A power plant, also referred to as a power
station and sometimes generating
station or generating plant, is an industrial
facility for the generation of
electric power.
1.Describe how energy from volcanoes transform to
generate electricity in a geothermal power plant.
2. Identify the components/parts of the geothermal
power plant.
3. Illustrate how energy from volcanoes is generated
through geothermal power plant.
4. Appreciate geothermal energy as a sustainable and
renewable source of energy.
 Geothermal
power plants
are used in
order to
generate
electricity by
the use of
geothermal
energy.
Power plants are built in an area where it is particularly
hot just below the surface such as near a group of
geysers, hot springs, or volcanic activity.

distribution in Ilocos Norte? No Abbreviation.
Is Geothermal Energy renewable?
Over all, in what ways are these renewable source
of energy beneficial to you as student or
individual, as a part of the industry and economy?
It’s Time to Reflect: A Boon or Bane?
Geothermal Energy is a renewable resource!

Your Opinion Matter!
Situation:
Suppose you had found out that your father had
inherited a large area of land which can be a great
source of geothermal energy. The local
government had been negotiated already your
father about the operation on building a possible
geothermal power plant on his inherited land. But
your father wants to know more about this power
plant.
Your task is to make an
illustration/drawing/infographics how does the
geothermal power plant works so that your father
will understand the whole process. And you will help
him to decide.
Performance Task:
Rubric for the Output:
