1. Good Transitions For Essays
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Good Transitions for Essays" is, ironically, a task that requires
seamless transitions in itself. The challenge lies not only in elucidating the importance of
transitions but also in demonstrating a mastery of them throughout the essay. The irony
intensifies as the writer must embody the very principles they are expounding, weaving a
tapestry of coherence, fluidity, and logical progression.
To delve into the intricacies of effective transitions, one must possess a keen understanding of
the nuances that define them. It's not merely about inserting connective phrases; it's about
orchestrating a symphony of ideas that seamlessly flow from one to another. The writer needs to
consider the rhythm, pacing, and harmony of their sentences, ensuring that each transition serves
as a bridge, guiding the reader effortlessly from point to point.
The difficulty intensifies as one navigates the fine line between overusing transitions and
neglecting them altogether. Striking the right balance is an art that demands precision and
finesse. Too many transitions can clutter the narrative, obscuring the central message, while too
few can leave the reader disoriented and disconnected.
Additionally, the writer must grapple with the challenge of catering to a diverse audience with
varying levels of familiarity with the topic. Simultaneously, they must avoid redundancy and
monotony, injecting creativity into their transitions to captivate the reader's attention.
In essence, composing an essay on the art of transitions necessitates more than just conveying
information; it requires embodying the principles being discussed. It's a cerebral exercise that
challenges the writer to not only explain but exemplify, making the entire writing process a
metaphorical journey through smoothly connected ideas.
And so, as the writer wraps up their exploration of the intricacies of transitions without explicitly
mentioning the topic, a subtle transition invites readers to explore similar essays and much more
on the art of effective writing. For those seeking assistance in mastering the craft, resources like
HelpWriting.net offer a gateway to a trove of knowledge and expertise, where the art of
transitions and other facets of essay writing can be honed with guidance and support.

2. The Importance Of Fear In Arrival
Fear and Foresight go hand in hand when individuals make life altering choices
that determine their destiny. Not knowing what the future holds, fear takes over
the mind of the vulnerable.Whether an individual can see the future or not they
have the choice to either embrace or fear what is next to come. In the movie
Arrival, Louise makes the decision to proceed with the pregnancy of her daughter
even though she knows the child s fate. ...despite knowing the journey and where it
leads, I embrace it and welcome every moment of it... However, the father decides
to leave their family because he cannot endure the pain of losing a child. The
mystery of the arrival of the Heptapods induces fear into the world. The Chinese
declare war on the Heptapods because they are worried that their lives may be
threatened. Throughout the film, Denis Villeneuve explores the different reactions
between fear and foresight and the actions individuals take when their lives are
endangered. Whether an individual can see the future or not they can either choose
to accept their fate, or fear what s to come in the time ahead. Louise makes the
choice to proceed with her pregnancy because she understands that it is a part of the
humancondition to die. She makes the choice to have her daughter because she does
not let fear determine her decision. Louise disregards fear because she recognizes
that every individual s life is planned from start to finish, so they must learn to
espouse it all. Even though her

At the end of the play Lysistrata reprimands the chorus due to their continuing
arguing. She reminds the chorus of men that a truce has been declared and that they
should not fight over unimportant things. The men before had wanted to continue the
argument against the women and the chorus of women. When Lysistrata tells them to
not fight about unimportant things, they agreed because the Spartan Envoy agreed.
Once the chorus men agreed, Lysistrata invited all the men and women into the
temple to be purified and all join together. Lysistrata successfully joined both the
chorus of men and the chorus of women to finally work together, resulting in their
plan to be achieved. The plan of peace is to end the war due to the fact that is was

4. Pros And Cons Of Therapeutic Robots
Medical technology has evolved, starting from the nineteenth century to further
development of the medical technologies such as the diagnostic technology now
being able to find the diagnosis of the patient by automatically recording the data of
the illness. Doctors and other health professions are now able to prevent illnesses
from getting worse; the evolvement of medical technology has further allowed us to
help diminish certain health illness(es). For example, the therapeutic robots have
been developed to help treat illnesses such as dementia but further studies have
proven that therapeutic robots can do so much more. Therapeutic robots are robots
used for companionship and therapy; it is a robotic pet such as an otter, cat, seal,
and/or dog that operates like a real pet to help someone s health issue. Yet,
therapeutic robots are seen as controversial since many people view therapeutic
robots as a way of raising ethical concerns since they believe that therapeutic robots
can eventually replace humans. Although therapeutic robots such as PARO are
viewed as harmful, they are beneficial to the society because it can help diminish
dementia, has a psychological effect on patients, improves the socialization, and treats
depression and alzheimer s.
PARO is a therapeutic robotused as a medical device in hospitals and nursing homes
for patients with severe health illnesses that has been around since 2004. As claimed
by the PARO website, PARO is an advanced interactive robot
5. Teenage Driver Observation Paper
On March 30, 2018, a call was dispatched about a possible drunk driver traveling
eastbound on Highway 90, passing Highway 57. The reporting party described the
vehicle as an older model Dodge truck faded red in color.
I was sitting in my vehicle at the police department when I observed a Dodge Ram
matching the description drive past me. They were traveling at a speed of 30
MPH in a 45 MPH speed zone. When I got behind the vehicle I noticed they were
traveling while touching the left center line, they also had a bunch of miscellaneous
items hanging from their rear view mirror obstructing their view. I initiated my blue
lights and siren to conduct a traffic stop. We pulled into the Mcdonald s parking lot
off of Highway 90. Sgt. Fowler then pulled up and assisted me on my traffic stop.
The vehicle consisted of three passengers. The driver was identified as Ricky Smith,
the back passenger was identified as Tony Teauge, and the front passenger was Smith
s mother.
After asking Smith for a valid driver s license and proof of insurance, he stated he
does not have a valid license and that it is suspended. Smith stated his mother was at

