Essay In Love
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Essay In Love" can be a challenging endeavor that delves into
the intricate and subjective nature of human emotions. Love, being a complex and multifaceted
concept, requires a nuanced exploration that demands a delicate balance between personal
reflection and scholarly analysis. The difficulty lies in capturing the essence of love, which often
defies easy definition or categorization.
The challenge intensifies as one attempts to navigate the vast ocean of literature, philosophy,
psychology, and cultural perspectives on love. The diversity of interpretations and experiences
necessitates a thorough understanding of the various dimensions of love, from romantic and
familial to platonic and self-love. Striking the right chord in conveying the depth and breadth of
this emotion requires a thoughtful selection of words and a keen awareness of the impact they
can have on readers.
Moreover, the subjective nature of love implies that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to
discussing it. The essayist must tread carefully to avoid generalizations while still providing a
comprehensive overview that resonates with readers on a personal level. Balancing personal
anecdotes, theoretical frameworks, and empirical evidence adds another layer of complexity to
the writing process.
The task is not only to articulate one's thoughts eloquently but also to connect with the audience
emotionally. A successful essay on love should evoke empathy, introspection, and perhaps even a
reevaluation of one's own experiences. Striving for this emotional resonance while maintaining
intellectual rigor requires a keen understanding of the target audience and an ability to bridge the
gap between academic discourse and personal connection.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Essay In Love" is a formidable task that
demands a blend of intellectual prowess, emotional intelligence, and a nuanced appreciation for
the diversity of human experiences. Aspiring essayists may find solace in seeking guidance or
support from experienced writers who can provide valuable insights and assistance in navigating
the intricate landscape of love and its myriad expressions. For those seeking such guidance, a

Lindow man was strangled, hit in the head and had his throat cut. Were these
people the victims of superstition? Were they human sacrifices? Lots of evidence
seems to point this way. The people who inhabited northern Europe at the time of
the bog bodies were extremely superstitious. They were the ones who invented the
boggymen , today s bogeyman. They believed spirits of Gods dwelled in tress and
watery places. Over 400 objects that were sacrificed to the Gods have been
recovered to the bogs, so it fits that people were sacrificed too. Sandra Olsen, curator
of anthropology at Carnegie Museum of Natural History, says Sacrifice was done to
curry favor with the gods for greater fertility for the crops, greater fertility for the
animals, and greater fertility for the women. On the flip side, sacrifice was also
done to appease the gods to prevent them from getting angry and inflicting
punishment such as famine or plagues. Several bodies showed other signs of ritual.
Heads had been shaved, and special meals consisting of charred bread and certain
pollens had been eaten just prior to death. When Romans began invading the British
Isle in 55 BC, they reported that Iron Age Celts often performed ritual sacrifices
during Beltain, a spring festival that occurred when mistletoe would have been in
bloom. During these celebrations, pieces of bannock bread including one charred
piece were doled out, and the soon to be lucky stiff who picked the

Digital Design Theories, Practices, and Technologies
Learning the fundamentals of Digital Media is essential to laying a solid
foundation to allow for a sturdy backing in digital design. Digital design theories,
practices, and technologies can provide designers a stable of skills to build core
competencies and over time wisdom. Mastering digital design fundamentals will
provide opportunity for career growth. Depending on the industry, an entry level
designer can rise from senior designer, to art director, and then creative director. As
digital media continues to mature, categorical design disciplines will continue to
evolve, shape, and style the visual culture. From magazines to web pages, the
spectrum of visual design will continue to move people everywhere on an emotional

Compare And Contrast Romeo And Juliet 1996 And 1996
The film and the play, Romeo and Juliet is an ever grey due to tragic over tones
play which draws undivided attention of Shakespeare s writing even during this
modern era. The 1996 version, Baz Lurhmann adopted the storyline to reflect the
revealing trend of dispute between two feuding families. A film which shows a
detailed study of the play of the immensely popular 1996 version directed by Baz
Lurhmann. Romeo and Juliet, though termed as tragedy, love is the dominating
and most vital theme of this play, the whole play is intertwined on the romantic
love between Romeo and Juliet at their first sight, though the love can be
considered infatuation love. In this play, the lovers deny the family and the entire

even after being sent in exile. Love becomes a force for every incident narrated in
the play. The lovers take impulsive decisions; by this, they go against the norms of
this world. Juliet has no words to explain her immense love But my true love is

to draw line between their love and other ties can be said as a vital reason for their
tragic end. The ingredients of family feud, immature teenage aspirations and the

Analysis Of The Estrangement By Jamaica Kincaid, My
Speech...
One s judgement of others is a commonality amongst all people; however, to admit
one is wrong about one s perceptions is infrequent. In both essays, The Estrangement
by Jamaica Kincaid, and My Speech at West Point by Marjane Satrapi in the book
The Writer s Presence, the writers make comment on their life experiences
particularly about their bad judgment of others and the impact that has had on them.
Kincaid s essay is about the rough relationship she had with her mother and how her
criticism of her changed after her experience as a mother. Similarly, Satrapi writes
about the pointin her life she began learning one she realizes that the view she had of
the people in her country was wrong during her time at West Point. Both provide...

Nevertheless, she accepts her mistake and learns from her experience by
acknowledging it, I don t know anything (Kincaid 249). Ultimately, Satrapi conveys
that there not only needs to be progress in her country, but in her thinking as well.
This brings to light how the only way to diminish social issues, our opinions need to
be altered.
Likewise, Kincaid wrongly judges her mother. In her essay, The Estrangement she
tells that she stopped talking to her mother after she spoke unkindly about her in a
conversation they had through the phone. She describes her mother as a person that
was seen as nice by others, but not by her nor her younger siblings. She asserts that
her mother, said horrible things to us more often than not and that the nice person
everyone saw in her was not at all known to us (Kincaid 170). In other words, her
mother was unaffectionate to them. A statement she makes evident when she tells
about the time his step father was buried next to her mother and her uncertainty of
whether he would have liked that based on her and her siblings preferences. She
claims, we would rather be dead than spend eternity lying next to her (Kincaid 170).
In other terms, they despised her mother for the treatment she gave them. However,
later in the text, there is a shift in tone: from hate to acknowledgement and love. Her
perception of her mother changes after she realizes how
The Change in Food Production in Pollan’s The
Ominvore’s...
Food production has changed drastically throughout the span of this country s history,
shifting from small scale farms into mega facilities that horde animals inhumanely. In
Pollan s The Ominvore s Dilemma, he showcases the transformative nature of food
production throughout the years, by emphasizing the commercialization and
industrialization aspects of this continual foodevolution. Though Pollan expresses his
opinions on modern day methods of food production and categorization of these
means of production, he experiences the dilemma that is commonly faced by many
individuals in this day and age. Therefore, he undergoes the endeavor to find the
solution to this national dilemma.
He poses the question: what should we have for dinner? ... Show more content on

Many consumers are not able to see where their food comes from, similarly to how
the corn no longer has the information of how it was produced. The change in food
production also is evident in the decline in personal nature via packaging. Two
centuries ago, people were able to purchase their corn from the farm where the corn
had been grown and most likely where they had developed a more personal linkage
with the farmer on a local level. Now, the connection between the source of consumer
s food production and the consumer itself are separated by thousands of miles,
lacking communication, acknowledgement, and awareness of the production process.
Pollan implements something as simple as a produce sack to showcase the reality
that modern day consumers are denied their right to know where and how their food
was developed, violating one foundation of food justice: the right to know what one
is eating.
A possible explanation for why food production has changed so much can be that its
consumers have also evolved as a society the commercialization of agriculture has
culminated this alteration within the industry. The consumer s desire to connect back
with their ancestors can be easily ascertained by going to healthier markets like
Wholefoods, among others. Pollan compares Wholefoods to a good quality
bookstore, filled with extensive nutritional vocabulary on their packaging. However,
much of it is not
The American Dream Is Everyone s Dream
I think the American Dream is everybody s dream. When Ralph Lauren, the
corporation, chose this quote from their respective patriarch as the basis for an
advertisement in October 2017 s issue of Esquire Magazine, they were making a bold,
blanket statement. They also made an assumption. While this advertisement uses
many traditional American stereotypes, portraying a sense of optimism and nostalgia
centered around civic nationalism, it makes a mistake in itsit s overly broad appeals
that render the ad ineffective; the American dream is not everyone s dream, it s not
even every American s dream. To make sense of this, one must define both The
American Dream and eEverybody within the context of this statement. The American

