the shampoos by
January 21. Bob pays the full contract price of $30 per box (a total of $450) to John. However on
January 21, John delivers 15 boxes of peppermint scented shampoos. The goods are nonconforming
because the shampoos are not what Bob has ordered. One option that Bob has is to cover or purchase
reasonable replacement goods. Bob then decides to contact another supplier; Susan to order the Green
Tea scented Shampoos and having it deliver on the same day. But Susan s hair supply

Similarities And Differences Between Rusingoryx And...
Q1 1 Briefly indicate what the article 1 is about:
In this article according to the scientist they have found many links between Rusingoryx and
hadrosaur dinosaurs. Palaeontologists have found skull of ancient wildebeest, hollow dome that makes
a crest on top of the animal s skull. Nasal dome is completely new structure for mammals.
Paleontologists say that a Pleistocene antelope with a bony nasal crest like that of some hadrosaur
species is a surprising example of what s called convergent evolution. (Strickland, Feb.4, 2016, para.
2). This convergent evolution can be explained by the similarities in the way Rusingoryx and
hadrosaurs lived. Such as Rusingoryx and hadrosaurs enjoyed very similar lifestyles: both grazed in

A subtle, but clear pattern emerged: Languages in hotter, more forested regions such as the tropics
tended to be sonorous, employing lower frequency sounds and using fewer distinct consonants,
whereas languages in colder, drier, more mountainous places were consonant heavy (Underwood,
Nov.4, 2015, para. 4).
They looked at the frequency of vowel and consonant and cross reference this against climate and
environmental condition.
Q2 1 Explain how the article 1 relates to anthropology:
The article compares and links the similarities between Rusingoryx and the hadrosaurs. Hadrosaurs
lived 65 million years ago and Rusingoryx lived 64.9 million years later. According to the scientist
this evolutionary convergence can be explain by the similarities between their lifestyle. Both
mammals are herbivorous.
The article refers to the concept of macro evolution that we learn in the lecture. Macro evolution
occurs over thousands and millions of years and refers to biological changes in the form of the
appearance of a new species (Cerri, 2016). It s basically introduction of a new species after long time
but it show some similarities with some other species. It s an evolution, which means continuous
change.
Researchers think that the animal s crest evolved from earlier relatives of Rusingoryx. The relative

Women s Suffrage By Elizabeth Cady Stanton
In the late 1800 s women were tired of being put on the back burner. Women were not able to vote,
work certain jobs and some were not able to get a basic education.
There were many political changes arising and women wanted to have a voice and take part of the
process. Women wanted to be considered equal with the same opportunities as men. In the 1840 s the
first women suffrage convention entitled Seneca Falls Convention took place some women thought
that their view were too extreme. .Many women such as Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony
and, Frances Willard created Women Suffrage groups. These women had different ideas of how they
should go about becoming equal but all wanted the same outcome. Elizabeth Cady Stanton led the ...

allowed to vote in elections was impossible to some. At the convention, debate over the woman s vote
was the main concern. Even though there is still a long way to go we have come

Richard Adams Watership Down Analysis
The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only object of good
government Thomas Jefferson. In Richard Adams Watership Down, the rabbits in the story all live in
groups on separate areas of land. These areas are called warrens, and there are three main warrens that
will be discussed in this essay. Each of the three warrens have a different type of governments being
run inside of them. The Sandleford Warren, the Efrafa Warren and the Watership Down Warren are all
ran differently. Each warren has modern world equivalences relating to their governments. In the
following paragraphs you will be able to see which modern world government matches up, and is
present in each of the three warrens in Watership Down.
The first warren is the Sandleford Warren, this warren is a communistic government. It is a communist
government because all rabbits live under the order of the chief rabbit Threarah.. All the rabbits know
to respect the chief rabbit especially if you are in a lower class like the rabbit Hazel. I m awfully sorry,
Chief Rabbit Hazel pg12. The chief rabbit and his communist government want to control all the
social classes and money in the area he controls. There are three social classes in the Sandleford
Warren, the Chief Rabbit, the Owsla and the Outskirters. Outskirters that is, the rank and file of
ordinary rabbits in their first year pg4. All these social classes are controlled by the Chief Rabbit. Mao
Zedong started a communist government in China in 1927 and just as Chief Rabbit controlled the
social classes of his warren, Mao Zedong controlled the social classes of the country of China. In a
real life communist government the leader of the government will control the country s money. In the
warrens the rabbit do not have money but the one controllable factor is food. The caste system ran by
the chief rabbit lets you know what you eat and when, determined by class. Cowslips are for the
Owsla* don t you know that? Toadflax pg5. Cowslips are a food for upper class as Toadflax tells an
outskirter. Through class system, control of goods and one single leader you are able to see how the
Sandleford Warren is a communist government. Efrafa is the second Warren and

We use Fujita Pearson to measure the strength or force of a tornado. There are 6 F scale numbers. F6
is the highest category with wind speed 319 379 mph. Next, F5 is incredible tornado with wind speed

The term comes from the Spanish word tornado . It is the past participle of the Spanish verb tornar,
which means to turn. It also stems from the word tornada, meaning thunderstorm.

The Battle of Gibeah and Micah s Idol
The story starts in chapter 17 when a man named Micah steals a very large amount of silver from his
mother. The exact amount that he takes is 1100 pieces of silver. An average yearly salary in Micah s
day was ten pieces of silver which can be found in verse 10, so he stole a small fortune. Micah s mom
gets very upset, as is her right, and she pronounces a curse on the person that had stolen the silver.
When Micah learns of his mother s curse, he gets worried and returns the silver. The Old Testament
law required Micah to add 1/5 (Exodus 22) to what he had stolen, 220 pieces of silver, but he does not
do this. It is not a reverential fear of the Lord that makes Micah feel the need to confess his crime and
return the money; it is his fear of his mother s curse. Micah does not feel guilty because of his sin but
he is merely trying to save himself from a curse. Micah mother also sins. When Micah returns the
silver, she doesn t curse but she blesses him. Her values, like Micah s, are not in line with God s. She
blesses him and the hires a silversmith to make her son idols, a clear sin against God, and he keeps
them. The mother doesn t condemn her son because she is as much of a thief as he is. In 17:3 she says,
I wholly dedicate the silver from my hand to the Lord for my son to make a graven image and a
molten image; now therefore, I will return them to you. however, in the very next verse she only gives
200 pieces of the silver. So, she kept 900 pieces of the silver that

The Rangers will need strong performances night in and night out in order to make the playoffs. Every
game is incredibly critical, and the difference between winning the AL West and gaining a Wild Card
spot is huge. If the Rangers win the West, then they will be guaranteed a spot in the ALDS where they

Cold: Delino DeShields
I m a huge DeShields fan, what he has brought to the table has been absolutely huge for the Rangers.
His ability to swipe bags and be a threat on the base paths is something this lineup needed, and he has
certainly brought it. That being said, DeShields has struggled over the course of the past week.
DeShields is hitting a putrid .154 (2 for 13) with a double and two runs scored. His six strikeouts in
the past five games is also a cause for concern, especially when you consider the speed he possesses.
That speed being said, it is also a little alarming that he hasn t had a stolen base over the past ten
games. But not all hope is lost for DeShields, as he has an OBP of .353 over the past week. So while
he is still getting on base, you would love to see him generating a few more chances.

