This intercultural relationship took place this year. it was with one of my co
workers. We have a friendship relationship and clicked pretty well together and
rather fast. When we work together we are very happy to see each other, as this is

Artistic Statement
Every how to become a better writer, book, article, class or seminar seems to always
enforce the importance of reading, for reading is regarded as the writer s daily bread.
For it builds the reader s understanding of others experiences. Not that other writers
experience is more important than non writers but simply put books, poems,
paintings, articles or blogs are all artist statements that introduce an artist. Artists
possess a language, which is all their own, whether written, spoken, painting, drawing,
sculpture, or singing. As a writer, I want my artwork to have a critical view of social,
political and cultural issues. In my work, I want to analyze and rethink the so called
American dream, popular fairy tales, and my children chosen nursery rhymes. I want
to engage subjects as diverse as the civil rights movement, and classical music.
As a writer I want to understand why Africa has no history. Why the Caribbean
people are viewed as a people without a history. Often times these themes are merged
into mundane domestic entities, with capricious matters, and embellished with
beautiful text. The array of color in which they are wrapped in suggesting
perspectives as high as the mountain and moving farther and farther away as the stars
get closer. The texts do not always provide clues to the content and ascending
interpretations.

While invasive species are prohibited, that doesn t mean all new species are
prohibited. Not all new species become invasive. New species only become invasive
when they become independent from humans for survival by winning the
competition against native species for resources. These species also normally don t
obtain any natural predators which allows for growth and reproductive success to go

can take over the home of many native species because it is able to survive in
varying environmental conditions, such as high temperatures, dry soil, salt, wetlands,
roadsides, and any disturbed area. Japanese Knotweed is not only an invasive species
to vegetation, but also to humans because they can cause structural damage to the
roadways and block signs, guardrails, and walkways. The knotweed is so dense that it
prevents groundcovers and mosses to grow beneath the canopy of the knotweed,
which leaves riverbanks and roadsides near water susceptible to erosion. Knotweed
only becomes more problematic as it grows because its roots become longer, allowing
for re sprouting from the rhizome fragments. According to Massachusetts Department
of Transportation and the Friends of Arlington s Great Meadows, the successful
efforts to control knotweed include: sustaining long term management, staying within
the limits of the resources available by focusing on small areas, and finally to

When adult children know that an elderly parent should move to assisted living, it
can be an emotionally stressful time while struggling to convince this person to do so.
If you re dealing with this situation, consider some strategies that may help encourage
your parent to accept this step instead of battling against it.
Don t Push
If you don t have the authority to make your parent move, don t aggressively push the
issue if they are uncooperative. That s likely to have the opposite result of what you
hope to achieve.
Clarify the Problem
Gently explain why moving to assisted living is advisable, using details of specific

Bring your parent along and let them evaluate whether the community seems like a
place they might feel at home. If you can, go to more than one assisted living center
so your parent will have choices.
Ask Them to Consult People They Respect
If your parent seems to think your suggestion is out of line, encourage them to
consult other people whose opinions they respect. They might talk with a clergy
member or their doctor, for example. There may be another relative closer to their
own age who can help them understand why assisted living is a good idea.
Respect Your Parent s Opinion
You may prefer one facility over another, but that doesn t mean it s the community
your parent will like best. Listen to what they say and the reasons why they prefer a
different one than you do. Acknowledge that you might be considering aspects that
aren t enormously important in the big picture, such as your preferred community
being a few miles closer to your own home.
You may need to be patient unless the situation is reaching the crisis stage. Otherwise,
continue using these strategies in a non forceful but persistent way to give your
parent time to adjust to the idea and eventually make the decision on his or her