The Jeep is known as the vehicle that won World War II. The family represents the
idea that America is a place where one s children can grow up to maximize their full
potential. These items are all tied together by their identity within an American
context. Of these classic American stereotypes, the cowboy hat atop Lauren s head
carries with it as much nostalgia as nearly any other possible non government
affiliated symbol (i.e. the American Flag). The cowboy hat represents American
concepts such as the west, wide open spaces, and manifest destiny. A secondary
interpretation, which actually makes more sense in the context of the ad, being that
the form and shape of this hat renders itself much more commercial than functional,
is that the hat references the Golden Age of Hollywood, a time in 1950 s and 1960 s
America when Western film was at its height and every young boy in America
wanted to be John Wayne.
On an even deeper analysis, one may notice that the pose of Lauren in this
photograph bears a striking resemblance to a famous portrait of President Ronald
Reagan in his cowboy hat and work shirt. President Reagan is known, at least
among conservatives, as a champion of the free work. They revere him for his
economic policies that were pro capitalist and for his work to fight communism and
end the Cold War. The shape of their respective hats, the styles of clothing worn by
the two men, the angle at which the two photographs

Analysis Of Radha Krishna s Lovers Under A Futon By...
Romantic love remains one of the most importance themes in virtually all cultures
art; in Japanese and Indian art, although with different historical contexts and
therefore interpretations, continues to be no exception. Kitigawa Utamaro prevailed
as one of the most important artists under the ukiyo e genres, focusing on the beauty
of women in the hedonistic and rigidly organized Tokugawa period as it enjoyed
stability the island yearned for. Of an unknown artist of the Rajasthani school in
neighboring Madhya Pradesh, foreign powers from the Mughal Empire to the
Portuguese slowly encroached in India, yet managed to maintain its traditions in
Radha Krishnain its epic romance in Jayadeva s Gita Govinda. In Utamaro s Lovers

The print portrays a man and a woman under a futon, assumedly intimately. The soft
colors of pink and green of their clothes and of the mattress on them further affirm
the softness of the piece; they are lovers. Although the man s attire contrasts with
that of the woman, it is difficult to discern where their bodies apart. Just like how
the futon is both green and pink like the man and woman s robes respectively, the
piece is supposed to indicate a romantic union between the two. The patterns on the
futon and robe help add dimension to the print, which would later be reprinted for
the consumption of the merchant class in the Tokugawa period. It is particularly
important to note how Utamaro portrays the woman; women by Utamaro not only
had an idealized form with slender features, but she barely resembles the common
woman of the period with her impossible proportions. In direct contrast with the
realism movement and their aspiration in portraying people the way they truly are,
Utamaro s depiction of women and romance are dreamily hedonistic just like many
Vogue editorials. Lovers under a Futon is truly romantic, with a sense of equality
between the two people; she is not there to serve him or vice versa. Instead, the
couple is both enjoying

Analysis Of The Film Gravity
I want to start by recognizing that in my earlier film papers I have made the
mistake of summarizing all of the science in each of the films from start to finish.
By doing so my paper essentially became a summary of the film rather than an
explanation of the science found within it. To avoid repeating these mistakes I would
like to focus on a few scientific concepts that I found interesting in this film, Gravity.
The first, and likely most obvious is the conceptof surviving in space. Second, the
concept of floating freely in space. Third, the concept of decomposition in the zero
gravity atmosphere of space. And fourth, the part of the movie where lieutenant
Kowalski propels himself with a fire extinguisher. I believe that Isaac Newtons three
laws can help me to explain these concepts. Gravity was a thrilling film that showed a
situation in which astronauts were stranded in space without a spacecraft or any
means of communication. The surviving astronauts had to fight for their lives in
theoretically hardly survivable and unlivable conditions. The main dilemma, and
theme of the entire film, was the destruction of the International Space Station(ISS)
and most of the astronauts on board. Russia launched a missile into space to destroy
one of their satellites. This turned into a problem when the launch was successful, but
the target was missed and the mission failed. Debris was left spiraling through space
at a rapid pace. Dr. Ryan Stone survived the destruction along with
Evaluate the Significance of Agrippina s Marriages in Her...
Agrippina the Younger s three marriages were significant in her rise to prominence
as they all served her political advancement; protection from enemies, fortune and
eventually, power in politics. Her first marriage was to Gnaeus Domitius
Ahenobarbus, a man seventeen years her senior, described as a wholly despicable
character (Suetonius). Her second marriage was to Gaius Sallustius Passienus
Crispus, cut short by his death, but gaining her immense fortune. Her third and final
marriage was to her uncle, Emperor Claudius, giving her the political power she
craved, just as her mother did before her.
Agrippina s first marriage was at the age of 13, to Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus, 30
years old at the time. Gnaeus was born into a famous, ... Show more content on

The law at the time perceived their marriage as incestuous, as she was the daughter
of Claudius brother, Germanicus. Despite this, by the assistance of Vitellius (a friend
of Agrippina s in the Senate) appealing their union as commonplace in other countries
(even Roman) that the marriage was enacted in principle and practice. Tacitus says
that their marriage in AD49 marked a real turning point as Agrippina acquired power
beyond her wildest dreams.
Claudius, as emperor, was told it was politically necessary to have a partner, upon
Messalina s death, to help function and protect the Principate, one of few reasons
for his marriage to Agrippina. It was Pallas who presented Agrippina s case (as she
was an eligible woman) convincingly. Claudius could not ignore her ambitious
nature, the fact she was politically skilled, and importantly; a woman of the Julian
bloodline. Agrippina s motives were concentrated solely on herself, and her son, Nero
. Agrippina married her uncle in hope that Nero would inherit the Principate. She
wanted to promote her son to become emperor (Suetonius), and aspired for political
power for herself in regards to the Principate and Claudius. The power gave her the
ability to dispose of any enemies who got in her way.
Not only did she develop a reputation for running the Principate (acknowledging, and
avoiding Caligula s mistakes), she controlled