Political Change In Syria
In 2011, a few years prior to the bombing of the Temple of Baalshamin, Syria officially became a
country plagued by continuous conflict. A civil uprising began against the government of the country
and started what is now known as the Syrian Civil War. Mass numbers of Syrian individuals were
displeased with what they felt was a corrupt political regime ruling their country and sought to create a
better way of life through their pro democracy protest. Unfortunately, as the government fought back
and Syrian citizens continued to protest, shots were fired and the country collectively spiraled out of

Without knowing this, conflict and destruction will continue to occur in Syria, and for that matter the
rest of the world.
What then is currently being done to stop such atrocities from occurring? Specifically in the case of
the Temple of Baalshamin, many if not all of the preventative and preservation systems set in place to
save remnants of human history only look at solving the problem at a surface level. For example, the
Million Image Database Project and the New Palmyra Project both focus on preserving the Temple of
Baalshamin through the collection of pictures and using digital computer renderings, in hopes that one
day this site and potentially other sites could be rebuilt or forever preserved through the internet.
While important as a step towards reducing loss, neither of these specific preservation examples seek
to prevent such destruction from occurring in the first place. Be that as it may, even if there were a
hundred systems in place that specifically attempt to prevent such instances of destruction from
happening, it is highly likely they would focus only on alleviating issues that are at the surface layer of
the underlying issues in a society, such as relieving hunger, poverty, and other forms of human
distress. In order to truly prevent violent, heinous, and hateful acts of destruction from happening, one
must look at preventing the issue by resolving

The Constrained Court Model Created By Gerald N. Rosenberg
The Constrained Court model created by Gerald N. Rosenberg, proves that the courts are weak,
powerless, and ineffective for change among race, class and gender ideologies.. Using Lisa Frohmann
s article, Convictability and Discordant Locales; in which she is reproducing race, class and gender
ideologies in Prosecutorial Decision making . Frohmann uses discordant locales as a bridge to
describe how prosecutors work in sexual assault cases. Rosenberg and Frohmann demonstrate that the
courts are not effective unless they overcome these constraints, set in the constrained court model.
According to Rosenberg and Frohmann social reform is nearly unachievable, through the district
attorney and victim cross examination interview and jury assumptions. As Rosenberg specified in
order to establish social reforms the following constraints; limited nature of constitutional rights lack
of judicial independence, judiciary s lack of power implantation and inability to develop appropriate
policies need to be eradicated.
The Dynamic Court view s claim that a major contribution of the courts in civil rights was to give the
issue clarity, press political elites to act, poke the consciences of whites, legitimate the grievances of
blacks, and fire blacks up to act is not demonstrated. In all the places examined, where evidence
supportive of the claim should exist, it does not. The concerns of clear acknowledgement, time, and
increased press coverage all cut against the theory.

Article 567 Of The 2009 Burundian Penal Code
Article 567 of the 2009 Burundian penal code punishes same sex relations with three months to two
years imprisonment and harsh fines. The National Assembly of Burundi passed Article 567 on 21
November 2008. Although shortly rejected by the state senate, Article 567 became law when President
Pierre Nkurunziza overruled the senate s decision and signed the bill into law on 22 April 2009. The
law criminalizing homosexual acts was controversial; especially, because Burundi did not have a
specific history of homosexual discrimination, however, the implementation of the new law was
reported to have been followed by a rise in anti gay sentiment. This is especially surprising, because
unlike other countries in the region Burundi did not have a colonial past of sexual discrimination. This
is not to say that before Article 567, the Burundian homosexual community did not face significant
barriers in access to care and prevention. However, the new law has amplified the challenges of
preventing HIV/AIDS within this community, which in turn negatively affects the overall efforts for
global eradication of HIV. Reports of AIDS in Burundi first surfaced in 1983. At the time, same sex
behavior was not considered a criminal act. In fact, Burundi does not always have a history of
homophobia especially compared to the discrimination faced in its neighboring countries. Today in
Burundi, HIV is one of the major causes of fatality. In 2015, about 85 000 people were living in
Burundi with HIV.

situation as we attempt to buy our first house. We are pulling up stakes and settling in one of the outer

possible that our means of communication are primitive in comparison, and that our logic may be
vastly different than theirs. For example, if you were to send morse code in the hopes of someone
responding, it s mostly that no one is going to respond, let alone even notice it. Secondly, we may
have not been looking in the right places either. A prime reason for this is that we really don t know
where to look in the first place. We have ideas, but nothing concrete whatsoever. Another reason may
just be that we haven t had enough time yet, as we can only send messages so quickly, in so many
different directions to cover a possible infinite space across the

Comparing Bugs Dimed And Rabbit Plays Tug-Of-War
The episode of Bugs Bunny watched for this assignment featured Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam. The
video starts out with Yosemite Sam pointing a gun at Bugs Bunny. Bugs, immediately challenges him
by turning his gun and saying You can t talk to me like that, those are fighting words! Bugs then
provokes Sam by drawing lines in the sand and daring Sam to step over the lines, which he does, and
inevitably leads to him to falling off a cliff. A chase ensues, with bugs in the lead, using several forms
of trickery to stay one step ahead of his opponent. Eventually, Bugs convinces Sam that the best way
to handle the dispute is with a game of gin rummy, with the loser having to leave town. Of course
Bugs wins the game but after packing all of Sam s belongings and pushing Sam on the train, he
realizes that the train is full of beautiful woman and decides he will be the one leaving town. There are
several different influences that can be noted when comparing Bugs Bunny to Native American lore.
First, in the stories The Trickster Tricked and Rabbit Plays Tug of War it shows the repeated use of the
rabbits as one of the leading characters. In both stories and Bugs Bunny, the rabbit is portrayed as

