In the tragic play by Shakespeare, The Tragedy of Macbeth Macbeth, and the Japanese film, Throne of
Blood, many characters are direct parallels of each other. There are many similarities and yet, key
differences within each of the characters. Macbeth and Washizu share many of the same character
traits, as do their wives, Lady Macbeth and Asaji, respectively. We can also see these similarities

They both have the will to manipulate and command the actions of their husbands and show
tremendous resolve to gain wealth and status. However, there are some key differences between Lady
Macbeth and Asaji. Lady Macbeth s mental health takes longer to decline into almost complete

The first World Trade Center Attack in 1993 and the Boston Marathon Attack in 2013 are two
significant attacks that share some similarities and difference. Although horrific, both attacks provide
useful information to combat terrorism in the future. In a way, the World Trade Center Attack
influenced the Boston Marathon Attack, and there is even an indirect link between the two attacks.
Observing how the occurrences resembled one another, and interpreting the way technology has
changed will provide some insight.
First, the World Trade Center Attack was perpetrated by the terrorist organization Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda
is a notorious, organized, and established group of radical Islamists. Al Qaeda has influenced
numerous other terrorist organizations in countries around the world. They have access to massive
resources, regarding both people, technology, know how, and weapons. Al Qaeda has been on the
intelligence radar for many years.
In contrast, the two subjects that committed the Boston Marathon Attack, later identified as the
Tsarnaev brothers, were not formally affiliated with any terrorist organization. They were self funded,
and their resources were limited. They were also relatively unknown to United States Intelligence,
although Russian Intelligence did have information that the brothers were potentially involved in