The Profession Of The Medical Field
I was introduced to the profession when I just started the nursing program. I
researched its history and the way the profession influenced the medical field. When I
started to work in the hospital as an RN I ve met many clinicians, including two
Physician Assistants. They were generous not only with the attention to their patients,
but were willing to answer questions regarding the scope of practice, the training, and
everything associated with the profession. Many nights we were working side by
side solving the mystery of our patients symptoms to prevent possible outcomes.
Unlike some providers these two PAs were always easily accessible and resourceful.
Since I ve learned about PA profession I wanted to become one. I want to play an
active role in my patients care, and be able to diagnose and monitor their status. I
want to prescribe medications and be able to perform many difficult procedures. I
want to become a clinician that have the knowledge and the training, and could be
easily reached by patients, their families and nurses.
When I started my academic career in the US, I ve had few stumbling blocks along
the way. At first, I was not aware of the GPA system and its impact to the future.
Once I decided to go to the nursing school where the prerequisites GPA was the
major influencer I changed my study habits and increased my grades.
In 2012, I had to drop out from school due to my husband s injury and work 3 jobs
to support our family. When I got accepted into the
The Importance Of Immigrants In Canada
Just as many immigrants are forced to quit their language training early due to
economic circumstances, many are also forced to abandon their country of origin
careers due to the economic hardship caused by the credential evaluation process. As
Guo (2013) noted, having had their education, work experience, knowledge of
English and/or French, and other abilities assessed in the application process, skilled
immigrants presumably arrive in Canadawell prepared to successfully establish
themselves as permanent residents of Canada (p. 34). Therefore, new immigrants
expect to have their skills put to use in Canada. However, a large number of newly
arrived doctors, engineers, lawyers, managers, and teachers end up unemployed or
underemployed, driving taxis or delivering pizzas in Canadian cities (Subedi and
Rosengberg, 2016, p. 58). One of the first things immigrants learn through the
British Columbia Newcomers Guide (2017) is that, in addition to being required to
upgrade their English skills to find employment, they have to have their credentials
assessed; for those who have non regulated credentials, it could take anywhere from
a few weeks to several months to assess their credentials; if they have credentials in
a regulated field, the assessment may cost several thousand dollars and the process
could be even longer (p. 78 79).
Not only is their credential recognition being challenged, but there is evidence
suggesting that Immigrants experience discrimination when it
Chemical Reactions And Gas Laws
Flatulence is often seen as an embarrassing occurrence that leads to shame and all
around is frowned upon in public. Despite its harsh reputation, flatulence is normal,
and everyone experiences it throughout his or her daily lives. Flatulence is directly
related to the world of chemistry, both involving chemical reactions and gas laws. In
the end, while flatulence might be the cause of smelly situations, it also shows that
chemistryis not limited to the laboratory, it is seen throughout the world, even in the
human body.
When people think of flatulence, they are often unaware that everything in the human
body is a direct result of another occurrence somewhere else in the human body. This
is referred to as the kinetic chain. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Overall, the microorganisms of the colon release gases, which then become
flatulence. Microorganisms are able to produce such gases due to enzymes within
their structures4. Along with the gases formed by microorganisms, one of the
main sources of gas within the body is due to the fact that people swallow air1, 3.
While this air is usually released from the body via belching, it can be a factor in
flatulence1. Overall, people tend to pass approximately 500 to 1500 mL per day, with
an average of flatulence occurring 10 20 times per day1.
One of the most important aspects of flatulence is the presence of the
microorganisms that break down the excess carbohydrates, lipids, sugars or proteins
that were not broken down in the small intestine1, 4,5. These microorganisms are
able to break down these molecules due to the presence of carbohydrate active
enzymes4. An enzyme is a catalyst to a chemical reaction, meaning the enzyme can
decrease the amount of time a reaction takes, yet it does not change in the reaction2,
4. For a carbohydrate active enzyme to work, the carbohydrate, or other molecule
attaches to the enzyme 2 4, at the activation site. From here, the enzyme is able to
lower the activation energy, which is the energy needed for that certain reaction2, 3.
Enzymes are able to lower the activation energy of a reaction due to the fact that
Rhetorical Irony In Ellen Goodman s The Working Man
Some people say that work comes before play. While this is mostly true, the real
implications of this expression can be monumental. The Working Man by Ellen
Goodman is about a man named Phil who died due to heart failure. Goodman
however, believes that this was not the true cause of death, instead being that he
worked himself to death. Phil put his work above all else, even at the expense of
his health and family life. Goodman has a very negative point of view on Phil s life,
viewing it is pointless and stupid. She uses several rhetorical devices throughout the
story to convey her negative attitude towards the way Phil lived his life, including,
sarcasm, irony, and repetition. Goodman places a lot of subtle sarcasm throughout
the story to emphasize her negative attitude toward Phil. Her sarcasm can easily go
unnoticed, looking like compliments, but it is actually poking fun at Phil. When
talking about Phil s children, Goodman sarcasm is often emphasized through her
use of quotes. For example, to emphasize the lack of Phil s family life, Goodman
refers to his son as His dearly beloved eldest of the dearly beloved children... Later in
the paragraph, she talks about Phil s three children, each of whom shows to have no
connection with their father. The oldest has to ask around the neighborhood to see
what his father is like, the daughter doesn t know enough about him to even have a
conversation with him, and the youngest states that his father lived there only as a

reason why I find this interesting is because while reading this passage I gained the

tricks to stretch the odds a little more in your favor and give you a little more of an

tours in Iraq, we used many of these same tricks. While conducting foot patrols at
night or night operation, we would tape our dog tags together along with placing tape
around any other metal that may have caused noise during movement. Additionally,
despite already having body armor, we would wear chest racks, which is similar to
the bandoliers, to give us a tactical advantage in speed and mobility over our enemy.
It was interesting to learn how many of the tactical movements that we learned

Social Drugs Medicines
1. Explain the terms social drugs and medicines.
People take social drugs to help them relax or occasionally give themselves the
feeling of having more energy (BBC 2013). Social drugs are also known as
recreational or non medicinal drugs. These types of drugs are used for recreational
purposes and without medical justification. There are two types of social drugs,
illegal and socially acceptable drugs. Illegal social drugs include heroin, cocaine,
cannabis and LSD. Examples of socially acceptable drugs are caffeine, nicotine and
alcohol. However, unlike social drugs, medicinal drugs are taken for the purpose of
treating, preventing and diagnosing a disease (Taylor and Reide 1998 p3). Examples

Impact Of Labor Force In The 21st Century
There is a great change going on in employment trend and labor force in the U.S. in
21st century because of aging, diversity immigrants and few other factors and it s a
dramatic change, from 1950 to 2050. This massive demographic change has an
impact on the number of people working or people looking for work. In the
beginning of 21st centurythe demand for laborforce has increased which is one of the
main source for growth and economic progress. Growth rate in population and
labor force has changed the trend in employment today compare to 1950. Today
more older people are working, its more diversified and more women are involved at
workplace. There are going to be significant changes in coming years compare to
past 50 years. For example, labor growth rate will be less than what we had in past 50
years. As per the Mitra Toossi s article A century of change: the U.S. labor force,
1950 2015 , The high growth rate of civilian labor force in the past 50 years will be
replaced by much lower growth rates in the next 50 years . The main reason to this
slowdown in growth of the labor force is high tech innovation which is reducing the
demand of traditional labor force.
Another demographic change in the employment trend is the change in gender
structure. We have seen more number of women at workplace compare past 50
years and their number at work place are increasing very fast. This change came
because of equal rights to women at workplace plus they are more involved with their

Internet of things is the interconnection of embedded computing elements which can
be uniquely identified and can be accessed from anywhere on this earth, anytime. The
interconnection of these embedded devises is expected to bloom automation in
almost all the fields. The future of internet aims at connecting all the physical things
from bicycles to cars to planes, all of these things taking active participation in the
exchange of information about themselves and about their surroundings. Internet of
things will give us access to all the information about a particular thing leading to
different innovative services and increase the efficiency and productivity of the
people and products. This paper studies the Internet of Things, the architecture of
Internet of Things, the elements in Internet of Things and the related technologies,
the applications, the current scenario and the future scope. Also, in details regarding
the application of Internet of Things in the field of traffic management is reviewed in
detail.
Introduction:
Today, we have cloud the digital universe of information freely available to us. The
current estimate of the amount of information is 4000 Exabyte in size . A good
analogy is 4000 Exabyte is roughly equivalent to a stack of books from the earth to

Abstract
Adam Walsh in his book Bringing Adam Home conveys different important
information concerning people and the society they dwell. This book is based on
Mathew Joe s experience in his investigation for the murder and abduction. The book
suddenly reveals the cases of abduction and murder that the world at large gets to be
no longer innocent wit.
Bring Adam Home is a definitive story about a six year old Adam Walsh who was

Secondly, Toole had detailed information concerning the crimescene that would only
be known by the killer. Thirdly, scores of eyewitnesses identified Toole as the killer.
The book outlines the tireless work done by the bereaved parents in search for
justice on behalf of other missing children. The main attraction of the book is the
investigation of the Hollywood Police Department that exposes the bulging of the
investigators that had previously worked on the case. Standiford and Matthews
carefully builds the case against the police. They provide details that contain
numerous leads that were disregarded during the initial investigation. These included
some obvious questions that were never asked, a number of crucial witnesses that
were ignored, and details concerning incomplete or falsified reports. In addition, the
fresh investigation of the investigators exposed evidence that was never examined
and a number of vital evidence that got lost.
The book exposes the most damning revelation concerning ignorance of the
Hollywood police on repeated confessions by a serial killer. The killer had detailed
information concerning the crime that was never made public. However, he was
never tried for the crime despite confessing to the boy s murder. The author does not
bend facts to show his artistic skills. He details factual information and is not self
consciously literary. The spilling of the narrative follows a

Kane, who was based on Hearst, was a very controversial newspaper tycoon. This
makes the film more dramatic people there are characters that either love Kane or
hate him. When Kane is caught in a love nest with s ainger, many more people
disapprove of him. Another aspect of this film is that it is in black and white. This
gives it a serious tone. The lighting they used also gave a dramatic effect. There is
a scene where two gentlemen are talking but you can see Kane dancing in the
reflection of the window. This reminds the audience that he is still important to the
scene even though he isn t directly involved. This In Citizen Kane, Welles is
attempting to expose the great influential political and social power that someone

Inner Conflict In Shakespeare s Hamlet
Hamlet, written by William Shakespeare around 1600, is a tragedy dramatizing the
revenge of Prince Hamlet. The play explores the inner conflict experienced by
Hamlet as he is faced with the task of avenging his Father s death. In the first scene
Hamlet is approached by a ghost, claiming to be his father. This sets into motion a
plan of revenge that will end in a bloodbath, as most of the major characters die.
Throughout Hamletthe protagonist struggles with inner conflict, stemming from his
inability to form his thoughts into action. Although it is assumed that Denmark finds
order in the end with the rise of Prince Fortinbras, the play is not resolved because
Hamlet is never able to understand the implications of death and he is not able to...