Hannibal Steakhouse Analysis
Bordeaux is an elegant restaurant in Brooklyn. They opened only a few years ago, yet already business

food, wonderful service and a party section. Bordeaux has inexpensive food for a steakhouse at
approximately thirty sixty dollars a person, especially since their food continues to be exceptional, it
could go for a higher price. I ordered a medium rare ten ounce prime chateau cut. I enjoyed it

Summary Of Our Secret By Susan Griffin
Dangerous Secrets Exposed in Griffin s Our Secret
Secrets are apart of every human being. Even children, in their earliest years in this world, learn how
to bury secrets in their hearts. In Susan Griffin s Our Secret, she explores the subconscious, aiming
particularly at the dark secrets that lie in the abyss of the human heart. Griffin claims that the darkest
secrets of each person are similar in the sense that these secrets are perverted and prejudiced thoughts.
These concealed evils are so deeply imbedded that people forget or choose to forget the existence of
these malicious thoughts. However, these are often the thoughts that will encourage a person to take to
violence. Griffin believes that people share similar forms of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

They both demonstrate sadistic sexual preferences that they keep in secret. These are two very
different men, one being a retired grandfather and the other the commandant of a concentration camp.
However, their secrets show that they are not so different once their secret desires are compared.
Looking at these two men reveals that similar desires can be found in the deepest and the darkest
corners of their hearts, despite the differences among each individual. Everyone is capable of having
secrets locked inside themselves, whether these secrets are obscene or just realities that people do not
wish to face.
People bury different aspects of themselves because they are ashamed of these characteristics. These
buried secrets become what people despise in themselves and others since no one likes to face what he
tries so hard to put behind. Heinrich Himmler, the person responsible for the German concentration
camps, is a perfect example of a man who tries to forget a part of himself. Being stricken by influenza
as a child, Himmler never had the robust physic that he admired in his brother Gebhard (329).
Himmler believes that a man should be strong and that a woman should be weak; the twilight area

Juicing Health Benefits
From Hollywood divas to health gurus and nutritionists, everyone is talking about the health benefits
of juicing. Drinking fresh fruit and vegetable juices can improve your health and well being,
strengthen your immune system, and cleanse your body from the inside out. Science seems to support
these claims, so make sure you include juices in your diet.
How Does Juicing Work?
Juice cleanses are becoming more and more popular. Some people use them for detox. Others replace
one or more meals with fresh juices to shed fat or maintain their weight. A typical juice cleanse
involves drinking at least 16 ounces of juice every few hours, plus a lot of water, for three days or

The Greek s Victory Over Persia
The Greek s victory over Persia marked the beginning of not only an era, but of cultural expansion
that continues to impact our modern day society. The accomplishments and endeavors of the Ancient
Greeks, both visible, such as arts and architecture, as well as intellectually in areas such as philosophy,
science and government continue to influence the world today. Many or none of these influential
elements of Ancient Greece would have come to fruition in such a.... way if the Greeks had not
defeated the Persians. The freedom to think and expand provided the basis to thrive locally and
globally. It was a turning point in the fate of Europe and subsequently the rest of the world which was
built on European principles.
The Greeks were masters at art especially in sculpture. Their handling of human anatomy and fine
details in the hair and clothing were impressive. They were able to capture a wide range of human
emotions, moods and depicting motion. Their sculptures inspired the Romans and the great sculptures
of the Renaissance. The most visible impact on the world is in the area of Architecture where the
Greeks were able to design and build monumental and beautiful structures. They achieved the method
of visual symmetry in a column by making the column bulge in just the right way. Their theaters were
designed to use the natural surroundings and shape to enhance the acoustical properties. Without the

Does Clifford Offer a Convincing View of Religious Faith
Does Clifford offer a convincing view of religious faith?
In his article The Ethics of Belief (Clifford, 1877) W.K. Clifford sought to argue that it is wrong
always, everywhere, and for anyone, to believe anything upon insufficient evidence (as cited on p190).
The aim of this essay is to establish whether indeed this view offered by Clifford, when considering
religious faith, is convincing. In order to do this I will consider the arguments that Clifford put
forward, including that which to believe anything based upon insufficient evidence always does harm
and so is wrong. Such a statement is in direct opposition to those religious believers who regard their

If we consider perhaps the many people who may have suffered misfortune in life and who take the
opportunity of the turn of the New Year to state their belief that this year will be different, good things
are to come their way and fortunes will change. I don t agree that these individuals can be labeled
immoral in holding these beliefs. There may be no evidence sufficient or otherwise to support this
belief but it could be argued that without the positive and maybe unrealistic expectation of a change in
fortunes then none would come. Similarly the talented actor may believe they will be successful in

that this, irrelevant of the talent and ability, is highly unlikely and there would be no evidence to

Durante treinta años su objetivo fue documentar todo lo que de pintoresco o artístico tenían París y sus

that these men are not the usual law enforcers in this area. They may have been called in to support the

The mailbox has graffiti on it that reads Fuck The Police, which exemplifies the growing tension

sides. While the background has police moving in and passing right past the anti police graffiti, paying

Differences Between Seals And Walruses
In contrast to whales, seals and walruses have remained heavily furred marine mammals. There are
several differences that make the retention of fur an adaptive trait in seals and walruses. These
advantages can be divided into three categories; life aspects, evolutionary descent, diving differences.
The first among these are their life aspects. Seals and walruses spend much of their time in the water
foraging however; land is required for the birthing and rearing of their young. In addition to this seals
are one of the few species in which the female receives no help in raising their young. The female is
the sole provider of food for herself and the infant meaning she must leave the infant alone on the
surface while she hunts. Young seals remain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Whales are descended from large hoofed predators called mesonychids in the Pakistan area. While
seals and walruses descended from a bear like ancestor, the ursoids. (Rybczynski, Dawson, and
Tedford 2009) In addition the carnivores and ungulates had long since separated before the convergent
evolution that lead to whales, seals and walruses to move back to the ocean. (Prothero 2014) The
predatory nature of carnivore that leads them to hunt their prey may also play a part in differentiating
these mammals. They hunt animals that may live in the sea or on land such as the penguin and must be
adapted as such to follow their prey from sea to land in order to catch it. During the evolution of these
animals hair was lost in the whales but retained in the seals and walruses another reason this may have
happened is because some seals and walruses eat the mussels, clams and other bivalves that live on the
ocean floor. Hair in the form of whiskers or vibrissae that is present in seals and walruses serves a
mechanoreception role. They assist in finding food such as mussels and clams on the ocean floor.
These vibrissae have a sensitive innervated sinus area that allows the vibrissae to be used as a sensory
organ rather than for thermoregulation as the rest of the body fur is used. It may be that the body fur
remains because of these vibrissae. If the seals and walruses were to begin losing the fur on their body
as insulation and to spend more time in the sea than they could also risk losing the vibrissae that
assists them in finding food below the ocean surface since it too is a type of hair. (Maderson

knowledge necessary to handle future projects that I might encounter in the course of my studies.
What I have learnt since the first case study and how I would have improved the learning experience?
From the first case study, I have learnt various elements of the external and internal business

environment scanning in the day to day entity operation. What stands out in as far as the internal
environment is concerned is the role that adding value plays in the modern business. What I would
have done differently during the process is an analysis of more organizations and industries.
Conclusion drawn from a wider scope of information sources is more reliable. Therefore, an
improvement to the earning experience would significantly involve increasing the number of
organizations and industries covered. Other learning would involve direct interaction with experts in
the field of external environment scanning and adding value. This will avail a more practical overview
of the two.