6. Edward Malt s The Lindisfarne Gospels
A medieval minister takes up a plume pen, designed from a goose quill, and
plunges it into a rich, dark ink produced using ash. Situated on a wooden seat in the
scriptorium of Lindisfarne, an island off the shore of Northumberland in England,
he gazes hard at the words from a composition made in Italy. This book is his
model, a bound book, produced using sheets of paper or material, the codex, from
which he is to duplicate the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. For about the
following six years, he will duplicate this Latin.
The Lindisfarne Gospels, a standout amongst the greatest compositions of the early
medieval times, was composed and enhanced toward the end of the seventh century
by the monk Eadfrith, who got to be Bishop of Lindisfarne in 698 and passed on in
721. Its unique calfskin tying, was made by Ethelwald, who succeeded Eadfrith as
leader, and was enriched with gems and valuable metals later in the eighth century by
Billfrith the Anchorite. Today the composition is still bound in silver and gems, in
spreads made in 1852 to the detriment of Edward Maltby, bishop of Durham. The
configuration depends on themes drawn from the enrichment of the composition
itself. Approximately 365 Г— 275 mm in size, it was produced in the British Isles

7. Margaret Sanger s Planned Parenthood
Margaret Sanger s efforts for women s rights lead to the founding of Planned
Parenthood in 1916. Initially she grew up in a large poverty stricken family of
eleven, which greatly impacted her stance on reproductive privileges. Her mother
had a total of eighteen pregnancies, seven in which resulted in miscarriages, dying
at age 43. Sanger decided she did not want to suffer the same way her mother did,
so she had a plan. Later on, she went on to be a nurse for women who suffered from
pregnancysymptoms during a time that had little to no medical care for the poor.
After a while of doing this, Sanger saw and heard things that in her mind, needed to
be changed. From thereon, she had created a newspaper that focused on the
importance of contraceptives
8. Contributions Of Prominent Muslim Women
Ehab Elatrash12 A3/20/2017 Contributions of Prominent Muslim Women
People when asked about Muslim women automatically picture an oppressed,
mistreated, woman. One who doesn t receive her rights and is not acknowledged in

might not have much knowledge in Islam. If they were to look deeper they would be
astonished to see a womans worth in Islam and all the rights given towards women.
And how women in Islamic history helped shape the religion. Some prominent

10. Imperialism South Africa
The neoliberal policies, which South Africa has implemented after the end of the
Apartheid era, has lead to increased inequality, both on the national as well as the
global level. This has led many to argue that South Africa today faces a new kind of
imperialism, one that is not so much based on political subordination but rather on a
new type of economic subordination through a so called empire of capital . This
idea, among others, falls under the broader theory of economic imperialism .
According to the proponents of Economic Imperialism, neoliberal policies are driven
by the logic of private accumilation of capital based on the exploitation of labour
throughout the world, which has in turn caused a world wide system of production
and labour exploitation, with extreme levels of inequality and a system of
dependency relations as a result. It becomes quickly clear, when defining economic
imperialism, that it looks very unfavourably towards both the developed West and
neoliberalism. Whether this can be justified however, ... Show more content on

It therefore also remains questionable whether or not neoliberalism is such a negative
development at all. In the absence of alternative histories it is always easy to blame
all the problems of the present on certain political courses, while neglecting the good
developments it has brought to the country. Unfortunately, a thorough theoretical
discussion on neoliberalism has been outside the scope of our paper. But whether or
not neoliberalism becomes to be seen in a more positive light is ultimately dependent
on the economic development of South Africa, something to which the future will
provide us an answer
11. Robert Adam Research Paper
Biography
Frequently considered one of the most well known architects in Scotland, Robert
Adam emerged as a leader of classical resurgence in England for both interior
decoration and architecture. Born in Kirkcaldy, Fife in 1728, his designs
combined light, detailed embellishment and colors, which he were mainly notable
for his use of abundant colors. Robert Adam was an eclectic who relied on his
design innovations as much as his business sense (Sharp, D., 1991). His work was
on occasion acknowledged as neo classical and Adamesque which the proper term
should have been style of the Adams brothers ( anam thanvi, 2013). His projects used

Their firm was massive and during his time, Adam was one of the reigning king s of
architecture and leaves a legacy of the Adam Style. (Sharp, D., 1991). Adam s
adornment was typically considered more than just a delicate surface adornment, in
fact, it was significantly broader, it was mostly to eloquent and define a room, to
relay the diverse elements within it, to accomplish balance and symmetry and to
provide character. Adam worked in numerous capacities and it echoes in his
creations. In London, the firm often hired a large group of craftsmen, who put
together numerous of Adam s designs. Adam s designs were unique. Compared to
other designers and architects, he directly design and took full accountability for
every single aspects of each creations, which gives his work harmony which is
essential for one of the principle of architecture, the movement. That principle
depends on thoughtful dramatic contracts in the design. A good example of that style

12. Chipotle For The Fast Food Industry
I choose to explore Chipotle for this assignment because this brand has become a
staple in the fast food industry in what I perceive a very short amount of time. I am
currently a loyal customer of Chipotle, I have been eating at this restaurant for about
7 years now. I perceive this brand to represent quality fast food, consistently.
The first Chipotle opened in Denver, Colorado in 1993, the business has now been
operating almost 20 years.
The Big Three Mc Donald s (1940), Burger King (1954), and Wendy s (1969)
Reasoning:
Fast food restaurants typically cook their food in advance and in bulk, it is then
reheated when ordered. At these establishments, it is extremely rare for food to be
prepared and cooked fresh daily. Usually fast food restaurants are a part of a
restaurant franchise, which means each location is owned by a franchisee. The
franchisee is responsible for the day to day operations and management of the
restaurant. Chipotle also differentiates itself in that it is not a franchise, and does not
plan on becoming one.
According to Chris Arnold, a spokesperson for the brand; The reason we don t
franchise is because we don t need to, companies tend to franchise because they need
money to grow and/or operators to run their business. We have plenty of money for
growth. he continues by stating When you franchise, you give up control over how
restaurants are run and that can compromise the experience. .