It was necessary for the court to fall apart completely eventually, so that the
government could be restored. Although the royal court falls apart in the end, it is
taken over and supposedly restored by Prince Fortinbras. This helps resolve the
play by giving the audience a sense of Denmark s future. However, the play is not
resolved because the concept of an afterlife is never defined in the context of the
play. The audience only has Hamlet s perception of death. Hamlet also lacks growth
as a character. Although he eventually gets justice for his father and kills Claudius,
he only acted because his hand was forced. According to Claudius plan, Hamlet was
supposed to die in the final act, meaning he wouldn t have gotten the chance to
avenge his father. Hamlet is never able to turn his thoughts into action, therefore
being a coward by his own definition as well as never developing as a character. The
only resolution comes from Prince Fortinbras taking over. The play lacks resolution
because the audience does not know if the end goal was met, That being, whether
Hamlet s revenge saved the King Hamlet. It is important that the play lacks resolution
because the audience is left out of important details that would change the meaning of
the play. The audience does not know if the ghostis real or just a figment of Hamlet s

Rapid Urbanization And Violent Conflicts
1.Introduction
There are numerous social, economic, cultural, and political issues that accompany
rapid urbanization. Concerns about rapid urbanization and violent conflicts have long
been uttered in different respects: mainly this concern have related to the capacity of
social orders to adjust to such development, and the likelihood that it may increase
urban violence and insecurity. And on the other hand, this has related to concerns that
growing political and social demands would inevitably follow the upsurge of masses
in urban centres (xxx, xxx). The assumption is that political and social questions that
accompany rapid urbanization could exceed the institutional capacity of a state and
yield disenchantment of migrants expectations ... Show more content on

Despite these results and the ebb and flow of academic interest for the issue, the
potential links between rapid urbanization and violent conflicts still deserve
consideration. The prospects that rapid urbanization can add to violence through a
multiplicative interactions with different elements have not yet sufficiently examined
(xxx, 54). This essay is, therefore, on the links between rapid urbanization and violent
conflicts: specifically the essay looks at the factors that interface between rapid
urbanization and violent conflicts with the main goal to answer the crucial question:
how rapid urbanisation results in violent behaviour? This essay is structured into four
parts. In the first part, introduction to this essay has presented. In the second part, the
circumstances that translate the occurrence of rapid urbanization into violent
conflicts will be explained. In the third part, the arguments and evidences on the link
between rapid urbanization and violent conflict will be discussed, and the final part,
fourth, will present the conclusion.
2.How rapid urbanization translate into violent conflicts?
According to Wayne Cornelius (xxx, xxx), there are three scenarios that would move
migrants into violent actions. The first scenario is related to the displacing from rural

College Education Is Not Worth The Education

Should they? Many people believe that College is worth the money and will
necessarily get you a higher paying job or a higher Quality job, but does it always?
College is good, but not going to College is the better route to take. Collegeeducation
is not worth the price of tuition. One reason not to go to College is the price of the
education. Another reason is that you can Hack College because you can do it by
teaching it to yourself. College can be very expensive, and some people can simply
not afford it. This is one of the main reasons why people are on the edge whether to
go to College or not. The average student loan is $27,000 . If you decide to College

Should Companies Invest in Virtual Mentors?
Turbocharge your career by cultivating multiple channels for information flow
Having a mentor has always helped with professional development and career
advancement, but in today s complex workplace, one mentor won t do. To spark
innovation and ideapreneurship, employees often require relevant information on
multiple areas of expertise in real time. That s why there is a need for multiple
mentors and expertise from various domains. The good news is the rapid expansion
of social media inside and outside companies has made it possible for aspiring
leaders to hone their craft from the very best experts in many domains via the internet
or Knowledge Management (KM) systems. They can become your virtual mentors.
That is the finding of a study we conducted (financially supported by The SHRM
Foundation) of HCL Technologies (HCL). The India based IT consulting
organization, has over 103,696 employees distributed globally across its very own
delivery centers and client sites. HCL encourages them to use the KM and social
collaboration system, internally referred to as Ask HCL, Edna, arKMedes and
MeMe, to help each other and share their expertise.
Today, you can follow and interact with experts on Twitter, blog and Q A sites such
as Quora and GitHub. In addition, organizations are investing time and money on

Family Guy Evaluation Argument.
Family guy is one of the most famous adult TV animation at the moment. The show
is based on an American Family living in Rhode Island. The father of the family is
called Peter Griffin and the mother is called Lois. The parents have two teenage
kids, namely Chris and Meg. They also have a dog named Brian. The dog is
particularly smart. The family has also adopted a mutant baby called Stewie who is
always trying to get rid of his parents and the children. However, Family guy is by far
the worst TV show to ever hit our screens if evaluated in terms of the quality of

Family Guy has been marked as racist in its delivery. The examples for this are
endless. Each of the over 2000 Family Guy episodes has some kind of racial joke.
An example is an episode featuring Brian on a date with an African American
woman. The date is filled with racist jokes right from the moment they met. Brian
starts by commenting on the color of her skin saying it s a very lovely color. When
the woman introduces herself as Mrs. Parks, Brian comments, like Rosa Parks. On
top of that, during the date, Brian says he loves all black people and if he could
take all the black people in the world, he would buy a farm and let them all just run
free (YouTube). Another example features a bar scene with a horse and an African
American man mocking each other. The horse asks rhetorically why there are very
few African American baseball players. He continues to state that is because they
are always stealing bases. Moreover, one week prior to Martin Luther King Day,
the show did a skit showing Martin as a lazy and ignorant janitor who loves to eat
fried chicken and watermelons. He then talks to his boss in an awkward old age
black accent. (Gildemeister). African American people are not the only target of their
racism. The show also does racist and stereotype jokes on Asians, Vietnamese,
Africans, Mexicans, Canadians, and Indians among others. An example is a quote by
Peter Griffin where he
African American Male Self Esteem Essay
African American men s experiences of racism are believed to contribute to low
self esteem (Utsey, Ponterotto, Reynolds, Cancelli, 2000). Yet researchers have
found evidence that suggests African Americans explicit self esteem is equal to that
of members of non stigmatized groups (Crocker Major, 1989). In contrast to
explicit self esteem, implicit self esteem is a spontaneous, automatic, and
unconscious evaluation of one s own worth (Baccus, Baldwin, Packer, 2004). In
addition, it is thought that social behavior operates in an unconscious manner
(Baccus et al., 2004). As a result, the question of whether it is mainly implicit self
esteem that influences social behavior has been raised and researched (Bosson,
Brown, Zeigler Hill, Swann, 2003). However, the role of implicit self esteem as an
influence of social behavior for African Americanmen is lacking a significant amount
of empirical research.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, some of these coping strategies have been found to be maladaptive (Utsey
et al., 2000). Maladaptive behaviors are actions or tendencies that hinder an
individual from adjusting to situations (Weiss, 1999). Maladaptive behavior can
range from minor to severe behaviors that are tolerable and safe to behaviors that are
disruptive, dysfunctional and harmful to the individual (Weiss, 1999). Additionally,
maladaptive behaviors are formed as a way of coping with emotional and mental
discomfort as well as anxiety, but the actions typically result in a compounding of the
problem. Examples of maladaptive behavior include substance abuse, attention
seeking behavior, perfectionism, materialism, and sex addiction (Weiss, 1999; Rice