The Passions Of The Man
The Passions of the Man We exist in an artificial world created from our passions. Uncontrollable as
they may seem, our natural inclinations and mental faculties have actually effected immense social
change on both a physical and mental level. As oxymoronic as it may seem, it is ultimately our innate
passions that both drive conflict and allow for cooperative endeavor, and Thomas Hobbes s masterful
17th century work Leviathan captures this point beautifully. His passions are a kind of internal motion
related to one s will and encompass character traits, moods, or ephemeral states of being such as
sudden glory causing laughter. Hobbes uses the idea of passions as a motivating source to flush out a

Unfortunately, we live in the natural world. Far from perfect. Our passions do not even come close to
fitting us in the perfect world. In fact, they prevent its existence. The nature of man then is one of
passions and thusly, one of war. According to Hobbes, the nature of war consisteth not in actual
fighting, but in the known disposition thereto during all the time there is no assurance to the contrary.
(13) War is not a state of fighting, it is a state of being; specifically a state of being in which safety and
protection of one s life or happiness are close to non existent. Coupled with the very real ideas of
exhaustible resources and the will to survive, this war or natural world is then populated by beasts
unreasoned beings dominated by their psyches and unable to coexist in a society. Hobbes concluded
that in the nature of man, we find three principal causes of quarrel. First, competition; secondly,
diffidence; thirdly, glory. () These three passions are at once dangerous to the natural world, but
necessary for the artificial world to exist. The competition to which Hobbes speaks is a competition
for power. In his observations, it is the powerful that are happy and can assure their continued felicity.
Thus, competition begets violence. Diffidence implies the defense of oneself and your well being in
fear of it being stripped of you. Diffidence seems to beget violence as well. And glory begets the most
violence. The thirst for power becomes too

the 6 June 1967 decree, which had established Israeli military rule in Gaza. And so it was that Israel
publicly displayed to the world that its most recent 38 year presence in Gaza had come to an end.
The U.S. President at the time, George W Bush, complimented the plan as a positive step towards the
road map for peace. At a joint press conference with Ariel Sharon on April 11, 2005 he told the media,
I strongly support [Prime Minister Sharon s] courageous initiative to disengage from Gaza and part of
the West Bank. The Prime Minister is willing to coordinate the implementation of the disengagement
plan with the Palestinians. I urge the Palestinian leadership to accept his offer. By working together,
Israelis and Palestinians can lay the groundwork for a peaceful

Analysis of Why are All the Black Kids Sitting Together...
Analysis of Why are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria by Beverly Daniel Tatum
Why are all the black kids sitting together in the cafeteria ; by Beverly Daniel Tatum Ph.D. is a book
of many subjects, theories, ideas, as well as opinions that are discussed, challenged and criticized. Are
we free from racism? Why, are all the black kids sitting together in the cafeteria? These questions I
hope to answer for myself and for others.
One of Beverly Tatum s major topics of discussion is racial identity. Racial identity is the meaning
each of us has constructed or is constructing about what it means to be a white person or a person of
color in a race conscious society. (Tatum, pp Xvii) She talks about how many parents ... Show more

They are all examples of groups who are seen as more dominant or of a more advantaged social group
not mentioning so. They don t seem to think that they belong to a more dominant or advantaged group
than the others so why mention it.
She goes on about Affirmative action in the workplace and the views and opinions of all different
kinds of people. Tatum believes in Affirmative action because of the many encounters and experiences
she had witness and encountered. She goes on to say, Affirmative action is needed to lessen bias in the
paid labor force because affirmative action is the only legal remedy in the United States for
discrimination that does not require the victims (or someone with a stake in their welfare) to notice
their condition and come forward with a grievance on their own behalf. ; (Tatum pp 123) In my
opinion Affirmative action is a touchy subject, just like abortion. There are places where it should
belong and places it shouldn t. I think it should be implemented in places of business where needed.
For example if two candidates for a position are interviewed for a job and one happens to be white and
the other black, and the black candidate is obviously more qualified for the job but doesn t get the job
then that is a place where Affirmative action needs to b added to the system. It is sad that something
like Affirmative action even had to be thought of but it is a reality that racism still exists and probably
will continue to

Blanche Dubois Victim
In the play A Streetcar Named Desire the character of Blanche DuBois is very complex and has many
different aspects of it. Blanche DuBois a serious alcoholic has had a very simple life as she has never
had to work or have any struggles of life thrown at her till she grows up and loses her family estate
and also has her husband kill himself. In the story, she starts off with snarky comments to her sister
and her feeling like she is all that. Throughout the story her life turns sideways as she meets a man she
actually likes and not one who she just wants to sleep with. Blanche can be looked at as a victim of the
story from many sides but can also be seen as a victimizer in some aspects. In the story Blanche is
easily a victim to all the cruel acts society has done to her. In the story she faces hardships of her life
early on when her husband kills himself after she calls him disgusting . She was never able to get over
it and she said herself she always depended on the kindness of strangers for the rest of her life
onwards. She even has a relationship with one of her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the beginning Stanley makes himself a little too comfortable with her by changing in front of

back Stanley and feeding toward his attraction for her. But that doesn t matter to Stanley at all. He still
goes through her things and throws accusations at her about the estate and how she she most likely
used it for profit to fuel her lifestyle of upscale living. In this sense the audience feels bad for Blanche
because they see how badly Stanley is treating Blanche after not knowing her for very long. He even

The Rise Of Guerrilla Marketing And Effect On Small Business
The Rise of Guerrilla Marketing and the
Effect on Small Business
Anthony Campbell
Alabama State University
Abstract
Distinguished by an aggressive and non traditional approach to promotion, guerrilla marketing shares
the same goals as traditional advertising product or brand awareness growth but does so in uniquely
personal ways. Small businesses in particular stand to benefit from the opportunity to communicate
with consumers using a diverse set of methods and practices while working within a more restricted
budget. While often hard to directly quantify, guerrilla marketing has a myriad of benefits compared to
more traditional vehicles, particularly as it evolves to encompass online and social trends. The

Jay Conrad Levinson (2007) was the first to directly apply these concepts to the business world with a
method of promotion he publicized in 1984 as guerrilla marketing. Strategists Ries and Trout (1986)
quickly followed with their push to embrace analogies between the marketing and military world, and
subsequently the marketing warfare strategies movement was born.
Bach (2007) described the guerrilla marketing warfare strategy as potentially a major advantage small
companies have over their larger marketplace competition, with the ability to rapidly disseminate low
cost attacks by honing in on particular market niches and reaching them in previously unheard of
ways. He went on to describe unorthodox communication methods that relied on speed and flexibility
not afforded to more established, traditional forms of advertising (Bach, 2007). Prevot (2009)
explained that the reliance on new approaches, such as the element of surprise within consumer s
lives, can be a more successful way of connecting with potential patrons and making an indelible
impression. As companies, particularly small entities, look for ways to position themselves against the
constant tide of print, television and radio ads, the unique and low cost tactics of guerrilla marketing
stand as a way to differentiate themselves and expand their market share in the mind of engaged
consumers.

Examples Of Irony In Lamb To The Slaughter
In Lamb to the Slaughter the author, Roald Dahl writes about a young, pregnant woman named Mary
Maloney waiting for the return of her husband. When Mr. Maloney arrives, he disrupts the usual
domestic routine the couple had put in place by claiming he wants a divorce. Overcome with emotions
Mary takes the audience by surprise. She kills her husband. While this may seem like a horror or
tragic story. However, the irony of it all causes the audience to view it instead, as a dark humored
comedy. The title itself is ironic thought the reader doesn t realize it until the end if the story. Lambs
are often seen as a symbol for purity or innocence. The title Lamb to the Slaughter would be the same
as saying killing innocence or the death of purity. The irony of the title itself is that a symbol of
innocence is used as a murder weapon.
The irony in the story doesn t really start until the end of the second page when Mary kills her
husband and then in the most calm manner says, All right... so I ve killed him (Dahl 3). Everything the
reader has seen up to this point about Mary s character is that she is docile, little housewife that will
do anything to make her husband happy. She eagerly awaits her husband s return from work and does
everything she can to make him comfortable rushing to pour him a drink or offering to get his slippers.
Taking a piece of meat and using it to crush one s husband s skull is the exact opposite of these traits
that have been seen previously in Mary. Add

Reaction Paper On Perfume
Perfume is mixture of fragrant aroma compounds or essential oils, the first evidence of the use of
perfume by mankind dates back to the very old Egyptian civilizations around 2400 BC1. Throughout
the ages, fragrances have become gradually more essential and accessible. Nowadays, the perfume
business is a billion dollar industry 2. The companies also synthesize and trade the individual raw
materials used in perfumes, the perfume stocks are relatively unknown companies that create and
supply perfumes according to the wishes of their customers. The perfume raw materials are generally
complex mixtures of synthetic or natural (e.g. essential oils) organic compounds, the fortitude of the
composition of an unknown perfume, the so called perfume formulation process, is not an easy task.
Apart from the olfactive expertise of the perfumers, it also wants advanced analytical tools. Because
most perfume components are a polar and semi volatile in nature, for decade s olfactometry,
Headspace techniques, GC and GC MS, flame ionization detection have been, commonly used in
analytical techniques of perfume industry. Perfume stability studies, perfume formulation ... Show

It measures a gaseous mixture in Odor Units (OU). Unlike chemical analysis, olfactometry does not
identify a chemical structure or a group of substances. Taking into account the definition of odor
threshold, 1 OU is the smallest amount (number of molecules) of an odorant capable of generating an
odor sensation by an individual when dispersed in 1 m3 of neutral air. Hence, 1 OU/m3 is the bench
mark of the odorant concentration scale3. In this way, the odor intensity can be estimated, the odor
concentration in terms of OU/m3 of a mixture is not the algebraic sum of OUs for the individual
components, but results from the combination of complex phenomena and mutual

Changes And Development Of The Aging Process
Epigenetic changes are currently recognized as part of the aging process and have been implicated in
many age related chronic diseases such as AD (1 3). The term epigenetics includes a variety of
processes known to regulate gene expression in a stable and potentially reversible way, without
altering the primary DNA sequence (4). Since epigenetics allow for the integration of long lasting non
genetic inputs in the genome, research on age related disorders have recently focused in epigenetic
mechanisms, and a growing number of epigenetic alterations in AD have been described recently (5).
The best characterized epigenetic mechanisms include DNA methylation, histone posttranslational
modifications, and non coding RNAs such as microRNAs (miRNAs). It is becoming increasingly
evident the interplay between these mechanisms to establish the epigenetic states and expression
patterns of many mammalian genes (1 3). For instance, it has been described that trimethylation of
histone 3 at lysine 9 (H3K9me3) by the histone methyl transferase SUV39H1 is required for recruiting
the DNA methyl transferase DNMT3b to pericentromeric repeats in order to allow heterochromatin
structure (both H3 K9 methylation and DNA methylation are considered hallmarks of mammalian
heterochromatin) (4). In turn, miRNAs can also control other epigenetic mechanisms; for example,
miR 204 can target histone deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) (5), while miR 148 and miR 152 are reported to
influence DNA methylation

Examples Of Class Structure In Sons And Lovers
D.H Lawrence s Sons and Lovers takes us back to the heart of industrialization the age where people
were more concerned with money, power and class. In the first chapter the use of THE BOTTOMS ,
Hell Row and Bestwood signifies different areas where people belonging to different ranks lived. We
come to know that Mrs. Morel is being forced to move into a new residence at The Bottoms and for
her this is a great loss. Bestwood might not have been a great place for her but at least it was a better
place than The Bottom which was now on the edge of its destruction. Mr. Morel and Mrs. Morel are
the perfect example of the tragedy that the class system brings. The first chapter gives us an insight
into Mrs. Morel s class we discover that Mrs. Morel came of a good old burgher family (Lawrence 33)
thus pointing out that Mrs. Morel s ideal s and manners were completely different from those of Mr.
Morel. We also get to know that the thing which pleases Mr. Morel most about Mrs. Morel was When
she spoke to him, it was with a southern pronunciation and a purity of English which thrilled him to
hear (Lawrence 36). The word purity holds great significance ... Show more content on

The class difference ends up ruining Mr. and Mrs. Morel s marriage. William ends up getting engaged
to a girl he can t really tolerate and he does not want to call of the engagement because he feels it is

ugly human. He has to work in unsanitary conditions and he often becomes a victim of accidents.
Even Paul ends up becoming pale and weak after a while because he has to work in the factory.
Lawrence through this novel tells us how dangerous industrialization can be and what kind of harmful
effects it can have since Lawrence himself worked in a factory therefore through Paul he might be

Computer And The Four Components Of Modern Computers
1) What made modern computers possible Is The invention that could do calculations and other
information with no moving parts. Which was electronic components. Electronic components a fast
efficient machine such as Babbage (who designed the mechanical calculating machines that are the
ancestor of computers today) proposed could be built with all four components essential to modern
computing.
2) What are four components essential to modern computing Input, Storage, Processor, Output A
toaster is a way to show the four parts of a computer. Input just as a computer the raw data which will
be as bread for a toaster goes in. Storage The information gets stored just as you are turning the dial
for the toaster Processor It will then be processed just as the bread toast Output will be the final result
(the bread being toasted) The difference between them however is a computer work with software that
makes it figure out what to do with the input you give. Software gives the computer the ability to
process many different things, while a toaster can just process bread. Another difference is the fact a
computer has a microprocessor. Which is used for used to read different tasks.
3) How do computers receive input There was a time where computers received input by flipping
switches, and plugging wire, and put holes in cards to input It data.

The Impact Of Hate Crimes In America
Over the years, America has been prone to this violent act of hate crime that puts its citizens in a
situation of distressed and confusion. Hate crimes have been a part of America s history and culture
for decades. Because America is a diverse country, the level of hate crimes is outrageous in many
different levels due to different cultures, ethnicities, skin colors, and religions. Hate crime is a serious
act and has influenced our society today to look at certain people a different way. It is not an act that
people are born with rather than they are taught by it or it was inherited within a particular social
group. With the election of President Trump in 2016, hate crime activities have really increased in just
a year s matter. President Donald Trump plays a role in really highlighting these hate crimes and
almost making it seem like he is promoting hate crimes though many of his speeches and statements.
Of the many factors that contribute to the highly increasing hate crime activities, there are four factors
that I believe are contributing to the increasing hate crime activities. Those four factors are thrill
seeking, retaliation, mission offenders, and the income inequality. These factors all have a part into
why hate crime activities are increasing over the year. There are many different hate crimes in
America. Hate crimes are considered as criminal offenses and depending on which state this criminal
offense has been committed, they have their own laws to rule over it. According to Jack Leven and
Jack McDevitt, in their article Hate Crimes, they explained, ..the vast majority of hate crime laws do
not criminalize any new behavior; instead, they increase the penalty for behaviors that are already
against the law (Leven McDevitt, 2011). This is something that has been reviewed and updated over
the years. As many new behaviors to hate crime activity surface, those crimes will eventually fall
under some old laws but the penalty of it will eventually increase. This hate crime activity includes
any acts that involve with any negative attitudes or prejudice toward anyone because of their race,
religion, ethnicity, or gender. It often leads to people being bias and showing a tremendous amount of
hatred

Likert’S 4 System Approach Was Published In 1961, And Likert
Likert s 4 System Approach was published in 1961, and Likert argues for what he considers is a
generalized theory of organization (Mumby 100). Likert sums it up that all organizations can be
summarized into one of four systems. Each of these systems reflect a certain leadership style reflected
in an organization and they also consist of 7 dimensions. The seven dimensions are as follows;
employee motivation, the characterization of the communication process, the interaction influence
process, decision making process, the type of goal setting, the control processes and its performance
characteristics.

  • 4. The Significance Of Nature In William Wordsworth By... As time passes it is said that the human race becomes less aware of nature around them and more consumed with the things produced by man. The romantic poet William Wordsworth saw the cultural decline and as the literary critic Harold Bloom stated, The fear of mortality haunts much of Wordsworth s best poetry, especially in regard to the premature mortality of the imagination and the loss of creative joy. This statement greatly reflects the views of Wordsworth, whose poetry conveys the warning of a man asking those enveloped in the world to step back and recognize the beauty and miracles of nature. A few of the texts in which this warning of Wordsworth s is very potent include Tinturn Abbey, The Prelude, The World Is Too Much With Us, and London, 1802. These works all include a reference to the fall or the cultural decline of the people in the world, especially those he sees around himself. The amazing gift of nature is the blessing Wordsworth sees and wishes for those around him to recognize the issue is often the plain, everyday miracles of the world are overlooked because of the material things human possess more and more of each day. The statement made by Bloom is a very accurate one as Wordsworth does wish to push the world back into a respect for the beauty and blessing of nature. The application of Wordsworth s call back to nature is seen in his poem Tinturn Abbey, as he recalls the happiness brought to him in his youth by the peace and beauty of the area. ... Comparing Logit And Probit Models Essay In Logit and Probit models, a dependent variable takes only two values that represent the occurrence of an event (yes or no) or a choice between two alternatives. In the current case, to model choice status of each individual WTP for improved solid waste management respondents differed in age, educational attainment, income, sex and other observable characteristics. These are denoted by S. In the dichotomous choice method, individuals are assumed to have utility function, U, income (I), and a set of conditioning factors (S): U(I; S) Each respondent was confronted with a specified bid value, BID, which she or he may contribute towards the management initiative. It is assumed that the individual would accept a suggested BID to maximize his or her utility under the following condition and reject it otherwise (Hanemann, 1984): U(1, I BID; S)+ ε1 ≥U(0, I; S) + ε0 In the current case, ε1 and ε0 are considered as independently distributed random variables with zero means. • 8. Contract Law Regarding Sales Transaction In contract law concerning sales transaction, a Right to Cover is a remedy that is available to a buyer under Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), which governs the sales of goods. The UCC states a buyer may use a cover as a protection in an action of a breach in a sales contract. The buyer, in good faith, would purchase substitute goods when the seller violated the contract and fail to deliver the goods the buyer has asked for. The buyer can recover from the seller the difference of the cost of cover and contract price with any additional incidental or consequential damages. In other words, after the seller breaches the contract, the buyer is able to look for reasonable substitute goods. Then the buyer would have the damages recover from the seller. For example Bob, the buyer owns a hair salon. Bob orders 15 boxes of shampoos from John, the seller. John runs a hair supply store. Bob specifically orders the Green Tea scented shampoos. In his order, Bob states that he must have the shampoos by January 21. Bob pays the full contract price of $30 per box (a total of $450) to John. However on January 21, John delivers 15 boxes of peppermint scented shampoos. The goods are nonconforming because the shampoos are not what Bob has ordered. One option that Bob has is to cover or purchase reasonable replacement goods. Bob then decides to contact another supplier; Susan to order the Green Tea scented Shampoos and having it deliver on the same day. But Susan s hair supply ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In Richard Adams Watership Down, the rabbits in the story all live in groups on separate areas of land. These areas are called warrens, and there are three main warrens that will be discussed in this essay. Each of the three warrens have a different type of governments being run inside of them. The Sandleford Warren, the Efrafa Warren and the Watership Down Warren are all ran differently. Each warren has modern world equivalences relating to their governments. In the following paragraphs you will be able to see which modern world government matches up, and is present in each of the three warrens in Watership Down. The first warren is the Sandleford Warren, this warren is a communistic government. It is a communist government because all rabbits live under the order of the chief rabbit Threarah.. All the rabbits know to respect the chief rabbit especially if you are in a lower class like the rabbit Hazel. I m awfully sorry, Chief Rabbit Hazel pg12. The chief rabbit and his communist government want to control all the social classes and money in the area he controls. There are three social classes in the Sandleford Warren, the Chief Rabbit, the Owsla and the Outskirters. Outskirters that is, the rank and file of ordinary rabbits in their first year pg4. All these social classes are controlled by the Chief Rabbit. Mao Zedong started a communist government in China in 1927 and just as Chief Rabbit controlled the social classes of his warren, Mao Zedong controlled the social classes of the country of China. The exact amount that he takes is 1100 pieces of silver. An average yearly salary in Micah s day was ten pieces of silver which can be found in verse 10, so he stole a small fortune. Micah s mom gets very upset, as is her right, and she pronounces a curse on the person that had stolen the silver. When Micah learns of his mother s curse, he gets worried and returns the silver. The Old Testament law required Micah to add 1/5 (Exodus 22) to what he had stolen, 220 pieces of silver, but he does not do this. It is not a reverential fear of the Lord that makes Micah feel the need to confess his crime and return the money; it is his fear of his mother s curse. Micah does not feel guilty because of his sin but he is merely trying to save himself from a curse. Micah mother also sins. When Micah returns the silver, she doesn t curse but she blesses him. The National Assembly of Burundi passed Article 567 on 21 November 2008. Although shortly rejected by the state senate, Article 567 became law when President Pierre Nkurunziza overruled the senate s decision and signed the bill into law on 22 April 2009. The law criminalizing homosexual acts was controversial; especially, because Burundi did not have a specific history of homosexual discrimination, however, the implementation of the new law was reported to have been followed by a rise in anti gay sentiment. This is especially surprising, because unlike other countries in the region Burundi did not have a colonial past of sexual discrimination. This is not to say that before Article 567, the Burundian homosexual community did not face significant barriers in access to care and prevention. However, the new law has amplified the challenges of preventing HIV/AIDS within this community, which in turn negatively affects the overall efforts for global eradication of HIV. Reports of AIDS in Burundi first surfaced in 1983. At the time, same sex behavior was not considered a criminal act. In fact, Burundi does not always have a history of homophobia especially compared to the discrimination faced in its neighboring countries. A chase ensues, with bugs in the lead, using several forms of trickery to stay one step ahead of his opponent. Eventually, Bugs convinces Sam that the best way to handle the dispute is with a game of gin rummy, with the loser having to leave town. Of course Bugs wins the game but after packing all of Sam s belongings and pushing Sam on the train, he realizes that the train is full of beautiful woman and decides he will be the one leaving town. There are several different influences that can be noted when comparing Bugs Bunny to Native American lore. People bury different aspects of themselves because they are ashamed of these characteristics. These buried secrets become what people despise in themselves and others since no one likes to face what he tries so hard to put behind. (Rybczynski, Dawson, and Tedford 2009) In addition the carnivores and ungulates had long since separated before the convergent evolution that lead to whales, seals and walruses to move back to the ocean. (Prothero 2014) The predatory nature of carnivore that leads them to hunt their prey may also play a part in differentiating these mammals. They hunt animals that may live in the sea or on land such as the penguin and must be adapted as such to follow their prey from sea to land in order to catch it. During the evolution of these animals hair was lost in the whales but retained in the seals and walruses another reason this may have happened is because some seals and walruses eat the mussels, clams and other bivalves that live on the ocean floor. Hair in the form of whiskers or vibrissae that is present in seals and walruses serves a mechanoreception role. They assist in finding food such as mussels and clams on the ocean floor. These vibrissae have a sensitive innervated sinus area that allows the vibrissae to be used as a sensory organ rather than for thermoregulation as the rest of the body fur is used. It may be that the body fur remains because of these vibrissae. According to Hobbes, the nature of war consisteth not in actual fighting, but in the known disposition thereto during all the time there is no assurance to the contrary. (13) War is not a state of fighting, it is a state of being; specifically a state of being in which safety and protection of one s life or happiness are close to non existent. She goes on to say, Affirmative action is needed to lessen bias in the paid labor force because affirmative action is the only legal remedy in the United States for discrimination that does not require the victims (or someone with a stake in their welfare) to notice their condition and come forward with a grievance on their own behalf. ; (Tatum pp 123) In my opinion Affirmative action is a touchy subject, just like abortion. There are places where it should belong and places it shouldn t. I think it should be implemented in places of business where needed. For example if two candidates for a position are interviewed for a job and one happens to be white and the other black, and the black candidate is obviously more qualified for the job but doesn t get the job then that is a place where Affirmative action needs to b added to the system. It is sad that something like Affirmative action even had to be thought of but it is a reality that racism still exists and probably will continue to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. The Rise Of Guerrilla Marketing And Effect On Small Business The Rise of Guerrilla Marketing and the Effect on Small Business Anthony Campbell Alabama State University Abstract Distinguished by an aggressive and non traditional approach to promotion, guerrilla marketing shares the same goals as traditional advertising product or brand awareness growth but does so in uniquely personal ways. Small businesses in particular stand to benefit from the opportunity to communicate with consumers using a diverse set of methods and practices while working within a more restricted budget. While often hard to directly quantify, guerrilla marketing has a myriad of benefits compared to more traditional vehicles, particularly as it evolves to encompass online and social trends. Jay Conrad Levinson (2007) was the first to directly apply these concepts to the business world with a method of promotion he publicized in 1984 as guerrilla marketing. Strategists Ries and Trout (1986) quickly followed with their push to embrace analogies between the marketing and military world, and subsequently the marketing warfare strategies movement was born. Bach (2007) described the guerrilla marketing warfare strategy as potentially a major advantage small companies have over their larger marketplace competition, with the ability to rapidly disseminate low cost attacks by honing in on particular market niches and reaching them in previously unheard of ways. He went on to describe unorthodox communication methods that relied on speed and flexibility not afforded to more established, traditional forms of advertising (Bach, 2007). Prevot (2009) explained that the reliance on new approaches, such as the element of surprise within consumer s lives, can be a more successful way of connecting with potential patrons and making an indelible impression. As companies, particularly small entities, look for ways to position themselves against the constant tide of print, television and radio ads, the unique and low cost tactics of guerrilla marketing stand as a way to differentiate themselves and expand their market share in the mind of engaged consumers. • 44. Examples Of Irony In Lamb To The Slaughter In Lamb to the Slaughter the author, Roald Dahl writes about a young, pregnant woman named Mary Maloney waiting for the return of her husband. When Mr. Maloney arrives, he disrupts the usual domestic routine the couple had put in place by claiming he wants a divorce. Overcome with emotions Mary takes the audience by surprise. She kills her husband. While this may seem like a horror or tragic story. However, the irony of it all causes the audience to view it instead, as a dark humored comedy. The title itself is ironic thought the reader doesn t realize it until the end if the story. Lambs are often seen as a symbol for purity or innocence. The title Lamb to the Slaughter would be the same as saying killing innocence or the death of purity. The irony of the title itself is that a symbol of innocence is used as a murder weapon. The irony in the story doesn t really start until the end of the second page when Mary kills her husband and then in the most calm manner says, All right... so I ve killed him (Dahl 3). Everything the reader has seen up to this point about Mary s character is that she is docile, little housewife that will do anything to make her husband happy. She eagerly awaits her husband s return from work and does everything she can to make him comfortable rushing to pour him a drink or offering to get his slippers. Taking a piece of meat and using it to crush one s husband s skull is the exact opposite of these traits that have been seen previously in Mary. Add ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. Changes And Development Of The Aging Process Epigenetic changes are currently recognized as part of the aging process and have been implicated in many age related chronic diseases such as AD (1 3). The term epigenetics includes a variety of processes known to regulate gene expression in a stable and potentially reversible way, without altering the primary DNA sequence (4). Since epigenetics allow for the integration of long lasting non genetic inputs in the genome, research on age related disorders have recently focused in epigenetic mechanisms, and a growing number of epigenetic alterations in AD have been described recently (5). The best characterized epigenetic mechanisms include DNA methylation, histone posttranslational modifications, and non coding RNAs such as microRNAs (miRNAs). It is becoming increasingly evident the interplay between these mechanisms to establish the epigenetic states and expression patterns of many mammalian genes (1 3). For instance, it has been described that trimethylation of histone 3 at lysine 9 (H3K9me3) by the histone methyl transferase SUV39H1 is required for recruiting the DNA methyl transferase DNMT3b to pericentromeric repeats in order to allow heterochromatin structure (both H3 K9 methylation and DNA methylation are considered hallmarks of mammalian heterochromatin) (4). In turn, miRNAs can also control other epigenetic mechanisms; for example, miR 204 can target histone deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) (5), while miR 148 and miR 152 are reported to influence DNA methylation ... Examples Of Class Structure In Sons And Lovers D.H Lawrence s Sons and Lovers takes us back to the heart of industrialization the age where people were more concerned with money, power and class. In the first chapter the use of THE BOTTOMS , Hell Row and Bestwood signifies different areas where people belonging to different ranks lived. We come to know that Mrs. Morel is being forced to move into a new residence at The Bottoms and for her this is a great loss. Bestwood might not have been a great place for her but at least it was a better place than The Bottom which was now on the edge of its destruction. Mr. Morel and Mrs. Morel are the perfect example of the tragedy that the class system brings. The first chapter gives us an insight into Mrs. Morel s class we discover that Mrs. Morel came of a good old burgher family (Lawrence 33) thus pointing out that Mrs. Morel s ideal s and manners were completely different from those of Mr. Morel. Which was electronic components. Electronic components a fast efficient machine such as Babbage (who designed the mechanical calculating machines that are the ancestor of computers today) proposed could be built with all four components essential to modern computing. 2) What are four components essential to modern computing Input, Storage, Processor, Output A toaster is a way to show the four parts of a computer. Input just as a computer the raw data which will be as bread for a toaster goes in. Storage The information gets stored just as you are turning the dial for the toaster Processor It will then be processed just as the bread toast Output will be the final result (the bread being toasted) The difference between them however is a computer work with software that makes it figure out what to do with the input you give. Software gives the computer the ability to process many different things, while a toaster can just process bread. Another difference is the fact a computer has a microprocessor. Which is used for used to read different tasks. 3) How do computers receive input There was a time where computers received input by flipping switches, and plugging wire, and put holes in cards to input It data. ... • 49. The Impact Of Hate Crimes In America Over the years, America has been prone to this violent act of hate crime that puts its citizens in a situation of distressed and confusion. Hate crimes have been a part of America s history and culture for decades. Because America is a diverse country, the level of hate crimes is outrageous in many different levels due to different cultures, ethnicities, skin colors, and religions. Hate crime is a serious act and has influenced our society today to look at certain people a different way. It is not an act that people are born with rather than they are taught by it or it was inherited within a particular social group. With the election of President Trump in 2016, hate crime activities have really increased in just a year s matter. President Donald Trump plays a role in really highlighting these hate crimes and almost making it seem like he is promoting hate crimes though many of his speeches and statements. Of the many factors that contribute to the highly increasing hate crime activities, there are four factors that I believe are contributing to the increasing hate crime activities. Those four factors are thrill seeking, retaliation, mission offenders, and the income inequality. These factors all have a part into why hate crime activities are increasing over the year. There are many different hate crimes in America. Hate crimes are considered as criminal offenses and depending on which state this criminal offense has been committed, they have their own laws to rule over it. According to Jack Leven and Jack McDevitt, in their article Hate Crimes, they explained, ..the vast majority of hate crime laws do not criminalize any new behavior; instead, they increase the penalty for behaviors that are already against the law (Leven McDevitt, 2011). This is something that has been reviewed and updated over the years. As many new behaviors to hate crime activity surface, those crimes will eventually fall under some old laws but the penalty of it will eventually increase. This hate crime activity includes any acts that involve with any negative attitudes or prejudice toward anyone because of their race, religion, ethnicity, or gender. It often leads to people being bias and showing a tremendous amount of hatred ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Likert sums it up that all organizations can be summarized into one of four systems. The seven dimensions are as follows; employee motivation, the characterization of the communication process, the interaction influence process, decision making process, the type of goal setting, the control processes and its performance characteristics.
