My notes for 9th grade, 2nd Quarter. Consists of multiple lessons in Science from the History of the Atomic Model to Electron Dot Structure. To be honest, I got lazy in making this halfway there. Sorry. ^^u
module 1 electronic structure of matter.pptxMaryroseBudhi1
Module 1: Electronic Structure of Matter
Objectives: Know atom and its sub - particles
determine the characteristics colors that metal salts emit
what is atom?
atom is the basic unit of chemical element
it composes three subatomic particle
proton with a positively electric charge
electron with a negatively electric charge
neutron no electric charge
What minerals produce the color in fireworks?
Mineral elements provide color in fireworks. Barium produces bright greens; strontium yields deep reds;' copper produces blues/ and sodium yields yellow. other colors can be made by mixing elements; strontium and sodium produce brilliant orange; titanium, zirconium, and magnesium alloys make silvery white; copper and strontium make lavender. gold sparks are produced by iron fillings and small pieces of charcoal. bright flashes and loud bangs come from aluminum powder.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The Indian economy is classified into different sectors to simplify the analysis and understanding of economic activities. For Class 10, it's essential to grasp the sectors of the Indian economy, understand their characteristics, and recognize their importance. 7. When magma is expelled out of the volcano and reaches the
Earth’s surface, it is called lava.
A magma chamber is a large underground pool of molten
rock sitting underneath the Earth's crust.
8. A vent is the spot in the Earth’s crust where gases, molten rock,
lava, and rocks erupt.
A crater is a circular depression around a vent. This is where
the lava, ash, and rock erupt out of volcano.
A crater that becomes very wide as a result of the collapse of
its wall is called caldera.
MAIN FEATURES OF TYPICAL VOLCANO
9. TYPES OF VOLCANOES
Volcanoes may be classified according to their shape and activity.
VOLCANOES CLASSIFIED ACCORDING
TO SHAPE:
1. Cinder Cone Volcano
2. Shield Volcanoes
3. Composite Volcano
VOLCANOES CLASSIFIED ACCORDING
TO ACTIVITY:
1. Active Volcanoes
2. Dormant Volcanoes
3. Extinct Volcanoes
10. VOLCANOES CLASSIFIED ACCORDING TO SHAPE:
1. Cinder Cone Volcano
- are among the most common
volcanic landforms found in the world.
They are steep, conical hill formed
above a vent.
-are built from lava fragments called
cinders.
- rarely exceed 250 meters in height
and 500 meters in diameter.
Mount Paricutin
11. 2. Shield Volcano
- are larger than the cinder
volcanoes. They are formed
through the continuous flow
of lava that reach great
distances from central summit
vent or group of vents.
Mauna loa in Hawaii
12. 3. Composite Volcano
- also known as
stratovolcanoes.
- tall, symmetrically
shaped, and have steep sides,
sometimes rising 10,000 feet
high.
13. VOLCANOES CLASSIFIED ACCORDING TO ACTIVITY:
1. Active Volcano
- is said to be active if they have already erupted in the past or in
recent times and still capable of erupting any time.
The world’s smallest active volcano is in the Philippines. It is Taal
Volcano in Batangas. It is 508 meters or 1,660 feet high.
14. 2. Dormant Volcano
Volcanoes can be classified dormant if they have erupted in
historical times but are now quiet and inactive, but geologists think
that they still capable of erupting.
The world’s smallest inactive volcano is the Cuexcomate Volcano in
Puebla, Mexico. It is just 13 meters or 43 feet tall, with a reach or
diameter of 23 meters feet.
Cuexcomate is derived from Nahuatl Cuexcomate which means bowl
or place for keeping things.
15. 3. Extinct Volcano
Volcanoes are often considered to be extinct if there are no records of
their activity.