16. Chimney Sweeper William Blake
William Blake proved himself as one of the most influential artists to spring from
the Romantic Era without a doubt. What made Blake so popular may have been
his ability to portray his time period in works of art that were beautifully crafted.
Blake s poetry was not appreciated during his lifetime because people were living
the lives his works vicariously told, but once his time period ended, a historical
book was left behind. The theme of a struggle is most prominently showcased in
Blake s poetry. Whether it be Blake depicting women and their power struggle
throughout the 18th or 19th century, or depicting the lives of the children put into the

By the speakers hair remaining white, the unobstructed purity is showcased. The
color white makes a second appearance in the first The Chimney Sweeper here, Then
naked and white, all their bags left behind . This passage literally shows the
childrens innocence because their young bodies were bare. When a newborn enters
the world, this is truly the most innocent time in ones life. Through Blakes allusion
to the naked, pure, and free bodies he is emphasizing their continued innocence. The
irony of the color white in this passage is showcased because more than 65% of the
chimney sweeps were black (Simkin 1), restating that the color white is only inserted
in the poem to symbolize innocence (Smith 1).
The transition from The Chimney Sweeper in Songs of Innocence to the other The
Chimney Sweeper in Songs of Experience is a jurassic change of perspective by
the narrator. In the second poem, no façade is placed on the fact that the children
are not innocent. The first line of this poem references the lack of innocence, A little
black thing among the snow, and like previously stated, it is understood that the
color white signifies innocence so on the contrary, the color black represents
corruption. Tom Dacre again states that he knows his life is a tragic one when he
says, They clothed me in the clothes of death. This is directly

One Decision Can Turn You Upside Down
When I was in 6th grade, two of my friends and I were doing what we always did,
riding around on the golf cart staying out of trouble, having the best time. I have
been friends with these two girls for almost ten years. We would tell each other
anything and we always went for golf cart rides to talk about anything and
everything. Since we were at a young age, we always would go ride around in the
woods and laugh about random things. One night we got together and were doing
what we regularly did.
This night, in particular, was very eventful. The sun was still setting, the air was
getting crisp, and the full moon was coming out. It was the beginning of fall and the
leaves were bright with fall colors. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I reached for her legs tenaciously and during that time when I was pulling her back,
the whole golf cart flipped on its side.
After we had flipped it, we were all shocked and said nothing. We felt impotent.
Because we were so young and had flipped this vehicle over, we then quickly
realized that we had not only flipped the golf cart, but we had flipped it in my front
yard. The large moon was in the sky, shining its light right on our mistake. We all
knew that my dad could see us at any second. I knew that if he saw us he would have
a grimace on his face, and if my dad would see us in this position, I would die.
All at once we ran over to one side of the golf cart and started pushing it back up
powerfully. Any act of succor would have been helpful during this time. Once we
got it back on all four tires, I looked to see if there was any damage to the golf cart,
thankfully, there was none. We then all got back onto the golf cart and started to
laugh about what had just happened. After we had shakily giggled for a while we
started to talk about what could have happened in that brief moment if we were
sitting in different positions, or if someone had hit their head. If something bad had
happened our lives could have changed. We talked to each other about what we
thought had just happened.
If I would have hit my head on the steering wheel, I could

Humans are destructive. Not a lot of us think about how what we do affects the

things that live out in the wild are paying the price for it. Every day that passes

Consider, for example, the case history of the gray wolf (Canis lupus).
The gray wolf is not only one of the most impressive of the large North American
mammals it is also one of the most misunderstood. The history of the gray wolf since
the arrival of the European peoples who indiscriminately displaced both indigenous
human populations and indigenous animal and plant populations has been interlaced
with attempts at extermination and, more recently, conservation. The specieswas
almost reduced to the point of extinction before public sentiment would sway to the
point where it would receive some protection.
First listed as an endangered species in 1973, the gray wolf (thanks to the
conservation efforts and severe legal penalties for harming this species that are
attributable to the Endangered Species Act) is one of the success stories of the
Endangered Species Act. With the upswing in the gray wolf population, however,
there has been a consequent increase once again in the same public resentment
which almost obliterated the gray wolf from the face of the earth just a few decades
ago. This resentment, and the loss of habitat which seems to characterize so many
indigenous species of the Americas, translate to a continuation of the rocky road
which the gray wolf has traveled for so long.
The plight of the gray wolf can be directly related to the fact that the wolf is
considered a threat to man and livestock alike. Although wolf behavior makes them

Texas A M University Kingsville should provide ceiling fans to different areas of

unit of the school which includes the classrooms and your room areas. Fans are
used mainly for creating a current of air or breeze, especially a machine using an
electric motor to rotate and in order to move air that is used for cooling the area.
The problem of the proposal leading to making a change in convincing the schoolto
provide fans in different areas can come in many different ways. There are several
problems that I want to discuss that leads to schools providing fans to different
areas. It includes that without fans in the school area it can affect your health
status, it can lead to dehydration in which your body loses more water than it takes
in and it can also lead to death. The first problem of the fans not being provided to
different parts of the school area is that it can lead to affecting your health. In general,
a fanhelps to cool the surrounding when people are inside their roomsduring the day.
When there is no presence of fan, most people would sweat and in a hot area with no
cold atmosphere coming in through it could lead to suffocation due to the presence
of much heat.
The second problem is that it can lead to dehydration. In this aspect where a place or
a surrounding is hot you would sweat. This will

from a desire to evoke the militaristic victories of Napoleon. Allusions to Napoleon
s militaristic accomplishments had been on show throughout the chateau. Textiles
had been being used as coverings for walls for long before the Empire era style of
interior design. At Malmaison, Percier and Fontaine raised textiles all the way up
to the ceiling, draped them over doors, and even hung them loosely like curtains.
Opulent tents and wall hangings were also associated with the ancient Roman
Empire. Napoleon often identified stylistically and politically with Rome s golden
age. He modeled portraits of himself after the monarchs of the ancient regime,
which he helped to overthrow. It may have been a similar self conscious move on
the part of Percier Fontaine and Josephine to cover the interiors of the Malmaison
with pricey and expensive fabrics. Napoleon s Council Room, one of the rooms
that included a tent style ceiling, was where the First Consul meet with his
ministers. The walls and ceiling of the Council Room were covered with a striped
fabric. The fabric was yellow, off white, and black. Running along the lower part of
the walls was a black and gold faux bronze
22. Crime Of Organized Crime And Criminal Structures
The topic of this paper is gangsters in organized crime can either work alone or work
with other gangsters. When people commit crimes with other criminals, their personal
ties to each other become strong when there is especially trust or there could be no
trust, however, those ties can become strong at some point.
My paper will be about on the organized criminal structures that Frank Costello had.
In the book, it has a lot of personal ties telling the reader who ties personally that
Costello had with people that is what the paper will be about. In the illegal
activities that Costello committed, what type of crimes has he committed. All of
the activities that Costello did during his life will be until his death. My paper will
be about criminal structures and the overall generalization about it. What will be
described is what type of criminal structures Costello had. Was it hierarchical and
etc? What money ties or the economically aspect are in criminal structures will be
talked about. My paper will also be about how law enforcement ties to criminal
structures and networks to other people and getting the people doing illegal
business caught. The final paper will also talk about how important trust is in
criminal structures. What would be talked about is even if having ties to other ties
regarding people will a person reoffend. In one part of the paper, it will be about
criminal networks.

The farther away a star is, the less its parallax. The light year is a unit used to
express stellar distance, which is the distance light travels in a year, which is
approximately 9.5 trillion kilometers (5.8 trillion miles). The parallax angles are
very small. Proxima Centauri is the parallax angle nearest to the star. It is less than
one second or arc, which equals 1/3600 of a degree. A human finger is roughly 1
degree wide. The distances to stars are so large that conventional units such as
kilometers or astronomical units are often too cumbersome to use. Some
limitations are that parallax angles of less than 0.001 arcsec are very difficult to
measure from Earth because of the effects on the Earth s atmosphere. This limits
Earth based telescopes to measuring the distances to stars about 10.01 or 100
parsecs away. Spaced based telescopes can get accuracy to 0.001, which has
increased the number of stars whose distance could be measured with this method.
However, most stars even in our own galaxy are much further away than 1000
parsecs, since the Milky Way is about 30,000 parsecs across. Reference Lutgens, F.

How schools put these into place:
At Moorlands Primary we have our own safeguarding policy in which we have and
must follow at all times regarding to the safety of all the children, If I was to ever
have a cause for concern for a child inside of school, I would fill out the cause for
concern sheet. Once I have completed this form it has to be signed and dated straight
away from the schools Senior Designated Person (SDP). Any of the information
noted must be kept in a separate named file and in a secure cabinet, not with the child
s educational file. These files with then be the responsibility of the SPD. The child s
information will be shared within the school only if it is in the need to know basis
and in the child s strictest interests and making sure that it will always be kept
confidential.
The child s information will only be kept in this file and must be kept up to date
with all records of concern. Copies of referrals, invitations to the child protection
conferences, core groups and reports will also be stored here.
When the child has left the school, the SDP has to contact the new school to make
sure that the file is despatched to the new school in a secure and appropriate
manner and that the evidence is retained to validate how the file was reassigned.
This may be done by having a written confirmation of receipt, have evidence of a

25. Compare And Contrast Brecht And Stanislavski
Bertolt Brecht and Constantin Stanislavski are regarded as two of the most
influential practitioners of the twentieth century, both with strong opinions and ideas
about the function of the theatre and the actors within it. Both theories are considered
useful and are used throughout the world as a means to achieve a good piece of theatre
. The fact that both are so well respected is probably the only obvious similarity as
their work is almost of complete opposites.
Stanislavski was born in 1863 to a wealthy family who loved amateur theatricals. In
1898 he met Vladimir Nemirovich Danchenko and they founded the Moscow Art
Theatre. Stanislavski s work is centred on the notion that acting should be a total

Brecht s idea of the actor s role is very much different from Stanislavski s. Brecht saw
the actor as tool to simply represent an archetype. Brecht didn t want the audience
taken in by the actor s performance, he wanted to alienate them from the action so
that they could judge the plays meanings rather than feel empathy with the characters.
He called this the Verfremdungseffekt, which translated from German means the
effect of a worldview. Up until Brechts revolutionary work, method acting was very
common. Brecht quoted
Nowadays the plays meaning is usually blurred by the fact that the actor plays to the
audiences hearts. The figures portrayed are foisted on the audience and are falsified
in the process. Contrary to present custom they ought to be presented quite coldly,
classically and objectively. For they are not matter for empathy; they are there to be

Brecht was not the sort of writer or director that wanted an exact portrayal from his
actors of how he saw his characters. Nor did he expect the audience to take an exact
interpretation from he actors. He wanted the audience to draw some sort of moral
from the story that would arouse their sense of reason to affect their own
26. Maslow Hierarchy of Needs
In 1943, Abraham Maslow developed a theory in psychology known as the
Hierarchy of Needs. Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs is mostly often used as a
pyramid, as shown on the title page. One of the many interesting things that
Maslow noticed, is the layers of physiological needs, safety and security needs, the
needs for loving and belonging, esteem needs, and self actualization, in that
order(working from the bottom layer of the pyramid up). The physiological needs
include the basic needs that are vital to survive such as, food, sleep, air, and water.
Maslow felt that these needs are the most basic needs and are also the most
instinctive needs for the hierarchy, because all needs become less important until the
physiological needs are met.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The higher form involves the need for self respect, including such feelings as
confidence, capability, achievement, mastery, independence, and freedom. The
negative version of these needs is low self esteem and poor quality complexes. In
modern countries, most of us have what we need in regard to our physiological
and safety needs. We usually have quite a bit of love and belonging too. Its respect
that often seems difficult to get. The last level is a bit different; Maslow used a
variety of terms to describe this level. The mainly used term is self actualization.
These are needs that do not involve balance. Once engaged, they don t go away,
they continue to be felt. In fact, they are likely to become stronger as we feed them
or stimulate them. They involve the continuous desire to fulfill potentials, to be all
you can be . They are a matter of becoming the most complete self actualizing. If
you truly want to be self actualizing, you need to have all your lower needs at least
mostly complete. When lower needs aren t met, you can t fully devote your time
and energy to fulfilling your potentials. It isn t surprising, the world being as
difficult as it is, that only a small percentage of the world s population is truly self
actualizing. Maslow doesn t think that self actualizers aren t perfect, of course.
There were several flaws or imperfections he discovered along the way as well: First,
they often suffered considerable anxiety and guilt, and finally, some of them

Before 1996, health insurance companies were able to set their own arbitrary
restrictions on how much mental health coverage an insured individual receives.
Often coverage for mental healthcare and substance abuse treatment such as therapy
sessions and hospital visits was severely restricted. As a result, many people did not
seek treatment for their mental health or substance abuse issues, even if they were in
desperate need of professional help (Foundations Recovery Network, 2016).

Health plans have limited treatment of mental illnesses by covering fewer inpatient
hospitalizations and outpatient office visits, increasing cost sharing for mental health
care by increasing deductibles and copays, and imposing more stringent annual or
lifetime dollar limits on mental health coverage (Chamberlin, 2015). Even with the
passing of The Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA), there is
not a uniform consensus about the extent to which state government should require
coverage for mental health (NCSL, 2015). There is a major role for social workers to
push for a uniform consensus in how state government should require coverage for
mental health.
h.Is the problem adequately addressed by present social welfare and programs? Is
there more or less which should be done?
The problem is not adequately addressed because there are still people who work

exceptions are Self insured non Federal governmental plans that have 50 or fewer

Book Review: The Second Shift
It is believed that women have to work more than men. However, focuses upon
studying the history of the society, they are never given an acknowledgment for this
matter. With the passage of time, women start getting the equal importance in the
society and they receive the right of engaging in the professional activities (Arlie
Russell Anne, 1989). Still, in spite of having professional commitments, they do not
get freedom from the childcare and other household activates, which doubles up their
burden. On the other hand, men enjoy freedom from the household undertakings with
excuses of their professional obligations.
The Second Shift, by Arlie Hochschild, is a book, which sheds light on the women
men work disparity in the family domain. Basically, in this book, it encompasses
different results of the surveys, conducted by the author on the theme of the marital
responsibility. It indeed portrays the prevailing inequality between men and women in
the human society when it comes to share the domestic obligations. It also extracts
the types of couples and their preference on this matter from this survey (Arlie

applications and levels of strength. The most common type of electromagnetic
radiation used in the medical is known as ionising radiation, that form of radiation is
far more powerful than non ionising radiation because it cannot break molecular

Nuclear medicine is a specific branch of medicine that uses tiny amounts of

diseases like heart disease, gastrointestinal (stomach), endocrine (gland) and

irregularities in the body allowing for the doctors to treat the illness before it

Pyramid Discipleship Discipleship in a mega church
One of the hardest things to do when you are in a mega church is creating a

discipling there will be others above them to disciple them as they go. When you

would oversee the discipleship program. Weather this be one or two people, this is

Spinning is an ancient practice, showing up in biblical writings, such as in
Proverbs expressing a spinner as a virtuous woman. She who spins is the model of
the good woman and wife and presumably in many cultures of the subservient
woman who knows her duty that is to remain silent and betray no secrets. (57)
Philomela takes something that is so harmless and domestic and uses it to speak
and break the silence that has been enforced upon her, speaking in another mode.
This mode she is familiar with and has grown up doing. Ovid s account of what
happened to Philomela is without a doubt a retelling, taken from a woman s
narrative through the medium of weaving. This is also how fairy tales are regarded
in later centuries, and Philomela became the prototype for female storytellers in later
traditions. We move on to Arabian Nights, in which Scheherazade is the character of
interest. Most people read this book as a tale of masculine adventures, and tend not to
notice who is behind the telling of these tales. Scheherazade is a hero in the fact that
she saves both virgins from slaughter and the King from his madness after he vows to

Van Gogh got excited over the look of these trees and painted them. Some of his
paintings of the trees represented life, others represented how he felt about Christ in
Gethsemane, and others represented a combination of both of these things. An
example of an art piece that had a lot to do with religion was OliveTrees with Alpilles
in the Background (Fig. 6). This piece was painted with Christ in Gethsemane in
mind. He wanted to create a piece that used a more purer and serence sense of
nature without using religious imagery. With this piece he wanted to show it was
possible to paint the meaning of Christ in the Garden of Olives, the garden of
Gethsemane where Christ prayed the night before his crucifixion, without aiming
straight for the historical Garden of Gethsemane. Vincent had done religious
paintings before, he actually painted Christ in the arden of Olives twice before, but
both times he decided not to paint the images of Christ since, as he said in a letter
to his brother Theo, he did not want to do figures of such importance without a
model. Van Gogh actually had begun to avoid doing religious work around this time
for both aesthetic and moral reasons. Van Gogh had rejected what he believed to be
his parents narrow religionious views and went for a much different view, one where
life itself almost didn t seem to matter of have purpose, something close to Nihilism.

are young. Supporters of more comprehensive paid maternity leave say motherhood
means a substantial loss of earnings, demotion and insecurity in the workplace for
many women. Providing financial and job security for women as well as helping
businesses retain skilled employees makes good financial sense. They point out that
it is only a privileged few who receive paid leave, and these are usually women on
higher incomes.
There are also those who point to paid maternity leave as a way of dealing with
concerns about the ageing of the Australian population and declining birth rate.
Demographer Professor Peter McDonald claims that Australia cannot afford to
continue with its system of unpaid leave if it wants to encourage the birth rate, which
is presently below replacement levels.
Striking a balance between affordable policies and meeting the needs of families is
challenging. Many agree that it is unfair for business alone to be expected to shoulder
the burden of paid leave. Australian Democrats leader Senator Natasha Stott Despoja
has suggested that consideration be given to alternatives to the existing employer
pays system. She advocates
41. Pros And Cons Of Cloud Seeding
For a considerable amount of time, close to 60 years, there have been many
disagreements based on the innovation of cloud seeding, a way to control the
amount of moisture in the clouds in this case hail suppression. While the farmers
feel the seeding is necessary to prevent the amount of damage to crops and property
caused in years before, the population located in the Davis Mountain region needs
any sort of moisture they can get otherwise their crops will perish. The first article
argues why using cloud seedingfor hail suppression is necessary. For example, the
article states in 2001, flooding costs totaled $43 million in crop damage and an
additional $1.2 billion in property damage. Destruction from hail that same year
cost almost double in property damage and five times more in crop damage. In
1958, the court limited the abilities of people to use cloud seeding to create hail
suppression and that limitation caused a serious uproar among that area s
population. They felt like they shouldn t be limited in stopping the cause of the
damages cause to property and crop and should be forced to endure it. In their eyes
it was wrong and for farmers to be prevented in creating a sustainable food source
like they should have been was unthinkable and unfair.... Show more content on

The article states that the Davis Mountain region is a dry environment and they want
any moisture they can get, but with hail suppression it eliminates any chance of
moisture thus eliminating the crops. Also the people seeding the clouds did not
inform the population of what they were doing so they were never ready. although
their were no laws deciding who would get the moisture and who wouldn t it was
still wrong and created problems towards the area. The problem should have been
thought through fully to be able to deal with other people influenced instead of being

42. Pros And Cons Of Private Prisons
In the United States, private prisons benefit from mass incarceration by exploiting the
system, turning human beings into profitable capital. Private prisons are a growth
industry in America. With the increase of immigrant incarceration, the amount of
deaths of immigrants has risen (Independant). Private prisons are more harmful than
governmental ones, resulting in greater deaths of prisoners and billions of money
gained by the companies running them. Private prisons should be outlawed because it
doesn t support basic human rights, and ultimately only benefits the companies who
run the private businesses. Over the past couple of decades, imprisonment in the
United States has increased explosively. Imprisonment in the U.S. is higher than any
other country in the world. Mass incarcerationin private prisons occur because the
private runned companies pick and choose prisoners that are less costly than others
(Times). Studies from the University of Wisconsin have shown that prisoners who
are being held in private prisons may serve sentences that are up to 7% longer than
prisoners who are in public prisons serving a similar sentence. Which is directly
correlated to the profit potential that each prisoner provides the company that is
overseeing the incarceration. Private prisons take in prisoners who are less costly
and make them do cheap labor. The current incarceration rate deprives record
numbers of individuals of their liberty, disproportionately affects people of color, and
43. The Disney Of Jap Japanese History, Traditions, Rites,...
We are often not aware of the richness and uniqueness of our cultural heritage from
stories, traditions, rites, designs and tales of the gods. Surrounded by high
technology and its flimsy devices, children are more and more losing their roots. We
must inform them of the richness of our traditions. Hayao Miyazaki
I can t help but wonder how does Studio Ghibli s leading director Hayao Miyazaki
draw on western sources and settings as well as Japanese history and traditions in
two of Studio Ghibli s films: My Neighbour Totoro and Spirited Away?
With headquarters based in Koganei, Tokyo, Japan, Studio Ghibli is easily one of
Japan s most famous animation studio s in the world and is known as the Disney
of Japan . It was founded June 15th, 1985 after the great success of Nausicaa of the
valley of the wind the studio is headed by directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao
Takahata even though they were uncertain as to whether the studio would find any
success or crash and burn they had a vision to blow a new wind through the anime
industry which was pretty ambitious to say the least but has certainly lived up to its
name. Hence the clever name given to the studio by Miyazaki himself, Ghibli means
hot wind blowing through the Sahara Desert . The name was used for Italian
scouting airplanes during World War II. Miyazaki, who has a great love for
airplanes, named his studio after it.
One thing that I think makes the studio stand out is not only its lovable characters
and its
44. Kill Shelters And Animal Abuse
Kill shelters and animal abuse are a big problem in society. Animals are equal to
people and they should be treated just the same. Animals do not deserve to be
treated harshly and they also do not deserve to live in horrible conditions. I believe
that animals have as much of a right as humans do, to be free of labor. The reality
is that all shelters, regardless of label, euthanize or send pets out to be euthanized.
All pets have the right to live even if their owner returned them. Kill shelters are
not the best place to send your pets off to. Many people do feel sad about pets and
other animals who get euthanized even if they are not theirs. Animals have made a
big impact on many people, so why don t people make a great impact on them too?
45. Stage To Lordsburg Character Analysis
asked, Did Gene kill him? Spade said, I don t know. I ve got to know, she cried.
(Too Many Have Lived) The author portrays Mrs. Haven as an emotionally weak
woman who is crippled by tragedy. She is seen as frantic and hysterical, which has
been a common theme in literature for centuries. For some time, hysteria was
thought to be a mental illness that exclusively affected women and linked
femininity to irrationality. (Little, Page 25) Gene! she exclaimed in a choked
voice and held her hands out toward him appealingly. I don t think you did I don t
want to think you did but I m so afraid. She put her hands to her face and began to
cry. (Too Many Have Lived) Just as the stereotype calls for, Mrs. Haven is seen as
emotional and vulnerable.
Even though she has suspicion that Gene may have
killed her husband, she still finds herself looking for comfort in a male figure, as she
cries and reaches out for his embrace. Gene portrays a strong, intelligent, and
manipulative man, and Mrs. Haven folds to his charm in her vulnerable state of
emotion and irrationality. This scene also uses symbolizes to identify the patriarchal
society of the time. In Stage to Lordsburg , one female character is shown as more
traditional and another is shown as an outlier. Henriette is shown as a pretty, elegant,
fragile, and nurturing woman. This idea that women are nurturers above all else, is
also a very common theme in global
46. Persuasive Essay On Legalizing Marijuana
Over the past few years legalizing medical and recreational marijuana has been a hot
political topic. Medical marijuana is legal in twenty states, and use of recreational
marijuana is legal in four states: Washington, Colorado, Oregon, and Alaska. It is also
legal to carry small amount of marijuana in Washington D.C. In this paper I will
discuss the history of marijuana in the United Statesof America and the ethical pros
and cons that are related to use of this plant for medical and recreational purposes.
Usage of marijuana both medically and recreationally in the United States dates back
to the nineteenth century. An article published by Ohio State University describes an
advertisement in Vanity Fair to illustrate the nations attitude towards marijuana in the
1800 s it reads The hashish candy advertised in an 1862 issue of Vanity Fair as a
treatment for nervousness ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even though marijuana usage was legal it was becoming increasingly hated
because many crimes were blamed on people were high on marijuana. By 1931,
the use of marijuana was banned in 29 states. During the 1930 s a lot of anti
marijuana propaganda was produced and political figures started to speak out
against marijuana. The film Reefer Madness is perhaps one of the most popular
pieces of propaganda from the time; this film depicts people smoking marijuana
then losing all control of themselves which leads to the death of one of the party
goers in the film. This propaganda combined with the lobbying of politicians like
Henry J. Anslinger, who headed the U.S. Treasury Department s Narcotics Bureau
from 1930 to 1962, lead to the passing of the 1937 Marijuana Tax Act, this act was
some of the first regulation placed on marijuana. By the early 1950 s federal law
prohibited using marijuana and anyone caught in possession of marijuana faced a

The Control Unit
There are two types of control unit which are hardwired and micro program where
hardwired are for fixed architecture and are typically RISC and cost more than micro
program because of the time required to design the circuits , but they are faster. Micro
program control units are slower than hardwired but are easier and cheaper to
implement as the instructions are stored in special control memory. The control unit
controls all data going in, out and inside the CPU. The control unit decodes the data
from ram and turns it into an instruction depending on what instruction set the control
unit is programed or hardwired to have. Then if the instruction involves any logic or

Personal Thinking Styles
The Life Styles Inventory (LSI) was designed to help assess effectiveness in
relationships on the job and support the development of interpersonal skills. This road
map to self development was the brainchild of Dr.Clayton Lafferty. This survey of
questions measures 12 key thinking styles, that are regarded to promote performance
change and improve personal understanding of how our thinking affects our behavior.
The 12 styles are categorized into three general clusters: Constructive, which includes
Achievement, Self Actualizing, Humanistic Encouraging, and Affinitive thinking
styles, Passive/Defensive, which includes Approval, Conventional, Dependent, and

Impact on Management Style
Most of my life, I have successful in maintain balance between my personal and
professional life. But as we all know, they overlap and are intertwined. Our
management styles whether good or bad reflect our ability to lead other. To be an
effective manager you must have the four basic management functions: 1) the ability
to Plan; 2) Organize; 3) Lead; and 4) Control.
Planning
I am not big on procrastination, so planning is very important to me. I need to know
the why, when, how, what to generate a plan and effectively execute it. There is
always that need to establish a goal and a plan of action to accomplish this. This is a
process that must be seen through to the end.
Organizing
No plan successful plan can be executed with proper organization. As a manager it
is imperative to be able to organize the plan for which a goal has been set.
Organization is very broad. For me, as long as there is a plan where it is personal
or in my professional environment, I strategically put resources in place, which will
best efficient way to accomplish the plan of action I set up.

Lutherie; the art of crafting stringed instruments is a skill that dates back to antiquity.
Since the creation of the lyre, luthiers have developed many stringed instruments,
such as the harp, the violin, and the lute, but, considerably, one of the most important
stringed instruments in modern times is the guitar. Guitarists are responsible for
shaping a sizeable bulk of modern musicvia their diverse methods of playing. And
this is because of how they are crafted. It truly is an art. What will it take to design a
guitar that produces a beautiful sound and is aesthetically pleasing to the eye?
As with every woodworking project, the place to start when building a solid body
electric guitar is with the wood. The wood used for the guitar helps the sound
resonate, so it is important that the wood is chosen carefully (of course it is always
interesting to see and hear guitars that are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

50. A Play At The Mixed Blood Theatre By Branden Jacobs
Jenkins
The play I went to go to see was called An Octoroon written by Branden Jacobs
Jenkins. I have never been to a play at the Mixed Blood Theatre, so I was very
excited to go and see this play. This play has been mentioned a lot lately by some
of my theatre professors, and they said it would be very interesting. They also
mentioned to not worry about the bunny too much, but I did. I am very glad I got
to see this unique play with its many interesting views. The beginning of the play
was very interesting in several ways. Firstly, the choice of dialect took me surprise
because of its vulgar nature. I personally enjoyed the use of speech because I find
it interesting when people use words freely when they are normally looked down
upon. The music that was played gave made another strong impression on me. The
title of the song was Bonfire by Childish Gambino, and it set a very interesting
mood. It definitely took me by surprise and I did not know how to react in that
situation. I just stared with my mouth open and tried to figure out why that song was
being played. Another thing that I found interesting was when the actors put makeup
and different clothes on in front of us. Seeing the actors start changing into new
characters right in front of me made me very intrigued about how people can break
the socially constructed ideas of how theatreworks.
The middle of the play made me confused for a good chunk of the time. The bunny
was beyond creepy and I tried to understand what its

Gender Roles: Hector in The Iliad In Homer s Illiad Hector, one of the primary
leaders of Trojan forces and also a prince of the fated city of Troy fulfills the male
gender expectations defined through prowess in war. However, male s heroism is
driven by the fear of shame and dishonor in war. Hector is an mortal character in
Homer s Iliadand all Hectorseeks is war glory, and he believes that one must die
with a cause. He fears the indignity that he believes will come should he not fight
nobly for his city of Troy but it is this way of thinking which steers Hector towards
his eventual death. Paris, Hector s brother actually was a counter example of the
drive behind male heroism. In Book three of the Iliad Paris stepped out of the... Show

With Zeus not currently not assisting Hector and the Trojans in the war, Hector
was temporarily decommissioned from the war because of an injury inflicted on
him by Ajax who knocked him out with a stone. Later on in Book fifteen Zeus sent
Apollo to bring strength back to Hector. When he eventually did rise he was
described as: A horse that has eaten barley in its stall / Breaking its halter and
galloping across the plain, / making for his accustomed swim in the river, / A
glorious animal, head held high, mane streaming / Like wind on his shoulders. Sure
of his splendor / He prances by the horse runs and he mares in pasture. (Book 15 lines

It was as if Hector took pride in the fact that he got hurt and was near death because
that is what war glory is all about. Obviously it was embedded in his soul to never
stop fighting and to continue helping Troy in the war because of his fear of shame
and dishonor in war, but the fact that he was near death and almost able to achieve
the goal of dying gloriously while fighting in war, is what drove him to fight even
more, so he could eventually achieve that goal. As readers, we would imagine that if
a character was told his/her fate, even though it is something is predetermined and
inevitable that character still might try change to alter their actions in an attempt to
change their fate, especially if they were told it

Delta has shown great support for human rights and has supported the rights of their
employees; their vision and decisions have had positive implications for their
business and managerial practices.
The founder of Delta, C.E. Woolman states, Happy Employees Make Happy
Customers Make Happy Shareholders (Kaufman, 2013, p.28). It is implicit that Delta
cares about their employees and understands the importance of carrying out and using
diversity practices within their business. Cultural diversity, gender diversity, and
human rights have been at the forefront of this company since the beginning; this
company has succeeded and overcome many challenges mainly because of their
strong commitment to not only their employees but to the rights of the human
condition.

Association, which is the largest pilot union in the world representing over 50,000
pilots in 31 American and Canadian airlines (Yamanouchi, 2015). Unions are
usually seen as being very beneficial to an employee. There are many repercussions
that come along with unionizing for both an employee and an employer. Unions are
losing their longstanding appeal for basic security needs to companies like Delta

Furthermore, if you are living abroad, try to find nation based communities. This is
very helpful because if the language is a problem for you, there will people who

They would have had the same questions you have right now, so don t hesitate to ask
for help. You will see, they will be willing to help. Moreover, you can join a religious
community such as churches, mosques, and synagogues. These faith based
communities have occasional gatherings where you can meet with other community

opportunities for abroad living people to surround themselves with people who share
same interests with them and spend good time together.
Secondly, exploring your new place is another way to lessen homesickness. When
you first move, you might feel like the outsider which causes homesickness to

54. Disadvantages Of Synchronous Transverter
Another advantage of the synchronous converter is that it is bi directional, which
lends itself to applications requiring regenerative braking. When power is transferred
in the reverse direction, it acts much like a boost converter.
The upsides of the synchronous buck converter don t come without cost. To start
with, the lower switch normally costs more than the freewheeling diode. Second, the
multifaceted nature of the converter is unfathomably expanded because of the
requirement for a reciprocal yield switch driver.
Such a driver must keep both changes from being turned on in the meantime, a blame
known as shootthrough . The most straightforward procedure for dodging
shootthrough is a period delay between the kill of S1 to the turn on ... Show more

three periods of this supply can be perceived by the three dark toroidal inductors in
the closer view. The littler inductor underneath the warmth sink is a piece of an info

The multiphase buck converter is a circuit topology where fundamental buck
converter circuits are put in parallel between the information and load. Each of the n
phases is turned on at equally spaced intervals over the switching period. This circuit
is typically used with the synchronous buck topology, described above.
This kind of converter can react to load changes as fast as though it exchanged n
times speedier, without the expansion in exchanging misfortunes that would bring
about. Subsequently, it can react to quickly evolving burdens, for example, present
day chip.
There is additionally a noteworthy diminishing in exchanging swell. Not exclusively
is there the reduction due to the expanded viable frequency,[4] but any time that n
times the duty cycle is an integer, the changing swell goes to 0; the rate at which the
inductor current is expanding in the stages which are exchanged on precisely
coordinates the rate at which it is diminishing in the stages which are turned

will store the image as a doubtful ballot paper . All doubtful ballot papers will be
referred to adjudication on screen by the Returning Officer s staff. If the counting

will be placed in a separate folder by the scanner operator for the Returning Officer

of ballot papers cast at the polling station. This process is known as verification ,

the latest image of a ballot paper that has been scanned will be stored on the

decisions being taken by count centre staff on doubtful ballot papers as they come