Themes In The Invisible Man
The theme I chose for this novel is a young man searching for his identity and unsure
about where to turn to define himself.
The novel the invisible man is the story of a man who is searching for his
happenings coming up and now believes he is invisible to society. The narrator
makes clear that he is invisible clearly because people refuse to see him . The
narrator flares back to his own youth, recalling his judgment. He goes back to say
that he lives underground, channeling electricity aside from Monopolated Light and
Power Company by edging his apartment . The narrator describes a vision he had
while he was listening to Louis Armstrong, exploring back into the history of slavery.
He his introduced in an intangible voice , someone who has lost his specification
through the society . The narrator casts back on an earlier period of the 20th
century, encouraging that a newly educated black class felt guilty of a past that
was no flaw of its own. The narrator s grandfather emerged to be in this line hoping
to forget the history of slavery, but on his deathbed reveals that the struggle against
white oppression is still continuing . At first, the narrator cannot grasp that his
grandfather was fighting against oppression in his work he was compliant to white
men. But as he progresses as a student the denials of the system become more clear
it is not clear if white men wish for him to advance or not. The narrator s worldview
has become more complex.
William Mckinley Accomplishments
William Mckinley was elected as the 25th President of the United States on March
4th, 1897(Israel 89). He was very successful, having many accomplishments as
president, including leading America in the Spanish American War(Andrews). One
of his biggest impacts was the raising of tariffs to promote American
industry(Andrews). Many people were starting to throw their support behind
Mckinley, making him a very popular man. Everything looked like it was going
well for the President. With his popularity and success in his first term, he earned
himself one more, but after a short six months into his second term, his time as
president would be over. Everything ended for Mckinley on September 14, 1901,

It is where you give money for goods, time for experience, and life for death. This
is shown in many events of achieving happiness. A man by the name of Johnny
Barnes has given his time of spreading cheer to the people of Bermuda. His face is
always shining with smiles of love for the people, and he believes that he is meant
to share God s love as he states in the 2011 documentary, Mr. Happy Man. This
event shows a man who has given his pursuit of his own personal happiness for the
happiness of others. The end result is the overall enrichment of joy for their lives
and his. This life story has shown how giving off affection to other, will return that
affection back to the radiator of love. Another life has also taken this same path,
her name was Melissa Moody. She was a beautiful woman whose face was
disfigured after being run over by a truck. She describes her recovery process in
the 2011 documentary film, Happy, that she instead of trying to making herself feel
better, she tried to enrich the lives of her children. The outcome of this was, instead
of grief for her disfigurement, a pleasant period for her children and herself. This
event was the catalyst of this woman s happiness in her life. It has helped her in her
own happiness. This example of a crautestractic event s aftermath has shown instead
of focusing on one s happiness is less effective than focusing on other s happiness.

metabolic processes. With a faster metabolism, fats burn at a quicker rate and are not
deposited on the artery walls.
Hemp Oil Can Be Good For Diabetics: Due to its low carbohydrate and sugar
content, hemp oil is can be a great food additive for diabetics. The nutrients present
in it can help moderate blood sugar levels.
Hemp Oil Can Help Prevent Psoriasis: Psoriasis is caused by a deficiency of omega
6 fatty acids in the body. The fatty acids present in hemp oil help improve skin
oxygenation and hydration.
Hemp Oil Can Boost Your Immunity: Omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids also improve
immunity and regulate intestinal flora, thus building a natural barrier against
microbes and increasing the resilience of the body.
Hemp Oil Helps Prevent Demyelination Of Nervous System: Essential fatty acids are
necessary for a healthy cell membrane structure. They also prevent the demyelination,
the destruction of the myelin sheath (a membrane that protects the nerve cells).

Stream of Consciousness Novel
The Development of the Stream of Consciousness Technique in Modernist English
Fiction (with Special Reference to the Contributions of James Joyce and Virginia
Woolf)
Arpan Adhikary
The term stream of consciousness as applied in literary criticism to designate a
particular mode of prose narrative was first coined by philosopher William James in
his book Principles of Psychology (1890) to describe the uninterrupted flow of
perceptions, memories and thoughts in active human psyche. As a literary term,
however, it denotes a certain narrative technique used in novels in which the narrator
records in minute but somewhat abstract way whatever passes through his or her
conscious mind. The socalled stream of consciousness in a work of ... Show more

The style is highly allusive and Joyce deliberately confuses the narrative by making
a pastiche of the styles of several genres together while presenting the flows of the
continuous thoughts of the principal characters. Here for the first time Joyce also
employed the interior monologue which is deemed to be the purest form of the
stream of consciousness mode. In Joyce s third and last novel Finnegans Wake (1939)
the complexity of the stream of consciousness technique reaches its heights
necessitating the text s being one of the least read ones in any language. In this novel
Joyce used around forty languages other than English and presented an awkwardly
extensive range of literary, mythical, political and historical allusions while narrating
the one night dream sequence of the protagonist, a Dublin tavern keeper named
Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker. Apart from Joyce, Virginia Woolf also made
remarkable contribution to the development of the stream of consciousness mode in
the modernist English fiction. In Mrs. Dalloway (1925) Woolf presents the diverse
mental recourses of Clarissa Dalloway within the span of one single day, and in the
interior monologue of Mrs. Dalloway the narrative breaks with the realistic mode in
order to suit the inner reality of the narrator s psyche which is different from the
external reality by which she is surrounded. Similar intellectual cogency and finer

Son of Sam Agree or Disagree
Son of Sam Law
Agree or Disagree?
Abstract
Son of Sam Law Should convicted criminals be able to profit from their crime? If a
person is convicted of murdering an individual and writes a book to tell their story,
they should not be able to earn money from the profit of their book. Some people
believe that it can be a good way to earn money for the criminal s defense, while
othersmaintain that any money earned should be given to the victim s family or even
create some type of trust account for future victims or programs to help others.
Son of Sam Law While watching the news the other day, I caught a story about a
criminal who wanted to make a movie about his crime. My first thought was, No
way! . That is horrible for someone ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many believe that the Son of Sam Law goes against the fundamentals of the First
Amendment of the US Constitution. Another opposing belief is that if a person is
convicted of a crime can be compensated for telling their story they will be able
financially to take care of their family members. If anyone is to profit from a crime
it should be the victim or their loved ones. Some victims may need financial help
paying for medical expenses or even day to day living expenses depending on the
level of injury they have. Another solution could be that all proceeds from a book
or movie, etc. could be placed in a victim s assistance account to help all victims and
their families.I will not buy anything that has been written by a convicted criminal if
the criminal is the person to receive the profits. There have been stories that have
been told in the past that I refuse to pay for.
Currently there is a case in the California Supreme Court Frank Sinatra, Jr. v Barry
Keenen over the kidnapping of Sinatra, Jr. that happened over forty years. Keenen
served his time for kidnapping Sinatra, Jr. and receiving $240,000.00 from Frank
Sinatra, Sr. in 1963. (Sealey, 2012). The California Supreme Court is deciding
whether Keenen or Sinatra, Jr. can receive any money for telling the story of
kidnapping Frank Sinatra, Jr. Keenen believes that it is his story to tell and Sinatra,
Jr. feels that as the victim he should be compensated.

for the foods you eat? b.If so the major problem with it is how animals themselves

Bullying Chapter Summary
. I am interested in this topic because I feel like I can relate to the main character,
Jodee and what she goes through. 3. The purpose of reading this book is to
understand what it is like to be bullied, an outcast and the effects of getting picked
on and shut out. People, especially teenagers, should read this book to understand
what kids go through, and what they could be doing to their fellow peers and how
bad it really is to be bullied.
4. The theme of this book is when kids bully or pick on other kids they think it s a
joke. No one is hurt but it affects them for a long time, and after time the bully s

is attacked by a boy a teacher see and she want the boy to get in trouble. The
teacher says If I give him detention, you re going to be labeled a tattletale. In the
real world, we must learn to fight are own battles (Blanco 70). The bulling got even
worse because she could not tell the teacher. When you get bullied you can get
sick. Your daughter is experiencing stress related symptoms. That is one of the
reasons she is so often (Blanco 82). When you do not speak up it only gets worse.

the rubber room, you know, where the mentals are (Blanco 156). This teacher does
not care for the special ed, all he cares about is how his students think about him. In
Greece, most restaurants are small and do not have menus. I ask him for a menu.

How The Black Plague Affected The World From 1558 To
1551
During Shakespeare s era, war, Kings and Queens, and dynasties influenced the
important events that happened around the world from 1558 through 1603. Many
new Kings and Queens of countries were elected to run their countries. Through
out the era diseases such as the black plague affected many peoples lives. A lot of
countries had to go through war to declare their own countries and how much land
will be under their names. Without certain people and important events that
happened during the Shakespeare s era the history back in the day would be
totally different. For the first fifteen years from 1558 1573 a lot of events broke out
in Europe. It all starts off in 1558. England had much of France back in the day, but
in 1558 that changed. The last piece of territory England had in France, Calais, they
lost possession to (Alchin 8). Queen Mary I died on November 17, 1558. This was a
big loss for England as she was... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
King Henry IV needed help from Queen Elizabeth in 1591, so she sends them help
(Alchin 13). Henry IV decided to declare war on Spain in 1595. Sadly on January
28, 1596 the great sailor Francis Drake dies at sea due to the plague (Alchin 16).
The Shakespeare Era comes to and end in 1603 as Queen Elizabeth I dies on
March 23, 1603. The last fifteen years were not as eventful as the first thirty years
were, but this is where the whole era ends and moves on to a new one. A lot of
important events happened around the world during Shakespeare s time period. In
the thirty years a lot of war went down, new Kings and Queens were named, and
many dynasties were formed. War had to had happen in order to resolve problems
between countries. No matter how much a country could talk it out it won t matter
until they fight for it. Without the Kings and Queens every country would have been
at a different state at the time. All these important events shaped up what happened
during the Shakespeare s
Analysis Of The Basque-American Indian Pidgin
The Basque American Indian pidgin found in the north eastern part of North America
was first documented in the early seventeenth century. Although it is believed to have
first been used in the sixteenth century, this was the first time that there was recorded
documentation of someone experiencing the pidgin. The pidgin was created between
the Basque peopleof Spainand France and the American Indian people of North
America. The pidgin is believed to be composed from a lot of Basque words and
influence and the different languages the native people spoke. The native people
spoke variations of the Algonquian language, and their influence is also seen in the
pidgin. The pidgin was mostly spoken between the Basque people and the native
people, although the native people also used it when speaking to visiting
Frenchmen. The Basque people were mostly seafarers and sheepherders, while the
native people were mostly hunters and farmers. When these the two groups met it
was usually to conduct trade of some sort. The Basque American Indian pidgin was
a pidgin used to help the Basque people and the native people to communicate.
Before going into the linguistic portion of the analysis, we need to talk about the
pidgin itself and how it came to be. That is; what the superstrate and the substrate of
the pidgin are. Based on my analysis of the phonology, morphology, and lexicon I
have come to the conclusion that the superstrate of the pidgin was the Basque
language. This

Essay In Love. Essay on Love for School Students and Children PDF Download

  • 1. Essay In Love Crafting an essay on the topic of "Essay In Love" can be a challenging endeavor that delves into the intricate and subjective nature of human emotions. Love, being a complex and multifaceted concept, requires a nuanced exploration that demands a delicate balance between personal reflection and scholarly analysis. The difficulty lies in capturing the essence of love, which often defies easy definition or categorization. The challenge intensifies as one attempts to navigate the vast ocean of literature, philosophy, psychology, and cultural perspectives on love. The diversity of interpretations and experiences necessitates a thorough understanding of the various dimensions of love, from romantic and familial to platonic and self-love. Striking the right chord in conveying the depth and breadth of this emotion requires a thoughtful selection of words and a keen awareness of the impact they can have on readers. Moreover, the subjective nature of love implies that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to discussing it. The essayist must tread carefully to avoid generalizations while still providing a comprehensive overview that resonates with readers on a personal level. Balancing personal anecdotes, theoretical frameworks, and empirical evidence adds another layer of complexity to the writing process. The task is not only to articulate one's thoughts eloquently but also to connect with the audience emotionally. A successful essay on love should evoke empathy, introspection, and perhaps even a reevaluation of one's own experiences. Striving for this emotional resonance while maintaining intellectual rigor requires a keen understanding of the target audience and an ability to bridge the gap between academic discourse and personal connection. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Essay In Love" is a formidable task that demands a blend of intellectual prowess, emotional intelligence, and a nuanced appreciation for the diversity of human experiences. Aspiring essayists may find solace in seeking guidance or support from experienced writers who can provide valuable insights and assistance in navigating the intricate landscape of love and its myriad expressions. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lindow man was strangled, hit in the head and had his throat cut. Were these people the victims of superstition? Were they human sacrifices? Lots of evidence seems to point this way. The people who inhabited northern Europe at the time of the bog bodies were extremely superstitious. They were the ones who invented the boggymen , today s bogeyman. They believed spirits of Gods dwelled in tress and watery places. Over 400 objects that were sacrificed to the Gods have been recovered to the bogs, so it fits that people were sacrificed too. Sandra Olsen, curator of anthropology at Carnegie Museum of Natural History, says Sacrifice was done to curry favor with the gods for greater fertility for the crops, greater fertility for the animals, and greater fertility for the women. On the flip side, sacrifice was also done to appease the gods to prevent them from getting angry and inflicting punishment such as famine or plagues. Several bodies showed other signs of ritual. Heads had been shaved, and special meals consisting of charred bread and certain pollens had been eaten just prior to death. When Romans began invading the British Isle in 55 BC, they reported that Iron Age Celts often performed ritual sacrifices during Beltain, a spring festival that occurred when mistletoe would have been in bloom. During these celebrations, pieces of bannock bread including one charred piece were doled out, and the soon to be lucky stiff who picked the

Compare And Contrast Romeo And Juliet 1996 And 1996 The film and the play, Romeo and Juliet is an ever grey due to tragic over tones play which draws undivided attention of Shakespeare s writing even during this modern era. The 1996 version, Baz Lurhmann adopted the storyline to reflect the revealing trend of dispute between two feuding families. A film which shows a detailed study of the play of the immensely popular 1996 version directed by Baz Lurhmann. Romeo and Juliet, though termed as tragedy, love is the dominating and most vital theme of this play, the whole play is intertwined on the romantic love between Romeo and Juliet at their first sight, though the love can be considered infatuation love. In this play, the lovers deny the family and the entire world and proceed with their marriage Or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, I And I ll no longer be a Capulet Romeo abandons his close friends, Mercutio and Benvolio and even risks his life and returns to Verona for the sake of his lady love even after being sent in exile. Love becomes a force for every incident narrated in the play. The lovers take impulsive decisions; by this, they go against the norms of this world. Juliet has no words to explain her immense love But my true love is grown to such excess / I cannot sum up some of half my wealth Their incompetence to draw line between their love and other ties can be said as a vital reason for their tragic end. The ingredients of family feud, immature teenage aspirations and the raging love between the
  • 5. Analysis Of The Estrangement By Jamaica Kincaid, My Speech... One s judgement of others is a commonality amongst all people; however, to admit one is wrong about one s perceptions is infrequent. In both essays, The Estrangement by Jamaica Kincaid, and My Speech at West Point by Marjane Satrapi in the book The Writer s Presence, the writers make comment on their life experiences particularly about their bad judgment of others and the impact that has had on them. Kincaid s essay is about the rough relationship she had with her mother and how her criticism of her changed after her experience as a mother. Similarly, Satrapi writes about the pointin her life she began learning one she realizes that the view she had of the people in her country was wrong during her time at West Point. Both provide... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nevertheless, she accepts her mistake and learns from her experience by acknowledging it, I don t know anything (Kincaid 249). Ultimately, Satrapi conveys that there not only needs to be progress in her country, but in her thinking as well. This brings to light how the only way to diminish social issues, our opinions need to be altered. Likewise, Kincaid wrongly judges her mother. In her essay, The Estrangement she tells that she stopped talking to her mother after she spoke unkindly about her in a conversation they had through the phone. She describes her mother as a person that was seen as nice by others, but not by her nor her younger siblings. She asserts that her mother, said horrible things to us more often than not and that the nice person everyone saw in her was not at all known to us (Kincaid 170). In other words, her mother was unaffectionate to them. A statement she makes evident when she tells about the time his step father was buried next to her mother and her uncertainty of whether he would have liked that based on her and her siblings preferences. She claims, we would rather be dead than spend eternity lying next to her (Kincaid 170). In other terms, they despised her mother for the treatment she gave them. However, later in the text, there is a shift in tone: from hate to acknowledgement and love. Her perception of her mother changes after she realizes how
  • 6. The Change in Food Production in Pollan’s The Ominvore’s... Food production has changed drastically throughout the span of this country s history, shifting from small scale farms into mega facilities that horde animals inhumanely. In Pollan s The Ominvore s Dilemma, he showcases the transformative nature of food production throughout the years, by emphasizing the commercialization and industrialization aspects of this continual foodevolution. Though Pollan expresses his opinions on modern day methods of food production and categorization of these means of production, he experiences the dilemma that is commonly faced by many individuals in this day and age. Therefore, he undergoes the endeavor to find the solution to this national dilemma. He poses the question: what should we have for dinner? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many consumers are not able to see where their food comes from, similarly to how the corn no longer has the information of how it was produced. The change in food production also is evident in the decline in personal nature via packaging. Two centuries ago, people were able to purchase their corn from the farm where the corn had been grown and most likely where they had developed a more personal linkage with the farmer on a local level. Now, the connection between the source of consumer s food production and the consumer itself are separated by thousands of miles, lacking communication, acknowledgement, and awareness of the production process. Pollan implements something as simple as a produce sack to showcase the reality that modern day consumers are denied their right to know where and how their food was developed, violating one foundation of food justice: the right to know what one is eating. A possible explanation for why food production has changed so much can be that its consumers have also evolved as a society the commercialization of agriculture has culminated this alteration within the industry. The consumer s desire to connect back with their ancestors can be easily ascertained by going to healthier markets like Wholefoods, among others. Pollan compares Wholefoods to a good quality bookstore, filled with extensive nutritional vocabulary on their packaging. However, much of it is not
  • 7. The American Dream Is Everyone s Dream I think the American Dream is everybody s dream. When Ralph Lauren, the corporation, chose this quote from their respective patriarch as the basis for an advertisement in October 2017 s issue of Esquire Magazine, they were making a bold, blanket statement. They also made an assumption. While this advertisement uses many traditional American stereotypes, portraying a sense of optimism and nostalgia centered around civic nationalism, it makes a mistake in itsit s overly broad appeals that render the ad ineffective; the American dream is not everyone s dream, it s not even every American s dream. To make sense of this, one must define both The American Dream and eEverybody within the context of this statement. The American Dream may... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Jeep is known as the vehicle that won World War II. The family represents the idea that America is a place where one s children can grow up to maximize their full potential. These items are all tied together by their identity within an American context. Of these classic American stereotypes, the cowboy hat atop Lauren s head carries with it as much nostalgia as nearly any other possible non government affiliated symbol (i.e. the American Flag). The cowboy hat represents American concepts such as the west, wide open spaces, and manifest destiny. A secondary interpretation, which actually makes more sense in the context of the ad, being that the form and shape of this hat renders itself much more commercial than functional, is that the hat references the Golden Age of Hollywood, a time in 1950 s and 1960 s America when Western film was at its height and every young boy in America wanted to be John Wayne. On an even deeper analysis, one may notice that the pose of Lauren in this photograph bears a striking resemblance to a famous portrait of President Ronald Reagan in his cowboy hat and work shirt. President Reagan is known, at least among conservatives, as a champion of the free work. They revere him for his economic policies that were pro capitalist and for his work to fight communism and end the Cold War. The shape of their respective hats, the styles of clothing worn by the two men, the angle at which the two photographs

  • 9. Analysis Of Radha Krishna s Lovers Under A Futon By... Romantic love remains one of the most importance themes in virtually all cultures art; in Japanese and Indian art, although with different historical contexts and therefore interpretations, continues to be no exception. Kitigawa Utamaro prevailed as one of the most important artists under the ukiyo e genres, focusing on the beauty of women in the hedonistic and rigidly organized Tokugawa period as it enjoyed stability the island yearned for. Of an unknown artist of the Rajasthani school in neighboring Madhya Pradesh, foreign powers from the Mughal Empire to the Portuguese slowly encroached in India, yet managed to maintain its traditions in Radha Krishnain its epic romance in Jayadeva s Gita Govinda. In Utamaro s Lovers under a Futon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The print portrays a man and a woman under a futon, assumedly intimately. The soft colors of pink and green of their clothes and of the mattress on them further affirm the softness of the piece; they are lovers. Although the man s attire contrasts with that of the woman, it is difficult to discern where their bodies apart. Just like how the futon is both green and pink like the man and woman s robes respectively, the piece is supposed to indicate a romantic union between the two. The patterns on the futon and robe help add dimension to the print, which would later be reprinted for the consumption of the merchant class in the Tokugawa period. It is particularly important to note how Utamaro portrays the woman; women by Utamaro not only had an idealized form with slender features, but she barely resembles the common woman of the period with her impossible proportions. In direct contrast with the realism movement and their aspiration in portraying people the way they truly are, Utamaro s depiction of women and romance are dreamily hedonistic just like many Vogue editorials. Lovers under a Futon is truly romantic, with a sense of equality between the two people; she is not there to serve him or vice versa. Instead, the couple is both enjoying

  • 11. Analysis Of The Film Gravity I want to start by recognizing that in my earlier film papers I have made the mistake of summarizing all of the science in each of the films from start to finish. By doing so my paper essentially became a summary of the film rather than an explanation of the science found within it. To avoid repeating these mistakes I would like to focus on a few scientific concepts that I found interesting in this film, Gravity. The first, and likely most obvious is the conceptof surviving in space. Second, the concept of floating freely in space. Third, the concept of decomposition in the zero gravity atmosphere of space. And fourth, the part of the movie where lieutenant Kowalski propels himself with a fire extinguisher. I believe that Isaac Newtons three laws can help me to explain these concepts. Gravity was a thrilling film that showed a situation in which astronauts were stranded in space without a spacecraft or any means of communication. The surviving astronauts had to fight for their lives in theoretically hardly survivable and unlivable conditions. The main dilemma, and theme of the entire film, was the destruction of the International Space Station(ISS) and most of the astronauts on board. Russia launched a missile into space to destroy one of their satellites. This turned into a problem when the launch was successful, but the target was missed and the mission failed. Debris was left spiraling through space at a rapid pace. Dr. Ryan Stone survived the destruction along with

Agrippina the Younger s three marriages were significant in her rise to prominence as they all served her political advancement; protection from enemies, fortune and eventually, power in politics. Her second marriage was to Gaius Sallustius Passienus Crispus, cut short by his death, but gaining her immense fortune. Her third and final marriage was to her uncle, Emperor Claudius, giving her the political power she craved, just as her mother did before her. Tacitus says that their marriage in AD49 marked a real turning point as Agrippina acquired power beyond her wildest dreams. Claudius, as emperor, was told it was politically necessary to have a partner, upon Messalina s death, to help function and protect the Principate, one of few reasons for his marriage to Agrippina. It was Pallas who presented Agrippina s case (as she was an eligible woman) convincingly. Claudius could not ignore her ambitious nature, the fact she was politically skilled, and importantly; a woman of the Julian bloodline. Agrippina s motives were concentrated solely on herself, and her son, Nero . Agrippina married her uncle in hope that Nero would inherit the Principate. She wanted to promote her son to become emperor (Suetonius), and aspired for political power for herself in regards to the Principate and Claudius. The power gave her the ability to dispose of any enemies who got in her way. Not only did she develop a reputation for running the Principate (acknowledging, and avoiding Caligula s mistakes), she controlled

I researched its history and the way the profession influenced the medical field. When I started to work in the hospital as an RN I ve met many clinicians, including two Physician Assistants. They were generous not only with the attention to their patients, but were willing to answer questions regarding the scope of practice, the training, and everything associated with the profession. Many nights we were working side by side solving the mystery of our patients symptoms to prevent possible outcomes. Unlike some providers these two PAs were always easily accessible and resourceful. Since I ve learned about PA profession I wanted to become one. I want to play an active role in my patients care, and be able to diagnose and monitor their status. The Importance Of Immigrants In Canada Just as many immigrants are forced to quit their language training early due to economic circumstances, many are also forced to abandon their country of origin careers due to the economic hardship caused by the credential evaluation process. As Guo (2013) noted, having had their education, work experience, knowledge of English and/or French, and other abilities assessed in the application process, skilled immigrants presumably arrive in Canadawell prepared to successfully establish themselves as permanent residents of Canada (p. 34). Therefore, new immigrants expect to have their skills put to use in Canada. However, a large number of newly arrived doctors, engineers, lawyers, managers, and teachers end up unemployed or underemployed, driving taxis or delivering pizzas in Canadian cities (Subedi and Rosengberg, 2016, p. 58). One of the first things immigrants learn through the British Columbia Newcomers Guide (2017) is that, in addition to being required to upgrade their English skills to find employment, they have to have their credentials assessed; for those who have non regulated credentials, it could take anywhere from a few weeks to several months to assess their credentials; if they have credentials in a regulated field, the assessment may cost several thousand dollars and the process could be even longer (p. 78 79). Not only is their credential recognition being challenged, but there is evidence suggesting that Immigrants experience discrimination when it

In the end, while flatulence might be the cause of smelly situations, it also shows that chemistryis not limited to the laboratory, it is seen throughout the world, even in the human body. Microorganisms are able to produce such gases due to enzymes within their structures4. Along with the gases formed by microorganisms, one of the main sources of gas within the body is due to the fact that people swallow air1, 3. While this air is usually released from the body via belching, it can be a factor in flatulence1. Overall, people tend to pass approximately 500 to 1500 mL per day, with an average of flatulence occurring 10 20 times per day1. One of the most important aspects of flatulence is the presence of the microorganisms that break down the excess carbohydrates, lipids, sugars or proteins that were not broken down in the small intestine1, 4,5. These microorganisms are able to break down these molecules due to the presence of carbohydrate active enzymes4. An enzyme is a catalyst to a chemical reaction, meaning the enzyme can decrease the amount of time a reaction takes, yet it does not change in the reaction2, 4. For a carbohydrate active enzyme to work, the carbohydrate, or other molecule attaches to the enzyme 2 4, at the activation site. From here, the enzyme is able to lower the activation energy, which is the energy needed for that certain reaction2, 3. Enzymes are able to lower the activation energy of a reaction due to the fact that
  • 17. Rhetorical Irony In Ellen Goodman s The Working Man Some people say that work comes before play. While this is mostly true, the real implications of this expression can be monumental. The Working Man by Ellen Goodman is about a man named Phil who died due to heart failure. Goodman however, believes that this was not the true cause of death, instead being that he worked himself to death. Phil put his work above all else, even at the expense of his health and family life. Goodman has a very negative point of view on Phil s life, viewing it is pointless and stupid. She uses several rhetorical devices throughout the story to convey her negative attitude towards the way Phil lived his life, including, sarcasm, irony, and repetition. Goodman places a lot of subtle sarcasm throughout the story to emphasize her negative attitude toward Phil. Her sarcasm can easily go unnoticed, looking like compliments, but it is actually poking fun at Phil. When talking about Phil s children, Goodman sarcasm is often emphasized through her use of quotes. For example, to emphasize the lack of Phil s family life, Goodman refers to his son as His dearly beloved eldest of the dearly beloved children... Later in the paragraph, she talks about Phil s three children, each of whom shows to have no connection with their father. The oldest has to ask around the neighborhood to see what his father is like, the daughter doesn t know enough about him to even have a conversation with him, and the youngest states that his father lived there only as a

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Family Guy has been marked as racist in its delivery. The examples for this are endless. Each of the over 2000 Family Guy episodes has some kind of racial joke. An example is an episode featuring Brian on a date with an African American woman. The date is filled with racist jokes right from the moment they met. Brian starts by commenting on the color of her skin saying it s a very lovely color. When the woman introduces herself as Mrs. Parks, Brian comments, like Rosa Parks. On top of that, during the date, Brian says he loves all black people and if he could take all the black people in the world, he would buy a farm and let them all just run free (YouTube). Another example features a bar scene with a horse and an African American man mocking each other. The horse asks rhetorically why there are very few African American baseball players. He continues to state that is because they are always stealing bases. Moreover, one week prior to Martin Luther King Day, the show did a skit showing Martin as a lazy and ignorant janitor who loves to eat fried chicken and watermelons. He then talks to his boss in an awkward old age black accent. (Gildemeister). African American people are not the only target of their racism. The show also does racist and stereotype jokes on Asians, Vietnamese, Africans, Mexicans, Canadians, and Indians among others. An example is a quote by Peter Griffin where he
  • 34. African American Male Self Esteem Essay African American men s experiences of racism are believed to contribute to low self esteem (Utsey, Ponterotto, Reynolds, Cancelli, 2000). Yet researchers have found evidence that suggests African Americans explicit self esteem is equal to that of members of non stigmatized groups (Crocker Major, 1989). In contrast to explicit self esteem, implicit self esteem is a spontaneous, automatic, and unconscious evaluation of one s own worth (Baccus, Baldwin, Packer, 2004). In addition, it is thought that social behavior operates in an unconscious manner (Baccus et al., 2004). As a result, the question of whether it is mainly implicit self esteem that influences social behavior has been raised and researched (Bosson, Brown, Zeigler Hill, Swann, 2003). However, the role of implicit self esteem as an influence of social behavior for African Americanmen is lacking a significant amount of empirical research.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The novel the invisible man is the story of a man who is searching for his happenings coming up and now believes he is invisible to society. The narrator makes clear that he is invisible clearly because people refuse to see him . The narrator flares back to his own youth, recalling his judgment. He goes back to say that he lives underground, channeling electricity aside from Monopolated Light and Power Company by edging his apartment . The narrator describes a vision he had while he was listening to Louis Armstrong, exploring back into the history of slavery. He his introduced in an intangible voice , someone who has lost his specification through the society . The narrator casts back on an earlier period of the 20th century, encouraging that a newly educated black class felt guilty of a past that was no flaw of its own. The narrator s grandfather emerged to be in this line hoping to forget the history of slavery, but on his deathbed reveals that the struggle against white oppression is still continuing . At first, the narrator cannot grasp that his grandfather was fighting against oppression in his work he was compliant to white men. But as he progresses as a student the denials of the system become more clear it is not clear if white men wish for him to advance or not. The narrator s worldview has become more complex.

Stream of Consciousness Novel The Development of the Stream of Consciousness Technique in Modernist English Fiction (with Special Reference to the Contributions of James Joyce and Virginia Woolf) Arpan Adhikary The term stream of consciousness as applied in literary criticism to designate a particular mode of prose narrative was first coined by philosopher William James in his book Principles of Psychology (1890) to describe the uninterrupted flow of perceptions, memories and thoughts in active human psyche. As a literary term, however, it denotes a certain narrative technique used in novels in which the narrator records in minute but somewhat abstract way whatever passes through his or her conscious mind. The style is highly allusive and Joyce deliberately confuses the narrative by making a pastiche of the styles of several genres together while presenting the flows of the continuous thoughts of the principal characters. Here for the first time Joyce also employed the interior monologue which is deemed to be the purest form of the stream of consciousness mode. In Joyce s third and last novel Finnegans Wake (1939) the complexity of the stream of consciousness technique reaches its heights necessitating the text s being one of the least read ones in any language. In this novel Joyce used around forty languages other than English and presented an awkwardly extensive range of literary, mythical, political and historical allusions while narrating the one night dream sequence of the protagonist, a Dublin tavern keeper named Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker. Apart from Joyce, Virginia Woolf also made remarkable contribution to the development of the stream of consciousness mode in the modernist English fiction. In Mrs. Dalloway (1925) Woolf presents the diverse mental recourses of Clarissa Dalloway within the span of one single day, and in the interior monologue of Mrs. Dalloway the narrative breaks with the realistic mode in order to suit the inner reality of the narrator s psyche which is different from the external reality by which she is surrounded. Although it is believed to have first been used in the sixteenth century, this was the first time that there was recorded documentation of someone experiencing the pidgin. The pidgin was created between the Basque peopleof Spainand France and the American Indian people of North America. The pidgin is believed to be composed from a lot of Basque words and influence and the different languages the native people spoke. The native people spoke variations of the Algonquian language, and their influence is also seen in the pidgin. The pidgin was mostly spoken between the Basque people and the native people, although the native people also used it when speaking to visiting Frenchmen. The Basque people were mostly seafarers and sheepherders, while the native people were mostly hunters and farmers. When these the two groups met it was usually to conduct trade of some sort. The Basque American Indian pidgin was a pidgin used to help the Basque people and the native people to communicate. Before going into the linguistic portion of the analysis, we need to talk about the pidgin itself and how it came to be. That is; what the superstrate and the substrate of the pidgin are.
